One thing about PDA (pathological demand avoidance/persistent drive for autonomy) is that living is a demand. All of the necessities for maintaining life are demands. Staying alive is literally a series of neverending demands. I can never stop eating or I will die. I can never stop drinking fluids or I will die. I can never stop maintaining a basic level of hygiene because it's necessary for health and comfort. I can never stop cleaning in order to keep my spaces functional enough to meet all the other demands that keep me alive. Regardless of how burnt out or tired I am, regardless of how badly my PDA is triggered, regardless of how fatigued my body is or how bad my executive dysfunction is on top of all that PDA, I still have to meet those demands to live. Just staying alive when your brain is like this is constantly being triggered and burnt out by the basic demands of life.

Yes 100 percent yes. If u have only seen it on tumblr check out my twitter (@emilyriordan5) where ive been updating more pages past what ive posted here. I had been doing a page a week or a page every 2 or 3 days depending on how impatient i got lol, but in the past few weeks i took a break from updating cus 1. Im visiting a friend in another country r now 2. My part time job upped my hours and i wanna prioritize that cus i need the scratch 3. The next few months im gonna be working very hard on some animation production projects to fix my portfolio up to apply for a fellowship (ill be posting the work i do on that btw) 4. The next few months I'll also probs be very preoccupied with figuring out some stuff for a medical thing. 5. Family stüff

Ill be posting more pages soon tho, i have some partially finished ones i intend to polish as im traveling back home. The comic itself is gonna be 60 pages or so (it may balloon out to like 70, i keep on finding stuff to add lol) script is complete, thumbnail are partially complete etc.

There's no way in hell im not finishing this, i love the script too much and i wanna share it in the optimal way as a lot of it is contingent on visual communication. If i ever do give up the ghost on this project id probably at least post the script so ppl would know where i was going with the comic, but my intention as of right now is to complete it at my own pace. I thank you for your patience and interest!

I daydream about Gemini AU and one idea I had was that after leaving the Nexus and becoming slightly less codependent, the twins take up independent titles? Like, instead of both being Gemini, Leo becomes Meteor and Donnie becomes Nova or some other astrological name. Not very likely, considering they both seem to be genuinely proud of being Gemini together despite everything, but I thought I'd share this with you.

Oooh, this is kind of a fun thought? Also I'm just absolutely flattered that you daydream about Gemini the idea that there are other people in the world spending time thinking bout my silly turtles absolutely baffles me ; w ; On one hand, I feel like they, at least currently, love being Gemini and sharing a title. They're so incredibly proud of their career as Gemini. But once they leave the Nexus and stop being so codependent, I think they're probably gonna be a lot more likely to sort of... recognize it for what it is? Something used to manipulate them and a part of their mother's attempts to capitalize off of them and control them. And it'll be very hard, because they are Gemini, it's such a huge part of their identity, how do they let that go...? But at the same time, how can they still be Gemini and heal at the same time?

In addition to this, there'll be at least a period where they... aren't performers anymore. (Which is gonna be super hard for them to cope with as well...) If they're not longer fighting in the Nexus, what use do they actually have for a stage name? Why have people call them anything but Donatello or Leonardo...?

(... But I think there will come a time when they eventually pick up an alias again. And I really like the idea of them each having their own names, but still matching...!)

One of the best things about One Piece is that, no matter how much the pirates HATE each other, how many rivalries, blood feuds and whatnot, you can still expect everyone to show up for the final fight.

Why? Because the Celestial Dragons are universally hated and nobody would pass up on the opportunity of overthowing them.

Leave the rivalries for tomorrow, now there are a bunch of filthy and coinceited slavers to beat.

Dollars trilogy fandom event warmup 2: Prop (Manco's wrist thing).

It was a uneventful and not very busy Thursday, and not having any projects that he was desperate to finish that very day, Oskar had fallen asleep in his chair. He was awakened by something tapping his shin and blinked up to find a tall stranger there, poking him curiously with a boot.

Oskar bolted upright and, still half asleep, rattled off a reflexive "HELLO and what can I help you with?"

The stranger smiled. He looked amused at having caught him asleep. Oskar was irritated. Otherwise, the man was handsome, in a bony, dusty sort of way, wearing a poncho tossed back over one shoulder.

"What can you make?"

Oskar, still shaking off the sleep, wasn't sure how to respond. He made a variety of leather goods, they were listed on the sign out front, he doubted the guy had walked in here not knowing what store he was coming into. But pointing that out to customers wasn't the best way to make a sale.

"Could you make a glove?" the stranger asked then. Oh thank God, something specific.

"Yes! Might not be the prettiest, but sure, I could do that."

"I don't need pretty." The stranger held out his right hand, which was bandaged with thickly wound strips of cloth. "I need something tight to brace up my wrist. Did something to it awhile back and it hasn't healed up right, it's a bit weak when I fire my gun. The fabric is too soft to be much use unless I wrap it thick enough that it gets in the way."

"Huh, alright, yeah. I could do that. Come over here."

The man unwound his bandage and Oskar measured his wrist and hand--he had big bony hands, which he held with a ballet dancer's lightness of gesture. Oskar didn't doubt they were skilled with that gun. He drew up a rough design for the brace and talked it over with him.

"If I close it with laces on the outside, it'll allow a slight bit of adjustment, so you can make it tighter when you need more support or looser if you don't, or if you hurt it again and it swells."

"Sounds good."

The stranger sat and watched him make it instead of leaving, which always made him nervous, but he managed not to do anything wrong this time. The wrist brace was a perfect fit the first time, the stranger put it on and smiled.

He paid the price Oskar had decided on without argument and added a tip. Decent fellow, at least if you had no reason to meet his gun.
