My 10 All-time Fave Anime
I first wanna get it out there that there is still a lot of anime I plan to watch and have yet to finish. This current top 10 all-time fave list is based from anime I have completed. I am currently watching a lot of anime, so this list could potentially change!
Each synopsis comes from MyAnimeList. Here’s my profile if you’re interested, and feel free to send a friend request!
Anyway, onto the list! This is not in order btw, just 10 titles!
My 10 All-time Fave Anime
1. Given (2019)
Tumblr media
Tightly clutching his Gibson guitar, Mafuyu Satou steps out of his dark apartment to begin another day of his high school life. While taking a nap in a quiet spot on the gymnasium staircase, he has a chance encounter with fellow student Ritsuka Uenoyama, who berates him for letting his guitar’s strings rust and break. Noticing Uenoyama’s knowledge of the instrument, Satou pleads for him to fix it and to teach him how to play. Uenoyama eventually agrees and invites him to sit in on a jam session with his two band mates: bassist Haruki Nakayama and drummer Akihiko Kaji.
Satou’s voice is strikingly beautiful, filling Uenoyama with the determination to make Satou the lead singer of the band. Though reticent at first, Satou takes the offer after an emotional meeting with an old friend. With the support of his new friends, Satou must not only learn how to play guitar, but also come to terms with the mysterious circumstances that led him to be its owner.
2. Rurouni Kenshin (1996)
Tumblr media
In the final years of the Bakumatsu era lived a legendary assassin known as Hitokiri Battousai. Feared as a merciless killer, he was unmatched throughout the country, but mysteriously disappeared at the peak of the Japanese Revolution. It has been ten peaceful years since then, but the very mention of Battousai still strikes terror into the hearts of war veterans.
Unbeknownst to them, Battousai has abandoned his bloodstained lifestyle in an effort to repent for his sins, now living as Kenshin Himura, a wandering swordsman with a cheerful attitude and a strong will. Vowing never to kill again, Kenshin dedicates himself to protecting the weak. One day, he stumbles across Kaoru Kamiya at her kendo dojo, which is being threatened by an impostor claiming to be Battousai. After receiving help from Kenshin, Kaoru allows him to stay at the dojo, and so the former assassin temporarily ceases his travels.
Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan tells the story of Kenshin as he strives to save those in need of saving. However, as enemies from both past and present begin to emerge, will the reformed killer be able to uphold his new ideals?
3. Assassination Classroom (2015)
Tumblr media
When a mysterious creature chops the moon down to a permanent crescent, the students of class 3-E of Kunugigaoka Middle School find themselves confronted with an enormous task: assassinate the creature responsible for the disaster before Earth suffers a similar fate. However, the monster, dubbed Koro-sensei (the indestructible teacher), is able to fly at speeds of up to Mach 20, which he demonstrates freely, leaving any attempt to subdue him in his extraterrestrial dust. Furthermore, the misfits of 3-E soon find that the strange, tentacled beast is more than just indomitable—he is the best teacher they have ever had.
Adapted from the humorous hit manga by Yuusei Matsui, Ansatsu Kyoushitsu tells the story of these junior high pupils as they polish their assassination skills and grow in order to stand strong against the oppressive school system, their own life problems, and one day, Koro-sensei.
4. My Hero Academia (2016)
Tumblr media
The appearance of “quirks,” newly discovered super powers, has been steadily increasing over the years, with 80 percent of humanity possessing various abilities from manipulation of elements to shapeshifting. This leaves the remainder of the world completely powerless, and Izuku Midoriya is one such individual.
Since he was a child, the ambitious middle schooler has wanted nothing more than to be a hero. Izuku’s unfair fate leaves him admiring heroes and taking notes on them whenever he can. But it seems that his persistence has borne some fruit: Izuku meets the number one hero and his personal idol, All Might. All Might’s quirk is a unique ability that can be inherited, and he has chosen Izuku to be his successor!
Enduring many months of grueling training, Izuku enrolls in UA High, a prestigious high school famous for its excellent hero training program, and this year’s freshmen look especially promising. With his bizarre but talented classmates and the looming threat of a villainous organization, Izuku will soon learn what it really means to be a hero.
5. Attack on Titan (2013)
Tumblr media
Centuries ago, mankind was slaughtered to near extinction by monstrous humanoid creatures called titans, forcing humans to hide in fear behind enormous concentric walls. What makes these giants truly terrifying is that their taste for human flesh is not born out of hunger but what appears to be out of pleasure. To ensure their survival, the remnants of humanity began living within defensive barriers, resulting in one hundred years without a single titan encounter. However, that fragile calm is soon shattered when a colossal titan manages to breach the supposedly impregnable outer wall, reigniting the fight for survival against the man-eating abominations.
After witnessing a horrific personal loss at the hands of the invading creatures, Eren Yeager dedicates his life to their eradication by enlisting into the Survey Corps, an elite military unit that combats the merciless humanoids outside the protection of the walls. Based on Hajime Isayama’s award-winning manga, Shingeki no Kyojin follows Eren, along with his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman and his childhood friend Armin Arlert, as they join the brutal war against the titans and race to discover a way of defeating them before the last walls are breached.
6. Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica (2011)
Tumblr media
Madoka Kaname and Sayaka Miki are regular middle school girls with regular lives, but all that changes when they encounter Kyuubey, a cat-like magical familiar, and Homura Akemi, the new transfer student.
Kyuubey offers them a proposition: he will grant any one of their wishes and in exchange, they will each become a magical girl, gaining enough power to fulfill their dreams. However, Homura Akemi, a magical girl herself, urges them not to accept the offer, stating that everything is not what it seems.
A story of hope, despair, and friendship, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica deals with the difficulties of being a magical girl and the price one has to pay to make a dream come true.
7. Hunter X Hunter (2011)
Tumblr media
Hunter x Hunter is set in a world where Hunters exist to perform all manner of dangerous tasks like capturing criminals and bravely searching for lost treasures in uncharted territories. Twelve-year-old Gon Freecss is determined to become the best Hunter possible in hopes of finding his father, who was a Hunter himself and had long ago abandoned his young son. However, Gon soon realizes the path to achieving his goals is far more challenging than he could have ever imagined.
Along the way to becoming an official Hunter, Gon befriends the lively doctor-in-training Leorio, vengeful Kurapika, and rebellious ex-assassin Killua. To attain their own goals and desires, together the four of them take the Hunter Exam, notorious for its low success rate and high probability of death. Throughout their journey, Gon and his friends embark on an adventure that puts them through many hardships and struggles. They will meet a plethora of monsters, creatures, and characters—all while learning what being a Hunter truly means.
8. Ranma ½ (1989)
Tumblr media
Ranma Saotome is a top-class martial artist and prodigy at the Saotome “Anything-Goes” school of martial arts. While training in China, he and his father meet a terrible fate when they accidentally fall into a cursed spring. Now, Ranma is cursed to turn into a girl when splashed with cold water, and only hot water can turn him back into a boy.
Things are only complicated further when Ranma discovers that his father has arranged for him to marry one of Soun Tendo’s three daughters in order to secure the future of the Tendo dojo. Though Soun learns of Ranma’s predicament, he is still determined to go ahead with the engagement, and chooses his youngest daughter Akane, who happens to be a skilled martial artist herself and is notorious for hating men.
Ranma ½ follows the hilarious adventures of Ranma and Akane as they encounter various opponents, meet new love interests, and find different ways to make each other angry, all while their engagement hangs over their head.
9. Love Live! School Idol Project (2013)
Tumblr media
Otonokizaka High School is in a crisis! With the number of enrolling students dropping lower and lower every year, the school is set to shut down after its current first years graduate. However, second year Honoka Kousaka refuses to let it go without a fight. Searching for a solution, she comes across popular school idol group A-RISE and sets out to create a school idol group of her own. With the help of her childhood friends Umi Sonoda and Kotori Minami, Honoka forms μ’s (pronounced “muse”) to boost awareness and popularity of her school.
Unfortunately, it’s all easier said than done. Student council president Eri Ayase vehemently opposes the establishment of a school idol group and will do anything in her power to prevent its creation. Moreover, Honoka and her friends have trouble attracting any additional members. But the Love Live, a competition to determine the best and most beloved school idol groups in Japan, can help them gain the attention they desperately need. With the contest fast approaching, Honoka must act quickly and diligently to try and bring together a school idol group and win the Love Live in order to save Otonokizaka High School.
10. Demon Slayer (2019)
Tumblr media
Ever since the death of his father, the burden of supporting the family has fallen upon Tanjirou Kamado’s shoulders. Though living impoverished on a remote mountain, the Kamado family are able to enjoy a relatively peaceful and happy life. One day, Tanjirou decides to go down to the local village to make a little money selling charcoal. On his way back, night falls, forcing Tanjirou to take shelter in the house of a strange man, who warns him of the existence of flesh-eating demons that lurk in the woods at night.
When he finally arrives back home the next day, he is met with a horrifying sight—his whole family has been slaughtered. Worse still, the sole survivor is his sister Nezuko, who has been turned into a bloodthirsty demon. Consumed by rage and hatred, Tanjirou swears to avenge his family and stay by his only remaining sibling. Alongside the mysterious group calling themselves the Demon Slayer Corps, Tanjirou will do whatever it takes to slay the demons and protect the remnants of his beloved sister’s humanity.

Even more more facts about 🐾 anon bc you seem to like them so much:
Ayo the fact u think I’m a main character </3
I’m asexual but am also straight😔 yall prob don’t care tho I just wanted to say it
I am watching food wars😃😃 help me I want to go home but I’m doing it for the food so I can hopefully cook better😭😭
I’ll let you know if I can cook better from watching food wars or not
Ok idk if I can cook better but it’s not as bad as I originally thought and it has a good plot
I remember you asking why 🌝 is my first recent... LISTEN THAT FACE IS A MOOD ITS LIKE A LENNY FACE ON A MOON
If I was in AOT my two moods would be: “if I die I die, whether it’s bc of natural selection or I got killed by a Titan is debatable” and “it is what it is”
Team Eren all the way btw😎🥶🥶🥵💯💯💯💯💯❗️❗️❗️❗️
*war flashbacks of Assassination Classroom😭😭*
I read fanfiction of fictional characters but I could never do it with real people. I’m just saying it don’t feel right y’kno? That’s a real person with they own life outside of acting and whatever they do. It kinda upsets me but I don’t judge
I’m not a very judgmental person, I really just be minding my business
I’m so THICK in the head, like you can be like “well today was awesome” and I’d be like “cool! Tell me what happened!” AND ID BE GENUINELY EXCITED TO HEAR HOW YOUR DAY WENT AND I WOULDN’T GET YOU’RE BEING SARCASTIC (im not too dumb tho so I CAN pick it up from your voice or something, texts, not so much😭)
i’m lonely :(
Currently trying to find a crush in food wars bc all that’s keeping me going is the food🖐😔
On MyAnimeList it says I completed 140 anime so yea
I have only completely dropped one show and that’s yugioh arc v but seriously I watched the original and I don’t see a point in watching more
I apparently have like over 30 anime on hold BUT IN MY DEFENSE I’ve put a lot on hold so I can finish the new ones out like AOT s4, JJK, and TPN s2
I wonder what mood I give off🧐
Omg this is the only one where I didn’t talk about music
How do cooks fill food with food? Like let’s say you stuffed chicken with cheese, HOW DO YOU DO THAT?😣
:P
I’ll eat literally anything if it’s good.... unless it triggers my pickiness😬 which is easy to trigger if I see something stringy in my food or something. Like I’m really picky when it comes to onions bc they can leave a little bit of a stringy outer part bc of it and I HATE bean sprouts and I have no other reason to hate them other than the way they look. At least I like fruits and vegetables 😚 (except spinach if made wrong)
Idk what my favorite food is, the food I eat most frequently is rice and noodles but even then idk what my fav food is
I really love tea though ^^
I’m also into medicinal herbs and gardening. I even wanna go foraging!!^^ however ^^* I kinda don’t like being outside but I’m getting more used to it
I’m so used to subtitles, it’s like I don’t need to fully read them to know what’s going on. Whenever I’m watching sub the voice acting happens on its own y’know? But it’s still in japanese?? It’s hard to explain
I love how through my asks you can see some of my adventures of going through anime, like I do really love Haikyuu (it’s my fav after all) but you can also kinda watch as I enjoy other animes!
I love to play chess^^ but I’m a big wild card since I’m literally willing to sacrifice all my pieces to protect the king and queen, the queen even more so. (I also don’t do too much thinking when it comes to the game, it’s a wonder how I end all of my games in wins or ties ;-;)
Hugs and kithes!!🥰🥰
Well imma go back to watching food wars since I can’t think of anything else :P gn!
(Did you notice I organize the facts about me by color?👀) (that took way longer than necessary🖐😭)
oh okay okay, i don’t know much about sexual orientation but i’m trying to learn more!
lmaoo i’ve also watched food wars! it was one of my first animes. other than the ... it’s a really good anime! i’ve learned a lot of new tips/tricks about cooking and i love the character dynamics :) tell me how it goes?
(i have a crush on akira)
i should start using the moon emoji more ...
LMAO i haven’t watched aot much but ME TOO
yeah yeah i can also understand the not being able to do that with real people! that’s so cute though, to be genuinely interested!  i’m sarcastic all the time lmao :)
:( come talk to me!
lmaoo soma’s hot though! and got a great personality!! also, takumi! KUGA REMINDS ME A LOT OF NISHINOYA!!
you give off a really hyper and extroverted energy :)
140 ??? oh wow, i genuinely impressed
LMAO I HAVE NO IDEA. i can barely cook eggs.
me too!! food is food :) i also eat rice and noodles the most often!! :)) tea too!!!
ohh medicinal herbs! i’ve learned a bit about chinese medicinal herbs before ... doesn’t the assistant of erina (hisoka, pink haired girl from food wars) study medicinal herbs ??
ME TOO. I CAN’T understnad anything without captions now lmaoo
omg you like playing chess? i kinda wanna play with you! :)) i’m not really goood at it but i’d love to try
hugs and kisses 😼
enjoy watching food wars!! :))) talk to me about it, i haven’t watched in so long ahhh

Do you have anymore Emi Nakamura vids? I remember discovering her from myanimelist when she was advertising her yt in mid 2014, I got hooked to her channel afterwards. Was really bummed when she removed her channel in late 2014 (I'm certain she was a troll and didn't commit suicide.) My favorite vids she did was her Naruto running in her backyard and her tutorial on how to draw an anime character. Btw, congratulations on 9 years.
I wish I had any more anon, you have no idea the countless hours I've spent scouring for the other lost emi videos. Sadly I think she's lost, a legacy which lives on in the minds of only a chosen few. Sad!

Fall Anime 2017
It’s that time of year again...school. With college, work, dance practice, etc., it’s been a struggle to keep up and finish all of the anime that I’ve been watching since summer. However, I’ve been able to successfully, yet reluctantly, finish shows like Hitorijime my Hero, Tsurezure Children, Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu, etc. Sadly, other amazing shows such as Boku no Hero Academia and Gamers! (which managed to pleasantly surprise me) are about to end this week. :( But since October literally starts next week and I’m about a foot deep into the fall semester at school, I’m looking forward to what the FALL SEASON OF ANIME will bring, and potentially hinder me from being on top of my school work.
Here are the shows that I am planning on watching (WARNING: get ready for a long list...sorry lol):
- Shokugeki no Soma: San no Sara
Need I say more???
Tumblr media
- 3-gatsu no Lion 2
Really enjoyed the first season and I’m looking forward to how it continues. For anyone who hasn’t watched this yet...give it a chance. You won’t regret it.
Tumblr media
- Osomatsu-san 2
AHHHHH SHIIIIIIT MY FAV IDIOT BROTHERS ARE BACK!!!
Tumblr media
- Mahoutsukai no Yome
After watching the OVA episodes for this show, I have the urge to watch it as a full length show. (btw myanimelist had it listed as airing in the summer, but it should air in the fall)
Tumblr media
- Tsukipro The Animation
I have no excuse. I just like watching bishounen boys singing.
Tumblr media
- Code:Realize : Sousei no Himegimi
A reverse harem anime with a veteran voice cast...GIVE. ME.
Tumblr media
- Just Because!
Reading the premise gave me Tsuki ga Kirei (if you don't know what I’m talking about refer back to my spring anime list) vibes.
Tumblr media
- Dynamic Chord
Again, singing bishies.
Tumblr media
- Animegataris
I think its time to watch an anime about high school students forming an anime research club. Just. Yes.
Tumblr media
- Osake wa Fuufu ni Natte Kara
This is one of those anime that lasts only 5 min per episode but the premise seemed really adorable!
Tumblr media
- Black Clover
Ok watching this was a last minute decision, but after watching the PV and looking at the cast list, I have to check this out.
Tumblr media
Leftovers:
- Ballroom e Youkoso
I’m already hooked on the new opening. I pretty much caught up with the manga so I’m looking forward to how everything will be animated.
Tumblr media
Shows that have second seasons coming out but I haven't watched yet:
- Kekkai Sensen
I’ve heard nothing but good things about this show and I’ve wanted to watch it for awhile. I’ll get to it...once I watch the 1st season.
Tumblr media
- Himouto! Umaru-chan
This anime seems really adorable and I’ve also thought about watching this. Hopefully, I get to it soon... T^T
Tumblr media
Movies:
- Free! Take Your Marks
IT’S FREE. NUFF. SAID.
Tumblr media
- Donten ni Warau Gaiden: Ketsubetsu, Yamainu no Chikai
I never thought that they’d make a movie for this show. But lo and behold, it’s coming. When this show came out in 2014, I really enjoyed it. Watch it if you haven't yet!
Tumblr media
Holy Jesus this was a long list. If you’ve managed to get through this list, then kudos to you!
I highly doubt I will be able to keep up with everything that I listed, but I will try. I’m in my last year of my undergraduate program at my university and I have to write two very important 20-25 page papers for my two majors before December. RIP. Plus, I’m learning Japanese. It’s not easy but I’m really enjoying it. Even though I’m busier and more tired than ever, having time to relax and watch anime is really important to me. For those of you who are struggling in school at the moment, remember to take time to sit down and watch an episode of anime. It’s important to be diligent with your work, but it’s equally important to treat yourself and enjoy life. Good luck with school and thanks for reading!

Chapter 36 is here. Wow this took longer than I planned, sorry!!
There’re a lot of TL notes btw
But onto some good and bad news... Chapter 37 is even longer (28 pages)!! I’ll do my best to finish it within a week...
Volume 6 is available for purchase at
Amazon (hardcopy, kindle) (x)
CDJapan (x)
As you’ll see in this chapter, “Aruosumente” is actually supposed to be spelled “Alosmente.” Some sources like myanimelist have been using that instead of “Aruosumente.” But I’ll continue to use “Aruosumente” because that’s more commonly used.
Page 1
Lante: One, two, heave-ho!!
<<SFX: CLUNK>>
Lante: Ah
Soldier: Lante…Didn’t we talk about not missing that mark?
Lante: Ugh
Soldier: Were your eyes closed?
Lante: They were open!!
Page 2
Soldier: As I thought, we should leave chopping the wood to Dante. He’s good at it. Yeah, he’s good at it.
<<Other soldiers: Right… Right…>>
Lante: I-I can do it too!!
Soldier: You can’t though
Lante: Ugh
Soldier: It’s fine, go call Dante. He’ll be able to do it
Lante: Wait! But I was able to properly chop them up yesterday!!
Soldier: Yeah, 3 logs (in one day)
<<SFX: soldiers grouping>>
Lante: Ugh
<<SFX: alone>>
Lante: …
Lante: …Tsk
Page 3
Lante: …To begin with, you can’t chop up something this small!? (It’s impossible!!)
<<SFX: kick>>
Lante (narrating): I wonder how long it’s been since then
<<SFX: clang>>
Lante (narrating): There wasn’t any reason to fight. The knight’s captain’s absence didn’t cause any particular inconvenience…
Lante (narrating): In terms of strength, the next captain should be Dante. But everyone voted unanimously against it.
<<Soldier 1: Won’t do>>
<<Soldier 2: That’s impossible>>
<<Soldier3, 4: Nope>>
Lante (narrating): For me, I couldn’t help with much as usual.
Lante (thinking): At least I’m doing my best chopping wood…
<<SFX: roll>>
Page 4
Lante: Haaaaahhh…
Soldier: Hey Lante
Soldier: Help me run an errand for a bit
Lante: Errand? What?
Soldier: It’s delivering something
Lante: Sure
(Lante: So, to where?)
(Soldier: The nearby armory)
<<SFX: heavy>>
Lante (narrator): …”The official odd job doer…”
(Lante: Super damn heavy…)
Lante (thinking): …It’s fine though…
Soldier: Wow, sure is a lot, huh!
Page 5
Soldier 1: You brought this many back by yourself? It must have been heavy
Lante: Wait (breathe)
Soldier 1: But why so much again…
Lante: Ah, there haven’t been any big disputes, so…
Lante: It seems like they’re bringing them over to us to be repaired
Soldier 2: Oh…that’s why
Soldier 1: Yeah that’s true. It’s not like this kinda peacefulness would last forever
Soldier 1: Then we’ll take care of this
Lante: Sure, I’ll leave it to you.
Soldier1: Ah, wait a second
Page 6
Soldier1: Here’s your tip
Lante: Eh, are you sure!?
Soldier 1: Ya brought over such heavy things. Buy something for someone ya like
Lante: Like?!
Lante: I don’t have someone like that
Soldier 1: Sooner or lateeeer
Soldier 2: You’re probably secretly performing the Aruosumente, right? (That one, that one)
Lante: Aru… What’s that?
Soldier 1: You don’t know what the Aruosumente is?
Soldier 1: It’s divination using dreams
Soldier 2: Eh? I heard it’ll make your wishes come true though?
Page 7
Soldier 1: You take a black stone and envelope it in a white cloth like this (this way)
Soldier 1: And hold it while you’re sleeping. If you do that, the sage will appear and tell you about anything
Soldier 2: That’s wrong, it’s supposed to make your wish come true
Lante: …
Lante: That’s hella shady (ueeeh)
Soldier 1: Right!!
<<Voices: Gahaha>>
Soldier 3: Aruosumente? Oh yeah, yeah I heard of that
Soldier 4: Isn’t it dream divination? Plucking flower petals is much easier. I used to do that a lot
Soldiers: What? Is there someone you like? (Ooh?! No way?!
Lante: No (Why are we talking about that?!)
Page 8
Lante (narrating): That’s ridiculous
Lante (thinking): Fortune telling huh, that’s stupid (And there’s nothing to do today as well…)
Lante (thinking): I need to find something more useful to spend my time
Lante (thinking): …The tip I got
Lante (thinking): What should I use it on…
Lamia (quote): Read books!!
Page 9
Lante: …
Lante: Books… I wonder if I can buy them…?
Lante (narrating): Speaking of which, I received a dictionary
Lante (narrating): I used it a little and read a bit of it but the books that the army has aren’t interesting. So with that
(Lante: Legislation?*)
((*TL note: I have no idea what the first character is; I honestly can’t read Aki’s handwriting sometimes. It looks vaguely like 立法, so I’m going to assume it’s that.)
Lante: …
Salesperson: Ah, if it’s that
Salesperson: It should be around here. That book’s very worn so I’ll sell it to you for cheap
Lante: It’s full of picture…
Salesperson: Is it too easy?
Lante: …
Lante: …It’s fine (I can’t read it)
Salesperson: Thank you! I’ll give you a bonus, so work hard!! Here!
Lante: …? What book is that
Salesperson: Who knows? It didn’t sell at all so I’ll give it to you
Salesperson: The title is also gone. Work hard so you can read this one day!
Lante: …You’re just trying to get rid of your garbage right?
Lante: Whatever, I’ll just take it!
Lante: There’s nothing over there for me to read anyways.
Page 10
Narrator: In the end, the picture book was quickly finished
Lante (thinking): …boring (tsk)
Lante (thinking): I guess…I’ll read this dirty book…
<<SFX: Worn>>
Lante (thinking): Uwah, it’s really so dirty (Smelly!!)
Lante: A…L
Lante: This, is this the title? Maybe? (Stinky)
Lante (thinking): I can’t read it (Next…)
Lante: …Means? “Investigation,” “dream”
Lante: Sage
Page 11
Lante: AL
Lante: Ah
Lante: “Aruosumente”
Lante (narrating): That’s, only just a bit ago
Lante (narrating): Had I heard about it
Lante (thinking): Wasn’t it love fortune telling
Lante (narrating): “That’s wrong”
Page 12
Lante (narrating): “It’s supposed to grant wishes”
Lante: …
Lante: I can’t read much of it because it’s so dirty, but
Lante (narrating): When I look closely at it, it’s a elegant book
Lante (thinking): Like its decorations...
Lante: This is not a “love fortune telling”
Lante: Book
Lante (narrating): What does this mean? “A wish granting” book?
Page 13
Lante (narrating): Having an ancient and honorable origin in history and elsewhere
Lante: A ritual like sorcery?
Lante: Magic…? It shouldn’t be
Lante (narrating): But the oracle is like magic, mythical, defying reason
Lante: …
Lante (narrating): It can’t be magic
Lante (narrating): But then, what is the oracle?
Page 14
Lante (narrating): The oracle is the oracle and he punishes people
Lante: That’s it. In other words, in this world
Lante: The things that defy reason “exists in reality” and presumably functions this way. At least, the country believes so.
Lante: If so, the oracle is
Lante: That’s it
<<SFX: clunk>>
Page 15
Dante: …You’re reading. It’s time to eat
Lante: Ah, mhm, got it
Dante: …
<<Dante: Stares>>
Lante: …? What?
Dante: …No
Dante: It’s nothing
Lante: Oh ok, let’s hurry up and go

Lante (thinking): Originally, I was the one having that one sided conversation with him, but
Lante (narrating): He can’t talk with me and my conversations with Dante are very scarce
Lante (thinking): Well, it’s not like talking… …?
Lante: …What?
Lante: What happened?
Soldier 1: It’s a sortie!
Lante: A sortie
Soldier 2: Stop messing around!!
Page 17
Soldier 2: Haven’t you learned your lesson?!! Weren’t we not supposed to speak about matters regarding the army!?
Soldier 2: We haven’t even practiced and you think it’s fine to simply send the “The Chariot”** out, right
((**TL note: I think both Egscans and I have translated Dante’s nickname “戦車” as “tank.” I’m going to use “Chariot” instead of “tank” from now on because it’s more appropriate for the time period and Dante is supposed to represent the tarot card Chariot.))
Soldier 3: But there was an order sent via the oracle’s name. We can’t oppose it
Soldier 2: But!
Soldier 2: Can’t we mobilize troops from other forts? Compared to our opponents, we are lacking in soldiers
Soldier 3: But if the “Noir Trayrd”*** is present, then our numbers will be sufficient
((***TL note: Egscans translated “ノイエ・トラリッド” as “Nero Torarudo.” It’s actually supposed to be “Noie Trayrd,” since “ノイエ” is a known “foreigner” name in Japan and “トラリッド” is actually the official Japanese spelling for a place in Sweden. I’m going to translate it as “Noir Traryd” though, since the official kanji paring is “黒い戦車,” or “Black Chariot,” and “ノイエ (noie)” is pronounced similar to “Noir.”))
Soldier 2: Don’t be foolish!! What will happen if we can’t stop him!? That monster can’t differentiate between ally and foe!! What if he kills someone again!!
Page 18
Lante (narrating): At that time, I was worried if everyone’s heartless words hurt Dante
Lante (narrating): The battle was more violent than expected
Lante (narrating): Both sides were wounded
Lante (narrating): At the end, Dante was the last person left to drive them off
Soldier: He stopped but, everyone’s afraid to approach him
Page 19
Lante: …Dante
Lante (narrating): Actually
Lante: Are you okay? Do you
Lante (narrating): I was a little afraid
Lante: Recognize me?
Lante (narrating): Because I rejected Dante
Lante (narrating): His voice
Page 20
Lante (narrating): It wasn’t that it couldn’t reach me
Page 21
Lante: Dante!
Lante: Dante!?

Detroit Metal City Review
Tumblr media
(MyAnimeList) // (Anilist)
TL;DR: Beneath the crudeness, this is an amusing and absurd show which is worth watching at least once. The secondhand embarrassment is strong and the story is quite unique. Overall a solid 7 out of 10.
Warning: Profanity and off-colour jokes abound.
Spoiler-free review beneath the cut.
Detroit Metal City-- not going to lie, the name made me think it was some sort of mecha. With cars. Because I don't listen to KISS, and I had no way of knowing the song this was based on. BTW, the song by Kiss is quite good:
youtube
So, going into this anime with no sense of what metal really entails, I've come out much the same. But it was an enjoyable ride. People will tell you this anime is crass and vulgar. They're right; it is, and I nearly dropped it because I dismissed it as having nothing to offer besides shock humour. But that's where I was not quite right-- it's just that the shock of it temporarily blinded me to the genuinely funny aspects of the show. Negishi Souichi is an average music graduate whose dream is to write those fluffy cupcake pop songs which are super cute and earnest and diabetes inducing. Unfortunately for him, he earns his bread in the role of his alter ego Krauser II, lead of Detroit Metal City, an up-and-coming metal band on the indie scene. The humour in the series arises from his conflict at being the enemy, with his friends and family having no idea of his double life and his own urge to leave the terrible world of metal behind for more pleasant pastures. The secondhand embarrassment in strong, especially when bowl-cut, round-eyed, bashful Negishi interacts with Aikawa, his longstanding crush who loathes metal. It's an Id and Super-ego sort of situation, with Negishi's rational, traditionalistic side wanting to move away from metal while his inner Krauser emerges at the most inopportune moments, usually around Aikawa. She and the rest of the supporting cast are fairly run-of-the-mill; part of me questions why Aikawa even tolerates Negishi when he acts crazy, but then the point of this show isn't really making sense. Everything related to metal music is exaggerated to absurd propotions, with Krauser's crazy fans taking the erratic and murderous aspects of his persona in stride and praising accidents as deliberate showmanship. This is all made funnier by the VAs for Negishi and Krauser, who do an excellent job narrating events. I have to attach a warning though: the word rape is thrown around a lot and until you get used to it in the context of the show, you might have a hard time ignoring it. In my opinion, the show isn't misogynistic, merely absurdist to the extreme, and it makes fun of rape jokes as it does patricide and the image of violence attached to metal culture -- but you may feel differently. Detroit Metal City isn't something you really understand, just something that you half-laugh, half-cringe at but can't look away from. As for the technical aspects, the music is quite decent. The OP is very catchy and I can't stand the ED because the lyrics are too cheesy. The art style is very...unique, with a combination of stills, jerky motion and flash-style movements that suit the narration. Overall, I think the creators wanted a memorable, absurd anime and they succeeded. Definitely a one-time watch for me, but an interesting one.

2021 Anime that I’ve watched + my opinion on them
Here's the link to the version from last year
So, this is the second time that I'm doing this, damn.
Before we start, here's my list of things you may want to know before reading (same as last year):
This may include spoilers, I try to avoid them. Btw don’t expect professional reviews, this is just me ranting and telling you random shit that I have to say
Anime that weren’t finished this year are not included (with that I mean two-cour Anime that start in Fall and end in Winter if I decide to watch one this year)
I took the summaries from MyAnimeList because I suck at writing coherent summaries or basically anything else by myself
For anyone that doesn't know how Anime-release seasons work: Winter (January-March), Spring (April-June), Summer (July-September), Fall (October- December)
This will probably be the longest post ever, so I’ll start with the reviews under the cut
Josee to Tora to Sakana-tachi (Fall 2020)
Movie
A youth romantic drama with themes of growing up, the story focuses on college student Tsuneo and dreamer Josee, who lives her life stuck in a wheelchair. Josee—named after the heroine in Françoise Sagan's Wonderful Clouds—spends most of her days reading and painting until by chance she encounters Tsuneo, and decides it's time to face the real world.
⭐⭐⭐
I've waited 6 months for this movie to come out with the EngSub and I was not disappointed by the quality that I expected from it. This is technically a 2020 Anime but I don't wanna edit the other list so we're just gonna go with this one.
This movie has all the standard tropes that you find in every Romance Anime. We have mass loads of drama, sad shit that hits you out of nowhere, a surprisingly good soundtrack (THEY HAD EVE ON IT I ALMOST SCREAMED), amazing art (that kinda reminded me of Horimiya), smooth animation (thx Bones) and the bonus of representation of a physically diabled main character in a wheelchair that I've never seen in an Anime before.
Unfortunately we also got the Tsundere trope which annoyed me to hell and back and a love triangle situation, or at least two people who are in love with the same dude.
The characters were really likeable, I loved everyone, even the grandmother because I understood her overprotectiveness and why she wanted Josee to stay home after all they've been through.
I enjoyed watching this movie, I even cried a little bit at the first beach scene because that moment when Tsuneo picked Josee up was just too much for my heart.
2.43: Seiin Koukou Danshi Volley-bu (Winter 2021)
Final score: 9/10
12 episodes
⭐⭐⭐
MAL Summary: Junior high school student Kimichika Haijima moves back to his hometown, Fukui, after causing trouble in the Tokyo Junior High School volleyball club. There, he is reunited with his childhood friend, Yuni Kuroba, who possesses outstanding physical abilities, but is vulnerable under pressure. Haijima, with his overwhelming passion and talent for volleyball, forms an ace combination with Kuroba.
The two enroll at Seiin High School, where they join the volleyball club. Awaiting them are the 163 cm hot-blooded captain Shinichirou Oda, the talented and sharp-tongued vice-captain Misao Aoki and his third-year pair, and second-year students, including Akito Kanno, who is always wearing long sleeves due to his allergy to sunlight.
The newborn team breaks its former shell of weakness and becomes Fukui's rising star. This is a certain team's journey to victory, with a series of fascinating rivals standing in their way.
As a big Haikyuu!! fan, someone who played volleyball herself and someone who just loves Sports Anime, I was really excited for this one! After watching the first episode, I expected it to be a bit like Hoshiai no Sora (one of my favorites please get a new season I'm begging), but in the end it didn't give me the feeling HnS does at all.
To be honest, I was pretty bored most of the time, when the other team was introduced I wasn't really focused. The game scenes were boring too, they didn't hook me in. Did anyone else notice that when the balls collided with the floor it sounded like mf bombs?? That made me laugh every time, so good job ig.
The whole thing involved a lot, and I mean A LOT of blushing, idek why. I wasn't even interested in shipping anyone, which I actually do in every Anime I watch because it's fun, but while I watched this one I just wasn't interested at all.
I remember being hyped for Haijima's VC to play against Subaru's, but then the episode ended right before they started playing and I just didn't care anymore the week after. Maybe that's just the curse of watching one episode every week.
I think that one of my biggest problems with this was that I just didn't feel connected to any of the characters, I only remember three last names of all of the characters in this show (Subaru, Haijima, Kuroba).
The artstyle wasn't outstanding or unique, but I like the colors they used (I literally can't explain what I mean, but everytime when I think about 2.43 I have to think about the color beige) and the animation in the game scenes was also very smooth.
Now let's get to the best thing about this Anime: The music.
Fuckkk the OP was sooooo good oh my god. It took me a bit to get used to the ED because I thought that the singer was singing in cursive and had to laugh, but it's really catchy. The shots of the boys in casual clothes got me though, that was great
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^This dude was my FAVORITE. I don't have a reason as to why but I found him really cool from the moment I saw him.
Final score: 5/10
Jujutsu Kaisen (Fall 2020-Winter 2021)
24 episodes
⭐⭐⭐
Idly indulging in baseless paranormal activities with the Occult Club, high schooler Yuuji Itadori spends his days at either the clubroom or the hospital, where he visits his bedridden grandfather. However, this leisurely lifestyle soon takes a turn for the strange when he unknowingly encounters a cursed item. Triggering a chain of supernatural occurrences, Yuuji finds himself suddenly thrust into the world of Curses—dreadful beings formed from human malice and negativity—after swallowing the said item, revealed to be a finger belonging to the demon Sukuna Ryoumen, the "King of Curses."
Yuuji experiences first-hand the threat these Curses pose to society as he discovers his own newfound powers. Introduced to the Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical High School, he begins to walk down a path from which he cannot return—the path of a Jujutsu sorcerer.
Fuck ok where do I start. This one is one of my favorite Anime, I literally don't have one single bad to say about this. Idk if this sounds toxic when you can't see bad things in something, but I love literally everything about this show.
Let's start with the characters: I love everyone. Fuck I adopted each and every single one of these characters. I'm not really doing a character study or something because I suck, but all of them were so interesting and cool, everyone had their own backstory about what brought them to the school, the outfits, the character design, the POWERS AGHHH. I just love all of them so much (I tried hating on Mahito but I JUST CAN'T). I'll just assume that we don't even have to talk about Gojo, that man is the prettiest and coolest motherfucker in all of JJK and 2020 Anime.
The second thing is the animation. Fuck, this right here is the good shit. The fight scenes?????? Aoi and Yuuji vs Hanami is on the same excitement scale as Shiratorizawa vs Karasuno for me, and that's saying something. That shit was SO FIRE. MAPPA didn't have to go that hard, but they did, and that's why they'll always be my favorite studio (ok but seriously the people at MAPPA have to get some damn sleep at some point, they're animating banger after banger without a break). Honestly, every little fight in this Anime was godlike, especially the whole Kyoto Sister School Exchange Event Arc was next level shit.
Ok the OST, deep breath right here. Every single song in this Anime went s o hard. Both of the OP's and ED's are already in my favorite Anime OST's of all time list, and there was this one song that always played during the fight scenes, that even managed to distract me from the fight itself lmfao
youtube
Even the intermissions and preview songs had awesome music what the fuck-
I could talk about this damn thing all day, but I'll just stop right here so that the review doesn't get too fucking long
Final score: 10/10
Horimiya (Winter 2021)
13 episodes
⭐⭐⭐
On the surface, the thought of Kyouko Hori and Izumi Miyamura getting along would be the last thing in people's minds. After all, Hori has a perfect combination of beauty and brains, while Miyamura appears meek and distant to his fellow classmates. However, a fateful meeting between the two lays both of their hidden selves bare. Even though she is popular at school, Hori has little time to socialize with her friends due to housework. On the other hand, Miyamura lives under the noses of his peers, his body bearing secret tattoos and piercings that make him look like a gentle delinquent.
Having opposite personalities yet sharing odd similarities, the two quickly become friends and often spend time together in Hori's home. As they both emerge from their shells, they share with each other a side of themselves concealed from the outside world.
I just finished this one half an hour ago, so lucky you!! You don't have to suffer from my shitty memory! (Well maybe a little bit...)
I loved the artstyle, the OP/ED were great too, the story was nicee and just good to turn off your mind to.
There were wayyyyy to many characters in my opinion, like that green haired dude whose name I can't even remember who just appeared in episode 11 or something.
The main couple, Hori and Miyamura, were so cute they made me so jealous of their relationship T-T.... I know Hori got a lot of shit for her degradation kink thing that I unfortunately had to watch with my cousin, but I honestly don't see a problem. Maybe Miyamura hitting her in front of those guys was a bit...much, but she just wanted to explore herself?? and I think that Miyamura is all in all a great boyfriend to help her.
Miyamura was actually my favorite character, my cousin and I are still arguing if the long or short hair fit him better (LONG HAIR ALL THE WAY WOOOOOHOOO), and the thing in the last episode, when he talked to his younger self pre-Hori almost brought me to tears, because you can just see how much he changed and how much happier he is than before.
Final score: 7/10
Sk8 the Infinity (Winter 2021)
12 episodes
⭐⭐⭐
High school student Reki Kyan is passionate about one thing: skateboarding. When night falls, he heads to "S," an illegal underground race inside a mine where skaters compete in highly dangerous situations. After a loss that results in his skateboard being destroyed and his arm being broken, Reki is now incapable of practicing at all.
While working, Reki runs into his new classmate, Langa Hasegawa, a half-Canadian and half-Japanese boy with no skateboarding experience whatsoever. Langa is in desperate need of money. After they both visit "S" when tasked by Reki's boss, they get into trouble and are forced into a bet that requires Langa to skate in a race. However, the mysterious transfer student holds a trump card that Reki is unaware of, one which might help him win the race in the most unexpected way.
Fuckkkkk this is the goood shit. Here we got another very very gay Anime by the same producer as Banana Fish and Free!, one of my personal favorite Anime. I'm actually rather cautions when it comes to the term 'queerbaiting' in this one, because we basically got 'love confessions' hidden under the skating metaphors from Reki and Langa, and a heavily implied romance between the two, but we never REALLY got a love confession/kiss or just real confirmation.
That hug in the last episode was enough for me tbh, but they were so 🤏 close to kissing and I just wanted to shove their heads together once and for all.
Now that we're talking about the last episode let's talk about the absolute bullshit that was Mister Pedo-Clown's 'redemption' if you can even call it that. HOW WAS THIS DUDE NOT ARRESTED?? I thought Miss Hot Police Lady would just throw his ass into a prison cell, but noooo turns out that she was fucking useless. She was also the only female character besides Langa's and Reki's family by the way, don't know what we can conclude from that, but anyways...
Music was great, never skipped the OP and the ED totally didn't make me want to set some palm trees on fire.
Artstyle and animation were also very cool, although the dude from the store Reki and Langa work at reminded me a little bit t o o much of Banana Fish and gave me war flashbacks. Langa looked like Ash too, and at some point I really thought that he was going to get hurt, especially after Adam decked Cherry with his fucking skateboard (SERIOUSLY HOW DID HE GET AWAY WITH THAT??? JAIL! PRISON! CONFINEMENT!!).
So yeah, that's all for this one, great Anime, awful ending
Final score: 8/10
Yasuke (Spring 2021)
6 episodes
A village in danger, a mysterious child, warring daimyo, and the greatest ronin never known all clash in a Japan of magic and mechs. Learn the story of the first African samurai.
⭐⭐⭐
When I heard that there's gonna be a Netflix Anime with a black samurai main, based off of a real story, animated by MAPPA of all people, my hype went through the roof. In the end it turned out to be really disappointing.
I expected a lot of sword fights and stuff, but instead I got supernatural elements and Mecha for some fucking reason, which made the story seem unrealistic to me (I'm not into Mecha soo).
Honestly, I gotta admit that I switched to GerDub after the third episode and used it as background noise because I got bored. I also started watching it in the Japanese Dub, because I can't listen to a whole Anime in EngDub for the life of me, I'm sorry.
So yeah, the whole thing was so uninteresting to me that I can only remember one scene from it, the one where Yasuke and the other samurai from his troupe (?) stood in front of that castle (??) and Yasuke straight up killed like 10 men in one go, that was kinda badass.
I also gotta mention that the OP was a banger, didn't skip it once, animation was great as always, thanks MAPPA.
Netflix Anime aren't pretty good usually, just look at all of those ugly CGI movies they put out. Kakegurui was mediocore, Great Pretender was fucking fantastic and Yasuke is pretty bad, so now we have ticked off every box on the "How-bad-can-you-be?"-meter.
I bet that I would've liked Yasuke a lot more if they had left out the supernatural shit, left out the whole story with the girl and just went with a historically accurate depiction of his life.
Final score: 4/10
Super Cub (Spring 2021)
12 episodes
Koguma, a reserved second-year high school student, has nothing—no parents, hobbies, friends, or goals. On her way home one afternoon, she visits a vehicle shop in hopes of acquiring a motor scooter. With only enough money to make ends meet, she is disheartened by the price tags and prepares to turn back. However, as she is about to leave, the shop's owner offers her a pre-owned Honda Super Cub for ten thousand yen. Believing that the motorcycle will help brighten her monotonous world, she accepts the deal. As Koguma journeys through her town on small adventures with her Super Cub, she begins to build irreplaceable friendships and eagerly advances toward her new life.
⭐⭐⭐
If there is a definition of 'Slice of Life', it's this Anime. That doesn't mean that it's boring tho.
For some reason I got really excited to see this random cute girl getting new power ups for her motorcycle and finding new friends every Wednesday, and it kept me watching until the very end.
I adore Koguma she is so wholesome (I instantly fell in love with her the first time she smiled, she's best girl of this season don't fight me).
Reiko and Koguma act like an old married couple, especially in the last few episodes and I'm fully convinced that those two and Shii are all lesbians.
Tumblr media
The cold color palette was very relaxing to me, the whole vibe of the show was chill in and of itself I got tired every time I watched it lmao
OST was good... that's it, there's really not much to say about this one.
The only thing that always stayed in the back of my head is that the entire Anime is basically one big Honda commercial 😭
Final score: 8/10
Hige wo Soru. Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou. (Spring 2021)
13 episodes
⭐⭐⭐
When regular salaryman Yoshida wakes up one Sunday morning after a long night at the bar, the last thing he expects to see is that his tiny apartment has a new resident—an unfamiliar high school girl.
The previous night, despite finally gathering the courage to confess to his boss and longtime crush, Airi Gotou, Yoshida was rejected. After drowning his sorrows at a bar with his good friend Hashimoto, Yoshida headed back to his home in a drunken stupor, only to run into Sayu Ogiwara, a runaway high schooler. She asked him to let her stay the night, and with his judgment clouded by alcohol, Yoshida complied.
Now, with his head on straight but with no memory of last night's events, Yoshida has Sayu explain just how she ended up sleeping at his apartment. Having listened to her story, Yoshida finds himself unable to kick her out—especially after learning that she came all the way from Hokkaido! So, despite his reservations about sheltering an underage girl, Yoshida allows her to stay, and their life together begins.
I don't really know what I expected to get out of this story. I honestly thought that we were gonna get a lovely father-daughter relationship, but no, instead we got very uncomfortable intimate interactions between a 28 and a 17 year old 😐 At least they didn't get together while she was still living with him and I love Yoshida for dismissing her love confession and advances in the first and last episode.
Lmao, now that I think about it, I remember getting in a huge argument with some incel on MyAnimeList after watching the first episode, that was funny as hell ngl (the argument starts with my post on page 2 if you wanna read it (I'm NicawatchesAnime on there).
The story was interesting, I was eager to find out about Sayu's backstory, and even though I expected it to be tragic, episode 9 hit me like a fucking train. I saw many people on MAL say that it was poorly executed, but I really enjoyed watching that episode (ok maybe 'enjoy ' isn't the right word for an episode like this lol). Kana Ichinose's (Sayu) voice acting was fantastic.
Yoshida was my favorite character, he is literally so sweet and caring and best boy of the season imo. The whole evolving relationship between him and Sayu just made me feel icky, and I think that he should've chosen that short-haired woman from his office to date in the end instead of Sayu.
Idk about y'all but I kinda liked Gotou and especially Issa at the end of the show because they showed genuine care for Sayu although they were very irritating at the beginning or on their first appearances. The dude from the store showed sympathy for Sayu too by hiding her from Issa, but I won't forgive him simply because he tried or rather DID sexually assault her, that idiot can fuck off. Sayu's mother can fuck right off too, god I hate her so much, voice acting in episode 12 was great tho.
I would've liked the show more if Yoshida and Sayu had kept their father-daughter dynamic, them coming together in the end just gives me Usagi Drop Manga Ending vibes (ok maybe HigeHiro is not as extreme as that but you know what I mean).
The artstyle wasn't anything special, it wasn't really ugly, but it wasn't particularly pretty either. The OP is one of my favorites from this season, everytime I watched the new episodes I had to listen to the OP twice because it's just so good (this is not a joke I actually did that).
Final score: 7/10
Shakunetsu Kabaddi (Spring 2021)
12 episodes
⭐⭐⭐
Tatsuya Yoigoshi, a once nationally recognized soccer player, is now a first-year student at Noukin High School. Due to his developed hatred for sports, he has abandoned his previous aspirations to become a famous livestreamer on the internet. One day, Souma Azemichi, a first-year on the kabaddi team, seeks to recruit Yoigoshi and spontaneously interrupts his livestream.
Without any expectations, Yoigoshi follows Souma to the school gym, where he witnesses second-years Kyouhei Misumi and Shinji Date engaged in the primal contact sport of kabaddi. Despite ridiculing the rules of play, Yoigoshi is stunned by the intensity of the round. Because of an enticing deal and slight coercion, he agrees to settle the prospect of his recruitment through the most invigorating way: a battle of kabbadi, a team sport played empty-handed.
This has been on my PTW list since December 2020, I was really excited for it, and it didn't really blew me away as much as I expected.
First of all, the artstyle is so mf ugly and the animation isn't the best either, but the OP and ED sound so good, especially the OP. Don't really know about the OST though, it has a lot of EDM which I don't like at all.
Yoigoshi is cool, Azemichi too, he was my favorite because he's funny af and just really sweet. I've waited sooo long for Oujou to show up because I thought that he looked sick on the poster, but in the end he wasn't as interesting as I thought. The entire show kinda went downhill, and with that I mean boring, when he was introduced (I know he's kind of a fan favorite but he just wasn't that awesome to me).
I honestly did not give a single fuck about any of the characters, especially the new ones that were introduced in like the 9th episode.
The matches didn't pull me in, they were kinda boring most of the time, except when they like kicked the opponents to get points because that looked really great.
I liked that they chose such an unknown sport to focus on, I don't know how it's like in other countries, but as a German I've never heard about this sport in my life and Shakunetsu Kabaddi kind of introduced me to Kabaddi although after watching it for 12 weeks I still can't remember the damn rules 😭
Final score: 6/10
Gokushufudou (Spring 2021)
5 episodes
⭐⭐⭐
"Immortal Tatsu," the legendary yakuza who single-handedly defeated a rival gang with a lead pipe, is a name known to strike fear in both hardened police officers and vicious criminals. Soon after his sudden disappearance, he resurfaces with a slight change in profession. Now equipped with an apron, Tatsu has given up violence and is trying to make an honest living as a house husband.
While adapting to mundane household tasks, Tatsu finds that being a house husband has its own challenges, from the battlefield known as supermarket sales to failures in the kitchen. Despite living peacefully, misunderstandings seem to follow him left and right. Gokushufudou follows the daily life of the comically serious ex-yakuza as he leaves behind his dangerous previous life to become a stay-at-home husband.
The Way of the Househusband is one of my favorite Manga, and I think you can imagine the look on my face when I first saw the trailer for the "Anime". You do not understand man, I was devastated. I saw the first few seconds of that goddamn Netflix trailer (OF COURSE IT'S NETFLIX OF FUCKING COURSE) and could not believe what I was watching. The perfect artstyle from the Manga was straight up ruined by this Picture Drama of a so called Anime, the coloring looked awful (what did they do to Miku's hair I'm gonna cry), the animation was non existent, and I wouldn't even be mad rn if they had just at least advertised it right and had not called it an "Anime".
The OST was bad, everything about this was bad.
At least the voice acting was good and the jokes came across, not as good as in the Manga, but still kind of.
Btw I know that Kousuke Oono themselves wanted the Anime to look like that but it's still so mf bad
Final score: 4/10
Bakuten (Spring 2021)
12 episodes
⭐⭐⭐
Shoutarou Futaba has always loved sports, but he never became more than a benchwarmer on his middle school baseball team. After noticing a group of gymnasts practicing in the park, he decides to watch a rhythmic gymnastics tournament on a whim. Although displaying an exhilarating performance at the competition, the Shoushukan High School's Rhythmic Gymnastics Club places second-to-last due to penalties acquired from not fielding a full six-man roster.
The demonstration of skill captivates Shoutarou, and he decides to enroll at Shoushukan in hopes of joining the team despite having no background in the sport. The club recruits him alongside Ryouya Misato, a prodigal gymnast who was the runner-up in a junior tournament.
Now with a full six-man roster, the team sets out to compete in the upcoming Inter-High tournament. As he strives to accomplish this ambitious endeavor, Shoutarou must learn and master the basics of rhythmic gymnastics all while working in tandem with his new teammates if Shoushukan wants to stand a chance at claiming the title.
Here we finally have a rather good Sports Anime!
I enjoyed watching Bakuten, the biggest point that I liked were the characters, they were all very fun to watch and everyone was unique and had nice character design.
Misato's character development throughout the series and his friendship (...) with Shotaro made me really happy. Fun fact: my cousin and I always accidentally mixed their names up so we just called Misato "Yuno" from Black Clover because damn he looks like him a whole fucking lot.
I actually have a few things to say about the character design because almost all of them reminded me of other Anime characters:
Mutsu, the snake looking dude - Orochimaru and Kabuto from Naruto because, obviously
Blue haired dude, Oominato - Rei from Free!, they look exactly the same
Ryuugamori - Illumi from Hunter x Hunter
Shida, in his flashback - Yurio from Yuri! on Ice damn I laughed so hard
Takase & Shichigahama - Kagami from Kuroko no Basket
Tsukidate - Suga from Haikyuu!!
Watari (MY FAVORITE I LOVE HIM) - Tanaka from Haikyuu!!
Ok enough about the characters. The artstyle was nice, the animation was smooth. When I saw the performance in ep1 I was really worried because CGI in Anime almost never looks good to me, but Bakuten really outdid themselves with it. I love how they switched from 3D to 2D to show facial expressions and it fit really well imo, I saw a lot of people hate on it so I just had to mention it.
Can we just talk about how this Anime was the first one that actually scared the living shit out of me for a moment. Episode 5 scared me more than Perfect Blue, a literal Horror Anime, like chill the fuck out 😭
The OST is absolutely fantastic, of course it is because it's made by the same guys who performed the Given OP/ED.
Btw can I just mention that the girls' outfits in this Anime are really stylish I mean look at this
Tumblr media
Gotta say that the full body suits that the boys wore in their last performance were fucking ugly and the camerawork and effects they used were really weird.
Final score: 8/10
Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san (Spring 2021)
12 episodes
⭐⭐⭐
Every day, Naoto Hachiouji is teased relentlessly by Hayase Nagatoro, a first year student he meets one day in the library while working on his manga. After reading his story and seeing his awkward demeanor, she decides from that moment on to toy with him, even calling him "Senpai" in lieu of using his real name.
At first, Nagatoro's relentless antics are more bothersome than anything and leave him feeling embarrassed, as he is forced to cater to her whims. However, as they spend more time together, a strange sort of friendship develops between them, and Naoto finds that life with Nagatoro can even be fun. But one thing's for sure: his days will never be dull again.
This Anime is so incredibly dumb and cringey it physically hurts me. I enjoyed watching it anyways.
When I watched the first episode and saw Nagatoro making nameless-dude cry, I was like: "How is this gonna develop into a romantic relationship??", but it got a little bit better over time. If we just ignore the mass amount of fanservice of 15 year old girls and Nagatoro and her friends borderline sexually harrassing nameless-dude, this might even be a really cute love story, they had their moments. Maybe it's just because I'm a sucker for any romantic shit I can get.
I can't decide if I like Nagatoro or not, she's really fucking annoying sometimes, but nameless-dude with the Deku voice and his heavy breathing isn't any better tbh. Nagatoro's friends annoyed me too but the long haired girl was cool.
I was also confused about the club room they're always hanging out in, like where are the other members?? We met the club president in like episode 10, but that's it?? Btw the club president was SO oversexualized it's honestly disgusting.
Soundtrack was catchy and artstyle was actually pretty nice. The fanservice went through the roof for some reason, chill the girls are in like 10th grade or something.
Idk why I enjoyed watching this shitshow so much, I have so many contra points against it, but it was really fun to watch and the artstyle got to me, so if you're into Sadodere shit and looking for mindless garbage this Anime is your perfect match.
Final score: 6/10
Cider no You ni Kotoba ga Wakiagaru (Summer 2021)
Movie
⭐⭐⭐
The visual features the tagline, "I met you in my 17th summer ..." The "boy-meets-girl" story depicts how words and music bridge the gap between Cherry, a boy who is terrible at communicating with other people, and Smile, a girl who hides behind a mask. They meet in a mundane suburban shopping mall in a provincial city.
Cherry always wears headphones and puts the feelings he cannot utter into his hobby, Japanese haiku poems. Smile always wears a mask to conceal her large front teeth, for which she has dental braces. As a popular video star, she streams a video about seeking "cuteness."
This movie was average and quite boring to be honest. I mainly watched it because the artstyle looked pretty to me, but while watching the movie itself, I decided that it's not as good as I thought. The effects and the camera angles looked weird at times and the colors were so bright that it lowkey irritated me.
I really don't have much to say about this movie, nothing outstanding happened. Except the ending which was so fucking cringe that it made me shed a literal tear that ran down my face and had my brother throw a concerned look at me.
Final score: 5/10
Boku no Hero Academia Season 5 (Spring 2021)
25 episodes
⭐⭐⭐
UA Academy's Class 1-A has been the focus of a substantial amount of public attention due to the multiple villain attacks they have faced over the past school year. This attention has left Class 1-A's rivals, Class 1-B, feeling quite bitter. Desiring to prove their skills, they look forward to the opportunity that has been given to them: a set of mock battles between the students of each class.
The classes are split into squads of four, each of which is tasked with capturing the other group members. The winner is the group who first secures all of the opposing team. While this sounds simple, a curveball is thrown into the mix with the inclusion of General Course Student Hitoshi Shinsou, who wishes to transfer into the Hero Course. Despite using his training with Class 1-A's homeroom teacher Shouta "Eraserhead" Aizawa to prove that he's capable of being a real hero, he is still far behind the others due to his lack of experience. However, Shinsou is determined to overcome this challenge.
Thus begins the fiery competition between Class 1-A and 1-B as each tries to prove that they are superior to the other.
This was actually the first bnha season i watched in simulcast since I'm a late bloomer and only started watching the show in like February of 2021, just wanted to mention that.
I'm gonna try to keep this short because I kinda lost motivation to do this whole rating Anime thing, but I don't wanna leave it in my drafts at the end of the year or I'll be disappointed in myself so let's just keep going.
The first cour was boring as fuck, I literally cannot name you one single fight from those episodes except Denki and Shinsou teaming up and Deku activating Black Whip during his fight with Shinsou. I can't even tell you Bakugou's opponent and that says something because he's my favorite character.
Anyways, the second cour was a lot more exciting, unpopular opinion but I really like Endeavor's redemption arc and him trying to change for the better. And oh my god, we finally got to see Shigaraki's backstory being animated. I actually never read the Meta Liberation Arc, but I watched a few character analysis videos so I knew what happened to Shigaraki, and I kind thought they were gonna censor the shit out of it for some reason. Spoiler: They didn't. Goddamn Shigaraki's background story was so fucking good I'm still not over that scene of him activating his quirk and literally killing his entire family. That scene was so sick, you should've seen my cousin and me, I almost started crying it was so fucking good.
Season 5 was weird animation-wise and I'm like 100% sure that I'm not the only one who noticed it.
The music was ok I guess, I didn't like the first OP, both ED's were good. The second OP slapped really hard, not one of my favorite bnha openings (The Day and ODD FUTURE all the way), but I didn't skip it once.
Final score: 7/10
Re-Main (Summer 2021)
12 episodes
⭐⭐⭐
When Minato Kiyomizu wakes up in a hospital, he learns that he has been comatose for 203 days. As it turns out, a car accident has caused him to lose all memory of his middle school journey. Eventually, he discovers his former glory in water polo and desires to continue where he has left off. However, embarrassingly becoming aware of the massive disparity between his old and current self, Minato begins intensive rehabilitation in hopes of starting anew—a life without water polo.
Yet, Minato is promptly reminded of his past prowess and a promise on his very first day in Yamanami High School. Soon enough, despite being completely aware of his ineptitude, he joins the school's water polo club! While needing to relearn the sport's basics, he, along with his clubmates, must recruit new members to attain the required seven-man roster. With that, Minato tries to rekindle his deeply buried talent for water polo—and become one of Japan's renowned players once again.
Ugh.
I had really high hopes for this one because
1) it's by MAPPA
2) everyone made it out to be the next Bakuten! or the next Sk8, and since I enjoyed both of these, especially Sk8, a lot I decided to give it a try.
This Anime left me even more disappointed as 2.43. God it was SO boring and bad.
The characters were boring as hell, literally none of them stuck with me.
The voices annoyed me so much and that usually never happens with me and doesn't fuck with my enjoyment but with Re-Main it did. Especially the blond haired dude's voice, he had the same one as Tendou from Haikyuu!!.
It was boring, the matches were boring, the characters were unoriginal and boring, the soundtrack was bad, the animation and especially the CGI parts looked bad, and all in all I didn't enjoy it the least bit. I was so glad when it finally ended.
I have three more things to say about Re-Main:
1) Why does no one fucking care that Minato literally just woke up from a coma and lost 3 YEARS worth of memories?? Why is everyone in this damn Anime like: "Oh Minato, you really changed!"? Yeah no shit?? He literally lost 3 years of his life and his development and behavior as a person?
2) I'm so sorry but when this man Minato fell off a fucking BIKE and lost ANOTHER one year worth of memories like halfway through the show I literally laughed for 5 minutes straight. This show is so unrealistic and overdramatic like what in gods name was that one scene where everyone thought that the emo-"you all are better than me"-dude was gonna fucking commit and in the end he was just doing something completely else??? what the fuck???
3) The unnecessary character arcs and characters in general are something else in this show. I do not care for Sasuke 2.0's brother complex, and said brother's rivalry with Minato from like 5 years ago. I don't care for Minato's """""dark side""""" (he was literally such an asshole in the second part of the season for like no reason). I don't care for the literal only "important" female character in the show who was so useless and contributed nothing to the plot except telling Minato how much he's changed.
This Anime is so bad, I hope the fans of the Sports Anime 2021 Trinity don't come for me lol
Final score: 4/10
Tokyo Revengers (Spring 2021)
⭐⭐⭐
Takemichi Hanagaki’s second year of middle school was the highest point in his life. He had respect, a gang of friends he could count on, and even a girlfriend. But that was twelve years ago. Today, he’s a nobody: a washed-up nonentity made fun of by children and always forced to apologize to his younger boss. A sudden news report on the Tokyo Manji Gang’s cruel murder of the only girlfriend he ever had alongside her brother only adds insult to injury. Half a second before a train ends his pitiful life for good, Takemichi flashes back to that same day twelve years ago, when he was still dating Hinata Tachibana.
After being forced to relive the very same day that began his downward spiral, Takemichi meets Hinata’s younger brother. Without thinking, he admits to his seeming death before flashing back to the past. Takemichi urges him to protect his sister before inexplicably returning to the future. Miraculously, he isn’t dead. Stranger still, the future has changed. It seems as though Takemichi can alter the flow of time. Given the chance to prevent his ex-girlfriend’s tragic death at the hands of the Tokyo Manji Gang, Takemichi decides to fly through time to change the course of the future.
Ok little disclaimer: I only watched like 5 episodes of the first cour since my brother and my cousin forced me to. When I was in Turkey my cousin told me to keep watching and since I didn't have enough internet to watch the Anime, i just binged the Manga in 2 weeks. It was SO good. Please go and read Tokyo Revengers. Just wanted to mention all of this to say that I only really watched the second cour, so the Valhalla Arc.
The adaptation was pretty good imo, the animation was weird at some points, for example in the Bloody Halloween fight where Draken and that little bastard Hanma went against each other, but it was more funny than disappointing so it's not that bad.
They nailed Baji's death, that scene was so good my cousin literally cried waterfalls. My brother actually filmed us while watching this episode and you can just see me going through the 5 stages of grief when Baji said his last words and Chifuyu screamed his guts out (kudos to the VA, great job you almost made me cry). Sadly I can't post it on here.
Crybaby is an absolute banger, it's probably gonna be in my Top 5 on Spotify Wrapped, that's how often I listened to that song 😭
Final score: 8/10
Uramichi Oniisan (Summer 2021)
⭐⭐⭐
In the studio of the morning childrens' show "Together with Mama," a crew of miserable adults prepares their facades of amicable smiles and cheerful exteriors to educate a group of innocent preschoolers. In the middle of it stands Uramichi Omota, a former gymnast who can't help but bring the kids down to earth by revealing the harsh and depressing reality of adulthood, even in front of the rolling cameras.
Behind the scenes, Uramichi's much-desired peace is disturbed by his two bothersome juniors who work as the show's rabbit and bear mascots and singers: Utano Tadano, a woman who only wishes to get married; and Iketeru Daga, a handsome man with a crass sense of humor. From smoking and exercising to nihilistic outbursts, everyone's big brother Uramichi always brings up the not-so-moral side to his life lessons.
I don't have much to say about Uramichi Oniisan. I laughed a bit, it served it's purpose as a comedy Anime but was still depressing and made you think.
Kumatani has my heart in a grip, I love him so much.
I also love Mamoru Miyano, Dream On ( the ED) is also probably gonna be in my Spotify Wrapped.
Final score: 7/10
🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇
Ok thanks to everyone who actually took the time to read this and enjoyed it. Sadly, I have to say that I didn't include anything from Fall 2021 since all I did during this time is binge fucking Naruto to feed my brainrot and wasn't interested in watching Seasonals.
I did however try to watch Blue Period, takt OP Destiny and Komi Can't Communicate, but none of them left a great impression on me, and since I don't have the motivation to continue this list I don't feel the need to force myself to write anything about them.
Oh I also watched that show with the girl who can see ghosts and ignores them or something like that but there was so much damn fanservice that I dropped it after like 2 episodes.
I don't know if I will write another one of these lists next year, let's just see if my goal to become less lazy in 2022 will become true.

What are your anime suggestions, I’ve been trying to get into it but I don’t really know what to watch
Hey there! and yeeesss, i’m so glad you’re gonna give anime a try! there are so many good stories and plots in anime which dont exist in western media so it’s a great mode of entertainment! so as for recs, lemme copy and paste my previous answer to this similar question and update it to answer yours!
As for starter anime, I think these are good ones you can start with and have received widespread acclaim:
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
Hunter X Hunter
Gakuen Babysitters (feel good anime that has babies!!)
Yuri! On Ice (gay anime)
Madoka Magica
Cowboy Bebop
—–
You can keep track of what I watch and watched through following my MyAnimeList account:
https://myanimelist.net/profile/carlowesome
I do my best to update that one. It’s kinda like an active anime journal where you can document the anime you watch, plan to watch, and completed but here are individual links for each
watched - https://myanimelist.net/animelist/carlowesome?status=2
watching - https://myanimelist.net/animelist/carlowesome?status=1
to watch - https://myanimelist.net/animelist/carlowesome?status=6
If you need to read like some opinions about all the anime I watch and have watched then click ‘Read More’. I put a mini paragraph next to each anime and also categorize them. However, i don’t want to overwhelm you too much but I’ll just put this down for your reference anyway.
[last updated: 28 Apr 2018]
Currently watching:
Neon Genesis Evangelion - i admit it has a slow buildup but be patient because you will really find it intense and see how it’s not your typical mecca anime. so far, i think it seems to be a deconstruction of the genre and has alot of psychological themes
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood - i dont know why my memory about this anime is somehow a blur. i’m sure i finished it but also not so i’m rewatching it and honestly i think this is a good starter anime. i know many people who do not normally watch anime and watched this
Boku no Hero Academia - it’s a recent anime and it’s really good! i think it’s on course to becoming a really big anime that will last many seasons at this rate. the story is about a world where majority of the inhabitants are heroes cause they have quirks (powers).. and the premise is that the main character doesnt have one but he wants to be a hero so watch and see how the story unfolds
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures (currently on Stardust Crusaders) - macho anime with an excellent plot! the guys are hot haha and many of the memes are in japanese so watch the original subbed but if you prefer not to read, the dub isnt bad. it’s very memey but the story is really entertaining and has unpredictable moments
One Punch Man - a parody of a superhero anime. tbh this isnt really binge-watch material cause it’s like a running gag and the story unfolds after episode 5 so i’ve just been watching this during my cardio days in the gym. but it’s a parody of a superhero anime
Hunter X Hunter - this anime is popular and it’s about hunters. so the beginning has the protagonist wanting to be a hunter and then he meets some fellow hunters along the way. it’s one of the highest rated anime in MyAnimeList (the RottenTomatoes equivalent of the anime world) so yeah check this out!
Tokyo Ghoul - the opening song is what captivated me to watch this tbh. although i heard the manga is better. it’s interesting though
Anime currently airing and I’m caught up on (just waiting for the next season to air)
Gakuen Babysitters - super feel good anime about babies!!!!!
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun - super funny anime. if you need a laugh, this will really lift you up. i watched the first two episodes in sub and dub back to back.. and i can vouch that the voice actors for the English dub are excellent. it’s actually even funnier.. but if you prefer subs, then that’s fine. it’s just the lines are more humorous, expressive and have more variety :) Nozaki’s voice is also attractive in the dub.. it’s still very Nozaki imo. this anime pokes fun at the shoujo manga yet still has romantic elements. it’s mostly comedy though
Shingeki no Kyojin / Attack on Titan - it’s the Game of Thrones of anime imo.. like it’s so GOOD.. it will just make you gag after every episode!!! it’s so intense and there are really badass characters. and the plot is really brilliant. like if you think season 1 was like WHAT THE FUCkk.. wait til season 2! this anime is crazy and exciting. not for the faint-hearted tbh cause it can be graphic and disturbing (also dont get attached. they could die!) but yeah, this anime is popular true and some say it’s overrated but that’s because it really deserves all the recognition and success it has for its amazing plot
Anime watched/finished:
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure (Battle Tendency) - SONO CHI NO SADAMEEE JOOOOOOJOOOOOOOOOOOOOO the type of anime that’ll get you wanting to go to the gym and lift. that being said, it has a really amazing story
Kimi no Na Wa - universally lauded and recently released! it’s the best film released in 2016 imo. i swear it’s really next level storytelling
Rurouni Kenshin - i think i watched this anime twice/thrice.. It’s so suspenseful. it’s about samurais. and this anime made me interested about Japan’s history. it’s kind of a period drama with amazing fight sequences. and it’s critically acclaimed. it’s my father’s all-time favourite anime
Rurouni Kenshin OVA - it’s a prequel. also more violent and tragic than its anime counterpart.. like it’s really different from the series. but it’s so good. you’ll find out how Kenshin got his iconic X mark from here!)
Ghost Stories - THE DUB IS A MASTERPIECE! THE SUBBED IS SHIT. TRUST ME. the DUB is the popular one too cause it’s the superiour version. You really have to see this one. the anime bombed in Japan so the english dubbers got all the rights for the anime and they gave the go signal for the dubbers to do whatever the fuck they want and the end result is fucking hilarious. it shits on the Scary Movie Franchise tbh
Puella Magi Madoka Magica - i swear do not be deceived.. it is a really intense and surprisingly dark anime with excellent plot twists
Jigoku Shoujo / Hell Girl - angst, tragedy, philosophical anime analysing humanity’s hatred, need for vengeance, and suffering. Futakomori or the 2nd season is my favourite but it’s worth finishing the entire series. 3rd season is very painful to watch though and you dont have to watch that one tbh if you dont want to lol
Love Live! School Idol Project - i honestly just watched this like out of curiosity and just for kicks. i was not expecting to love it but after episode 3, i was like wait??? wasnt this anime supposed to be fun?? why am i crying?? so yeah, it’s super good, touching, entertaining and sweet! and the songs are really catchy and good.. TBH this anime is like so gay since there are no men (except Honoka’s dad) so yeah it passes the Bechdel Test with perfect score
Love Live! Movie - the conclusion to the anime!
Love Live! Sunshine - i watched this like a few months after finishing the original series cause i loved the original girls and i was worried i wont like these girls.. but honestly, you will appreciate them. and it has more gay subtext. btw tell me who your fave girls/best girls are after watching Love Live and Sunshine. my best girls are Umi Sonoda and Kanan Matsuura :>
Yu Yu Hakusho - occult, spirit world, ghosts, and fighting. you most probably have heard of this
Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters - 1st series starring Yugi is iconic. it might seem juvenile though so i’m not sure if you will like it but the anime is really good if you love the card games
Digimon - can be very intense! better than Pokemon imo
Cardcaptor Sakura - this is also suspenseful. like the premise is essentially that Sakura has to catch all the “monsters” that were freed from this book. and it’s up to her to “capture” them and put into cards. magic, fantasy, and beautiful animation
Ranma ½ - this was so funny but the ending was disappointing cause it got cancelled apparently.. i really hope this will go out of limbo and give us a proper ending like InuYasha did but i doubt it
Danganronpa (murder plot twists, intense and despair-filled storyline. click this to know more about the premise. it’s like Battle Royale meets CSI meets How To Get Away With Murder. btw i highly suggest you play this game (it’s available on Steam) instead of watching the poorly condensed anime. so buy it on steam or you can download it how you like cause it’s one of the best games ever. and if you plan on watching this, there is no Danganronpa 2 anime so yeah just play the first game tbh. here’s a trailer of the game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwJeZPMhdUk. if ya dont wanna play the games then you can watch the anime. and after watching this, here’s a link of the playthrough of the 2nd game. it’s super fun, full of plot twists, and interactive)
Yuri On Ice - it’s a really cute gay anime. people will argue it isnt and its queerbait but i’m gay and alot of the things which happen are too much for just bros to do so yeah, i believe it’s canon gay or mlm. and i enjoyed it so you watch it and be the judge
Blood+ - vampires and sword fighting
Ghost In The Shell - it’s a sci-fi movie
Yakitate Japan - baking and cooking!
Getbackers - still up to debate if the duo are gay but if you google art of them, there have been official art released and it’s so gay lol. but yeah it’s shonen genre and it’s not canon gay
Cowboy Bebop - a CLASSIC. the dub is great!!
I don’t remember if i finished these but I watched a lot of episodes enough to recommend it and will rewatch them soon to relieve memories. I’m pretty sure I tuned in though and watched like 80%:
Fushigi Yuugi (i think this is shoujo but it has a nice adventure storyline)
Gundam series (i think i finished the first Gundam and the second)
Tsubasa Chronicles (it’s like a spin-off of Cardcaptor Sakura but they’re like all grown up and the plot is different)
Naruto
One Piece (i watched like the first four seasons)
Bleach (i remembered watching until episode 40 omg)
Great Teacher Onizuka (this is so funny tbh. i think i watched almost all of it)
Studio Ghibli films I watched:
Spirited Away
The Wind Rises
Ponyo
Tales from Earthsea
Anime I plan to watch (many suggested this to me and i plan on watching them so i’ll write them down here) :
Koe no Katachi (A Silent Voice)
Anohana The Flower We Saw That Day
Re: Zero
Your Lie in April
Shin sekai Yori
Gintama
More of Makoto Shinkai’s movies like 5 centimetres per second, etc.)
More Ghibli films too
Final Fantasy XV: Kingsglaive (after i finish FFXV game im watching this one)
Persona 4
Here you go!!!! I know it’s an extensive list. I’ll probably make this a masterpost of anime recs and will update this list, and add more soon. If you have any questions or anything, don’t be shy to message me! :)

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood  (i feel like i actually finished this. idk why my memory is hazy concerning this anime. this is so popular. you should’ve heard of this iconic anime somehow. i watched and tuned in but i don’t remember how or when i stopped)

Anohana The Flower We Saw That Day
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Tokyo Ghoul

Your Lie in April
Shin sekai Yori
Gintama
