Eugene finally finding the sea and standing at the shore in awe and Riley is celebrating with him and congratulating him because you did it! You can finally go home! And it's bittersweet because he WANTS Eugene to be home safe and happy again so so badly but it also pains him to know that he very well may never see his one and only again

And it's no easier for Eugene because sure he loves Riley but that's his life out there. That's his home his family his friends and he can't give all that up JUST for Riley, especially after all the time and effort it took to get here in the first place. He needs to figure out his priorities

Just a big bittersweet trainwreck for the both of them, my favorite hehe

So this could go one of two ways.

Either Eugene leaves, which I personally feel is more likely, and Riley is left alone. He waits at the shore, some days. Most days, actually. Waiting weeks, months, maybe longer for Eugene to come back and visit. Surely, this time, he'll show up.

Or this time.

Maybe this time.

It doesn't take this long because Eugene doesn't care, or that he forgot, though after a while Riley starts to believe it is. Eugene's looking for him too but one he's bad with navigation and two he's a very busy fish (and a very important one if he performs for royalty) and just doesn't have the time to do a proper search

So that's one way it could go. The "bad ending" I guess?? Or

Eugene stays. To Riley it makes no sense. Why would he stay in this stupid pathetic little river with him when he had EVERYTHING back home? He had it good. He did what he loved for huge crowds, he's like. A huge star down there. And he's willing to give that up for Riley??? Some human guy who doesn't have HALF as much as Eugene had. And it doesn't help that Riley sees himself as basically nothing. Why would someone who can have everything choose to have nothing?

But Eugene is, to put it simply, a romantic. And he loves Riley. He loves his laugh, he loves his eyes, he loves his company. He loves him. And he knows Riley loves him back, and he doesn't want to hurt him, and he doesn't want to leave him. It wouldn't be the same without him.

Riley of course refuses to believe this at first but with Eugene being his cheesy charming romantic self he'll get there eventually

💖 Has your OC ever been in love, be it romantic or platonic or otherwise? Who with and did they ever express their feelings or keep it private? How long did these feelings persist / do they still feel this way?

Ahhh Teutho's love life, truly one of the most incomprehensible things known to both man and vampire...

One of these days I might post the whole story, but here's the abridged version:

Teutho dated Mordecai for a very long time, he was his first mate in more than just the nautical way. There was a time when they both loved each other genuinely, but that love had turned into unhealthy codependence by the time they finally broke up, about a thousand years later.

Meanwhile, when he was still human, Teutho thought he had also fallen in love with his vampiric sire, Malakos, but that was really a coping mechanism and he wasn't actually in love with him. He lied to Malakos, said "I love you's" to protect himself and Mordecai, but said it so much he started to believe his own lies.

Later Teutho dated Vivian as well. He loved both Mordecai and Vivian, but treated them very poorly, it was a manipulative sort of love where he often pitted them against each other.

Vivian left, and then Mordecai, and Teutho still pursued them but more out of feelings of possession than actual love. Even after all traces of romantic feeling had faded, he still sought ways to get revenge on them for leaving.

Finally Teutho met Sirena. At first he pursued her only out of spite against her family, and he treated her just as poorly as he did Mordecai and Vivian.

But Sirena was able to beat Teutho at his games, win over his crew to mutiny him, and imprison him for years. During that time Teutho realized the error of his ways, and more importantly, that he had been wasting his time running around on Sirena when she was the most important person in the whole of existence.

Sirena freed Teutho, but he returned to her and begged for a place in her crew, a place at her side. It was a surprise to everyone including Teutho when she agreed. And little by little they both fell in love, into a love more true and strong than any Teutho had ever felt before.

Before Sirena, Teutho was always very strategic with the expression of his feelings and his confessions of love. With Mordecai, he confessed first knowing it would let him set the pace of their relationship. With Vivian, he let her come to him, so she would feel everything that followed was her own fault. With Malakos, it was a defense mechanism.

But finally, with Sirena, it was simply the honest truth and he said it readily. Knowing Sirena, Teutho fully expected she might use his love against him. But what other option was there than to say it? To Teutho, his love for Sirena is a truth so cosmic and powerful that to be silent on it is impossible.

🍆 Tea or Coffee or Hot Chocolate? Sweet or Spicy? Fruits or Vegetables?

Teutho prefers human blood to most human drinks or foods. But if he was forced to be human again for a day he'd like tea, specifically yerba mate with the metal straw; sweet over spicy; and fruits over vegetables. He'd like citrus and lemon since sailors need those to live. A nostalgic dish for him would be khachapuri (cheese bread).

🌸 What does your OC’s voice sound like? Their laugh? Are they good at singing? Do they have an accent?

The best voice claim I've found so far for Teutho is Matthew Rhys (Belos from the Owl House). Teutho has a smooth voice that would lure people in. In terms of vocal mannerisms I imagine he speaks like Lestat from IWTV where he'll weave through conversations like a cat and pepper in French. Teutho has a laugh that can go from light and charming to sounding insane. He's a good singer, though he pales in comparison to his literal siren wife.

Teutho is very good at learning languages to the point where he can speak them near-flawlessly, without an accent. But much like his old buddy Mordecai, when he gets especially pissed off or flustered his Georgian accent will slip out. Unlike Mordecai who will just get embarrassed about this and try to hide it again, Teutho will immediately attempt to gaslight you into thinking you didn't hear an accent at all...

Spoiler-y Vikings: Valhalla musings/ramble - Godwin and Emma

Under the cut will be some ramble about them, that is just my personal opinion and how it played out to me. Practically word vomit.

When Godwin plead Ælfwynn to tell Emma it was him, he knew she would never do that. In fact, she was determined to tell the truth- which was that she was innocent- not knowing that Godwin already gave her the true answer on a silver platter. To her, the Queen was acting without reason, because Godwin didn't do anything wrong, right? And when she is innocent, nothing bad could happen. The queen just needed to understand.

But Godwin had ensured Ælfwynn looked guilty. He obviously did a background check on Ælfwynn and found out she had an estranged step-brother. With the help of his former guardian Bear, he hired said step-brother to kill Emma. (He never actually wanted to kill her then, Godwin needed her to believe her life was in danger. He'd hinted at her safety previously, to make sure the paranoia would settle in.) Ælfwynn obviously had an emotional reaction to her step-brother being executed- Who wouldn't?- and with the seeds of mistrust planted by Godwin, Emma assumed there was more behind Ælfwynn's reaction. (Just like Godwin wanted her to)

What hurts me to know is that Godwin never loved Ælfwynn. He didn't and couldn't- too busy making sure everything would play out perfectly. She was just a pawn he shifted around the chessboard until he let the Queen take her. Quite literally. His true agenda is revealed really early on when he tells Ælfwynn he wants his son to be king one day. And they both knew Ælwynn would not be able to make her husband's dream come true.

I can only imagine the amount of work Godwin would have to put into pretending to be an upstanding and innocent; loving man who've been wronged in the past. Although, he only had one person as audience, which makes it a lot easier- so it wasn't that impressive in the end. He managed to fool Ælfwynn and knew she would rave about him to Gytha who was already not looking forward to being married off to some stranger. Gytha, her friend and who is a princess (and not just ANY princess, she's part of Canute's family, his niece!). She was the woman he was actually after and who would ensure a deeper bond to the king, but who he would never be able to marry, unless the king and queen suggested such a union out of guilt.

Godwin sure is cunning, but also proved to do anything to get what he wants. Sacrificing a young, doe-eyed woman who truly loved him until the end, without even blinking. And by the Gods, his theatre act of crying for his lost love was chef's kiss. He even used her grave as meet-up point to get closer to Gytha. (Who now viewed him as the poor widower who needs someone who loves him.)

And managed to make Emma feel guilty.

I'm quite positive that Emma hated the most that she did exactly what Godwin planned her to do. And through this whole scheme Emma lost both her loyal ladies/handmaiden/confidante, which surely will weaken her in the future, one way or another. While, yes, it was probably hard for her to have a hand in killing Ælfwynn, it might be even harder to realize it wasn't even her own choice to do so. How dirty and angry she must've felt to know she too was a pawn in Godwin's ploy and take an innocent life...

Then again, Emma always knew Godwin was at fault, but couldn't prove it, until she found Bear. Someone Godwin most likely had killed by another's hand, to make sure Emma would never be able to question him.

What I personally loved was Emma's move to gift the ring Bear had worn to Gytha and to ask her to wear it at all times. (Who is to refuse their queen? 😏) The beauty in tormenting Godwin with a simple piece of jewelry around his new wives neck though! Brilliant. Not only a reminder of what he'd done, but also that Emma knew exactly what he truly did.

Personally, I saw it as a promise that she will destroy him, if given the chance. And I think Godwin realized that as well and finally understood that Emma of Normandy indeed created nightmares. And now he was living in one of them.

Hc: (This headcanon is canon divergent. In it, Philip and Caleb were born in the town of Gravesfield.)

The "Tales Of The Brother's Wittebane" story was slightly incorrect with some noticeable inaccuracies and one of those inaccuracies were the choice of clothing for the Philip and Caleb puppets in the beginning.

Those outfits were ones that the two would wear to church.

They should have been wearing their casual og outfits + Caleb seemed a bit older and taller (he should have been younger and shorter).
