I don't know where my head was at when I ranked this the worst song on the album. Clearly, I was wrong. This song was a pleasant companion during the autumn months, and I can't wait to see what else they come out with.

3 - Chaconne - ENHYPEN

Do you know what a chaconne is? That's not a rhetorical question btw. No shade either, I'm just curious. For those who don't know, a chaconne is a rhythmical and harmonic motif over a pronounced bass-line. That's my leftover understanding from music classes taken a lifetime ago. According to google, a chaconne is also "a slow, solemn dance in 3/4 time, of Spanish or Moorish origin, similar to the passacaglia." For a non-k-pop example, I recommend Hilary's rendition of Bach's chaconne (more leftover knowledge from a lifetime ago).

Anyway, this likely isn't important context. The use of "chaconne" in the song probably has more to do with how it sounds in the song, than what it means. In any case, Enhypen earned a gold star from me with this pantydropper anthem.

2 - Criminal Love - ENHYPEN

I'm not sure how many of you were here when Heartbeat and Dream Glow were released. What I remember was shock, pure incredulity that BigHit would release songs of that quality for game OSTs. From ARMYs and k-pop stans alike, this was the sentiment. It was like a flex that BTS had such a peerless discography they could make songs like this for a side gig.

That's immediately what I was reminded of when I first heard Criminal Love, released as the OST for Enhypen's webtoon. It's moody, vampy, seduction in a song. That's what that song is. Sad too, when you hear the lyrics. Watching the live performance only drives it home.

1 - Blind - ENHYPEN

This song has given me one of the best auditory experiences I've ever had in k-pop. Which is a bit odd because yes a lot happens in the production, but the switches are so subtle you almost don't notice it.

Heeseung, Ni-ki, Jay, Sunoo, Sunghoon, Jake, and Jungwon - all outdid themselves on this song. Vocally, they sound incredible. The writing, (again) is top notch. This is one of the only songs released this year that I genuinely struggle not to loop.

Top 5 BTS Solo Songs

5 - Yes or No - Jung Kook

This is one song I'm praying and begging that we get thousands of remixes of. HYBE, please work your magic and give us 10 remixes of Yes or No. I need it. This is the perfect pop song in that it makes you crave more. I know it's got a predictable, common almost, chord progression in VI -> V -> I -> IV, but it's perfect in that it's impossible to get sick of it. It just worms itself into your head and all you can think of is all the ways to sing all over those chords.

Jung Kook's vocal work on that song is irreproachable. He's really set himself apart with this album and I'm glad he did it.

4 - Snooze - AGUST D, ft. Ryuichi Sakamoto & Woosung

HUH?! should be here, as should Amygdala so consider this a triple entry: HUH + Snooze + Amygdala. The reason why is self-evident (I hope).

Anyway... I want to talk a bit about Snooze.

Yoongi loves using the piano. He likes the sound of it, and you can tell in songs like Snooze. He has such a profound love and respect for that musical instrument that it only makes sense a man like Ryuichi acknowledged Yoongi before he passed.

With everything that happened this year, remembering Moonbin, and knowing that Yoongi made this song for his juniors... the first time I heard this song it completely destroyed me. Anyone who hasn't paid attention to the lyrics yet should check it.

When I casually listen in to TXT, SVT, Enhypen, BoyNextDoor, and see the work they're doing, putting out easily some of the best music and performances in their generations, I hope and pray they develop a support system that genuinely values them, soon. I hope they survive this industry, and thrive in it.

3 - All Day - RM ft Tablo

Not to be that person (since he's canceled for reasons and it actually makes sense why), but when I first saw the song title All Day, I immediately remembered All Day by Kanye West - one of the sauciest and meanest songs he's ever made. I was worried, given the tone of the album to that point, that Namjoon was going to give us his take on Ye's original. Joon is more than capable of dropping a track just as mean if not more. I didn't put it past him to pay homage to the Kanye joint by taking a spin on it. But, thankfully, All Day is nothing like Kanye's song, and it's my favourite song on Indigo because it's the best.

Joon's diction on this track is *chef's kiss*. His voice.... that outro, and thank goodness, Tablo came through. He actually has a presence on the track and made it even more worth the listen.

It kills me that we don't even have a visualizer for this masterpiece.

2 - Set Me Free Pt 2 - Jimin

Thank you for giving me another chance to talk about Set Me Free Pt 2.

One reason all the anxiety and fear-mongering around Jimin seems insane to me is because Jimin dropped this song and ended k-pop in 2023. He literally has no real competition. He came in, showed out, and left. That song is the sexiest joint out of Korea this year. It's so nasty. He's absolutely disgusting on this song in how brutally he makes rubbish of everything beneath him. Like, he literally has people bowing down to him in the choreography. Bobbing their heads like Funko Pops, while he sings to be set free. I'm going on a bit of a tangent here, but I want to say something. There's a cruelty in the way Jimin speaks. Whether to someone else or to himself. It's often (somewhat) restrained, born of the way he sees the world I think, and it was especially brutal in their early days, but he's toned it down significantly since 2016. It's virtually non-existent in his speech patterns and word choice now. Jimin of the last few years communicates gently, directly, tactfully, and at worst, bluntly. A lot of that cruelty is toned down but he unleashes a whisper of it on SMF Pt 2. Just listen to what he's saying on that song. That autotune effect on his voice was for our benefit and safety. Nothing can convince me otherwise. And we haven't even yet gotten into the full symbolism of the MV and his lyricism...

The moment I heard this song I knew I would bias Jimin. He's a man who knows what he's doing.

Jimin is a one of a kind wonder. Real magic in a person. An artist. He proves it on Set Me Free Pt 2. Kudos to PDogg too - the GOAT.

1 - On The Street - j-hope ft J. Cole

When it comes to song construction, I have to give credit where credit is due and the fact is Hoseok outdid himself with this song. It is perfect, my top pick for a k-pop song in 2023. Jermaine did good on it too. But, you know... Hoseok.

The whistle melody he came up with, the beat, the vocal layering, the mixing, the MV direction - all of it is perfect. If we were giving scores based on separate components, OTS would get 10s in every category.

Honestly, Hoseok coming out at number 1 is kind of expected of him lol.

I deliberately have never picked an actual deadname for Vox, but I do like to think that it started with V. Valerie, Vanessa, Violet, Victoria, Vivian. Veronica is kind of a fun option because I'm a sucker for Heathers references. They're all fair game and I don't currently have plans to canonize any one in particular.

MissDove's Vox backstory spinoff Casting Call 666, Now Auditioning For: Hell's Newest Overlord! (which is amazing, by the way, I really recommend giving it a read!) did a clever thing I thought was very neat in deadnaming him Valerie Fox, which got bastardized to Vox when he glitched out in communicating his name. (It's also fun because it also shortens to 'Val' and I can't wait to see if that comes up in the fic when he meets Valentino!)

As for Alastor's perspective of the other Vees...I feel like he largely finds them generally distasteful both for reasons of their careers and also their general personalities. They're all domineering people who demand attention, which clashes with Alastor's need to be a domineering person who demands attention, hahaha, especially since it's in a very irreverent, modernistic fashion. I do have him be comparatively more fond of Velvette in Once Bitten, Back For More, but that's largely a matter of the context of that particular fic. I don't think a non-AU Alastor would give her all that much leeway just because she's a lady. That said, from what I can tell, I don't think he cares that much about either Velvette or Valentino outside of the context of them being Vox's coworkers, so I suspect he largely just goes about his life ignoring them.

The first 3/4ths of the movie are fun and goofy but in a flavor I am not sure I enjoy personally and The Themes feel like they're laid on a little thick, but I think this is the kinda thing that needs to be told "nail bat to the face" style.

Maybe there was a better way to deliver the message? Maybe there wasn't? But either way, there was heart and rage and passion put into it and I can very much respect that.

First of all, let's establish something. JK calls V and Jin handsome yes. He said V was the most handsome man he has ever seen. And that's fine. I believe the same. V is really good looking. Also anon, Jimin has said the same thing also. So stop conveniently leaving that out. It ain't just JK who's gushed about V's looks.

But you know what JK has never called V? Sexy. Yet he's said that about Jimin like a million times. I can say someone is beautiful and not want to fuck them. And no, JK shouting "sexy Namjoon!" jokingly at a concert is not the same thing as him making that noise right before saying Jimin is sexy. Then this stupid question arises asking JK to rate members.

Here's the thing, understandig the situation at hand, rating Jimin last was the easiest thing to do for JK. He was closest to Jimin, they were spending time together all the time. So it was easier to make fun of him as opposed to other members.

Don't get it twisted, JK wasn't enjoying hurting Jimin's feelings. Look at this part after he rates Jimin last, he can't even look at Jimin. Because he knows what he's done. He also knows what he will find when he looks at Jimin's face.

JK was not enjoying this. Maybe in the beginning, but after Jimin kept vocalising how much he hated it JK, stopped enjoying it. One time he even rated them according to the order of the fanchant. Thats how done he was with that question. That link i shared

RM too didn't care for the question and tried to stop JK from putting Jimin last. But alas!

Back on topic anon, if u watch the timeline links I shared this also contributed to Jimin pulling away. Off camera JK was treating Jimin very well, doting on him, loving on him, cuddling him in his sleep, maybe they were already exchanging kisses at that point. But then on camera JK would do things like rate Jimin last. So yeah, Jimin said fuck it and started pulling away. So much like u, he didn't like it either. Here is a painful analysis of zoomed in reactions on how much Jimin hated this. It really wasn't nice and I get why some people like u feel some type of way about it.

But this post is about why JK did what he did at that time. It's the factors mentioned above and let's not forget immaturity. And yet when Jimin started pulling away, around May 2015 we had JK changing his behaviour. He started telling Jimin he was handsome all the time.

That Thailand run BTS live where Armys asked if he liked Jimin, suddenly he was going "Jimin hyung's eyes are so pretty."

When the push and pull started JK was singing a whole different tune. He saw he was losing Jimin and decided to get his shit together and he hasn't looked back since.

I love Jimin, I love him sm. But this topic is not a sore one for me at all. Because if u really pay attention u will notice how attached JK was to Jimin since the beginning. He liked Jimin way before it became about sexual attraction. Jimin quickly became his favourite hyung and it's honestly quite clear. Let's never forget about satellite Jeon. Why would JK follow Jimin if he hated him??? Makes 0 sense.

Till this day whenever looks is brought up JK will mention Jin and Tae and not Jimin

hi anon!! thank you sm :'> and personally, tldr; its pressure in the wrist and fingers! i should or could post how i do this if people are interested enough maybe? but !! photo angles and lighting is a HUGE part of it too, since i don't do digital work yet. eheh.

extensive: offnote, if you struggle with tendonitis or carpel tunnel, genuinely recommend stretching or doing at least a warmup sketch btw :') but! the way i make black 'work' or monochromes of the black pencil to give depth/layers in the hair is just with applying varying force to each strand (stroke). i also try to copy as closely to the original pencil lines as well to not make it messy or "flat". the first is a gentle full fill-in, like you took a painbucket tool and spilled a 40% opacity black on the whole hair's inline. feather light. after that, its those strands! and boom, ya got black hair in multiple tones just like irl hair sometimes does ^v^ and NTB, have drawn and colored people for years so hair is one of my faveee to do! this was fun to reply. open to updates as well!

thanks for waiting for me to answer. I've been super busy. and this ask made me SO happy. So I actually read some Shakespeare in high school and while I found them interesting, Macbeth was the only one that strongly resonated with me (and still one of my favorites). Later I got to see it on stage and also saw a production of Julius Caesar on stage. And omg it was so much more vibrant. I got back into Shakespeare recently after watching the Donmar Warehouse production of Coriolanus (streaming free here https://www.schooltube.com/media/Coriolanus+%7C+Donmar+Warehouse+%7C+National+Theatre+at+Home/1_i4iwz5ix) and then basically binging a whole bunch of other plays and various adaptations of those plays. I highly highly recommend that production btw. 

I personally think the plays are more fun to watch than to read. I mean, reading them is basically like reading the script for a movie. Shakespeare never meant anyone to read his plays. They are much more engaging and also easier to understand when you see them performed. (That said of course you can get a lot out of reading them too).

I've found that understanding Shakespearean English is hard at first but your ear adjusts. Just like listening to a foreign language gets easier. And while the language in Shakespeare is challenging, if you already speak English then learning to understand it is WAYYYY easier than learning a new language. So instead of thinking of it like hard English think of it as a really easy foreign language. Sure there are some differences but you can pick it up relatively fast. Versus the years it would take to learn a new language well.

What plays you will like most really vary from person to person. I think the easiest stories to understand are the ones you can get engrossed in. I also think sometimes the comedies are harder to understand since sometimes the jokes reference things that you need to know a lot about the culture and history of the time they were written to get. (I mean. Think how specific to a certain context a lot of talk shows are).

The globe theater has a streaming service (https://www.shakespearesglobe.com/watch/) where you can watch a bunch of their plays online. I really love the henriad, which is a series of 4 plays that follow several generations of characters in the monarchy and it's kinda like game of thrones minus the dragons (I mean GoT was actually based on the same history so it's not surprising). The plays are Richard II, Henry IV pt 1, Henry IV pt 2 and Henry V. The Globe Theater productions (esp Henry IV pt 1 and Henry V) are amazing and their take on Prince Hal/Henry V is PERFECT. I also love their production of Macbeth. You always read a synopsis before watching so it makes more sense. 

(You do have to pay for the streaming service but the price is pretty reasonable compared to the cost of a theater ticket. Esp given you get access to a whole bunch of performances. So it’s a good way to get a flavor of the experience of performances for a lot less cost. and of course it’s much more accessible since you can watch from anywhere. and you can pause it etc if you need to)

The Digital Theater streaming service has Royal Shakespeare Company plays (https://www.digitaltheatre.com). The RSC production of Hamlet with Paapa Essiedu is THE version of Hamlet for me. It's just. SO good. There's also a FABULOUS RSC production of Caesar on there that is super good and which I highly recommend.

And of course, any of these plays can be read instead if you want. You can usually find the texts for free online. Or at your local library.

so, physically, im 5'3 (like 164cm or sum) , i have brown hair and blue eyes. i have 8 ear piercings and one nose one, i wear baggy clothes, like baggy jeans, t-shirts and shorts. i also wear my pajamas or leggings basically anywhere that doesn't need me to dress up. i look like id be mean (as other people tell me). i don't have clear skin (acne and scars), and im not the skinniest person. i have thick thighs and a thick bum and i have big annoying tits, and i don't have a flat stomach.

mentally, i love the jackass franchise (i just like watching people get hurt tbh). i like kids, except if they're my siblings. i have a very big music taste, so if someone were to out anything on in the car id listen to it. but my main music taste is snoop dogg, nirvana, nelly, tyler the creator, deftones, HIM and sublime. im not too insecure but if someone says something about my appearance it will def bring my mood down. i have fomo (fear of missing out) and i have adhd, which makes me have emotional outbreaks and mood swings.

Straight of the bat, you look like a meanie. He loves that. Trevor adores intimidating people, someone who can match his energy when scowling and glaring at people in the streets.

He likes your physique very much. You aren’t skinny meaning you have natural curves to you, my god, he loves this. We all know he loves some big tits as well so you are in for a ride. You won’t escape his grasp much. Besides… he doesn’t care what clothes you wear. Nevertheless! The likeness of watching violence and aggression in movies (or other scenarios) is very similar to Trevor. He’d find it refreshing to be with someone so unfazed by sudden violence and fighting. It makes you 10x more hotter in his eyes. Considering you have the fear of missing out, it would compliment his abandonment issues well. He’ll know you won’t do anything to suddenly leave and leave him in a pit of solitude and isolation. It gives him a sense of security (and he’ll use this excuse to take you doing his criminal activities).

Trevor is also familiar with emotional breakdowns and moodswings. He may not be able to handle someone else’s but he can try. Key word: try. He’s unstable himself so there might be some sort of strain there. Too much emotions can tilt him off the edge but hey! Trevor loves the rollercoaster of emotions! It makes his life more interesting.

Story time? About my dreams? It’s more likely than you think.

Anyways remember that Macet, Daro, and Telle dream I had?! My brain did a remix while I was awake (yay for daydreams) that added Boheeka. Which is fine but!!! I ended up married to Akellan 💜💜💜 but apparently he was friends with Madred and liked to be cuckholded sooooo there was an ‘interrogation’ that used him and a bunch of his glinns(?). But that was after the free use party at Macet’s which had some of my friends and the guests were: Daro, Telle, Boheeka, Tekheny Gamor, Dukat (obviously 🤣🤣 because I was rereading your whole lizard list), and Madred. Anyways one of my friends ended up going home with Tekheny (I can’t spell I’m sorry) after. And also banged Ari! So yay! And another ended up with Madred. I got to ‘interrogate’ her first as a way to see if I wanted to join. But anyways we apparently got so good at it there was a real one with an actual suspected traitor! Don’t worry, Akellan got in on all of the ‘interrogations’ he just had to wait his turn for a very long time.

And then as I was falling asleep I had a pon farr dream with Taurik? There was a center unmated or Vulcans who’s partners couldn’t help for health or travel reasons went to and I got paired up with him.

Apparently my brain somehow meshed these together while I was dead asleep into me being somewhere deep in Cardassian space with a gul who had absolutely broken me. I blame stayneurotic’s keevan and the spy part 4 (which popped on my feed, I’ve only read part 4) because I read that during lunch. I WOKE UP about this one! Legit woke up, went back to sleep and continued it. Idk how because that never happens but it was AMAZING. 11/10 would recommend insert Chef’s Kiss emoji here times 36.

I’m not gonna like I read the mirror fic with Dukat 3 times yesterday and Bird of Prey twice. Why do I feel like Dukat insinuates Damar would be down to participate again in activities involving the reader??? I think it was my horny brain😭😭😭😭
