*Realises special talent for remembering very weird, old sitcoms.*
Yeah, I saw something that had me flashing back to an old Fox series, Herman's Head (1990s adult Inside Out). I suddenly remembered Whoops! (survivors of a nuclear war try to rebuild civilisation and live with each other on some little farmstead property they find, played for humor as they're all a bunch of quirksters and losers, only ran one season iirc). Get a Life (a sitcom about an immature man in his 30s still living with his parents and working a bike paper-route, couldn't be made today as it hits too close to the lived reality of too many people in today's capitalist hellscape). I remember quite a bit of the TGIF lineup, too, like Family Matters and Full House. I also remember one really awful show about a teenager becoming his best friend's guardian angel after he food poisons himself eating a bad burger - Teen Angel.
I didn't have cable / satelite growing up. Lived rural, too many mountains, cheap / thrifty / poor-ish parents. I was also introverted, outcast and lonely. I had cats and... a lot of shitty network TV when I was a teenager.
I'm just surprised at how much I remember.
