something I've been thinking about quite a bit about the very specific ways my muses show affection or like... things they'll only do with people they love or care about. Like for example:

Mikah: Night hikes and stargazing. They're a bit of work but they like being outdoors at night and while they won't drag anyone outside if they truly don't want to, they like sharing that moment with people close to them.

Penny: The sweetest good morning texts. Like as soon as she's coherent enough to grab her phone, the first thing she thinks of "I have to say good morning." If she and her s/o are are sharing a living space, then lil good morning chats.

Wynn: Picnics :) or camping. He's another one that likes being outdoors and just chilling, enjoying the scenery, and feeding a loved one little snacks brings him so much joy

Evan: He is big on gift giving. And not just spending money because he can--his gifts are extremely specific and he only gives them if he knows the person in question will like it.

Dakota: Just a little night in--like a genuinely, normal night in. Like "posting up on the floor in front of the TV with snacks" night in. Like an "order food and relax" night in. Like a "stay up all night talking about your thoughts" night in.

Joey: (Very Lera specific) Another one that likes the indoors. He'll cook for his partner and make a nice dinner for then. Makes sure he knows their favorite dish so he can make it for them.

Roderick: Go for a drive with him. It can be a nice little drive to the beach or to a park or wherever. And, on top of that, he will listen like whatever his loved one has to say is the most important thing in the world.

Andy: Flowers that he knows his s/o likes--not ones that remind them of him. It doesn't matter if he holds any power over them or what shape they take--he'll keep more of them around.

Vega: (Very Astra specific) S/Os hobbies and likes become something he gets invested in. like in addition to his own. they become something that he wants to participate in as a means to be closer to his loved one.

Lawali: Will 100% make his significant other, whoever they are, his muse. It'll influence how he paints and what references he likes to use. They won't necessarily be in the paintings/photos but their influence on him will be tangible

MIKAH NOLAND-ROUX: OUTFIT HCS

work wear: mikah has two priorities when they're getting dressed to do a job--"does it conceal enough?" and "is it practical?". they fuck around with a lot of things but their choice of clothing is not one of them. they wear clothes that they can move in without getting caught up in trivial things or... pieces of fabric that could get caught on something because it's too loose. their ideal outfit is a plain black long-sleeve top, joggers or cargo pants, and either sneakers or boots. if it's cold, they'll also have a hooded sweartshirt of some kind.. but one that fits them--like actually fits them. baggy clothing is a hazard and is distracting. a good pair of gloves is also a must.

casual wear: literally whatever they're comfortable in. they hate jeans, though, so you won't catch them in that any time soon. mikah dresses to be comfortable and to "leave the mind guessing" so whatever they want to wear is what they're wearing. a lot of it is stuff that looks like it'd be what they'd wear on a job but wouldn't ( because if it has shit that dangles or is too loose, they can't wear it )

at home wear: whatever they want. but they're another fan of oversized tops and shorts. they're the type to wear that in winter, complain that it's cold, but won't do anything aside from... grabbing a blanket or something. however, they have them on hand when they need to leave their apartment for any reason.

sleepwear: mikah is a member of the "sleeps shirtless" club with evan. partly because they want to. the other part is because mikah makes their bed the most comfortable place on the planet for themself due to insomnia. so it's like... do they need anything else? also, i am a huge proponent of people not thinking mikah has muscle definition and then bam--defined af upper body when they pull off their shirt off

Mikah's wrists are not slim enough to slip out of handcuffs but trust and believe that they are flexible enough to get their hands in front of them if left unattended. It's honestly become a game to see how fast they can get them off once they've been cuffed.

Its why they always have their hair in a ponytail, bun, or braid too--its very easy for them to hide small hairpins or some of their slimmer tools in their hair to pull out later.

random fact 728: mikah fucks up English and French so bad when they're exhausted. because French is their first language, that's the language they think in for the most part. when they're running on negative sleep, it kinda just shuts off their willingness to... be coherent in a language everyone understands so even if they start off in English, it's probably a one or two word response before they give up. but at the same time, they're so used to speaking English now that their mouth and the way they speak will kinda.... stick with English way of speaking and pronouncing thing. so what comes out is this fluent but very... awkward string of words in French that doesn't sound quite right if they heard themself talk but to them, it accomplishes exactly what it needs to ( which is nothing but... you know )

bonus points: they get so huffy and hissy when, reasonably, the person who they are talking to has difficulty understanding them or just... can't at all. they've chewed out Evan ( who knows French but it's more conversational than actually fluent ) when they've had to repeat something to him more than once in this state. even though it's their fault.

Share 5 particular habits that your muse have!

HABIT 1: Mikah bakes better than they cook. That isn't to say that their cooking is bad… it's just Okay. It's decent and is enough for them to feed themself when they're hungry. However, just like how people can get extremely frustrated with baking, Mikah can get a similar way when cooking — especially when it involves anything pertaining to frying oil.

HABIT 2: Because of the difficulty that they can have sleeping, Mikah has like… a specific "time to go to bed" routine that is basically their way of telling their body "okay after all this, we sleep". it's like this

phone is placed face down on their nightstand ( so they're not carrying it around while they get ready ).

hair gets pulled back into a messy bun and they clean up a little bit. if they have dishes in the sink , they'll wash them at this point.

turn off the lights in the living room and kitchen on their way to go shower, brush their teeth, wash their face, etc.

bathroom lights stay on but the door isn't 100% closed. they leave it ajar.

they take their hair out of it's bun to put it in a big braid, change into whatever they feel like sleeping in, shut off bedroom lights, and get in bed. their bedroom door is kept ajar as well with a pair of shoes placed against the door.

HABIT 3: They play with their own fingers a lot if they're idly sitting somewhere. More oft than not, it's the right playing with the left hand and they're usually picking at their nails. If it's not their nails then it's the sleeve of whatever sweater they're wearing.

HABIT 4: They are a "i sit cross-legged in a chair for comfort" girlie. they're also a "bring my knee up to my chest" girlie but they end up putting their leg down after a while.

HABIT 5: mikah walks around as if they don't want to be heard. you might hear a slight shuffling every now and then if they're dragging their feet on the floor as they walk… but, aside from that, they're pretty quiet when they move around. it's gotten to the point where if they're walking up behind people to like… talk to them or walking up behind their partner, they'll either say something or they'll give the other person a tap to let them know that they're there

I've always imagined Mikah's hair to either be this shade or a little darker ( especially in the colder/ winter months when they let their roots grow out or just plain give their hair a break ). The styles are also pretty consistent with how Mikah wears their hair -- with the messy bun being and braided ponytail being the closest to their day to day looks It's also why they're so particular about people touching their head or pulling their hair. Because their hair is nice, y'all. It's very well taken care of.

blood headcanons: part 1 | part 2 | part 4

choosing the group to cover today was a little hard but i'm going to opt for joey, mikah, and vega today, given that it'll be a little easier since they have a singular shared trait: the fact that they can resurrect when killed.

mikah and joseph are a slight different case compared to Vega, as they are Ajin. the resurrection is a set bodily process that is just.... apart of their life. whether or not it's caused by an organ or something else, no one knows. all anyone does know is that when they resurrect, they're as good as new.... and you know, i will take that to heart.

mikah and joseph's blood will always taste fresh. it's pretty basic in flavors and is honestly comparable to those staple summer drinks that you crave when it's hot out and your throat is dry. it's thirst quenching and whatever flavors are in it don't get watered down or diluted by ice and whatever else you add to it. it'll naturally taste a little less impactful if you attempt to drink from them right as they've reset but it lasts maybe an hour at most.

vega, due to the fact that his resurrections are not really.... natural and are caused by some supernatural process that takes a bit longer than the other two, is more like flavored sparkling or seltzer water. still very good and refreshing but in a different way. it may lose some carbonation when he's just revived but it doesn't take too long for it to reach the same mouth feel as it normally is. maybe a couple days, at most.

the key take away is that it will never taste any different. it is reliable in that no matter how long they live and no matter how many times they are killed, it will always go back to tasting as though you just uncorked a bottle of it that just been chilling and waiting for you.

What are Mikah, Evan and Wynn's workout routines? Schedules? Preferred activities? Do they ever work out together or tried each other's exercises?

Mikah is more of a "Wake up, shower, go for a run" girlie, so their exercise typically takes place in the early morning. their typical workout consists of a handful of the following:

Stretching exercises: Purely so they don't hurt themself or pull a muscle.

Running: never less than a mile per day and 7 per week. Their average falls around the 9-10 mile range. Sometimes they'll sprint half a mile but it's rare and it's usually if they're running with someone else.

Push ups and pull ups: they alternate these two. if they do push ups one day, they will do pull ups the next day.

Squats: they vary the types of squats they do every so often. sometimes they do squats with weights but other times, they don't. it really depends on how they're feeling.

Climb ups, jump ups, and vaults: Always with gloves and always after they've warmed up a little and stretched. They don't want to strain any muscles and they're not trying to hurt themself.

Hiking: Mikah typically hikes for leisure but that doesn't mean that they don't get exercise out of it. They usually pick the most difficult, tiring paths just because.

Wynn is more likely to allow himself to wake up more fully before he does any exercise. He's a fairly regimented person so… he has a set schedule of what he's supposed to focus on per week.

Monday is Strength Training. That means pull-ups, push ups, squats and general weight lifting. He hates deadlifts but if it's a really good day, he'll squeeze one in. Otherwise, he's good with the first three.

Tuesday is Plyometric Training. Here, he typically does clap push-ups, burpees, box jumps, and a jumping rope. He also does quite a bit of running this day, too, and sprinting is something he tends to enjoy.

Wednesday is Core Training. For him, that means sit-ups, bicycle crunches, russian twists ( sometimes weighted ), and L-sits.

Thursday is the first rest day. However, it's an active rest--meaning he's usually exercising in some way but it's not intesive or very difficult for him. He can either go for a jog or spend some time doing some stretching exercises. most times, he does both.

Friday is reserved for Heavy Bag Workouts. Wynn has various kickboxing and boxing drills in his head that he knows by heart so he'll just cycle through them until he reaches the end of his mental list. This is also one of his favorite days.

Saturday is for Shadowboxing and Sparring. He's very used to Shadowboxing ( because dude can lay someone Out very easily ) but he really prefers to have a partner. Even if the person in question doesn't want to Spar with him, they can still do focus mitt drills--which do just as much for him, honestly.

Evan typically favors the afternoon or evening because that's honestly when he has the most energy. Because he travels a lot, he has to be very flexible on what he can and can't do. however, it usual consists of the following:

Hiking: This one really depends on the location but if there's a trail within an hour of where he is presently staying, Evan will go hiking. The trail has to be reasonably difficult, though, or it's just the same as him taking a casual walk.

Any core exercises: They're very easy to do on the go so he throws together squats, planks, wall-sits, and maybe crunches.

Push ups: Same as above. He doesn't do anything fancy--just plain push-ups.

Stretching exercise: Purely because he's pulled a muscle before and it was painful. Never again.

Running: Tries to run at least a mile, maybe more if he knows that's the only exercise he's really going to do that day. if it's a long running session, he'll take breaks every 10 minutes or so.

Reaction ball drills: He has one or two that he carries with him regardless of where he's going. It's something that he can idly throw and catch without much effort, but still keeps him sharp.

Their workouts can overlap some days and if they do, it's not uncommon for them to meet up and exercise together. For example:

Mikah and Wynn run together sometimes. If Wynn wants to sprint, Mikah will sprint with him. Evan would run with them but he's not getting up that early.

Conversely, Wynn will help Mikah with strength and core training. Mikah doesn't struggle with it, per se, but Wynn pushes them if he feels like they're not doing as much as they're physically able to do.

Wynn and Evan do various reflex drills together. The focus mitt drill mentioned in Wynn's is the one thing that they will always do due to the fact that Evan's hand eye coordination is advanced enough and he doesn't run the risk of accidentally getting punched in the face.

Wynn and Evan are sparring partners but Wynn usually has Evan on his ass after a couple minutes. Evan likes fighting, though, so it never discourages him. If anything, Evan comes out sturdier for it.

Mikah and Evan go hiking together. They take turns picking places and Mikah is the one that forces Evan to go on needlessly difficult hikes to make sure he's still in shape.

What is Mikah’s greatest fear? Is there something they used to be afraid of but overcame it?

Mikah has two things that they would log undefr the "greatest fear" category. They have a physical fear and an emotional one that serve as their active and passive fears respectively.

Mikah's greatest physical fear is being trapped in a constant, never-ending cycle of death — where they revive and die without being able to do anything about it. now, before anyone decides to try to capitalize on it or try to draw it out by just killing Mikah over and over manually, that will only make them mad and the moment fucks up or miscalculates a killing blow, Mikah will retaliate by killing you then and there with their ghost.

A cycle that would truly scare them, for example, is like… dropping them in the middle of the ocean with no way to get back to shore. Mikah already has thalassophobia so… that, coupled with the fact that whatever they on ( if even that ) will wear down and they'll sink… and sink… and sink. Because Mikah never learned how to swim… and they have thalassophobia. so they'll just… panic and be completely helpless. they can't use their ghost because it's useless when it touches water — disolves quicker than my will to work on a Friday. once they're completely submerged and they eventually drown, it's not like they;ll be dead long enough for their body to float up… so they'll keep sinking as their resetting — as they're regaining consciousness — only to repeat that 10 to 12 minutes later. it'll continue on like that until their pseudo-immortality runs out or some poor soul fishes them out of the water. either way, they're stuck like that for a very long time.

the emotional fear that mikah has is a little more typical, in that they fear betrayal and rejection from those they have grown to love and trust deeply. mikah, like most muses on thise blog, takes a hot minute to truly be vulnerable with another person in a meaningful way… and they second guess themself a lot each step of the way. when they do share things about themself or things they like with someone, it's in an effort to grow closer to said person--as if to say “this is a part of me that I am trusting you with”. they'll never admit to being sensitive about that but they are so…. having the bits and pieces of themself that they give to someone ( after months or years ) thrown back in their face is something that they would take… very personally. this fear can very easily translate into anger and frustration, too, so while it might not look like fear in the moment — it's still borne out of that.

in mikah's opinion, there is not much to overcome. they just… live with the fact that they're like that and pray that it doesn't bite them in the ass
