Bruce very much tried not to be hypocritical, he really did. But he’d been admittedly desperate for some way to get home, to get back to his own time and make sure his kids were alright, that they hadn’t died.
So he’d made a deal with the ever-shifting entity, had seen equal desperation in their own crimson eyes and corpse-blue skin. Had ever so gently accepted the sphere oh-so hesitantly handed over to his own hold.
Even with the gloves he could still feel the weak, almost sickly fluttering, as though there was a soft heartbeat. But was that not what he held in his hands? A life, however different than a human, that was still but a child who deserved to live?
He knew he warned his children to not make deals multiple times, but this was one borne of equal urgency. Of a deal hammered out between not a man and creature, but of two fathers desperate to see their children alive.
So he agreed, protection for protection, of equality between the both of them, not for their own sakes, but for the children they were doing all of this for.
"It seems like this thing is the only one that wants to kill me here."
Hello hello!! This is my little creature that I have finished today! I have yet to settle settle on a name for it yet, but I have been calling it The Hound, or just Hound for now!
She is supposed to be an amalgam of Sally, Barnaby and Howdy's parts! (Well, it's more Sally than anything. It's just Sally with some of Barnaby and Howdy's bits and parts stitched onto her!)
It’s not a super extensive build but very pleased that I’ve only spent around $30 on it so far 💞 I need to figure out how to put a plant in the back corner over the pump and look into how to secure the tubing along the driftwood pieces. Everything’s just resting against each other for now lol.
help it's been like. actually honestly i cannot remember ever recreationally reading a nonfiction book. i learned to read in first grade and i remember reading very simple books about like frogs and fish but that was the first year i started reading percy jackson and after that it was like fantasy and fiction all the way down. i have to be forgetting things but for the most part scrounging my brain for all the series ive read besides books for school i honest to god cannot summon a single nonfiction book i've read. im really getting off track here thinking about how many shitty ya novels ive read in my life anyway my point was going to be i started a book called cod: the fish that changed the world by mark kurlansky and i thought it was going to be boring like a textbook but it's actually extremely entertaining and i didn't know what at all to expect bc i don't read nonfiction books. i should read more nonfiction books
Shearing half a sheep seemed a simple way to show a season's growth of wool, but photographer Cary Wolinsky was wrong. The half-shorn sheep tended to lose their balance and topple to wool-ward. It took many tries before merino sheep number 30 “became our hero," Wolinsky said.
