yandere luffy headcanons
HAS BEEN LIVING IN MY BRAIN FOR A BIT TOO LONG it needed to be on the interest for everyone to see
Tumblr media
yandere ! luffy . . . does not like at all when people eat up too much of your time, it really, really ruins his mood. he's seen people on the islands you've visited be really attracted to your charisma and it really pisses him off. he doesn't even want to imagine someone else coming into your life and being more important than him. no matter how angry he gets about it, though, he won't blame you. he'll blame the other person.
he's making unsatisfied noises at how long you've been standing and talking to the old lady about the prices of the goods. to him it was too boring to be conversing about it for so long, but now he was also getting annoyed with how attentive you'd been to her.
"let's go! let's go! let's go!" luffy began berating you for staying there for so long, trying to tug you away from the old lady.
"ah, he's quite lively isn't he?" she didn't seem bothered by his behavior, but luffy was bothered by her comment.
"you're takin' up too much of our time, old lad-" a hand clamped onto luffy's mouth before something rude could properly leave luffy's lips.
you bowed apologetically to the woman and dropped beri into her hands and took your share of the groceries.
"yay, thank god," luffy sighed, draping himself over your shoulders to increase skinship, "let's just go back to the sunny, please!!!"
yandere ! luffy . . . very clingy, beyond the normal bounds of that word. he feels as though it's only right that he should be practically living in your skin. he's your portable human backpack, wrapping his arms around your neck and legs around your waist. he also accidentally found out it was the perfect way for him to spy on you and whatever you did. he'd be watching with an attentive gaze at the tasks you do, who you talk to, etc. and he loves it. all he has to do is rest his chin on your shoulder and then he gets to see everything you see? he loves it.
yandere ! luffy . . . who definitely has zero concept of what manners are when it comes to people besides you. he doesn't really care if the person he's talking to thinks his tone is rude or brash, they're not you so it doesn't really matter to him how he speaks to them. he just looks at them as if they're weird for demanding more respect from him and then he blatantly refuses to give it to them. why should he respect other people that aren't you? that's weird...
yandere ! luffy . . . asks the most invasive questions, with an innocent smile on his face too. another thing he does with an innocent look is threatening people, wayyyy too casually.
"do you want me to kill them?" he grinned, laughing to himself - as if the idea would be funny. the person he was referring to was some woman that was shooting her shot with you. she was smiling ear-to-ear and gently asking if you'd like to spend time with her, somewhere quiet. luffy overheard as he was sitting behind you and whipped his head around, looking her up and down.
"luffy!" you'd scold him, chopping down on his head at the threat. he didn't pay your words any mind though, a displeased look on his face.
"she's interrupting our time together, though," luffy whined, pointing a finger at the woman who was now more baffled than bashful, "you! don't think you'll get away with this! i'll beat you up!"
"luffy! stop!!" you defended the poor woman, but she had already ran away in fear.
"good, she's gone! c'mon, have some of this meat!"
yandere ! luffy . . . places his strawhat on your head knowing that it makes everyone that interacts fear for their life. the hat has become an image associated with the intimidating captain and the destruction he brings to enemies that step in his way. also it makes him happy, fuels a possessive desire in his soul.
yandere ! luffy . . . doesn't really know exactly what he wants in terms of a relationship with you because he just isn't informed or has experience in that stuff. but ! he does know he wants you, completely. he wants you and will not stop striving for you until all of you is his to have, own, and keep. (emphasis on keep because you won't ever be leaving him)

❁ romantic dreams | jeon jungkook - @kooktrash (he’s always dreamt of finding his soulmate in some romantic way, bells ringing, birds chirping, maybe even a shine of light over their head. he never imagined to find them living next door to him with absolutely no clue to the extent of the growing infatuation he has toward you until it’s a little too late. hypnotized by your entire existence he finds his dreams and delusions of love to be a little too intense for anyone to bear.)
❁ Toned, Tanned, Fit & Ready - jungkook - @thvhoe (Jungkook loves acting like the word "Pain" doesn't exist in his vocabulary.)

break up with your boyfriend
Yandere trans!fem cheerleader x fem reader
It was so shittily made but I need to pump out more fics or else my blog will die. Thank you all for 1k followers though! I'll rewrite this in the future maybe
Tw: mentions of blackmailing, nsfw, slight breeding kink, batshit crazy girlfriend, not proofread, another oc mentioned!?🌺
Tumblr media
💄Eva saccharine has been your girlfriend since she first started transitioning. You helped her style her hair, do her nails, pick her clothes, find good makeup, anything she needed to feel like the real her. So when freshman year rolled in, it came as no surprise to you she fit right in with the clique.
💐Ofcourse you had your fears she'd choose them over you but that wasn't the case, because she'd make you eat lunch with them and sit on her lap, not so subtly humping your ass while talking all about cheer practice
🛍️boys wanted to date her, girls wanted to be her. She just wanted you, to just be the two baddest bitches on the block. It didn't matter if you were just like her or the complete opposite, she gushed over you. Praising you for being her good girl, her sweet little princess, her obedient pocket pussy-
💄but at this current moment? She was busy bullying your insides, forcing her fat cock into your slippery hole as she held you steady by your waist. Biting and groaning everytime she'd feel you squeeze that certain spot on her dick
"fu-uuckkk.. baby cakes, 'yer squeezin' me so goood.. ah.. hah.. you wouldn't mind if I pumped a few babes into your tight cunny right? Wanna be my baby mama?"
💐that made you squeeze tighter, holding onto the bedsheets for dear life. She had you face down, ass up and damn near breaking your back with how hard she was going. Hearing the normally composed and playful eva turn into a drooling pussy-drunk mess had you feeling butterflies, just going plap play plap-
🛍️let's just say, by the end of it, you couldn't walk for days afterwards. But no amount of hickies and perfume would be able to scare away a rather persistent guy. He was on the football team, star quarterback, rich asshole. sam white. Eva hated his guts, he thinks he can just waltz in and steal her bitch? Not on her watch.
💄this little feud had been going on for a while, and more times than you could count you've been caught in the crossfire. Though it was kinda funny, seeing them screeching insults at eachother and bickering. Eva would sassily flick her blonde hair and grab you by the collar of your neck, Dragging you away while Sam hooted and hollered at your retreating form
💐you never questioned her morbid fascination with anything horror or paranormal related. She was just obsessed with regular girl things. wanting you to help her summon a demon once, but you aren't that stupid, making blood pacts with them could result in very unsavory ending's and you quite cherished your soul and body
🛍️Eva has more than one account on different social medias, pretending to be multiple different people and Stalking your posts. She'd slide into your dms and flirt, seeing if you'd really cheat on her. She's so happy when you instantly block the account, guess you'll survive not being sent to her basement for another week
💄she has the audacity to grab a frilly pink pen and make you wear clothes that purposely shows off what she wrote. In bright bold lettering, Eva's little cum dump ♡ . Maybe she'll let you bring a jacket, only if you beg her really hard with those big doe eyes she loves. She put a collar and leash on you too
💐don't try breaking up with her, she takes 'they go low, I go lower" to another level. Threatening to post pictures of you in rather compromising positions. When did she record all of this? Who knows. She won't refrain from spreading nasty rumors of you that just force you to come sobbing into her arms, if you try and get comfort from somebody else she won't hesitate to eliminate them. Don't you see? She's the final girl, and you're her love Interest
"I told you not to run pretty baby.. now look what you've done. I gotta fix your mess up~.."
moral of the story: be a loyal loving girlfriend and she'll spoil you rotten with her daddy's black card ♥️

Our Little Love part seven - OT7 Mafia/Yandere au
Tumblr media
What’s that saying? One step forward two steps back? 👀 6K words containing: manipulation, toxic yandere men, non-consented acts of affection, lies, possessive behaviour, jealousy, allusion to crime and kidnapping.
“Little love,” Jin calls for you absentmindedly, frowning when you don’t look up from your book to answer him. It’s one you had read a million times before, maybe you didn’t hear him.
“Little love?” He tries again, looking confused as you let out a disgruntled sigh of annoyance.
He can see your jaw clench, something had pissed you off. Your foot became restless as you sat in the arm chair, it was only when Jimin cleared his throat obviously he remembered the terms and conditions you had enforced.
This time he lets out a big sigh, one of tested patience. He mumbles an apology before turning away, a bitter feeling creeping up his chest. Fuck, he resented the fact he couldn’t call you that anymore, it was like asking him not to breathe. Fuck fuck fuck, they needed to earn your forgiveness soon or this might actually kill them. Not that they ever underestimated you, but you really did know which weapons to pull to hurt them the most, and fuck did he have to admit they deserved it. Didn’t mean he had to like any of it.
Jimin follows him out, a quick glance back at you to see if you were paying any concern but of course not. Since the day you announced the break you’d been keeping your distance, Jimin had complained about it childishly with tantrum tears in his eyes but you had patiently explained you needed the space to clear your head.
Jimin scoffs at the memory, feeling sour about it still. The pout he wears gives away his thoughts when they both find Yoongi in the kitchen.
“Little love giving you a hard time?” he says almost amused.
It’s Jin’s turn to scoff dramatically, ears burning so red, Yoongi swears there’s steam.
“We can’t call her that anymore,” he complains, sulking.
Yoongi smiles a little, not because he truly found his hyung’s pain entertaining, but because he understood the pain.
“It’s a difficult situation,” Yoongi agrees, “but the alternative would have been so much worse.”
Jimin and Jin stare silently at him, their gazes aggressive as if they wanted to hit the male but they didn’t because he was right. The worst alternative wasn’t expecting you to leave, they all knew they would never let that happen, but if you had become a ghost of yourself, if they had broken you so badly there was nothing left to rebuild, then what would be left of you?
“When did you become so considerate?” Jimin scoffs, rolling his eyes. He didn’t like any of it, he didn’t care if you were right and they were wrong, you had taken away their most prized and valuable possession, you. He couldn’t help the internal tantrums as if someone had taken away his favourite toy. Call him childish, call him whatever the hell you wanted, he hated this situation, and he couldn’t hide it.
They apologised, and apologised, and apologised, and you still gave them the cruellest punishment you could think of.
“You’re still thinking with anger,” Yoongi acknowledges, knowing when Jimin cooled down from this he would probably be the one with the most regret and remorse, what he didn’t know is Jimin was clinging to his resentment with all his might, because once that gave way he would have so much to answer for.
Men would pay money to see Jung Hoseok hesitate, but that was exactly what he was doing now. Another book in your hand (you were reading a bit too much lately, he didn’t like it, it was as if you knew you couldn’t leave physically so you were doing so mentally), and he was stalling himself with interrupting you.
Your rejection cut holes into him, and that’s what he was afraid of when approaching you today. When he was younger he used to be afraid of everything, but after indulging in the horrors of survival and the syndicate, nothing terrified him any more, or so he thought before his heart belonged to you.
“Litt-” he catches himself before he says it too loud, clearing his throat quietly hoping you didn’t hear him. “Y/n?”
He sounds more confident, his more serious persona going up as if that would protect him here. He knew he needed it, any sane person after experiencing his pleasure and pain games would run at the sight of him, and a part of him was getting ready to catch you if you did.
You look at him and it has him crumbling. Something in his chest physically hurts him so bad he thinks he needs to go see a specialist, one glance from you and he’s ready to beg on his knees again for your forgiveness. The distance between you, although you were here in front of him, killed him. It felt eerily similar to what it did when you left, and it confused his brain and body so much.
He had to remind himself every day, you were still here, you still loved them, this was just temporary.
“I-I wasjus- I was just heading to the b-basment,” forget money, men would lay down their lives to see Jung Hoseok stutter and stumble over his words.
You frown in question when he doesn’t continue, but stares at you expectantly, until he realises he hadn’t explained what he wanted.
“For a workout!” He rectifies himself quickly before taking a breath to calm himself, “I wondered if you wanted to join me?”
He mentally pats himself on the back quickly for sounding more put together, but then his nerves start to shake again when you don’t respond immediately. You contemplate it, for too long in his eyes, stretching out the pause until you have the man sweating. Who needs a work out, just piss your girlfriend off and try to spend time with her while she's still mad.
“Yeah, okay,” you nod, finally putting down your book (he should get Jimin to burn them all). “I’ll go get changed.”
The relief and joy that floods Hobi almost makes him pass out, a genuine smile he hasn’t felt on his own face for days bursts through. This was a step in the right direction, you didn’t hate him or you would’ve shut him down. With the amount of hope in his system, he was getting giddy.
You wanted some time alone this evening, without them lingering around you, with poor attempts of covering their intentions with busying themselves. As if you couldn’t see Jimin’s imploring stare as he walked past you from the corner of your eyes. Or the way Jin would walk towards you, hesitate and then walk away.
You didn’t say they couldn’t talk to you, you were just on a break. Part of you knows you should seek them out and start civil conversation but that part also knew once you opened the door they would come barging through. An inch would turn into a mile and you would be back where you started.
So now you were busying yourself with the world’s worst chore, just to escape and breathe for a second, laundry. You were sorting through the load at a snail’s pace, knowing when you were done you’d have to endure them again. You’re so embedded in your own thoughts you don’t feel another presence join you.
Arms wrap around you, making you still. His figure almost engulfs you from behind, his nose already finding purchase on your neck as he buries himself against you. You try not to sigh, you were sick of hearing the sound yourself but it was always  one of patience.
You understood how hard it was for them to accept your decision for a ‘break’, but all you wanted was some respect for it. And this broke your no touching rule.
“Tae let go,” you say without an ounce of emotion, continuing sorting out the laundry in front of you.
His only reaction to your words is the opposite of course, holding you tighter against him making your heart skip too many beats to count. Your skin sizzled with something akin to longing, a fire he only seemed to ignite when his breath hit your neck.
You don’t give in. You throw the item of clothing in your hand down, both hands on the edge of the basket as you still, standing statue as he tries his hardest to work through your defences. You don’t respond when he nuzzles his nose against where he’s buried, or to the rumble of his chest when he breathes you in deeply. His eyes are closed, you know they are, he’s relishing the moment all he can before you take it away.
He doesn’t feel you respond the way he wants you to, he wants you to melt against him and the urge is so strong but somehow you resist. He whines, the sound so soft near your ears you almost miss it. He tries holding you tighter still, his thumb stroking soft circles on your skin, trying to tempt you to break your resolve. Gentle, almost whisper like kisses are placed on your shoulder as he finally breaks away.
“Are you done?” You say almost coldly as he steps back, picking back up another item of clothing.
You hear him sniff but you don’t let it move you.
“Heaven, please,” he begs, a fist in your top clutching onto you.
That’s when you turn to face him. If he expects to see any softness in your gaze he’s sorely mistaken, it’s not a glare you’re giving him but it’s close enough that it burns. You don’t even flinch when you see tears in his eyes.
“I asked you not to touch me,” you state quietly but your words are firm. “Or that if you did, you asked first.”
He looks down, partly in shame, partly in grief. You can’t stand to see the sight, it makes your heart ache, so you walk away.
“Y/n?” Jungkook asks for your attention, biting his lips in worry. “Can I ask you about the book you’re reading?”
The others in the room feel an overwhelming sense of envy when you smile at the maknae. Jimin’s jaw goes slack as you scoot over to let Jungkook sit beside you. Envy was a dangerous thing, how he wanted to pluck the youngest of them out of the seat and take his place, but he hadn’t calmed his emotions down enough yet to approach you properly, and he knew if he did he’d ruin whatever rebuilding the others had done. No, he had to be patient with himself and withdraw, even if that meant physically. He was playing cards with Yoongi and Seokjin, but he places his cards down and leaves.
Jin’s pout overtakes his face when he turns away from the sight of Jungkook grinning while you talk animatedly, putting down a card without thinking and letting Yoongi take the win this round. Yoongi didn’t even notice, his gaze goes soft at the way you laugh at a teasing comment Jungkook made, a sound he hasn’t heard in what felt like forever. The sound even makes the corners of Jin’s pout pull up.
The youngest of the group honestly thought he was in paradise, he didn’t even care about the book he just wanted to hear you talk without reservation. His focus was on the way your eyes lit up, the genuine smile on your face, how does he try to make this moment last forever? He pays attention to every word you utter, asking the right question to keep you going, even making a joke here and there and feeling so pleased with himself when you laugh.
How did the relationship regress back so far that he felt like this was the start of it, like he was still pursuing you to give him a chance, like he had to work up the courage to ask you out all over again. The answer of course was in their mistakes, the thought dampens his mood but he pushes it away. He didn’t know when he would get another moment like this, he had to soak it all in and cherish it before it was over.
Your defences go up when you spot Jimin bringing Taehyung to you, the shorter male holding his hand guiding your bear like boyfriend in front of you. You look at them both expectantly, wondering what the theatrics were for. Taehyung sniffles, his face hanging low, his red hoodie pulled down as far as he can get it to hide himself.
“Taehyung has something he wants to say Heaven- I mean angel- I mean Y/n,” he corrects himself repeatedly with a shake of his head, cheeks burning in slight embarrassment at the blunder, but he wouldn’t apologise for it even it that made him a hypocrite for what he was making Taehyung do.
He pushes his friend gently, encouraging him to speak.
“Tae?” you say gently, remembering how harshly you spoke to him the other day.
Apparently that was all it took for the man to break down into tears in front of you, falling to his knees as he bawled. Your jaw drops in shock at the action, but you’re more surprised at the fact he holds himself back from launching into you for comfort.
You can see how hard it is to do so, he’s hugging himself, but his nails dig into the fabric of his clothes. He still doesn’t look at you, his gaze on the floor. You give him a second to compose himself, the sobs turning into little hiccups as he wipes his face with his sleeve.
When he looks at you it's your turn to grip the armrests of the chair with all your might, those glassy eyes beg you for love and it takes everything not to smother him in your embrace. But that would undo all the work you’ve been doing, you had to talk it out first and then maybe if this was resolved you could reward him with physical affection, just a little.
“I-I’m sorry,” he says through a hoarse voice, the sound only breaking your resolve further. “About the other day, I s-should’ve asked first.”
He tries to take a deep breath in but it’s shaky, for some reason what he wants to say next breaks him out into more tears. He covers his face as he cries, Jimin rubbing his back providing him with the comfort you couldn’t give just yet.
“Doyouhateme?”
The muffled question breaks your heart, Jimin can see it on your face and it has him fighting down a smirk. He may have played a hand at manipulating the situation, convincing Taehyung this was the best way to get back into your good books.
“Tae no,” you breathe, eyes watering but you blink back the tears. You didn’t want to show them any weakness anymore. “I don’t hate you.”
You sigh, eyes to the ceiling, as if begging for control over yourself as you try really hard to not give in to the feeling of wanting to crawl into his lap and hold him.
“I just really needed some space that day,” you explain, “and you caught me at a bad time.”
That wipes away Jimin’s elation, all this talk about space and distance, it already felt like you were living on Mars. How much space did you want? In his opinion there had been too much space, that was the problem, or were you forgetting the long agonising months of your absence?
Taehyung nods, thankfully retaining your attention away from Jimin who couldn’t hide his thoughts from his face.
You can’t sleep, tossing and turning from your side to your back and then to your side again. Were you fighting a losing battle? Were you being unfair in asking them to change? You remember cases of forgotten wives refusing to leave their no good husbands, the amount of inane times you heard the cries of ‘I can get him to change’... had you become one of those women? Then of course came the others, the women who knew they could not work miracles on their partners and gave up. Some left, some stayed, and you remember watching them all in the years of your career, arrogantly thinking it would never be you, no man would ever trap you like this. There was a joke in there somewhere, one man certainly didn’t, but seven did.
The knock on the door thankfully interrupts your endless circle of pity, a meek Jungkook peeking around as he opens the door. Something about the scene felt familiar but the shoe was on the other foot. He was waiting for permission to come in, you don’t know why the sight made you smile, made you warm.
If anyone was proof that they were trying for you it was Jungkook, Yoongi had kept his distance out of respect for your rules, you know he only did so because he couldn’t help himself if he got too close. Jimin was similar although, you could see he was keeping his distance mentally, angry with you and your conditions. It would pass, you were sure, or at least you hoped.
Jungkook was the only one that accepted everything without complaint, and you knew it wasn’t easy. You were so grateful to him for it, for respecting your boundaries sincerely, for giving you hope that this relationship could be salvaged.
He almost trips over himself when you pull the covers back wordlessly, inviting him in, the stumble of his legs as he races towards you makes you giggle. He climbs in without hesitation, about to reach out for you but he stops himself, eyes looking up at you, wanting to ask you out loud but too afraid to.
“It’s okay,” you reassure him quietly, as if talking loudly would break the peace you felt with him there, that you’d second guess yourself.
Arms you’ve longed for wrap around your waist, pulling you towards him. You hold him back gently, not letting yourself get lost in him the way you wanted. In the darkness, your gazes meet, talking loudly in a way filled the silence.
“I’ve missed you,” he breathes out hard, unable to hold it in any longer.
“I’ve missed you too,” you admit.
He bites his lips to refrain from saying anything else, to break the illusion that everything was okay.
“I used to think I understood your darkness,” you murmur, stroking his hair out of his face.
He pulls you closer, burying his head against your chest, the youngest didn’t like how that sentence was going and part of him didn’t want to hear the rest.
“But I don’t think I ever did,” you confess in a whisper, starting to ramble. “I don’t get it Kookie, why me? This obsession, I thought I felt it the same as you, I thought you guys understood me too.”
You let out a shaky breath, trying to keep up with your thoughts when you felt the hands of sleep trying to catch you.
“Maybe I was just trying to excuse my own darkness,” you sigh, almost in defeat. “Or maybe I just fed yours too much.”
“You gave us your love,” he mumbles against your skin, eyes closed as he breathes in your scent. “Your acceptance, you didn’t feed our darkness baby, you just didn’t see the extent of it.”
The silence is suffocating. Yoongi normally appreciates it but in this situation it was unsettling. They’re all in the living room, some pretending to do their own thing, but no one was paying any attention to anything other than you. Yoongi and Namjoon did so blatantly, Yoongi sitting on the couch away from you but his stare is nowhere else. This didn’t break the rules, you didn’t tell him he couldn’t soak you in with his eyes whenever he wanted.
The others were also very obvious with their glances towards you, Jin was dusting the same spot of the living room over and over. Hoseok flipping through the tv channels with Jungkook sitting beside him, the maknae biting his lips in worry with every peek he took, a habit he hadn’t had since he was a teenager. Taehyung and Jimin uncharacteristically played chess but all the pieces were in the wrong places, arbitrarily moving them just to keep appearances so you didn’t call them out.
And Namjoon… the man was staring daggers into your form. Elbow on his thigh, leaning forward, his chin on his thumb, his finger on his face tapping away on his cheekbone impatiently. He was supposed to be going over the papers in his lap, but they were being scrunched in his other hand. Yoongi thought he looked like a bomb about to explode, and he wasn’t wrong.
“That’s it!” Namjoon almost growls as he slams his file down, standing from his seat while everyone stares in shock at his outburst.
He walks towards you, and you meet his glare but refuse to move from the comfort and safety of the tub chair, you don’t even close your book.
“This ‘break’ is over,” he snarls, gestating with his hands trying to find a conduit for his anger. “Do you understand, little love?”
You look up at him with eyes simmering a fire he only ignited, meeting his glare head on.
“I decide when this break is over,” you say calmly, refusing to fight him at his level.
“No.”
“No?” Your brows scrunch in disbelief and anger, there goes your plan to remain calm. “What do you mean ‘no’?”
You throw your book back into the seat as you rise to meet him eye to eye, although he’s still looking down at you.
“I mean…” he breathes gruffly, grazing his hand with yours at your side. “No.”
“You can’t b-“
Your voice is smothered by his lips, his soft touch turning into an iron grip as he pulls you closer, devouring you like a man starved and in his eyes that’s exactly what he was. You push him away, but he doesn’t allow for any space between you.
Even when you’re banging your fist against his chest, unable to breathe, he doesn’t budge. You’re at his mercy, only when he decides he’s had enough (for now), does he pull away.
You look dishevelled almost, breathing hard, your eyes glistening with tears. The sight shouldn’t arouse him but it does.
You have the audacity to childishly wipe his kiss away with the back of your hand, a tough swipe that does nothing to erase the force he handled you with. He chuckles, the sound makes your ears burn, feeling the warmth of shame colour them in.
The others stare with the jaws wide open, fear settling in that this was taking too many steps in the wrong direction. It takes everything not to call you back when you storm away, it takes everything not to follow.
No one says a word, but they all glare accusingly at their leader except Taehyung, who only looks down in shame.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Yoongi asks gruffly, sleep still in his voice.
“Out.” You respond bluntly, avoiding his gaze.
“I asked where,” he pushes when you pull Taehyung’s hoodie over your head. You were drowning in the fabric, and he pretended the sight didn’t make him ache for you. The same way you were trying so hard not to let his sleepy state bring down your defences, no matter how cute he looked in the shorts and grey top.
“What does it look like Yoongi,” your head was spinning with too many thoughts and you needed to clear it. “For a run.”
“I’ll come with you,” he says it like an offer but it’s not, you know it’s not.
“No,” you refuse simply, finally meeting his stare. “Send one of your men to keep an eye on me, it's what you did before anyway.”
He’s quiet, observing you for a moment. You hated it when he did that, it was like he could see inside of you and yet, despite that, you felt like he couldn’t understand anything he saw. You break eye contact first, putting on your trainers while he continues to stare. Why couldn’t you read him the same, how could he still get under your skin with his silence even after all this time?
“I’ll send Jungkook,” he says as you open the door. “He’ll keep his distance.”
He doesn’t take the slam as you leave personally, he knows you just need to vent your frustrations, but because you were so isolated- sorry, because they isolated you, you had no one to vent to, no one who was objective to talk to. Physically stretching your mind would maybe do you some good.
“Did you seriously let her go out unsupervised?” Namjoon seethes as he approaches Yoongi, quick to dial one of their men regardless of what nefarious time of the morning it was. The first call goes to voicemail.
Yoongi sighs, he was on his way back to bed, guess not.
“She deserves our trust,” he replies. “And I was about to send Jungkook.”
“It’s not about trust,” Namjoon bites back, another call unanswered, “it’s about safety, or are you forgetting our enemies hunt our weaknesses.”
“Our enemies know if they touch her they’ve signed their own death certificate, no one would dare cross us now, not with the amount of blood we’ve shed,” Yoongi groans in aggravation. “Not to mention you’ve bought out the police Namjoon.”
“But not every policeman, or Captain, or are you forgetting what we did to him?”
“You gave him a warning, he’ll behave,” Yoongi states, ready to leave the conversation but he can’t help himself with what he says next. After Namjoon’s actions last night, he was feeling a little vengeful, even if he didn’t completely mean his words. “We should’ve left him unharmed, we knew she didn’t want us to hurt him.”
The shock in Namjoon’s eyes flashes for a second before they compose themselves to a stare. He puts his phone back in his pocket, maybe Jungkook was the best one to go, you didn’t seem to punish him as harshly as the others.
The silence between the men turns the air cold, their gazes stoic but speaking volumes. Namjoon wouldn’t stand for mutiny or disloyalty, he especially didn’t stand for anyone questioning his decisions.
“He hurt her,” he explains himself patiently, “he wants to take her away from us.”
Yoongi scoffs, a humourless grin on his face as he stares back in ridicule at their leader.
“We hurt her,” he states, eyes blank of emotion, “where’s our bullet to the knees.”
If you were being honest with yourself, you hated running, you hated the way each breath burned as it filled your lungs, how each limb could feel like lead, but the pain was better than the thoughts you were trying to clear.
You remember at the police academy, Suho and Kai used to run circles around you, but somewhere along the way your competitiveness got the better of you, and you trained harder than them both. It used to annoy you to hell that they were physically much stronger than you, but those days were some of the best. The three of you were so close, each other’s confidants when things went sour, the two you’d hang out with when a case went wrong. Now who did you have to confide in?
Maybe it’s your conscious or unconscious thoughts making your legs move in a particular direction, but you don’t realise where you’re headed until you see the sign above the door. The breakfast place… where everything went to shit a third time.
You barely glance inside as you run past but the sight of someone familiar makes you double take. Think of the devil and he appears?
His eyes catch yours when you stop in your tracks, he’s sitting at a table alone and the sight of him brings back that day like a breath after being underwater for so long. An apology is at the tip of your tongue, your eyes start to water, you know you have to keep running, if any of them finds you here with him, he’d be dead. You’re about to turn away when he waves at you, a simple smile that didn’t meet his eyes sent your way as he watches the realisation hit you.
His hand was covered in thick bandages, and your stare doesn’t leave them. There’s no thought in your mind as your legs move you into the building, ignoring the waiter's greeting as you walk towards your old Captain with dread.
He shifts in his seat, letting you see the bandages on his leg, around his knee, the crutches resting on the seat next to him. Your eyes are wide with shock before your gaze turns into one of mournful rage. Tears start forming in your eyes as you shake.
The sense of betrayal that overwhelms you has you reaching a hand for the table, gripping the edge tight to steady yourself.
They lied.
They looked you in the eyes and lied. All of them, including Jungkook. You don’t let yourself sob, not when a fire burns any attachment you felt towards them to dust.
You move your gaze from his injuries to his face, his stare never having left you.
“Arrest them,” your voice is hoarse but without a morsel of regret, anger paving the way forward now, filling the loss you felt deep inside of you.
They must’ve thought you were fucking stupid, they must’ve laughed behind your back, humoring you with their acts of trying to change. Fuck, you were a fool, they played you again and again and you just took it every fucking time. There was never going to be any change, and you refused to be their prisoner any longer.
“I’ll be your witness,” you say it with conviction, although a part of you grieves. “I’ll give you all the evidence you need, just send them away.”
Suho doesn’t say a word, and that makes it all so much worse. You can feel something creeping around you, shadows of them that have latched onto you, crawling all over your skin. You wanted rid of this dark energy, you wanted out.
You don’t break his stare, not for a second, you can tell he’s deep in thought, contemplating your resolve, and if he saw a hint of uncertainty in you he would do no such thing. Why would he risk it? They hurt him, they could hurt him again.
He reaches for his phone, and you take a premature breath of relief.
“Make the call,” he commands, handing the device to you.
When Yoongi dragged Jungkook out of bed this morning, the maknae had begrudgingly crawled out of the house. His body ran on autopilot when he left to find you, eyes half open, yawning in the morning air. His hoodie pushes his hair to fall in his face but he’s too tired to drag the fabric back.
It wouldn’t take long to find you, he could run circles around you if he wanted but the thought of maybe spending some time with you alone made his legs pick up the pace, a goofy grin on his face as he thought about it.
Yes you were probably mad about Namjoon’s actions yesterday, not that Jungkook blamed him all that much, it was hard to stay away from you, but he was starting to understand your perspective a little more. Especially after the last time you pulled away, and he couldn’t let that happen again, he wouldn’t survive it another time. He wouldn’t blame you if you gave him the cold shoulder, he just hopes you don’t punish him because of Namjoon, deflecting your anger wherever it did damage.
He’d calm you down, he’s sure of it. He’d tell you that what their big bad boss did was wrong and he was on your side, he’d tell you that he loved you and respected you, and it didn’t matter how long you took to forgive them he was sure the relationship would heal.
He’s so lost in thought he doesn’t realise how far he’s travelled, it’s only when there’s still no sight of you his grin begins to fade. He should’ve caught up to you by now, this was the route you normally take, and you knew better than to go another way.
What if… no. You wouldn’t dare leave again, you wouldn’t. Jungkook breaks into a sprint, running every route he can think of, not stopping for a moment even when his lungs and legs burn. He’s looking round like a mad man, but he can’t find you. What if something happened? What if someone got to you or hurt you? Memories flash in his mind to long, long ago when that was almost the case. What if?
Shit. A hand to his pocket tells him he’s left his phone, he couldn’t contact the others to join him. His best decision was to get back to the house asap. Jin would still have the tracker on your phone, they would find you, it was all going to be fine.
The fear that seized his heart was not fooled by such idealistic thoughts, his eyes had seen the true brutality of the world, sometimes caused by his own hands, and now his mind played a myriad of images of his little love in all the situations of pain he caused others. He always wondered if karma would catch him one day, he never thought it would take you.
He slams the door open so hard it struggles to stay on the hinges.
“I CAN’T FIND HER!” He yells into the open space of the home with all the air in his lungs.
It doesn’t take long for the hoard to assemble.
“What do you mean you can’t find her?” Jin yells back, reaching for his phone to track you without prompt.
Jungkook doesn’t miss the way Namjoon glares at Yoongi, the shorter man ignoring him.
“She’s probably taken another route,” he says calmly.
“You better hope that’s all,” Namjoon says through gritted teeth.
“What if someone’s got her?” Jimin panics.
“No,” Hoseok shuts that idea down, “everyone knows there is nowhere in Seoul to hide from us.”
“There’s always one idiot that’s willing to try, or have you forgotten the last time someone tried to take her?” Taehyung says heatedly.
“And we know how that ended,” Hoseok growls back.
The bickering among themselves grows in volume, so loud that they almost miss what Jin says.
“What?” It’s Yoongi that dares to ask him to repeat himself, the drumming in his ears drowning the words. He must’ve misheard…
“She’s at the police station,” there’s no mistaking it this time. Jin looks solemnly at Namjoon while all their heads spiral.
“She’s not gone there of her own will,” Yoongi shakes his head in denial, “they’ve arrested her or something.”
Namjoon says eerily quiet, his breathing hard, his jaw clenched.
“Namjoon we own the police,” Hoseok pushes, “make a fucking call see why she’s there.”
“Fuck making a call! I’m going over there,” Jungkook announces, turning back to the front door, but the sight of a police van pulling up at their mansion makes him stop in his tracks.
“Are they dropping her home,” Jimin asks stupidly, unable to comprehend why else they would be there.
The older four men look at eachother knowingly.
“Should we run?” Jin asks, making Taehyung and Jimin whip their heads to stare at him incredulously.
“Why would we run?” Namjoon breaks his silence, “they’ll take us right to her.”
As if on queue a smoke grenade rolls into the room, blasting off within seconds, covering the air. Namjoon almost laughs, they sent the fucking swat team, how ridiculous when they could’ve settled this like gentlemen.
Bodies swarm in, yelling commands and they all fall to their knees as instructed. On any other day, if you were home, these men wouldn’t make it through the door, but Namjoon was right, they were a one way ticket to finding you.

— INTO HIS ARMS
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: yandere!percy jackson x fem!gf!reader
summary: percy decides to scare you back into his arms, of course you need him, you couldn’t survive without!
warnings: combat, injuries, blood, kinda creepy oc, kinda backwards views/manly views, obsessed?? guilt, makeups, hugs
a/n: part one —this is kinda inspired by @supercutszns fighting chance!
Tumblr media
you hadn’t slept all night.
thinking about your fight with percy and the fact that he was for once alone, because of you. alone in a huge cabin all to himself just because he was worried about you and another boy.
but on the other hand, he was over reacting. it was getting hard for you to be with percy in all honestly, as much as you loved him it seemed like he would never let you be. you were conflicted, did you want to be with him and put up with his jealousy? or break up with your bestfriend and be miserable?
the entire morning, all you could think about was your dilemma. even as you sat through tactic and strategy with annabeth and your group, percy was on your mind as well as behind you. “percy, y/n, you’ll be with me.” annabeth spoke as everyone split apart. you sighed, even with annabeth you knew she’d plop on her cap and disappear, you were stuck with percy.
“i’d rather scout for the other flag.” murmurs and whispers rung out around you as everyone wondered why on earth percy would want to seperate from you. “fine, let’s get moving.” you turned to look back at him, but he was already gone.
great, he was pissed. but why? he was the one acting irrational, and you just wanted a break. percy was acting as if you were in the wrong.
as you expected, annabeth disappeared soon enough, leaving you to yourself. you sat on a log, over looking your surroundings. engrossed in your pathetic attempts to entertain yourself, you hadn’t noticed the approaching enemy footsteps.
you tried to stand but the sword at your throat stopped you. “don’t move, where’s the flag?” you turned your head slightly to view the boy, but he was unrecognisable. he could tell you didn’t know, “you don’t even know my name do you?” you closed your eyes as your hand curled around the hilt of your sword, you lifted it promptly, clashing with his sword.
the two of you began to fight, loud clashes rumbling through the thick forest as you gained ground, merciless in your pursuit. you were close to winning, he was losing energy and the slashes you’d landed had him wincing. eventually you managed to slam the sword out of his hand, causing him to trip and land on his butt. “do you give up?” his chest was heaving, you expected him to be mad, but a smile came across his face, “no.”
the yells came from behind you, three of his teammates charging towards you as you picked up his sword and ran. chucking it away, you continued running as you heard their taunts, “where do you think you’re going sweetheart?” laughs echoed around, “give up!” you ended up at the shoreline as you turned around and viewed all three of them.
“what’re you gonna do now huh?” the blonde headed boy looked vicious and ready to fight, you weren’t one to stand down, “beat your ass into the floor probably, three on one? real mature.” his smirk was wiped off as he snarled, “shut up!” he ran at you, dumb idea, you dashed to the side as he ran past you, being pushed into the floor whilst you grabbed his sword and threw it into the water.
the other two charged at you, you were good of course, but two fully trained older teens? you weren’t so sure. you’d slipped on the watery shore, causing a gash along your arm. the blood ran down your arm as your hand clutched the sword, “where’s your back talk?” the other boy smirked as you laughed, “up your ass.” you shouted as you brung the sword up, slashing his shoulder before you pushed him onto the floor.
what you hadn’t noticed was the blonde boy staggering to his feet, his friends sword in his hand. he came at you from behind, slamming the handle into your back as you screamed out in pain. your head slammed against the floor, your arm ached and your eyes were hazy. the boy chuckled as the tip of the sword rested on your chest, the sword trailed around your chest, “my names toby, by the way.”
“that’s a pretty stupid name toby.” percy spoke as the boy turned, “what do you want jackson?” percy’s smile was oddly wide, but soon enough it dropped, “for you to never mess with my girlfriend, ever.” the boy pointed his sword at percy, “is that right? how old are you anyways? five? you couldn’t beat me on my worst day.” percy took a step forwards as toby took a step back, “first of all, i could easily beat you, and second, the minute you laid your hands on her, it became your worst day.”
the water slammed into toby from behind, a large wave and toby shouted out, his entire body was in excruciating pain. “help! please!” toby clawed at the floor as the water seemed to drag him in, but the shouts and cheers of your team and luke waving the opposite teams flags drowned him out.
percy rushed to your side, “are you okay? can you hear me?” you nodded lazily, “my arm, percy my arm.” he peeled off your armour hurriedly before rolling up your sleeve. the blood was flowing still, but all percy could think of was how badly he wanted to put a million more cuts in toby and his friends. the campers saw the scene, the two boys on the floor, toby’s hands flapping around in the water, trying to keep himself afloat.
the water, the water will heal her.
the same voice from before was in his head, and he decided to listen. he picked you up, dragging you near the water. the campers watched intently as percy’s hand hovered above the water, a line of water formed as he directed it to your arm. and soon enough the gash was gone and you were okay. he clutched onto your face, “y/n, i’m so sorry, i should’ve been there with you.”
you shot up, hugging percy tightly. “it’s not your fault, thank you for saving me. but percy, you used the water.” percy hadn’t even realised in all honestly, he’d only been concerned with you. he glanced at toby, an idea in his head. he reached his hand out, and suddenly toby was dragged back to shore.
shouts and cheers came from the campers, and as you looked up, you noticed the trident above his head, “perce.” he looked at you intently, “what’s wrong?” your hand pointed upwards as he viewed it. chirons voice boomed, declaring him as the son of poseidon.
but all he could find himself caring for was you, clutching onto him and smiling, “i’m so happy for you percy.” your arms held onto him as his slithered around your waist, “i’m sorry, for everything. i’d very much like to move some of my things back to your cabin. if you’ll take me back percy?” he smiled, “of course.”
percy had been claimed, and he now had you again, back in his arms once more, he wasn’t sure if he’d ever let go.

I'm just imagining how Gilbert von Obsidian would admire the pretty engagement ring he put on your finger as you eat breakfast together.
He has you brought back to him to his kingdom, dressed in the finest midnight black silk, the scent of fresh roses still lingering on your flesh as he indulges in the softness of your neck. Sometimes he just allows his lips to linger, to tease you like the cruel man that he is.
Other times, his patience snaps like a twig and he just bites.
The bites are never gentle. They're rough and sharp, the bruise would stay there for weeks to come and don't you dare cover them up.
You would just upset him if you did that, and that is not something you want to do.
It gets harder and harder to focus on the food in front of you as Gilbert just keeps going at it, his red eye twinkling like a ruby, its sheer redness nearly blinding you with its intensity.
You are at an impasse - do you fight him? Your spirit is still intact and you have no desire to stay stuck in this gilded cage he set up for you. But you just think back to all the blood that was spilled because of you, how many people lost their lives because they helped you, none of which knew that you were engaged to the deranged beast prince of Obsidian.
Gilbert sinks his teeth into you once more and you are brought back down to reality.
There really was no fighting him anymore, was there?
You let out an accidental little yelp, much to Gilbert's pleasure. You feel him grin, his pearly whites tainted with your thick, scarlet blood, just how he liked it. He won, he knew this.
He was just happy that you finally were aware of that fact too.

How Soon Is Now ?
Tumblr media
How far can obsession drive someone? In a world of myth, Clarisses obsession with you drives her more than the magic in her blood.
This is an interactive story so the person reading this is involved.
Warnings!: obsessed clarisse, dirty kinda thoughts, stalking, showering together, jealousy, picture taking
The water filled your own mind. The water filled your own thoughts and ideas. It flowed through your own locks of hair and played around your limbs.
The stars you saw in the country were different than the ones in the city. The yellow light mixing with the blue water made the blurry green light that was illuminating the pool.
It was a nice gesture for camp to make you your own pool though. Being the only child of Poseidon was hard. Every half blood at camp had a sibling which made them less lonely.
You didnt care that much though, at least you didnt have to share your cabin, or your pool. Your eyes felt heavy as the water soothed you to sleep, slowly getting rid of your thoughts.
You however werent aware of Clarisse in the other room. Her staring at herself in the mirror with a bikini on. She never even imagined herself in a bikini. All of this just to get your attention. To change your wild thoughts to you thinking of just her.
If there was one thing Clarisse wasnt, it was dumb. She knew youd never fall in love with a girl, much less her. I mean you had the biggest crush on Luke, but that didnt change the fact she had all of those pictures of you on her phone. You guys together, your selfies, you walking around camp, you sleeping, you changing, you.
As you felt the sleep pulling you in deeper you felt the water around you change. When your eyes opened you saw Clarisse step into the pool.
“Thought id join you.” Even though she wanted to say sorry for intruding your night swim, she never apologizes.
Your eyes traveled from her face and down her body. Youd never seen her in lude clothing before.
“Whats with the swim suit,” You said to her calmly as you change from your floating position to standing in the water watching her get in.
“Why? You see something you like ?” She asks in a teasing tone even though she really did mean it.
“Im just not used to seeing you in so….. less.” You responded to her question honestly. You started swimming to her slowly as now her whole body was in.
You wrapped your arms around her waste and put your head on her chest. Your ear was pressed on her heart and you heard her strong heart. As you kept listening to her heart you heard it quickening its pace. The water always calmed peoples heart rate so this was odd…
“Hey, you okay? You asked her.
“Im fine Y/n”
As you relaxed you felt her swim around as you were still wrapped around her. You liked being close with her. She was your best friend after all. When she came to a step in the pool she sat down. The rocky flooring of the pool was a pain to her ass though.
You were now sitting on her lap with your knees on either side of her legs. She didnt miss the fact you were also wearing a bikini however. Her eyes catching your chest and ass.
Her hands traced small patterns on your skin, some just plainly spelling out ‘i love you’, ‘love me’, or ‘mineminemine’.
Your breathing calmed her down. The feeling of your slow breathing made her relax and calm down too. She cradled your head as her usual temper her father gave her was just washing away since you were with her.
“Y/n, why do you even like Luke?” she asked as she felt the pang of jealously come over her again.
She seemed to have caught you off guard as you were quiet again. You knew why you liked him but you just couldnt put it into words.
“Well, hes cute, hes nice, hes got a good personality, and hes just different than any other guy. Hes just not an asshole Clar.”
She knew she could never compare to him. Her fathers temper and quick reactions taking over her before she could even think of anything else. Luke was more calm, he knew how to control his emotions and knew how to be a perfect boy, exactly what you would want.
After just soaking each other in more you both silently agreed you had enough and got out.
There was something weird about the washrooms. They were just all connected, the only thing dividing them being the dividers inbetween the showers. There were benches in the big room too. It was like those school locker rooms but bigger and with showers.
As you were about to step into one of the showers you stopped and turned around.
“Do you want to join me ?”
The question made her freeze. Her mind went blank as her head rappidly nodded.
Taking off your bikini you tossed it on the floor and waited for Clarisse to do the same. She seemed to have trouble with the top of her bathing suit top so you helped her take it off. Once she was nude too you closed the curtain of the shower stall.
It was pretty dark in the stall but she could still see your beautiful face. She watched the water from the shower head go over your shoulders and down your body.
Reaching for the soap you decided to wash her hair. Your long slim fingers scratching her scalp made her shoulders relax from its tense state.
Even though she was taller than you, you still managed to massage her scalp just right. Her groans started becoming quieter as you started giggling at her reactions.
She decided to wash your hair too as her fingers were perfect in your scalp.
When you both finished washing your bodies you got out. Deciding to do the rest of your routine in your cabin you dried yourself off and wrapping yourself with the same towel.
About to put on your pajama shirt, she stopped you.
“Wear mine instead.” She told you handing you her own 90’s band shirt.
“Thanks babe.”You said to her smiling at her.
She knew you called everyone that nickname but it still did something to her. Twisting her mind into thinking you are still hers.
Holding your hand with a light pink tint blush on her face she walked you back to your cabin.
When you finally got there she wrapped her arms around you in a tight hug. Even though she didnt want to let go, she finally did and sent you a small smile as she walked away.
In the silence of the night you smiled thinking about everything . Your best friend Clarisse, your own cabin, and your perfect crush; Luke.
In the silence of the night, it was interrupted. A boy was rushed to camp in the stormy night.
Asking people around you figured out what happened. A new kid killed a minatar.
And this was just the beginning of a stronger obsession with you.

Six becomes Five
Prologue | Part 2
Tumblr media
As his head busted through the rift, his grin wide, Shadow Milk Cookie had never felt so alive. The world that he'd been refused and trapped from for so many years was now his once more.
Gazing down at the Cookies below, his grin stretched wider than ever. Oh, an audience!
"I am SO terribly sorry to have kept you waiting!!! Your favorite trickster is here!" He cackled, voice ringing through the air. The dark power of the void behind him swirling.
His eyes scan over the group once more, and then he spotted a Cookie he'd so desperately longed to see.
You, oh you. You looked as amazing as the day he lost you. So much had changed about you, but as his eyes landed on the Soul Jam resting on your neck, shining brilliantly in his presence, he knew it was you.
"Shadow Milk Cookie.." You muttered his name, and his heart leaped with joy. You remembered him, oh that was wonderful!
His Soul Jam shined in tandem with yours, pulsing with familiarity. Despite everything, the familiar magics wanted nothing more than to reach out and mingle once more. You and Shadow Milk Cookie had always been the closest, after all.
He was your favorite trickster, after all!
"Wait, you know this Cookie?" One of the smaller Cookies asked you, his eyes wide. "Is that why you didn't want to come here, Reader Cookie?"
...Reader Cookie?
Reader Cookie?
Reader Cookie?!
"READER COOKIE?!" Shadow Milk Cookie bellowed, rage filling him. Slamming his hands against the bark of the silver tree, he began to push himself further out. "THEY MADE YOU CHANGE YOUR NAME?! THEM MAKING YOU TURN ON US WASN'T ENOUGH?!"
You shuddered, taking a stance in front of the others. You spread your arms as you narrowed your eyes up at him. "I never turned on you! You let power and greed consume you, Shadow Milk Cookie!"
"NO!" His hands slam against the bark of the tree once more, and he began to push his body out more and more. His grin was still wide, but it was now manic and strained. "THEY TURNED YOU AGAINST US! I KNOW THEY DID!"
"Reader Cookie-"
"SPARKLING JOY COOKIE IS THEIR NAME!! SPARKLING JOY COOKIE!!!"
Elder Faeire Cookie hesitated before continuing. "Do you know this Beast?"
You merely continued to watch Shadow Milk Cookie force his way out of the tree. ".. I used to."
"He was a friend, once."
Just as you finished your sentence, Shadow Milk Cookie forced himself out of the tree, and the void behind the seal shrieked and cackled. Monstrous eyes glared and glowed, the same blue that was your former friend.
As he looked down at you all, he raised his hands. "Finally, freedom! Free to put on my shows, my acts, my performances!"
Without a second thought, a familiar scepter formed in your hand, and you pointed it towards the Beast. "Behind me."
Mercurial Knight Cookie merely brandished his spear, hovering beside you. "You will not battle him alone."
You faltered briefly, and in the knight's place, for a moment, you saw Burning Spice Cookie. Shaking your head, you looked back up towards Shadow Milk Cookie as he and his monsters lunged.
Without a second thought, magic swirled around your form, and you were your former giant size once more. You lurched forward, and your former's friend's hands latched unto your scepter. Both of you grit your teeth, magic beginning spark wildly.
Dark blue magic, like the ocean and dark night skies, mixed with your constant changing and radiant magic. The majority of the sparks clashed and shot against each other, while a few stray ones intermingled, desperate to feel familiarity once more.
"What.. are you.. doing?!" Shadow Milk Cookie asked, voice straining. "Don't tell me they.. still have you under control!?"
"There was never.. any control to begin with!" You snarled, pushing back against him.
"Reader Cookie!" Pure Vanilla Cookie cried up to you. "What are you doing?!"
"Buying you.. time!" You grunted. With a rough shove and some magic help, you shoved Shadow Magic Cookie against the tree. "Now go!"
"But-!"
"GO!" You commanded, voice echoing with your magic.
The group had no choice but to follow the order, with Pure Vanilla Cookie sending a mournful look your way before following. The shadowy monsters following after them.
You huffed, backing away from Shadow Milk Cookie. He looked at you, eyes narrow. "I'll help you remember. I'll make you realize all the good that'll come from this, Sparkling Joy Cookie."
You pointed your scepter at him. "Let's see how long those delusions last, Shadow Milk Cookie."

yandere zoro headcanons
male reader of course <3 also this is actually a very soft yandere zoro, nothing super duper hardcore...i think

yandere ! zoro . . . just expects you to know that he likes you. it's so annoying. he does the bare minimum and genuinely thinks that's enough for you to know. he's held the door open for you one time and equated that to a love confession. because he's not gonna ever blatantly confess to you, so he does these other minuscule things to get your attention and make it "known" that he likes you.
yandere ! zoro . . . will be at your beck and call. he will do whatever you ask of him. he'll act like its annoying, but he is more than happy to do whatever you ask him. it's undeniably a really sweet gesture that he does, but sometimes he gets really pushy and aggressive with it. the reason why is because he wants you to completely rely on him, even for your own basic needs. he wants to be doing everything for you for the power-trip and control it gives him.
"give it to me," zoro gruffly said, taking the bags from your arms. you were more than capable in carrying the groceries, but zoro took them off your hands. he knew you could handle them, but he felt the need to aid you.
"i am more than capabl-"
"shut up, i'm doing you a favor," zoro rejected your want to carry the bags, shaking his head.
"fine, thanks, zoro." a flash of your gentle smile was enough to send him into a flustered, crimson red blushing state.
yandere ! zoro . . . kind of going hand in hand with ^ that one, zoro would easily kill for you. the amount of dead bodies you'd be responsible for would be uncountable. every single man or woman thats hit on you has - unknowing to you - have been murdered by zoro. he doesn't take people trying to take you away from him lightly. to him its serious enough he needs to take their life. and he has and he will continue to.
yandere ! zoro . . . is very pushy on affections. it may sound out of character, but zoro never thought he'd get lucky enough to find someone like you. so now he's found you, he's gonna be selfish about, as far as he can go.
zoro had a nasty habit of physically taking you away from conversations. it would be out of nowhere - when you're just playing games with chopper and then you're suddenly being thrown over zoro's shoulder. you could try fighting against him all you want, but he easily overpowers you.
and when you're finally dropped onto the crow's nests floor, you berate him, "what's your issue?! chopper and i were talking you know!"
"i know," zoro says, not bothered one bit by your shouting.
"so?" you say expectingly, not enjoying how nonchalant he was being about the whole situation.
"if you're my boyfriend, don't i have the right to spend time with you?"
"i can still have friends though,"
zoro yawned, taking you into his lap and trapping you in hie arms, "come on, let's just sleep. we don't have to keep talking about stupid shit like this,"
"you can't just-"
a hand on the back of your head made you crash into his chest and effectively shut you up, his chest silencing you as you were smothered (suffocated) in it.
yandere ! zoro . . . has two sides of his personality - one he uses with you, and only with you, and then the side he shows everyone else. he never speaks as softly as he does with you as he does with other people. he's hyper aware that he looks intimidating to others, but he goes out of his way to be softer with you. it's sweet, honestly, but it's terrifying to see it happen in real time.
zoro had an arm drapped around your shoulder, simply following in whatever direction you took him to. whenever he saw something that he'd think you'd like, he pointed it out to you with a hidden smile.
"wait, look, do you like it?" zoro gently asked, picking up the ring and examining it in the natural light, "i can get it for you, if you want?"
"but it's pretty expensive-"
"don't worry about it, i can afford it," zoro shrugged, enjoying the way your eyes brightened. if only he could keep that for himself completely, hide you away from the rest of the world.
the two of them walked up to the vendor. zoro's soft smile was wiped away in an instant, looking gruff and annoyed at the man, "this one."
"what a lovely ring, you two are-"
"could you just hurry up? our crew might leave without us," zoro lied, already so annoyed with the innocent man who was just doing his job. you slapped him on the chest, shooting him a look.
seeing the disappointed expression on your face, he faltered in his glare a little bit. and an embarassed blush came onto his face, looking to the side and forcing himself to not glare at the vendor.
the man looked grateful for your intervention, quickly taking the exchange of beri and handing you the ring. a quick thank you left your lips before you walked out of there, zoro in tow.
"you're such an asshole," you murmured in annoyance, shrugging off his arm from your shoulder.
"babe, c'mon, don't-" but he shut up immediately when he saw the look you shot him, a warning look. it worked and he kept quiet the rest of the walk to sunny.
he practically grovelled for forgiveness the rest of the night, only gaining it back when he gently put the ring around your finger and peppered kisses on your face.
yandere ! zoro . . . is really only nice and doting to you - he doesn't give a shit about anyone else but you and makes it known. it earns him a scolding but he needs you to know that everyone that isn't you doesn't even cross his mind. you're the only person he thinks about and will continue to think about - everyone else isn't even worthy of being as important as you are in his head. you are the only thing he cares about, he devotes his entire strength in making it known he is at your disposal.

There are 3 stages in how the body responds to stress: the first of them being the alarmed stage. the central nervous system is awakened, causing adrenaline to pump into the veins, forcing the body to secrete cortisol but some just like to call this fight or flight. Jungkook can feel the rush as he steps down the corridor, his fingers trembling against the Glock gripped inside his hand, his mouth and nose dripping crimson while his mind resides on the image of you, his legs dragging against the carpet underneath him.
the air turns dense around him and no matter how much he tries to breathe, there just isn’t  sufficient oxygen that can ease the pressure forming between his ribs. his fingers crawl to his neck to loosen the tie that remains pressed against his carotid artery but there isn’t a button he can pop, not a lace he can undue that can erase the image of you pointing a semi-automatic pistol to his head.
The red tie grips his throat, forming into a noose that asphyxiates him.
He couldn’t sense a gleamer of hesitation in your eyes, not a tremble in your voice as you stood in front of him, finger on the trigger ready to blow his brains out. the memory causes his skin to crawl, a nauseating feeling brewing in his abdomen as he struggles to catch his next breath.
Jungkook recognizes the uneasiness that has taken over his blood stream, the strain it causes on his brain. It had only ever happened once before, after his first murder. The memory arrives unwarranted and as his limbs grow limp with each step he takes, he now imagines himself on the floor, eyes staring empty into nothingness just like the first man he ever killed.
He is rotting inside, his darkest insecurities eating away at his decaying mind, and you hadn’t even pulled the trigger.
Jungkook throws himself against the wall, huffing as he wipes away at the beads of sweat that have formed on his forehead. He’s terrified, his skin running cold but his head burning hot as he tries to collect himself. His eyes sting from the lights above his head and no matter how much he tries to focus, everything around him becomes blurred. He has faced many enemies before, cruel and malicious. The kind of enemies that horror films are written of, blood thirsty and repugnant but they had never mustered to instill fear in him the way you have today.
Perhaps it’s because he has nothing, he can offer you in exchange for his life. after all its his life that you want to take.
You had been a ticking bomb, a disaster waiting to happen and there was nothing he had done to save himself all while he witnessed your hunger from far away, too consumed in his own ego to believe that you would be capable of doing any of this, too reassured in your weakness, quick to disregard your indignation. When he looked into your eyes now, he found emptiness, rid of all hope and desires, things that he himself had ripped away from you and he crumbles under the culpability. All the things he had tried to prevent becoming all the things he has caused.
Jungkook winces as his tongue trails over the swollen corner of his lip, blood pooling inside of his mouth with the bitter reminder of what has transpired and the worst part of all is that he can’t even blame you, couldn’t point a finger at the person whose caused him harm. not when he knows all of this is your retribution, not when he knows that he would’ve done the same. He has been defeated, humiliated and the only person he can point his gun at this time is himself.
panic pumps into him relentlessly and he can only open his mouth to scream, his voice ragged as he yells into the empty corridor, pouring his frustration into the 2 walls that reflect his screams back to him and yet it doesn’t suffice, it doesn’t remedy the pressure building inside of him. his mind can’t comprehend that he needs to surrender and instead he lets vexation takes its place. The feeling is unnerving, and it leaves him spent, the walls caving in on him as he stands there in desperation.
“Jungkook!” a voice calls inside of his mind, faint and distant and he shuts his eyes tightly, trying to bring himself out of the conflict raging in his mind and then he hears the voice once again, much closer this time, startling him out of his frenzied state. he snaps his eyes open and raises his gaze, his eyes meeting Taehyung’s as he races down the corridor. He lets out a heavy sigh, head pounding painfully whilst he wipes away at the blood that drips down his chin.
“Where the fuck have you been? Theres reporters everywhere!” Taehyung pants, stopping a few inches away from his disheveled friend, his frantic eyes scanning Jungkook’s troubled expression.
“Where's Y/n?” Taehyung asks, peering over Jungkook’s shoulder at the open door behind him but he’s met with silence.
Taehyung drags his eyes back to Jungkook finally noticing the blood on his white shirt and his glassy eyes that glow red under the dim lights. Jungkook can’t bring himself to respond, to admit that you were gone was to admit that he had lost. his chin quivers as he brushes past Taehyung, his movements slow as he tries to find his balance. Taehyung looks down at the gun in his hand, held so tightly it turns Jungkook’s knuckles white.
“Give it to me,” Taehyung sighs, stepping in front of Jungkook and wrapping his hand over it, causing Jungkook to jolt in response.
“Taehyung” Jungkook growls a warning, his eyes glaring into Taehyung with utter rage.
“I understand Jungkook '' Taehyung responds, the gravity of the situation weighing down on him as he realizes that you are gone and what that implicates. “But there’s also 50 cameras out there waiting to snap a picture of you leaving this building, this is not the right time for any of this.”
“Do you think I give a fuck about the tabloids right now? I COULD FUCKING CARE LESS”
Jungkook’s voice causes Taehyung to step back, his stare faltering as he lowers his head in submission. Taehyung knows Jungkook to be a patient man, the rational one of the lots but he has also borne witness to the mess he can make when he is tested, of emotions that have been contained inside unleashing in the most vile ways.
Taehyung watches as Jungkook stumbles away, his steps uncoordinated and he knows he’s not in the right mental space, it’s painful to witness and he grimaces at the sight.
“Your father is looking for you” Taehyung calls out, his last attempt of snapping Jungkook out of the state he’s currently in and Jungkook stops, his steps pausing as he slowly turns to look at Taehyung. he sighs deeply and releases the grip on the gun, his eyes fluttering closed at the reminder.
He hadn’t even thought about his father, of the way he must be coming apart at the ignominy you have put him through. Unlike Jungkook, his father is far too proud to blame himself for his faults, for the role he’s played in his own downfall and now there was no reputation that held him back, this version of his father would be someone Jungkook has never faced before.
He lays the gun in Taehyung’s hand and walks past him, taking constricted steps as he heads to see his father. His stomach turns with anticipation, he was no stranger to his father’s wrath, the manner in which he assured that everyone could feel his grievances. Too many times he had been at the receiving end of it, starved for saying the wrong things, cane slammed on his back repeatedly when he did something that his father disapproved of. He would like to say he was stronger now, but his skin still held the scars, his brain conditioned to the assaults.
Tumblr media
“Thank you” Jungkook mutters on the phone, his expression withdrawn as he ends the call and slips the phone back into the pocket of his suit. He runs his hand through his hair, an exhausted sigh escaping his lips, indication of his drained mind.
Taehyung glances over at him and then lowers his head to the cameras that flash outside of the car windows from the reporters who have remained, seeking answers that neither Jungkook nor Taehyung have. By tonight their faces will be plastered in every media outlet, each one of them jumping to their own conclusion of what kind of people they are but Jungkook can't even begin to concern himself with that matter, his mind preoccupied with the topic of you.
“She's not home, is she?” Taehyung asks but going off the expression Jungkook wears on his face, that of defeat and utter weariness, he concludes his answer.
“I didn't expect her to be” Jungkook hums, eyes concentrating on the lights of the city as the car pulls away from the media frenzy outside. Jungkook can't help blaming himself for the events that have transpired because ultimately there’s no one else he can, he had his reasons even if he's never felt compelled to share them with anyone else but not even those justifications can mend what has been done.
Taehyung sighs, studying his friend who sits slumped in the car and he expects Jungkook to react. Anticipating a fit of rage. a shout, a punch, something to release the torment that he knows ripples through him, but it never comes, and that in itself scares Taehyung far more.
“Are you going to go find her?”  he follows up and in another time the answer would be clear for Jungkook, he has never been shy regarding his need to track you down, always determined to find a way to see you. yet, he knows he's caused irreversible damage with his intentions.
this time he feels no desire to be intrusive.
In his delusion of protection, he had drifted you apart, pushing you to form into the very person he wanted to prevent you from becoming and looking into the eyes of the girl that he yearned to save from the world  all whilst shredding her to pieces never left his mind at ease, looking into the eyes of the girl he dreamed of in his darkest hours while she held him at gunpoint didn't either.
Even if you didn’t remember, the both of you had known each other for a long time now, before the wedding and theatrics, before the parties and the thrills, he could never forget the first time he laid eyes on you. you were pure, sunlight beaming amidst that immorality that entrapped him, you stood out above all the things cruel and vicious, and he had sworn you would be his in every kind of way.
It just never occurred to him that it would be like this.
“Do you love her?” Taehyung continues and Jungkook glances down at his blood-stained shirt, traces of the sentiment you had of him. He’s not sure if that is the correct word to describe how he feels about you. all he knows is that his skin tenses when he’s around you, sometimes forgetting how to breathe when he sees you enter a room, your scent being the only thing he can remember for days after. It wasn’t in his intentions for things to get so out of hand, but when it comes to you he loses all rationale, his impulsions turning out to be his worst enemy.
He hadn't seen you in years when he heard you would be married off to the Greco family over a year ago, a vile and ruthless family. he had wanted to say it came as a surprise but your father being the notorious money hungry bastard he had come to know, would sell you off to anyone if money was on the table and Jungkook wasn’t shocked in the slightest either when word came around of the 80 billion won offered in exchange for your hand in marriage. It didn't matter if you loved that man or not, it didn't matter that you were smart and coveted, deserving of a man who could love you organically. To your father you were property, and he would sell you to the highest bidder.
And so that's what Jungkook became.
“I wouldn't know” Jungkook shrugs, looking away from Taehyung, an uneasy feeling settling inside of him. Jungkook rarely ever expressed himself, harboring his deepest emotions inside until they ripped at the seams, and it served no surprise that even now he couldn’t put a name to what he feels.
He just knows he needs you, in the sickest kind of way.
“I mean i wouldn't drop 98 billion won on someone i don't love but that’s me personally” Taehyung rebuts and sometimes Jungkook really hates how quick-witted Taehyung is, always speaking the truth, unable to read a room to save his life.
“And then fuck it up by avoiding her and cheating and all the other crazy shit you were doing.”
“I didn’t cheat” Jungkook clarifies, his jaw locking at the accusation.
“Huh?” Taehyung asks, brows furrowed as he stares Jungkook down.
“I know you must’ve probably hit your head pretty hard back there but I know you didn’t forget about Marisa in Ibiza, sunny in Tokyo, Nora from London” Taehyung pauses, noticing the way Jungkook squeezes his fists and avoids his eyes “I mean I can go on, the girls from the country club?.”
Taehyung doesn’t intend to make Jungkook feel worse about the situation, he’s probably gone through enough for one night, but Taehyung is aware that for some time his friend has lost touch with reason and due to his lack of thinking he’s set in motion a domino effect in which everyone will be trampled, including himself and He fails to conceal the irritation in his voice as he questions Jungkook.
“I fabricated those rumors” Jungkook mutters carelessly, foot taping anxiously as he counts down the minutes until he meets with his father.
“You what?” Taehyung can’t process what Jungkook has said and quite frankly he even considers taking him to a hospital, he wasn’t making any sense and that only further frustrates him. nothing about this had ever made sense to Taehyung. Looking back on the events that took place a year ago he’s unable to understand the turn Jungkook’s life had taken, one day he’s Jungkook son of a criminal tycoon and then the next he’s marrying a girl he’s never even met before.
It was as if he was watching a drama and he had lost the plot.
“I made it all up alright? I paid those girls to go around and say they had sex with me, that way I could have Y/n and distance her all at the same time” Jungkook’s heart pounds in his chest, fists held tight against his lap “ I married her so that she wouldn’t have to marry some sick bastard who would use her for parts and then throw her away like a piece of trash” Jungkook snaps, veins standing from his neck and his face beat red as he finally allows himself to express the insatiable bitterness inside of him.
“if I showed how much I cared, my father would only use her against me, hold it over my head, I know my father, I know the monster whose raised me.”
“You do understand how utterly insane that sounds right?” Taehyung asks, eyes widened as he tries to make sense of the entire situation.
The air falls silent and Taehyung fidgets with his fingers as his brain tumbles with questions and judgements he avoids passing out loud to avoid getting punched in the face and He wishes he had never asked anything to begin with. now he has more questions than answers, glancing over at his friend as if he was sitting next to a psychopath.
“ I purposely ignored her, I isolated her to those who would try to harm her as a means to harm me and I’d have her followed, ensuring she was always safe” Jungkook sighs, his heart feeling like a ton of bricks, he throws his head back recognizing that he has gone about everything the wrong way and he wants nothing more to turn back time if it could save you and him for the crossroads you both stand in now.
Yet, ultimately he concludes that it was his only choice either way.
“Was it the best decision? No, I know that now” Jungkook speaks with a remorse in his tone, pinching the bridge of his nose as the cars comes to a full stop Infront of his father’s estate.
“But she tried” he breaths, glancing over at Taehyung, despair in his eyes.
“she learned what I liked, she would wait for me at home with home-cooked meals and she would try to hold me, to show me warmth and though I wanted nothing more than to give in” Jungkook pauses, a frustrated sigh leaving his lips and he can’t find the words to explain the turmoil he’s being dealing with and he regrets even having attempted to.
“I made it all up” he repeats, teeth clawing at his bottom lip.
Taehyung releases the breath that he has been holding since the beginning of the conversation and he reaches to pat his friend on the shoulder, still not able to piece the trajectory of his friend’s explanation in his head but opting not to ask any further questions. Jungkook has never been the kind of man to open up and Taehyung doesn’t know how to deal with it, he can’t construct any words that would bring his friend ease.
“I think you should’ve told her the truth” Taehyung confesses what he has been thinking all this time.
“She wouldn’t have understood, she would’ve looked at me in the same way you do now” Jungkook points out and Taehyung looks away, like a child caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
“I just wanted to save her, to remove her out of the situation her family was putting her in.”
“You know I love you man but there’s no use in playing the victim, Y/n never asked you to do that and now, she hates you for it.” Taehyung states and though his words cause Jungkook dread he knows them to be true.
“i never intended to become her enemy” Jungkook whispers, reflecting over all the times he caused you pain under the guise of keeping you safe, thinking it’s what would be best for you.
“fuck, if you treated me like that you’d be my enemy too” Taehyung responds.
Tumblr media
Jungkook braces himself, hand lingering on the doorknob for a second too long before he feels the presence of Taehyung standing next to him, hand gripping his shoulder. He looks up at the wooden door, his mind racing with thoughts that can’t save him from the confrontation he is about to face. He can hear his father’s voice flowing past the walls, a threatened man who now seeks out someone to blame. He twists the doorknob in his hands and pushes the door open, remaining at the entrance with his eyes trained on the scene in front of him.
“You!” his father snaps his head, noticing his son who now stands there, eyes widened, and hands bloodied as his beaten assistant bows before him. Jungkook can feel the hair stand on the back of his neck, can feel himself shriveling back to the 12-year-old boy who hid behind his mother’s skirt when his father would come home under the influence of angered haze, reeking of death and cheap perfume.
His father is nefarious, a man that would stop at nothing to get what he wants and what causes Jungkook fear is not that he stands before him now, it’s the fact that now what his father wants the most is you.
“you good for nothing son of a bitch!” his voice makes the body guards that surround him flinch but Jungkook stands firm, stare unwavering as he witnesses yet another one of his father’s tantrum, his are steps slow and controlled as he walks inside, completely unphased. There's not a morsel of energy left in his body to care, to react to his father’s abuse.
Mr. Jeon has been humiliated, the mask in which he paraded himself in snatched right from his face, his worst crimes exposed for everyone to see and Jungkook struggles to fight of the urge to smile, even if his own mask has fallen too.
“Please leave us alone” Jungkook requests and he watches as his father’s assistance struggles to stand up, blood dripping from his face as he uses his hands and feet to rise from the ground. Jungkook’s eyes remain on him, a story he’s lived many times replaying in his mind as he waits for everyone to disappear through the door and then his father’s assistant bows, an apology falling from his mouth and Jungkook looks away, unable to see his own reflection any longer.
Jungkook has seen the extent of what the notion of loyalty will do to a person yet his withers with each minute he spends inside this room.
“were the fuck is she?!” his father’s voice slams into Jungkook’s stiff stance but he remains silent, head leaned to the side as he inspects the broken glass on his father’s hands, the  paintings ripped from the walls, and the books that remain scattered along the floor.
“Could you not keep Y/n tame?” Jungkook glares up at his father, his cold demeanor faltering as your name slips out of his mouth, It sounds perverse coming from him, enticing Jungkook to grow repulsed.
Jungkook doesn’t say a word while his father approaches him, fuming and foaming at the mouth. Yet, this no longer makes Jungkook flinch in the way it has in the past, he was standing his ground in a way he had never been able to before, now he had something else to protect besides himself, his father’s intimidation tactics would no longer serve their purpose.
“I knew I would regret picking you up from that bloodied floor, I should’ve let you watch your parents rot in front of you” Mr. Jeon screams with angered eyes, a clock ticking inside of Jungkook’s head the further his father continues to spew out venom, his eyes briefly fluttering shut as he lets it spread into his veins.
Then there’s that reminder, the reminder that that’s all Jungkook is to him, a deal gone wrong, both parents dead and an orphaned boy willing to find love wherever it was given but Jungkook did not know whose hand he would come to hold at the ripe of 6, didn’t know who he would have to stand next to for the rest of his life, bound to a man who murdered his parents for survival.
Mr. Jeon has turned Jungkook into his mere image, what he didn’t have in blood he had made up for it with the blood of others.
“Look at me boy” Mr. Jeon barks, gripping Jungkook’s face with so much force, his fingers turn white. Jungkook complies, heavy eyes looking into that of the man he had considered a father, of the man who he bowed down to even when his knees resisted.
“you look at me when I speak, You owe me your life, don’t you ever forget that” Mr. Jeon seethes, his hand rising in the air before it slams right across Jungkook’s face, imprinted on his cheek the only love his father can show, the only kind of love he thought that mattered before he met you.
“I only hit you because I love you.”
“I only hit you because I want you to be better.”
“I only hit you because you don’t listen.”
Jungkook turns his face, and he wishes that he can erase the pain in his eyes, wanting to prove his father no longer has control but instead he lowers his head, and he doesn’t protest out of gratitude for his life.
“I thought you were my son, but you are just another poor and filthy rat that I thought I could give home training to, it makes me sick” Mr. Jeon’s words cut deep but Jungkook does not budge, does not scream, hides under his disguise of carelessness in order demonstrate he’s the man that Mr. Jeon has raised.
“a year ago, you come to me begging for this girl’s hand in marriage and I give in because you are my child” Mr. Jeon’s eyes are stern, glaring into his son as if ready to tear him into pieces. “I offer 98 billion won for her and then she make a joke out of it?” Mr. Jeon’s eyes twist in disgust.
“At my fucking expense!” his voice crawls through the walls, echoes pouring out of the closed door and into the corridor in which Taehyung stands, eyes firmly set on the wall in front of him, hands tightened into fists.
“Have I not repaid my debt?” Jungkook finally snaps, a fuse burning inside of him as he allows himself to speak, his voice a mere whisper “Have I not tripled that since the day of my marriage?”
Mr. jeon chuckles coldly, his eyes narrowing on the man who now stands before him, no longer a wailing child yet someone he only views as an object of his own property, his eyes reflect disdain, his mouth going sour as he steps closer to Jungkook.
“There is nothing you can give to me that can repay what I’ve done for you” Mr. Jeon snarls and Jungkook can’t repress the way his stomach lurches as a response, a faint need to throw up forming inside of him. he’s a puppet, a slave and he almost chuckles for thinking he was ever anything else.
they stare at each other in silence, Jungkook feels the rage pooling in the pit of his stomach, the slap his father has delivered burning the skin on his cheek and he wishes that he could lurch forward and clasp his hands around his father’s throat, to release himself from the chains imposed on him from such an early age but he can’t bring himself to do anything else but to take, as he has always done.
Mr. Jeon can see the hate building inside Jungkook’s eyes, forming and spreading the longer they stand there and before his own eyes falter, he looks away and takes a step back.
“Fix this!” his father’s screams.
“Find her and bring her to me!” he commands and without another word, Jungkook turns. He will find you before his father can, he has caused all of this and now he must protect you at all costs, even if he must go against the very person who has kept him alive all these years. While you strategized wars against him, Jungkook would be reaching to defend you.
And this time he does not bow before his father.
Tumblr media
Jungkook brushes past the bodies pressed together on the dance floor, the weight on his waist reminding him of the gun he keeps strapped there for protection. He has just stepped into a lion’s den, a place far out of his territory with 6 of his men standing tall behind him as the fluorescent lights of the night club blind him. His feet move knowingly, following the path he has taken many times before but tonight he has another purpose for his visit, a itch that leads him blind.
Its probably not the best idea for him to be here, not while his brain struggles to form a coherent thought, but he’s grown illogical and no matter how much Taehyung tries to reason with him he can’t stop picturing you when he closes his eyes, growing exhausted with the thought of not having you within reach.
He’s concludes that he misses you, but Taehyung argues that he can’t miss something that has never belonged to him.
For the last 2 weeks he’s gone restless in the search for you, inquiring high and low for a trail he can follow and he’s never been the kind of man that takes no for an answer anyways, he doesn’t make habits out of losing. Its what has led him here tonight, regardless of the danger.
Jungkook hadn’t been himself since that night, letting his anger control his every decision, losing his sanity as he sat in the empty house you had abandoned, pondering over the fact that he no longer had you and he had made it everyone’s problem. There wasn’t a place that had witnessed your presence that would remain untorn, not a person he wouldn’t beat to a pulp for information on your whereabouts and though his tactics were questionable, there isn’t anything that can bring him back. his fixation alone fueling his exhausting search.
You took up all the spaces in his mind, crowding his senses with guilt and regret. There wasn’t even a corner for concern for his family’s company that had been suffering since your little presentation, shareholders retracting their support while their profits crumbled all while his father tried to repair his reputation with speeches filled with lies and deception, still trying to keep his position as governor.
Like a real politician.
He fills up with irritation as the music thumps into his ears, disrupting his train of thought that now hangs by a thread, thin and snapping lose with each night he spends awake. there’s nothing left of the calm and collected man that everyone has come to know. His resolve unwavering, his determination almost animalistic.
Jungkook’s steps halt Infront of the staircase and in his way stands a man with all black attire, arms folded over his chest as he eyes Jungkook and his men, he plays with the toothpick nestled between his teeth and leans his head slightly, eyebrow raised.
“I’m here to see your boss” Jungkook states, annoyance rolling from his tongue as he stares the man down.
“Do you have an appointment?” the man responds, inspecting Jungkook from head to toe with a smirk dancing on his lip. Jungkook leans his head back, rolling his neck as frustration begins to build inside of him, his hand slightly gracing his waist band, growing tired of the obstacle that stands in between him and the man he has come here to see.
“Do you know who you’re speaking to?” Taehyung barks over the music, the tension brewing between the group and the man who stands in their way. Taehyung takes a step closer, his own hand gripping the side of his suit jacket where his own gun resides.
“I’m well aware of who you are” the man speaks matter of factly, showcasing a smug smile on his lips.
Jungkook looks into the man’s eyes, rage flashing through them as he takes a step closer too. Patience hasn’t accompanied him in a long time and the ticking clock inside of his mind grows louder the longer this man tests him. Jungkook no longer sees an issue with causing a scene, does not see a problem with putting a bullet into the skull of someone’s son, his reputation is gone anyways and he’s very inclined to prove all those news articles right. He curls his fingers against the black metal pressed to his waist, already smelling the nitroglycerin in the air.
“Move or the next thing you will have an appointment to is the purgatory.”
if he was being honest, he’s been drooling at the thought of bringing his toy out to play since he entered the tacky night club and the thought of being able to use it causes him thrill. A small smile forms on Jungkook’s face, a predatory stare crawling through his eyes.
Tick
Tick
Tick
“Let him through” another man calls from above the stairs and the man in front of him chuckles confidently whilst removing the toothpick from his mouth and taking a step to the side. Jungkook’s eyes never leave him as he begins to climb the stairs and he almost feels disappointed as he pushes the gun back in its place.
Jungkook can feel the eyes of his men watching as he disappears through the corridor, all standing at attention, ready to attack if the order is given. his feet march forward, his eyes now fixed on the door at the end of the long corridor that becomes closer with each heavy step that he takes, the rage he harbors beginning to rise from his fingertips. He yanks at the doorknob and throws the door open, his eyes landing on his target.
“Jungkook!” Yoongi raises his head from the various documents on his desk and smiles wickedly “to what do I owe the pleasure?”
Jungkook does not return Yoongi’s excitement as he watches him from where he stands, his expression contorting with disgust. Yoongi remains seated, a grim smile remaining on his lips as he notices the glare in Jungkook’s eyes.
“Save me the fucking theatrics Yoongi, where the fuck is my wife?” Jungkook barks, heart pounding rapidly inside of his chest as adrenaline overpowers his every cell.
Yoongi tilts his head to the side, eyebrows furrowing as he studies Jungkook. He can perceive something has changed in him, a shift in his demeanor that he can’t quiet put his finger on and a sudden thrill takes over him as it clicks inside his mind. Yoongi rises from his seat, his steps slow and dragged as he stuffs his hands into his pockets and comes to stand Infront of Jungkook, toying with the man’s patience.
“wifeee” Yoongi sounds out, dragging the word out in his mouth, chuckling lowly as he taunts Jungkook. “You don’t struggle with that label like she does” he roams his eyes around the room, aware of the piercing glare that Jungkook provides him in exchange.
“interesting” he hums, lowering his head casually whilst his lips display a menacing smile.
“didn’t make you out to be a marriage counselor, Min” Jungkook retorts, rolling his eyes in vexation.
Yoongi laughs, throwing his head back in amusement as he leans against his desk.
“I also didn’t think your thirst for vengeance would lead you to prey on someone innocent” Jungkook adds, emphasizing the last word.
Yoongi scoffs, focusing his eyes back on Jungkook.
“Innocent?” Yoongi asks, his expression pooled with amusement “was your little 1 on 1 with Y/n not enough for you to stop disregarding her potential? It’s in her blood you know, She’s just as much a killer as you and I” Yoongi shrugs.
Jungkook tenses, his anger brewing stronger the longer Yoongi stares at him with merriment. Of course, that bastard would enjoy this, anything that would fulfil his desire to see Jungkook in shambles, even if it meant destroying everything in his path including you but Jungkook would never allow him to twist you in his venomous root, regardless of how entangled you already are.
“Y/n might be resilient but she’s not a killer, she doesn’t deserve to go down this path and you know that Min” Jungkook spits, his breaths heavy as his voice rises. This time Yoongi glares in his direction, growing bored of the way Jungkook plays the victim, his temper being strained as he stands straight and approaches him.
“You come here under the pretense of concern over someone who you’ve humiliated, broke down, and ignored and I’m the one to blame?” Yoongi raises his brows, surprise in his tone as he stands mere inches away.
Neither man backing down from the rigidity in the air.
“You Jeon’s and your audacity” Yoongi chuckles once again.
“don’t play those games with me Yoongi, I am not the man I used to be” Jungkook warns.
Jungkook doesn’t know what angers him the most, the way that Yoongi laughs in his face or the fact that his words are true, truths he isn’t willing to accept because after all he had his reasons, reasons he doesn’t feel like explaining to someone as beneath him as Yoongi.
“What are you really mad about?” Yoongi asks, his voice a mere whisper as he stares into Jungkook’s eyes without a flinch “that you no longer have control over Y/n or that you served her to me in a golden platter” he sneers.
Jungkook’s eyes widen; his whole-body trembling as he digests the insult. His restless mind races with ideas, imagining the way Yoongi has already poisoned you and then an image plays in his mind, one that causes him to lose his entire demeanor. He pictures Yoongi gliding his hands against your skin, his lips intruding in places that Jungkook has only ever wished to. before he can think about his next move, his fist flies in the air, punching Yoongi in the face with so much force his adversaries body stumbles back, torso slamming against the desk behind him with a loud groan.
“You mention my wife again and ill rip your tongue out of your skull” Jungkook booms violently.
“If you want to come for me and my father for the purpose of whatever sick delusion you have that’s fine, I promise you I will come back at you tenfold, but you leave Y/n out of this, you hear me?”
Yoongi hisses, his fingers finding the edge of his mouth as blood pours down from it, he shoots Jungkook a demonic scowl, quickly standing from his slumped position.
“My alliance is with Y/n and unlike you and your joke of a father, my loyalty will not waiver” Yoongi spits the blood from his mouth, his tongue tracing over the broken skin that Jungkook’s fist has caused “I would never throw her to be slaughtered like you have my father” Yoongi snarls.
Jungkook’s glare falters, recognizing something in Yoongi’s voice as he speaks of you, the way he becomes feral over the accusation he has thrown; over the possibility of putting you in danger. He’s offended, almost like he’s incapable but Jungkook blinks the thought away, he knows Yoongi better then that.
“But don’t get ahead of yourself Jeon what I have prepared for you and your family you will never recover from, and I won’t stop at a gun drawn to your head, they will have to glue you back together when I’m done with you” Yoongi declares.
“You promise?” Jungkook snaps back, tempting the monster that has resided within Yoongi for years since his father’s death.
Yoongi clenches his fist, stepping forward but before he can raise his hand to return the punch that has been delivered, the door flies open and his men pour into the room, guns drawn out as they circle around Jungkook, their fingers latched to the trigger, their eyes landing on the blood dripping down Yoongi’s chin.
“Everything okay boss? We heard some commotion.”
Jungkook tilts his head, counting the men that surround him and he prepares to take them out. his hand grips the gun at his side, swiftly pulling out it out from where it has waited patiently. He’s more than willing to use it, deciding the blood shed might help him release some of the conflict clamped in his mind. the need to destroy urging him to lock his own finger against the trigger. his brain strategizes over which damaged artery would cause the most damage.
tonight, he’s set on redecorating Yoongi’s office.
“Easy boys” Yoongi wipes away at the blood on his face, his eyes falling onto his palm as he inspects the dark red color against his pale skin.
“My visitor here was just leaving” Yoongi says, pulling out his handkerchief and pressing it against his lip.
Jungkook draws his attention back to Yoongi and Yoongi can see the void inside his eyes, the utter need to kill and destroy.
“Come on Min, let me play a little” Jungkook chuckles wickedly.
“don’t worry, there will be a time and a place” Yoongi promises, his own stare resolute and darkened.
“I will be back” Jungkook states, retreating from the room with his weapon tightly grasped in his hand.
“I don’t doubt that you will” Yoongi mutters, signaling for his men to lower their weapons. “Good luck on your search” he calls out, an angered smile forming on his face.
Jungkook storms down the corridor, fury burning through him as he makes his way back to the entrance. Blood pumping quickly through his veins as he holds tightly on the gun wedged in his palm and for a moment he wants to turn around and run back into that room and fill Yoongi with bullets, dark desires taking over him as he grows frustrated.
He’s leaving empty handed, far more disgruntled than he was when he first entered and with a newfound appetite for carnage, his thoughts retreat to what Yoongi had said. His mind flooding with images of you finding comfort in Yoongi in a way he never allowed you to in him, his selfishness expanding.
Taehyung stands by the door, his eyes scanning the room eerily until he spots Jungkook through the crowd, his eyes landing on the gun in his hand and a knot forms in his throat, concluding the worst.
“You didn’t do anything stupid did you?” is the first thing out of his mouth as Jungkook brushes past him and out of the door.
Taehyung follows behind, his men falling in line after him as he too exits the club. He looks back at the dancing bodies inside and its only when he doesn’t notice any sign of chaos that he breaths, his muscles relaxing as he watches Jungkook enter his car.
“nothing?” Taehyung sighs as he gets into the passenger seat, running his hands through his hair in frustration.
Jungkook yells, slamming his hands against the steering wheel in rage until his palms are sore and reddened, his heart pounding uncontrollably in his chest. he knows he’s losing and every particle of his pride is refraining from accepting it, he wont last another moment without knowing where you are, if you are safe. It is within his same habit of underestimating you that he finds no relief in his worry.
He slips his hand into his pocket, bringing out his phone and swiping through his contacts.
“What now?” Taehyung asks in annoyance, he has spent too many nights crawling the city for you and his mind is exhausted, he wants nothing more then to be a loyal friend to Jungkook but even his faith in him is being pulled thin.
Jungkook presses the phone to his ear, his hands trembling with each ring that rolls out of the speaker and he’s becoming agitated with the sound alone but as he goes to slam the phone against the dashboard the ringing stops.
“Hello?” there’s a groggy voice at the other end of the line and then Jungkook hears shuffling accompanied by heavy breathing.
“Hey” Jungkook responds, sitting up from his defeated position.
There's silence for a moment and then a long sigh fills Jungkook’s ears.
“Do you know what time it is?” the person grumbles.
“I wouldn’t bother you if it wasn’t important.”
“What do you want Jungkook.”
“That favor that you owe me” Jungkook pauses, eyes peering through his windshield as he glares at the neon sign in front of him, the lights flickering on and off.
“I’m ready to collect it, Seokjin.”

if i was your husband
word count: 1.4K content warnings: unhealthy relationship dynamics, some nonsexual touching of dubious consent, otherwise just 1400 words of yandere-typical obsession
characters included: childe
a/n: this is a repost (heavily edited in some parts, lightly edited in others)! and a sequel to this. you can read this as a standalone modern au oneshot, but it'll probably make more sense with the context of the previous one. also on ao3! next part here
Tumblr media
"you know," you say after a while of quiet between the two of you, staring vacantly at the tv playing some seasonal movie and leaning further into the couch. "my friends were saying you’d make a good husband."
out of the corner of your eye, you see him still.
"…really?"
something about the way he says it makes your stomach queasy.
you hum halfheartedly, still trying to pretend you’re more invested in the movie than the current conversation.
"what do you think, then?"
that gets you to turn to him. "huh?"
he’s looking directly at you, face propped up on his fist. the way his eyes, deep and all consuming, bore into yours makes you feel like you’re a sailor about to give in to the enthralling call of the ocean. "how do you think I’d do as your husband?"
"well…" you pause for a bit, eyes flicking back to the movie and staying there for a bit. he doesn’t move, staring directly at your face. your eyes inch to the opposite corner of the scren, a bit further away from him.
a few minutes pass by before you say anything again. "I mean, your cooking is great. and you like cleaning, and—" you start counting off other husbandly traits he has on your fingers. your hands are almost full by the time you’re done, which is also when you finally turn back to him. "so. yeah, I think you’d make for a good husband."
his stare is starting to get kind of unnerving.
you smile awkwardly, trying to ease the tense air. "…maybe that makes you more of a house husband, though?"
he doesn’t respond to your jest.
"you think so?"
instead, he sounds strikingly serious. he usually sounds light and lively, so his current inflection sounds eerie.
you don’t have time to think about it any more before he’s draping himself over you, his arms leaning onto the couch behind you and torso just barely not touching you. his eyes search your face for something, not missing the jolt at his sudden movement.
after an intense couple seconds of observing you, his face turns up into a wide, almost overexcited smile.
his head drops into the crook of your shoulder, arms wrapping themselves around your waist and pressing you even further into the couch. you hear him inhale loudly, then let out a content sigh as he presses his face further against you. he doesn’t mind the way you stiffen at the sudden sensation, or the way your arms remain rigidly at your sides.
"…what are you doing?"
"if I was your husband," he ignores your question, not moving. "I’d be the happiest man alive. no, forget that—I’d be the happiest person alive."
your mouth feels dry when he presses a light kiss against the exposed skin on your throat.
"I’d cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for you every day. I’d learn all your favourites and I’d pack you lunch every day." he takes another deep whiff. you’re sure you’re not imagining it this time. "I could pack you those cute themed lunch boxes, too. I’d get up early every morning to make sure I can finish everything in time."
his eyes open, his lashes brushing tenderly against your skin. "I’d wake you every day, and I’d hold you as we fall asleep every night. I’d take care of everything so you can always take it easy, and I’d make sure you’re always comfortable."
his breath is hot against your skin. "I’d make sure to tell you that I love you every day. the house would always be ready for your return, the sheets always fresh and your clothing always ironed."
he moves down, pressing his face against where your heart is. his ear lays flat against your chest. the look on his face is hard to describe, bordering on hypnotised. "I’d make sure you’re always happy. I’d take care of all the rent, and the utility bills, and food, and whatever else needs to be paid."
his eyes appear glazed over. "you could spend your days lounging around, doing nothing while I take care of you and pamper you. I could buy you whatever you want, whenever you want, for whatever reason you want. I’d do anything for you. nothing is off the table for you."
his grip tightens, pressing you further into him, as if he doesn’t want there to be an end to him and a beginning to you between the two of you.
"I’d make sure nobody could hurt you, of course. anyone who tries will sorely regret it." he says the words as if they come so naturally to him as his voice gets just a little bit more frantic. "I’ll take care of any and all of your problems. no matter what."
"if I couldn’t do that, I wouldn’t have the right to call myself your husband." he smiles up at you, tone suddenly cheerful. if it wasn’t for his previous words, his smile would seem innocently excited.
for all the months you’ve been living with ajax, you’ve never felt particularly threatened by him. he’s never made you think the rumours about him are true, never given you any reason to be scared or angry with him. he’s weird, and kind of pushy sometimes, and you’re never quite sure what he’s thinking of, but he’s never been scary.
you’re not sure you agree with that anymore.
with bated breath, you watch as he takes one of your stiff hands gently into his own and presses it against his cheek. it feels uncomfortably warm against your skin.
"I’d be the best husband you could have. you’d always be happy with me, I promise. I swear it on my life. I’ll never let you down."
his expression remains equally love-struck and intense no matter what he says, like he’s barely managing to contain his devotion, but there’s a hint of desperation behind them the more he goes on.
"if I was your husband…"
he pauses, dark pools of blue staring into your eyes intensely.
"your grace," he suddenly drops to his knees in front of you, keeping his hold on your hand but moving to hold it in front of him gingerly. "would you marry me?"
he doesn’t give you time to answer, instead pressing his face against your knee. his gaze doesn’t waver. "I know I’m getting ahead of myself, that I could never deserve you, that we’re still so young, but… now that I’ve had a taste of being around the real you, I’m not sure I could ever let that feeling go."
his eyelids close and he lays his head on your lap. "I don’t know what I’d do if I ever lost your favour. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I drove you away."
the movie is still playing in the background. your fingers feel cold.
"but I can’t help myself." his eyes open again and stare at you again, deeper than any lake could ever be. "I love you."
he presses himself further against you, arms wrapping around your calves delicately.
"I love all of you. I love you when you’re happy and I love you when you’re sad. I love every single part of you." he starts rubbing his cheek against your legs. "whenever you come back home tired or downcast, I want to go out and destroy whatever is causing you grief. I’d overthrow the entire world for you if it’d please you."
the way he talks about you as if you’re some sort of divine being is makes your head spin.
"actually…" the flush on his cheeks accentuates, the warmth of his face tangible even against your clothed leg. "wouldn’t that be nice? you could be the divine ruler and I’d be your personal knight, the strongest and most loyal in the entire world…"
the tone in his voice is overeager, though his words remind you more of a fairy tale story disconnected from reality than like something he really means. "it wouldn’t even be hard, nobody here has visions and no matter what they say, anyone with one has an innate advantage over those who don’t. and should that fail, I’ll always have…" the rest is mumbled against your legs and unintelligible.
after a couple more seconds, he sighs, almost wistfully. "but this world has those pesky nuclear weapons instead, so I’ll settle for being your husband instead."
one of his hands reaches out and intertwines with yours again. he squeezes it tenderly.
"I love you."
his eyes bore into yours even as he presses a reverent kiss to the back of your hand.
"if you find me suitable…" the expression on his face can only be described as lovesick. "please marry me."

Our Little Love part six - OT7 Mafia/Yandere au
Tumblr media
Warnings - 3.6k words of : Toxic yandere men, sub drop, crime, violence, injury, emotionally abusive behaviour, possessive behaviour, lying and manipulation, monopolising, unhealthy relationships, aftercare ish, love bombing?, Namjoon's dark side is coming out but internally (because we can read his mind but MC can't)
It’s a sting or an ache that rouses you awake, coming from your bruised wrist. You let out a soft gasp of pain, lifting your head to see Yoongi carefully applying cream to the dents the ropes had burned into your perfect skin.
“Hoseok and his stupid games,” he mutters, full focus on making sure he’s soothing the marks of their punishment, like if the evidence of them went away so would the sadness they inflicted on you as well. It was a stupid naive thought, Yoongi knew it, but your presence in his life filled him with that silly feeling of hope.
He gently rests your wrist on the bed, searching for the next limb before he notices your eyes on him. They’re blank he notices, void of anything, fuck, they really did a number on you. He couldn’t swallow down the lump of regret lodged in his throat, no he would suffocate on it until you recovered.
You feel the bed dip beside your head, but it doesn’t pull your gaze away from Yoongi as he pulls your other wrist cautiously away from where you held it against your chest. You feel fingers in your hair, the urge to nuzzle against them almost overwhelming but the memories of their harsh words keeps you still.
“Heaven,” Taehyung's deep voice murmurs loud enough for you to hear as he plays with the strands. “Does it hurt?”
At his words you feel something pierce your middle, a pain that lay dormant until it was called out. A part of him means the sting of Yoongi’s ministriations, another part of him means the hole they carved out of your chest. At first it might seem sadistic, but he needed you to feel it, if you felt empty it would be harder to coax you back, the hurt meant you were still alive, still with them, and not an empty shell they were terrified they pushed you to be.
He would take your anger, your betrayal, your sadness over the void you presented to them now. Yoongi moves you carefully from your fetal position on the bed, so you’re lying on your back, your eyes meet Taehyung’s as he peers down at you. The position has an itch of anxiety building under your skin, it's too familiar to your punishment even if you aren’t as physically as exposed, but the burn in your extremities from those ropes lulled your brain into believing it was about to happen again.
You see the frown in his brows as he watches your chest lift and fall too deeply, the look in your eyes like a caged animal looking for a chance to run. It’s when Yoongi takes hold of your ankle you pull away with a small whimper. Both men look at each other for a moment as you swallow down the rising panic.
“Little love,” Yoongi says, being as reassuring as he can, “I’m not trying to hurt you.”
You inhale like your soul slammed its way back to your body, the corners of your eyes watering.
“Liar,” you barely manage to whisper, but it's loud enough that it cuts him. He deserved that. The anxiety in your limbs creeps into your chest, seizing your lungs until you’re unable to take a breath.
The hand in your hair moves to cup your face, his body lying beside you, your hand is on his chest, your insides fighting with the urge to push him away or clutch his shirt and pull him closer.
“Y/n you need to breathe,” Tae instructs against your hair soothingly, taking your hand on his chest in his. The other palm turns your head so you face him, his thumb stroking circles on your cheek. “Breathe with me.”
You want to tell him you can’t, but you try to follow his example, earning yourself a small smile on his face, the hum of danger dampening. You lose yourself to Tae as you both lie together, feeling yourself calm before sleep takes you again. The last thing you feel is soft lips on your temple, but you’re too exhausted to register it.
“How is she doing?” Jin asks Yoongi as he washes his hands, breaking his despondent stare at nothing.
He just nods in reply, avoiding eye contact. There were only a few times that Yoongi ever felt himself be moved to tears, but the state you were in now shoved him on the brink of a breakdown. And the worst part of it all was that they were responsible. Aftercare, especially after one of Hoseok’s sessions, was vital and they all knew it and yet because they were caught up in their own emotions they let you drop.
“That bad huh,” Jin laughs humorlessly under his breath, leaning against the door frame as he contemplates his own shortcomings. “Namjoon wasn’t lying when he told her we were the scum of the earth.”
He hangs his head back, looking up at the ceiling as if it would hold all the answers or at least grant him the ability to rewind time back to when you first woke up.
“We weren’t supposed to be scum to her,” Yoongi muttered, turning off the water that scalded his hands red, the pain was good, it felt like he was paying for his mistakes, although it was a small compensation to what he would have to pay. “The rest of the world doesn’t matter, to Y/n we were supposed to be worthy of her.”
“But we’re not,” Jin replies quietly.
“We didn’t have to prove it,” he bites back, feeling resentment towards Namjoon for bringing it up at all. He understood the need to be accepted, raging red flags and all, but to you they were supposed to be better, you were supposed to be the exception.
“What if she never forgives us,” he whispers his fears to the oldest of them, that tight invisible grip around his throat still present.
Jin can’t even bring himself to placate him, he can’t, he has the same fears.
Jimin’s tears crumbled their already broken hearts, but when Jungkook joined in it made them feel a despair they hadn’t felt since the day you left them.
“It’s going to be fine,” Namjoon says through gritted teeth, unsure of who he was trying to convince when a small voice in the back of his head was calling him a liar. If he could he would shoot the voice dead. “Our relationship isn’t that weak.”
Hoseok watches their leader massage his eyes as though a headache was starting.
“You need to go see her,” Yoongi says to Namjoon, arms folded, voice empty of emotion. Their fearless head of the crime syndicate had yet to visit you since the fight in the bathroom, Yoongi knew he would eat his words once he did.
“How are we going to fix this?” Hosek groans, patting Jimin’s head as he cried. The maknae was attached to Jimin’s back, both of them on the floor as they sobbed.
Taehyung had refused to leave your side, the others went in and out but Tae was afraid if he left you you would find a way to escape again, and he couldn’t live through that a second time.
“We broke her by exposing her,” Namjoon mumbles mostly to himself, thinking out loud, biting the skin of his thumb uncharacteristically nervous. “Made her feel like it was something bad…” made her pull away from us because we didn’t make her feel safe and let her drop. “Need to rebuild trust in the same way,” need to make her feel loved, “reassure her,” hold her but keep her vulnerable so she doesn’t build back up with walls against us.
His brain works fast, now that the Suho problem was dealt with, he could focus on you until the repercussions of the Captain came. He wasn’t stupid, he knew there would be some sort of retaliation, the Captain didn’t seem the sort to let things go.
“No more games,” Yoongi breaks his train of thoughts, eyes boring into him before looking at Hoseok too. “No more punishments, she never deserved any of them we were just sadistic fucks looking for an outlet for our own insecurity.”
Namjoon’s fist clenches, unhappy with the tone his usually stoic friend takes, even if his words held some truth.
“A whole world at our disposal to kick down and we take it out on our little love,” Yoongi scoffs, chuckling in disgust with himself and the others. “We really are scum of the Earth.”
The Captain doesn’t find the ceiling all that interesting, but it’s all he can stare at alone in the hospital wing. He’s not alone in the sense of physically, the hospital staff mill around working on the ward, he’s merely separated by curtains from the other patients, but the noise around him felt like a hum, a buzz in the background. The only visitor he had was the Chief of police telling him to stand down about the syndicate task force and then offering (ordering) him half a years paid leave.
“Take the time off,” he had said. “Recover,” he patted Suho’s shoulder before muttering, “it’ll do you some good.”
But the captain could see the truth in the Chief’s eyes, a hidden variable that was making him speak through the shadows. Kim Namjoon got to the police, he had his strings attached to every officer like they were his puppets. He only needed the top brass, they would create order and command for him. He wondered what he had on them all, how deep the corruption ran.
It seemed he was cut at the knees in more ways than one, the leader of the crime syndicate really drove that message home. He laughs at himself humourlessly despite the lack of anything funny in sight. One of the nurses giving him a judgmental side eye, wondering to herself whether they gave him too much morphine.
Suho could still feel the pain tearing through his knee and his hand, albeit dulled by the drugs in his system. The bullet had been lodged into his bone, it required surgery to be pulled out, surgery that was paid for by an anonymous benefactor. The thought of who he suspected as that person made him want to beg to put the bullet back.
Powerless wasn’t a feeling he was all that common with, even in his darkest days on the force he always felt hope, knew he would see the Sun rise another day. But Kim Namjoon had a way of drowning the Sun, and all her rays of hope. He could only pray that by some miracle, he could pull you out of the waters before your light washed out.
The scene when you open your eyes is eerily similar to the one before your world flipped upside down, a part of you wanted to believe the hands of time had turned back or at least you woke up in an alternative universe where the fight never happened, but the memories burned through your mind too clearly for anything else to be true. All seven of your walking talking red flags were posted around you in the room, eyes on you albeit much softer than that day, yet for some reason it puts you on edge.
“Heaven,” Jimin sits on his knees on the bed peering down at you, you notice the telling red rims around his eyes and his nose, was he crying? Why? He tries to cover it with a smile, his eyes disappearing into crescent moons but he couldn’t hide the evidence from you, you knew him too well.
He takes your hand in his, bringing it to his lips before he mumbles desperately against your skin, his voice breaking, “forgive us.”
Tentatively, as if afraid you were going to break or run away, two arms wrap around your middle, the maknae lying beside you burying his head into you but you can hear the tell tale sniffles. It was rare any of them ever cried, you really must look like a state.
Your head throbs from the continuous cycles of sleep you were putting yourself through, sleep was safe and you were too exhausted to live, let alone deal with the repercussions of your relationship.
“Jungkook, you’re smothering our dove,” Hoseok sighs, arms folded as he keeps his distance. He wouldn’t say it aloud but since he and Namjoon were the directors of your punishment and subsequently the push into subdrop he was afraid of approaching you.
It wasn’t just your rejection that would break his heart, but if his presence caused a reaction of trauma, more than what you were presenting now, it would crumble him. It took everything in his will power not to fall to his knees and beg you to forgive them, and the man had never begged anyone for anything before.
Even Namjon kept himself an arm length away, sitting on the ottoman at the end of your bed, watching you as the others interacted. Soekjin had stood beside you, his fingers massaging your forehead as if he could sense the pain, but your eyes find Namjoon.
“Did you hurt him?” It was the first time you had seen him and the first words out of your mouth were about that cockroach. He can feel his anger begin to simmer dangerously, his jaw clenches before he releases a self deprecating laugh under his breath. This was cruel even for you, was it a test? Why didn’t you ask him whether he killed him, that he could answer truthfully, the details were a little more complicated.
“We didn’t kill him,” Hoseok says, his mind flashing back to standing on the roof of the opposite building holding the sniper as it took out the Captain’s leg.
“That’s not what I asked,” you whisper, eyes starting to water again.
Namjoon glances at Yoongi’s warning stare, the thoughts written clearly on his stone face, enough of proving to you how evil they truly were, the truth didn’t matter, only you did. But yet there was something inside of him urging him to tell you, a sadistic part of him that wanted to break the already cracked dusty rose tinted glasses. Was it so bad of him to want you to love the darkest parts of him? Couldn’t you hear his soul cry out for you to love him despite how bloodstained it was?
“No we didn’t hurt him Love,” he sighs, hanging his head so he wouldn’t have to meet your gaze, his fist clenching the material of his trousers. The lie tasted like coal in his mouth, but he would swallow it down even if it upset his stomach.
You let out a sound of relief, the weight on your shoulders suddenly disappeared and you could breathe freely again. They actually saw you smile, and the guilt only cemented.
“Thank you,” you exhale, the feeling of love you were holding back against them now allowed to roam back into your body. There was hope, there was a chance to heal your relationship; they listened to you despite their murderous intent, you were relieved. You were so worried they would kill him anyway despite your plea not to, but this was proof they were willing to work on themselves with you, that you meant something to them more than being their toy.
You close your eyes, feeling overwhelmed. Jimin wipes away your tears, you hadn’t even realised had slipped from the corner of your eyes.
“Our baby’s so caring,” Jin comments, trying to keep the bite out of his voice and eyes. Your gaze falls on him and he smiles, it’s the most fake thing he’s ever done in front of you but you’d believe it. Seokjin was a mastermind at manipulation, to the point he could paint whatever he wanted on his face regardless of his emotions. Namjoon had debriefed them before you woke up, the objective was to do what they did best, monopolise you back under their spell.
It throws you, the gentle expression on his face, maybe you did wake up in an alternate reality. Jungkook distracts you, pulling you closer against him, his lips on your shoulder, making his way up your neck and cheek slowly. You turn to face him, eyes in a daze, that sweet bunny smile greeting you shyly but your attention is pulled away by another.
The back of Taehyung’s fingers trace your cheek gently, another smile greeting you when you turn to him on the other side of you, finding him kneeling on the floor beside the bed. He takes notice of your glazed stare, the slow confusion on your face.
“Aren’t you the cutest little love to ever exist,” he coos quietly.
“Our only little love,” Yoongi corrects him.
“Our slice of heaven,” Jimin pipes in.
“The only heaven we’ll ever see,” Namjoon’s deep voice gruffs.
That overwhelming feeling only grew, but it didn’t feel unwanted, you felt cushioned, like you were being lifted or floating on a cloud. Gentle touches, soft words, soothing your soul quiet, letting it rest. But you were unaware a part of you was being buried.
“Our perfect Angel,” Namjoon whispered and for some reason it felt like the final nail in the coffin making you snap back to your senses.
“No,” you sit up to face him, breaking away all the physical touch they had on you. The safe space they had lulled you into with all your defences bare had shattered. “You can’t expect me to accept you for all your flaws if you won’t do the same for me.”
There’s a fight in your eyes that comes alive as you stare him down, but he keeps quiet letting you fill the silence.
“I am not perfect, YOU need to stop pretending I am,” you throw his words back at him, he fucked you with those words and made you accept their cruelty, he would have to offer you the same respite. “I am done with trying to live up to this impossible image you have of me, because every time I break the illusion I can see the disappointment in your faces and it kills me every time.”
“Little love, you are perfect,” Jin sighs, moving to sit in front of you to break the staring match between you and Joon. “All those things you think are flaws are perfect Love, they’re a part of you, of course they’re perfect.”
His thumb strokes your cheek soothingly, trying to will away the fire when it threatened to burn everything they had spent rebuilding in this room with your recovery.
“If we made you feel anything other than perfect dove that’s our fault,” Hoseok admits, “but you already know how bad we are, it’s always our fault, don’t let us fool you otherwise.”
“You don’t get it,” you frown, looking down at your lap. “When you love me like that, it's a burden.”
“Love,” Yoongi calls for you, desperation in his voice, hating that you felt that way at all. “That’s not our intention.”
“Baby,” Jungkook sits up beside you, and you start to feel confined, their bodies like iron bars of a jail, keeping you with them for a life sentence you were beginning to think you deserved. “We love you, we made a mistake, we know that, but our love for you isn’t bad.”
“It’s the one redeemable thing about us Heaven,” Taehyung adds, looking up at you even with your head hanging low, trying to meet your eyes.
You feel your eyes water, you just ached, wanting to be drowned in their love but protected from their consequences. Last time you took the coward's way out, you ran away, this time you needed to create distance, but still work on the problem without bias, without their love infecting you until you could heal them and yourself.
“I don’t know where to go from here,” you confess, holding back a sob. Your mind starting to win the war it raged against your heart and all it wanted.
Their solemn expressions snap to you, the panic in their eyes piercing you.
“What do you mean, little love?” Jimin says warningly, you sounded like you were wanting to end your relationship but you surely knew better than anyone that it was impossible. They wouldn’t let you go if you tried.
“I think we need to go on a break,” you state, your voice strained from the heavy feeling of wanting to cry in your throat.
“Absolutely not,” Hoseok shakes his head, nostrils flaring at the suggestion.
“I’m not asking,” you say firmly.
“You don’t get to make that decision little love,” Namjoon’s lips twitch as he stops himself from growling, how dare you even think it. “You’re ours.”
You both stare each other down, neither willing to compromise.
“I’m mine,” you felt in control again, you hadn’t felt this way for so long, like your soul belonged to you, you weren’t just floating in their desires, you were your own person.
“We won’t let you leave,” Namjoon retorted, not denying your statement.
“I didn’t say I wanted to leave,” you shake your head, looking at each of them before your gaze returns to the leader of the syndicate, a challenge present in both your stares. “But you don’t get to touch me, or fuck me, or play your games.”
Every one of your new rules hit them like a punch to the gut, a cruel mocking thought passing through the air between them, this was the consequences of their fuck up, and they knew if they wanted to keep you, they would have to listen.
“One last thing,” you say after a lot of deliberating, a squeeze in your throat trying to stop you getting the words out, a deep frown set between your eyes. “I don’t want you to call me little love anymore.”

Most would say that you’re spoiled.
Honestly, you can’t argue against it.
Your father was committed to giving you the best of the best in life and made no exceptions. As far as he was concerned, you were the only person in the world that was worthy of luxury and relaxation. And given that your father was renowned warlord Sir Crocodile, giving you such a lifestyle was an easy feat.
Designer clothes and accessories filled your closet and fluctuated as styles evolved, all of your meals were expertly crafted by either a personal chef or the staff of a high end restaurant, and you had everything you could ever need for your hobbies. You even had your own pet bananawani, Lady Camorra, though she was still just a baby. Despite that, she was already the size of the lengthy dining room table and had to stay with the other bananawani in the basement.
All of this was accepted eagerly. What can you say? You’re a daddy’s girl.
The only responsibilities you had was to your dear pet and your studies, something that your dad was adamant about. Becoming a pirate like he did is distinctly not an option for you, that much has been made clear. What options you did have for your future were still very much a mystery to you, it was hard to believe that he would ever let you go out and get a job.
You couldn’t even go outside by yourself.
Not that it bothered you all that much. Despite the restrictions, you made outings with your dad (and typically his most recent assistant, Robin) frequently. He was a major public figure here in Alabasta and made many appearances for the sake of his reputation. Naturally, you would be brought along as well.
Most of the time, these were casual trips to go out to a nice restaurant or shopping. The only people that would be there at the same time as you would be the staff. You honestly wished there would be more people around, but when you voiced this, Crocodile would simply state that it was for safety and leave it at that. Which did make sense, you suppose. You weren’t so sheltered as to not be aware that your father has many enemies.
You were grateful for how pleasant your life has been and appreciated how hard Crocodile worked to provide it to you. Which is why you wanted to get him a gift for his birthday next week.
The most you’ve been able to do in the past is make him a card and some simple craft project you worked on. As much as you’ve wanted to get him a more proper present, you didn’t exactly have the means to do so. That, and he kept insisting that he doesn’t need you to get him anything. Usually he would say something cheesy along the lines of ‘your being here is gift enough’.
This year was going to be different, though. It took a great deal of planning, but you’re finally going to be able to surprise your dad with a real present this time! It took months of saving, but you’re pretty sure you’ve scraped together enough to buy him a new ring from a local jewelry store. It would probably surprise many to know that you don’t receive much for an allowance. It made sense though. Crocodile buys you everything you could ever need or want. The allowance was just some pocket change for you to go buy snacks from the casino you lived above.
Today was the day. Everything was going perfectly. You’d woken up early to get your studies done ahead of time. If you didn’t have everything finished, your personal bodyguards weren’t permitted to escort you down to get a treat. The timing of finishing early was crucial because Crocodile was due to make a public appearance at a neighboring city today, but it was only a brief one so you needed to make your excursion quick.
The biggest hurdle ahead of you was being able to ditch your guards and slip out of the casino unnoticed, but you had a plan. Once you got downstairs, you would go to the bathroom, put on your desert cape and a scarf to cover your face, and make a run for it. It’s far from being fool-proof, but it’s your best shot. Your guards aren’t allowed to take you out of the building, and you know no amount of begging will sway them. Though you do hope they won’t get fired over this, that would make you feel terrible.
All that you could do in this moment was try to get through your schoolwork as quickly as possible. Ideally, you wanted to leave shortly after Crocodile did since your window of time to do this wasn’t long. Three hours at most, based on how long these types of appearances usually take.
The door to your private study is opened, and you don’t need to look over your shoulder to know who it is. Heavy but precise footsteps come up behind you, and a large hand rests on the back of your chair.
“I’m going to be heading out now, do you need anything before I leave?”
As per usual, your dad’s main concern was you, feeling the need to ask the question despite knowing full well that you would absolutely be fine until he came back.
You giggled at the inquiry, “I think I’ll be okay for a couple hours, dad.”
Crocodile loomed over your desk, checking up on what you’re actively working on. His eyes narrowed as he read over your shoulder, “You’re typically still working on mathematics at this hour, why are you doing your history lesson already? You didn’t skip subjects, did you?”
Internally, you cursed at how observant your dad was. Of course he would notice this! The grip you had on the history book tightened as you scrambled to explain yourself, “Oh, um… No, I woke up early today and decided to just go ahead and get my schooling done.” You looked up at him and plastered on the most sweet and innocent smile you could, praying that he would buy it.
Crocodile’s eyebrows raised slightly, but the rest of his face remained neutral. Teeth ground against the cigar in his mouth as he considered your words. After a moment, he switched his focus to the books on your desk. Without responding to you, he brought one of them over to himself and began flipping through it, and then proceeded to do the same with a few more books.
He nodded, seemingly content with what he found, “Good work, that was very responsible of you.” His one hand gently pet your hair and he offered a small but genuine smile. “How about we get dinner at that one restaurant you really like tonight?”
Your eyes lit up and you bounced in your seat, “The one that has the really good ice cream?!”
“Of course you’re already thinking about dessert.” Crocodile chuckled, “But yes, that one.”
Lurching out of your chair, you wrap your arms around his torso and squeeze him into a tight hug. One that he returns gently while lightly laughing at your enthusiasm, “I’ll assume this is your way of saying that you would like to go.”
“Oh, yes! Please!”
“Very well, I’ll make the reservation now.” By that, he means he’s going to call and tell them to have the place cleared out before you two get there. “I have to leave now, be good and finish your studies.” With that, he exited the room and you could faintly register the sound of the front door opening and closing.
You resumed your work, eager to finish your final subject so you could get on with your plan. You bit your lip as you mulled over your newfound dilemma. Crocodile probably won’t take you out for dinner if you sneak out for a bit, even if it is for a good reason.
Maybe you could do this without being caught? If you really hurried and were successful at sneaking back into the casino, you might be able to gaslight your guards into thinking that they simply didn’t see you leave the bathroom. It would only be natural for you to keep walking and assume they were following you. They would likely be too embarrassed to bring this situation up to your father. Yeah, that should work. Hopefully.
With a newfound sense of determination, you complete your studies.
Gleefully, you scurry back to your bedroom to grab your purse. Your dessert cloak and scarf were already compactly folded and stuffed inside. You just needed one more thing and you would be ready to set your plan into action.
Unfortunately, there was no way for you to ask about your dad’s ring size without raising suspicion, so you would need to borrow one to bring with you. This wasn’t a problem, however. You frequently help him pick out which rings to wear in the morning, so you know exactly where to find them and what the combination to the safe is.
It was crucial that you didn’t leave a single clue that you’d been in his room while he was gone, so you were careful not to disturb anything besides the safe. Airing on the side of caution, you even take note of the exact position the knob is in so you can keep that minute detail the same. It would hardly be shocking for Crocodile to notice something like that.
After the safe door is open, you pull out the first ring you see, not wanting to disturb any of the other rings in here. It’s a sturdy golden ring with small but dazzling rubies decorating the band. He wore this one on his index finger somewhat regularly.
You slip the ring into your purse and spin on your heels, eager to leave so you can get on with your mission.
Making a conscious effort to keep your face neutral so as to not allude to being up to something, you open the front door and greet the two guards stationed outside of it, “Hi! I wanna go downstairs to that cute bakery in the lobby!”
One of the guards, an absolutely massive man named Abasi, regards you lightly, “We can’t do that until you’ve finished your schooling, you know that.” His voice was naturally gruff, but he spoke to you politely. His head was shaved clean minus the well maintained goatee he sported.
Summoning your best acting skills, you pout dramatically, “I am done, though! I woke up early and already did all of it.”
Tabia, a lean but distinctly tall woman with a scar running down the side of her face and parts of her neck eyed you warily, “Really, now? Then you won’t mind if I confirm that, yes?”
“Not at all!” You chirped happily, gesturing for her to come in and do just that. Continuing to stand in the entryway, you do your best to look as sweet and innocent as possible while Abasi continues blocking your way.
It doesn’t take long for Tabia to return, giving Abasi a silent nod to verify that your story was true. He nods back and finally steps out of the way, “Apologies for the inconvenience, Lady (Y/N).”
“Oh, it’s no problem,” you hurried past him so you could lead the way, but also avoid them possibly seeing something in your facial expression that could give you away. Now that you’d gotten the ball rolling, anxiety was starting to bubble in your stomach at all the ways this could go wrong.
All three of you enter an elevator at the end of the hall to bring you down to the lobby. The bodyguards are standing between you and the door, both with their backs to you as the lift begins its slow descent.
It’s quiet for a moment, but Tabia breaks the silence, “I’m surprised you wanted to do this, you haven’t requested to visit the lobby in months.”
Briefly, you wince at the observation. You suppose this fact would be suspicious in its own right. You’re quick to throw out an excuse and pray it sounds believable, “Haha, yeah. I guess I just got kinda burnt out with everything down there, but I’m really craving some baklava right now.”
“Makes sense,” was the only reply you got. You have to suppress the sigh of relief from them accepting the answer. This is going well so far, you can only hope that remains the case.
The elevator slows to a stop with a quiet ding and the doors slide open. Both guards step out first and scrutinize the surroundings before motioning that it’s okay to come out. Now that you’re where all the other people are, Abasi and Tabia station themselves on either side of you.
This was it, time to really get things started, “I have to go to the bathroom.”
Tabia’s eye, the one with the scar over it, twitched ever so slightly, “Can you not wait until you’re back in the safety of your home?”
You pressed your legs together and bounced slightly, “No, I really need to go. Like, now.”
She exhaled sharply, but changed course for the nearest public restroom, “Very well, we’ll wait outside for you.”
“Thank you!” You rushed past them and into the bathroom to maintain the fake urgency you’d just created. Of course, you didn’t actually have to go. Frantically, you run into an unoccupied stall and rip the clothes out of your purse to throw them on. There’s no time to make yourself look nice in them, you need to be out of here tout de suite. They’re going to be expecting you to finish your business in a few minutes, not a few seconds, so doing this as fast as humanly possible was the key here.
You grabbed the wallet and ring from your purse and inverted it. The handbag you’d chosen for today was reversible, something done intentionally so as to make it less likely for the guards to recognize you when you walked past them.
Your belongings were stuffed back into the purse and you ran out of the stall with the same speed that you entered it in. The handful of people in here with you shot you weird looks, but none of them appeared to have gotten the chance to recognize you when you came in. After a brief glance in the mirror to confirm that your scarf was obscuring your face, you ran for the door.
Time to act casual. Despite your previously frenzied state, you open the door and exit calmly. You keep your head down and do your best to look as unassuming as you can. Abasi and Tabia are silently standing outside, observing the crowded casino. They pay you no mind as you walk past, barely sparing you more than an instinctive glance before looking away.
They didn’t recognize you!
As much as you want to squeal in excitement, now is definitely not the time. You weren’t out of the woods yet. There was still a chance that you would be recognized at the main entrance. That, and you’re pretty sure the guards would immediately put the casino into lockdown as soon as they realized you weren’t in the bathroom. Which wouldn’t take long, Tabia has come into the bathroom to check on you before if she thinks you’re taking too long.
The casino itself was extremely loud as per usual. Between the chatter of the patrons and the noise of dozens of slot machines being played all at once you were positive that no one will be able to hear your heart pounding out of your chest. Guests were bumping into you as you slipped into the crowd to blend in better, which was a new sensation thanks to your guards always keeping people well away from you.
It was a touch overwhelming. You didn’t hate it, though.
The sparkling glass doors of the entrance came into view, and as much as you wanted to run through them, you refrained. That would look way too suspicious. The doors were already propped open, all you needed to do was walk through them and you would be in the clear.
You clutched your purse tighter to your person in a weak attempt to soothe your nerves. The instant your foot passed the threshold, one of the employees at the door spoke up, promptly causing your heart to leap into your throat. This is it, you’ve been caught!
“Have a nice day, miss! Please do come again!”
Oh, okay. You’re fine. You offer a small wave and a little ‘mhm’ because you can’t risk them figuring out who you are based on your voice.
As soon as you’re outside, you break into a power walk. Both to put space between you and the casino, but also to get to your destination quicker. Luckily for you, there was a jewelry store just down the street. If you really sped through the process, you think you could be back home in about ten minutes.
Convincing your guards that they simply hadn’t noticed you leaving the restroom would be difficult, but you’ll cross that bridge when you get to it.
No one paid you any mind as you jogged down the street, likely having more important things to worry about. This was another unique experience. Whenever you would go on an outing with your dad, people would gawk and even cheer to see him. Naturally, their fondness extended to you, though it was debatable if it was genuine or if they just saw you as an excellent networking opportunity. Right now, though? You were just some girl in a hurry, that’s it.
The jewelry store came into view. Blue Diamond Waterfall was etched into the sign outfront in an elegant, blue font. This was considered to be the best place to get accessories in all of Alabasta.
With your hopes high, you march into the store and make a beeline for the men’s section. High end watches glinted at you from their cases, but you ignored them. You were here for a ring, and only that. Finally, you see a display case containing just what you were looking for.
Unsurprisingly, all of the rings are gorgeous. The bands are expertly crafted with masterfully done engraved patterns, and the gems were cut to perfection. You smiled widely under your scarf. Crocodile would love these!
As your eyes rake over the wide selection, a thought strikes you. There are no price tags. You get an uncomfortable pit in your stomach as you suddenly question if you had enough for any of these. Was the absence of price tags a stylistic choice, or was this a case of ‘if you have to ask you can’t afford it’. You weren’t able to save up a particularly large sum of money, so you really hope it’s the former.
Before your anxiety can gnaw at you any further, an employee approaches you from the other side of the display case.
“Good morning! My name is Lapis, is there anything I can help you with today?” The individual standing across from you was an older woman with a kind face and graying hair.
“G-Good morning,” you were starting to feel embarrassed at the possibility that you would be leaving here empty handed and that your efforts would be for nothing. “Um, I was wanting to buy a ring, actually.”
“Well I can certainly help you with that! Might I ask what the occasion is that you’re shopping for?” Her voice was chipper and welcoming, which did help soothe you slightly.
“It’s for my dad, his birthday is soon and I wanted to get him something special.”
Lapis’s eyes softened and she brought a hand to her chest, “Oh, that is so sweet! I would love to assist you with that! As you can see, we have quite the collection of men’s jewelry here. Was there a specific price range you were wanting to keep to?”
Oh, boy. Here it goes. You fish your wallet out of your purse and pull out every bill you have in there before handing it to her, “However much this is… it’s um, all I have.”
She gracefully took the money and quickly counted all of it. Her lips pursed when she finished, and you could feel yourself begin to sweat. Were you about to get laughed out of the store for not having enough?
The berry was handed back to you and she spoke up again, “Alright, if you’ll follow me, we have a selection just over there that’s within your budget.”
Just like that, a weight was lifted from your shoulders. This excursion wouldn’t be a waste after all!
Lapis stops at the case at the very end and unlocks the cabinet to pull out one of the trays, and that’s when your heart falls again. Oh. These were the cheap rings. None of them had gemstones and there was little to no detailing done on the bands. That’s not to say that the rings were hideous, but they lacked the level of flashiness that your dad tended to gravitate towards.
You must have been visibly crestfallen from the realization, and Lapis was quick to reassure you, “It’s okay, there’s nothing to be upset over! It’s the thought that counts, I’m sure your father will be happy with whatever you give him. I understand that these may not be what you had in mind, but rest assured these are held to the same level of quality as any other ring in the store.”
In all honesty, you do believe that your dad wouldn’t care about the price tag, but if you’re going to be getting yourself into trouble getting him a gift you would at least want it to be something really nice. Still, it’s not like you have much of a choice. You’re not about to leave empty handed.
“Yeah, you’re right,” you muttered lamely.
“Do you know what his ring size is, dear?” If she noticed how bummed out you still were, she elected not to comment on it.
“Oh! I almost forgot, here,” you pull the ring you took out of your purse and handed it to her. “I didn’t know what his size was, so I just brought one of his rings in. I hope that’s enough.”
She pulled a key ring out with a bunch of loops on it and began comparing them to the ring. After trying a couple, she nodded, “Excellent, that was a smart idea on your part.” Lapis examined it for a moment before handing it back to you, “That’s a lovely ring, your father certainly has a keen eye for quality.”
Yep. And here you are in the cheap section.
As if she read your mind, she added on, “Which is why he’ll be happy with whatever you get him from our store.”
Whatever, now was not the time to mope. You were working off of a very limited amount of time right now and needed to get back to the casino sooner rather than later. You focused on the rings in front of you in hopes that one would stick out to you.
One did. While there was no stone in it, the band was carved out in a way that it resembled scales. Crocodile did have an affinity for reptiles. You could see him wearing something like this.
Lapis took notice of your lingering stare and smiled brightly while plucking the ring from its stand, “This would be an excellent choice, you must have inherited your father’s tastes.”
It’s placed in your hand and you take the time to carefully examine the piece of jewelry. You must admit that Lapis was correct about the quality here. There wasn’t a single flaw to be found, and it was in your price range. What more could you really ask for?
“Do you have this one in his size?”
She beamed at you, “I need to check, but I’m fairly certain we do. One moment, please.” She took the ring back and put it with the others before placing them in the safety of the display case. Briefly, she left the room to go look for the ring you want.
Your fingers drummed along the case while you glanced around the store. No one was paying you any mind, which was a blessing. Getting recognized out on the streets without guards would be disastrous. Even if the people didn’t have ill intent, you would be in deep trouble for getting caught outside.
Lapis came back looking quite proud of herself with a velvet ring box in hand. She cracked it open so you could see for yourself that your desired ring was inside, “Lucky you, it was the last one in stock!”
Lucky indeed. You would have cried if you couldn’t have gotten this ring. You followed her to the register to complete the purchase, ready to get out of here.
To say that you cut it close would be an understatement. You didn’t even have a hundred berry left over, but you did have enough and that’s what’s important. Lapis offered to get a bag for you, but you declined saying that you wanted this to be a surprise. An answer she accepted easily.
“I’m sure he’ll love it! You should come by again and let me kn-”
Suddenly, the doors up front were kicked open and crashed into the walls with deafening thuds.
“Everyone get on the ground, this is a robbery!”
You froze immediately and felt sweat drip down your neck. This could not be happening. No way.
A gunshot echoed through the store and a nearby display case exploded, showering Lapis and yourself with bits of glass. You shrieked and immediately dropped to the ground while a different voice repeated the previous order.
The box was tightly clasped in your hands, and in a moment of panic, you covertly stuffed it into an inside pocket on your desert cape. Just in time, too.
One of the assailants stomped his way towards the front desk where you were. Had you not been keeping your head down, you might have seen the kick coming. His foot connected with your ribs and sent you rolling away from him and through more glass.
“Out of my way, bitch!” He barked at you while you curled in on yourself and tried desperately not to cry. You glanced up just enough to see that you had apparently been sitting by where the door to get behind the counters was. Why couldn’t he have just asked for you to move? Asshole.
You tried to crawl out of the puddle of glass you were in, only for another man to point a gun at you and tell you not to move. So naturally, you resigned yourself to laying in shards of glass and your own blood as they continued to cut into you. Better to be injured than dead.
Risking another glance at all the people piling into the store, you picked up on something. They’re pirates. No wonder your father loathed them so much if this is how they act. These are exactly the kinds of lowlife brutes that he had described pirates as being.
Funny, now you’re hoping that Abasi and Tabia somehow figured out where you went and would be here any second to save you.
Well, more than that, even though you knew he would be furious, you just want your dad. You’ve seen him dispose of threats before on the rare occasion someone was stupid enough to try and challenge him while he was out with you. Of course, you had been a little frightened at their display, but you knew that your dad would take care of it. And he did.
But now he wasn’t here. He was in a whole different city. All you could do was hope that they didn’t hurt you more than they already have.
And that you wouldn’t be recognized.
Glass crushed under someone’s feet as you were approached. You flinched and curled up tighter in fear of what could come. A hand gently pulls at your shoulder.
“Sit up, honey, you’re hurting yourself,” Lapis whispered while slowly adjusting you into a sitting position. The pirates didn’t bother saying anything this time, instead being much more focused on bagging up everything they could as the shop owner went around unlocking the cases at gunpoint.
Once you were up, she began carefully brushing away the glass from your clothes. She sighed when she looked at your face and saw the tear tracks. Using part of your scarf, she did her best to clean off your face, “It’s going to be okay. They care about the jewelry, not us. They’ll leave once they’re done.”
Her light ministrations ceased, and she looked at you with furrowed brows. Then her eyes widened and your hood was pulled further down your face with shaky hands.
What? Why did she-
Oh
She saw your full face when she moved the scarf. She knew who you were.
“Keep your head down no matter what, okay?” Her voice was so low and strained that you could just barely make out the words. This was really bad, but at least Lapis was on your side here.
“That’s a nice purse you got there.”
The voice belonged to one of the pirates, the one that had kicked you. All you could do was cower. That was definitely directed towards you.
Despite you being frozen, Lapis acted quickly. She slipped the purse’s strap off your shoulder and tossed it away from you two. The pirate growled in annoyance, but ultimately turned to fetch it. You couldn’t care less about it being stolen, it’s not like there was anything in there that couldn’t be replaced.
Wait. Crocodile’s ring! The one you brought here with you! Shit!
You need to get that back, but what the hell were you supposed to do? Confront a violent pirate that has already attacked you once? Fuck it, the ring isn’t that important. At least the one you just picked out was still safely tucked away on your person.
The pirate let out a long whistle, “Damn, this is nice. How does someone with a ring like this have barely anything in their wallet?” He came over and crouched down next to you, shoving your shoulder when you didn’t answer, “C’mon, speak up. Wait, don’t tell me you were here to rob these bastards, too. Oh, that’s hilarious.”
Lapis pulled you into her side firmly, “Leave her alone, she’s just a child.”
“A child? She’s practically full grown from the looks of it,” he leered at your body, taking in every part of you that he could. From your peripherals, you could see his hand reaching for your hood, “Let me see your face, sweetheart. If you did steal that ring then I think there may be a place for you on my crew.”
You cringed and attempted to duck out of the way of his intruding hand, but all that did was anger him. Roughly, he grabbed your cape and yanked it off you so hard that it sent you tumbling backwards. Much to your horror, when you look up you see him holding not only your cape, but also the scarf.
You were entirely exposed.
The pirate, the captain of this whole awful crew, stared at you hard. Then, he doubled over and started cackling. His cronies looked back and forth between him and you as he laughed hysterically, visibly puzzled by his reaction.
“Forget the jewels boys, this girl is worth more than this whole damn city!” Not giving you a chance to even attempt to get away, he grabs you by your hair and forces you to stand. As if yanking you around by your hair wasn’t enough, you feel the chill of cold steel being pressed against your throat. A quick glance confirms your fears.
“What are you talking about, captain?”
The dagger at your throat is pressed even closer, enough so that you can feel the warmth of blood droplets dripping downward.
“This is Crocodile’s kid, and he’s going to pay us some damn good money to get his ‘little girl’ back in one piece,” the captain snapped at the crew member who dared to question what was going on.
“Cro- Did you say Crocodile?! Oh hell no, I agreed to help you rob a couple of places, not fuck with a warlord!” The pirate protesting this looked like he was about to bolt.
“Fucking relax, we’ve got him over a barrel by having her in our clutches, he won’t try shit. Besides, that government lapdog hasn’t done anything important in years, and he’s obviously losing his touch and becoming careless if he lets his kid walk around on her own.” He kicked at your heels and snarled at you to move it, “Let’s get out of here before anyone can try and stop us.”
You tried to struggle out of his grip, but it was useless. Frustrated tears poured down your face and mixed with the blood on your neck. Your sobs did nothing to deter the pirates who only laughed at your terror.
A sickening crunching sound cut through the air, followed by the dagger clattering to the floor and your hair being released. The captain’s body hit the floor with a loud thud and a tense silence fell over the store.
You can’t explain what possessed you to do it, but you slowly turned around to identify what happened. As soon as you laid eyes on the sight before you, bile rose in your throat and you stumbled back.
His neck was mangled and twisted, bones pressed against the skin in unnatural ways that made your head spin.
“What the fuck was that?”
“Were those arms?”
The pirates seemed to be just as disturbed as you as they paled from witnessing the horrifying demise of their captain.
Running was the most obvious course of action for you, but you couldn’t. Your body refused to move. Until you felt a hand on your wrist. Immediately, you screamed and tried to wrench yourself free, but the grip was like an iron shackle.
You crashed into a solid form and the smell of an expensive but familiar cologne filled your lungs. More tears stung at your eyes, not ones of terror but relief, “Dad?” You whirled around and latched onto your lifeline as your sobs began anew. You tried to articulate how scared you had been, or how happy you were that he was here, but you couldn’t form a single coherent word in your state.
The hand that had brought you over settled on the back of your head, holding you close. It was borderline crushing, but it helped to ground you.
When you found the strength to look up, you saw that he wasn’t looking at you. His eyes are locked onto the surrounding pirates who were all too scared to make a move. You’ve seen your dad irritated before, but you’ve never seen such raw fury on anyone. There wasn’t so much as a miniscule trace of humanity behind his eyes as he sneered at the people before him.
Without so much as a glance at you, you were shoved into someone else’s arms, “Take her home. Now.” Sand billowed off his body as his devil fruit went into action.
“Of course, sir,” you recognized Robin’s voice instantly and clung onto one of her arms helplessly as she guided you out of the store. You attempt to look back only for her to cover your eyes, “Don’t. You don’t need to see that.”
Hours would pass before you saw your dad again. The time passed in a haze as you were fussed over by doctors to treat your plethora of injuries. None of them were particularly serious, much less life-threatening, but there were many small wounds that all required the utmost attention. The worst part of it was them needing to pick out the tiny bits of glass from your knees, but compared to everything else that happened today, it was manageable.
Currently, you were laying on your bed with an ice pack pressed to your ribs to help with the bruising from the kick. Your fingers brushed over the velvet box in the pocket of your loungewear as you pondered if this was all worth it. The answer was obvious.
Of course not.
Footsteps that you would recognize anywhere approached your room. For once, you weren’t excited to see him. You knew that this would not end well.
The door opened and closed. Crocodile looked over your bandaged form for a moment, then came closer to sit on the edge of the bed. You had yet to look at him head on.
“How are you feeling?”
“Fine.”
“I just spoke with the doctors. Do not lie to me, you are not fine,” you could practically hear the scowl on his face as venom dripped off the word ‘fine’.
Risking a glance in his direction, his pinched features are about what you would expect. He was pissed, but not enough to lose his composure which was a positive. There was a noticeable amount of concern in his eyes.
Hesitantly, you reach out to hold his hand, a gesture he returns with a squeeze. “I’m sore…” you admitted, “but it’s not that bad, I guess.”
“I can’t put into words how relieved I am that you are alive and not hurt any worse than you are.” His eyes hardened and he continued, “With that said, what were you thinking?!”
The sudden raising of his voice made you jump. He’s never yelled at you even once in your life.
“Do you have any idea how dangerous and stupid that stunt you pulled was? How badly that could have gone for you if I hadn’t chosen to come back early?” A humorless laugh escaped him as he shook his head, “I knew it. I knew you were lying about something this morning, I just couldn’t determine what. If I hadn't listened to my instincts and continued with my plans for the day you could have been killed!”
“I’m sorry,” the apology sounds as weak and pathetic as you feel.
“I don’t want to hear it. What I want to know is what possessed you to do something so thoughtless. What could you possibly need from a jewelry store that you don’t already have? Was it just for the thrill or is all of this not enough for you anymore?” His tone was scathing as he gestured vaguely around your room at all the luxury items you owned.
There really isn’t any point in waiting now, is there?
“Your birthday is next week.” Gingerly, you pulled the box from your pocket and held it out to him, “I wanted to get you a real present for once. I’m sorry.”
Crocodile stared at the gift laid out for him, completely speechless. He released your hand and picked up the box, flicking it open with his thumb. His expression was unreadable, further adding to your previous fears of him hating the ring.
“I tried to save up enough money to get you something nice, but that was all that I could afford,” the explanation sounded lame, but it was the truth. Jewelry was much more expensive than you had thought.
“A-And I’m really sorry about this but I took one of your rings with me when I went because I didn’t know what size you were and it got stolen by one of the pirates. I d-didn’t mean for that to happen, but he already had my purse by the time I remember that it was in there.” You started to cry as the humiliation began to truly set in. You caused so much trouble and lost a ring he liked all for the sake of buying one that he didn’t even want. You were so stupid to think any part of this plan was a good idea.
Your lip wobbled as you wallowed in self pity.
Crocodile extended his hand to you, and you assume he’s giving it back to you because of how much he didn’t want it. You took it, but were surprised when his hand stayed there.
“Put it on.”
A loud sniffle came out as you shakily slipped it onto his index finger, “You like it?”
“I appreciate the effort you went through to get this for me, and it is pleasing to look at,” he admired it on his hand for a moment before staring hard at you, “But don’t you dare even think about doing something like this again. Do I make myself clear?”
You nodded vigorously. After how horrible this whole experience was, you would never so much as go past the front door without your dad by your side. You wouldn’t even go to the lobby anymore, not that you really think you’re going to be allowed to after this.
The second he opened his arms to you, you launched yourself at him, holding on for all it’s worth. His arms crushed you against him as he seemed to need this hug as much as you did. You reveled in the warmth and comfort his embrace provided.
“You’re grounded for the rest of your life, by the way.”
Despite everything, you couldn’t help but giggle.
“You’re laughing but I’m serious,” going against the previous statement, he chuckled a little himself.
Finally, he pulled you away from him and motioned for you to lie down again, “Get some rest. I’ve got some business to attend to, but Nico Robin will be around if you need anything.”
Rest sounded great right about now, and since you got some weight off your chest, you think you’ll actually be able to sleep unlike before. Yours eyes were already beginning to drift shut in the time it took for Crocodile to reach the door.
Crocodile glared at the simple ring adorning his finger. Not because he hated it or anything of the sort. Honestly, he found its simplicity charming to a degree. That, and it was a gift from his darling, albeit troublesome, daughter.
The problem lied in the fact that the only thing he could see when he looked at it was your terrified face as that filthy pirate attempted to take you hostage. Unfortunately, he would have to resign himself to learning to live with it because he’s going to have to wear this accursed thing every day for the rest of his life to spare your feelings.
Robin was already waiting for him in his office, something he was grateful for given how much he wanted to get his “business” done and over with. He sat at his luxurious desk and pulled out a much needed cigar, “Is everyone here?”
“Yes, they’re waiting for you in the basement.”
He nodded as his lighter ignited the end of his cigar and took a long drag. It did nothing to help his nerves. That wasn’t surprising though, considering the day he’s had. He spared a glance at Robin, “Were there any problems?”
“There was one runner, a guard that had been at the front door, but he’s been apprehended and is with the others.” Robin looked away and pursed her lips, “Is it truly necessary to have everyone on staff today down there, though? The few directly involved, I understand, but this seems excessive.”
“Excessive? My daughter could have been killed thanks to their negligence. I only hire the best of the best for security, they should not have been fooled by a goddamned scarf,” he seethed as he slammed his hook into the desk. The wood splintered from the force and the tip of the hook pierced it deeply.
What made the situation worse was that upon realizing that you were gone, your guards did not immediately call to inform him. Granted, he would have still killed them regardless, but it was the principle of it. The audacity to attempt to save their own asses by keeping your vanishing act a secret.
“(Y/N)’s safety is their top priority and failing to do the bare minimum of keeping her in the building is a grave mistake with a high cost. That cost being their lives.” Crocodile leaned forward and leveled Robin with a glare, “If you question what I’m willing to do for my daughter again, you will be paying the same price. Understood?”
She shivered under the intensity, but did her best to keep it together, “I understand, it won’t happen again.”
“It better not.” He stood up, heading for the basement to do what needed to be done, “Keep an eye on (Y/N) until I come back.”
“Yes, sir.”
