Cass (who canonically lacks a lot of home skills and greatly enjoys eating other people's food) is one of the best cooks. Bruce (canonically a terrible cook who can't even make a sandwich) "does okay"—sure, it's your headcanon. Alfred, the classy British guy, is logically a great cook and "super posh". We can sum up Tim's unimpressive cooking skills just briefly.

But we need an entire section describing your headcanon about how Jason can't cook and needs to stick to "poverty comfort foods", because he comes from a poor background.

I don’t really get the need to make Phoenix (or any dad coded characters) bad at domestic tasks? As if this guy hasn’t been the equivalent of a single dad for ten years, he can’t afford to go out for burgers or noodles for every meal, let this man know how to cook and sew and braid hair because it costs too much to be lazy about those things.

He literally doesn’t make enough money to get his daughter a custom made magicians outfit as she grows, or to live off of frozen burritos. As if he wouldn’t put his whole pussy into raising his daughter right even in some pretty terrible circumstances.

My guy goes to his work as a shitty pianist with nails painted different colors every week and he spends those first few years growing his hair out long enough for her to play with it.

Everyone just sees a cluttered living space and a clearly depressed man and decides that he must suck as a parent as if he wouldn’t do literally anything for her.

Fig and apple pie with pecan-cardamom crust. The figs and the apples were both foraged, which is always fun. Smells super good !

It was supposed to be in a pie tin, but I had 3/4 of a pound of figs rather than the half pound the recipe called for. And then needing to scale the recipe complicated the already confusing situation of reading while dyslexic. So I largely gave up on reading, and this is more inspired by the recipe than anything else, but here it is nonetheless: Fig, Apple, and Walnut Tarts. Anyway, it ended up too big to fit in a pie tin, hence the cobbler dish.
