Does Black Raisin ever try to confront Healer about Plain Yogurt’s odd behavior? Since she doesn’t trust him and he doesn’t like her and both of them are keeping the peace only for Healer’s sake.

"Healer, can I speak with you for a moment?"

Healer turns his head towards the sound of Black Raisin's voice with a smile, his footsteps coming to a stop. He opens his mouth to reply as he hears Plain Yogurt's footsteps stop beside him, only to be cut off when Black Raisin's firmly adds, "Alone."

There's a shuffle of dirt from where Plain Yogurt stands, but Healer takes this request in stride, his gentle smile unwavering. "Of course." He turns his head to where he assumes Plain Yogurt to be. "I'll be right back. You can go ahead, if you want."

Plain Yogurt lets out a flat hum of acknowledgement and makes no audible move. Healer decides not to dwell on that, focusing on the guiding caw of Black Raisin's raisin crow and her retreating footsteps as he steadily follows her inside one of the other tents for privacy.

Healer hears the flap slip close behind him as Black Raisin exhales heavily, the swish of her cloak telling him she was turning to face him. Despite her reluctance, she gets right to the point. "Are you sure you can't reconsider letting him stay here?"

Healer's smile fades slightly as he adjusts his grip on his staff, and there is the smallest hint of exasperation in his tone when he replies, "You're bringing this up again?"

"Yes, because I still have my concerns." Black Raisin presses. "Why is he still here in the first place? We already have enough mouths to feed, and he must have somewhere to go back to."

"Well, I'm sure he does," Healer says mildly, "but if he wants to stay, why should we shun him? It may be another mouth to feed, but it's also another pair of hands to help."

Black Raisin sighs heavily. "Don't you find it suspicious?" She asks, somewhat pleading. "What could an outlander have to gain from staying with us? We have nothing to offer him!"

"Nothing but companionship, perhaps." Healer suggests, allowing himself another small smile. "Sometimes, that is enough for a Cookie."

"That's what worries me." Black Raisin mumbles, more to herself than Healer, but he hears it anyway. She pauses, then groans, raising her voice again. "You can't see the way he looks at things sometimes, Healer! At me. At you. He grins like he's won the prize draw, all smug and cunning."

"Which may be aggravating, but is not inherently malicious." Healer reasons lightly, inclining his head towards Black Raisin. "I must admit, you can be very fun to tease sometimes. I'm sure he doesn't mean any harm by it."

"You don't get it!" Black Raisin's voice grows harsher with frustration, gaining a desperate edge, and Healer's attempt at playfulness evaporates. Her voice plummets to something low, hushed. "He looks like a monster sometimes, Healer, I swear it. I keep seeing fangs, or claws, or eyes where they shouldn't be, for just a split second. And he insists on spending so much time with you - you're valuable to the village, you know? More than that, we- I care about you. Of course his presence worries me."

Healer sucks in a slow, sluggish breath, then sighs. He taps his way towards her, reaching his free hand out to rest gently on her shoulder, adjusting his grip to be more firm once he's found it.

"I appreciate the concern, Black Raisin, but I... think it may be misplaced. Plain Yogurt has been staying with us for quite a while now, hasn't he? And there hasn't been a single incident!" Healer reassures, using his own voice as a soothing balm. "You are a reliable protector, but you shouldn't allow your cautiousness to morph into paranoia. Closing your heart will do you very little good."

Black Raisin is silent for a moment.

"You trust me, don't you?" Healer continues, a little firmer in the hopes to bridge this gap. "I understand you don't trust him, but at least trust my judgement. Please."

Black Raisin is silent for a moment longer. Then she lets out a shuddering exhale, and Healer feels her shoulder slump under his hand. "...I'll do my best."

I loved your post about Gale falling for someone from this world! It's been in the forefront of my mind since reading it! I'd love to hear more about your thoughts on this, if you have any new ones.

If it were me, personally, I think we'd get on very well as friends, at the very least. Talking, asking each other questions, taking the opportunity to FINALLY be able to speak freely without interruption, probably long into the next morning.

But I still struggle with thinking he'd ever be interested. Not because I think I'm ugly (I do, but that's besides the point cuz appearances don't matter to him), but because of my general personality. I've been told that I look and sound mean and often speak without thinking. I've also been known to prattle on about things nobody cares about (the various stages of decomposition and outer space being only a few of my favorite topics).

Ah yeah, looking through the tag isn't a great sample of what I was commenting on, because it's more an ongoing thing the past few months.

Essentially, keepblr has gotten a recent influx of people, which as always, means an adjustment period. This one is just taking its sweet time to work out, which is going a little rougher because some keefe/fitz and love triangle drama has started to seep into the fandom along with it. it's exacerbated in part by confession blogs and unraveled's existence

There's just been consistent things popping up like clockwork every time it feels like we get past another. There's ongoing keefe/fitz arguments, sokeefe/sophitz arguments, keefe taking over the narrative, some spamming, disagreement about ship names (which is quite ridiculous in my opinion. so much so im not even gonna bother anymore), a few convos about race here and there, etc.

Just an overall trend towards negativity that's been going on for a while. And at first its like yeah, bumps in the road, it happens. but it's been long enough i'm a little like. are we seriously still on this. we are NOT letting this be our new normal this SUCKS. you know?

the image will be clear in my head for less than a second, but for the rest of the time, the second image is how it looks in my head.

it's the same for voices. if i hear clips of the VA/reg actor speaking then i'll be able to hear them very vaguely at the back of my head when reading. this is only really frustrating when a fic keeps pointing out characters having different accents and i cant keep it up. Either everyone sound like their from New Jersey or they sound like they're from the UK (ik im generalizing but *shrug* i dunno specific accents), or in my original accent (which is distinctly No Sabo Kid Spanglish.)

I would say "I miss feeling attractive" but I've never felt attractive a day of my life. I really just miss feeling like I could trust my own body and brain to function at any level at all.

The people who have sought me out as a romantic or sexual partner, to the very last of them, have done so with the hope of using me as a band-aid for personal issues. They've all wanted to feel wanted, loved, cared for, have wanted to have their physical and emotional needs met in some capacity that isn't happening in that moment of their lives. Often this is to their own detriment, because my aro ass sees sex as a hobby activity to engage with for fun with friends or other people I can trust and be safe with, and the people who pursue me want it to "mean" something romantic -- and even when they deny that, they routinely prove it with both word and deed. It's kinda fucked that I know for a fact that I can't trust anyone who acts like I'm attractive, regardless of whether or not they genuinely do, because I know what comes next: weird attempts at manipulation.

Everyone -- every single person -- who's ever propositioned me or lusted after me has basically been like "I want you to do XYZ to me and maybe we have a relationship after that jk! unless! but jk! Unless!" with zero consideration for anything I actually might want or feel. Even the people I'm currently fucking, if I'm being honest. I'm a receptacle where they want to dump their fantasies and insecurities in order to get love and sex in return, and I get to feel like I'm straight up being used for indirect self-sabotage and self-harm (and sometimes it's not even indirect!)

And it, uh, Fucking Sucks. I'm sick of it.

It's not even just the occasional people who want to fuck, honestly. I feel like I'm treated like a free therapy and emotional dumping space for literally anyone, even family a ton of my friends, because I have The Audacity to speak openly about my emotions once in front of them. (To quote directly from Ryze's lore: "Magic wants to be used," said the sorcerer. "It is all around us, emanating from the first fragments of creation. It wants to be wielded. And that is the true challenge on the path we both walk. When you realize what the magic wants, how eager it is... Well, then the difficulty isn't how to begin wielding it. It's knowing when to stop.")

It certainly explains why Hextech went so wrong, and it makes sense given the type of world Runeterra is, but it feels... Almost too straightforward? (That said, I will accept it an answer to the "Hextech dilemma" since it does make sense and adheres to the Lore.)

i mean i suppose that makes sense. the idea of magic and the arcane wanting to used is interesting (esp as it implies more heavily that the Arcane can and does possess a will). it would give a bit more insight into the arcane's behavior and the way it conducts itself through Viktor, as well as adding a lot of possibilities as to why it wants to be used.

however i still think the idea that magic inherently corrupts and that hextech is inherently evil is. lame as hell and a cop out. Magic always seemed to be more of a neutral force, where in how it's used depends on it's maker and master. A hammer is as much a tool of creation as it is a tool of destruction. Hextech are tools, ones that always had duel natures. It's explosive and volatile but it's a great power source. The Atlas gaunlets were meant to aid miners but were used instead for violence. The Mercury Hammer was something meant to keep peace but it killed a child. All of these things depended on Hextech's wielder, not hextech itself.

ad the idea that "oh magic is just naturally corrupting and evil!!" or even "there's good pure magic and then there's evil corrupting magic" is like. thats so boring. that's so shallow and one note and completely undermines all the nuance the show works so hard to dive into. The idea of it being overused and creating the anomaly and all that shit can work (could have been a great metaphor for captialist greed and over-consumption of resources), but Hextech has barely been around for a decade and only has one major arcane powered structure. the game lore's amount of use and the braken stuff? yes easily it could work. but arcane never made mention of the Braken and again Hextech has barely been around so it just feels. i dont think unearned is the right word but i cant think of another one. corruption arcs when presented with power are and/or power you were never meant to wield one thing but something that inherently corrupts despite never implied to be anything other than neutral because "it just does" is lame. thats lame and boring and completely out of left field for this show.

also It'd be one thing if the Hexcore and Viktor's "magic" WAS Void/void based, which is what I and a lot of people thought was going to happen pre-s2. but like. while it has some visual similarities to Void (the swirling structures) it's clearly based entirely in the Arcane and VERY much celestial in both appearance and nature. There isn't even a mention of the Void at all, instead they talk about Wild Magic. Nor does it reflect the Void's inherent nature of "Nothingness" or "unreality". For Viktor, it was all about creating something new, while Void seems to exist to consume magic and eradicate all around it. His magic isn't entirely off from Void traits but it's nature seems to lie with Celestial magic, which seems to be the opposite of Void (basing that mostly on the creation vs destruction thing
