Anna: *is on the brink of literal death and when it comes to going after the stranger who is actually pretty nice and kind and likes her for her and treats her with respect vs the person who she has longed for her entire life even though she keeps pushing her away, she goes after her sister because despite it all she still wants Her love, hell just her Attention above anything else.*

The movie: This is true love 🥰

Okay so this was going to be a critique about how Anna is seen as naive and dumb and it is used against her the entire movie without ever acknowledging *why* she's like that. And how a lot of fans don't see it either. But then it really just turned into me trauma dumping lmao.

But seriously. I feel like most of the neglect and abuse talk ends up being towards Elsa cause she visibly struggles more. And Anna hides it because she has to. Her parents were so worried about elsa that they didnt have time for her pain too. So it's hidden. But it is most definitely there. And it deserves to be mentioned and talked about.

Also this is a very common situation for emotionally neglected people to find themselves in. They cling onto someone showing the slightest bit of decency and believe it's good and amazing cause when you're starved, you'll eat poison if it might help for just a moment. Cause something is better than nothing. And when the something is bad and hurting, the pain of going back to nothing is worse. So you're stuck with a Hans believing it's what you deserve because of years of neglect and abuse.

But yeah. Anna is just dumb and naive. Definitely no trauma on her end.

Bottom line:

Anna deserves better. In canon and from fandom. And ESPECIALLY from Disney.

I think I'm the only person who headcanons that the prince died before reaching adulthood so let me share some info on that:

He died at 16

He did NOT take his death well whatsoever at first (dying before even finishing school is pretty lame)

Being surrounded by dead people and the ghosts of your future subjects is not good on a literal teenagers mental health

The first time he Killed a person it was on accident and he pretended it was on purpose ("it's not a big deal I killed him he deserved it")

Slowly just became desensitized/indifferent to murder (being surrounded by dead people will do that to ya)

"I reject humanity I wanna be a cryptid"

Awful coping mechanism acquired (consuming the souls of the innocent)

Depressed ghost Prince evolves into emo noodle

"I am no longer emotionally damaged whatsoever" (a lie)

Notices that outsiders have started to refer to him as "the soul Snatcher of Subcon" and steals The Snatcher as his name (Prince is not a very edgy INTIMIDATING name)

R - remembered… The first time you saw his bike. Your eyes pratically had hearts in them as you eyed the decaling on it. From there, you heard his hearty laugh and instantly fell in love !

S - security So protective over you! Not in an obsessive way, but he loves you and naturally wants peace for you.

T - trying effort Tries so hard to make sure you’re happy. If you want to try something new, he will with you, and etc.

U - unfairness Teases you a lot. He just thinks it’s adorable to see your face twist when he says things opposite of the answer you wanted.

V - volume surprisingly quiet. He whimpers a lot, and those can get loud, but he doesn’t moan a whole lot. He does moan, don’t kid yourself, but whimpering and groans are more often.
