Anyways HERE WE GO---

Before we begin, I would like to let you know that I'm using Photopea for all of the edits that have gifs in them. It's free and you can use it on your device's browser. [ Better to use on a big screen, less of a hassle to work ]

For my example I will be using this random frame I found on Google and a gif of Blind Obsession Ishmael !

But, you can use this tutorial for any Rentry frame or gif of your choosing. [ Though, if both are squared shape then it'll be a lot easier because you just put the gif under the frame with some resizing ]

Import them into Photopea in different canvases

Go to the canvas where your gif is and then click on layer at the top and then ' Duplicate into '

A pop will appear and then click on ' Destination ' and select the one where your frame is [ for me it's New Project.psd, I was too lazy to name it LMAO ]

Boom ! There's Ishy with all her frames in a nice folder :D

Now, if your gif is like mine where it's too small or too big, use the transformation tool to fit and arrange ! [ Edit > Free Transform ]

Now, click on the layer the frame is on, and then select the wand tool on the side. Then click on the area where you want your gif to show up

Click on the folder where it has the frames of your gif, then click on 'Layer' at the very top, go down to ' Raster Mask ' and click on ' Reveal Selection '

Boom ! Here is Ishy in her little frame :3

To save it, go to ' File ' at the top then down to ' Export as ' and choose GIF

And all done !

✩ okay so first- I start off with a bit of an owl shaped upper lip (the higher the curve part is, the more visible I make the gums,) then I sketch in how wide I’d like the mouth to be.

✩ next I’ll add in the general idea for the teeth, then add in the gums.

✩ and then I shape in the teeth, tongue and add more details to make the mouth a bit more expressive- then bam! mouth is complete :D✨

✩ here are some other quick mouths with the same technique !^^ hope this helps 😁✨!!

maybe weird hyper specific question! what dpi/canvas dimensions do you use on procreate?

i find their resolutions a little finicky to work with but your art always is so crispy when you zoom in! i was just curious what you use 🫶���

not a weird question at all and i’m always happy to share/help/yap about art ^^

i use 300 dpi for all my work and these are the canvas dimensions i tend to use, though sometimes i end up changing them depending on my art (i’m prone to sketch dumps so it keeps growing haha)

just a few notes:

- most of these are optimized for Twitter, which has always been my main art sharing platform. “twit-2” is if for sharing 2 images, and “16:9” is for 4 images.

- the “🍰” is like an in-between resolution between full sized portrait and square that I kinda like—not too big, not too small :)

- the rest of these i picked up from various artists and art tutorials over the years. “character design” in particular is for fun if you want to create poses and explore outfits and full body expressions for characters - keeps things organized and focused

sooo to get custom colors for text on tumblr, i edit the html of a post and use a hex code (this pink is #ff6494) (and color-hex.com to find hex codes) and first i color the text in base pink then i go into the html and look for the text underlined as "npf_color_niles" and replace this piece of text: <span class="npf_color_niles"> with this instead: <span style="color: #hexcode">

i suck at explanations i hope this makes sense... 🙈

Hello! I'm so glad you like them! I actually got really hungry myself while converting those cake models, haha😋

Since I couldn't quite understand the tutorials, I had to start by making them as replacements. But recently, I met an amazing teacher, Bietjie, who has been patiently guiding me through every step of the process.

I think I'll start by creating non-replacement cakes with matching slice models to see how it goes. If everything goes smoothly, I'll give making recipes a try!
