Theres the sound of soft rumbling and clicking above her, while the small deity in the form of a hedgehog is shifting to move abover her, originally his plan was just to seek her out for warmth- which was why he was shuffling his way above her to try and snuggle into her bare fur. Being a deity that was split in half- used to be a whole god- meant he wasnt entirely sure where the borderline of ‘sex’ and those sort of things begun. Which also meant he had no damn clue what he was doing could be seen as something erotic. Humming quietly as he shuffles above her trying to ensure he wont just fall off when he flops down. Worst comes to worst, he can try and melt into her shadow and sleep that way.

16 years.

16 years ago, I had met a boy who stood in his bedroom. Getting ready to celebrate his 13th birthday by playing a new game with 3 of his closest friends. He was silly and hated cake and just wanted to enjoy his special day without the hassle. Unaware that he'd be thrown head first into an adventure decades in the making.

16 years ago, this boy and his friends helped me out in ways that still affect me. He helped me embrace the silly and the whimsy. He helped me realize that growing up didn't have to mean not having a good time.

John Egbert, you may not be real. But you and the people you've met along the way have helped me with being more open to myself and not be ashamed. So thank you, John for everything and happy 29th birthday. And thank you Andrew Hussie, for making me and so many others childhoods and teenage years so memorable.
