"Jun! Can you tell your dog to get the fuck off me?" Minghao attempts to shove away the ever-persistent golden retriever pawing and licking at his face, but Jun doesn't seem to hear, seemingly engrossed on something else entirely in the kitchen.
Minghao just groans annoyedly, and just as he's about to call out for his best friend's name again, a thought crosses his mind. A sort-of stupid one that he knows won't work, but he'll try it out anyway.
He brings a hand up, watching the dog follow it with curiosity, and he points to the ground while firmly saying, "Down."
Unfortunately, the dog only tilts his head inquisitively, as if dazed and confused by the action, before relentlessly pouncing on the boy again, and all he could do is surrender himself to the attack of excitement. Right, he thinks, these animals don't exactly understand him normally.
Jun finally emerges from the kitchen after what feels like an eternity, a black cat cuddled gently in his arms, lightly running his fingers through its fur carefully. When he picks his head up, he could only chuckle at the sight in front of him. Minghao only rolls his eyes, shooting a playful glare to his best friend who only seems amused.
"Your dog is a menace," Minghao declares, wiping away the slobber from his face.
"Come on! Gyu just likes you."
"I'm not sure I share the sentiment right now," Minghao replies almost coldly, perhaps even half-jokingly, attempting to regain his composure.
Jun just sighs and sends out a whistle from his lips to get the dog's attention. And with a subtle look from just his eyes, as if sending a silent signal, Gyu hops off the couch and trots over to Jun, letting out a few barks in response.
"He says he doesn't like your attitude today," Jun translates, setting the cat in his hands down on the floor. "but he's forgiven you."
"Gee, thanks," Minghao scoffs and crosses his arms together, still trying to maintain a façade of irritation, though it's quite easy to see right through it.
He watches for some time as Jun crouches down to the dog's level, the two of them communicating in a way he knows he can never understand, but is grown to be amazed by every time. It isn't a secret that he knows that his own best friend can communicate with animals, as strange as that might sound (because... it's true), but it's a fact he's fully accepted.
Jun probably has more animal friends than human friends at this point. He's made friends with the birds at the park, the stray cats that roam the streets, a deer that comes to visit occasionally behind his place, an otter that frequents at a nearby pond, hell even one of the tigers at the zoo𑁋the list goes on.
And not to exactly complain, but he also really wants Jun to find a fucking partner.
Not that it's a bad thing Jun isn't seeing anyone, and it totally isn't the entire reason why Minghao is here right now. He has tried to set Jun up on dates, but the older boy almost always manages to find some excuse or simply doesn't show up, claiming he got caught up in a conversation with a stray cat or a butterfly on the way. Or the date ends up in disaster with a chase down the street of the neighbourhood raccoons stealing food.
But then again, that's Jun for you𑁋unpredictable.
"One more date."
Jun raises his head, and the moment he sees that particular smirk to Minghao's face, he groans.
"No."
"Oh, come on, just one more," Minghao insists. "I promise you'll like them. They're an animal lover."
"Just because they're an animal lover doesn't mean𑁋"
"You're either going to be drinking 'till you're absolutely couch-ridden on new year's because you're single and lonely again, or you could be celebrating with someone special. Your call, dude."
Jun finds his face flushing out of embarrassment, scratching absentmindedly behind Gyu's ears as Minghao's words wash over him. Then his features soften, and he lets out a sigh.
"Fine," he relents. "One more."
Tumblr media
Shit, he's screwed. The minute Minghao told him the date would be happening in the middle of the park where he often chatted with the local squirrels and ducks, Jun knew this already wouldn't end well.
He also had quite the love-hate relationship with blind dates𑁋or dates in general, to be honest𑁋and the thought of meeting a stranger made his palms sweat even with the cold threatening through his thick coat (he's convinced that Minghao is pulling anyone out of his ass at this point).
The park is covered with a light blanket of snow, the trees standing tall and glowing with strings of fairy lights against the grey winter sky. Jun shivers in place and adjusts the scarf around his neck, partially from the cold and partially from the impending awkwardness he anticipates.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry for being late! The traffic was awful coming here and I got a bit lost..."
The voice is frantic and panicky to Jun's ears akin to his equally panicking heart, who turns around to a figure rushing up to him, covered in layers and letting out misty breaths that appear in the air.
"It's okay," Jun says, voice coming out a bit awkward. He offers a reassuring smile. "I'm, uh... Jun, by the way."
"Y/N," You say, relieved as you finally catch your breath and look up at him with a cute grin. "I'm so sorry for being late. I hope you weren't waiting for too long."
"Oh, not at all. I... just got here as well." It's a bit of a white lie𑁋he was beginning to worry you ditched him, honestly. Jun feels his hands fidget in his pockets nervously, yet he sees the ease that washes over your features at his words, and he relaxes slightly. There's something about the way you carry yourself and the slight blush on your cheeks from the cold that eases some of his tension.
And maybe, just maybe, his heart stutters a little at your smile, like a startled butterfly in his chest. Did the lights at the park grow brighter?
"Would you like to, uh, maybe grab some hot chocolate?" Jun suggests, gesturing towards the small, lit up kiosk nestled in the corner of the park that seemed quite busy with customers. "It can help... warm you up."
Your eyes light up to his words, grinning. "That sounds perfect, actually."
As you both walk towards the kiosk, the air seems to crackle with a nervous energy Jun hadn't expected. Despite the awkwardness gnawing at him, he can't deny the strange sense of hope fluttering in his stomach, somewhat like a small bird unsure of its flight. He's not the best at dates and probably never will be, but for some reason, feeling this sort of apprehension is unlike anything else he's felt. It's not uncomfortable per se, but more... exciting?
The two of you stand in the back of the line, shoulder-to-shoulder, hands tucked deep in your pockets and sharing silences punctuated by the occasional nervous giggle when your eyes meet. The line at the kiosk is surprisingly long, a mix of bundled-up families with laughing children and young couples warming their hands around steaming plastic cups.
When your shoulder brushes against his, Jun freezes for a moment, feeling a warmth spreading through him that has nothing to do with the hot chocolate. He steals a glance at you, finding your gaze already on him, and there's a shy smile that you both share before you look away first.
Then Jun notices it𑁋you're shivering.
It's almost imperceptible at first, a slight tremor running through your shoulders as you shift your weight from foot to foot. He hesitates for a moment, then a nervous breath leaves him. Fuck it.
Without a word, he unravels the wooly scarf from around his neck and drapes it over you, fingers lingering for just a moment longer than necessary as he adjusts it comfortably. You blink up at Jun with wide eyes.
"Sorry I, uh... noticed you were cold," he mumbles, scratching the back of his head in embarrassment.
You glance at him, surprise evident in your eyes, and then you chuckle. "Are you sure? I don't want you to freeze."
"I'll be alright," Jun just assures calmly, though the chill creeping up his neck is a bit hard to hide now.
The line moves forward, and soon you're ordering hot chocolate for the both of you. Jun pays for both, insisting with a small nod when you attempt to pull out your wallet.
As Jun and you clutch the steaming cups, the warmth radiating through the thin plastic felt almost comforting. The park bustles around you, but with each sip, the outside world seems to fade away, leaving only the diffident hum of conversation and the fluttering hope that dances between you.
"So, uh, what kind of animals do you like?" Jun asks, trying to break the ice as you both trail down an empty path close to the icy pond nearby. He's not exactly smooth with conversation, but he figures asking about your supposed love for animals is a safe bet. "I've been told you like them."
Your eyes light up as you take a swift, long sip of the hot chocolate, the warmth quickly spreading through you.
"Oh, all kinds!" You answer eagerly. "I volunteer at an animal shelter not that far from here and take care of the injured ones. I have a lot of pets at home too𑁋a hamster, a dog, a few cats, a rabbit... How about you?"
You spoke so quickly that Jun could barely register it all, but he can't help but grin at your enthusiasm. It’s almost infectious.
"Wow, I have, uh... a dog and a cat at home... Gyu and Woozi are their names," Jun replies slowly, almost unsurely.
"That's really cute!" You tell him, catching the way the corners of his lips crinkle up just slightly and how he has to angle his face down just to hide it. "My hamster's name is Hoshi! My dog is Minnie, my rabbit is Hannie, and my cats are Wonu, Nonie..."
Listening to you list your pets' names and some of the ones you've taken care of at the shelter makes Jun feel just a tiny bit lighter with each step he takes with you, and also from the way your eyes sparkle with every word you spoke. He finds himself letting out giggles at your stories of Hoshi's escape attempts and Min's stubborn streak, and for the first time in a long time, he feels truly comfortable, truly seen in a way that didn't feel fake.
Yet it doesn't take long for that feeling to falter just slightly. He doesn't know what Minghao exactly told you about him, or if anything at all𑁋how does he explain to you that he can quite literally talk to animals?
He knew that spilling the beans could go one of two ways: either you'd think he was crazy, or you'd be amazed (and maybe even a little scared). He's never exactly revealed it to any person he goes on a date with because, in the end, after a handful of mishap encounters with animals that don't mean to ruin the date, they end up leaving anyway.
Should he tell you? The words dance on his tongue, ready to tumble out, but that unwanted fear of rejection holds him back once again.
But before he can say anything, a squeaky quack pierces through the air, snapping Jun out of his thoughts. He looks down to see a small duckling waddling towards them, its tiny yellow head bobbing with each step. It stops in front of you, tilting its head inquisitively as it looks you up and down curiously, before heading to Jun's feet and quacking loudly.
It's Boo, one of the park's young resident chatterboxes who loves nothing more than socialising and the occasional spread of gossip. Jun had befriended Boo a while back, often sharing stories and snacks by the pond. But what was Boo doing here, and why does he look so worried? Jun could almost hear a frantic heartbeat echoing through the duckling's chest.
Boo lets out a series of rapid quacks. Jun strains to decipher the splurge of words, picking up snippets about stolen food and a local raccoon, and... how one of his siblings is stuck somewhere.
"Oh my gosh, you're so cute!" You exclaim, kneeling down upon noticing the young duck in front of Jun and extending a tentative hand. "What are you doing out here, little one? You're going to freeze."
Jun could only listen as the distraught duck spills its frustration on you. Yet you didn't understand anything, only continuing to coo about how cute the duckling is, and Jun watches as Boo looks up at him with pleading eyes, urging him to do something. He knew he had to act, but he glances at you, still kneeling with outstretched hand at Boo, and his mind races.
Should he explain his... ability to you and risk making you uncomfortable? Or maybe try to handle it on his own, somehow decipher Boo's instructions and lead you on a cryptic animal rescue mission that might look completely bizarre, delusional, and psychotic?
"Do you think it's lost?" You ask worriedly, glancing back up at Jun. And when his gaze catches yours, warm and hopeful in the glow of the fairy lights surrounding you, a surge of determination pulses through him.
Jun only quietly chuckles at Boo's attempts to tell you his name, his tiny feathered body vibrating with slight annoyance, but your gentle cooing and outstretched hand seem to soothe him a little. The sight stirs something deep within him, a warmth that spreads beyond the simple comfort of the hot chocolate from earlier.
"He's not lost," Jun says, his gaze meeting yours. "He's... a friend. And he's telling us a story. Oh, and his name is Boo, by the way."
Your brow furrows in confusion, a tiny crease appearing between your eyes. “You… understand ducks?”
Jun offers a hesitant smile, a knot of anxiety twisting in his stomach. There's no going back now.
“It’s a bit more than that,” he admits sheepishly, watching your expression shift from curious to intrigued. “I can, um, like... sort of talk to animals, I guess. Or they sort of talk to me, basically, yeah..."
The silence that follows is deafening. Jun braces himself for a wave of disbelief, rejection, maybe even a startled shriek. But instead, your eyes widen with awe, a growing smile forms on your lips, and Jun can't quite bring himself to tear his gaze away from you. He'd taken a leap of faith, and you, instead of running for the hills, were looking at him with... wonder?
"Wow, that's..." You breathe, voice hushed with wonder. "I-I mean I always knew that... sort of existed? Like, in research papers and ancient history, but meeting someone who can actually do it is just..."
Jun blinks, a bit taken aback by your reaction.
"You're not... freaked out or anything?" he asks cautiously. "Like... you actually believe me?"
"Jun." You turn to him, shifting so that your knees are slightly touching in the snow. "Minghao told me like... a lot of things, or tried to at least. I mean, at first I found it ridiculous, then I realised that this is Xu Minghao telling me this, and if he's vouching for you, it must be true. And, well... I really wanted to get to know you too."
Oh. "Oh," Jun mutters, cheeks flushing and face burning. Minghao, of course. He should have known his best friend with a 'credible' reputation wouldn't simply set him up on a blind date without throwing him under the bus a little bit. "I mean, it-it's nothing too fascinating. No mind-reading or telepathy exactly, just… understanding their gestures and stuff. It's kind of like learning a new language, you know?"
"Well, can you tell me what Boo is saying then?" You quirk up expectantly, and Jun swears he cannot handle more than five seconds of you peering at him without melting completely. His heart does a little double flip in his chest, landing somewhere around his ankles.
Jun chuckles, a warm sound that feels right at home amidst the snowy air. Then he takes a deep breath, steadying himself under your gaze, before turning his attention back to the little duck at his feet.
"Alright, alright," he teases, ruffling Boo's feathers playfully. "Don't get jealous, little guy. Spill it."
Boo then goes on an insistent frenzy of quacks, and you could only watch in awe as Jun listens carefully, nodding and humming in response. There's a certain magic in the air that you can sense, as if you've stepped right into a fairytale of some sorts. The small duckling then looks up at you with begging eyes, as if seeking your help as well. Jun shoots you a quick glance, and you can see the uncertainty in his eyes.
"He's pretty worked up," he admits, clearing his throat. "He's telling me about a raccoon that stole his flock's food, and... um, one of his siblings is stuck in a log somewhere. I have some food with me, but he wants to find his sibling first. He knows the way."
"Then let's do it," You say, rising to your feet and dusting off the snow on your pants.
Jun hesitates again, staring at you in slight disbelief𑁋you want to come with him? He glances at Boo, who lets out a frustrated quack, urging him to make a decision. Then he looks back at you, your kind eyes holding his own, and suddenly the choice becomes clear.
"Do you trust me?" Jun asks softly, his heart pounding in his chest.
You hold his gaze for a moment, a thoughtful look on your face. Then a smile blooms across your lips, one that reaches your eyes and seems to chase away the worry.
"I trust you," You answer, stretching an open hand towards him.
Jun feels a warmth spread through him, and he grabs your hand in his. Relief and something else courses through him, like excitement and perhaps a bit of fear. You were in, and that was all that mattered.
Boo lets out a triumphant quack, and with him waddling excitedly at your feet, you follow Jun deeper into the park, the fairy lights casting long shadows against the snow-covered ground. It's a strange sight𑁋you walking on one side of Jun and a duckling trotting on the other𑁋but with every step, whatever awkwardness that was lingering seems to melt away.
And maybe, just maybe, something else was blossoming too.

Hi baby! There is nothing awkward about this at all. You can always send me things like this ♥ I desperately hope your week has gotten better.
cw; chwe vernon x reader, smut (minor dni), fluff, praising, pet names, unprotected sex, just gentle moments with vernon -- lots of confessions of love

Vernon's lips brush over the back of your neck while his fingers link with yours bringing your hand with his over your thigh. His breath warm causing goosebumps to pop up across your flesh while his hips slowly press against you. His length buried so deeply inside of you that you see stars each time his hips meet your thighs making you moan his name on a breath.
"Baby...oh my god, you are perfect. Made for me, aren't you?" You nod making Vernon smile against your neck closer to your ear when you turn your head towards him trying to see him even just a bit. "I love you so much." The words linger in your chest and stomach as much as they do in your ears when he says them, your arousal only growing causing Vernon to groan low and soft into your ear.
"I love you too Vernon." You feel his smile widen before he presses his lips behind your ear, his arm moving with yours to hold you even tighter back against him while he quickens his pace only slightly. "Wanna make you feel so good darling. Like you make me feel...wanna make you cum for me."
His words mixed with how his cock was hitting you with each deep thrust was more than enough for you to give him what he wanted while he did exactly what he promised. The feeling of the coil snapping was euphoric, the sound escaping your lips so erotic that Vernon has to bite his own lip not to lose himself right then and there when you cum.
"Please Vernon..." You feel him nod, his face buried against your neck and shoulder, a breathy groan on his lips when he finally follows you into his own euphoria. The feeling of his release warm and filling causes you to moan his name. Your hand tightening in his, legs twisted around each other so that you can't tell where one of you began and the other ended.
"God, oh fuck. I love you, god I love you so much. You are so good, so perfect." You can't help but to smile at his confession and praising. His panting breaths still hot in the crook of your neck while he tries to calm down. Vernon smiles when you lean your head back against him, your hand only relaxing a bit as you circle your thumb along the back of his hand, a smile on your face.
"I love you too Vernon, more than anything."

Tumblr media
You stumble back against the wall in the corner of the club, lips pressed firm into yours and a hand tangled in your hair.
You had come to the club with your boyfriend, wanting to spice up your life a little bit, minghao was a model, and a pretty damn good one, however, it means you don't get much time alone together.
You didn't expect it to get so heated, you wonder how you got in this position, your boyfriend devouring your lips with his thigh slotted in between yours, slowly grinding it against your cunt, the room is filled with people, but they're all in their own world to care.
Most of them at least.
Hao pulls away, breath heavy and lips swollen, he stares at you, eyes dark with lust, not saying a word.
You moan softly as he grinds his thigh harder against you, flexing and tensing it under your needy cunt
“h-hao..”
your words lead into a moan, he only smirks, watching you fall apart under him from only his thigh.
Your head rolls to the side, looking over the club to make sure no one notices your dirty deeds.
Everyone is dancing, or drinking, not noticing a thing, except for one person. A man, sitting at a booth, a light illuminating him.
Blonde hair that runs down the back of his neck, big doe eyes burning a hole in you and your boyfriend, long slender fingers, the nails of which painted black, wrapped around his glass as he takes a sip of his drink, you can't look away, its almost like he's luring you in
“fuck…can feel you throbbing on me”
your boyfriend's voice snaps you back to reality, you look at him and grab his hips to stop his grinding
“hao, look”
you say as you gesture to the man at the table, hao snickers
“well he's enjoying the show”
He says as he wraps his arms around your waist
“he's hot, don't you think?”
You look back at your boyfriend as he pecks your lips
“you wanna talk to him?”
he asks, lovingly rubbing your sides, you nod.
He smiles and takes your hand, leading you to the table of the man whose gaze is still fixed on you, once you get to the table you see his outfit better, a cropped, tight turtleneck, showing off his slender waist and defined abs, a cropped leather jacket with matching leather gloves.
you bite your lip lightly as he sizes you two up, eyes stopping briefly on minghaos hard on showing through his jeans, he smirks. you speak first
“can we sit here?”
you say as you gesture to the empty seats across from him
“be my guest”
he replies, voice low, slightly raspy, you look at minghao and scooch into the booth, hao following after you. You smile at the man
“I saw you staring”
you say, a smug expression on your face
“yeah? What about it?”
He says, taking another sip of his drink, you hold your hand out to him, he shakes it
“I'm y/n, this is minghao”
you say, gesturing to your boyfriend
"wen junhui, a pleasure”
the man says, smirk tugging on his lips. You lean back in your seat, eyeing junhui up and down, before looking at hao, seeing him palming himself over his jeans, you chuckle
“y’know, wen junhui-” you start as you look at jun
“hao thinks your hot, he's just shy”
junhui chuckles
“yeah? He's not so bad looking himself”
junhui leans over the table towards minghao
“how can someone be hot, yet shy at the same time?”
Hao bites his lip, trying to find the right words to say, junhui speaks first
“anyway, you two seemed busy, I know of a private place you can go”
“Where?” you ask, leaning towards him, he leans forward too, your faces inches apart
“my house”
he says, shit-eating grin plastered on his face, you snicker
“is this your special way of asking to fuck?”
“mmh, maybe I wanna just watch”
you bite your lip and look at minghao
“what do you think?”
he simply nods, and you chuckle
“what? So horny you can't speak anymore?”
hao gulps and gets up, muttering a 'let's do it'
you smile and get up, looking over at junhui
“lead the way”
jun downs his drink before getting up, minghao snakes his arm around your waist as you two follow junhui through the club.
junhui gently pulls you by your hand to his car, he opens the passenger door, gesturing for you to get in
“ladies first”
he smiles at you as you get in the car, and minghao gets in the back seat behind you. junhui gets in the car and starts driving.
Tumblr media
you make it to his house, it's big, almost like a mansion, it has this gothic look to it, you get out of the car.
you feel a hand on your back, you look up and see junhui, he smiles at you, nudging you towards the door
“welcome to my humble abode”
You walk towards the house, juns hand guiding you, your boyfriend following behind.
this whole situation went from hot to creepy super fast.
jun opens the door, it creeks open, he takes your hand and leads you in, he takes his shoes off and looks at you, smiling.
you and minghao take your shoes off, sitting them by the door, jun cups your face, peering down into your eyes
“can I kiss you?”
he says softly, stroking your face with his thumb, minghao comes up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist, you nod.
jun leans down, he starts slow, molding his lips in the shape of yours. minghao attaches his lips to your neck, kissing and sucking at the sensitive parts.
jun pulls his jacket off, tossing it on a nearby table, accidentally knocking stuff off in the process, he doesn't seem to mind though.
he pulls away, looking down at you with glossy eyes, slight concern on his face
“you guys are being quiet, are you sure you're okay with this?”
he says as he pulls minghaos head up by his chin to look at him, you nod
“yeah it just… you're super… I don't know…mysterious, I don't really know what to say”
minghao nods
“and this is the first time we've don't this…”
jun smiles, petting your heads
“don't worry, just follow my lead”
jun takes you and minghaos hands, leading you through his home, down the hallway and into his room.
its dimly lit, walls a deep velvet color, canopy bed with black lace curtains and red sheets, a bottle of wine, and a few glasses sitting on the dresser.
jun gently pushes you and minghao onto the bed before going and pouring a glass of wine for himself
“go ahead, I'm not stopping you”
he says as he sits in a leather chair in the corner of the room, a slight smirk on his face
“I might try to tell you what to do during, I hope you don't mind”
He relaxes in the chair, taking a sip of his drink, you and minghao look at each other, hearing jun mutter a ‘go on' in his seat.
Minghao leans over, one hand going to cup your face and the other to your hip as he kisses you, you tangle your hand in his light blue locks, moving to straddle his body.
you kiss passionately, pretending like you are not in someone else's house, whose gaze is currently burning a hole in you, minghao runs his hand down your back and lands a slap against your ass, causing you to moan Into his mouth, you feel his hard cock pressed up against your clothed cunt, you rut against it, trying to desperately get some friction.
he flips you over and lies you flat on your back, he stands on his feet and stares down at you, lip caught in between his teeth and eyes dark with lust, he pushes your dress up and rubs your clit through your panties, feeling how soaked you are already
“Jesus, so wet for me”
he says, a low growl coming after, he pulls your panties to the side and spreads your legs, letting jun see your pretty pussy as he abuses your sensitive nub.
He rubs your clit, going agonizingly slow, you whine
“hao…”
You squirm, hoping somehow in the middle of your squirming a finger would slip off your clit and land perfectly in your neglected hole, but at last, your boyfriend has a grip on your waist, so that's not going to happen anytime soon.
Minghao finally slips a finger in your cunt, licking his lips as he watches his finger disappear in your hole, hao grinds subtly on the bed, trying to get some relief as he fingers you, you hear jun chuckle, you look over, he swirls the wine in his glass as he watches you, bulge prominent in his pants now, he chuckles again
“aw, the prince tries so hard to be dominant, but yet he's humping the bed like a fucking puppy”
haos eyes flutter shut as he stops his movements at juns words
“don't stop, keep finger fucking her, prince, make her cum”
hao moves his hand again, adding a second finger as he vigorously flicks his wrist, sending his fingers knuckle deep into your cunt.
Minghao rubs your clit in circles, you feel your orgasm fast approaching as you hold onto haos arm, moans slip out your lips as minghaos slender fingers brush up against the spongy spot in your cunt that make the eyes roll back in your head.
you feel minghao spit on your clit, adding to the wetness, after a few more harsh flips of his wrist, you cum, your back arching off the bed and eyes rolling back as he rides you through your orgasm, peppering sweet kisses to your cheek as you come down from your high, hao presses a kiss to your lips and mumbles
"such a good girl"
as he pulls his fingers out. a sweet moment is cut short by jun speaking up again
"aww, isn't that nice, do you want more, princess?"
jun asks, he had already walked over to you and hao without you even noticing, he leans over your fucked out frame, he cups your face, black nails tapping against your skin, you nod
"y-yes...m-more..want more"
he grins
"well, your gonna have to be patient first"
he says, pecking your lips before focusing his attention to the other male, he leans over hao, studying his features, he cups his face
"such a pretty boy, should be a model"
jun mumbles
"i-i am"
minghao says, attempting to pull jun into a kiss, but he stands his ground
"oh?"
jun says mockingly
"you're a model? don't you think it's risky what you did tonight? picking up a man with your girlfriend, what if your agent sees?"
jun teases, hao groans
"I dont care about that, please, just kiss me"
jun chuckles, pulling hao into a kiss, you push yourself onto your palms after gaining your composure, watching as your boyfriend makes out with another man.
hao sits at the edge of the bed, hands working at undoing the taller man's belt as they kiss, jun chuckles as he pulls off, swatting haos hands away as he pulls his belt out
"your just all eager to please, arent you, prince?"
hao nods and licks his lips as he watches jun pull his pants down, the outline of his cock prominent in his underwear.
you and hao look at each other in shock as you see the length of his cock, its almost inhuman, hao hooks his fingers under the waistband of juns underwear and pulls them down his thighs, letting his cock spring free.
Jun smiles, moving the hair out of the youngers face as he pumps his cock, hao lowers his mouth onto juns cock, letting the head hit the back of his throat, jun grunts and threads his fingers in haos hair, slowly rocking back and forth as he fucks his face.
You watch in amazement as your boyfriend expertly takes the huge cock stuffed down his throat, the older man slowly fucking his throat raw, tears fall down his face, his cheeks becoming red as the corners of his mouth get stretched, jun wipes the tears away from haos cheek.
jun speeds up his thrusts, noises becoming louder as his stomach tenses, jun quickly pulls haos head off his cock before he can cum, hao coughs and wipes his mouth, jun gently rubs the side of haos face
"you okay?"
jun asks, moving the hair off his face, hao nods
"i-im good"
his voice is slightly raspy. you grab juns thigh, a whine coming from your lips
"junnie...my turn yet?"
jun smiles
"of course, princess"
jun leans over you, pulling your dress over our head, he rubs your sides gingerly before looking at hao
"get your clothes off and sit at the headboard, kay?"
hao nods, pulling his shirt over his head, jun places a few kisses on your neck
"you properly stretched out, princess? I wouldn't want to hurt you"
you nod eagerly
"I'm ready for you"
he smiles and kisses your nose
"good"
he looks at hao as he sits against the headboard of the bed, his cock standing to attention, he looks back down at you
"do you wanna suck your boyfriend off while I fuck you from the back, princess?"
you nod
"yes...yes, please"
you say, arms reaching up to Jun, he smiles
"okay on all fours then, pretty"
you nod and flip around, face infront of minghaos cock and your ass in the air, ready for Jun.
minghao pets your head, looking down at you lovingly as you rest your head against his thigh
"feeling good, baby?"
minghao speaks softly, running his hand along your body
"yes, so good"
you sigh in content, waving your ass in the air, getting impatient that jun hasn't stuffed his cock in you yet.
you feel a smack landing on your ass, causing you to jolt forward and moan, jun leans over your body, head close to yours
"ready for me, princess?"
you moan as you feel the head of his cock brush against your folds
"yes, please"
he smiles
"so polite"
he pushes his cock in your cunt, the stretch painful but excilerating, he pushes your head towards haos cock
"get to work, wouldn't want to leave your prince hanging"
he bottoms out, staying still, letting you get used to his size, you put haos cock in your mouth, bobbing on it and licking it just like how you know he likes it.
jun slowly starts thrusting into you, groaning at the feelings of your gummy walls hugging his cock, he pushes on the small of your back, making you arch your ass out more, he holds onto your hips, thrusting into you harder.
you moan around minghaos cock, hao moans, watching juns perfect body as his hips sway with every thrust. jun starts going faster, pounding into you, getting lost in the feeling of your warm cunt, he leans over your body, pressing his lips to minghaos, letting his subtle grunts and groans being swallowed by the younger man.
hao guides your head up and down on his cock, feeling his orgasm fast approaching, jun pulls away, gripping so hard onto your hips that you think it might bruise, but you dont care, all you care about is the feeling of being stuffed with two cocks, one stuffed down your throat and another drilling into your cunt.
jun growls, hiding his face into the crook of your neck
"are you close? i dont think im going to last long"
he mutters into your shoulder, all you can do is let out a muffled moan and nod to the best of your ability.
minghao pulls your head off his cock, he shoots strings of hot load onto your face, you moan, jun pulls out momentarily, flipping you around to lay on your back, using haos thigh as a pillow, he leans back, pulling your arms as he thrusts into you as hard and fast as he can.
he cums, hard, shooting his load deep inside you, he doesn't pull out, he keeps thrusting until you cum too, your cum mixing on his cock.
he pants and looks down at you, completely fucked out, cum covering your face, he smiles.
"so pretty, aren't you?"
He presses a kiss to your cheek, then to haos. he pulls out and gets a box of tissues next to the bed, he wipes you off, he rubs your thigh lightly
"do you want me to run you two a bath?"
he asks softly, hao mutters out
"yes"
he chuckles and gets up
"okay, can you walk?"
you try to get up, but your limbs are too sore, you shake your head
"okay, princess, i got you"
jun says, pulling you into his arms, he begins walking out the room before turning back and looking at hao
"you comin?"

hi so i’d like to request a fic please, because i keep thinking about vernon stealing mingyu’s food. so consider mingyu who has (unknowingly) agreed to be vernon’s feeder so like vernon keeps stealing his food and mingyu starts bringing more food as snacks/ordering more food at restaurants and vernon sees this as a challenge meanwhile mingyu is just confused as to why this keeps happening lol
ok thank you!!
hello, friend!! sorry for the wait, i only took this long because of Real LifeTM and other stuff that doesn’t matter that much rn. what matters is that i finished and i actually loved to write it bc i love any vernon pairings tbh. chubby vernon is such an adorable concept!! i hope you enjoy your little fic, thanks for the request :3
🍜 responsability
when mingyu took jun’s place as hansol’s roommate, he had some instructions handed out to him. junhui made sure he knew about hansol’s weird sleeping schedules, his dissociative moments while listening to music, and overall quirky traits like meowing out of nowhere and staring into nothingness for hours, but what jun made sure to highlight among it all was hansol’s complete lack of ability when it came to cooking.
“he’s like a hopeless teenage boy, gyu,” jun had explained during a quick meeting they had to talk about the moving, chatting over coffee and pastries. “if no one’s paying attention, he lives off of bread and jam, you know?”
mingyu, after a sip of his americano, exhaled a light chuckle.
“that’s cute. how old did you say he is again?”
jun tapped at his chin. “he’s a 98, so 24.”
“yeah, should at least know how to fry an egg,” mingyu pondered, “but no problem, i can cook for two, you know i don’t mind.” he shrugged.
“cool. i have a feeling you two will get along,” jun affirmed, intending not only to assure mingyu but himself, since he didn’t want to be the one responsible for putting any of his friends in a bad situation.
“yeah, i’m rooting for it,” mingyu complemented, leaning back on his seat with a dreamy sigh.
turns out junhui was not wrong, but wasn’t totally right. they did get along pretty well, mingyu’s puppy-like personality filling the voids hansol’s cat-like one left, and vice-versa. sometimes, one had more ability to solve a problem, or could take over certain chores better than the other. that balanced out the moments that could be seen as a burden to their newly developed relationship, especially when it came to a topic that was, funnily enough, mentioned in advance: food.
mingyu discovered that, while hansol, if junhui was correct, would survive on bread and butter or something like that, it didn’t mean one. it didn’t mean he ate little. in fact, hansol was actually more akin to a human vacuum when it came to any edible thing available, which started to get on mingyu’s nerves as he never knew how much he should be cooking.
or for how long he should leave his meal out of his watch.
“hansol!” mingyu exclaimed, about to spit a train of curses. he sighed deeply and gestured in the air, “i was gone for two minutes, how the hell did you manage to vanish with my ramyeon?!”
hansol blinked one, two times, slurping the noodles in the process.
“sorry, hyung.” he didn’t look really sorry as he said that, which made mingyu squint his eyes in disbelief. “you left it unsupervised and i thought you could just make more if you really wanted it…”
“unsupervised? i was taking a phone call!” retorted mingyu, forcing his roommate to stop for an instant to think about another reply.
“well, it’d be cold when you got back…”
mingyu exhaled in defeat.
“alright. i’ll just make some more.”
in the middle of bringing more ramen to his lips, hansol stopped, eyes attentive:
“how much more?”
mingyu frowned. “haven’t you eaten your share already?”
“hmm, still hungry.” hansol rubbed his stomach unpretentiously, the loose t-shirt he wore hiding the slight roundness that was already settling on his lower belly.
mingyu gave himself a moment to consider, pondering if the boy was being too greedy or was indeed hungry still.
since he didn’t wanna risk being a prick and had to make a new portion anyway, he decided that adding a bit more wouldn’t hurt.
“ok.”
***
it kept happening. hansol’s never-ending appetite, mingyu’s ever-disposition to feed him. as the time passed, they became more comfortable around each other, their day to day dynamic much better than the beginning weeks of living together. chores were shared, personal space was respected, habits were learned. they functioned like proper roommates nowadays.
one particular thursday, mingyu entered the apartment with two plastic bags hanging from his hand, a paper one under his arm.
“brought takeout. too tired to cook for you today,” he informed, putting them on the dining room table.
hansol’s eyes glistened, a strange and curious feeling shining from them. mingyu was a bit confused, until he realized, “for us. i meant for us,” he corrected himself as he took the containers from the bags.
hansol, however, didn’t seem too affected by it. his hyung had said what he said.
“ah, mingyu hyung,” he purred in the sweetest voice possible as he opened the boxes. “you’re the best, you know?”
mingyu simply smiled, feeling a warm blush creep up his cheeks.
***
considering the basic maths of hansol constantly on the hunt for food, meanwhile mingyu made sure there was plenty available, even when he couldn’t cook himself, in three months there were surely some visible changes, precisely on hansol’s wardrobe and waistline. the loose shirts, shorts and pants weren’t so loose anymore, hugging tighter wherever his new weight settled: his soft, chubby (and adorable, mingyu thought every time a shirt rode up to reveal skin) belly, his squishy cheeks and arms, his supple thighs. no body part escaped from the routine of being pampered by his roommate.
and said roommate… well, mingyu got overwhelmed at first in the face of this new “obligation” he ended up taking responsibility for. from the first month, though, he started seeing as another part of his day, another duty as natural was brushing his teeth in the morning. plus, he did enjoy how much hansol seemed to like his food, as well as he sensed some weird kind of pride in watching him always getting full from it.
(did he dig too deep to understand that? no. would he be confronted with it anyway? sooner than he thought).
that happened when he came home to a sight he didn’t ever dream of, but it certainly seemed to have come out of one.
hansol was sprawled on the sofa, legs opened and body slouched, two hands over his shirtless torso, more exactly running over his distended stomach, which was obviously filled to its maximum.
his sweats no longer needed to have its strings tied, stretched under the curve his belly already made over his lap.
mingyu felt his face heat up. it’d be less embarrassing to have caught him naked, to be honest.
“h-hansol?”
the reply came first as a hiccup.
“yeah?”
mingyu walked with caution into the room, as if one wrong step would make him wake up from that weird dream.
“what did you… what did you do?” he asked, tone not a reprimand, but pure curiosity and… desire? he felt his head spin.
hansol breathed in and out, pressing his fingers on a few tight spots. he seemed to be concentrating on his mission in order to not appear affected by mingyu’s presence. “ate the lasagna you left in the oven… you cooked that for dinner, right?”
“hansol, that was supposed to be our dinner for three days,” mingyu pointed out, his expression communicating the shock that buzzed through his body. he got closer, eager to see hansol better. to touch him. “i thought you’d eat like half of it and leave the rest for the other nights!”
“oh…” hansol’s face was bright red, as red as the tomato sauce around his lips.
before mingyu could stop himself, he asked, “jesus, how did you fit all of that inside?”
another hiccup slipped from hansol’s mouth. this time, mingyu was able to witness how much it made the rolls on his hips and waist jiggle.
“p-practice?” he stuttered, now aware of the interest in the older man’s eyes. he decided to give his inner considerations a shot, “i’m no lightweight, hyung. never have been. dunno why you didn’t seem to believe that.”
mingyu’s eyebrows almost met in confusion.
“what? what do you mean believe?”
hansol made his best to sit straight, the weight of the food a ridiculous obstacle. he felt like he needed fo defend himself, “well, you kept increasing the portion sizes, and bringing more food! it’s like you wanted me to eat!”
mingyu was moving his arms in the air, frantically.
“hansol, what the fuck? i kept making and bringing more food because how else could i keep up with your appetite?!”
“oh.” with his arms behind his back, belly looking even bigger and making mingyu dizzy, hansol looked part cute and part sinful, the puzzled face turning into one of shame. mingyu wanted to bite him. “so it wasn’t like… a challenge or something?”
“what? no! why would i challenge you?”
“i don’t… i don’t know. you seemed happy when i ate. especially when it was something you made, but i figured it was the same when you brought it, too. so i kept trying my best to enjoy,” he justified, speech speed forcing him to stop to breathe. “i mean, clearly that had some consequences, but…” he gestured to his belly, shifting in place to accommodate himself better. it was the first time his gain was being openly acknowledged.
when hansol decided to finally meet mingyu’s eyes, he hiccuped one last time in surprise. no negative emotion laid there. quite the opposite.
“you’re ridiculous,” mingyu sputtered, taking a step closer so they almost touched.
hansol smiled, mischievously.
“hmm, am i?” he laid back again, rubbing his tummy like he was inviting, daring mingyu. “you kept making sure i was stuffed, so i don’t think you’re so innocent.”
“i wasn’t– shut up!” mingyu lost his composure, dropping his knees on the couch and pushing hansol’s arm. “you’re the one who can barely move right now, i wouldn’t be so big-mouthed about this.”
hansol whined.
“hyung.” he grabbed mingyu’s hand, guiding it to his abdomen. “you need to take responsibility for what you’ve done.”
mingyu sighed. big sigh. why fight it?
“you little fucker,” he cursed, grip tigheting on the softness of hansol’s lower belly. “you’re a spoiled brat, that’s what you are.”
“hmm?” hansol hummed, his palm onto mingyu’s knuckles in the intention of guiding his movements.
although mingyu accepted it, he also sat properly, pulled hansol closer to cuddle him and joined with his previous free hand, pinching side rolls just to see hansol yelping.
“keep still. tell me if it hurts,” he ordered, a pang on both his heart and between his legs as hansol sighed, satisfied.
at a certain moment, mingyu had to pinch himself to just to make sure that wasn’t a strange hallucination, especially when hansol’s whines became more of pleasure than of protest. he kept rubbing the space until it was almost completely soft, drinking hansol’s little noises like they were a heavenly beverage.
after a suave nibble on his neck, mingyu inquired, “do you still have room for dessert?”

cozy and warm (and safe in his arms)

pairing: non-idol!jun x gn!reader
prompt: snowed in
word count: 0.5k~
warning: admittedly some sexual tones but nothing happens. implied smut sometime after fic ends.
daisy’s notes: every time i write abt snow im like wow. i miss snow.
Tumblr media
Being snowed in was probably one of the worst things to happen to you and Junhui while you were on a short vacation for just the two of you.
There were good things, though: you had enough firewood inside your cabin to keep a fire going, plus you still had power which means things weren’t too bad outside. But this was your first actual day of your vacation, and the two of you were going to go on a morning hike just to enjoy the forest and all it had to offer. And then the two of you would have come back and made breakfast and just enjoyed the quiet parts of nature for once. It was an escape from the city before you had to go back to your busy jobs.
Jun watched you flop back onto the bed. “Is it bad?”
You let out a groan instead, and he reached over to start pulling you into his arms again. “I called someone and they said it’d be fine. Just... something about snow falling off of the trees and blocking in the door. It’s stupid.”
“Ah.” Jun nuzzled his face into your neck. “So we’re stuck inside?”
“Until the guy gets up here to shovel the snow out of the way,” you shut your eyes, “yeah.”
“Well...” His hands slid down your sides, “I know a good way to entertain you and keep you warm--”
Jun always knew how to make you laugh. You playfully swat at his hands, and push yourself back into his chest as he wraps his arms back around you. “Maybe later.” You didn’t want to get anything started and then have to stop because someone was letting you know the door was freed.
As if to tease you, he planted a quick kiss against your neck--right where he knew you were the most sensitive. “There’s the books you brought that you were going to read in the car on the way here...”
The very same books that’d been sitting on your shelf for at least a month at this point. In your defense, you’d been too busy to read for fun. “Please go back to seducing me.”
He softly laughed, hot breath fanning your skin as he did. “Or... You can stay right here,” he hugged you a smidge tighter, as if to display how comfortable his arms were, “with me and cuddle, and then we can make breakfast in an hour. And then we can go on our hike.”
You snuggled as close to him as you could get. “I like that more,” you shut your eyes. “Is that your way of seducing me?”
“Is it working?”
The playful tone of his voice made you smile. “It might be.”
“Good,” he pecked your neck gently. You could feel the way he was smiling against your skin. He murmured a gentle “I love you” against your skin (that you returned in kind, happy to just be in his arms) and reached around to find your hand. If he clasped his hand around your fingers, he could feel the engagement ring press against his own.
You could definitely get used to this for the rest of your life.

10: What fic made you feel the happiest to work on?
I was happiest, I think, when writing my junhao fic! It gave me no end of trouble when I was trying to tie all the loose ends together, but when I was just writing the Vibes I had the time of my life!
15: Rec a fic you wrote or posted in 2023
I am going to recommend my jeongbin gym bros fic. I will be honest, the majority of this was written back in 2021 - but I wrote the last half and finished it up this year, so it still counts haha.
20: Share your favourite ending line
I'm going to cheat and give you three lines, but my favourite ending is the ending of my junhao fic - I had a lot of trouble trying to think of a good way to finish the story, but in the end, I think this fits quite well.
‘Soonyoung brought back a relic,’ Minghao says, carefully. ‘We won’t have to go back for a while. We could — ’ He stops, for a moment, tips his head all the way back. ‘We could do something. Or go somewhere.’ ‘How about,’ Junhui suggests, ‘somewhere very far from the sea.’ And Minghao looks at him, and slips his fingers into Junhui’s, and laughs.
22: Share an excerpt from your favourite scene
So this is another excerpt from my junhao fic because I had it open and it was the only thing I could think of haha. In this scene, I like the way Minghao's Oddness is expanded on, a bit, and the way they both know what they saw, but are pretending they didn't because it's safer that way. I don't know. Mostly it's the vibes.
And it’s — really nice, actually, standing here in the kitchen with Minghao, getting dinner ready and talking about nothing much, and Junhui is finally feeling like Minghao might be softening towards him, just the slightest. And then Minghao’s knife slips. And it goes deep into his finger. And he pulls it out, and Junhui scrabbles for some bandages, but when he finally finds some, Minghao’s finger is fine. It’s not bleeding. Or — there’s no blood, but there’s water, a lot of it, and Minghao’s shoulders go up to his ears when he takes the bandages from Junhui and tries to sort his finger out himself. Junhui feels faint. ‘You’re bleeding,’ he informs Minghao. Informs his mind, his traitorous mouth. He knows what saltwater smells like. ‘You’re bleeding, there’s so much blood.’ And he takes Minghao’s finger and keeps his eyes studiously on the floor as he dips it into the basin and bandages it up. ‘There was so much blood,’ Junhui insists, once he’s done. He doesn’t want to think about it. He won’t. Minghao looks at him, once, quickly, searchingly. He’s pale. Junhui does his best to drain the seawater from his eyes.   ‘Blood everywhere,’ Minghao mumbles. He turns away from Junhui. Lets Junhui nudge him out of the way and wash the herbs. ‘I saw it,’ Junhui tells the pans, and they finish cooking in silence.
24: What's something that surprised you while you were working on a fic? Did it change the story?
So this year, Versity and I wrote a fic together. I've never collabed on a story before, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well our writing styles meshed, and how fun (and funny) she was to write with, and how smoothly the whole process went! Our finished story was very much something I wouldn't have come up with by myself, so I suppose you could say it changed the story?
30: What's something that you want to write in 2024?
Allow me to tell you about an idea I had a few hours ago, after we talked about Descendants earlier haha. Jafar briefly turns into a genie at some point in the original movie, and I thought - what if Jay was a little bit genie, too? He wouldn't necessarily know, on the Isle, since the barrier blocks their magic and all. So in 2024 I'd like to write a fic exploring that, how Jay might discover his genie magic in Auradon, how it might work. Also - I don't know if you've read J M Barrie's Peter Pan, but good form/bad form is a huge thing to his Hook (his Hook went to Eton, if my memory serves me correctly), and I thought it'd be very interesting to see what that might mean for Harry Hook, especially given the general lawlessness of the Isle.

Hey June !!
So, we need to talk...
Tumblr media
You're making Jun become more and more my bias everyday. (Rip Kwannie) I don't know if it's the way you write him or just how you describe him but I'm becoming more of a Huihui little by little everytime you post
Anyways I had a little question for you... I just wanted to know : What pushed you to share your stories with us all in the first place? And HOW do you make them so good everytime?
Like always I send you all my love and support !💕😊
Tumblr media
you are the sweetest omg that makes me so happy!! my job is to convert the world into huihuis one fic at a time 🥹 at the risk of sounding parasocial as hell, i just love him and he makes me so happy to write about so i have to be a little bit delusional about him at all times aksgjdhfs
it was @onlymingyus who encouraged me to post my writing! i've been writing since i was a little kid and i've always wanted to work with books, and my dream is to work in the publishing industry as a literary agent or an editor, so my own writing is more of a side hobby. on tumblr i started as a silent reader and then eventually made my fic recs blog @junhui-recs and started talking to people like mars and the lovely members of svthub, and i was like well why not post my stuff too? then it took me a while to warm up to writing smut bc it wasn't what i was used to (and still isn't tbh, it's a struggle to write it sometimes) but it's so rewarding to share it with everyone and get to talk to other writers and carats :)
and i have no idea asgkdjfhs i honestly just write things that i like to read so it's catered to my own tastes lmao but i'm so so glad other ppl like to read them too 💓 it's so satisfying when i open tumblr looking for something very specific to read and i can open my own masterlist and find exactly what i imagined in my brain hehe. from what i've noticed my best fics are ones i've written when i was super emotional so maybe that's something? like if i'm feeling generally bored or unenthusiastic then my fics tend to be meh. i feel like it's super obvious bc when i feel bad about my fics it shows in my writing, so i try not to write when i'm not in a good place because i want my fics to be something i enjoy looking back on instead of cringing at myself 😭 i have a lot of fics in my google drive that will never ever see the light of day bc i cringe so hard at who i was when i wrote them lmao

Tumblr media
you were,,, a brat. sort of.
no, not sort of, you were actually just a jerk. and severely spoiled.
highschool life was hard, and college life proved itself to be even harder, especially now that you attended one of the highest reputable universities in the nation. you were up to your neck in classes, and while you performed decently in most of them, math was a travesty. being the freshman that you were, your parents had big expectations and high hopes that you would follow in the oh-so-successful footsteps of your older brother, junhui, who was in his senior year.
jun was a prodigy - a so called “genius” by your parents who would sing his praises constantly for his ability to excel in every academic subject he touched. naturally, due to his success in school, your parents expected the same of you. every brunch and social that was held in your family’s country club would somehow end up in your mother preaching about how ‘her two beautiful sons were going to become the best doctors the community as ever seen’ - and when your skills clearly weren’t up to par with your older brother’s, it caused you to grow resentful to both him and your parents, the feeling being quite reciprocated.
you became frustrated that no matter the amount of shopping sprees or days off you took, you couldn’t seem to settle down and wrap your head around statistics. instead of remaining level-headed and talking out your struggles with your family, your pride forced you to swallow it all up and only express yourself through tantrums... much like what you were doing right now.
“AND IF YOUR GPA DROPS EVEN A SMIDGE LOWER, WE’RE NOT PAYING FOR YOU TO ATTEND SCHOOL ANY LONGER!” your mother shouted as you stomped your way up your home’s marble staircase, attempting to dismiss yourself from yet another argument.
“YOU WOULDN’T DARE! your little reputation couldn’t handle the embarrassment when all your friends find out.” you spat.
“that’s damn right! you’re getting your education one way or another, so its best you get ready for community college then.” your father joined in at your mother’s side.
you froze in place, hand lingering on your door knob. community college?! you almost threw up in your mouth. you let out an exasperated yell, slamming your door. the echo of the force travelled down the hall to jun’s room. out of curiosity, he steps out from behind his own door and sees your parents huffing away back to their own chambers. he cocks an eyebrow and walks down to your room, knocking gently.
“y/n? what was that all ab-” he speaks lowly, but you cut him off, your voice still very much shouting.
“go the hell away!”
“well damn, dude, I just wanted to ask what was wrong.” he quips.
“thanks for you concern, asshole, but I don’t remember it being your business.” you call back, sinking your head deeper into your pillow as you scroll angrily through your phone.
junhui sighs and goes downstairs to calm your obviously seething parents, aiming to talk them down from making any rash decisions for you. despite your attitude, jun was a pretty sweet older brother, and knew you just needed a bit of help rather than be withdrawn from university all together.
it’s not like you cared though.
⊱────────────────────────⊰
one week later, you heard another knock at your door.
making sure to groan in extra loud annoyance so that whoever was on the other side knew they were already pissing you off, you sat up in bed. you heard the knock again, this time followed by your mom’s voice.
“y/n, come down stairs. now.” was all she stated before walking away.
what could she possibly want at 1:00 in the afternoon? you grumbled, throwing on a hoodie before literally rolling out of your king sized mattress. you shuffled your feet along the floor as you walked down stairs.
as soon as you reached the common area, your eyes slightly widened as you were greeted with the sight of a tall, tan skinned boy with round glasses sitting on the edge of his nose. he set a large assortment of textbooks down at the table next to him as he conversed with your parents. you simply stopped in your tracks as you stared at the.... admittedly beautiful, man.
his hair practically shined in the natural lighting, and his shoulders were broad. his lips were plump and the perfect shade of pink, and you couldn’t tear your eyes away from his sharp jawline or the way it would flex when he smiled or how his adams apple teasingly bounced when he chuckled at something your parent’s said.
it seems you were caught in the middle of your trance, as your dad waved his hand from where he was standing.
“y/n?”
you blinked a couple times as you snapped out of it, realizing you were biting your lips. you slightly blushed when you noticed all of their eyes were focused on you, especially this new stranger’s shining orbs.
“who’s this?” you speak up, adding slight attitude in your voice to cover up your obvious gawking.
“this is minghao, a friend of your brother’s. he’ll be your new tutor until you pick your grades up.” your mom replies, and the boy slightly bows his head while he smiled down at you.
“T-TUTOR?” you gasp, a bit over-dramatically. “what the hell do I need a tutor for? i’m not in elementary school.” you claim, stomping your foot down.
“well until you stop getting these third grader scores on your tests, this is what we’re doing. you start today, and you don’t have a say in the matter.” your mom chimes in, never dropping her snarky smile.
“today!? it’s saturday-”
“anyways,” your mother continues, interrupting you. “we’re going out for the day, but jun will be back soon. we told him you should be well into your lesson by the time he’s here, alright?”
“yes, maam.” minghao chimed enthusiastically, giving her a thumbs up.
you rolled your eyes and groaned once more, huffing out a sigh when you at the at large table with all of the textbooks. when your parents left, minghao took a seat across from you, sitting as if he were waiting for you to say something first.
“you have a beautiful home..” he finally spoke, looking around and spotting the chandelier above the staircase.
“yea yea, that’s what they all say. you can just get on with the bullshit, i guess. it’s not like i’m gonna pay any attention.” you respond in a bored tone, propping your head up against your hands.
minghao furrowed his brows at you as you tried to avoid his eyes, but you couldn’t stop yourself from awkwardly peeking. the older male sighs and spreads out the textbooks before mumbling something about getting started, opening the first book. it read statistics - an instant turn off for you.
30 minutes into the first lesson and minghao peered at you, catching you on your phone for the umpteenth time. he sighed, setting his calculator down.
“listen, I know you don’t wanna go through this, but your parents are trusting me to make sure you don’t fail another class. I sit next to your brother in a lot of our classes and he’s practically a genius, so I know you have it in you too.”
you rolled your eyes yet again, narrowing your gaze at minghao. his eyes sort of sparkled, looking a little too cute as he pleaded for you to cooperate, but this only stirred you to piss him off more. you smirked as you ignored him, bringing your phone back up to your face.
this caused minghao to scoff in disbelief.
“y/n, look at me.” he spoke, causing your grin to grow wider as you ignored him.
however, he opened his mouth again and this time your smile dropped completely.
“look at me, now.”
the tone in his voice was completely different - much lower than previously and demanding. you looked up from your phone and chills ran wild across your skin from the glare you caught from him. his eyes lost their sparkle, and instead looked like a deep, dark brown abyss.
“put your phone down.”
you could’ve swore a spell was cast on you, because you dropped your phone on the table just a little too fast for your own liking. this caused a shit-eating grin to grow on minghao’s face, one that lit your skin on fire.
he stood from his seat, leaning across the table closer and closer to you. he stopped a couple inches from your face, and his vanilla cologne surged through your senses.
“that’s a good boy... why are you listening so easily now?” he asked as he picked up your phone, putting it in his pocket without moving his face any farther from yours.
you gulped, trying to get back in your groove. you furrowed your brows at him, scooting back on your own accord.
“s-shut up. I’m just finally ready to get this lesson over with so you can get out of my house.” you sneered. but he wasn’t buying it, not one bit.
he sat back into his chair, eyes never leaving you. the truth was that he caught how in between your attempts to ignore him, he followed how your eyes lingers on his long, beautiful fingers when he would turn the page or type in the calculator. minghao was very observant, and it was biting you in the ass.
“come over here and sit by me.” he ordered, patting the empty chair next to him.
“no... and give me my phone back!” you retorted.
“you need a closer look at the reading. the sooner you just listen the sooner you can tweet all you want.”
you sat in contemplation for a while, before groaning and getting up. you made your way hesitantly around the table before placing yourself in the seat beside minghao. you were growing annoyed of yourself - why were you caving for his demands so easily?
he sat and stared at you for a while, a smirk evident on his annoyingly handsome face. you parted your lips to ask him what was his deal, but before you could utter a sound he reached out and grabbed one of your chair legs, scooting you closer until your shoulders were merely centimeters apart. he then leaned down to your ear, speaking lowly despite you two being the only ones in the house.
“i know your problem... you’ve just never had anyone simply take control, have you?”
you felt your face turn red, and you instantly scooted back from him.
“wh- what the hell are you talking about?!” you ask, sounding almost offended.
minghao did nothing but chuckle and drag you right back into his space before casually turning back to the textbooks. he resumed the tutoring session as if nothing happened, meanwhile you tried to stabilize your breathing. you had no idea what this dude’s problem was, but he somehow had an excitement bubbling deep down within you.
an hour goes by, and like magic you’re suddenly more intrigued in the lesson. it was like he had you under hypnosis with his cologne, because you slowly followed along when he spoke and were understanding more of the material.
then, he began to quiz you. he asked you to solve a formula for him, and when you actually managed to identify x correctly, he brought one of his large hands down to rest at an exposed part of your thigh - thanks to your small gym shorts. your breath hitched when he squeezed it gently, offering you praise.
“nice job. now look at this graph and....”
his voice trailed off in your mind as you couldn’t get your eyes to leave his warm hand at your thigh. it felt so soft, and encased your leg so effortlessly. his thumb rubbed the smallest and softest circles into your thigh as he spoke, but stopped when you heard your name called once more.
“y/n? did you hear me?” he spoke, pretending as if he hadn’t caught you lingering on his hand.
“o-oh, yeah, whatever. it’s right here.” you answer, pointing to a spot on a complicated looking chart. you were fully guessing, but didn’t want him to know you were distracted.
“wrong.”
this time, he squeezed your thigh with stronger force, causing you to gasp.
“the hell are you doing!” you call out, scooting back out of your chair.
minghao was fast, though, because before you could actually move away he caught your wrist, pulling you in and quickly situating you on his lap. you squirmed, but didn’t exactly try to leave as he brought both hands to massage both sides of your thighs this time.
“you were doing so good, what’s wrong?” he whispered from behind you, his warm breath against the nape of your neck causing visible goosebumps to rise.
you gripped the table infront of you for stability, trying your best to keep a whine from leaving your throat.
“I-.....I.... uhm, I-” you stuttered. you were desperately trying to find a witty comment to spit out, but it was like you completely lost your mojo, how frustrating.
“next question,” he spoke, lightly nipping your earlobe with his teeth.
you flinched, and genuinely couldn’t speak. his scent and ministrations into your soft thighs were completely overriding your ability to focus. he pulled the hems of your shorts back so that he could massage higher up on your thighs, the sensation causing everything he was saying to fade into the background of your mind as it started hazing over.
“know the answer this time?” you heard him ask, and nervousness overcame you when you realized you hadn’t heard a single thing he’s said.
you began mumbling, eyes trying to make sense of the worksheets in front of you. you feel his hand reach around your front before landing on your clothed bulge, which, much to your embarrassment, had already grown into a hard erection.
minghao chuckled loudly, “no wonder you can’t concentrate, you’re all worked up. aw.”
he gave your member one good quick squeeze, the stimulation causing you to yelp in shock. your hand shot down to grip on to his wrist, your breathing becoming labored. you tried to look over your shoulder at him, but his free hand came up to cup your jaw, forcing your head back to the textbook. you suddenly felt his own hard-on straining in his pants, pushing into your lower back.
“minghao, i-”
“i hope you get this next one right... or we can pack it up and call it a day?” he spoke, his voice holding a teasing tone.
“n-no! no, i can answer it.” you responded, sounding way too desperate.
he bit his lower lip in a smirk, and went on to explain the next formula and percentages normally, as if you weren’t propped on his lap. when it was your turn to answer, you felt utterly clueless. you struggled enough to even pay attention to each word that fell off his tongue in the first place
“answer me, bitch.” he warned, his grip on your cock from the outside of your shorts slowly tightening again.
“n-n-nintey two! the percentage of x is 92″ you fumbled out, squeezing your eyes shut as it was practically guess work.
“...excellent job.”
you let out a sigh of relief, loosening your tight hold on your calculator. you felt the exact plump lips you had admired this past hour and a half begin placing light, feathery kisses down the back and sides of your neck, minghao releasing his hold on your member. you whined at the loss of feeling, but your breath hitched as you felt him beginning to pull at your short’s drawstrings. you sat completely still while his lips worked into a soft spot on your neck, and he untied your drawstrings at an agonizingly slow pace.
you forced yourself to maintain your breathing when he finally loosened them, slowly reaching into your pants without a word. he began palming your bare length as he kissed harder into your weak spot, sucking a red mark into your throat. you moaned, wondering how you even found yourself in this situation, yet not wanting it to stop.
“maybe you’re not a dumbass after all, just a little slut.” he murmured into your skin. his words made your skin feel even hotter, but it still sprung your attitude right back into action.
“I probably would’ve gotten them right sooner if I had a tutor who wasn’t a horny asshole.” you respond, leaning your head back on to his shoulder as his hands work you.
however, he stopped all his movements, groaning as his teeth sunk into your soft spot. you whimpered at the jolt, almost regretting your comment as you bucked your hips into his frozen hand desperate for more of the pleasure.
“is that so? let’s keep going then.”
he brought his hand away from your erection and gripped your jaw again, forcing your head up and at the math problems before you.
minghao went on to read out the graph to you, but this time brought his tongue down to your collarbone, drawing circles into your sensitive skin in between his sentences. you squirmed under him but he gripped your hips still, making it impossible for you to seek any kind of pleasure on his lap.
you took deep breaths in between his pauses as he took his time ravaging your exposed skin, moving your hoodie aside so he could claim more territory with colorful marks. you dug your fingers into his legs, begging him to get on with it. he chuckled quietly before licking his way back up to your ear before finishing the word problem.
“so? whats the solution, little boy?” he asked, his hand finding its way back into your pants. he stroked along your length as you gathered up the willpower to speak, the pleasure becoming too much to function.
your mind raced, hopelessly looking for clues to the answer. you tried to focus, but as the long silence dragged on you felt yourself inching closer to your orgasm, finding it impossible to keep your eyes racked on the calculator. when you couldn’t handle it anymore, you summoned an answer out of thin air hoping it was correct so that minghao could just finish you off, you were so close.
“t-...the solution would be to plug the integers into the denominal fraction!” you sputtered, minghao’s hand speeding up its stroking.
just as you gave your answer, your felt minghao’s face draw next to your ear, and keys jingling at your front door - your older brother jun stepping in.
“incorrect.”
and he ceased his actions, pushing you off his lap.
⊱────────────────────────⊰
ever since then, you were obsessed with your tutor. you’re not sure if it was the thrill of almost being caught by junhui, or the frustration of having your release so cruelly denied by minghao, but each week it seemed like you would get worse at math intentionally.
the brattier you were to minghao, the more dominant he was with you - and it was intoxicating. it was a constant back & forth in the secrets of your own studying whenever it was just you two in the house, although you found it pretty hard to control yourself that one time in which junhui was still upstairs.
this week, the house was empty and the textbooks hadn’t even been opened yet before you were straddling minghao’s lap and making out. he barely had time to set his bag down and take a seat before your lips were quick to take action, devouring each other. his hot open mouthed kisses caused your mind to gloss over, moaning wantonly when his tongue pressed against yours.
when you ground your hips down on his semi-hard bulge, his hands wrapped around your waist to keep you still. you whined at him, trying to chase the friction.
“we need to start our lesson for the day.” minghao sighed. “your results last week were good, but we have a lot of work to do.”
“nooo,” you fussed at him, squeezing his shoulders. “i don’t care about the math anymore, let’s take a week off.”
you continued to aggressively kiss him before he could protest. however, minghao soon peeled his lips away from yours, the satisfying sound ringing in your ears.
“no breaks. you need to behave, y/n.” he warned, which only made you giggle before diving back into his plush lips.
god, he tasted amazing. your lips worked eagerly against his before you felt a hard smack on your ass. you jumped, whimpering at the sting his large hand caused you. you looked minghao in the eyes with an angry pout, and that only landed you another spank on your other cheek.
minghao shifted you around his lap until your back was pressed against the wooden table. he brought a hand up to wrap around your throat, forcing you keep eye contact with him.
“are you ready to be a good student now?”
you shook your head, growing aggravated. you had studied so much and now all you could think of was your brothers sexy best friend whom you willfully let control you each week. you needed him, badly. and he knew it.
minghaos hand never left your throat, and you watched his eyes study you, contemplating what he should do next. eventually, he released a slight hum, an idea seemingly coming to him like a light bulb.
“alright, fine.” he finally spoke aloud, pushing the textbooks off of the table in one swoop. he then stood, holding your underarms to lift you from his lap on to the table.
“if you can pass a pop quiz, we don’t have to study today.”
you eagerly nodded your head in compliance, cooperating as he pressed a hand to your chest and lowered you until you were flat-backed on your table. he began stripping you of your pants and boxers, leaving your bottom half exposed to the cold air. you licked your lips when you watched him start to remove his belt, but felt your excitement grow dim when he stopped after only undoing a few buttons.
he crawled on to the table, one hand resting next to your head as he hovered over you. the other came and started palming your exposed cock, allowing it to grow hard. when your eyes wandered down to watch his ministrations, he called your name sharply, shifting your attention back to him.
“you get 5 chances.” he told you, and you nodded.
damnit, those were the hardest questions of your life.
you had managed to get three wrong right off the bat, and minghao sinisterly chuckled at you each time you whimpered at him grinding his clothed hips to your needy and exposed bottom half.
“you dumb bitch... only two chances left.” he taunted, wiggling his two fingers infront of your face. he then took his two digits and prodded them at your lips.
you sighed when you took his elegant fingers into your mouth, swirling your tongue around them like a melting popsicle. your eyes rolled back from the satisfaction. he withdrew his long fingers from your mouth earlier than you liked, and began sucking on them himself. your face grew beat red at his actions, but you felt your cock twitch at the sight. he then reached down and lifted your legs around his hips, teasing his coated fingers at your entrance. a moan of desperation escaped you.
“tell me about the theory of probability if you can, little whore.” he demanded, circling one of his fingers around your bottom.
the teasing and degradation almost made you moan, but you forced yourself to stay composed, as you were finally confident in an answer. you stilled your breathing and delivered the definition without breaking eye contact. he smiled at you.
“good job, baby boy.” he replied, his demeanor instantly softer as he placed a kiss on your nose.
and without another word, he slowly sunk one of his coated fingers into your entrance. a loud moan drew from your throat, and you could’ve came from just that pleasure after being teased so much. but, even your bratty demeanor was scared to go against minghao’s wishes.
he asked you another question, and you almost exploded in joy when you also knew that one, earning you another finger. the stretch wasn’t painful but it was doing its job, causing you to feel full from his hands alone.
“last one, baby. what happens when N is even in the variance formula?”
you, being on the verge of your high once more, grabbed the back of his neck and brought his ear down to your lips, whispering the answer to him before licking the shell. he groaned, a smirk growing wide on his lips.
“shit, prince, you’re a genius.”
the tall male instantly removed his fingers from inside you, and shimmied off his own pants. your head was spinning when he plunged his erect member into you, instantly grinding with exact precision.
you couldn’t stop the moans from falling past your lips, and only grew louder when he leaned down to suck sulaciously on your adam’s apple.
“I hope junhui comes home early to see his little bitch of a brother being such a good boy, such a smart boy....” he purred into your ear in between littering hickeys on your neck and chest while rutting into you.
the pleasure was sending you to cloud nine, to the point that you didn’t even care about the probability of someone actually coming home early and catching you. all you knew was that tutoring was probably the best investment your parents have ever made.

info: wen junhui/reader, teen+, soulmate au genre: angst, romance | word ct: 2k warnings: descriptions of injuries, scars, blood, hospitals summary: forever was a powerful word, and it was the only word he could think of when he imagined his soulmate. someone who was just as powerful as she was terrifying. because forever was a powerful word, and it scared him to no end. author's note: please read! this soulmate au deals with soulmarks in the form of injuries. once someone turns 18 their body will be marked with their soulmates scars and they will acquire all of their future injuries (i know it's a little confusing, story explains it better). if talks of scars and blood make you uncomfortable, respectfully, this fic will not be your cup of tea. thank you all!
Tumblr media
Forever. Never, in all of Junhui’s life, had he heard a more terrifying word. He hated the permanency of it, the idea of being stuck doing one thing, being with one person. The thought of it alone made his skin itch. He loved being able to get on a train and go absolutely anywhere, loved never being tied down, loved being free. Sometimes he didn’t even know where home was, where he’d be sleeping, and that’s when he was most happy. He couldn’t explain it, nor did he want to.
What scared him most, was what he was destined for, what forever truly meant for him. For years he was told how his life would change, how it would never be the same once he became an adult. And he believed them. No matter how much he hated it, he’d have to be delusional not to. Because he’d been watching it play out on his skin since he turned 18. He’d been watching his body pucker with scars, little nicks here and there, for the better part of four years. A thin line across the back of his hand, a surgical scar on his stomach, it was so nerve-wracking. Because he hadn’t been injured.
His soulmate had, and he was a first-hand witness.
That was the sad existence he was left with, the one he’d been running from for years. He lived in a world where everyone was covered in the injuries and scars of their soulmate. Your body wasn’t a canvas of your own life, it was the story of someone else’s. And God Junhui hated that more than anything. That his life wasn’t his own anymore and there was nothing he could do about it.
It all became real for him when he came home from school on his 18th birthday. He shouldered off his bag and was getting ready to shower when he saw the bright pink mark on his stomach. A little thing, only two inches in length, half an inch wide, almost completely negligible. At first, he was confused, then scared, and finally—mortified.
No. He said to himself as he inspected the scar. Please tell me this is a lie.
For years he stared at his own body, repulsed and confused by the injuries that kept cropping up. His friends would laugh at the little marks, claiming that his soulmate was a complete klutz. Still, he refused to acknowledge it. He didn’t care what sort of scar showed up on his body, he refused to care. He refused to think about the one person who was tied to his entire existence. No matter what they were going through. He didn’t care when the eight inch gash appeared on his arm, nor did he care when he saw the surgical scar sprawled across his knee. It was just skin, scar tissue and skin. It didn’t mean anything.
Or that’s what he tried to convince himself.
Sometimes, if the injury was bad enough, he would even feel the pain from it. One day he was walking to work, and suddenly he was struck by an intense migraine. The throbbing alone was enough to make him want to puke. The world was spinning, he could barely feel the ground underneath his feet when he caught his reflection in a store window. His eyebrow had split open, a single trickle of blood streaking his face.
What happened? He found himself wondering despite himself. Are they—are they okay?
Before that moment, he had never actually bled from one of his soulmate’s wounds. And it terrified him. He had only seen the injuries once they’d healed, meaning that the danger, and pain, was over. That little bead of blood meant—meant that this was real. That on the other side of his scars was a real person. He hated forever, he hated the word, hated the meaning, hated what he was forced to endure because fate had better plans for him.
But still, he couldn’t help but wonder. And that was harmless, right?
Going to the doctor after that was interesting, because he had to get a full body X-Ray to see what sort of damage his new body had endured. Standard protocol when you turned 18, he’d just been putting it off for as long as he could. Injuries from his soulmate's childhood were clear against the backlight, several broken bones from when they were young, or reckless, or both. Without realizing it, Junhui found himself smiling at the sight. It was sort of comforting, knowing that he’ll always have this part of someone else. That it’ll never leave him.
He gingerly touched each wound and tried to imagine the story behind them. There was this one right up his shin, very old, very faded, it reminded him of the one time he fell off his bike as a kid. Maybe he had something in common with his soulmate. Maybe they had a similar past. He had no idea, but it was fun to wonder.
For periods of time, Junhui wouldn’t accumulate any new marks, and he felt lonely. He pretended like he didn’t, he continued on as he usually did. A string of flings and drunken escapades kept him busy, but they just—they weren’t as fun anymore. Car rides with no destination, late nights underneath the stars, the things he loved most no longer held the same weight. He felt stupid, selfish, wishing for some sign of his soulmate. Because that meant that they’d have to get hurt for it to happen.
And then, he thought he lost them.
He was getting set up for a gig, plugging in his mic and laughing with the stagehands, when he felt his life flash before his eyes. Like he’d been crushed by a car. The pain was so excruciating, he was finding it hard to breathe. Collapsing to the floor, he could’ve sworn that he saw a bright light above him. Tears streaked his face, his stomach churned like the red sea—he thought he was dying. He had no idea what was going on, until—until he realized that he was fine. That his soulmate—that his soulmate might’ve—
Pulling up his shirt, he watched a deep gash form on his stomach and a deep bruise color his whole abdomen. Propping himself up onto his elbows, he instantly fell back to the ground. Looking at his arm, he noticed the swelling. He was being covered in bruises, several of his bones were broken, and he only had one thought on his mind.
I have to find them.
He managed to get to his feet, finding his right leg weaker than he remembered, and he practically sprinted out of the bar. Pulling out his phone, he started searching every news site he could think of, looking for any news of any sort of car crash. Of any sort of accident.
Every few minutes or so, he’d check to make sure that his scars were still there. That his soulmate hadn’t left him. Because that’s what everyone truly fears, and the one thing Junhui has grown to fear more than forever. When you slowly see your soulmate's scars clear up, when your skin is your own once more, it means one of two things.
Either you’ve found your soulmate, or your soulmate is dead.
Please stay alive. He found himself begging, finally catching word of a couple car accidents in the past day. He scrolled through them, scrolled through the pictures of victims, desperately trying to find them. Dozens of faces blurred past his vision, and he finally stopped at a picture of a young woman. A woman with a small scar on her chin, just like the cut Junhui got when he was a kid and banged his chin on a coffee table.
After years of denying her existence, he had finally found his soulmate. For a brief moment, he was caught in some sort of trance, completely awestruck by the person who was a permanent part of his life. She was beautiful, perfect, everything he had ever dreamed of and feared all at once. It broke his heart, knowing that it took her getting hit by a car for him to find her.
When he figured out which hospital she was taken to, he hailed a cab and paid him extra to get him there as fast as he could. As he rode, he read the article more thoroughly, reading about how she was hit by a drunk driver, how she was in critical condition, and how she was in a medically induced coma. He had to fight back tears, knowing that she might not make it.
Arriving at the hospital, he showed the front desk her picture, desperate to find her any way that he could. They confirmed that she was there, that she had just got out of surgery. They kept telling him that only family could see her, that he’d have to wait until she was out of the ICU, and a million other things that he didn’t give a damn about. He had to see her.
“She’s my soulmate.” He whispered, trying not to lose it. “Please, please, let me see her.”
Even though the nurses were conflicted, they eventually let him in. Thanking them quickly, he sprinted down the hall to her room, tears stinging the corners of his eyes. He couldn’t lose her. Not before she was even a part of his life. Not before he could even tell her how important she was to him. He hadn’t even met her yet, and yet if she died – then his life would be over.
He slowed down as he got closer, his heart beating in his ears. She was just a few doors down, she was so close, he could feel it deep down inside. As he stood outside her door, he tried to calm himself down, he inhaled and exhaled, attempting to stabilize the raging storm inside of him.
Mentally preparing for the worst he reached for the door handle, his entire arm shaking. He was fully aware that she wouldn’t even realize he was there, that she’d be lying catatonic in a hospital bed with tubes and wires hooked up to her. He didn’t care. It was still an important moment in his life. He was about to meet his soulmate for the first time.
Turning the handle, he felt his heart stop when he saw her. Even though the actual sight of her broke his heart, something he couldn’t explain started to stir inside of him. Like—like his entire existence led him to this point. And while that thought alone would’ve terrified him not too long ago, it now gave him a purpose to strive towards. He wouldn’t run from this.
He approached her carefully, pulling up a chair and sitting beside her. As he sat there, he watched as the little scars across his knuckles started to disappear, and saw them reappear on her. Unconsciously, he started to check on every single scar on his body, finding himself frowning as they vanished from his skin. He would’ve preferred to bare them, knowing that they wouldn’t mar her beautiful body. And he’d miss the proof that she was meant to be with him. Fate determined that they were meant to be together, and for the first time—he accepted that. Because he finally learned that alone was a far more terrifying word than forever.
“I don’t care how long it takes.” He whispered, taking her hand in his. “I’m not going anywhere.”

[03:37 PM] [meet him at the dawn & he`ll take you to places you`ve never seen]
―standing opposite of the road, that day you saw him getting out of the newly opened chinese restaurant of the town. he was wearing a white shirt with two of the top buttons undone, the edges carelessly tucked in a freshly washed denim jeans to wind up with it. dashing as always, junhui had spared a listless glance at you and with his shoulders wide, he tucked his palms into both of his jean`s pockets.
you, on the other hand, didn`t smile at him but rather let your eyes widen a bit unconsciously. in split second, when you realized what had happened, you retreated back from keeping any kind of eye contact with him.
from the corner of your eyes, you could somehow make out that he was clearly smirking on his own. his little smirk was so palpable that it traverse through the air stirring up something in you along with the sudden heat splashing across your cheeks & neck. that feeling didn`t leave your body and waited a long time to fade until you finally reached back home.
you didn`t know much about junhui, as a matter of fact. surely you`ve seen him once in a while but that was it. you didn`t know what kind of person he was exactly apart from the fact that he was extremely beautiful. he was, if you weren`t mistaken, quite a silent heartthrob of the town.
he also, isn`t the type to talk much. that is to say, you have never seen him talk whenever you`ve spotted him on the street or anywhere in the local market. he didn`t study at your school and his place too, was far from your own so spotting him at your street wasn`t a regular thing until one fine day it happened out of nowhere.
you were out to go rent some dvd because the dvd player had been sitting under dust for a long time at your place. it was one of those day when iconic black and white movies which both you and your mother were equally fond of clenches you two in its tight hold so she gave you a little push to go grab some mutual favourites from the dvd rent shop down the street.
wearing a soft pink shorts and a white shirt typically bigger for your built, you walked out of your place to the dvd rent shop. swinging both of your arms on your side, you did a few little skips while walking. it was quite evident that you were in good spirit and why shouldn`t you be? a movie night and your mother was making your favourite dish tonight being the combo treat is not something of a regular thing in this household.
long after walking, you stood in front of the shop. keeping your eyes on the open sign, you push the door inside and soon you heard a peal of laughter already filling up the shop to the brim of it.
the laughter was as if it welcomed you to the shop but for some reason, you could recognize a single voice among the two.
you stop for a second, slowing down the motion of you closing the door and kept on listening to the laughters. in the slip of a quick second, you recognized it to be mingyu`s but you couldn`t see him right away.
whipping your head around, you tried detecting the direction from which it came until you heard a cough from the part-timer and the growing string of your attention rips right then.
bowing a bit to the part-timer who worked at the cash counter, you slowly walked through the shelves filled with all kind of dvds. your ears were perked up at the sound of giggles and laughter now a little bit on a lower note.
the part-timer probably sent the owner of those laughters a warning glance to maintain the silence.
you, on the other hand, still couldn`t find the movie you were looking for. walking listlessly, your eyes staring up and down the rows of shelves soon your back makes a sudden contact with something hard and warm.
for a moment you thought it would be mingyu and a lift at the corner of your mouth surfaces.
turning your neck around, you had to crane it up a bit to look at whom you stumbled upon considering in your head you thought it would be mingyu probably playing around with you and with his gigantic height your actions were sort of a reflex.
but as soon as you realized whom you stumbled onto, you quickly turned around and jumped three feet away from him.
“oh?”, with wide eyes junhui watches you jump back and then as he leans a bit by putting up one of his palm, he finally greets you, “hi.” the wide of his eyes cease within seconds replacing them into soft creases around the corners.
his voice carried an essence of mirth and from the looks of it, he clearly recognized you considering he has seen you quite a few times ― sometimes even when you`re not aware of his presence.
you bow a bit and give him a crooked smile although your eyes were so nervous, it couldn`t keep a single second of contact with his own until your eyes fixated on something familiar―it was the head peaking from behind junhui―of mingyu`s.
a wave of relief ran through your system as you, instead of returning junhui`s wave, put up your own palm and greeted mingyu. your friend`s eyes turn into crescents as he comes from behind the boy you just met and places his own palm against yours. you smiled up at him and he returns it as always.
seeing how junhui was left behind, mingyu turned around and stood next to you while placing his arm around your shoulder. a very familiar act. nothing you should be surprised of at this point.
“jun, meet_____, she lives across my street.”
you bow at junhui again. but in your head, you were wondering how did mingyu know him. at school, you`ve not really seen him around your friend and you, yourself haven`t really seen him that much. but without any further wait, mingyu answers the said question in your head.
“_____ meet wen junhui. he got transferred to our school few weeks ago and has newly joined the basketball team last week! have you seen him?”
“ah no―i think?” you answer back very unsure of your fading memory.
“mingyu said that you are quite a regular at the bleachers cheering for this buddy right here, junhui speaks up for a first time after all this while. he pointed at mingyu while he utters those last words.
you flushed a bit at the mention of you being at the bleachers while you watch mingyu play. but it`s just, you are always there to support your friend. you don`t really make any sound while you`re at it though. most days, you just sit back and watch mingyu play. it`s not a secret that you very much adore his basketball skills.
“it`s nothing really..,” you squeeze out a carefree laughter although it ended up sounding like a nervous one, “i just…watch and,” with a shrug you continue, “maybe clap sometimes.”
junhui only chuckles as you finish. it looked like as if he caught you in your act. it really wasn`t looking nice for you now but at least you had mingyu`s arm around you so you stopped feeling a bit out of place, plus junhui was clearly a stranger. why must you care so much for what he thought?
“but even that bit is enough. after all, ______ & me, we`ve been friends since childhood. our mothers are best friends too! we even get to have weekly get-togethers every sundays.”
as new information for junhui`s ear comes to surface, you quickly looked over at him who now wore an indifferent expression as if somewhat a spark of jealousy lay across his chest. but when he saw you looking at him, he caught your gaze with his warm ones with that very recognizable smirk climbing onto his mouth making you think that he is clearly skilled at hiding his sudden change of emotions.
you stare at him for a good few seconds, feeling yourself getting braver as you have already caught him slip his cool awhile ago. clearly, in junhui`s head, he really didn`t want mingyu to continue so he spoke up.
“that`s good to know. but the question is will i get an invite someday?” he was asking mingyu the question but his eyes were all on you and at the same time he was observing how mingyu`s attention never faltered from upon your face.
you finally looked up to meet with your friend`s eyes on you and with one of his brows perked up, mingyu asked you as you did so, “that sounds good, doesn`t it? we should talk to our mothers for a permission though?”
you nod and add, “sure, that doesn`t sound bad. the more the merrier.”
absolutely not, you think back in your head, you definitely don`t like lots of people around you. no offense to junhui but you`re not exactly good with strangers or people in general.
“and what about cheering for me sometimes at the bleachers sometimes?” junhui leans against the shelf lightly and breaks the on-going conversation between you and mingyu with a sudden heated question.
“ayyyy that she will do of course. every friend of mine is _____`s friend so of course she`ll cheer for you, jun. although i`m a little special so i`ll get more cheers, right?” mingyu bent down and moved his face infront of you with the silliest smile on his face.
this boy, you thought, you`re really enjoying this, aren’t you?
you wanted mingyu to read your eyes but you were unsure if he was just putting up an act or simply being oblivious.
you close your eyes a bit and put up a pressed smile on your face as you thought about how mingyu clearly didn`t understand what junhui was trying to do here and on top of all that, he didn`t even let you speak before jumping onto answering the question for you.
you thought, maybe that`s what friends do. clearly, you were wrong in this.
“hahaha, sure, i mean why not―although i don`t know how much me cheering will help. i don`t even cheer, i just, like i said,” you huffed and leaned a bit to your side after turning your attention from mingyu`s child-like expression to junhui`s attentive ones, “i only sit and watch.”
junhui mirrors your act of leaning and replies.
“that`s very much enough.”
the line that forms on his lips gives his cheeks a lift. his eyes looks pure and yet with that built, you couldn`t really pinpoint what you should be feeling.
you didn`t know if you wanted to laugh or cry right at that moment. he was clearly copying mingyu right there but he added a little bit of his own spice in it.
you only nodded and smiled through the dilemma and made sure there`s nothing on your face that would give you how hot and bothered you were with just the presence of junhui infront of you.
“anyway,” gently pushing mingyu by his shoulders who was previously bending down to look at you face to face, “i need to get some dvds. so can i….look for them now?” raising your brows, you trail off looking at both of the boys as they nod and give you the space to choose.
but mingyu`s arm remained on your shoulder as you walked towards the shelf and junhui―he only moved away from his previous spot a bit. so now that you were standing in front of the shelf of dvds, you were stuck in-between two clearly much taller for their age boys.
sighing microscopically, you reached out your arm and pulled out a dvd of a sleeper-hit movie from decades ago―one of yours and your mother`s favorite.
“_____ you like this movie too?” junhui asks suddenly. his voice sounded slightly different this time. also, the sudden slip of your name from his mouth caught you by surprise for a moment. this was actually the first time he called you by your name if you could recall every interaction with him.
eventually, this particular moment resurfaces once in a while when junhui crosses your head sometimes.
“hmm, i do! you….” you reply.
“same, i do like it too―actually, it`s my mother`s favourite and―”
“mine too! it`s my mother`s favourite too!” you cut him off, declaring right away with an excitement in your tone with a sudden sense of familiarity very loud in the air between both of you.
junhui only blinks. his eyes a little bit wide and the smile which was now less smirk-like climbs on his mouth.
“ohhh junhui, both you & _____ have some similar taste, huh?” mingyu and his annoying self chirped in, which you obviously didn`t pay any heed to. you only replied with a “is that something very interesting to you?” but only in your head.
as if mingyu was about to reply, you turned around to look up at jun and let him continue clearly ignoring mingyu and his big mouth.
seeing how now your attention is all on him, junhui skipped the previous act of smile and giggled and if you could clearly remember it`s been a long time you`ve heard such a sweet giggle in a while.
“ah well i`ve watched it once with her when it was on television one day. i love the story of the leads and how even though they had to face all those hurdles, they didn`t falter in their discipline and way of life. it was…uplifting to me, i guess? staying grounded. loved that.”
“i understand. the feelings are mutual.”
this time the smile was genuine. you were glad that this time you weren`t nervous, that you could smile without stuttering through your thoughts although everything about junhui was distracting you. from his handsome built, his face to now having been discovered his soft giggle (it kept on replaying on your head for some unknown reason) and him, being this close to you right now wasn`t helping at all.
“that sounds very deep.” mingyu states. this time both you and junhui hum at the same time at him, not ignoring him.
“so did your mother tell you to rent it or….?” junhui asks.
“no, well, actually yes―both me and my mother thought of having a movie night. the dvd player at home is gathering only dust so we thought to have some good use of it.”
“oh so auntie must be making some good foods too, right?” this time mingyu joins in.
“ah yes, she `s making my favourite dish,” you spare him a glance before replying back.
“ah then what should i pick up…now that _____ has already picked up one from my bucket list today.”
junhui gifted you a look from the corner of his eyes while the well-known smirk adorned the corner of his mouth and he strolls across the makeshift corridor in-between the two large shelves softly drumming his fingertips on each of the spines of dvds placed in order.
“ah i`m sorry if you want you can keep it,” you brush off mingyu`s arm around your shoulder and walk a little bit towards junhui, “i can take some others, it`s not like this is the only one i needed anyway.”
the boy whom you just got to know spun on his heels with his arms now behind him crossed and he leans in to come closer to your face. a little bit closer and you could feel his breathe over you.
“same goes for me but _____what if we make a deal?”
“a deal?” you question him, curiosity hitting you from behind.
junhui hums.
“tell me about it.”
“what if you give me the dvd after you & auntie,” junhui looks at mingyu for a second, his eyes mischievous as he uses your friend`s addressing term for your mother and continues after placing his gaze upon you once again, “finish watching the movie and i pay for both of our rentals.” his focus on you remained until the end, or maybe a little bit after that. his eyes burned into you and you felt like you couldn`t run away from them, yet.
you were not going to lie but this proposal came like a shock. the giving of  the said dvd in question to junhui after you`ll be done with it wasn`t the main shocker at all―it was the fact that he was offering to pay for both his and yours rental for this dvd.
suddenly, you heard mingyu`s footsteps from behind you. junhui straightens his back and watches your friend coming close to you. he only shrugs when he looks down at you. you didn`t know what kind of expression mingyu wore but you wish it was nothing major.
“oi jun―” you close your eyes right then and exhale before turning around your body to face your friend but mingyu cut you off, although you don`t know if it was intentional or just simple coincidence, “are you hitting on ______? dude you just met her.”
there you go. that`s it. just what you were fearing.
clearly, his voice had a certain strain at the back of his throat but he covered it up with his playful voice. a voice which carried a laughter which could be both mockery or sound as fake as possible. you didn`t know if junhui noticed it but being grown up with mingyu since toddler days, you could make it out very well.
you put your palms on top the denim clad chest of your friend, calming down whatever you wanted to calm down.
at the same time, you only heard junhui chuckle behind you. you couldn`t make out if it was an evil one or a natural one but the smug on his face was evident in his voice.
“hey it`s fine.” you say, your voice wasn`t reaching the octave you intended.
“looks like big boy`s a little jealous that me & ____ are hitting it off as good friends already?”
“it`s not about being good friends….hitting on someone and being good friends is different.”
“i was just trying to put on a good impression on her, gyu.” junhui, this guy , he was clearly enjoying this. but if his intentions were good then you didn`t see any problem with it.
“i don`t mind that at all but just so you know, _____ isn`t someone who`ll sway that easily. she`s a tough nut to crack.”
you almost laughed at mingyu`s words―it looked as if he was speaking from experience but you just shook your head and turned around. both of your arms now raised up in the air stopping both boys from having a fight here solely because of you for some stupid reason.
“it`s okay, it`s all fine.”
you looked up at junhui and continued in a calm voice “thank you for the offer, junhui, but i`ll pay for my own rent or else my mother will question about it and i`m really not in a mood to explain such stuff to her and about giving the dvd to you―” you give him a soft smile and said further, “i`ll send it to you through mingyu considering you hang out with him these days, okay?”
you nod up at mingyu who was previously looking at junhui. but when he saw you were looking at him, he switched from his squinting eyes combined with a sour pout to a completely different expression, the kind he gives you as if it`s only reserved for you―typically a warm one.
mingyu closes his eyes for a second and nods.
“i hope we`re clear now?”
“i was just playing around, _____, don`t worry,” junhui raised both of his arms up as if surrendering and continued “there`s no bad intentions here.”
in junhui`s head he was obviously being a good person and so was mingyu. junhui walked over to mingyu and playfully circled his arms around your friend and puts his other hand on top of his chest rubbing it playfully.
you let out a small laugh and saw mingyu lowering his eyes to stare up at junhui through his lashes and rolled his eyes before elbowing his new buddy in his sternum. junhui only yelps letting out a wheeze.
and, with that the dvd rental shop got filled up to laughters yet again until the sudden intentional cough from the part-timer made both of these playful boys shush down with each of their forefingers on top of their individual lips.
rolling your eyes and shaking your head, you walked across the shelves and picked another two old classics and went to the counter to pay for the rents.
mingyu picked up a newly released movie he was looking forward to last spring and junhui picked out two recent but a little older movies.
after you were done with the payment and all, you were about to walk out of the shop and waved a goodbye to the boys who were still paying. mingyu ran a bit to the door to hold it for you.
but before the door would completely close on you, your eyes moved over at junhui who was still standing at the counter―he was waiting for the changes but his face was turned towards you and he was looking at you with a now unknown gaze. you couldn`t really make out what it was but for some reason it made you a little bit sad.
but before he could witness the curve of your mouth for him, he closed his eyes for a second and smiled at you. your eyes widen at this and instantly without knowing you smiled back at him fully.
and that was it.
that was the last time you met junhui at that close proximity. you had seen him at the basketball court, you had seen him at random street. some day or night your eyes have met with each other and sometimes they didn`t, but his smile had burned through the surface of mind. some time, at some random time, you`ll suddenly get a flash back of his smirk or that fleeting smile he gave you before you closed the door on both of your first meet.
also you knew that mingyu probably made sure junhui never gets to have any closure with you. there`s been couple of times when you`ve found jun across the corridors of the school, simply hanging around and before anything can happen mingyu had circled his arm around junhui dragging his focus away from you who`d just be passing by to deliver some copies of homework to the teacher`s rooms.
you didn`t question this.
afterall, mingyu himself was in a dilemma of sorting out his feelings for you. he would probably do anything until you accept him in your life as something more than just childhood friends but even junhui never made sure to take any attempt, other than casual glances.
well, that`s what you know. it not like you know everything that the future holds. maybe one day you`ll meet him again when mingyu`s not around and you both will have conversations that never happened or waited for the right moment to have anything grow out of the seeds sown in this new friendship.
but for now, it`s okay. maybe someone from another town will catch feelings for him better, it`s not like you`ve him bounded by some string of fate.
it`s okay wherever you stand now when it comes to your relationship with junhui.

english breakfast.
Prompt: "You never cease to amaze me."
Pairing: Boo Seungkwan x gender neutral reader (technically, the original one-shot this drabble comes from has a female reader)
Genre: fluff, established relationship, post-apocalyptic!au (a drabble from my IWYMH universe).
1.14k words
Warnings: a quick mention of making out, a very brief allusion to a deceased friend of the reader (from the original one-shot; it is not described here).
You and your boyfriend reminisce about some of the times you’ve had throughout your year spent together. Particularly about when you first fell for each other.
Alternatively, when you unexpectedly met Seungkwan on that fateful winter day continues to hold a special place in your heart.
A/N: I wanted to revisit the universe of the fic I wrote that kind of changed everything for me (alright, that sounds much more dramatic than it is). It was while I was creating IWYMH just over a month ago that I realized I wanted to start posting my writing online again for the first time in years. It reminded me how much I love creative writing and also how much I missed it.
By no means do you have to read the original for this one to make sense! Especially since it's over 10k words, and this barely surpasses 1k. If by chance you have read the original, this drabble takes place just before it begins.
Back to the teacup masterlist.
Tumblr media
•• "You never cease to amaze me, love," you say with a smile as Seungkwan provides you with your favourite mug, the smell of the tea flooding your senses.
"It's just a cup of tea, (Y/N), calm down."
"But you're the one who made it," you sing as he shakes his head with a smile. You change the subject out of courtesy of his burning ears, "What has to get done today?"
Seungkwan returns next to you on the living room floor with his own cup of tea, gingerly taking a sip from the steaming beverage. "Today's another run into the city. We're in search of medical equipment and toiletries primarily."
"We're?"
"Yeah, that's right, it's you and me today," your boyfriend beams and pokes your smiling cheek. "It means that I won't have to worry about you heading out with Junhui or Taehyung again. Instead, I'll be able to look out for you."
"Right, because I need to be looked after," you playfully roll your eyes. "That better not be code for making out in the back of a car or something."
"Who's to say?" Seungkwan asks lightly, feigning ignorance.
You shake your head at his words, but a smile still prominent on your face and cheeks becoming rosy at the thought of sneaking off with your boyfriend.
You trace your thumb over the steaming mug of tea, basking in the silence next to Seungkwan.
"Hey," he says with a soft voice, "do you remember before we began dating? I would make you cups of tea then, and we would sit here," he gestures to the couch beside you, "or outside on the balcony when the weather was warm enough."
"Yes, of course, I remember." You beam at thinking back to last year when you first began to bond with Seungkwan more upon arriving at the cabin.
"Well, it's been a year."
You lift your gaze to look at the boy. Slightly caught off guard, your expression reflects the newness of the information.
"Has it already? Gosh, that went by fast." Your head tilts in disbelief. "I'm sorry I didn't remember. I'm not the best at remembering dates—well, except for…" your words trail off, thinking about your childhood friend you lost, likewise last year.
"You don't have to say it, I know," Seungkwan reassures you. His hand lifts to your back, pulling you in for a side-hug, careful to not spill the hot drink you're holding, nor knocking his over where it's resting on the floor.
You lean your head onto his shoulder as you focus on the small circles he rubs between your shoulder blades. The teacup you're holding warms your hands while the kiss Seungkwan places on the top of your head warms your heart.
"Do you want to know the first time I realized I had a crush on you?"
As he processes your words, Seungkwan's hand stops moving momentarily, until he replies, "Only if I can give my answer after, too. About you."
"Okay," you smile, shifting slightly in your boyfriend's embrace to find optimum comfort. "It was one of the nights we spent talking until dawn on the balcony."
"You'll have to be more specific, love," you can hear the smile evident in Seungkwan's voice. "We've spent a lot of nights talking outside."
You giggle, "You're right. We tend to do that a lot, don't we?" You take a sip of the tea that's now cooled to a pleasant temperature. "It couldn't have been much longer than a month after I arrived. You were comforting me about—well, about a lot of things, but one thing that stuck with me was how you reminded me that life continues." You slowly pull yourself from Seungkwan's hold to look at him, "You reminded me that life continues even through difficult times."
"That's when you began falling for me?"
"That's all you got from that?" you lightly quip back but continue, "Time heals; you weren't the one who first taught me that, but you're certainly the one who proved it for me. This past year—this time with you—it's been healing."
"And I wouldn't change a thing," Seungkwan says in a hushed tone.
He leans in to place a gentle kiss on your cheek, then your lips. A habitual smile breaks out onto your face at the gesture.
"Now, do you want to know the first time I realized I was screwed?"
"You make it sound like falling for me was a bad thing."
"No, definitely not a bad thing," Seungkwan reassures you, "'I was screwed' in an 'Oh, well, I guess this is who my heart belongs to now,' kind of way."
You furrow your eyebrows, yet a grin remains evident on your face. "You're not making it sound very romantic, love."
"Anyways," the boy presses on, "it was none other than the day of your arrival when I first saw you wearing my sweatshirt."
"Oh, come on," you lightly push his shoulder. "You better not say it was love at first sight."
"It was love at first sight."
"Boo Seungkwan, I swear to–"
"Okay, maybe not love at first sight, but seriously, that was the moment I knew you were someone special. And you are someone special, I was right."
"What you are is cheesy," your head finds its spot on the boy's shoulder again.
"You're the one who brought the topic up in the first place, (Y/N). And besides," Seungkwan's nose nuzzles the top of your head, "you love me, I'm allowed to be cheesy."
You mumble something along the lines of him being right but drown your words in your cup of tea.
"Time to head out," you hear Wheein call from the doorway.
Your boyfriend stands first. "Time to head out," he repeats.
You nod and take Seungkwan's hand he holds out for you to help you up.
You deposit the ceramic cups in the kitchen before slipping on your boots and a light jacket. Seungkwan grabs a backpack after putting on his shoes and holds out a second bag for you to take.
Once Minghao comes to the porch to meet you all, the four of you begin the trek to head out into town.
Seungkwan's hand finds yours, fingers lacing in a comforting clasp. Your gaze lifts to meet his; you're both bearing gentle smiles at the simple act of affection.
Behind Seungkwan's head, you catch the familiar glimpse of his sweater—clean and drying on the clothesline strung between the house and a neighbouring tree. It slightly sways in the gentle spring breeze between the mix of the other clothes hanging to dry. That sweater has been your favourite article to wear since the day you unexpectedly arrived at this refuge, and you don't anticipate that to change anytime soon; likewise, your feelings about the boy whose hand fits perfectly in yours.

The Bet
Pairing: Wonwoo x Junhui
Prologue I Part 1 I Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6 | Part 7 | Part 8 | Part 9 | Part 10 | Part 11 | Part 12 | Part 13 | Part 14 | Part 15 | Part 16 | Part 17 | Part 18 | Part 19 | Part 20 (FINAL)
The next morning, Junhui was just leaving for school when he nearly tripped over something at his front door. Frowning, he bent down to pick it up, realizing that it was a single red rose. There was a capital letter ‘I’ taped to its stem.
Desperately hoping for it to have been from someone and yet terrified to be disappointed yet again, he placed it carefully in his bag and tried not to think too hard about it.
“Morning Junnie, how was your sleep? I couldn’t sleep all night it was terrible.” Junhui would never say this to his friend’s face, because a tired Jihoon was still Jihoon nonetheless, but his friend did look really bad. He was sure his own face mirrored him though.
“Oh right, I found this taped to my locker, with a note that says to give it to you.” Handing Junhui another familiar flower, this time with the word ‘AM’ taped to it.
“Strange, this is the second one today.”
“Maybe you have a new secret admirer! Also, I don’t want to make you feel bad but, Soonyoung sent me a video this morning, but I’ve been too scared to actually watch it. Should I though, do you want me to?” Jihoon looked up shyly at Junhui, as if thinking he would explode and run away after hearing that.
“Of course! Jihoon, I know you love him, and if he’s actually making the effort to win you back, I’m all for it! Go and watch the video idiot! I’ll be fine, really.”
There were more appearances of the roses throughout the rest of the day. Random people whom Junhui had never even talked to before came up to him and passed him the roses, before giggling slightly and running away, never giving Junhui the chance to ask who were they from.
By lunch, he started to form a sentence with the eleven roses he received. They spelt out ‘I AM SO SORRY AND I LOVE YOU TOO, VERY MUCH’. At this point, the sender was quite obvious, so Junhui rushed excitedly to where Jihoon was sitting to tell him the good news. However, Jihoon was looking a bit strange, like he just cried.
“Hoonie, what’s wrong? Don’t lie to me, you look exactly like how you did yesterday after our breakdown session.” Instead of bursting into further tears, Jihoon looked at Junhui and gave a huge smile.
“He wrote me a song Junnie, he composed and produced it himself! And he choreographed a dance to go with it. All that just to say he was sorry! Oh Junnie, I’m so happy and touched! I hope you and Wonwoo have a similar outcome.”
“Well, about that…” Junhui couldn’t finish his sentence because of the sudden interruption in the cafeteria. Both of them turned to look around, and too Junhui’s surprise, the boy currently standing on top of a table in the centre of the room was none other than Wonwoo.
He was holding another rose and was gesturing at Junhui to come over. Feeling very shy all of a sudden, Junhui was rooted to his spot. But Wonwoo didn’t give up and continued pleading with his eyes, causing the rest of the school to cheer Junhui on.
Wishing all the commotion and the attention would stop, he hurries over to the table. Wonwoo kneels down and takes his hand, then shouts,
“Junhui I love you!” before hopping down the table and giving him the final rose. This only had his name ‘JUNHUI’ taped to it. He connects the dots, twelve roses means a declaration of love and passion. Trust Wonwoo to actually research the meanings of flowers to make his already huge and romantic gesture even more romantic.
“Please believe me. I can’t even begin to tell you how sorry I am about everything. I 100% promise everything I said while we were together was completely true, I meant every single part. I completely lied about all the hurtful things though, when we were breaking up, I only said it to spare you from the hurt. But like the idiot I am, I still caused you so much hurt. When you told me you loved me, I wanted to say it back so badly, but I couldn’t because of that stupid bet, which right now seems completely pointless. When you were gone, I realized that nothing mattered more than you, especially not my stupid reputation. So I just declared my love in front of everyone to prove that to you. Junhui, please forgive me and take me back?”
Junhui didn’t even know he was crying until Wonwoo gently started to wipe his tears away, he nodded vigorously and Wonwoo immediately pulled him into a bone-crushing hug. The entire school erupted into loud shouts and cheers, everyone getting excited over Wonwoo’s public declaration. Since no one knows Junhui more than Wonwoo, he immediately gets pulled away to a more quieter location where they could continue to talk in peace. On the way out, Junhui notices Soonyoung and Jihoon standing at the side, having a serious conversation as well.
Once they entered an empty classroom, Wonwoo wastes no time in pulling Junhui in for a passionate kiss, which he reciprocates with just as much energy. The kiss slowly turns into a make out session, and when the pause to catch their breath, Wonwoo rests their foreheads together and whispers.
“I love you so much kitten.” His heart soaring at the return of a familiar nickname, Junhui realizes he hadn’t returned the sentiments yet.
“I love you so much too Wonnie.” Wonwoo’s eyes light up and he leans in, but just as they were about to meet, a noise at the door makes them look up, only to see Soonyoung and Jihoon walk in, hand in hand. There was definitely some tears in Jihoon’s eyes, as they turn to look at the other couple.
“I believe you have something to say Soonie.” Jihoon nudges a suddenly very shy Soonyoung closer to Junhui. Wonwoo stiffens and tries to get between the both of them but Junhui places a hand on his arm to let Wonwoo know he was okay.
“I’m so sorry Junhui, I can’t believe how immature I was to come up with that bet and for being so stupid to take it that far. Please know that Wonwoo’s feelings are completely real, just in case you still have any doubts. Within a week of y’all dating he kept blowing up my phone for relationship advice, can you believe it?” Soonyoung starts to smile slightly, then stops when Wonwoo makes a not-very-subtle cough behind them. “Okay sorry, anyway I’m also very sorry for always calling you a loser and all, but you definitely aren’t one. If anything, I’m the loser for getting all upset and jealous that you had more attention than me. Will you forgive me too Junhui?” He ends his apology by looking up into Junhui’s eyes and giving the cutest puppy dog eyes ever. How could Junhui say no to those eyes?
“That’s great, now that everyone is all happy and stuff, can we actually all be friends now? I want to do that double date again, just that this time it can’t end with me scolding this idiot for the whole night.” Huffed Jihoon, while everyone else laughed in agreement.

Note: After many many years of my procrastination, I’m finally done with this story! There should be an epilogue, just because I love 96 line and I really want some cute moments, but I do have a lot of things going on so I’m not sure when it’ll be up! Do check out my masterlist for more fics in the meantime!

sweet night [pt.2]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: non-idol!mingyu x fem!reader
word count: 4.0k
warnings: reader dealing with the aftermath of part 1. some betrayal. a lot of mingyu being there and being supportive of reader. food mentions. talks of cheating.
daisy’s notes: my favorite part of writing this fic is really just going “no no no i swear there’s more to this bit--” because it’s multi-part and certain things get addressed later lmao. in other words: i know things seem bad and they kind of are but also there’s more to it i swear-
summary: As the adopted daughter of the Kim family and current heir to the company, you have it all. An arranged marriage with your soon-to-be fiance who you truly fell in love with, respect from your workers for being good at your job, a good relationship with both your family and your good friends... What more could you want out of life? And yet all it takes is one night for everything to fall down, and one man to help pick up the pieces.
< previous part || masterlist || next part >
Tumblr media
The curtains were drawn mostly shut, but the sliver of morning light that fell in a slant across the foot of the bed was enough to wake you up. It stretched far and thin, and it was the first thing you focused on when you awoke. Then it all hit you hard and you felt as though a truck had hit you the night before. The crying had dehydrated you, and you reached for the glass of water set on the nightstand to take large gulps in an attempt to soothe your dry, achy throat.
Then you paused, looking down at it. Did Mingyu leave that there? Most likely--he probably knew you’d wake up feeling almost worse than you did the night before. Fuck, did that mean he saw you crying? You shook off the thought. No. Mingyu wouldn’t have just... left you if he saw you crying. He must have come in while you were sleeping.
That was better. You could deal with that. At least he gave you space to cry before he left the water there. You’d have to thank him for it.
You set the water back down, grabbing your phone and unplugging it. It was almost nine in the morning, and you could see a string of missed calls from well over two hours ago. From your parents, from Seungkwan, from a few other friends of yours that must have heard. Soonyoung had texted you that you could call him if you needed to; Minghao said that Seungkwan better not show his face at the company anytime soon if he knew what was good for him; Junhui asked you if you needed anything from him, followed up by a “sleep well, take care” timed ten minutes later; and Chan was just trying to figure out where you were. He said your parents kept asking him if you went to his place, and to please at least let him know that you were safe. You answered those few people back and no one else: a thanks so Soonyoung and Junhui, a gentle warning to Minghao to remain cordial so you wouldn’t have to take disciplinary action (no matter how much you wanted to see him tear into Seungkwan), and a simply message to Chan that you were with Mingyu. None of them were people you were upset with, after all. They deserved answers.
Both of your parents had texted you to call them, too. You didn’t. You just turned the ringer back on, hoping that they wouldn’t call anytime soon. Yes, you’d answer if they did--but you weren’t going to initiate contact. You could deal with the inevitable comments about you being immature, maybe, and you could deal with every panicked text that Seungkwan sent you, begging you to at least tell him that you were safe, or to call him and to talk to him. Joshua had told him he saw you crying, but that Mingyu had gone to comfort you. You nearly slammed your phone back onto the bed, still pissed at Seungkwan. He could be anxious and pissed at you all he wanted: you weren’t his anymore, and he sure as fuck wasn’t yours. So who cared what feelings he’d have to put up with because of his actions?
What you couldn’t put up with, though, was the fact your stomach was already rumbling. You barely ate the night before and you were already feeling the effects of it, and the fact Mingyu was cooking breakfast didn’t help. The smell was delicious, and you dragged yourself out of bed. You could hear the blender start up a moment later, only to stop a moment later when his phone started ringing. You drew closer, cracking the door open to listen in--if it was important, you’d hang back longer.
Mingyu’s voice carried louder than you think he intended. “She’s with me,” he said after a moment. “You’re lucky I picked up. What were you thinking?!”
Oh. Seungkwan had called him. It went quiet for a moment, long enough for you to start feeling guilty that you were eavesdropping.
“You were stupid to do it. Didn’t you consider how she’d feel? She loved you.”
Part of you wanted to back away, but something kept you standing right there: listening intently for something.
“You weren’t thinking,” Mingyu said a moment later. You’d never heard him sound so serious outside of business. “If you wanted to end things with her, then you should have done that instead of making it a public event. Don’t you think people will talk? Reporters would eat this thing up--I don’t care that you had them barred from the event because of this. How long did you know?”
Another pause.
“We’re coming by to get her things. Don’t be there.” You could hear the anger laced into Mingyu’s voice, and your chest ached at that. Whatever Seungkwan told him, it’d been too long for Mingyu’s liking. Too long for your own, by extension. A moment later, you heard his phone hit the counter and a disgusted sigh escaped him. You shut the door, escaping into the bathroom instead, and take a few extra minutes after washing your hands to try and look more presentable. When you finally left his bedroom, Mingyu was pouring a shake into a container for himself. He had your morning tea already made and still steaming hot when you made your way to his side.
Any of that anger had dissipated the moment you opened the door. “Good morning,” he said, smiling at you. It was almost as if you didn’t just hear him getting angry with Seungkwan. Like you had dreamed it up. “I made you pancakes,” he nodded toward the plate nearby, piled high with perfectly golden brown pancakes.
Mingyu was never a “pancakes for breakfast” kind of guy unless it was a special treat. He worked out and prioritized his health most days--you knew that shake had chicken breast in it for the protein and that he’d likely work out soon. He was really busting out all the stops to make you feel better. He picked up the plate, nodding for you to go sit as he carried everything for you. It was always moments like this that made you think Mingyu’s future partner would be lucky: he was so loving with you, you could only imagine how he’d be with someone he actually loved.
“I talked to Seungkwan,” he told you outright after you started eating. “He said he’d tell your parents where you are. And he won’t be there around lunch when we go for your things. I have people coming to move things out of my office soon.”
You gave him a curious look. “Are you moving?”
“Are you moving back in with your parents?” He asked, and you immediately gave him a look of disgust at the idea. As much as you loved them, your freedom felt more... limited when you were living at home. At least you could escape some expectations living on your own--or with Seungkwan. You liked having your own space, too. “You can stay with me until you find an apartment,” he said. “I just want you to move somewhere you’ll be safe instead of the first place you can find.”
It was sweet how much he cared for you. “You don’t have to,” you said. “I can afford a hotel room--”
“It’s safer here with me,” he said. “If you don’t want to stay, you don’t have to. But I don’t mind if you want to stay here for a bit. You’re my best friend: I’m happy to let you stay here.”
You opened your mouth to answer, only for your phone to start ringing. It was your dad, and you sighed before excusing yourself to pick it up. Mingyu watched you leave, pulling the glass door to his backyard open as you stepped into the fresh air. He smiled to himself for a moment: even when you just woke up, you were still pretty to him. He turned his attention to eating breakfast, running through his plans for the day mentally. The movers would be there in an hour, he could rearrange part of his room so that his desk was in there...
You came back sooner than he expected, visibly pissed. “They knew.”
He looked up. “What?”
“They both knew Seungkwan was going to do that,” you said, throwing yourself down into the seat near him. You buried your face in your hands for a moment, before massaging at your temples. “And they didn’t tell me.”
Mingyu could only stare at you, his own anger quietly building. He kept calm, though: you deserved to be angry at your family. All he needed to do was stay there to support you. “Why?”
“They thought he was going to!” Your voice cracked. “Even when I told them yesterday I was excited for the party, they just let me believe I was really going to get engaged to the love of my life... They said he told them again he was going to go through with it at the party.  They didn’t think he was going to, but...” You shut your eyes for a moment, voice trailing off. A moment later, after you composed yourself with a deep breath, you opened your eyes again. “I can’t believe he’s been cheating on me, too.”
Mingyu reached over, taking your hand in his own. “I’m sorry.”
“You talked to him,” you said, picking up a knife so that you could cut into your breakfast to distract yourself. “How long has he been cheating?”
Mingyu said nothing.
“Six months?” You asked. He frowned, opening his mouth to respond, and yet nothing came out. So you prodded further: “Eight? A year?”
“Four months,” he answered with a reluctant sigh. “Technically. He’s known them all his life and he thought the feelings would go away.”
“So how long...?” You couldn’t finish the question aloud. How long has he loved them?
“Years,” he admitted. “Since before you started dating.”
You shoved food into your mouth instead of responding. After a moment, Mingyu reached out again, hand stopping you before you could take another bite.
“He loved you,” he told you, that same serious tone in his voice. “I don’t think he would have led you on. He would have let you go sooner if he knew for sure that it was them and not you. You know Seungkwan. He wouldn’t toy with you.”
As much as you didn’t want to admit that he was right... Seungkwan wouldn’t. Seungkwan was headstrong and unapologetic. That was why he went through with it, wasn’t it? Things were more complicated than you wanted to admit. That was why it hurt so much: if they weren’t, you wouldn’t hurt so much. That much was clear.
“He won’t be there when we go,” Mingyu reiterated. “I thought you wouldn’t want to see him, and he knows I’ll be with you... so I don’t think he’ll try to speak to you until he knows you’re ready.”
That made you glad that Mingyu was over six-foot and worked out. If he weren’t so playful, he’d do well as a bodyguard. At least he’d be a good “bodyguard in a cheesy romance” where he fell for the person he was protecting. Then again, Mingyu was pissed at Seungkwan...
Soon enough, Mingyu was directing movers around his house. Moving exercise equipment and furniture as needed. His office desk was brought into his bedroom, and he was making arrangements to have a bed brought in for you. He spared little expense for you, to be honest: he wanted you comfortable while you lived with him. You honestly had no doubts that he’d do this for any of his friends. That was the kind of person Mingyu was. It made you wish you fell in love with him instead of Seungkwan. At least Mingyu wouldn’t break your heart so cruelly.

Moving out of your apartment a few hours later felt... different. Mingyu was right there with you, sitting on the floor and putting together boxes that the two of you would later recycle. You wanted to move out quietly and quickly, which was why you talked him out of getting anyone else to help. If anyone, you would have asked Chan--but you didn’t want to involve him in your personal life anymore. Besides, you knew what was yours, what was Seungkwan’s, and you sorted things out as needed. Mingyu brought your clothes down to his car, helping you erase every piece of your existence from the space piece by piece. There were things Seungkwan gifted you that you hesitated on. The jewelry you’d keep, despite the bad memories they held now: you genuinely liked the pieces, after all. They made you feel beautiful, and you’d one day work your way back up to where they were just another piece you owned.
You packed away your mugs, the cute things you bought for the two of you to use when cooking and whatnot. The small fake plants could stay, as did the stationery that you bought but Seungkwan used more often. Your favorite pens, notebooks; all the things related to your work.
You noticed that the bed was still made from the morning before, and you stared at it for a moment. Seungkwan usually forgot to do it in the mornings, and you’d seen the pillow and blanket on the couch...
You pushed the thought aside. He was likely out celebrating with his fiance. They fucking deserved each other.
Mingyu sealed boxes for you when he needed to, and loosely shut the others before he carried them down to pile in his car. When all was said and done, Mingyu stood at the entrance and noticed just how much of your existence was packed away.
“It’s like you were never here,” he mused aloud.
“That’s the point.”
It was scary how fast a person’s existence could be erased from a space. You stood before him in the doorway, Mingyu holding the last box in his arms. You remembered the quiet kisses you shared with Seungkwan in the doorway, sometimes tipsy and leading to more; the intimate moments of being vulnerable with one another on that stupid couch, the way he held you while he cried alongside you... It all felt so distant now. Like the breakfast you shared with him yesterday morning was years ago, just like the tiny kiss you pressed against the corner of his mouth time and time again just to hear him laugh...
“Are you ready?” Mingyu asked quietly, watching you stare longingly at a life you’d never live. “We have a few more places we need to go.”
You nodded, hesitating to move. “Just... saying goodbye.”
He shifted the box into one arm, laying a hand between your shoulder blades. Maybe if he looked hard enough, he could see what you saw. “I’ll go ahead,” he said quietly. “Come down when you’re ready, okay?”
He left you with a gentle peck onto your temple to remind you that you weren’t in this alone, and you took a deep breath. The late dinners you’d cook with Seungkwan, always careful to instruct him... He’d always look up at you and tell you that he remembered, thank you, and he could cook just fine on his own before he’d kiss you with a laugh. He learned to brew your morning tea the way you like it, almost perfect. Maybe with another day, he’d get it right. A part of you would stay there in that apartment, with him, and you’d never get it back. A part of him stayed with you, too, whether you liked it or not. That was the difficult part of heartbreak, after all: mourning the part you left behind and learning to move on without it.
But moving forward meant learning to cope. And the first step for you came with shutting the door and walking away. So that was what you did.
Goodbye, your past life. It was time to start healing, no matter what awaited you on that path.

Step two came that Monday with facing work again. Everyone knew, after all. It was your turn to put on a brave face and act as though everything was fine. You were stronger than this, after all, and if you weren’t, then what would that say to those who looked to you for guidance?
You woke up to Mingyu’s breakfast again that morning. The two of you had fallen into something comfortable far sooner than you expected. Chan ended up going out with you that Sunday, talking about your plans from that point on. You’d start looking for apartments as soon as you could: you needed to take control of the other things more related to your work. There’d be no merger in the future with Boo Cosmetics after all, and you needed to figure out how things would work from now on. Hopefully, his family wouldn’t pull all support as soon as possible. You just had to figure out the best way to face that problem.
And more importantly, to you, you had to figure out how to face Seungkwan and his family again when the time came.
Your driver took you to work while you read things out, slowly tuning out your personal life more and more on that ride there. Work was separate from your private life, and always should be. Your relationship with Mr. Boo Seungkwan and his family were strictly professional from that point on. No talking about what was already dead and buried: you didn’t need to face that anymore. You had a company to care for. People whose jobs depended on your guidance. If you slipped up because you let someone like Boo affect you, then you weren’t as fit as you thought to do this job.
You could tell there was a certain tension over the office when you came in. They bowed to you the same way they did every moment, and then just... stopped. Waiting for something--whether that was in you saying something from the way you had stopped, or for you to continue on while Wen directed them from there.
You put on a fake smile when you face them, “Let’s do our best today.”
That put some of them at ease, save for the few that you expected--the ones that could see through you too easily. You continued onto your office nonetheless, making your way to your desk as you prepared to get straight into work. You were at your computer, reading over reports when Chan let himself in with your tea. He never seemed to get it entirely right, either, but you appreciated his efforts more than you appreciated a perfect cup. He started to fill you in on status reports and your scheduled meetings.
Then he let down the professional air, “Are you really okay? It’s okay if you aren’t.”
Chan was close to your age, and it made sense how often he spoke to you casually. Usually, he’d save it for outside of work, but you could see how concerned he still was. You tried to wave him off yesterday, saying you’d be okay, but... Maybe that was why he was your secretary. You’d never know why he applied for the position, but you liked his spunk when you interviewed him. Him dropping the business act now always made sense: he liked speaking to you as a person when he was allowed to. He was the only one who could get away with it during work hours.
“I’m peachy,” you said, your smile still forced. “Please call Secretary Kim and reschedule the lunch meeting with Mr. Boo for later this week, Secretary Lee.”
His eyes widened slightly, but he understood immediately. This was business. “I’ll check your schedule,” he promised. “Do you want to meet with him alone before you meet with his family on Wednesday?”
You could have sworn that meeting was Thursday. “Tomorrow works,” you fought back a frown. “Please clear your schedule as well for that meeting. It’s strictly a business lunch and I’ll need you to take notes,” you idly rearranged part of your desk, organizing it to keep yourself preoccupied. “Please tell Mr. Boo’s secretary to make that part incredibly clear to him.”
Chan nodded. He reached into his pocket, drawing out a few of your favorite wrapped candies. He set them on your desk, speaking in a quiet voice, “Wen told me to give you these.”
Of course Junhui would. He knew your favorites well and probably bought them that morning.
You scooped them toward you to put them in your drawer for later. “Please tell him I said thank you, but do so quietly.”
Chan merely nodded again, the smallest smile spreading across his lips. “I think we’re going to be okay,” he said. “We’re here for you if you need anything.”
You liked having a good relationship with your workers. It was nice to know people supported you.
A bouquet of flowers came for you later: two, actually. Pink hydrangeas that had a note written in his handwriting telling you to call him as soon as you were ready. You almost threw them out the moment you saw them, but you left them on your desk--more preoccupied with the second vase of blue hyacinth that had come for you. You didn’t recognize the handwriting, and there was no name with them. Just three sentences: “I’m sorry he did that to you. You deserve so much better. I hope we can be friends someday.”
Minghao eyed both bouquets when he came into your office to hand off his reports. “He better not be trying to win you back,” he said, casually enough.
“I don’t think Mr. Boo would consider trying something like that since our relationship is strictly professional,” you forced a smile, already looking through the file he’d given you.
Minghao didn’t bother to hide the amused look on his face when you glanced up at him. Despite his offer to throw out the card and put the flowers somewhere nicer--maybe the break room, since it could always use some color--you turned him down. He left you soon enough, and your phone lit up with a message from Mingyu. It had just been a picture of his lunch, teasingly asking if you were jealous.
Maybe the two of you could get lunch one day when you weren’t busy. Maybe you could even turn it into a business lunch since your companies had collaborations. Chan later came in to announce that your lunch with Seungkwan was canceled--for undisclosed reasons on his behalf--with only an apology to you and a promise to see you when you met later in the week. You let out a sigh of relief the moment Chan was gone. One less battle to face.
At the end of your busy day, you were driven back to Mingyu’s home. Your home, too, technically. You promised him that you’d get out of his hair as soon as you could, that all you needed was time to pull yourself back together and find a place. You ended up removing both cards, shutting them into a drawer to throw away properly later where people wouldn’t find them, and gave out flowers to the people in your department to thank them for their hard work that day. You had to ignore the knowing smile Minghao gave you when he took a blue hyacinth from the bunch, not hassling you in the slightest. Throwing away the flowers felt wrong because they were still pretty, and re-gifting them as a complete bouquet just felt... wrong.
Mingyu was already home when you arrived, having changed into something casual as he started cooking dinner. Something about it felt so domestic. You ignored the ache in your chest of the evenings you’d come home to Seungkwan in an apron, telling you to go change and to not come out because he was going to surprise you.
It felt weird, adjusting to this new way of life. But at least you had people to help anchor you throughout it.
