🛒 - what are some common things you incorporate in your fics? themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

ok i've already talked about this one a bit but i'm trying to think if there's anything i haven't already said....i guess one thing that i find myself including in all my fics so far is like, the idea of love as something destructive? like a character either loving someone so much that they know they're going to have to sacrifice or destroy other things in their life, or a character loving someone so much that they don't know how to hold onto them without gripping so tight they leave bruises. i simply cannot get enough of love as horror and horror as love ♥️

💋 - first kiss fics. love em or hate em?

ehhhh neutral. first kisses aren't something interesting to me in and of themselves just because....idk i don't think they're that important personally like i take kissing somewhat casually ig.

❌ - what's a trope you will never write?

soulmates au. i will never write anything about soulmates i just personally do not find the trope even the slightest bit compelling i'm sorry 💀

🦅 - do you outline fics or fly by the seat of your pants?

i make like....very vague and messy outlines and then ramble to my sister in voice notes lol. so i'm not just raw-dogging every ch i write but i also am generally going off like. 2 or 3 bullet points.

🤗 - what advice would you give to new fanfic writers that are just getting started?

i've already talked about this here! but something i will say again amidst all these discussions i've been seeing and having about social media and capitalism and audiences:

try to frame your thinking around writing for connection, not consumption. it's easy to get caught up in the idea that for anything to be worthwhile these days it has to be seen and consumed by thousands of nameless people, but fanfiction really does not fit into that mold and you likely will not find the fulfillment you're seeking if you go into writing it with the mindset that your work won't matter unless tons of people see it. i promise that it is so, so much more meaningful to use fanfiction as a way to connect with other individuals and cultivate a little space on the internet where u just get to be creative together and enjoy something that is uniquely situated outside a profit economy 💕

🤩 - who is your favorite character to write?

talked about marlene and sirius already but honestly another character i love writing is dumbledore 🙈 like i love making him into this sort of manipulative morally grey character it's just sooooo fun

🎉 - what leads you to consider a fic a success?

writing it lol 💀 no but actually like a fic is a success for me personally if it's something i enjoy reading back later, because i'm not lying when i say i write stories for myself that i want to read. and then if like even one person interacts to talk to me about my writing and i get to connect with someone over something i've written that's like....dream come true!!! hooray!!

i think it's really easy to get caught up in a numbers game but anytime i find myself worrying about how many other people are reading my writing i force myself to sit with those feelings and think about where they're coming from, and then to reframe my thinking. and sometimes it's hard, but it's really not healthy for me to be writing fanfiction for any single person other than myself, so! that's that.

⌛️ - how long does it take you to write a fic or a chapter?

honestly it varies a lot but like. with the hand that feeds i'm now going on month 6 of writing, and atyd sirius's pov took me 6 months, so right now that seems to be the baseline? but they are vastly different lengths so 💀 and also it took me an entire year to finish my captive prince rewrite, which is around the same length in its entirety as thtf, so! and alice look at me only took like 2 days, but that's a short one.

with thtf i've been aiming for around 4k words per ch and i feel like....on average it takes me maybe 4 hours to write a ch? like 1 hour per 1k words? but of course those 4 hours are usually broken up and interspersed with distractions and writers block and general life, so....yeah it's honestly just hard to give a good estimate lol

idk if u care but crispin gray recently had an interview about his entire career and it kind of changed my perspective of queenadreena…idk if for better or for worse lol. it was weird to see him so dismissive of a lot of his catalogue w katie except for ‘love your money’ just because that was the only remotely chart successful song. i get you want to be able to sustain yourself but jeez him and katie really had a weird back and forth relationship

Sorry i'm replying late, i've seen the interview pop up on Youtube but honestly i was too invested in university shit recently & generally not in the good mood for that but i'm planning to watch. How did it change your view on Queen Adreena, did he say something mean specifically on QA or Katie? I mean i gotta watch it but honestly? Not surprised in the slightest. A few years ago he was asked to describe fave songs he recorded throughout the years and he listed more of Daisy Chainsaw ones than anything else, with Love Your Money as number 1. The differences in their points of view are real something, Katie Jane absolutely HATED Love Your Money, same as Daisy Chainsaw. Kinda apparent he wanted bigger fame but DC dropped fast and QA failed to live up to their predictions.

i had a time when i liked to dig up old Queen Adreena interviews that are lost in the old internet & generally not available for years (which i planned to post on is-she-suffering but my investment in that site is... varied in its intensity). Also that was back in the days when i wrote Queen Adreena book during manic phase and tried to sell it but lost motivation Well since i don't do anything with that knowledge anyway i'll put what i know here as i love fan discussions

So they sure had/have odd back and forth love-hate relationship & that's the reason why their career went how it went. There's been a huge tension between them at some point. I'm sure you know she had a major mental breakdown (probably schizophrenic episode) after Daisy Chainsaw, or even beginning before her leaving, and then she went into isolation and lived with an old woman in Lake District for awhile. She left Daisy Chainsaw cause Crispin didn't want her to come up with her own songs (all of DC was by Crispin except for Lovely ugly brutal world by KJ).

They almost split up as Queen Adreena after Drink Me. The material for The Butcher and The Butterfly was written at different times, originally it was meant to be called Atom Bomb at Bikini but it was constantly delaying and they eventually recorded everything they've got live. So that's obvious right? But i was surprised to find out they were writing songs separately. Some of them (i forgot which though) were written by Katie Jane and Pete Howard's sons band (they're even credited) + some with Melanie Garside, Richard Adams + some other musician. Katie Jane didn't like it. They intended it to be their last album at the time. She also hated live at ICA show but they released it cause they were broke

But that's a digression. I just wanna say that at this point they were done with each other but kept pushing it. Katie had her own art projects and stuff, Crispin started Dogbones with Nomi and i just remember how vaguely pissed at Katie he waas in the interviews. Like he stressed that Dogbones is his number one priority and if Katie wants to do something with Queenadreena, she must wait til Dogbones have a break first or something, and it sounded oddly bitter.

RaCH and Djinn era are just so weird, they had opportunities but let them go in a way. I don't think many people know but they were huge demand in Japan. They entered album charts and were interviewed by 11 magazines and 6 (!)TV stations there (wtf happened to that material i want to know???). But they only played 5 times or less.

Katie said she considers the band dead but they decided they can try to play for a couple more months. But aside from that she 100% lost the interest in the band around Djinn. There's an interview where she says "the overall image is Crispin but the shape will change again at rehearsals". And you can hear it, it’s more blues rock than anything. IMO it's their worst production wise. Instruments are fine but Katie's voice is so badly produced that sometimes i find some songs fucking irritating, cause they didn’t cut out her breaths and the vocals are TOO LOUD, to the point of distorting. As if she stands too close to the mic. The album is fine but it feels unfinished.

And here we come back to Crispin... here's what he said after the QA split:

Why the Dogbones started? “I needed to work more than the previous band I was in was working, the previous band who shall remain nameless, haha… um… Queenadreena. I wanted to work more than the singer of Queenadreena wanted to work… so that’s why it started. Fine by me… but I really like to be in a band, I’m not a solo project kind of guy. The last album (‘Djin’) did come out in the UK, but it was so low key because Katie kind of disappeared so there was little point in promoting it. Personally it’s my favourite by far so it was a shame but there you go… So here are Dogbones, it’s not been an easy ride but we are trying very hard.

Ok so the bitterness is kinda apparent isn't it. I think there were two reasons why they argued so much, first musical differences. Katie at some point lost interest in loud rock music for some years and went the folk way in Ruby Throat. I have a theory that Taxidermy and Drink Me are more influenced by Katie Jane and Butcher and Djinn are more Crispin. During first albums i think Katie more actively took part in music composition and choosing arrangements. She wrote lyrics, melodies but also composed a lot of songs on some little electronic keyboard thing and 4 track (Heavenly Surrender, Pray for me, My Silent Undoing, all Lalleshwari +more). Plus she wanted more peaceful/dreamy sound on Taxidermy than full on rock, Crispin complained about it in some 00's interview, that he'd like it to be more rock. Then there are 2 versions of Drink Me, the original has rough and alt versions of songs (it was sold by Katie and it's leaked on FB and probably YT). Crispin Gray apparently really hated the final Drink Me. Now next album is The Butcher & The Butterfly and it's more standard blues rock, no more crazy dreamy things of previous albums etc., Djinn is even more blues rock but darker. Djinn was his favourite at some point while KJ hated Butcher, not sure about Djinn. So i think they had different views on where they should go, Katie made her weird simplistic creepy tunes (like Lalleshwari) and folk melodies adding that strange things to noise rock. Crispin probably wanted blues & rock.

Other than that, i’m convinced they are bitter exes, lol. There’s been rumours about them dating during Daisy Chainsaw for years, plus Katie had a history of dating band members. Crispin wrote X-ing off the days about her. I don’t know if they dated again in Queen Adreena. Then there’s this interview, timeline is unclear, either The butcher & the butterfly or later:

„Katie writes all the songs herself and often looks for melodies and structure with the drummer. With Crispin - her husband or ex-husband, which is not entirely clear to me - for almost three years she has no longer been in a room. "Sometimes we send him a letter with a new song and that's all we can do. All we have are our lungs and our musical talent and we have to do with it. It is repugnant difficult life, I know most of the time how I should deal with it." But Queenadreena will still remain even exist? "I think so, we are now pretty busy and I see where the ship aground.”

I always wondered what exactly happened after Djinn, i’ve seen Katie Jane say „i think they gave up on me” while others said she disappeared. Other times CG said there’s no bad blood between them but at the same time there’s been some weird tension.  As of recent i thought they reconnected somehow through the internet and had a good relation but who really knows.s

I get why Crispin gets irritated when people compare everything he does to „stealing from KJ” but honestly, he gave them good reasons, at least in the 90’s. I can believe Starsha Lee singer isn’t copying Katie cause she’s from Brazil or something and she didn’t know Queen Adreena before. But everything else… Crispin’s problem is that he doesn’t know what he wants. He spent 90’s chasing something, tried singing himself, had girl singer replacements and even one KJ copy. Dogbones was ironically his most original non-Katie band, even with all their grunge influences. In a way he wants to be a frontman and at the same time doesn’t. Idk if he’s very controlling, but Daisy Chainsaw shows he valued his songs/lyrics first & in Queen Adreena he had to step back a lot, cause Katie’s condition was she would be in charge of the lyrics. I don’t think he realizes how strongly Daisy Chainsaw issues affected Katie, i mean from her own words you can read that aside from media attention/hate, her being unable to write lyrics had a role in her breakdown. I think she now let go but for years she hated remembering Daisy Chainsaw and she felt kind of worthless cause she was only somebody else’s mouthpiece. I’m not trying to say he’s cruel or anything, but i firmly believe rock lyrics writers should sing their own songs or else there are problems.

They both were writers-composers with different vision and i have impression they struggled a lot while shaping their songs, cause they both stuck to their ideas. Hence 2 versions of Princess Carwash maybe. Katie once said that he „gets terribly upset with her” cause she writes her songs on a simple wind organ and uses a few chord buttons only. Clash of writer ways/personalities/egos and at some point they had to let go.

Maybe he prefers music/bands where he was 100% in control including lyrics (note he wrote/sang some lyrics in Dogbones too). Daisy Chainsaw achieved bigger success US and UK wise as they were offered to play Top of The Pops, and they’re more well liked/remembered by „general alt public”. Queen Adreena however is way more valued as a cult band, with cult following and admiration in UK & France. Most people think Pretty Like Drugs and other QA songs are his best work and he probably finds it irritating cause truth is, he never managed to be more successful than Daisy Chainsaw/Queenadreena. Love Your Money is ironically the least Crispin Gray/DC/QA sounding song in my opinion. I kinda find it irritating that he downplays Queen Adreena cause it was probably his best work in this band but whatever

So yeah sorry for the word spill, that’s what i can think of it right now but as i said, i haven’t watched the interview yet, it’s just this kind of treatment is in a way consistent for him

You can tell me BUMBLEBEE is a great movie all you want. I’m still gonna be over here thinking it’s fucked up studios find it easier to greenlight a spinoff about a random Transformer than spin offs of the many marginalized characters of major blockbuster franchises every bit as profitable as Transformers and more.

Hollywood can’t come up with a solo adventure and/or the funding or marketing for a STORM solo movie or a FALCON solo spinoff or even include a single gay or trans character of any race in any of these major franchises but they can come up with a script and a $100 million dollar budget for a walking yellow Volkswagon no problem!

It’s just not realistic crafting a major motion picture around a mute protagonist played by an actually disabled actor, but lol that’s not gonna stop them from centering a robot hero who averages one line of dialogue every five minutes because he can only talk by changing radio stations and piecing together bits and pieces of what people are saying on the radio to form sentences. That’s not an insurmountable hurdle like idk, making the industry more accessible to the disabled actors who’ve done the work and gotten the training to be actors and are ready and willing to audition....nah, this is more just like....a creative challenge!

LOL kinda like how Marvel couldn’t cast Asian actors to play Iron Fist or Dr. Strange, because y’know, that’d be stereotyping them as mystical sages and ninjas. 

And obvsly it would be waaaaaay more offensive and problematic to hire actual Asian actors for these roles that are entirely rooted in Asian stereotypes anyway, no matter who plays them, than like say......tons of white voice actors and creative teams and studios execs making hundreds of millions of dollars off a franchise called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. 

Lol duuuuuh, like dont be stupid, clearly its exploitative to have actual Asian actors profit from IP whose audience appeal and marketability stems entirely from the demand for culturally appropriated and badly represented notions of Asian mysticism and martial arts. Like, that’s just problematic as hell, no, you can’t do that. You gotta like, just have entirely white creative teams build a CGI franchises around talking mutant animals that badly represent notions of Asian mysticism and martial arts to feed audience demand for these things, like, then its okay if they profit off that, its not exploitative then, because you’re not asking Asian actors to demean themselves by playing stereotypes.

I mean, except for all the Asian actors you hire to play the nameless stereotypical ninja henchmen in all of these movies, but ugh, shut up, that’s totally different, they’re just BACKGROUND, its only demeaning if they play stereotypical actual like...CHARACTERS.

Aaaaaannnnnyway. So. Yeah. Like, I give no shits if BUMBLEBEE is the most brilliant film you’ve ever seen, lol, like, I’m still totally comfortable sitting on my ass feeling zero need to confirm or dispute that with actual evidence because did I mention? Fuck BUMBLEBEE, lol, thanks but hard pass.

well most of this has been said but here are some scattered thoughts about veronica mars season 4

Look, I do get it! You have to tell the story you want to tell and you can’t pander to a fanbase because then you get Glee, fans aren’t always right and blah blah creative vision blah blah BUT this was a bad story for no one. It’s not just Logan (and Logan is not just that he’s dead but that he’s dead in such a meaningless way, offscreen and unmourned by any character or by us!!! by me!!! has any cried any cathartic sad tears about this? like not angry tears but real emotion tears? nah). The mystery was pretty bad (miss me forever with the “we’re transitioning into what is foremost a mystery show!!!” buddy you don’t have the range), the old characters had nothing to do (much has been said about the underutilization of Wallace and Weevil and I also have a lot of feelings about Dick tbh), the new characters were like aaalmost interesting (JK Simmons and Kirby HB came closest). The entire Keith story was just a red herring. Veronica started the season further back than we’ve ever seen her and ended up even worse.

The end of this season drives home that Veronica is a character who only exists to be traumatized and that RT thinks that is inherently more interesting (and lbr easier to write if you’re a hack) than her having anything steady or good. All his grandstanding about how he wants a “badass noir PI” and how that can’t happen if she has a ~*bOyFrIeNd and if he’s forced to deal with “that soapy high school stuff” is so embarrassing and insulting. It’s clear that he doesn’t actually want to be writing this show anymore. One of the most obnoxious things is that if he wanted to write a different detective show that starred KB he could have just done that!!! Much of his body of work relies on kind of nudge-wink shit for his audience so just cast her as the lead in a new show and be done with it, it would not have been more hack-y than this was and it would have left all these other poor actors and their characters alone. Very convenient to be annoyed that your creative vision is weighed down by a ship but also capitalizing on your fans’ interest in that ship as much as possible including LITERALLY having them bankroll the initial revival that made this possible in the first place. All the constant bullshit about “marshmallows are the best fans in the world.” Fuck off. 

Even if it did have to be this show and it did have to include Logan dying, like, write that story then you asshole!!! I got this from Rachel (grangerbutstranger here, I think? when she’s here? sorry R) but like, have him die in the first bomb and then solving it is for him, his death matters to the plot, it parallels Lilly, etc. etc. like at least then it’s not a cheap shock. There was so much else that could have mattered this season and just didn’t. The Wallace story--there’s some interesting story to tell there! It’s a real thing to grow up and feel you can’t relate to your friends anymore because they’re doing the adult thing so differently from you, but like, it hurts and it matters more than just fuckin looking at your phone during dinner like an asshole. The Weevil story made some sense if you read the books but assuming everyone did was a weird flex (assuming book knowledge AND word-for-word retreading the Leo ground covered in the books is...something else) and even so was extremely disappointing. I do feel bad for Percy and Francis being touted as like equal stars! when they were in like...half the episodes, at most? They each got ~5 lines? What a waste 

And then like, I don’t think anyone really cares about this aside from me, but Ryan Hansen out here being the main hype man for this show to be in literally one episode, right??? OK he’s a comic relief side character but Dick has also been involved in most of the MAIN plot points in the show and his dad got beheaded (no love lost for Dick Sr. but his death was ultimately a meaningless part of a meaningless and also racist side plot except for I guess it was an additional early trauma for mini-Veronica to get to see it happen) and his best friend got blown to hell and like, no one checked on him I guess?? 

the fucking voicemail is like...so bad. It’s so bad!!! For those to be the last lines we hear from Logan is unbelievable. a) is it weird to want to marry someone because you respect them? like, no, Rob, that’s adult relationships, give me a fucking break. b) oh let me put Veronica on a pedestal for my WELL-DOCUMENTED LEAST FAVORITE THING about her thereby encouraging her to continue to not even try to grow at all (one therapy session after a YEAR before leaving home is not...good). And it’s...not correct that this is better than just breaking them up. A friend suggested Logan should have left her and I would not have really been happy with that either lol but that’s the story they wrote this season tbh! He should have left her! Their fights should have mattered! This like “oh the wedding was the final fan service” like literally no one wanted this. Veronica didn’t want it, I’m not fully convinced Logan wanted it, no one was asking for this slapdash everything’s-fine-now courthouse wedding that very clearly only happened because Logan was immediately going to die. It’s just a way to add “widow” to Veronica’s exciting list of tragedy checkboxes. That’s noir I guess!!! Good writing!!!

idk man I’m genuinely surprised by how angry this has made me and in how many different ways--this is not just a disappointed shipper thing!! I feel insulted honestly. The end message of the season was “your fault for caring,” to Veronica herself and to everyone who was invested in any part of this show because literally none of it was honored at all by this ~revival. It’s not a fun and exciting new horizon to take Veronica out of Neptune while Keith is fine without her because he has a fresh new her and also a nameless faceless girlfriend and the only other remaining main character dead and all her other friends out of the story; it’s a different show, and he should have just made that show and now I deeply hope he doesn’t get to make it or make this one anymore. I cannot believe one of my favorite TV characters is dead and I haven’t cried and I feel nothing. I mean clearly I feel a lot but you know what I mean. I can’t believe I don’t get to feel sad that Logan Echolls died. Fuck that forever.

In my experience there are two schools of thought:

1) People that like Talia and choose to use the older version of canon, where Bruce and Talia were in love and the rape never happened

2) People that hate Talia

As always, I’d prefer not to say which side I come down on, and I won’t answer any personal questions related to Talia. It’s a bit of a hot button topic, and I prefer to avoid conflict. Thank you. Let’s continue.

Here’s the thing, anon-- Damian was created by a writer named Grant Morrison in 2006. Before that, there was a storyline where Bruce and Talia had a baby, and she gave him up for adoption without telling him. Historically, Bruce and Talia’s relationship has been pretty straightforward: they liked each other, and any romantic interactions were consensual. 

Morrison changed that. I can’t say for certain why, but you can read a bit more about my opinion of him over here. In Morrison’s version, Damian was conceived by rape, for eugenic purposes; they were trying to create the ideal heir from al Ghul and Wayne DNA.

Talia drugged Bruce’s drink, and yes, that is absolutely rape. No doubt about it. Rape. It’s disgusting and unnecessary, and it doesn’t really make sense, considering the thirty-five years of material that came before Morrison’s Talia. 

Because of that, it’s a divisive topic. There are a lot of people who argue that since Talia’s actions were out of character for her (and since Morrison went on to make her do other out of character things, like murdering her own son) the rape should be removed from canon. Those folks generally substitute the older storyline where Bruce and Talia were in love. 

That kind of thinking really isn't that uncommon for comic fans because the way comic canon is constructed-- multiple writers with varying skill levels who frequently produce overlapping or contradictory accounts of the same events-- presents us with multiple versions to choose from. A small and unrelated example: in his original version, Tim Drake dropped out of high school before graduation. In the n52, he graduated early. I prefer the older version, so even when I read the n52, I think of Tim as a high school drop out.

There are also canon story lines that I just don’t acknowledge, Battle for the Cowl being the easiest example. I know that the characterization is awful, so I pretend it never happened.

Morrison dramatically changed who Talia is as a character, not just at that specific point, but continually from 2006 to 2013. Since he retired, Talia has been shifting back to her older incarnation (again, see the link from above). You’re going to find a lot of folks who are happy with that, and those are likely to be the same people that edit the rape out of Talia’s history. 

You’re also going to find folks on the other side of the issue-- people that acknowledge the rape and believe that it would be wrong to edit it out of history. Morrison’s Talia, while mischaracterized, has been around for a long time with some very dramatic effects. Damian’s redemption storyline, death, resurrection, and general personality all depend on Talia’s action while Morrison was writing her-- if you choose to ignore all of that, Damian as we know him can’t exist, and he’s been a giant part of the general bat canon for the last eleven years. 

Beyond that, rape and filicide are awful, horrifying crimes, and they both happened within Talia’s canon. They’re the current version. They haven’t been retconned. As a matter of fact, Morrison isn’t the only one circulating that version-- the recent animated movies about Damian explicitly include the rape, and those began in 2014. 

You also made an excellent point when you asked about gender-- male rape victims are treated incredibly poorly in fiction and life, and I think it’s fair to argue that ignoring Bruce’s canonical rape contributes to that. Bruce isn’t the only member of the batfamily with this issue either. Dick was raped by Tarantula in 2002 (he asked her not to touch him, he was in shock and immobile, and she had sex with him anyway), and that writer (Devon Grayson) didn’t even call it rape. Would the rape of either of those men be treated differently if they were women? I don’t know. I can’t really answer a hypothetical. But it’s worth thinking about.

When it comes to Talia, I’d say my experience with general opinion has been about a 50/50 split? That being said, I am very young, and I’ve only been in this game for five years. I can’t tell you how any of this went over in 2006 because I was a ten year old at the time, and I don’t think I know anyone older who could tell me.

As far as writers go... I don’t recall Bruce’s emotional state being addressed in any way. Most of the time, writers don’t directly talk about it. Some of them seem to lean towards the earlier version by framing Bruce and Talia as a love story; however, that doesn’t mean that by omitting the rape, they retcon it. People are raped by their partners or spouses all the time. Saying that Bruce loved Talia doesn’t automatically erase the rape. Implying that Bruce and Talia had consensual sex before or after Damian’s conception doesn’t automatically erase the rape. Frankly it would be very hard to retcon, since there would have to be some kind of statement within the dialogue denying any kind of drugging.

- it's basically a plot for an alola-based movie and the pokemon it's focused on is mimikyu bc i love it so much. the concept is kinda about overcoming your own fears (because when you look under mimikyu it's really terrifying right? so it's like seeing your biggest fears) and it mainly focuses on the main cast's dynamic and also papa kukui feels

2) nameless wip - soulmate au (multichapter)

- pretty self-explanatory BUT it's like your soulmate's initials appear somewhere on your body when you turn 10. ofc it's trustedpartner and those two idiots take FOREVER to realise they're each other's soulmates. there's also hints of jellowshipping bc why not

- this one already has 2/3 chapters posted but in the last chapter that's yet to be written (oops) ash meets mohn and gladion meets goh, chloe and delia. also ash and lillie have a Nice reunion bc i've always loved their dynamic and i simply must include it

- this is prob gonna be posted here instead of ao3 bc it's pretty short but. it's based on this writing prompt i saw where it's like,, write different moments where 'i told you so' is said, so it can be happy, sad, angry etc. again it's trustedpartner

- this one's pretty self-indulgent LOL but it's just the main gang + gladion playing games like super smash bros and mario kart. a lot of cursing going on in there

- this one fully shows ash and gladion's fight about nebby teleporting lillie to gladion and resetting her trauma. there's a lot of shouting and guilt going on in here and it's pretty angsty but there's also an apology and the two end up having a Bonding Moment (and they fall in love because i said so)

- i kid you not this oneshot is 6k+ words and i haven't even reached the wedding part yet.. LOL so it might end up two chapters, or i could slap all 9k words (possibly more) into one chapter like i did with gift you a lovely kiss. i didn't include a lot of the old companions cause i felt like it would be too much to write, but i did include the og gang aka misty, brock and gary!!

- okay so during the necrozma arc rmb when naganadel appeared and *dramatically falls* and the gang go to help, but gladion resists bc he doesn't want to lose sight of lunala and ub black right? so take that but instead of gladion reluctantly following the gang, he goes after lunala alone like an idiot. and then when naganadel is explaining everything to the gang they hear a loud crash, and in the canon anime it was lunala crashing, but instead of lunala, it was gladion and noivern. noivern protected gladion but he still got injured but like an IDIOT gladion still fights with everyone. then when they come back gladion nearly collapses so ash is all like oh hell no and takes care of him. yes they are in love and yes gladion's stupid
