I have found a beautiful perfect humble rock specimen that is light yellow with a weird dark yellowy brown lining, somewhat resembling a chunk of smoked gouda cheese... effervescent
#I am still very into trash collecting at the moment and even went out and got one of those grabby sticks for cheap and a little#bucket I can carry around and put trash in. so I am going on walks in nature a bit more (not really to enjoy nature but more to play the#very fun Real Life Hidden Object Point And Click Game that is 'hunt for bottle caps and cans' .. but eh.. whatever gets me out of the#house lol).. anyway.. some nature places near water will have cool rocks#Which I know you're not supposed to take them and I MOSTLY dont.. but every once in a while it's like... when else will I ever find a#gouda rock... I have cleaned up 4 buckets of trash today.. I have helped the environment.. mayhaps.. i could take a One Single Rocke as a#treate... ANYWAY. but yeah. I don't know the names of rocks but there's a rock that's a matte muted marigold yellow sort of#color and I call them 'cheese rock'. I'm pretty sure this one is of the 'cheese rock' species but it just has weird brown coloration#like maybe it got stained or something on one side of it. Most of the other cheese rocks have no markings. though sometimes there will be a#auburn reddish sort of hue on a corner or something.. hrmm.. curious. I also got a Beginner's Hobby rock tumbler and some supplies#so I might try polishing some of the rocks from my enormous rock collection. even though they're all street rocks I picked up from sidewalk#and stuff. I saw a video where someone put random gravel and stuff in a rock tumbler and none of them were Stunning Gems or whatver#but some still turned out cool enough that I would be pleased with the result... OUgh.. I want to post more I need to like do costumes and#sculptures and stuff and be Active On Social Media and think about my Future and Career and how it always benefits artists to keep an#active social media or etc. but I just feel so tired and bad lately. I think the summer heat waves have really exhausted me. I also have#been trying to make new friends + on a weird schedule so I've been socializing and also watching media too much. I notice I always start#to feel this kind of unsettled stress of not making any forward progress in my life if I do that for too long. like 'Okay this week I've#done nothing but meet up with two friends & watch like 10 episodes of tv and only worked on a few projects on the side.. this is HORRIBLE!'#(ppl who follow me here that I talk to on discord: this isn't about you! Im specifically just referencing being tired of introductory talks#with a new round of random strangers during my Friend Hunt. Just clarifying so it couldn't be misinterpreted as vaguepost implying that I'm#secretly bothered by talking to you or etc. lol.. anyway) . Which I know to MOST people 'I talked to a lot of friends and watched some cool#stuff!' sounds like a GOOD relaxing time but.. to me it is not ghhj.. Those are 'external' focuses on things outside myself which bothers#me if not moderated. Like.. i MUST retreat internally to work on my worldbuilding and my own thoughts and etc. at very regular intervals or#it will really start to bear on me too much. Brain Mandated Hermit Isolation lol. Just being too detached from my world and stuff for#too long feels increasingly bad. PLUS. every day I don't make tangible progress towards my goals is a day wasted that I could have been#investing in my future by working on novels/games/sculptures/actual career relevant stuff. Not even in a Capitalism way i just genuinely#enjoy Completing Tasks & feel miserable if I don't for too long. EVEN the media I'm watching I turn into A Task since I rank in a detailed#google doc list after viewing lol.. Like EW movie too boring on it's own. NEED to turn it into something I can categorize and analyze ghghj#LOVE to make things more complicated than they need to be. like YAAAY organizational tasks! yaay meticulous sorting!! BOO ''mindless fun''!

hi my love! do you have any writing tips? and words of encouragement when fics flop :(
hi darling <3 i feel like i always suck at giving writing tips but i'll try my very best for you ok. i hope some of these help! also very honored you'd even ask me 🤎
first and foremost: don't compare your writing to anyone else. everyone writes different, everyone has a certain style, a niche. if you're worried you don't have a 'style' don't, because you do. everyone does. it's not something you can make yourself have or take from others, it comes naturally with how your brain works and how it curates words and prose and scenes. that's why no book, no writing, is ever the same even if it's the same source material. it's a beautiful thing so don't stress about trying to make your writing sound or 'read' like other writers. it'll only ruin the enjoyment of how you write!
if you want to write more detailed just remember that not everything in a scene needs to be put down. the more you give the reader room to fill in the blanks and set the scene themselves the better experience for them (at least that's the case for my brain, others may feel different, but doing it this way makes me feel like i'm not adding too much detail or being repetitive). but visualizing, setting the scene for yourself through music or daydreaming is another great tip to write more detailed.
when it comes to smut i am a huge stan of you don't have to say the anatomically correct part they're using (like the p words or c word), and describing what it feels like to have that part touched, grazed, etc is really great. i struggle with fear of repeating myself so i try to find creative ways to describe body parts without actually calling them like flowery/nouns/different synonyms. i hope that made sense lmao.
don't worry about edits or making everything flow completely well in the first take. i highly rec everyone editing their own work and reading it back to themselves, yes it's tiring but it helps you find flow mistakes, add more detail, take something out that you thought fit in the moment but doesn't really. that's why i get everything out the first get go in a kind of fever dream manner and then when i go back to edit it then i buff out everything, add more, take away something, add more details that will make a scene pop off more.
now for the encouragement when it comes to flops: it's going to happen. there's no secret to making something do amazing or something failing. there really isn't and someone who says there is has just had a few lucky posts. because having a big following means nothing, writing a long fic, a short one, only using small font, being super aesthetic, really means nothing. i've seen writers with the most amazing aesthetic and beautiful prose with 100 followers write something and get 2k notes and then get 90 notes on their next post. same with someone who doesn't have a big aesthetic but a big following and writes short fics get 100 notes on their last ten posts but then that eleventh post randomly gets 1k. like it's really just up in the air on here if something is going to do good or not, unfortunately. so that's why i don't let it get to me when something i post gets 100 notes or 1k because i'm happy with both, less, or more. i don't expect anything anymore because that only leads to disappointment and i'm here to write and to have fun.
that's not to say i don't rec curating your own little community on here. make friends, block ppl with bad vibes, join discords of supportive friends. talk to writers who encourage and understand your feelings and discourse and who keep you going, give you inspo, etc etc. if only my friends ever rbed and read my stuff and there was only 10 of them? i'd say hell yeah and that'd encourage me to write more. having a good space of friends and community is amazing and can do a lot to fight off the writer scaries and the feelings of obsessing over numbers and success.
now this is just something i do but it always works for me; i post something and then force myself not to look at it for a day or two. i post it and move on to the next thing i want to work on. i do not dwell on how it's doing. i may q up some rbs for it but i don't even look at the notes when i do that. i deliberately never look at it because yes while it matters in the sense that we love encouragement, we love seeing people love something we spent hours on, we wrote this for ourselves but hello we want that validation too and that's okay, but like i said above and i'm going to say again notes mean nothing in regards to talent. these notes are not simon cowell judging you on your performance. so when i finally do go back to rb comments and reply to things, or if i just want to look at how it did, and the number is low i'm just like ok shrug at least those 20 people enjoyed it and that's better than 0. and if no one commented or rbed yeah that sucks and is disheartening but i can either dwell and be sad on it or i can continue to do what i love and write more. why let the annoying little brats on here who refuse to show their love on a work they read get you down? because there's a dozen of them out there and they're not going away. and you may have made someone's day for this little fic even if they didn't say something about it. it does suck that content creators on here don't get the rbs and comments and credit they deserve, and unfortunately if you want to keep doing what you love you gotta work around it and remind yourself why you're creating, continue to feel that joy. it's hard, believe me. but don't let your creativity be repressed because of it, because you'd be doing a disservice to yourself!
i'll say it again though: a high note count / following doesn't mean the fic is good or bad, neither does low notes / no following. no one's talent is ever in question here. we are here to write, have fun, fill the void of the rl scaries.

In the Teen Wolf fandom, it seems like peeps only love the big-names, the ones who regularly return to post content versus people who joined in the last few years.
As someone who has been here a while, what's your take on this? Should new people stop trying? Because that's what I'm feeling.
Hey friend!
I just wanna say, before I really get to my answer, I'm kind of touched that you see me having been around for a while!! I'm definitely not what I'd consider a big-name and I know my blog is mostly just my little corner full of stuff I curate with my own creations or reblogs of other people's but you see me 😊 I'm also for sure not tapped into the fandom itself like some folks I follow. I just doot my snoot in my little archive of teen wolf shenanigans and try to maintain friendships with anyone who wants to interact with me (via asks, messages, or tags, good golly I wanna hug anyone who interacts in tags lol and I for sure recognize when ppl come back).
I typed a way longer response that you may not have wanted, all to just say I would hate to see new people stop trying!! I adore that teen wolf is still pulling people despite it being off air and potentially not getting more movies (whether or not that's what most people want). I think fandoms need fresh air continually too. No two people will experience the show or content 100% the same way and have every single response be the same. Just with the two cakes mindset of creation, there are multiple cakes for how we all digest the show and they're all delicious. I carved out my own little corner here because I wanted organization for myself, and I create largely for myself. Any interaction I get, I fucking adore, I cannot impress that enough lol. I just never really expect it bc I know I do my own thing here with stuff like Multiamory May moodboards. Rarepairs and polyamory and trans headcanons just aren't everyone's cup of tea and I stopped trying to be recognized for what I "target" when I know my quality isn't 100% and I'm just vibing to my own weirdness instead of being super put together about it. I've definitely flickered in and out of the fandom when it comes to engagement too - like how last year (or year before? idk, time is confusing) I was running regular events but currently I just don't have the energy/passion in the same way.
If you really want to be seen more, esp if you make your own posts/content, utilize tags, even if you're hella lazy with it like me. I try to always use #twedit no matter what, in addition to #twfemslash and #twrarepair when applicable. Those go on the radar of people who fill the queues of some "big" blogs that do a bunch of reblogging just to have continual content out there. I also feel like I got a foot in via a couple of my discord servers, mainly Teen Wolf Legacy, and making a couple too (one for Scott shipping, one for teen wolf femslash; others i know of included pecific Derek-positive ones, a Stiles shipping one). That absolutely increased my reach, because I could share my stuff with people who specifically wanted to get pinged for, say Allison/Stiles content as an example. Idk that my following blew up or anything, I'm still a relatively small teen wolf blog. But it did make it easier to grow into my niche here. It also made me realize how big the fandom is. Some might only watch for or engage with a particular ship or character, while others like me do so for pretty much anyone.
This was still lengthy, I'm sorry. You caught me after work when my brain is like solely focused on decompression via fixation and tumblr is often a source for that. Please don't be discouraged from trying, and if you feel comfortable coming directly to me I could possibly point you in the direction of some other teen wolf blogs with similar interests! Big-names are hella daunting and it still blows my mind some of the ones I always sort of looked up to also just have some nerd behind them that I can talk to (even if I feel like im annoying them lmao). Feel free to talk with me more either on or off anon too, I'm pretty much always here to some extent. I love new people so fucking much, I'm just not engaged enough to always see you 💜💜💜💜

Thinking about completely restarting my account or just permanently moving to my alt and just doing the requests there. I literally almost have the same amount of posts as I do followers and it's overwhelming.
I could restart so easilyyyyyy! It's so tempting. And don't get me wrong when I say "restart" I don't mean deleting this account. Not that I hadn't thought about that before either with the way some people behave online.
Though I know either way that I'll have to update my DNI and make it clearer bc I've like... been triggered quite a few times this week alone? If you're going to follow me and still disrespect me that's fine, but triggering me? Ohhhh nooo, no, no, no, no, no, I won't put up with that shit.
=
Plus ppl have been like lowkey kinda just bothering me w/ the way they act??? Like I get when you make content other people like and become popular for that you can fall victim to parasocial relationships or idolization but I find that so dumb. Like, I'm a person, not some celebrity? Hello?? So to everyone who's been "afraid to talk to me" or suddenly pop up in my dms with no prompt (and have interacted with me less than 3 times in any setting) + have no interest in talking to me past the point of like sending those spam chainmail things that are all like "send this to [#] of people who made you happy this month" can you like....stop?
It's honestly really discouraging to think that someone from the fandom is messaging me just to give me some spam.
=
It'd be different if someone came into my dms and was all like: "Hey I really like your work/I find your work to be inspiring/It makes me really happy whenever you post about [character] bc I love them sm and the way you write them is comforting/whatever etc!" That actually starts a conversation, gives me feedback on my work, and overall creates more mutuals for me to just interact with.
Tagging me in those like "create your character" threads bugs me too bc I've already told people NOT to tag me in those and I guess some people missed that memo? I mean I know a lot of you interact that way for like fun, but I'm just not into that. You can talk to me in the comments or you can yell at me in the dms. Reblogging is for starting fights and sharing other people's art/writings/edits/articles/videos.
And don't come in here being all like "well I like your stuff all the time isn't that enough??" like that only tells me you bookmarked my work. That doesn't tell me that you actually enjoyed the piece & aren't just looking to make fun of me on some secret discord group chat or something. How do I know you even read what I wrote if you're in here just liking several of my posts and then never interact with my blog again?
=
And god forbid someone not want to interact with me bc of my age, WHY ARE YOU EVEN FOLLOWING ME THEN??? I get it, I must be a dinosaur to some of you. Respect your own DNI! Or even better yet, they don't agree with the people I'm friends with, like I have any affect one what they do with their time.
Give me back my anons that would just send in asks just to say hello or check up on me. This isn't fun anymore. I feel like every time I've talked about this stuff before it's gone totally under the radar.
'People don't care about what you think outside of your fandom writings blah blah blah.' I have the right to be sensitive here. I have the right to feel how I do. If you guys don't give a damn about me, my opinions, and my feelings then just unfollow me right now bc I honestly don't need that in my life.

how many ppl are in your discord server and is it for moots or writers or anyone?
Oh, well I haven't actually made the server yet! I wanted to see if anyone would be interested before I made a server and had nobody who wanted to join.
But it would be really, REALLY small! Probably... 3-5 people to start?
It isn't only for mutuals, but I would like to keep it to mutuals, followers, people who have interacted with me or my blog before, or people who know my followers/mutuals. I just feel like that would be a safer place for everyone. It would be 18+ only.
Basically, I just know some people on here (like me) don't interact with others as much as they'd like and are either shy or intimidated by the existing discord servers. It wouldn't be for a specific fandom, or just writers, or anything. Just somewhere for a couple of people to have a supportive little social group, to talk about writing or fandom or games or pets or life or whatever, would be the goal. Somewhere where it feels like you actually get to know the people in the server and make friends, and not just yell into a group of half-strangers? Somewhere where it doesn't feel like "Kai's" server, but a little place that belongs to everyone 💕

Erm mer gerd!!! 🌈💅🔥✨🕺💅✨🔥🌈
Totally not me reconfiguring my whole ass tumblr, lmao-
Okay, so like, hey, it's Toxicc! I'm a traditional and digital artist (mostly digital, i use traditional stuff i make as ref for digital stuff) and I'm involved in a LOT of fandoms (not like big stuff, but i am in the fandoms and plan on staying unless stated otherwise)
The following Fandoms i enjoy a Lot (because they bring me so much comfort) Are:
Welcome Home (like bestie, Clown!1!1 you did something right- btw #1 favorite fandom to me)
Genshin Impact (it's so unhinged like me lmaosoaoa i love unhinged!)
Warrior cats (battle cats are so silly!1!1!1 also unhinged to some extent, not as unhinged as Genshin and Welcome Home)
Helluva Boss & Hazbin Hotel (Still involved and enjoying these fandoms, it's just that sometimes ppl like to shove bad images on Viv which sucks)
Dead Island (1, Riptide, but mostly Dead island 2)
And uhhh there's so much more but it's walking away as we speak (well as i speak, you're just reading! Haha!)
I have a place where you can find more of me if Tumblr isn't enough for you! I don't know if this is a meet the artist/author kinda post I'm making right now, but it's there! I do Not have a Discord yet, so chatting in a Discord server is not possible for me yet!
The place where you can find me is on Sketchersunited.org by the user ToxiccTheArtist! Feel free to make a chat if you have an account or made an account, I'm open to talking about stuff if you'd like!
Also, on here you may see me shoving art where i see fit, and not only that, but i also have some interesting stuff to offer! I have Original Characters! (Who doesn't?) You'll find more about them on sketchers united as i try to post about them often. I'm currently working on a Series that i plan to make into an indie animated series when i start animating with the proper stuff for it.
You will also see me making AUs or silly ideas in general regarding my favorite fandoms! (Atm, I'm working on a Welcome Home AU, just writing down ideas as i Go, no worries, i won't use these ideas for anything else, just the AU! So stay tuned for that via here if I'm active or by contacting my Sketchers United account as mentioned above! I also forgot to mention that i don't have a Tiktok, I'm just getting settled with other platforms as i go, don't worry!)
Sooo yeah, just your ordinary artist, nothing much than that for now. If you're interested as to what I'll make, feel free to check back every now and then (also coding a blog page is weird on mobile Lmaoaoa-).
I hope you all have an amazing rest of your days!

Shipping Info for Multimuses!
Answer the following for your muse so people know how shipping works on your blog.
Repost DO NOT reblog!
WHAT IS YOUR OTP FOR YOUR CHARACTER?:
In no particular order:
Eusine/Morty Drayden/Drake Dawn/Barry Rose/Juan
WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO WRITE WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING?:
// I think it's easier to ask what I won't do for shipping.
My straight up "no's" are incest and any adult/minor ships, this isn't up for discussion.
On the subject of aging up characters: it depends on the muse and who's the mun behind it. Unfortunately, I've seen way too much discourse about it in the pokerpc which has left me feeling iffy about it, even if 9/10 times it is harmless (and I'm cool with it in other fandoms I'm in). It's just in the Pokerpc that I'm wary of it. I get it is a touchy subject to some ppl, especially to those who love jumping the gun and completely ignore what ppl are actually writing. But literally??? Everyone writes a form of post-series events verses/plot, and guess what? In my book, that counts as aging up a character, ppl just do it naturally. I've explained my stance on it, in my muses about docs. So, I'll keep it brief here. Just ask me if I'm cool with it or not, if something isn't clear.
Which leaves for last, any NOTPs (Falkner/Morty) I may have around.
HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?:
// I have no problem at all with age gaps between adult muses, in fact I quite like it, it is one of my favorite ship tropes! Things however get muddier, if we are talking about like teens-soon to turn adults (like those 17 y/o paired up with a 19 years old). While I don't see too much of a problem there, I'd rather keep this as something that's only really mentioned for HC/character development reasons.
ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?:
// Yes. Because I'm looking for chemistry between our muses, and we should bounce well as writing partners as well. I want our muses interactions to feel natural, and not like we are having to alter everything on them just to force a thread. With that said, I've mellowed out a lot, and it shouldn't take too much to convince me to ship with someone.
HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NS/FW?:
// Anything in the slightest suggestive, quickly gets tagged and put under read more around here. For smut interactions/threads, I have a full on blog dedicated just to that. With that said, I’ve been preferring to write NSFW on my Discord. I feel like it’s easier to write there in many aspects.
WHO ARE OTHER THE CHARACTERS YOU SHIP YOUR CHARACTER WITH?:
// Lance/Morty, Riley/Morty, Brawly/Morty, Wallace/Morty, Ingo/Morty, Sabrina/Morty, Jasmine/Morty, Whitney/Morty, Drake/Drasna, Drake/Joseph Stone, Rowan/Oak, Juan/Wallace, Brendan/May.
DOES ONE HAVE TO ASK TO SHIP WITH YOU?:
// Yes, obviously. I don’t do instant shipping, even for those I'm already pretty biased to, I really need that plotting and interactions/threads to go alongside it.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU LIKE TO SHIP?:
// Depends on the muse you’re asking. Overall, I’d say I’m always down for discussing a new ship. Although, there are a handful of muses, that I just can’t feel a ship for rn (see: Brendan, Matsuba and Rowan).
ARE YOU SHIP OBSESSED OR SHIP MORE-OR-LESS?:
// I try not to obsesses b U T, it happens sometimes. I won’t stand here and pretend like that wouldn’t happen.
ARE YOU MULTISHIP?:
// Yes! All my muses here are multiship!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SHIP IN YOUR CURRENT FANDOM?:
// I'll forever have a soft spot for Dawn/Barry and Eusine/Morty <3
FINALLY, HOW DOES ONE SHIP WITH YOU?:
// We sit & talk & write... Then hope for the best! No, seriously just HMU for shipping! I love plotting stuff!

I've never really written for an audience before but I'm not really worried about that and I know what type of content i want to make but I always see groups of writers in fan communities who are all mutuals and friends and it looks like fun but I'm not even sure how to go meet others without it being weird or annoying them in their ask box or just how to integrate into the communities in general.
please go to sleep though if youre tired you really dont have to answer now its not urgent :)
i'm sorry i went to work at 6.30am, and then forgot i had an ask to answer until now aksjdhjdkfhsdjf
ok that makes sense, at least you know what you wanna do that's a start! if you have a fandom or fandoms you're definitely gonna be writing in there's probably discord groups because of fests/etc for that fandom/ship that you might be able to join and use to get know ppl and make friends.
i get that it's tough to meet ppl around here, or everywhere really, but imo i dont think you're weird or annoying if u send messages to ppl you're interested in getting to know. for the most part ppl will be kind in return and be excited to meet someone new that has the same interest they have. (keep in mind some ppl might not really reply, but u get the bad with the good and keep going)
i've also made friends just....by reading fics and commenting on them, and then the writer replying and then a back and forth convo AND FRIENDSHIP. same with someone replying on my fics, bla bla bla, FRIENDSHIP.
basically there isn't exactly a right way to go about it, just join the community through tumblr, send ppl you're interested messages, reblog stuff and comment in the tags, comment on fics, get to know ppl and let ppl get to know you. write your fics and share them, the friends will come.
if you wanna come out of hiding i can introduce you to some ppl if we have fandoms in common. or you can tell me your fandoms and i can tell you which ppl you can follow/talk to...idk lol i just realized i've been rambling for too long SORRY.
hope this helps???? and again this reply is far too late but hopefully you'll see it? pls feel free to come talk more ^^

Helpppp I love your confidence with approaching ppl to become moots 😭😭😭😭 I wish I had that confidence lol, any advice on approaching ppl ? <3
aw you're so sweet ty! i'm actually not that confident and barely interact with the mutuals i get and kind of just collect them which makes me super sad but i'm not confident enough to do anything about it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
but i've also been here for a short while now and have some tips!
join groups! i found my first and dearest mutuals (who i ACTUALLY talk to) after joining my first discord server. we've got a few mutual interests (some that we've gotten into together) and we can get each other into stuff. honestly, tumblr isn't my favorite messaging platform and i prefer discord a lot, which is why you won't see a lot of interactions on here from me. i have a ton of mutuals now from making writing and rp blogs and finding spaces where others did the same- my ayaka blog made me mutuals with a ton of big genshin people, and joining interwoven fates did that for a ton of smaller genshin people that add just as much to my dash and daily interactions
this kind of goes with #1, but pay attention to events! i joined the aforementioned first discord server because of an event, and i've gotten to know quite a few people from either joining or following genshin extreme bias games. I've joined fanfiction and collaboration events hosted by blogs that are larger than mine, giving my work publicity and also giving me an opportunity to talk to other participants and the host as well as some talking points to use
interact with people! i know this is kind of useless and vague, but it is really easy to just send someone an ask off anon asking if they wanted to talk about something or contributing to something they're talking about. make sure to ALWAYS have at least three different talking points to use. they can be coherent with each other or not, but you need backup plans in case your conversations hit a dead end. however, the talking point strategy applies much better on discord and in pms than on asks. still, make sure to have backup plans. i recommend that if someone continually interacts with your posts or work, go talk to them! i remember the first person to send me interactions on my writing blog- he sent an ask off anon and i went to clarify with him and now we're super close! to go with this, it's generally easier to get people like that to go with you into groups. that way, you're not alone, and they can help you get more acquainted with a larger circle if you're not confident in your own interaction skills. i know @unkownknowledge, who i'm speaking about, mentions a lot that he's happy to help others who are intimidated about speaking to mutuals, and i am as well.
find multiple avenues! i created my sideblogs for fun, but they've become great ways to meet people. sideblogs are just more roads into more fandoms, so i highly recommend making some exclusively for some interests to get a concentrated topic in the people that follow you. to go with that, always make sure to properly tag your content so people will actually see it, even if it's a reblog. blog organization looks really professional too, although it doesn't really matter if you use it or if you tag reblogs as reblogs so it looks like you do. it's a neat trick and i don't think anyone really notices it, because it becomes a subconscious thing.
be yourself, be patient, and have fun! i know i said a lot of this with an undertone of "be super strategic and use all your angles and manipulate people into seeing and caring about you" but, in the end, what helped me most was finding what parts of myself were truest and amplifying those. be genuine and be yourself, and it'll be genuinely less tiring to talk to people. this is tumblr, where it's incredibly easy to find when someone's being fake because we're all insane and ridiculous here. please remember not to take things here too seriously. we're all just clowns in different circuses. the worst that can happen to you is that someone will politely reject you, delete your ask, or impolitely reject you. polite rejections will generally assure you that it's not your fault and they have a reason for doing what they do. deleting your ask means that you can let go of that person. don't worry too much about them, but i generally assume if they're answering asks regularly about their posts in a timely manner, about three days of them responding to proveably recent asks and ignoring yours generally signifies for me that they deleted it. in this scenario, you should forget about them. they don't matter that much, and you'll be okay without them seeing your url once ever and doing nothing, i promise. i'll help comfort/distract you, if you want. if they impolitely reject you, tell me and i'll take care of you darling don't worry about that. if you don't have many mutuals yet, you won't have much of a support system on this app. but that's what i'm here for! i'm going to help you in any way i can. this whole thing is solely for the purpose of having fun, so please keep everything lighthearted and don't worry too much about a lot.
ask literally everyone if they want to be mutuals. this is less a tip and more of a way for me to offer to you my mutualship because i genuinely like you. let's be friends, anon! i'd love to know more about you
