formerly an essay in tags but - billie lurk. half-nameless, misremembered woman. her powers derived from the things taken from her, without any catharsis or empowerment. the rat charm, tied with deidre's hair, her lover's voice in the mouth of rats. her arm and eye, taken, given back only to cause her chronic pain, then lost again. foresight seems a cruel gift for a woman who botched the timing of her takeover of the whalers, and bet wrong when it came to delilah.

she never bore the outsider's blessing; his first visit to her was more like an assault. every other dishonored POV character gets the choice to be selfish, and for that selfishness to mean something, but billie's actions have no effect on the world at large, either, in a game without a chaos system.

some say that corvo is the ghost, but he can reach out and change things. billie's buried herself twice and come back and nothing she does seems to matter - she is less a protagonist, more a convenient full stop in the narrative.

try this: open doto, start a new game. sit in her cabin. notice how little of billie there is. even the woman she loved more than anyone has the face of another named character.

she sits amongst the assets of other games: empty canvases and a dressmaker's mannequin that wears nothing.

Everyone should know mosh pit etiquette, but unfortunately they don’t. You were left trying to support crowd surfers virtually by yourself when these massive dudes decided it was more fun to slam directly into the sides of the pit, deliberately trying to open it up way more than it needed to be.

You were holding your own, but god those kinds of fuckers suck. Especially when you ended up with an elbow to the side after one slammed into you while you were holding up a crowd surfer. Knocking the wind out of you as you doubled over.

Seeing red you surged forward to shove him back, almost knocking him to the ground with sheer force when someone’s arms circled around your waist to pull you back against a firm chest.

“He ain’t worth it,” His lips pressed against your ear as you turned to face a gorgeous guy with purple hair, “You okay?”

“Yeah, I’m fine,” You smile, “I’ve had way fucking worse, trust me.”

“Doesn’t make it okay.” His hand was still reassuring against your lower back as he leaned down to talk to you over the loud music. His eyes glaring at the prick who was still ruining the pit for everyone as he barged a guy to the side, spilling his pint everywhere.

When the song finished and the pit stilled Shinsou left your side, heading directly to the asshole that was ruining the vibes.

“Have you ever been in a fucking pit?” Shinsou snarled as he got directly into the guys face.

“I have actually, way better pits than this one,” The guy looked as though he was about to square up to him, fists clenched until the rest of the pit began to get behind you. All trying to force the asshole out of the crowd.

The cheer was loud enough to get the attention of the band as the guy left the middle, the crowd parting for him to leave as you felt relief you’d finally be able to actually enjoy the music.

You ended up sticking by Shinsou in the pit for the rest of the set, helping people up and lifting crowdsufers when they wanted to go. Shinsou even caught you by surprise by lifting you up and making you crowdsuf during the last song.

After the set you hung around, trying to find Shinsou in the dispersing crowd to thank him before finding your friends inside the festival site. And when you did you both ended up talking for ages, following each other to other stages when you found out you liked the same bands and going to the bar together.

You were sad when the night was over and you’d have to say goodbye to him, asking where he was staying tonight since he wasn’t local to the festival either. He ended up telling you he was going to sleep in his car, so you invite him to couch surf with you at your friends house.

And you both end up hanging out in the backyard, eating pizza and chilling into the early hours. He ends up kissing you before you go to sleep, and he tags along to the other dates you’re doing on the tour because of you— even though he was supposed to be going back to work the next day.

When Janet was fairly new into management at Roni's, Bacon made it a point to put up with her snobby behavior and her constant singling out of him. His ability to pick up people's emotions allowed him to determine that she didn't really mean any harm, and figured that she might've just been having a difficult time adjusting.

He saw no reason to escalate any of the conflict. However, with time he began to realize that she treated other people differently than him. She was much more respectful and polite to the other employees, and treated them as equals; she even treated Bits slightly better!

Whatever it was she had been trying to conceal with her seemingly forced hostile behavior, Bacon eventually decided it didn't justify a single ounce of her treatment towards him; so he eventually started returning it to her.

i'm tired lemme tell you a bit about my ocs who are the main characters of the current story, present arc (currently writing two: present arc, which takes place in 2017, and legends, which takes place 5,000+ years ago)

okay so we have Alli and Rin. Alli is 15 years old, her mother is an elven crown princess and her father is a genderfluid vampire lord. she has an older half-brother (who used to have a twin but she died a few years ago). she's Hindu, which is 100% because of @plumblueflower telling me that her brother looks Indian and it kind of spiraled from there. when she grows up she'll look a lot like Anya Chalotra as yennefer. she's got some anger issues, cranky bab, altho this is partly bc the inciting incident is her qpp being kidnapped and everyone else thinks they should go get adult help but Alli kind of just runs off

Rin is the qpp. She's a 14 year old puck, with cicada-like wings that're in motion 90% of her waking hours. She's fluttery and excitable and weirdly good with names. pucks can change form (limited) and the forms she's chosen (that I know about currently) are: robin, deer, violet. she is smol for her age and pretty affable, her smile is contagious. also she is descended from Robin Goodfellow and her full first name is an alternate form of Robin. she is under 5 feet tall also. tiny childe. likes to fly to be at or above head height

they've been friends for 5+ years, probably around 8-10 years but idk exactly. qpps for much less time, unsure how long exactly, maybe a few months to a year?
