Since I've been drawing sans' in dresses, I was requested some Papyrus in dress. It's been a bit since I've drawn OD! Paps and I felt like drawing my interpretation of SF/FS (I do not know the difference okay-) Papyrus.:]

it's not that I don't think papyrus would dress gnc, I don't think HE thinks he dresses gnc. like you casually bring it up one day while complimenting his new skirt and he corrects you because "AS YOU CAN SEE, I WROTE "COOL DUDE" ON IT WITH A MARKER."

The five basic variants of sandal design across the Wardi cultural sphere:

Left to right:

-Very simple sandals composed of thin, flexible leather. Offers basic protection for the soles of the feet while retaining full mobility. All-purpose shoe, sometimes specifically used for running. Generally considered unisex.

-Similar design built more stiffly with thicker soles and a heel. This one is made with tightly woven grass. generally considered unisex.

-Thicker sandals with a strap over the toes and ankle support. Almost always made with leather. Some styles extend further up the shins. General all-purpose shoe, usually considered masculine.

-Decorative sandals with backing around the heel, attached to the ankle with a lace. Can be made with a variety of materials, this example uses a thin horseskin leather that has been embroidered, and is fairly high quality. Generally considered masculine.

-Heeled wooden clogs with laced ankle backing. This form is most typical of unisex Ubiyan wear and has gradually spread along both the north and south coasts of the Viper sea. In the Wardi sphere, it has only been adopted as women's wear to elevate the feet and prevent long skirts from dragging through dirt and mud. This is a more expensive example with saffron dyed + embroidered fabric, and probably worn by nobility.

Additional notes:

-All sandal variants place a strap between the big toe and pointer toe.

-A large portion of the population goes barefoot outside of the colder winter months, though this tends to have negative associations with poverty and is often avoided when possible (with exceptions for some dances and certain public settings). This stigma has been intensifying in recent history, and habitual daily barefootedness is beginning to be described as a 'barbaric' cultural feature, though this remains a minority opinion. This concern tends to be much lower in 'rural' areas, and is largely absent among Loberani Wardi (who tend to characterize barefootedness as humble in a positive capacity and associate it with athleticism).

-Laymen (regardless of status) are required to remove their shoes to enter the vast majority of temples, usually along with ablution of the feet.

-The most common materials for everyday sandals is woven grass, being a ubiquitous resource and easy to shape, but not all that durable. Papyrus reed shoes are favored closer to rivers, and the leaves of anuje palms (most common along the southern-western coastlines) are also of utility. Among nobility, leather sandals (often embellished with textile) are preferred for public use, with straw sandals being largely reserved for wear within the home. Galenii priests and monks wear straw sandals regardless of their original social status. Shoes with wooden soles are pretty rare (only in part due to being a more limited resource) and wood is mostly reserved for the heeled clogs worn predominantly by noblewomen.

-Closed toe shoes/boots are worn too, but are not widely used on the whole. They have been adopted by Ephenni Wardi as winter wear (in large part due to both Burri and Chenahyeigi influence, as both of these cultural spheres have strong boot-wearing traditions), and have been standard for Erubnae Wardi winter dress for most of their history (as the former city-state Erub was originally a Chenahyeigi settlement). Other Wardi peoples tend to wear wool socks under their sandals, which suffices as cold protection in the majority of winters. Heeled riding boots Have been adopted at large scales, particularly for cavalry.

Just a few random facts/details about each!

Sans (Classic)

Sans is 6'5

His 'formal wear' is always the minimum amount of effort.

Unlike Stretch, Classic doesn't drive a car he does have an electric scooter though that he occasionally uses.

Has the highest magic output due to them being in his Universe

Papyrus (Creampuff)

Paps is 8'6 and the tallest excluding Elk 🫎

Most of the household knows Edge is taking cooking lessons, but he makes them stay quiet till Edge is ready to tell everyone!

Drives a red Mustang and works on his car with Edge, it's one thing they bonded over.

Has the highest stamina of the skeletons, Blue is about the only one who can keep up with him.

Blue/Blueberry (Underswap Sans)

Blue is 5'9 tying with Black height wise.

He acts more childish outside of work because he worries people won't like him being himself.

Actually loves greasy food, but like Cherry and Black won't admit to it.

Blue can actually use a hammer, a bow, and even has firearms experience though he prefers hand guns. If it's long distance shooting he'd rather use his bow.

Stretch (Underswap Papyrus)

Stretch is 8'4 and shares height with Mutt.

He drives a convertible Mini Cooper Countryman to the annoyance of everyone.

Stretch like Papyrus and Edge actually doesn't care much for greasy food. He's a sweets man.

His favorite dessert is Honeybuns, but a close second is Chocolate Custard Donuts.

Red (Underfell Sans)

Red is 6'8 if he doesn't slouch him and Classic both have a bad habit of doing so.

Drives a pretty basic black pickup truck, though it is an older model he fixed up.

Has a vendetta with Doom-fang, Tigger he doesn't have issues with but the other is another story.

If you can somehow get in his room, hidden under his bed are an assortment of stuffed toys he collects. Red secretly enjoys cute things.

Edge (Underfell Papyrus)

Edge and Cash are actually the shortest Papyri at 8'2.

Edge doesn't want any of the others to know about his cooking classes. He thinks only his brother knows.

Edge will not let anyone drive his Stingray, though his brother typically does maintenance.

Has a soft spot for others, but will never admit it you may notice him doing little things to make your day better but call attention to it and he gets blushy fast.

Cherry (Fellswap Sans)

He is the shortest of all the skeletons at 5'2 without heels and 5'5 with them.

Don't let his size fool you Cherry has the worst temper and the highest LOVE of all the fell skeletons.

Uses a sickle for fighting, whereas Black uses a scythe. Both have extensive hand to hand combat training.

Drives around in a dark red Lamborghini, and like Edge doesn't allow anyone to touch it. Though he has forced Mutt to drive him to places on occasion.

Mutt (Fellswap Papyrus)

Each of the fell skeletons have an array of scars, sadly out of all of them Mutt has the most. Some from fights, but many are from punishments. (By Cherry, Their Undyne, or Their Toriel.)

Mutt works at the local animal shelter on weekends, but his brother doesn't know this. He believes that Mutt is doing extra training.

Want's a dog, but keeps getting stopped by his brother and Edge. Cherry doesn't think he is suited to be a 'master' and Edge because he worries it will chase his cats.

Mutt is actually the most physically strong skeleton despite not working out as often as some of the others. He is very cautious for this reason as he actually dislikes hurting others.

Black/Blackberry (Swapfell Sans)

Black is perhaps the most strategic, enough so that out of the others Classic often discusses major decisions with him.

Black and Cherry have been known to use feminine ecto when it strikes their fancy. Though Black typically prefers skirts whereas Cherry enjoys dresses.

His closest friend is Cherry, he has tried to talked to him on more than one occasion about how he treats his brother. Though only he understands why Cherry is seemingly so cruel to him.

Black enjoys taking his bike out almost more than Blue, often riding further out and much faster. He often does the maintenance himself, but if he is unable to find the time will allow Red to do so.

Cash (Swapfell Papyrus)

Has a unique set of teeth in that he was born with an extra set of fangs behind his first set. Though many doctors are unsure as to why, many guess it is simply a trait unique to him.

Drives a black Charger with purple trim, and does not allow anyone outside his approved list to drive it. Papyrus, Black, Cherry, or Edge.

It's true Cash typically wants SOMETHING in return for anything he does. However if he genuinely makes a mistake, is helped, or someone is in truly dire straits he will help under the pretense of ' paying debts'.

Has a blind socket though unlike Frostbite, chooses to hide it. This is because in his world exposing a weakness is extremely dangerous.

Frostbite (Violentale Sans)

The largest Sans, Frost stands at over 8'8 not including his antlers though he occasionally slouches like Red.

He's very sensitive about his ears and teeth. His teeth due to their horrific appearance and his ears for looking much too 'cute'.

Likes to hunt although make sure he is actually hunting ANIMALS. Not something else...

Knows how to properly prepare the animals he hunts, he created most of the clothes that he and his brother wear. His venison jerky is actually delicious.

Elk (Violentale Papyrus)

The tallest Papyri and the tallest skeleton Elk is a beast at 9'2 that does not include their antlers!!!

Though they will answer to He, Elk prefers neutral gender pronouns. Though they understand not everyone conforms to this.

An absolute gentle giant, they don't like to fight period and will absolutely avoid doing so even if they get hurt. They're just so big that they're scared of hurting someone.

While they can hunt much like Frost, Elk would prefer traps if he must. His real talent however is finding natural herbs and the like as a gatherer rather than a hunter.

Free will strikes again, these were some really fun doodles :3. I think Simon is allowed to be a little visual kei sometimes. Idk I just know he’d vibe with it. Explanations under a cut—

And also a couple unfinished doodles that were just intended to be rough pose/anatomy practice sketches, but ended up accidentally more detailed than intended 💀💀💀. It’s nothing graphic, but ⚠️slight artistic nudity warning⚠️ anyway in case d(>_< ).

Hehehe, this is based off of a photo from Malice Mizer live, it’s Simon in place of Mana and Fuma in place of Gackt. Very fun pose to draw!!! Especially cause it’s a pose with a whip and also cause idk why but I find poses with one or both arms up pretty easy to draw. And yeah yay, Fuma inclusion yippie :3!

I don’t have any other explanation for why this exists other than dresses are cool. So I made him one :D. The coord has a half caplet that connects to a shoulder paldron on the other shoulder by chain with a little cross. Under that there’s a blouse and skirt combo with patterns similar to his SQ armor and some rose thorn patterns around the ends of the sleeves and collar. Over that is a corset and under is a cage crinoline made to look like crosses peaking around the edge. Shoes carry outfit motifs like the roses on the bow tie and headdress and the lace throughout. Also, an eyepatch with cross on it because yeah, cute :3. I’d probably wear this if I had uh any skill in sewing at all (TwT ).

A not chibi version of the above outfit! Except probably without the crinoline with how the skirt fabric is sitting lol. Tbh I think Simon would probably be fine with this for a little bit and then get uncomfortable about having so many layers on. I don’t think he’d like tights at all 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀. Hmmm I’ll have to draw a version of it that’d be more comfortable for him hmm maybe tomorrow.

Simon facing off against his worst enemy: stairs! This one was practice drawing characters in backgrounds, since I’m so rusty at actually drawing those two things together (ToT ). I can draw a separate background fine, but the second I have to put someone in it I just completely forget what I’m doing XD.

This one is also a practice! He’s running up to the altar in Drac’s basement. The lighting was fun for this one, but I forgot to draw the whip in his hand 💀.

This one was an attempt at drawing a skeleton and keeping the same proportions in a drawing of someone (Simon) who is uh not a skeleton. Fun fact! It took me like 5 tries to get the skeleton to not just look like Papyrus Undertale cause holy heck do the skeletons from that game take a hold of some part of your art style and never let go 💀💀💀💀

CASTLEVANIA JUDGEMENT HAS HATS??? AS LIKE AN UNLOCKABLE?????????? So obviously I had to draw Simon (x2) with the bow options. Pink probs looks really nice with his hair tbh. And the striped bow was black and white so it fits with the Judgement design’s outfit. If I ever actually play this game again (I suck so bad at it), I’ll be trying to get these for the very important reason of Simon cute. :3

Ok now these two. The first one was a different attempt at that Mana pose, but a bigger scale and a bit less exaggerated. I ended up having to do a ton of edits to it cause I kept making things too big or too small lol. And the second one is just a couple dynamic posing practices. They’re also excuses to draw more arm up poses cause they’re fun X3. He was just supposed to have like a generic placeholder rectangle er um uh there, but some of the sketchy lines ended up looking like what’s supposed to be in that spot, so I just didn’t wanna risk these being on main tags out in the open 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀. Though, tbh, I’ve seen more explicit things on the tags so eh, better safe than sorry tho (- w - )

What about a crush (that likes the skeleton back but hasn't confessed yet) that's super flirty and teasing? Like the "'accidently' dropping something and leaning down while wearing booty shorts or a mini-skirt" kind of teasing? And "fawning over them when they're working out/sparring/wearing dress shirts or asking if they can touch" kind of flirty?

Risqué! For this ask I’m assuming the crush and skele are already good friends.

Wine

You are fire, and Wine is gasoline. He will call it out every time, remarking that if you need him, all you have to do is ask… you’ll be left blushing, which is just where he wants you. For every brush or tease you give him, he will answer with a touch that lingers just long enough to spark your imagination, or a whisper in your ear that promises such a good time. He’ll always pull away just when you want more, and his chuckle lets you know he is the one in control. This is a delicious game, and he’s already won.

Blue

Blue knew immediately what you were up to. You don’t know that he knows, because he’s playing innocent. He wonders how long you’ll keep at this, and how obvious you’ll make it as time goes on! When he’s bored (or just wants to put you out of your misery) he will give you innocent little touches back, sending you crazy trying to work out what they mean. He would usually prefer it if you would sit down and actually talk it out, but he can’t deny that all this attention is doing something for him. He finds the whole thing flattering and the touches aren't unwelcome. Ego thoroughly boosted, he will eventually tell you how he feels about you, so you can finally give up the game!

Edge

At first Edge is going to snap at you and ask whether you’re broken. The 'accidentally' dropping things is going to annoy him, and the fawning he completely understands, being the man he is after all, but it’s getting in the way of him working out. However, when he mentions all of this to Red in passing one day, Red is going to tease him to hell and back for not realising you’re flirting with him! Edge goes rigid and his mind flashes back to all those moments… moments you must have thought him naïve, or worse, lacking. The next time you come to hang out, he’s going to sweep you off you feet with the smoothest lines you’ve ever heard. Just don’t ask him where it came from, because he will never admit how long he stayed up researching how to do this.

Razz

Razz doesn’t like this. You are obviously doing this to tease him – are you trying to get him to beg for you? Because if you think that’s going to happen you're sorely mistaken! He’s just frustrated trying to work out what you want, and the overdramatic fawning has him snapping at you. He was just working out how to become someone’s partner, how to confess his feelings to you… and now you’re acting like this - why is this a game to you?! He’s quite hurt and feels embarrassed, you’ll have to go a few steps back I’m afraid since his trust is a bit broken. Stop the teasing and tell him straight how you feel, he needs that reassurance. He wants a partner who he feels secure with, and he doesn’t do well if he’s confused. Remember, he’s not great at understanding his feelings and he hasn’t done this before.

Black

Well, this is a bit of a farce. He reasons that you’re doing this because you have feelings for him but are afraid to voice them, and want him to make the first move. He can do that, but right now he feels a bit like he’s babysitting. He thought you were mature enough to communicate with your words, not your ass. Eventually he pulls you to the side and point blank asks if you’re ready to talk about your feelings, because there’s only so many times he can watch you drop your pencil. That has you embarrassed and feeling a bit silly. He tells you that he understands if you find it hard to confess, but that if you’re to be partners you need to be able to talk to each other and not play roundabout games. You thank him and feel better about the whole thing, but it’s not until you go home that you realise he basically asked you out!

Willow

Poor Willow isn’t quite sure what to make about all of this. He’d spent weeks thinking about how to confess to you, then talking himself out of it. Again and again. Then your behaviour changed, and he thinks (?) you’re trying to get his attention. He knows he has to tell you his feelings if this is situation is to improve - you obviously need his reassurance here! - but any resolve he had is crumbling with the uncertainty. Right now he feels like love is a game of chess, and he doesn’t know the rules. Plus, this skeleton has serious self-esteem issues, and to have someone so beautiful and enticing flirting with him in this way is making him feel really self-conscious. Eventually he’s going to steel his nerves, sit you down and stutter out a confession, but it’s going to be hard for him and he will spend many sleepless nights over it. Please put him out his misery!

Papyrus

Papyrus realised pretty quickly that… something… was off with his friend. He just ignored it at first and thought that maybe it would go away, but it didn’t, and now it’s just getting worse! The last time it happened, he had to stand behind you to cover you up, as you obviously hadn’t realised people could see your underwear in public! Eventually he does a little digging. You know the old Google searches like, ‘what does it mean when a girl keeps touching you’. He can’t quite believe what he’s reading, but it appears that you may have a crush on him! You feel the same way as him? He’s hugging whatever object he has to hand and all but floats down the stairs towards Sans who is so not prepared to have this conversation. He gushes all about you and asks his brother for advice. The next time you meet, Papyrus will sit you down and ask you straight if you feel the same way about him.

undertale headcanons

The red soul is a symbol of the Player's control and not a trait

Chara is the narrator, influenced heavily by the player’s control over Frisk, ending with either a very corrupted Chara after genocide or kid who just needs therapy after true pacifist.

Chara is really nice (when not corrupted) and just has some questionable morals due to past trauma relating to why they climbed Mt Ebbot.

Frisk is transmasc nonbinary and prefers they/them but also doesn't mind he/him or certain neopronouns. They hate dresses, but occasional skirts are fine.

Chara is agender.

sans is aromantic pansexual.

Papyrus is just aroace idk what to tell you.

Frisk is about 10 and Chara is 12/13ish, flowey is obviously really old but Asriel wouldve been 10 as well.

Napstablook is agender, tho technically cis bc ghosts have no gender.

There has been at LEAST a ten year gap between the last human to fall and Frisk's fall.

Gaster is actually the mystery man and is in no way related to sans and Papyrus. (At the same time I love the fanon gaster to)

The Player is the angel of the delta rune.

Toriel is the grandma who'll try her hardest to get everything right and will be super supportive but then she'll just not quite be there.

Frisk (when not possessed by cosmic entities they could never understand) likes to knit and make people sweaters.

Chara hates humans bc of animal abuse and hearing too much true crime stuff.

like the skeletons in TSM, which is like.... most of the time they wear clothes that are either a formal blouse with a vest and a skirt (generally not short because they don't like people looking at them and judging them because of their size) with white stockings and Mary Janes or coquette-style clothes or any random outfit you saw in your closet and wore because you saw it was clean, super lively and shows A LOT of emotions and is a bit childish sometimes? type...The MC simply talks for more than half an hour with Mutt about why she loves certain styles of clothes but she despairs when she sees that she said too much and thinks she's bothering himmc at breakfast painting a coloring book in the greatest happiness or drawing a confused dinosaurthe MC listening to Mutt talking about something he likes and acting like he's saying the coolest thing in the world while trying to memorize everything he says and trying to learn more about it because she wants to talk to him moremc literally saying acting like it was the happiest moment of her life because she bought/got a white dress with little pink flowers or strawberries printed all over the dressmc literally crying because of some random sad thingMC watching Metatton just because she saw Papyrus watching it and according to her (which she already told Mutt several times) that if someone cool like him watched it then Metatton must be cool too--

Well, this is essentially just the Mc from the story and the skeletons really like her. And Mutt adores her.

I'm answering more asks under the read more:

They... don't really care? The skeletons really don't care what someone looks like, their appearance doesn't matter to them. Monsters are incredibly diverse looking and there's no real beauty standard for them like there is for Humans. So what you wear, how your skin looks, all of that doesn't really matter to them.

I should say mostly, but really doesn't matter 90% of the time. They'll care if it's something you're insecure about, but mostly in the way that they'll compliment it and be sure to not pick on them for it, even if they don't like the person. Especially if it's not something they can help, like vitiligo or scars etc.

They may find those aspects interesting actually, because Humans all look practically the same when compared to Monsters. But it's not something they'll really focus too much on.

As for the first ask, well Blue and Papyrus (mainly) would want to work on the confidence a bit. And Black and Edge would be annoyed by the comments at first, but respect the attitude regardless.

And the second, they'll find her a bit strange but overall not really care. If even find her fascination with everything even considered mundane kind of enduring and cute. They're like that in a lot of regards, the Surface is pretty new to them too.

Like has they're favourite things on the outfit, fav type of clothing on MC, they're magic colour as the main palette etc! Like say for sans has magic colour dyed, star and constellations in hair clips and on outfit, thigh highs, big jacket like his, but more star or science or puns designs, little ketchup zipper keychain, hair in space buns, moon and sun earrings. Pretty much all they're favourite things and maybe fav clothing wise turn ones (socks/knee highs for those Skellies ;)), blue with sailor faintly in the design or clothing 180, edge with lingerie faintly showing but defiantly eye catching)

Maybe if possible for all love interests incase your unsure or a new fan is unsure, neighbour Skellies(sans, papyrus, blue, orange, red, edge, Berry, syrup), hotel skellies(axe, crooks, ink, error, dream, nightmare, day(daydream), killer), mafia Skellies(roulette, sniper, carbine, rifle, colt, musket), and Mint + Mango(technically also hotel Skellies in a way-) if you do mango the friendship bracelet is very easily seen, like cute sleeves rolled up above elbows or short sleeves)??? I actually have plans for this later on. Like Mc will coordinate her outfits on dates with the skeletons so she matches and now I want like Magic Hair dye that can change colors super easily with a mist spray or something. AHHH.

The Sans outfit you have described here is super cute! with the space buns and big jacket with the detail! AHHHH I want all of it.

Since I will be like doing this in later chapters I don't want to give too much away but MC has even started this. When she went on her double date with Blue and Orange (and Myra I guess) She picked out Blue's colors and a modern outfit that she thought he would like and would match.

I have a plan later for Red which is going to drive him wild. One of his thick jackets, Short ass black skirt with a red belt that has gold chains hanging off it, a red bralette, no shirt, Thigh high socks, Red and black sneakers with gold accents and a choker/collar. My favourite part about this outfit that is so totally up Red's alley is she won't be wearing it for him, even though she borrows a jacket XD I am very excited. It's one of the chapters I've had planned for a while.

I have some plans for the others too like MC classic Skulls outfit for Colt, a goddess cut dress for Nightmare and Dream, A dark purple lolita dress to mess with Berry, Orange's hoodie with underwear and nothing else for Orange. There is so much we could do both spicy and not. I am now very excited about these possible outfits.

Yennefer Coat Cosplay — Part 3: Fabric

Jacket

Decorative Skirt Panels: Gray & Gold Embroidered Fabric (Esty)

Main Jacket: Black Hopsack Linen (JoAnn)

Bodice Lining: Black Kona Quilt Cotton (JoAnn) ...I'm pretty sure

Skirt Lining: Sunlit Allium (not 100% on the color) Sew Classic Cotton (JoAnn)

The very first fabric I purchased was the decorative fabric for the panels, after a LOT of searching for something that was both vaguely screen-accurate AND in my budget. Even though the description said gray, I took a chance since it looked black in the listing photos (and imo looked black when I received it).

Now, that actually became problematic when I finally brought it into the fabric store to match....when held up against an actually black piece of fabric fabric, it looks noticeably gray in comparison.

Thus, I had two criteria for the main coat fabric: 1) not look terrible against the fabric I had already purchased; and 2) approximate the texture visible in closeup screencaps.

After looking at what felt like every single solid black fabric in the store, I landed on the black hopsack linen (I actually liked the grey papyrus slub linen even better, but it wasn't in my budget 😞). The texture contrasts with the embroidered fabric in a way that deemphasizes the color difference. The embroidered fabric is also quite thick, so I didn't want the coat fabric to be too flimsy.

It felt wrong to put a polyester lining in a linen garment, so I ended up going with a lightweight cotton (obv. silk would be a ~good~ choice but I am Cheap and also didn't want to order it online). My hope is that the natural fibers will help counteract the fact that I'm going to be wearing a heavy, fully-lined black coat in 90°F+ heat 😅

Dress

Skirt: Rose Satin Jacquard Black (Amazon)

Bodice: (I actually haven't decided yet but either the same fabric as the skirt or I have some black cotton that I think would be nice)

Honestly this isn't going to be super visible so my two goals were a) cheap and b) vaguely screen-accurate. The fabric arrives on Monday so I'm hoping it doesn't suck 🤞🩷

All told, I've probably spent ~$200 on materials (included notions, which aren't pictured here). The two biggest expenses were the linen and the embroidered jacket panel fabric, which were about $60 each. When I "started" this project last year, I think it stalled because I wasn't really confident that my sewing skills were worthy of the material cost, but since then I have several garments I've made that I actually wear regularly (....and I've watched a lot of sewing YouTubers which really do teach you a lot of techniques and tips about garment construction lol), so I have a lot more faith in my ability to pull this off!

I'm gonna start with Ma'akhi bc there's less to explain lol, but bear with me, Imma infodump for you anon. :D

Also I will preface this by saying, while I'll share a lot of historical stuff here for reference, this ancient Egypt is an AU with a different timeline, so feel free to take these as a reference and make them your own. Also feel free to use the AU tag when posting so I can see it. :D

For Ma'akhi, his heritage is Roman-Egyptian, and he's mid-30s. His parents were merchants and traders, and they made many trips to Djesdjes while he was a child. He served regularly in the temple when they were staying at the oasis, but only joined permanently once his parents died. This was before the invasion. He did have a Roman name when he was born, but his Egyptian name is what he goes by now. In full, his name is Djehutyma'akheru, 'Djehuty is true of voice'. Ma'akhi is the nickname.

This is the only image I have rn of Ma'akhi. It's a doll maker image i made of him years ago when I was working on this world as original fiction, and while it's not entirely accurate in terms of 'this is what he looks like/this is what he wears' with perhaps the exception of the face, it's at least 'these are the vibes' lol. I'd love to see some actual art of him because that doll is all I have rn!

The outfit he's in here is probably what he'd wear outside of temple spaces when he's not dressed as a priest. I don't see him as the type to wear a wig like other Egyptians would, but he would if the occasion called for it. His dress blends both Roman and Egyptian items, esp jewellery. I suspect he'd have a bunch of non-Egyptian stuff he'd acquired while travelling with his parents.

As a priest, he would wear a long white linen kilt, a white sash over his right shoulder across his body (a mark of Djehuty priests in this AU), papyrus sandals, and as high priest, he would wear the leopard skin cloak. He would also have shaved his whole body. No wool or leather was to be worn in the temple.

^ Priestly attire. But this AU would have longer skirts, usually ankle length, with pleats (and feel free to get Very Fancy with the pleats if you want to). Ma'akhi would be the guy on the far left. Cub and Scar would be closer to the middle two, but with Scar not wearing a sash, and both with longer kilts. Cub, Scar, and Ma'akhi may also wear white linen cloaks for night rituals or outside processions to protect from the heat.

For regular wear, they might just wear shorter kilts, pleated kilts, or tunics. Both Cub and Scar prefer to have their heads shaved, and would definitely wear wigs. I feel like Scar's would be more decorated than Cub's. Cub and Scar are also light-skinned Egyptians, but I'd take their skin tone less White and more tanned/brown to fit their ethnicity.

The pendant Cub wears looks something like this:

Except emerald rather than stone. It'd be about 1.5in/4cm long. It would sit around the middle of the chest near the heart area.

Sans cat, this is the style of carnelian ring Cub wears, with a slightly thicker band:

Scar wears no specific jewellery pieces, but I imagine he wears a bunch of stuff based on what he's been able to steal/trade/haggle off others. So beaded collars, single strings of beaded necklaces, arm bands or bracelets, a variety of rings, pectoral amulets, idk, google some Egyptian jewllery and pick things you think look nice. He's dedicated to Bast ofc so any Bast amulets would be a must, or anything with cats on it. He also carries a satchel/bag with potions, writing tools, and spellbooks in it.

In soldier mode, Cub carries a sword, small pouches for small spells and amulets on his belts, and a shield. Scar fights with bow and arrow if he has to, but he leaves the fighting to Cub. He prefers to talk his way out of danger.

For the Egyptians, the Libyan people (the rebu) were sometimes depicted as light-skinned people.

For my AU, I imagine them wearing more of a loincloth or short kilt and some kind of leather straps around their waist (an influence from contact with Roman armies or serving with them as mercenaries). More of a short tunic when travelling for comfort and sun protection. Leather sandals. They would have grown their hair and beards out too.

Pix, as the Copper King, isn't Libyan, but more like the Berber or Bedouin tribes, but more based on Pixandrian culture than those ones specifically. The mines are a diverse mix of people who've found a home there.

Pearl as the governor of Djesdjes is both a warrior and an official. She would dress as a soldier if defence of the oasis is called for, but when out of that role, she's more in sheath dresses and sandals, with long wigs and gold jewellery. Darker skin than Cub and Scar bc she's got a different ethnic mix, and she's spent a lot of time outside fighting with her soldiers.

Romance on the surface (part 3)

The next day, Toriel comes to see the young people and explains to them that today they are going to get their uniforms, you are delighted. Arriving at the store, the tailor first takes the boys' sizes. She is a little perplexed by their skeletal morphology and doesn't really know where to take the measurements. Then she moves on to the girls, she takes Frisk's measurements first and then comes to you. She makes you jump when she takes your chest size, which makes Sans blush who notice it. After all the measures taken and recorded, she informs you that you can come and collect your uniform in 2 hours. Toriel is surprised at the quick timing and the tailor replies that they hired monsters and with their abilities they became much faster in designing. Toriel is delighted to see that little by little the monsters are being included. Back after the 2 hour wait, the boys are the first to test their uniforms. They exit the cabin and Papyrus at his poorly tied tie and Sans has his shirt slightly open with his tie hanging around his neck. You laugh and take the initiative to dress them properly.

Y/n: Wait boys, let me help you. You must be careful to wear your uniform properly, the school dress code is important to follow.

You first start to tie the knot correctly for Papyrus who thanks you and he is proud of his look. Then you walk over to Sans and button his shirt and tie his tie. Sans blushes at your proximity but you don't seem to realize it.

P: Could I still wear my scarf with it, otherwise I might miss it?

Y/n: It depends on the school dress code, we'll watch it together when we get home if you want.

It's the girls' turn to change. Frisk is the first to come out, everyone agrees on how cute she is. For your part, you take a little longer to go out because you feel embarrassed by the size of the skirt which seems too short to you. The tailor tells you that it's completely normal, that it's the standard cut, so you decide to go out. You wear your hair tied in a ponytail with a navy blue ribbon that matches the white and navy blue uniform. Papyrus, Frisk and Toriel all tell you that you looks beautiful in it.

T: My child, the uniform suits you perfectly.

P: Wowie Y/n you're almost as cool as me! Of course no one is as cool as the great Papyrus but the uniform suits you very well! What do you think Sans?

Sans, who had not said anything until then, jumps when Papyrus calls out to him. You look at him carefully waiting for his response. Your gaze on him makes him lose his composure. Indeed he finds you sublime in this uniform but how could he say it. He then stutters out a response.

S: It...it suits you well.

Although the answer was simple, it was enough to make you smile. Back home you explain the school rules to Sans and Papyrus and tell them about the canteen, Papyrus is excited and says he can't wait for you to eat there together, you then promise to go there eat together at the start of the school year. You also tell them about the clubs and again Papyrus gets excited and says he wants to join them all.

P: I will join all the clubs that exist, that way I will make a lot of friends and they will all love me!
