Honestly, I just picked pokémon I liked and that were around the Lavaridge area. I said here how I caught my team members!

I don't! I knew before I started my journey I wanted to be a fire type specialist.

Fire types tend to be very clean! They still need to be groomed like any pokémon, of course, but a lot of them will douse themselves in flame regularly to clean themselves. Blaziken in particular will immolate their old feathers near the end of their molting cycle.

Huh, this is a good question. My brother's a ground type specialist so outside of the fire type I'm probably most familiar with those, but... if I had to pick something for myself? Maybe electric type. They tend to have the same kind of high-energy dispositions that fire types do.

Hm. I've talked before here about fire types not being inherently more dangerous than any other pokémon, so I won't reiterate that now.
