This was such a anticlimactic end but i hope you get what i mean. Reader doesn't start liking him until monthsss after the reunion. Sukuna still seeing her as his first love/crush except he's not a weirdo about it anymore. And cause he probably just threw all his focus on taking over the family business (this is canon gege told me)

Literally i lowk fw this idea sooo hard... like childhood bully that grows up around you, little sukuna has always been a harrassing you ever since youve moved into the neighbourhood, and it carries over into highschool as well...

Its like, to the point where you have personal beef with him, always ready to square up when he's around...

but the fact that he never has his lackeys with him when he does bully you, and the one time someone did try to give you some silly treatment while he was watching, he gave him the beating of his life behind closed doors...

Sukuna having silly wet dreams of you and then being extra mean the next day. You retaliate physically, giving dainty little punches and kicks, you know, the kind that does zero damage, but for some reason he backs off easier than usual that day and walks away, muttering something under his breath, something that you can't quite hear clearly.

after all those years of pretending to hate you by calling you names and teasing you relentlessly, sukuna has the gall to confess right after graduation. he just blurts it out kind of accidentally, in the spur of the moment, because he feels like it'll be his last chance to ever come true with his feelings.

except, he ends up getting the scolding of his life, as you tell him off for the pestering way he's treated you, only for him to turn around and tell you he has feelings for you?! you tell him that it was cowardly of him, and he should take this as a lesson to treat the people he likes better, before turning on your heel and leaving him in the dust. you're his first love, and also his first heartbreak.

couple of years later, there's a highschool reunion happening, and although you wanted to avoid it because of the awkwardness of having to meet sukuna, you still ended up going because you really miss your old highschool friends.

you're at a nice restaurant with your buddies, enjoying your time, yet also noticing sukuna's missing presence in the back of your mind... you probably think he's not coming to avoid you. not that you care for it.

things were going smoothly, but then he eventually did show up. late to the party, as if he were the protagonist... everyone goes silent for a moment when he shows up, because he's arguably changed the most out of you all...

the rather bold tattoos done all over his body, piercings, and the black nail polish, how much he's bulked up in muscle. and that black button-up shirt is... well, very erotic. no longer that awkward, juvenile teenager you've always pictured him as. sukuna was never ugly per se, but goodness, this kind of glow up was really unexpected. and it turned out that he ended up taking over his family business, which kept him quite busy the past few years.

you catch his eye for a moment across the table, but you quickly look the other way. maybe he might've gotten hotter over the years, but you're not sure about that damn personality of his.

it seemed like he was finding it difficult to approach you in front of everyone else - he chases after you only when the meeting is over, and everyone had begun to go home. you feel a little nervous about the encounter, but the first thing he does is apologise, which gets you feeling a lot better about him as a person. sometimes, time does change a person.

and then sukuna tells you he wants to take you out for a meal, and asks you for your number... your old, easygoing self takes over for a moment. certainly a meal or two wouldn't hurt, would it?

Season Four of The Umbrella Academy was really really something for me because I had disliked lila since the very second they first introduced her. I remember being actively relieved when the show confirmed my suspicions about her, because i had felt a bit bad at first for judging her for no tangible reason.

I never really warmed up to her, in fact i actively hated her by the end of season two (which only went on to get 50x worse in season three with the whole he's our son / just kidding / whoops he's dead / haha im pregnant by the way thing) and then of course season four happened.

I actually almost kinda liked mom!lila. I was like oh, she can be human. She CAN be likeable. Maybe, just maybe, she's not a monster. I liked her new dynamic with Diego, and i enjoyed seeing her being a stressed, caring, normal mom and having a mundane life...for about two seconds. Then the whole 'book club / not book club / let him think I'm CHEATING on him' thing happened, and i was swiftly reminded that there was a reason i didn't like Lila.

Then she gets a power. It was actually a chance for her to be interesting and have character growth beyond just being a mom and wife. They could have used her to show what it's like when marigold interacts with someone who's never before had powers; they could have had some kind of fun training montage, like they did with Klaus and Reginald in season three when he discovered his immortality; and they SHOULD have done something of consequence with it, like having her accidentally hurt someone, or damage something important, idfk but, like, literally fucking anything!!!????!!!!???!!!!??? 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Instead, they just gave her stupid useless eye lasers that she uses about three times, can't control at all, and never comes up again. And it feels like they did it because they knew Lila was a weak character that couldn't stand on her own without the context of the rest of the umbrella academy, so they had to kinda 'even out the playing field' somewhat, even if it defied any and all logic and reason.*

Which, in my case at least, was an unfortunate choice. The one thing I'd actually somewhat liked about Lila was that, despite her personality and history, she was, for all intents and purposes, just an average human. I like seeing regular people in shows about abnormal folk. They give a nice context to the chaos, even if they too are 'chaotic' characters, you know?

Just when I thought she couldn't get worse.........well. I don't think i have to explain what happened. It was so much worse because Five had always been one of my favourite characters and OH MY GOD,,,,,,, HE WOULD NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER DO THAT! HE WOULD NOT DO THAT???? And you know I'm not just saying that in a delusional 'i know him better than the writers do' fan way, because pretty much everyone is in agreement.

He LITERALLY would not fucking do that. ESPECIALLY with Lila, who he's always disliked at best and actively tried to KILL at worst, and especially not now that she's his BROTHER'S WIFE and not to mention the MOTHER OF HIS BROTHER'S CHILDREN????

Anyway, that was my final nail. I no longer just hated Lila and passively wished she hadn't been added to the show, I wanted her dead. I wanted her to be killed off, or have something happen where five returned to the correct timeline but Lila couldn't for some reason, I just wanted her gone and SOON. I think it was probably what killed season four for most people, not just me. I think that if Lila had never existed, or at least hadn't made it to season four, or hadn't gone with five and................

If that hadn't happened, I think it could have been salvageable, even despite the one million and one problems with the season.

TL;DR: I genuinely, truly, deeply believe that the main issue with season four of the umbrella academy was the overarching existence of one 'Lila Pitts.'

(Don't even get me started on her almost jeopardising everything at the last moment in the final episode. I almost broke something in sheer frustration, because OH MY GOD we literally don't have time for this the world is ending infinitely and your life is not more important than the life of a single slug muchless the lives of BILLIONS of people- deep breaths, dustyn. Deep breaths.)

Aislynn's Jumble of Random Thinky Thoughts on Halo s2 ep4 "Reach"

SPOILERS, but of course

Cpt Admiral Keyes went out like a total badass. I really do hate to lose him but I'm glad he got a better send-off than he did in the game (Halo: Combat Evolved). Seeing him with a pipe was an awesome little callback to the game, IMO. (Though smoking is bad; don't smoke, kids! 👎😬😉)

The fact that The Powers That Be took Silver Team's Mjolnir with them as they ran like cowards evacuated but abandoned actual Silver Team is the most realistic bureaucratic part of the episode. 🙄

I suspected Louis wasn't going to survive but him losing Danilo and then choosing to make that stand immediately after was both heartbreaking but bittersweet: he couldn't live without his beloved and his sacrifice gave John and Riz a chance to escape but also ensured that he didn't have to live long without his beloved. 💔

My Halo vehicle fangirling was cranked up to 117% 😇 here, with me pausing the show to yell, "WRAITH, IT'S A WRAITH! I love hijacking those things!!!" and then "SCORPION! A SCORPION TANK! Aw, man, I do BUSINESS when I have a Scorpion!" *wistful, lovestruck sigh* 💖 Please imagine my dad's 🤔⁉️ face during all of that, lol! 😇

I was legit upset that Kai was gone the entire ep, not just 'cause I wanted to see her, of course, but because it seems an awful lot like she abandoned her team and that just doesn't seem like her at all. I know last ep she was very torn and upset about John and not really believing what he was saying, but also not wanting to narc him out, either. When she finds out what happened to Vannak, I think she'll blame herself for not being there and, honestly? I think she should. (Same as she should feel bad about not believing John, evidence to the contrary.) Not saying she could've prevented any of the bad stuff, of course, but she wasn't there when Silver Team desperately needed her and if they don't have her feel guilt over that, then that's really going to be OOC for her, IMO. 😔

And then of course, the "two" of the "one-two punch" from this ep... Vannak, nooooooooo! I was completely not expecting to lose him here but I really should have, considering we're straight up doing a version of Reach's game storyline and, as we all know, Noble Team didn't make it out of the game alive (other than Jun).

And yet still... Vannak! Not when he's just learned to love animal documentaries and feeding the birds! The big guy had so much more living to do!!! 😭😭😭 I'm going to really miss him and I'm going to completely ignore his death in any fanfic I ever again write, I'm just saying. 🤷‍♀️😉

Are we feeling like Soren will be getting a place on Silver Team, at least temporarily?

Okay, so I was a little surprised but in a good way over how hard everything about Keyes hit Halsey. She was genuinely kinda tongue-tied at seeing him, then her absolutely screaming at his death and her sobbing... I wasn't expecting that sort of reaction. She really did love him and I wouldn't have thought that before this episode.

I feel vaguely like John's ex just kidnapped his current girlfriend, lol. Also, I keep staring at Makee, thinking, "Is her hair a different blonde? Is she dying her eyebrows or something?" more than anything else so I really need to get over that, lol! Annnnnd I could kinda ship her with her Arbiter but nobody should be surprised at that 'cause I can ship a character with a mop that has a wig and googly eyes on it if the chemistry feels right to me...

I could also see not-Thel!Arbiter as being a suuuuper jealous boyfriend trying to prove he's better than Makee's ex... *shipper glasses, I has 'em at all times!* 😜😉

Since Makee didn't let her Arbiter (whose name is escaping me at the moment) go ahead and kill John, one wonders if it was because she does still have feelings for him or if she just needs him for some later nefarious purpose. And why does she need Cortana? I'm still wondering if we're going to get some sort of "evil" Cortana ala Halo 5 since her new look reminds me a lot more of her Halo 5 look.

And bringing things back to the episode once more, I also had a game fangirling moment when John yelled, "Frag out!" as he lobbed the grenade. My dad soon learned that the marines tend to yell that as they're lobbing frag grenades in the various games, too! 😎

Ooo, and almost forgot John's absolute panic eyes when Keyes called him forward during his inspirational speech, lol. Poor Chief, d'aww! But that was a really great moment to show people that Master Chief isn't a robot, he's a flesh and blood person, and I think that was used to great effect in this moment. 💖

My Thoughts on

ESME SHELBY

*spoilers ahead for S1 - S6 of Peaky Blinders*

Ah Esme, how I wish I’d seen more of you. When compared with the other Shelby wives (Linda, Grace, Lizzie), I don’t think Esme was really used as much within the story. She was left more in the background for some reason.

When we first see Esme, she’s being married off to John, apparently because she was a “bit wild”. I love the scene at the wedding when John and Esme first see each other. You can see the pleasant surprise on both of their faces, and this is the beginning of their mutual attraction, because as we see throughout their time together, they really fancied each other.

Was the marriage the right thing for Esme? No. I don’t really think so. Through the marriage, John gains a wife and a new mother for his four children who have been running wild since their birth mother died, an alliance with the Lee family (which Tommy wanted), and if I remember correctly, a car from Esme’s father.

What did Esme gain from the marriage? Well, I suppose we could say that she gains the security of a husband (which was an important thing in that time), albeit John is also quite wild, cheats on her, and is a criminal. She loses her freedom, which was clearly what her family wanted because they didn’t agree with her actions. In that time, going “a bit wild” is probably very tame compared to what people do nowadays. She also gained four young children, that she was now in charge of raising, along with the rest of the Shelby family as her new relatives. I’d never say that she didn’t love her stepchildren - she clearly did, and she took them with her when she left in S4 - but it’s a lot to suddenly become a stepmother to four young children.

The interactions we see between Esme and the Shelby clan (from what I remember) are never overly positive. Sure, she could get along with them decently enough when needed, but she didn’t seem close to anyone.

Her interactions with Polly range from Polly holding a knife to her neck in season 2, to them seemingly getting along well enough to work together - and strike together - in season 3. We don’t see what their relationship was like in the years between S3 and S4, but they clearly never got any closer, as Polly didn’t seem devastated when Esme left after John’s death.

Another Shelby that she shared a few scenes with was Tommy, and I think it would be generous to say that she disliked him. In S2, she seemed to respect him, and spoke at the family meeting about not wanting them to start expanding the business into London. Her reasons were understandable; she was afraid for her husband’s safety and she knew how dangerous London would be. And yet, everybody just brushed her off like she was an idiot.

All she wanted was for her family to go on the road or live in the country and be safe. She tried to convince Tommy that it was the best course of action, and in return, he grabs her face and tells her that if she talks about it again, he’ll cut her from the family. It’s overly harsh and personally, I wanted Esme to slap him when he did that, but of course she didn’t, so oh well. 🤷‍♀️

It seems like she properly hated him after the end of S3, when he almost got John killed. As we see, Esme is always loyal to John and anyone who crosses him, crosses her. She’s protective of the ones she loves, so it isn’t a shocker that she hates Tommy for mistreating him. She even charges at Tommy in the morgue after John’s death, grief riddled and furious.

I can’t remember much about Esme’s appearances in S6, probably because I did not like that season, so I’m not going to speak much on that time or her scenes with Tommy. She doesn’t really have a relationship with Arthur or Ada, so I can’t really say much about them either.

Her relationship with John did seem to become genuine, despite it starting off as an arranged marriage. I’ve seen some people say that John and Esme never loved each other because they didn’t choose each other and they were basically forced to marry each other, but I would say that from what I saw, I do think Esme loved him. (I’ll talk about John’s side of things if I make a post about him). She tried to keep him safe, despite his lifestyle, and when he died, I feel like no one can say that she wasn’t devastated by the loss. That scene right after John is shot dead outside their house where she runs out and lays her head on his shows how heartbroken she was.

Ironically, after wanting to escape to the country for a while because she believed it would be safer and better for her family, their country house is where John dies in S4. I don’t think that she would’ve ever found peace or safety as long as she was married to John and connected to the Shelby’s. She only managed to get the life she wanted for herself and her family after John’s death.

Esme was a strong woman for making that decision to leave the Shelby family. Perhaps it would’ve been easier for her to stay within their circle as John’s widow, but staying would’ve meant being around the family and Esme clearly didn’t want any of them around her children. So, she packed up all six of her kids - not that we ever get an official number or even the names of their kids, but I’m pretty sure that they had six altogether - and went away.

While the loss of her husband was awful, in the end, I’m happy that Esme finally got to make her own decisions about her life, and get her freedom back. When we last saw her in S6, she was on the road with some of her kin, living freely, and I would say that out of all the characters, she probably got one of the best endings.

girl!daniel question! Even if she throws everything out does she maybe keep the earrings max complimented? Maybe wears them when her and max go out on a date or something??

So Daniel 10000% keeps the earrings because when she was doing her big Clean Out they were still scattered in her handbag from when she ripped them off and shoved them in while in tears, and when she finally finds them she's more calm and just places them carefully on her bedside table trying not to think about everything they make her feel.

After her and Max get together, she goes back to wearing them, but teases Max about them and calls them her "definitely not pretty earrings" and each time he huffs and his cheeks darken and he tries to explain that what he meant -

And Daniel will just shake her head and remind him that he very clearly called them pretty but then later took it back and expressively told her that he did not mean it and and and -

And every time she wears them, she gently ribs him about them with a teasing smile until Max begins to call them her Definitely Not Pretty Earrings too.

Being with Max is freeing because he genuinely doesn't really care about how dressed up/baggy her clothes or appearances are, and so in this safety of security Daniel begins to experiment with her feminimity and gender expression, and as long as she stays happy then Max is happy and as long as Max is happy she is happy, but no matter how many crystal bracelets or overlapping necklaces or hippie dresses she invests in, the silver, dangling Definitely Not Pretty earrings remain a staple.

Fast forward. Daniel's having visa issues and airport security is always a pain and hassle and Max is just like 🤷let's just get married🤷 and Daniel is like🤷‍♀️okay why not🤷‍♀️ (while ofc both internally are freaking out because they get to marry each one!!!)

Both agree to do it in secret because neither are really ready to be Married™️ (not Daniel with her complex issues with traditional gender roles and the fact she promised she'd never get married and become "just" a housewife (((✨️the internalised misogyny is back!✨️))) and not Max with his unresolved childhood trauma with marriage and family). So they do it just because it's Rational and Makes Sense, and so Daniel is just beyond surprised when Max presents her with ring. And she is embarrassed because she didn't even think of getting him a ring or anything, but he shrugs and says it does not matter to him.

And the ring is silver and sort of... weird. Like it looks like silver strands of scales woven together, and some parts are thin and some are thick, and Daniel just adores it because it's weird and unusual, and Max chose it for her. She figures he just bought it at some flee market and likes imaging all the lives it lived before reaching hers. And she wears it on her ring finger but on her right hand after they technically get married secretly.

Nothing else changes, but her mother bluntly tells her that her new ring is ugly and her sister says it's looks unfinished or something, and Daniel just laughs, uncaring and happy. And finally, it's her dad, a few years later when she's spending a few weeks at home in Australia. Her dad gives her a look and asks if the ring came with her earrings, and it's only then, finally, that she realises that, of course. They're matching. They're the same. And Max must've had the ring designed specially to match her Definitely Not Pretty earrings.

When she finally gets back to Monaco, she blurts out the question if he did, and he laughs and gives her a funny look and says had she really not noticed, it's been years. That ofc the ring matches her earrings, he had it made specially for her.

Daniel just goes quiet and then tells Max she didn't know, and he laughs and asks what difference does it make? And Daniel kisses him, and then the next time she is at a race, the ring is still on her ring finger, but this time in her left hand, and Max has a matching one too :)))

while i am heavily set on the hc of her being a transgender female ( because look at her and tell me she is cis /j i'm not one of those people i promise ) in mostly everything i make of her , i do understand that she’s most definitely 99.9% if not 100% cis in canon . no doubt honestly ( the 0.01% is my delusional ass hoping i get a trans confirmation from one of my favorite pieces of media of all time )

don't get me wrong though because i know sooo many people would take a short look at my headcanons and go ‘what the fuck is this…?’ , so i just scroll and go on with my day instead of doing what a good majority of the internet loves to do and leave hate comments etc. . no matter how much you don’t like something , nobody deserves or wants a hate comment on something they love and or are proud of . especially if it's harmless !!

i do think a large large large part of the reason i still have some tiny problems with NE exclusively on their own ( they HAVE to be NE [ R ] implied for me to really like them together ) is how they’re portrayed at times , such as the way some people can make them such an insufferable and basic , generic mlw ship or their rude fans ( TWITTER… not everyone on there of course , some NE shippers are really nice esp on here yes nikki i am looking at you but also i haven’t had any bad encounters with an NE shipper on here thank god )

one of these ways is how they portray emma , but even before discovering some things i didn’t like NE , i still don’t think i would particularly go for a scenario where emma carries a child in the future

even though i don’t care for the ways some NE artists have portrayed emma , especially in the future , that’s not what i’m putting on here . in my opinion , that’s not really a valid reason and it’s more of an ‘oh i don’t like the way they did it so it’s wrong and not true to canon because i say so’ type of excuse in my opinion , which i don’t like

in truth i just genuinely don’t think emma would try and aim for that . while she would definitely go through with it for whatever reason ( except to become a mama at gracefield , of course ) , unless it was necessary to give up due to a risk to her own health or the baby’s , it’s just NotmyEmma™️ to me .

that just does not feel like emma in my opinion . i think that if she wanted a kid , she’d much rather prefer to adopt than to bring in a child on her own accord when there’s plenty out there in an orphanage or foster care wanting to be loved . that’s all , sorry for the yap session 😭

Controversial take: I don't think Snape's and Harry's childhood can compared. It's something that I have seen multiple people do and it's something that just doesn't work! It isn't fair for either of them.

Where both abused by their homes? Yes but that's pretty much where that comparison stops. Where Snape is poor Harry is rich, where Snape is not good looking unconventional attractive Harry is just plain "attractive" or average, where Harry received support Snape received further abuse and humiliation, and the list is going on! Of course there are similarities between the two, both played parts in the story that, I think, neither really wanted, the home life, Snape is brilliant... Harry has his moments!

And this isn't to say that either experience in home life is worst or better their are both equally shitty. We shouldn't play who-has-it-worst-Uno, but we equally shouldn't compare their experience, because through all of his tribulations in life Harry still had his friends to count on, Snape didn't.

Trauma shouldn’t be compared, and you shouldn’t pit how they coped against each other with the same ol’ “who doesn’t show any symptoms of abuse handled it better” and then disregard and belittle the other person’s trauma just because it wasn’t as bad. Harry’s trauma might be worse than Sev’s, Sev’s trauma might be worse than Harry’s, but at the end of the day, both of them went through awful shit, and said awful shit changed them both as people. Their traumas are both valid; someone who drowns in 8 feet of water is just as dead as someone who drowned in 20 feet of water. 🤷‍♀️

And besides, the difference between the two of them is that Severus didn’t have support systems. Harry had Ron and Hermione, the Weasleys, Dumbledore (eh), and everyone else to count on (though some people did turn their backs on him at the worst time soo 😬). Severus did not. What about Lily? Well, she ended their friendship at the worst time, she was the last tiny ray of light left in his life. And boom, it was over like that. SWM practically soiled into his path into the dark side, making it almost completely unavoidable.

Nobody asked but that’s never stopped me anyway. So, here’s which queen from every season that I think is most likely to be on a future all stars season (no repeats/winners) with explanations that also no one asked for:

Season 1: Porkchop - I just feel like they’re priming us for her to be on either an AS or early-outs season and I think she deserves it

Season 2: Nicole Paige Brooks - it was between her and Mystique as the only ones left and Nicole has expressed interest in going back for AS, and with Poppy’s reunion look referencing her, she’s back on fans minds

Season 3: Delta Work - out of the queens that haven’t been on, I think she’s the most relevant other than Carmen, who has burned all the bridges between her and wow anyway. idk what standings she’s in but I could see it happening

Season 4: Dida Ritz - I’ve seen people campaigning for her to be on AS for a while now, and she’s always expressed a willingness to go if invited back. And while Willam is more popular, we can all safely assume that’s not happening

Season 5: Lineysha Sparx - like Dida, she had some good highlights but never really got her flowers (I’m noticing a trend here). No offense to Monica, because I am genuinely so excited to see her on AS8, but I am a bit surprised she was picked over her. But I will concede that I don’t know if she’s still active in drag, but a lot of articles had said MBH retired so 🤷‍♀️

Season 6: Joslyn Fox - I like her, I wanna see her back on. But this is one of those cases where out of the remaining queens from that season, she seems like the most likely choice unless the producers want a ‘do it for the meme’ route like with Serena and cast Kelly (who doesn’t need it and has a great resume on her own, but that’s how I imagine a show runner seeing it)

Season 7: Jaidynn Dior Fierce - another queen that fans have pointed out deserve another chance in the spotlight and there have been rumors that she’d been shortlisted once or twice. Kandy Ho was also shortlisted for what I believe was an early-out season, but I feel like between the two, we’ll see Jaidynn first

Season 8: Cynthia Lee Fontaine - this is, of course, contingent on her health being in a strong enough state to take it on, which isn’t a given, unfortunately. So, barring any health problem, I know Ru loves her and would bring her back

Season 9: Peppermint - at this point, I feel like they’re gonna give into peer pressure one of these days and finally cast her. I think a lot of fans feel that it’s long overdue

Season 10: Asia O’Hara - the only reason I put her as more likely than Kameron is because (I think) she’s expressed more interest in going back. But both of them did the Vegas show for a while so wow definitely likes them and is probably keeping tabs on them

Season 11: Vanessa ‘Vanjie’ Mateo - I feel like this is one of the more obvious ones, to the point where I’m actually surprised it hasn’t happened yet. My theory is that they’re waiting to bring her back when producers know she’ll go far (unlike with 11 where there were a lot of highs and lows without people really seeing her as ‘winner material’). I will, however, acknowledge the possibility that someone like Nina or Plastique could be cast before her

Season 12: Crystal Methyd - like Vanjie and Cynthia, it’s clear Ru loves her and production likely wants her back. That said, I do think she’s one of the queens that wants to put a little more time between her original season and AS, but there’s no other obvious choice. And knowing what I do know about AS shortlists, there’s a chance Rock or Dahlia may precede her if they do go an early-outs route

Season 13: Denali Foxx - again, I don’t know if she’ll be the next s13 queen to go on for the same reasons as Crystal, but I don’t doubt it’s inevitability with how much of a fan favorite she is. If I saw anyone getting cast before her, it could be Kahmora (see above) or Utica

Season 14: Any of the four runner-ups - I know, kind of a cop-out. But here’s the thing, the obvious answer is Kornbread, but she’s said she doesn’t want to go back for AS, but wanted to get another chance to compete in a regular season (which she should’ve!!!). So, Daya, Bosco, Camden, and Angeria all seem more or less equally likely if you mix both the fandom and production standpoints

Season 15: Mistress Isabelle Brooks - also kind of early to call, of course. But I’m not talking about who will be the first/next queen of a season to do AS, just who I feel like stands a good chance of being on one at some point. And I’m so sure they’re gonna wanna bring her back

Have you heard the new beyond the grid episode with Guenther yet? It's interesting to hear him describe Kevin - even calling him too calm sometimes. Shows how tough 2019 really was for him to lose his temper that badly at Silverstone and maybe also that DTS has painted a very one-sided picture 🤷‍♀️

I'm not really surprised, Kevin does seem like a guy who's pretty calm and collected.

hi! yes, i listened to it but i'm not really surprised by this. i have always seen k-mag as being calm, but i think he does lose his temper if he feels unfairly treated and i relate to that. there is barely anything on this earth that can make me lose my temper, but being accused of something i did not do will make me absolutely lose it. kevin still maintains to this day that romain was at fault for the moment that led to the infamous "he does not fok smash my door!" moment. it's clear that kevin does really like guenther, but this is probably one of the few times that guenther has let him down and k-mag was understandably upset. this is also why i take kevin's accusations seriously, he never deals them out lightly. if kevin gets angry then there is usually a good reason for it. if you watch his post-race interviews after being run into, he is usually just like "shit happens" and does not tear into whoever put him out of the race. of course, he can get heated on the radio, but if you put a microphone in my car while driving on the highway, i can assure you that some not-so-nice things are being said about the other drivers too.

however, i also noted that he said that kevin was sometimes too calm. it is interesting because luna, the danish reporter, said that one of the reasons why nico hulkenberg is replacing mick is to challenge kev. she said that guenther believes kevin might have gotten too complacent as the season has progressed. and k-mag himself has said that he looks forward to the competition between them. i think he needs that to be fully motivated. i genuinely do believe kevin is fuelled by pettiness and competitiveness, i think perhaps he was too fond of mick to really be motivated in that regard. honestly, i think kev just drives better if he doesn't really like his teammate and wants to one-up him. kev and grosjean did not get along personally until 2019 and kev's best season was 2018. coincidence? i think not!

thank you for your genuine answer! i’ve been finding hard to communicate with the fandom because people are either hating the situation or eating it up so it’s always both opposite extremes. a lot of people say stas is hated but from what i’ve seen, especially on twitter and instagram, she’s actually more loved than kat? she gets drowned in compliments, people worship her, they kiss her ass and hype her up for the most mediocre or mundane things (and i don’t mean that as hate) ever, some even call her “bestie” and have constant interactions with her. you did bring up shea being in group chats (i only recently found out about that while getting in the tea loop but didn’t pay a lot of attention to that particular fact) and it now is making me wonder, giving the similarities and another fact i just found out (stas willingly sharing personal information abt the group, such as their location), if stas isn’t on group chats as well, but ones that are more lowkey and with people that kiss her ass? it could make sense, but i digress.

i’m just finding this weird overall, like it started out of nowhere and now both of them are making this bigger and bigger and bigger by only posting each other and so on? like doesn’t that feel… weird to you, in a way? their posts have always been more “group” focused, group pictures, etc and now all of a sudden we’re being slammed left and right with those two only?

There are a lot of extreme reactions to this whole situation, and let's be honest- it's all down to Colby. Stas is involved with Colby in a way that is supposedly "open to interpretation." That's a hair trigger for a good chunk of the fandom, lol.

Stas does get some pretty polarizing things said about her a result- I've seen some brutal hate, thanks to her association with Colby, and I've seen some idolization that they could build churches around. Some of that love stems from the fans that just really, really, really want to see Colby in a wedding tux lol, but some of it does stem from how she treats the fans themselves. She engages with them quite a bit, encourages them...and I said it the other day, but that's a BIG thing with the social media stans. They are looking for someone to see them, and for someone who they can connect to. They're almost looking for a supportive older sibling type, and they're finding it in the most random of social media types- Stas included.

I know she is indirectly the reason that some of their whereabouts have been leaked, which is not cool and is something that snc should definitely deal with at some point. I don't know if she is active in any gc's, but I wouldn't be surprised. I'm hoping she isn't pulling a Shea and giving out private information that isn't hers to give out- and honestly, I don't think she is, because that information would've been leaked by now (if there is one thing I've learned about fandoms over the years, its that nobody can keep a secret lmao)....but who knows, at this point.

As far as her and Colby posting a lot of content of the two of them...eh. They do spend 90% of their days hanging out with Kat and Sam, who are an actual couple who have been together for like 300 years now. They're bound to be spending a lot more time paired off together as a result of that. 🤷‍♀️

I do think they know people enjoy Stas and Colby content, that it gets people talking, and so they aren't shy about posting content of the two of them together anymore, for that reason. That would be totally fine, except when they step over the line, throw gasoline on a fire on purpose, get everyone all in a tizzy, and then skidaddle. That's where they lose me in this whole thing.

Amber and Colby, imo, have perfected the whole "posting content that playfully encourages the shipping while simultaneously making sure everyone knows its all in good fun and not to be taken seriously or used to start fandom wars or get everyone all riled up" thing. That's the kind of pot stirring I can appreciate.

Nabrinafest Day 2

1. What is your favorite moment from part 1?

I genuinely love all the part one interactions because of how it would later set everything up and I can’t really choose just ONE but I really do enjoy the scene in Sabrina’s dream where she dreams of Nick asking her to prom and to run away with him. I find it so amusing cause they had literally known each other for one or two days now and Sabrina was so into him already that she was dreaming of him asking her to leave her wedding to the supposed love of her life at the time and I mean she never did say no did she 🤷‍♀️ and of course the choir scene was just iconic.

2. Are there any scenes you wish had been expanded on in part 1?

I would have loved to see Nick walk Sabrina to class maybe after the lunch table scene and Nick actually being in the Christmas episode would have been fun.

You knew people didn’t want you here, although they didn’t show it when he was near, it became all too obvious as soon as you were alone. You could feel their distasteful stares, practically burning into the back of your head. Their not so quiet whispering about you. The occasional moment of someone roughly brushing against you with a cruel comment. You’ve experienced it all, yet you couldn’t blame them. You knew coming here, being with him, wouldn’t get the approval of the Wakandan people. They didn’t like outsiders, that much was obvious with their previous fights with letting outsiders inside Wakanda. You dating their king, wasn’t going to get their approval. No matter how much you two loved each other.

“Sithandwa sam, are you alright? Is there something wrong?”

Hearing T’Challa’s voice all of a sudden made you jump. You hadn’t heard him come in, being caught up in your thoughts. You turn around from your place at the balcony and put on a fake smile. You didn’t want T’Challa to worry, he already did a lot.

“I'm alright, T. I was just caught up in the view you get here. I still can’t believe how beautiful it is here in Wakanda.”

“Hmm, I have to disagree. That isn’t the only beautiful view in Wakanda.” T’Challa says, walking towards you and gently embracing you. You wrap your arms around his waist and curiously glance up at him,

“Really? Then what’s the other beautiful view?”

“You are, Y/N. You are the most beautiful view here and I am honored to call you mine. To have you become my wife and queen.”

T’Challa finishes saying, looking into your eyes and smiling wide. You can’t help but genuinely smile back, unable to fake a smile after hearing those words full of love. You begin to reply,

“I’m honored also to be yours and-“

The bedroom doors abruptly opened and through them came Shuri. You both startled apart and turn towards her. She looked ecstatic, practically bouncing on her way to the both of you.

“My king, Y/N! Why are you two in here?! You two should be preparing! Y/N, you haven't even begun to do your hair! Or makeup! And you, T’Challa! Come with me, you have to get prepared also! Do you even know what you’re going to say for your king speech?! It is not everyday that our king T’Challa has an engagement party! Everything has to be perfect!” Shuri enthusiastically said, waving her arms around and coming to a stop in front of you two. T’Challa and you glanced at each other and then back towards her.

Of course, you had forgotten about the party tonight. Shuri had began to plan an engagement party after T’Challa had announced that you two were going to get married. She had been so happy that day, having joked about it several times with you. She was the only one who was happy with you dating T’Challa, other than Okoye. If you were being honest, you couldn’t believe that T’Challa had asked you to marry him. The Wakandan king asking an outsider to marry him. You also couldn’t believe that Okoye had given her approval on you being with T’Challa. Okoye was Dora Milaje and disliked outsiders. Another reason why you couldn’t believe it was because she was Nakia’s best friend. The best friend of your fiancé’s ex. And she had given you her approval. It couldn’t be true but yet it was. She had come to you one day when you were in the garden alone and began explaining how she had seen the love between you two, and so you being an outsider didn’t bother her as long as you didn’t hurt T’Challa.

“Of course, I know what I am going to say. I will come with you. I need your opinion on some parts of the speech. Sithandwa sam, I will see you tonight at our party.”

T’Challa says, turning the two of you a further bit away from Shuri. He gently wraps an arm around your waist, pulling you to him and puts his other hand on your jaw. Caressing your cheek, he bends forward, kisses you on the lips and then on the forehead. He looks into your eyes and says,

“I love you, Y/N. My beautiful soon to be wife. My queen, you will look so beautiful tonight, as you do everyday.”

“I love you too, T’Challa. Thank you, although you’re the beautiful one.” You say, chuckling and kissing him again. T’Challa begins to chuckle as well and begins to open his mouth,

“Come on, T’Challa! We do not have time for you two to be all lovely dovey now! You two have to get ready for tonight!”

Shuri says, again interrupting your moment. You sigh, knowing she’s right. Tonight’s a big event and you both have to be prepared and ready for it. You step back from T’Challa and start walking towards the bedroom and into the bathroom.

Shutting the bathroom door, you can hear them still talking and walking to the doors. Once their voices and steps fade out, you close your eyes and lean back into the bathroom door.

“Fuck. I don’t even know what to wear!”

In the end, you chose a beautiful f/c gown. It fit your form perfectly. In this gown, you doubted that T’Challa would leave your side for one bit. Unless, she was there. Which would most likely happen. Everyone knew her so there was no reason for her not to be there. She would no doubt want to see T’Challa. Talk to him. Spend time with him. Smile and laugh with him.

She was beautiful. Smart, funny, always helping out others. While she didn’t believe in Wakanda’s isolationist policy regarding outsiders, you two didn’t get along. She had one thing that you wish you had and although it was just one, it was the most important. She was Wakandan. You were not. Just that fact alone, made her seem perfect for T’Challa. At least in Wakandan people’s view, except for Shuri and Okoye. While the people didn’t like you, they loved her. She had everything that they wanted in a spouse for T’Challa. And they made sure that you knew it.

Swallowing down the insecurity and fear creeping into your throat, you look towards the mirror one last time. Making sure there were no wrinkles in the gown, your makeup and hair done perfectly. You did a twirl, shoving the negative thoughts to the back of your mind.

Tonight is both T’Challa’s and yours. Not hers or anyone else’s. You were going to marry him. Y/N Y/LN were going to marry him, not anyone else. T’Challa and Y/N.

You kept repeating the words in your head as you grabbed your clutch and stepped through the bedroom doors.

Shuri says, gently embracing you as not to wrinkle both of your gowns. She had on a long flowy violet gown with her hair done in a updo. Keeping her makeup minimal, she looked ever the beautiful princess.

“Thank you, Shuri. You look like a princess in that gown, so different from the regular you.” You say, chuckling as you remember what she usually wears. Shuri chuckles also, realizing that you’re talking about her always muttering to herself as she hurriedly walks around the lab inventing things. She interlocks her arm with yours and walks you both towards the entrance of the party.

Almost all of Wakanda is here, though it’s mostly the tribe leaders with their families. Music and chatter sound all throughout the room. Some people are sitting and talking, while others are dancing. Everyone looks to be having a good time, you think to yourself and smile.

”Do you know where T’Challa is?”

”Oh, he has to be around here somewhere. Before I met you at the entrance, he told me he was going to go around and talk with the leaders.”

You hum back in reply, glancing around trying to spot him. There’s too many people for you to see him, from your place by Shuri. You turn towards her,

”Do you mind if I go looking for him? I want to catch him by surprise and see his reaction.”

“It’s alright. Go ahead, Y/N. I have to go find my mother anyway. I’ll see you back at our table.” Shuri says, nodding and walking away.

You turn back and start walking around, trying to find him. You have briefly walked around a bit before you spot him.

You freeze. There in front of you, is T’Challa. With her. Nakia. They’re both sitting at a table talking. Just talking. But it looks so much more to you. Her hand is resting on top of his hand that's on the table while her other hand rests on his thigh. Her face is leaned far too close to his face. He has a look of serious calmness but she has on a sultry smile. While he may just be talking to her, she’s flirting with him. You can feel anger filling you and warmth spreading throughout your body. You refuse to believe what’s in front of you. How dare they! How dare she! You start walking towards them when you freeze again.

The people around you are pointing at them and smiling at each other. They glance towards T’Challa and Nakia with looks of approval. Of course, approval. Because why would the people of Wakanda not want their Wakandan king with a Wakandan woman. You’re the outsider, they never wanted you with him to begin with. They’ve only ever pushed the two of them closer while they’ve tried to separate you from T’Challa.

You flee from the room.

”Why did you leave the party so suddenly like that? What are you doing? Y/N? Why are you packing up your things? Talk to me! Y/N!”

T’Challa gently grabbing your arm and turning you back around towards him, finally stops you from shoving your clothes into your suitcases. You glance up at him, your eyes widening. He look more stressed and worried than you’ve ever seen him. But he also looked afraid.

You raise a hand up to his face, cupping his cheek and leaned towards his face. You stare into his eyes,

“I can’t do this anymore. I’m sorry but I can’t. I have to go.”

Don't let any lost followers get to you. That follower you mentioned may have completely different reasons for unfollowing than you might think.

For many of us, fandom is an escape from a shitty reality, and it's understandable if a trans person doesn't want to see reminders of transphobia, including posts that defend trans people.

I unfollow fandom blogs who start posting about certain social issues not because I disagree, but because it's simply too taxing to constantly be reminded of all the bad in the world.

They also simply could have misclicked unfollow by accident!

Losing followers isn’t that big a surprise to me, this isn’t the first time something similar’s happened. But I got upset because it was that one specific person—who’s not only trans but also whose blog I really enjoy.

I agree with what you’ve said: People definitely don’t like seeing constant reminders of things they’re hated/oppressed for, I certainly don’t. But I think I should’ve clarified more in the tags; they defended her. They were understanding about it and of course I don’t have any problem with that, but the issue I have is… they’re able to empathise with her and forgive her, but the fact that they also unfollowed me after this implies I’ve done something wrong. So the issue I have is, if you can empathise with what she did, then why can you not understand why I reacted the way I did? I know I sound like a fucking child right now but this has been bothering me too much (there’ve been other instances like this) to stay quiet. This has happened many times before, when anything’s happened with another tumblr blog and I genuinely am in need of support, 99% of them turn their backs on me. 🤷‍♀️

How do people want me to go about the situation? “You know what, Ladykardasi? You’re right, I’m SO sorry for trying to defend trans people! I totally shouldn’t have informed you that it was offensive to imply trans men aren’t “genuine” men! 🥰 and I should TOTALLY forgive you for calling me a bitch and trying to silence me after you supposedly did nothing wrong! ☺️” Is this what people want me to say? I’m not trans nor am I a male, and even I found that hurtful. If people can forgive her, then why not me? I’m not forcing anyone to continue following me—nor am I refusing to unfollow someone after they asked, unlike a certain someone :)—or even like me, but please just understand where I’m coming from.

That being said, I’m not even angry at the person who unfollowed me, nor do I resent them; I’m just upset and very confused.

I honestly don’t want to know why they unfollowed me—because of my attempted defence of trans folks, or because of my blog as a whole. I don’t think either answer will make me feel any better.
