assuming reader is the same age as megumi, they would have been around 5ish when suguru massacred the village. they don’t remember much, but satoru would often tell them stories of the times he snuck them into jujutsu high to meet suguru and shoko (though it was mostly to see just how much he could do without yaga noticing).

he would tell them how much suguru cared for them despite only knowing them a short while (perhaps he was just really good with kids?) nonetheless, it hurt when the night parade of 100 demons was over and suguru was killed. satoru, for once, laid his emotions bare, feeling as though reader was the only one who would truly understand what he was going through despite having never gone through it themselves.

they know how much killing suguru, satoru’s boyfriend best friend hurt the strongest sorcerer, and, just like yuta, the refused to let him go through it again.
