Miss Tiggy - Miss Tiggy is Miss piggy's whatnot counterpart, she is the primadonna Tiger lady but she is also very hot tempered, so beware of her! She is even Dermot's love interest. Her headcanon voice actor is Pendleton Ward, And her voice claim is lumpy space princess from adventure time.

Ozzy Woodchuck - Ozzy Woodchuck is fozzie bear's whatnot counterpart, he is the comedic Woodchuck of the Show And his jokes often suck and he often uses honks for entertainment of other whatnots. His headcanon voice actor is Doug Giorgis, And his voice claim is Bobby zilch from psychonauts.

Bonzo the amazing monkey - Bonzo the amazing monkey is gonzo's whatnot counterpart, he is the Daredevil Monkey that isnt afraid to do some dangerous acrobatics And stuff, And he has a thing for fairies that are taller than him. fozzy bear cg headcanons-

-Probably a silly uncle cg

-would get super involved in all the games his little would want to play.

-would put on little comedy shows for his regressor

-prob would be very good with toddlers and older kiddos

-will put on silly movies to entertain a little

What if the Muppet guys... were Muppeteers? 🤔

Dialogue taken from the Who's On First skit.

Archeops is a live-hand puppet. Emmet operates the head and right hand, while Ingo controls the left hand. Normally it's the right hand that is controlled by a different puppeteer but Emmet is left-handed so they are doing it this way round.

Archeops is a himbo type character. He is gullible, eager to help and frequently comedically misunderstands what other characters want from him.

Emolga is a Fozzie bear-esqe character who tells bad puns. She often has grand plans that are poorly thought out and never work. She is frequently paired up with Archeops in B plots, where she fails her way through her latest idea while Archeops helpfully makes things worse.

Emolga is a rod puppet. There have been two versions of the Emolga puppet made. The second version has movable eyelids and is generally better quality. The old one still occasionally appears in skits as her slightly lopsided twin sister.

Elesa voices both of them, but Skyla or one of the twins has to puppet the "ugly twin" whenever both are in the same shot.

This has led to many jokes and light-hearted arguments as to whether Ingo or Emmet is the ugly twin. ("Ingo must be the ugly twin. He does not blink."/"Still salty about losing the staring contest, I see.") Skyla takes over just so they will stop.

Skyla mostly works backstage, running the lights. She occasionally helps out in other ways, but mostly she does the lights.

Skyla does have some characters, most notably Swanna, whose reoccurring gag is that she looks elegant and sophisticated but then she does something stupid like eating a tire to the tune of Flight Of The Bumblebee.

Elesa still does model work alongside puppeting. This comes as a suprise to her model fans and vice versa.

However, Elesa has started to lean more towards puppeteering as she gets older. She started out just popping into the workshop during her free time to lend her friends a hand, but these days it's her main job, with modeling becoming more of a side gig.

Ingo and Emmet are more behind the scenes guys than performers. They make the puppets. They really like anamatronics, but the show normally doesn't have the budget for that.

Emmet keeps building Joltik puppets. Everyone keeps telling him to please stop because they already have more than enough. But they are small, cheap, easy to make, and most importantly Emmet finds them delightful. So he keeps making more. He likes to hide them around the set.

The joltiks' appearance has changed over the years as Emmet has gotten better at making puppets. The earliest versions were just pom-poms with googly eyes stuck on.

The twins have gotten more involved with performing as time goes by. Ingo is more camera shy than Emmet is, and he usually sticks to "left handing" for Emmet.

Ingo also plays similar support roles for other performers. He puppets Chandlure, while Shauntal (script writer) voices her. He is the right claw of Clay's Excadrill. He also helps with Drayden's dragon puppets, many of which are huge and require 2 or more people to operate.

Haxorus was initially Drayden's character. But after an injury he was unable to operate Haxorus (a full-body walk around suit). The initial plan was for Ingo to wear the suit and have Drayden dub him in post. However, everyone thought Ingo did such a good job (including Drayden) that they kept his voice lines in and had Ingo keep playing Haxorus even after Drayden got better.

Part of the reason Drayden was okay with this is becuse Haxorus was too similar to his other characters and didn't really stand out: a serious and sarcastic 'straight man' for the other characters to bounce off of, generally fed-up with the rest of the cast's nonsense. Ingo brought some much needed bombasity to the role. Now Haxorus comedicly overreacts to being bothered by the other characters, often in violent ways that result in an earthquake (camera shakes and performers toss their puppets up in the air, higgledy-piggledy).

The other reason was that Drayden liked seeing his nephew being more confident on camera.

Ingo does not get a mic. He shouts through the suit. He's just that powerful. Also he broke the last one.

Ingo also voices and puppets Gliscor. Gliscor was a henchman to a minor antagonist, but he wasn't very good at it - cheering on the heros that came to stop him (he didn't want to be rude). Gliscor was a break out character - becoming a reoccurring presence becuse the fans liked him.

Emmet controls Gliscor's right claw.

As you are someone who has extensive knowledge of ancient mythology I must ask, who would your favourite muppet play in a muppet rendition of the Illiad and, seeing as you've posted alot of Egyptian mythology recently, what Egyptian god is your fav most like?

Oh my gods, a muppet version of the Iliad? My goodness. I'm torn between all the gods being played by muppets and all the leaders of the armies being played by muppets except for Achilles and Patroclus.

I think the best solution might actually be... okay. Kermit plays Menelaus and Miss Piggy plays Helen. Animal plays Diomedes, Gonzo plays Greater Ajax and the chicken is Lesser Ajax. The gods are all muppets but they're new muppets and all voiced by very serious actors. Paris is played by a human man that Miss Piggy Helen beats up regularly. idk who Fozzie Bear would play but he has to be there somewhere. Maybe he's Agamemnon. Maybe he gets to just be the worst for a while.

That explains a lot because the vibe kept giving me "warped puppet on PBS Kids" in his voice.

yesterday Joe was just insane. He is 4 and has always been a very social kid who needs playmates (unlike Alice, who's always been happy to do a lego set or read a book on her own) and he is just FERAL on these long snowy winter days. He was just so so crazy at dinner last night, doing bits and pretending to be animal from the muppets and also pretending to be fozzy bear and demanding a million snacks and trying to orchestrate a board game for adam and alice so he could referee (he did not want to play the game himself) and he was just INSANE and finally I used my serious voice and I told him he needed to calm down

A funny deer hand puppet: I just really like the idea of Luffy begging a literal hand puppet to join his crew.

Fozzy Bear: Chopper is a muppet that got lost in the wrong show.

Gregory Mann: He’s not as baby as he was in Del Toro’s Pinocchio, he’s v much fit to voice act Chopper imo. He’s shown he can portraying childlike wonder and innocence and a wild range of emotions through voice alone, which is probably what theyll be asking from him anyway. He’s fantastic. And adorable.

Christian Convery: I know he already plays young Sanji but there’s a precedent of young Sanji going on to play Chopper. Plus look at him in Sweet Tooth! He’s perfect!!

on that same thought track of pyro as beaker, engie is dr. bunsen honeydew, the concept of pyro being his lab buddy is something i've always loved and this plays directly into that concept. also honeydew would 100% do something like removing his own arm to give himself a mechanical prosthetic. they're both madlads is what i'm saying

i originally thought of sam eagle when considering soldier because america but no, aside from the america thing he's nothing like soldier. soldier is animal. what are you gonna do about it

look i dunno how to articulate how well sniper matches up with gonzo. they both dress like weird uncles, they're both lanky motherfuckers, they're both widely accepted by the transmasc community as "goals," they're just. you cannot fight me on this because i am not listening

i originally thought spy might be hard to place but then i remembered pepe the king prawn and i was like oh this is easy. scheming little bitch with a propensity for making innuendos. the only thing that doesn't match up here is that pepe has a really casual style of dress but if you put him in a suit then he's literally spy

oh shit i'm already at the last merc. uhm. man i'm honestly having trouble placing heavy, i think...just based on vibes alone i'd probably go with fozzie bear for him, he was my first thought because Obvious Bear Joke but then i thought more about it and i was like. yknow. fozzie's struggles to write jokes and just communicate in general kinda connects well with heavy's struggles to communicate in english as opposed to his native tongue of russian, like i feel like they're both guys who'd be understood a lot better if they just knew the right way to say something if that makes sense? i'm looking too deep into this though i'm sure most people will just be satisfied that i'm fulfilling the Obvious Bear Joke requirement lol

okay last one. i was originally frustrated that i couldn't pin anybody down as being kermit but then i had the brain blast that miss pauling would absolutely be kermit. they both serve the role of kinda being like the straight-man mediator that's also willing to participate in the shenanigans from time to time, like go listen to miss pauling's contract voice lines and tell me she doesn't fit that description

2. THEIR EMOTIONAL/MORAL WEAK SPOTS

hellfire & ice/sequel!eddie starts off as your garden variety drug dealer and progressively adds a couple more tools in his criminal belt as the years go on and honestly? doesn't really see that much of a boohoo about it. yes, it's what the world expects from all munsons, yes, it's bad bad work for bad bad men but eddie can't see himself working a straight job. ever. he's not equipped for it. and, he's made peace with the fact that he'll never be a rockstar (jk no the fuck he has not he's so bitter) so he's all, might as well make the wasted years i have on this stupid earth a little more interesting. he's got a little bit of a robin hood complex going on once we meet him in his late 20s.

clear cut!steve is also a criminal albeit the smoother kind, and kind of works off a similar thing of i've never been good at anything else, so this might as well be my career. except for steve, it's banking on how far he can get with that tireless, bottomless, all-consuming harrington charm. working in insurance, or whatever the fuck his father did, never quite scratched the itch of bold faced robbery that... well, robbery did. it's funny, though. steve's never had the aspirations towards grandeur that his fellow thieves have had, because he knows what it's like to grow up in a cushy rich household. steve's just doing it for the thrill of fooling everybody. and he is, by the way. fooling everybody. even you. remember that.

9. HUMILIATING MEMORIES

hellfire and ice!eddie, like.... do you mean his entire life up to this point and actually, beyond. he once got so unbelievably fucking stoned that he thought calling a phone sex line was a good idea but then once the sexy operator lady picked up, he got so freaked out that he could only talk in fozzie bear voice and he couldn't drop the bit for 20 minutes. fun conversation with wayne about that phone bill. he's also written so much bad poetry, so many embarrassing near-self insert stories (one of us, one of us) where he romances many a comely elfin lady. he once slipped one of these stories into chess club captain martha peterson's locker in freshman year as, like, an effort at wooing her but then he got pulled into the fucking guidance counselor's office because she said he was stalking him.

old hollywood!steve... again. regrets. humiliations. he has a few. one could be punching bela lugosi out after a stage production of dracula because he thought he was a real vampire (drunk). another could be punching out an extra on the set of the merry widow in 1925 because he was sniffing around mae murray, who steve was also sniffing around at the time (jilted). steve was replaced by 'that rodent-voiced bastard john gilbert' and the extra he clocked? none other than clark gable. among other embarrassments; not securing a finalized divorce from his first wife before he married his second (drunk), the time he fully pissed his pants when buster keaton played a prank on him during a seance (stoned), getting caught wailing for a second chance outside joan crawford's room at the garden of alla hotel (that woman was inside having lesbian sex).

18. THINGS THEY'LL NEVER ADMIT

old hollywood!eddie knows his entire career is based on fluke, but he's too embarrassed to nurture his real talent, which is writing. to be honest, he does stunts because he kind of has a death wish. not being able to express himself was killing him, but he was always too full of piss and vinegar and cowardice to kill himself. but now people see him, or what the studios have made of him, and it's glorious and horrifying and naked and fake and full of possibility that he's too scared to touch.

hellfire & ice/burning up & burning out!steve (moreso sequel relevant, but) has always thought lacy was a fucking weirdo honestly and blames lacy for nancy pulling away from him during his senior year, not like nancy becoming a person was a factor or anything... until they're older and steve and lacy grow increasingly fond of each other. he wishes he took the job that his dad laid out for him on a silver platter sometimes and married someone stable, like tina or whoever. steve's increasingly more anxious socially as he ages, knowing that most people see him as some kind of joke, but he has to put on the face and be the guy, whatever that means to him in 1994. he's terrified that he's built his life around constructs that are flimsy; being independent from his family, following a path when he's not sure of himself as a person, desperately trying to make the thing with nancy work when she's there because he's familiar and he's there because he's afraid.

Hey, everybody, guess what?!

Disney just announced that they're doing a new Muppets movie! A theatrical one, too!

No word yet as to what the plot will be, but we DO know that there'll be lots of meta humor - after all, it worked SOOOOOOOOO WELL in the Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers movie!

It's also been revealed that the film won't use puppetry at all. Instead, the Muppets will be CGI. But it'll be really good CGI that mimics puppetry - again, just like the Swedish Chef parody in the Chip and Dale movie. You won't be able to tell the difference!

But the film's biggest selling point is its star-studded voice cast. After all, movies NEED to have celebrities voicing the characters in order to be successful. Just look at how successful Strange World was. And Delgo. Yeah, that was a huge success, wasn't it? And yes, it's been confirmed that none of the celebrities will be making any sort of effort to actually sound like the characters. Nobody would be able to take the characters seriously if they had their usual voices for a full movie, right?
