__________________________________________________
Moving to a new town was always stressful for you and your owner, Wonwoo. However this time when you moved, you’d found a new friend named Seungkwan who was also a bunny hybrid who lived next door with his owner, Mingyu. The two of you had hit it off immediately, spending every day with each other since. It’d been about 3 weeks since you had first met, Mingyu and Wonwoo suggesting a weekend camping trip so that the two of you could do some bonding.
You woke up excited, quickly packing your bags and tugging Wonwoo out of the door to meet Seungkwan and Mingyu. Although halfway through the car ride, you had suddenly started to feel weird, an unsettling feeling in the pit of your stomach as you quieted down. “Hey, are you okay?” You turn to Seungkwan, a concerned look on his face. “Yeah, I think I just got a ‘lil carsick that’s all!” You force a smile, leaning your head on his shoulder to take a nap and hopefully settle the weird feeling you’d been having.
When you wake up from your nap, the feelings have only intensified. Panic settles in when you realize your heat is way too early and you automatically know that Seungkwan also knows. Your eyes flit to the front seat where Wonwoo and Mingyu are conversing, biting the inside of your cheek if you should say something. If you do, Wonwoo will just take you home and you’d miss out on the camping trip, but if you stayed, you weren’t sure how you’d handle yourself. You had heat partners before, but this was a new town and you didn’t want to force Seungkwan to help you all of a sudden.
“Hey.” Seungkwan’s voice is shaky, his palms clammy in his lap. “I know you’re awake and I can smell you.” It’s a hushed whisper against your hair as you squirm next to him. “ ‘m sorry, I didn’t...didn’t k-know, it’s early and--” Seungkwan cuts you off, “Let me help you a little. There’s still about a hour before we get to the camp grounds, it’ll be hard for you to sit still.” You whimper quietly, nodding. He grabs a blanket and lays it over your laps, “Pretend you’re still sleeping.” Sliding your eyes shut, you feel his palm on your thigh, sliding your sundress higher and higher until he’s rubbing you over your panties.
Seungkwan wastes no more time, pushing your panties to the side as he runs his fingers through your folds, gathering your wetness and spreading it all over. You bite your lip, trying to not make any noise and alert the two in the front. “Stop teasing me so much…” You whisper against his shoulder. He takes mercy, gently inserting a finger into you as his thumb rubs your clit. Seungkwan fingers you under the blanket as quietly as he can, feeling you trying to ride his palm. You thank the loud music playing from the front seat. You cum quickly, a choked sob accidentally falling from your lips as Wonwoo turns around to see why you made the noise.
Seungkwan’s quick to reply, tugging the blanket further up onto your body with his other hand.
“Oh, she must be having a bad dream.”
Since arriving to the camp grounds, you had pulled Seungkwan aside at least 4 other times, begging him to fuck you in various places around the area. He had fucked you pressed up against the sink in the restrooms, ate you out by the lake, fucked you behind some trees and then fingered you by the fire. How Mingyu and Wonwoo didn’t notice the two of you disappearing so often was beyond you.
When night came, you begged Wonwoo and Mingyu to let you and Seungkwan sleep in the same tent, telling them that you just wanted to bond with your friend. They had let you, moving your things around as you gave Seungkwan a cheeky look. You were already wet underneath your sundress and panties, and you had been all day. Seungkwan fucking you all the other times had kept you sane for a few hours before you were needing him again.
When Wonwoo and Mingyu had retired to their tent for the night, you had dragged Seungkwan into your shared tent, quickly zipping it up and stripping yourself naked. Not even waiting for Seungkwan to get undressed, you pushed him down, straddling his waist as you frantically worked on getting his pants off. “We’ve been at it like rabbits, how are you still horny!?” Seungkwan scream-whispers. You pout down at him, palming him through his underwear. “B-but you know it’s my heat, ‘Kwannie, I really need you…” He blushes; he’s hard too, his body completely in sync with yours.
You end up riding Seungkwan’s cock like that, not even bothering to completely undress him as you pull him out enough so that you could line him up to your entrance and sink down on him. He lets you use him to your liking, putting your needs before his as his fingers caress your waist. But your moans get louder and louder, your hands roaming your body as you pinch your nipples, rolling the buds between your fingertips. “H-hey, you need to quiet d-down, they m-might hear you…” You whine, but Seungkwan’s right.
Biting your lip, you try to tone down the noises to the best of your ability but it just feels too good and your body is just too sensitive. “Do you think they can hear us through the tent?” You whisper to Seungkwan.
“Yes we can.” It’s Wonwoo’s voice and you can hear the concern lacing it. But you don’t stop bouncing in Seungkwan’s lap, letting your moans spill freely now knowing that they already knew what the two of you were doing. “S--Seungkwan, I can’t, I need to cum again, please, please, ah, cum inside me, I wanna f-feel you cum inside me!” Seungkwan can’t believe how filthy your mouth gets but it spurs him on, placing his feet flat on the ground before thrusting up into you.
He reaches a hand down, playing with your clit as he thrusts harder, hitting your sweet spot over and over. Seungkwan cums first, spilling inside of you as he holds you down onto him. He rubs your clit harder, coaxing you into your orgasm as you cum, his name leaving your lips freely and loudly.
When you both come down from your highs, you fall over into Seungkwan’s chest, the breath being knocked out of him. He’s still inside of you, keeping his cum from dribbling out as he pulls you closer, scenting you as you nuzzle into his touch.
What you don’t expect is the sudden sound of the other tent unzipping, your fists balling up into his sweaty shirt. “Seungkwan, do you think we’re in trouble?”
He gulps, his eyes on the two figures outside of the tent. “P-probably not?”

P O W E R S
when it comes to her powers, the strongest that shiloh has come to obtain would be hypnokinesis , though she tries not to take advantage of it too much. trying be the key word there, because there’s something so entrancing about living in somewhat of a dream like world, which is usually what she likes to use the power for. it first started out with delving into a fantasy land, a place for her to escape to and get lost in, and slowly she found herself falling deeper and deeper into her own rabbit hole. even as a young lady, she’d always heard people refer to her as their “dream girl” and once she realized she had the ability to somewhat make some dreams come true, she couldn’t help but sink into her title. once she got the hang of it, she couldn’t help but use it to her advantage here and there, if she had a crush on somebody she would appear in their dreams more and more. a sucker for romance, it was basically how she swayed her suitors, although sometimes it was for nothing whenever she realized it was all fantasy and never reality. still, living in dream worlds was too delicious not to become wrapped up in, that it became something she mastered perfectly. whether it was astral projecting herself into other settings while she was sleeping, or into other dreams, it seemed shiloh was entirely infatuated with living in her own little dream worlds. although, something that came hand in hand with dreams were nightmares, an area that shiloh hated getting stuck in.
something that she is wanting to dip her toes into more, would be her shapeshifting abilities. the blonde has only been able to do such in a limited ability, only recently being able to do so whenever she is fully awake. it’s uncomfortable, sure, but there’s something so mesmerizing about taking on the form of something else….or better yet someone else. often there’s many eyes on her, so being able to blend into a background and garner less attention is a rush of relief for her.
the girl has also always excelled in the levitation ability aspect of her life, shiloh has always been rather light on her feet, it was almost as if she was always floating. almost a picture of grace, it brought her face to face with something she adored at a rather early age: dancing. enrolled in classes from the age of 8, shiloh practically could float across a dance floor with elegance, something she now contributes to her levitation aspect of her powers.
P E R S O N A L I T Y
with wide eyes and a soft smile, shiloh had always been rather quiet yet somehow still garnered the attention in a room. she wasn’t the type of girl to command it though, often keeping to herself, there was something magnetic and glowy about her that made her fall into the social hierarchy without really trying to. the blonde had always prided herself on being a good friend to those around her, even if they never gave her the same respect back, and soon realized that she was becoming a doormat to those around her. she kept everyone’s secrets, harboring them inside her like a vessel and remembering the little things others might have even forgotten they’d told her. soon enough, shiloh had realized she had enough dirt and ammo on those around her that if they ever did cross her, she’d use against them if need be. but luckily, thus far, the girl never had to shoot her shot to the heart just yet. a part of her always wondered if she had the guts to do it anyways, to cross those who she’d held nearest and dearest, or if she’d end up chickening out from the fear of hurting them too much. a never ending battle of right and wrong within her, she often finds herself torn and defeated by the end of the day. it makes her almost come off as flaky and aloof, although her intentions are typically anything but pure, her own overthinking tends to be her downfall. never letting anyone close enough to pick her brain, she is a beautiful mystery with expectations that had always been built upon her back. to be perfect, to be a vision of grace and poise, but sometimes she just wants to let loose and say fuck it to everything that had ever been expected of her and prove that she’s anything but a delicate flower. she has thorns that she’s never shown, and she fears if anyone gets to close, she’ll draw blood without warning.
EXTRA THINGS LOL
shiloh is on the dance team, obviously, the girl lives for dancing and when she’s not dancing....she’s probably napping.
also she has a job at the eonia theater as a cashier, so you’ll see her little sleepy self behind the counter and sometimes sneaking into the show to sleep in the back.
her mother was the type to live vicariously through her, always putting pressure on her to be “perfect” and put together. there was even a time in her younger years whenever her mother would put her into pageants, which shiloh absolutely hated, it was too much energy towards something she hated which ultimately left her feeling even more drained than normal. in fact, any pictures remaining of that time in her life are privately stored away and she refuses to revisit that memory which she even went lengths to alter from people’s brains whenever she figured out she had that ability.
the only good thing that she found from pageants was her love of dance, something that shiloh has passionately pursued all her life. she was enrolled in ballet mostly but soon fell in love with contemporary dance, and it was something that satisfied her mother, a win-win.
even though she was accepted as someone that was a part of the “in-crowd” in high school, celeste suffers from social anxiety, instead of hanging out at parties she often finds herself slipping away and disappearing. she’s much more of a homebody than someone who enjoys going out, being peer pressured is something she often falls victim to because she’s afraid of coming off as flaky, although she tends to do so anyways due to her disappearing acts.
the relationship she has with her mother is strained, because while she loves her mom, the constant pressure to “perform” and the way her mother sort of pushed her and talked so highly of her has her nervous to disappoint those around her. she constantly feels as if she has to be some sort of social butterfly, when the idea of getting close to people terrifies her, leaving her in a never-ending cycle of what she SHOULD be and what she WANTS to be.
speaking of relationships, most of celeste’s tend to fizzle out quickly once her partners discover she’s not all that they dreamt her up to be. it could be her fault, inserting herself into people’s dreams to learn more about them, that most of her relationships die out after the honeymoon phase...making her fear commitment all together.
she’s a pisces, because....well, obviously.
shiloh is bisexual, although she is a little nervous about dating women seeing as her mother wouldn’t quite understand, most of her public relationships have been exclusively with men due to her fear of disappointing her mother.

this also depends on my mood, at speediest maybe 5 mins ! at longest maybe an hour ~ but only bc i’m staring at my phone or smth instead of actually getting ready
do you talk to yourself?
hhh yes and that’s bc it’s sometimes easier for me to vocalize thoughts than let them swirl in a confusing mess in my head, hard to sort through sometimes
do you sing to yourself?
yea ! choir kid things
are you a good singer?
hmm depends on ? your definition ... i have a good ear for pitch matching but that’s probably it ^^ (i have a small little byr cover on this blog too prob not that hard to find if people were curious but ://)

how many piercings do you have?
just the two ^^

it’s a dark brown so dark it’s almost black around my roots but a lighter brown for the rest bc i dyed it ^^ i plan to redye it a reddish brown soon tho !
what color are your eyes?
dark brown as well ~
what makes you angry?
something jacob mentioned once i forget his exact wording but i have a lot of patience actually so rather than being angry it’s a bit more frustration, mostly at myself when smth i worked on really hard doesn’t work out, but also bc i constantly overthink and consider other people’s feelings it upsets me when other people are dismissive or plainly ignorant of the feelings of those around them... and also esp when people are unaware of how to deal with their own negative feelings so they take it out on others when they shouldn’t
do you like your own name?
not ? particularly ... tbh jess is not my full name but even so my name doesn’t really have any meaning of anything so it’s just :// a name i guess,,, i like it when people call me by name tho in the tags <333 lmao

Answer 1 through 50
Okay. You called my bluff. (ok not really a bluff, tbh, thank you I appreciate you) Unfortunately, we're having an internet outage where I live, so this is gonna take a while. Also, I have to do this on the webpage, on my phone, cause otherwise I can't have an 'under the cut.'
1. Do you have a crush on anyone?
I suppose you could call it a crush. That's one layer to how I feel. Like an onion :p
2. What's your favorite candy?
Ferror Roche, or however you spell it, Unless it's a holiday, then I Love those chocolate covered marshmallow treats.
3. Favorite love song?
I don't really listen to music much, tbh, love songs included. The first one to come to mind is "Love Story" by Taylor Swift. My favorite when I actually think about it has to be "You Are My Sunshine" by Johnny Cash.
4. What was your first kiss like?
My first kiss. I had my first kiss last year, actually, at the same age I am now, 22. That was my first date, too, such as it was during a pandemic. I hadn't -still haven't, I guess- had many 'first's.' It was awkward, but nice. Chaste, to start.
5. What was your last kiss like?
My last kiss, was a goodbye.
6. Sexual/romantic orientation?
I'm reasonably sure I'm straight, heteroromantic. I've questioned all my orientations several times over the years, but nothing seems to fit as well as that does.
7. Do you prefer poems or love letters?
I would be over the moon to get either. I've written a few poems, though they weren't For anyone. I would prefer love letters, though. Poems can wax and wain to the individuals interpretation, but love letters can declare for all to see.
8. Favorite fanfic trope?
God, I'm Super self-indulgent with my fanfic. I love Mary Sue's, fix-it, time travel, amnesia, self-insert. I want everything to be okay, and for the main character to be able to have at least some idea of what challenges they'll face.
9. Have you ever been in love?
Have been, still am.
10. Favorite milkshake flavor?
Strawberry. Also favorite ice cream flavor. Chocolate's fine, but strawberry Hagen Daaz is The Best. (tbh it's also a sorta reference to my fav character/anime, Ryougi Shiki from Kara no Kyoukai. It's also just damn good ice cream tho
11. Dinner dates or Brunch dates?
Dinner dates could be a great end to the day, but brunch date leaves the possibility for a full day together to look forward to, so I'll go with that.
12. Favorite flowers?
Sunflowers. Though lilacs are nice too.
13. Favorite perfume/cologne?
I've used a vanilla sugar scent in the past? Don't use or have others use it enough to have a favorite.
14. Favorite candle scent?
I got a pack of incense a while back, a dozen different scents. I think my favorite is called Celestial. It's smells like... lavender and petrichor and stardust, I suppose.
15. What's your ideal first date?
Ideal, so everything's perfect. Hiking in the woods, a mountainous area, lots of ups and downs and winding paths and beautiful colors and views. We come to a clearing, and a picnic I've prearranged is already set up next to a glittering lake. We sit, and eat, and talk.
16. What's your favorite love story?
Just the other day, I was finally able to watch The Princess Bride. I absolutely loved it.
17. What's the most attractive thing a person could wear?
Easy. One of my shirts, and that's all that's visible. Could they be wearing something underneath it? Maybe. But you can't be sure, unless they show you one way or another  It's a sort of, are they aren't they thing. That said, it works for just about anything where you can't tell if they're wearing short shorts or something, but it works best if it's something more casual than a dress, like a oversized hoodie or shirt.
18. Chocolate, vanilla, or red velvet?
Chocolate. Vanillas alright, red velvets gross.
19. Snow, rain, or sun?
God, we just got snow here that Actually Lasted All Day. That's a miracle tbh. I absolutely love it.
20. Sweetest romantic memory?
We were swinging at the local park, just talking. And I looked over, and the sun was shining through the trees onto the face of an angel. I could have spent eternity in that moment.
21. Favorite dating sim? (And favorite character?)
The only dating sims I know are yandere dating sim, and hautiful boyfriend. Favorite character in general is Ryougi Shiki
22. Fictional crushes?
...Ryougi Shiki...
23. What's your dream wedding like?
It's a small affair, outside, in our backyard on our plant of land, amongst the orchards and vegetable gardens. There's a living arch made of roses I've been growing in secret in preparation, and the bride's bouquet is made from cuttings we took on the spot. The sun is shining, everyone's full of joy, and our love is sure.
24. What makes you blush?
Sincere expressions of love, or even just Being Known. If you say you care for me I Will Melt and that is a Threat.
25. Do you believe in love at first sight?
I have to. I can't disregard my own experiences. That said, it's important to say that love is also something you work towards, together, day in and day out. It's not always hard work, it might not even seem like work, but it's an active thing.
26. Do you believe in soulmates?
I think there are several people you can meet over the course of your life you can call a soulmate.
27. Denim jackets, leather jackets, or bomber jackets?
Leather jackets cause I live in Texas. Otherwise, bomber jackets.
28. What's your sign?
Taurus. Lmk if you want my complete chart from that star app.
29. Are you single?
Unfortunately.
30. Do you prefer to charm, or be charmed?
I think I'm quite charming, I'd definitely say I'm in touch with people, though my execution probably leaves something to be desired. That said, I Love to be charmed. Tell me you like me, tell me I'm wanted. Hell yeah.
31. Guitar or piano?
Piano. Love the classics. I was actually looking at how much pan flutes cost just the other day.
32. Favorite romcom? (Or any romantic movie?)
Once again going with The Princess Bride here.
33. Do you fall in love easily?
Far too easily, I'm afraid. Show your interest in me, and you'll catch mine in you. Doesn't happen very often, though. And if it's just something like a dating profile, I'm far pickier.
34. Valentine's decorations, yay or nay?
If it's something personal, absolutely. As long as it has meaning, it's worth it. Even if the holiday itself is just to sell cards.
35. Would you like to propose, or be proposed to? What's your dream proposal?
I would propose, after it's been made mutually clear and discussed we're both up for it. As a kid I dreamed about proposing on one of those boat rides under Niagara Falls. Now, I think it'd be during a hike, on an overlooking cliff, basically like my ideal first date, actually. That, or somewhere personal to the two of us.
36. Cloud gazing or star gazing?
Star gazing, definitely. Out under the stars, looking up and sneaking glances at each other. Telling stories and making up constellations. What's not to love?
37. Do you like to dance?
Oooh, no. I've never danced, not really the social dancing type. Never really took the opportunity too.
38. What's your OTP?
....Ryougi Shiki and Mikiya Kokuto
39. Kittens or puppies?
You're gonna make me CHOOSE?! ...puppies, because they're more lively and willing to interact with me, generally speaking.
40. Coffee, hot chocolate, or tea?

50. What's your dreamhouse?
It's in a mountainous area. On at least 5 acres. Plenty of woods with trails in them, bordering a national park. On my land, there's an orchard of fruit trees, and greenhouses with herbs and vegetables. The house itself is actually japanese inspired. There's an outdoor garden you can access after coming through the entrance. The bedroom door is a sliding one, through a shortened circular opening. The whole thing gives off a cozy feeling. The love of my life has made their presence known in every room of the house.

Let’s talk about casual homophobia.
I wanted to share a transcript of a TikTok video by a minor celebrity (I won't do them the honour of identifying them, but suffice it to say that this individual thrives mostly on controversy and poor publicity), to demonstrate what day-to-day homophobic language looks like. Many of these questions have been asked to me, or tell of real things that I've experienced, due to a generally callous view of queer folks. The quoted parts are the actual video, the unquoted responses mine.
Note in advance that some of these questions are clearly oriented towards gay men, but I am responding from the perspective of a bisexual man. Anyway...
"Okay, these are my questions for the gays – sorry, I was on Straight TikTok for a minute; what?"
Or, as you might like to call it, TikTok. For those unfamiliar, "Gay TikTok" is a small subset of the TikTok community that makes videos primarily revolving around in-jokes and shared experiences of the queer community. Thus, "Straight TikTok" is only extant in contrast, a joking reference to certain, overwhelmingly heteronormative parts of the TikTok community. While I'm not a big fan of the idea of 'ownership' or deciding who's allowed to say what, this (obnoxiously straight, in every sense of the word 'obnoxious') celebrity is trying somewhat unceremoniously to insert themselves into a narrative not their own here. Not off to a great start.
(1) "Would you care if your partner was bisexual?"
Whelp, this is one I can't really answer, can I? But, this still does lean into the old "gold-star" ideology of homosexuality, which makes it off-putting from the jump. For those unfamiliar, a "gold star" gay/lesbian is one who has never had sex with the opposite gender. This is a completely silly distinction, that fails to take into account personal circumstances, as well as – y'know – the fluid nature of human sexuality. TL;DR, even if you're exclusively into one gender, you shouldn't care about your partner's sexual orientation (other than, y'know, making sure it includes your gender) because, leaving aside the absolutely rad underworld of polyamory, they're only going to be into you while they're with you.
(2) "Have you ever been with someone of the opposite gender?"
Ah, more gold-starring! A great way to start. "You're trans? What's your deadname?"
(3) "Do you take offence when a girl calls you her Gay Best Friend?"
The Gay Best Friend is an expendable, non-threatening fount of femininity in masculine form, someone to go clothes-shopping with and who will give you sassy advice on boys. God forbid, however, that the Gay Best Friend try to be vulnerable with you about the difficulties of LGBTQIA+ life; they're only there for sashaying and making out with at parties, right? The Gay Best Friend is an incredibly harmful notion to men on both sides of the sexuality spectrum. Gay (and ESPECIALLY bi/pan/poly) men already know to fear the label, because of the dismissive treatment and expectation of performative homosexuality that comes along with it. Straight men should fight against it, too, because it's a symptom of the present hegemony of heterosexual relationships, which revolves around sexual transactionalism and a healthy dose of gender-role-fuelled intimidation[1]. (If you've never heard any of those words, you're probably the target audience here.)
(4) "Be honest – how many times has a straight person tried to hook you up with a gay person based solely on the fact that they're gay and no other compatibility requirements?" (with a devilish smile, into full blown "oh guuuuuurl" laughter)
This is a real thing that happens to people, myself included, all too frequently. It tells us that when you look at me, you don't think "Oliver", you think "Gay", and next time you meet another gay guy, that's the word ringing through your head. It's not funny. It's hurtful. If you're going to recommend a partner to me, make sure you actually have faith in a connection forming. As someone who ended up in an abusive relationship as a result of overzealous matchmaking, it's not something to be taken lightly; relationships, especially gay relationships and all the societal friction they inevitably entail, are not here for your endearment.
(5) "Are you down to hook up with someone who's 'just curious'?"
MORE gold-starring! God, could you imagine the uproar if a lesbian approached a straight person and said that they "missed dick" and/or wanted to experiment!? Oh, wait, that's already common in straight porn to the point of cliché. Gag; and not the good kind of gag.
(6) "Do you proudly wear the rainbow flag, or are you kinda against it because it kinda segregates?"
...what? When I first found this video, it was being duetted (TikTok's side-by-side video response) by a queer person, and at this point they took the opportunity to say, "I don't like you." I echo the sentiment.
(7) "Are you a 'yaaaaaas kweeeeen' gay or are you, like, 'fuck that shit what the fuck?'"
WE ARE NOT HERE TO PERFORM QUEERNESS FOR YOU. Leaving aside the sociolinguistic aspects of queer language and its intersection with (read: theft from) African-American Vernacular English, if people want to act flamboyantly gay, THAT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. If people want to act "normal" (read: heteronormatively!!!), that's NONE OF YOUR GOD DAMN BUSINESS. Queer people are fucking people, they act differently in different scenarios, and it's not for you to fetishize or to find "too much sometimes". When you accept a queer person into your life, you're accepting every facet of them into your life, for them to live and love unapologetically – not just the parts you find entertaining.
(8) "This might be a dealbreaker for me: do you like musical theatre?"
Yes. But even if I didn't – if I liked drinking beer and watching Nascar (sorry dad), but wish I had a boyfriend to do that with, guess what? That's my own fucking business. And, again, if your idea of a "dealbreaker" when engaging with a gay person is whether or not they like musical theatre – probably one of the most tired stereotypes about gay folks – and not, I dunno, if they're fun to be around and respect your boundaries and opinions, then maybe you're not looking for a gay friend for the right reason.
(9) "Be honest – do you still go through the Chick-Fil-A drivethrough and get that spicy chicken sandwich or those nuggies?" (big, face-scrunching smile.)
This is the one that REALLY got me. This displays just how tone-deaf this person is and how deeply they've objectified the concept of homosexuality for themselves. Chick-Fil-A is a massively homophobic organization from the top down, and they donate millions to organizations that want to bring into question my very right to exist, morally and legally.
As a straight person not affected by these issues, it's easy to say "well, I know I /shouldn't/ go to Chick-Fil-A because of the 'gay stuff', but oh IT'S SOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOD!". It's easy to momentarily forget one's morality because hey, it's not like you're directly hurting anyone, right? But, as a queer person who has to walk by the brand-new Chick-Fil-A at Yonge and Bloor every day on my walk to class, seeing the lines wrapping around the block lets me take direct measure of who, and how many, are willing to forget about me for just long enough to enjoy a fucking chicken sandwich. Go literally anywhere else. Eating at Chick-Fil-A is a choice, and it's a choice that informs me that you care less about my right to live than your own personal enjoyment.
(10) "Do you get upset when they have straight actors portray gay characters?"
This is a whole other debate, so I'm not going to get into the actual subject matter of this question. But hey – maybe, in an industry literally overrun with queer people, maybe we can stop converting a significant and pernicious problem in entertainment into a cutesy debate topic? Something really tells me that this person isn't going to start whipping out the intersectional feminist literature to explain their argument here. In all likelihood, it'll sound more along the lines of "but Eddie Redmayne looked so GOOD in that dress!"
(11) "And what's the GAYEST thing about you?'
Nope. Shut up and choke. I hate you.
Never tell me for a second that homophobia is "over" in Canada/the West/wherever. Never tell me that it's a distant issue, remaining only in far-off religious backwaters. This is what it can look like. Fetishization; dismissal; turning struggles for human dignity into pseudo-intellectual debates.
I'm not here to be your Gay Best Friend.
I'm not here to date your new gay acquaintance.
I'm not here to repeatedly explain to you my need to have rights.
I'm here for the same reasons you are.
I want to live and love, not to be treated like a toy.
Footnotes
[1] Okay, I'm obviously not saying that all straight relationships are built around sexual transactionalism and intimidation, nor am I saying that non-comphet relationships are not. But, in my experience as a reformed Gay Best Friend who has had to provide counsel to cishet friends over some INFURIATINGLY stupid relationship/courting issues, I would argue that a full ninety percent of them could be resolved if the experiencer simply viewed their partner/interlocutor/'tyng' as another human being, rather than being from the mysterious species that is The Opposite Gender.

THANK U BUDDY X’D
questions are from here!
under the cut bc kind of long
2: Have you ever been deeply in love?
I don’t think so?? I don’t think I’ve known any of my crushes well enough to be ‘deeply’ in love. I always have a deep affection and care for them, though. also I have trust issues and try to stay as detached as possible until I’m 101% positive I can trust somebody aaaahhHHHhHHHHH
4: Have you ever changed for someone?
Yep. Never fucking doing that again lmao that’s a one-way ticket to Unhappinessville
6: Have you ever been cheated on?
No and if I ever was I would probably die XD
8: Would you date someone who’s well known for cheating?
LMAO NOPE NOPE NOPE FUCK THAT X’D
10: Do you like to be in serious relationships or just flings?
I honestly don’t know. As long as the flings and comfortable and nobody expects much and there’s clear boundaries and/or if it’s just like a friends-with-benefits kind of thing, I’d be okay with it. But I think overall I need the security of a stable relationship.
12: How many people have you ever hooked up with?
pffft no-one yet I may or may not have plans to hook up with a friend sometime tho :P
14: What age do you think is appropriate for kids to start having sex?
ehhhhhh I don’t know. 16 maybe?? As long as it’s in-between minors and there’s no older parties involved and as long as they’re safe……. honestly I don’t really know. It’s a tricky topic. :////
16: Do you believe in “love at first sight”?
Not really. Love comes from knowing someone, you can’t know someone from first sight. Attraction is definitely there, though.
18: What do you consider a deal breaker?
For a serious relationship: abusive/yells when they’re angry/addicted to drugs or alcohol/keeps secrets or lies or otherwise doesn’t communicate in a healthy open way/has cheated in past relationships/smokes (I’m asthmatic and could literally die from the smoke.)
20: Are you currently in a relationship?
Nope and I’m kind of a mess at the moment and don’t really know if having one is a good idea…?? Also bc I’m crushing on someone I can’t seen anyone else Like That so :’) single bean
22: Do you think people should date their friends?
The best piece of advice I have ever been given to do with relationships is “if your romantic partner isn’t also one of your best friends, your relationship will not last.”
24: Do you think love can last forever?
Yes. It might waver and it might not be perfect, but if you truly care about someone, it can outlast everything.
26: Would you break up with someone your parents didn’t approve of?
I trust my parents’ judgement so I’d definitely take it into account and keep my eyes open, but I’d rather come to my own conclusion in the end.
28: Do you think long distance relationships can work?
Hmmmmm…. I really don’t know. I think they can definitely add a shit-ton of challenges and it can strain things a lot. Short-term, yes. Long-term… maybe not.
30: Are you straight, bi, gay or pansexual?
Bisexual but technically pansexual by Tumblr definition .-.
32: Have you ever been in an abusive relationship?
Yup. 2 now. Yaaay.
34: What do you think about getting your partner’s name tattooed?
LMAO NOPE BAD IDEA VERY BAD IDEA MAYBE I’M CYNICAL BUT NOPE. If you’re going to get couple’s tattoos, make it a symbol or a quote or something, not a name. Even if you do never split up, I still think it’s weird. XD
36: Are you still a virgin?
I’m the most virginly virgin to ever virgin. Never even kissed someone. Never even had a boyfriend/girlfriend/datemate. [insert sad violin music here] X’D
38: Do you enjoy love films?
Meh. I find them mostly repetitive and boring.
40: Have you ever had a valentine?
I JUST GOT MY FIRST ONE THIS MORNING GOD BLESS THAT ANON!! X’D
42: Have you ever read “Romeo & Juliet”?
Nope.
44: Would you consider yourself “romantic”?
I never used to but I think I am a bit now pfffft. I like the idea of doing nice things for my significant other n makin them feel special and loved and all that. :’)
46: Have you ever been “friendzoned”?
Yes and I don’t give a shit bc it’s NOT my crushes’ faults that they didn’t feel the same way and they’re wonderful people I respect and I was (and am) very very lucky and happy to be friends with them.
48: What’s your favorite love song?
Umm… off the top of my head: You by Keaton Henson
50: If you’re single, why do you think you are?
I’m annoying and weird and not ready for a relationship lmao
52: Are you good at giving other people advices regarding dating/ relationships?
I TRY BUT PLEASE NEVER TAKE MY ADVICE SERIOUSLY BECAUSE I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I’M DOING OKAY
54: How important is it to make a relationship official (p.e. on facebook)?
It’s not, at least not to me. I’ll tell my family and friends but not much else. If it matters to another person, though, then that’s fine.
56: Have you ever “destroyed” a relationship?
Never a romantic one and never intentionally.
58: Are you the “dominant” or the “submissive” part in a relationship?
lmao I can be whatever you want me to be, baby 😏😂
60: What’s your opinion on open relationships?
As long as everyone’s open and honest, cool beans. Personally I don’t think I could be in one, though.
62: How do you define “cheating”?
I normally go by the rule: “if you feel the need to lie to your partner about what you’re doing or hide it from them, or if you wouldn’t do what you’re doing with your partner there, it’s cheating.” Also just… don’t go on dates or kiss someone else or have sex with someone else… and if you know you’re developing feelings for someone else at least have the decency to tell your partner and either break up with them or find a way to deal with it like an adult, don’t go around behind someone’s back for God’s sake. (I have very strong feelings about cheating, can you tell.)
64: Do you think Valentine’s Day is overrated?
I think it can be wayy to steeped in commercialism, but if somebody wants to have a nice romantic special day with their partner, that’s great!

September!!! and 3/3 passed!!!
hiya guys, gals, and pals! wherever you are i hope you're happy, healthy, and loved :D
i'm here for an update and yes, yes, i know this is a very late/mid of the month September update but i purposely held back an update just so i can deliver all the good news in one post! hehehe
so first up, on September 9th i finished ALL of my requirements! yes, the root canal treatment and the fixed partial prosthetics! i remember when me and Vanesha (the best partner ever we all know that, right) greeted goodbye to our patient after inserting his 'new' teeth in, we literally collapsed on the floor of the negative room clinic, still in full third level PPE, just hugging each other in silence T___T so overwhelmed with feels, our hard work and clinical journey since May 2019 finally ended that day in September 2021... all those sweat, blood, tears we exerted to make it all to this very day... our very last patient, very last case, very last negative room clinic schedule, very last requirement. i can't believe we did it. WE DID IT!!!!!
today, September 13th i finally got the result of my Oral Surgery exam: i passed!!! this marks 13/14 departments exams i've passed... i'm so proud of myself, i still remember the old days of me wondering will i ever survive the clinical years aka the jungle of dental med school, but here i am now, so close to finishing everything T____T i can't upload a memento here since my prof announced it verbally, but i remember i was shaking so much when she said i passed with good scores :,) as always super grateful to be able to pass this exam in my first shot, though still sad seeing lots of my friends didn't pass in one go and have to redo it all over again :(
so now i'm left with Prosthodontics exam (the September exam period is somehow pushed back to undefined dates) but i'm readying myself for it already. also for November, if it's truly my time, i'll go for the national dentist competency exam. i'm gonna say this again and again, but it feels surreal to be in this position i am right now. maybe for you my dear readers it's not that relatable, but if you were in my shoes you'd understand haha it's really a battle to be right here. i talked with my mum and dad about me as in me since elementary school until now, looking back at all the decisions we made that lead to this very moment. i used to frown at the way my parents brought me up, but as i grow older and felt the harsh jagged lines of reality, the life lessons they taught became the very foundations of my successes today.
the hardships i went, the perseverance i had... i mean even for the last two requirements it didn't go that smooth haha for my root canal treatment i had to do THREE visits instead of two, because unexpectedly my assistant fainted midway of the treatment!? how in the world is that even happening—her N95 mask was too tight so she had a brief case of hypoxia, lack of oxygen concentration in the brain—but i mean it's such a rare case that no one saw it coming :,) but i learned a lot from that, got to be supervised by a very meticulous yet caring professor on my third visit. for the fixed partial prosthetics, me and Vanesha, at first we were SO hopeless, because our assigned professor didn't even bother to reply to our messages!? T___T but then miracle happened: after numerous Tahajood 'appointments' she somehow replied to my message, i confided in her how we really need to finish our last requirement, and she decided to help us by speeding up the treatment plan into just two visits (normally three to five)! but that's not even the only drama, we somehow mistook a step in the treatment that almost got us starting all over again but thank God we managed to salvage and averted the crisis T___T so here we are now, done with the reqs. Alhamdulillah...
this is quite funny in a way but: i applied to be an associate assistant for my profs in Oral Pathology department and i got accepted HEHEHE i know it's super late because i'm already at my last year but i'm super happy i got to interact with 3rd semester pre-clinical students, supervising their exams and grading their assignments. i also get paid :P that's the major motivation on taking the job tbh hahaha i love my life rn
i got my 3rd vax shot, a booster one, and it’s Moderna! i’m fine 7 hours after the injection but at night i got high fever huhu it went up until 39,2 C i was so worried! then i took a high concentrated paracetamol and it died down after two days :,) though it left me with no appetite, severe headache, and nausea... but i’m fine now! all of you please get vaxxed NOW and keep everyone safe ok ;)
more on the fun stuff: so Cristiano Ronaldo is back as a Manchester United player and last week we won 4-1 to Newcastle!!! what a scene... in tennis, for the US Open 2021 we have a major upset? turmoil? but the champions are the new pals, so proud of Emma Raducanu, she brought it home!!!
ALSO, it's 32 DAYS to coldplay's new album Music of the Spheres out on October 15th!!! today they just announced the collaboration with BTS! i'm so happy this is gonna be super big, everyone's gonna love it! it's gonna be a new hit song i'm sure.
ALSO LAST BUT NOT LEAST: tomorrow is September 14th aka MY DAD'S BDAY!!!!!!!! we're still unsure what to surprise him with but we'll make do on the spot lol the most important thing is i'm super grateful the families get to be together for the special day.
anyways, Rich Brian did most of the Shang-chi soundtracks and all are absolute FIRE so now Run It is my anthem. though of course Earth, Wind and Fire's September is an absolute legendary classic!!! since September brought so much happiness and i can't wait for even more to come. bring it on!!!

Discourse of Friday, 07 May 2021
Section more rewarding and enjoyable. It's completely up to you earlier but the Latin phrase libra e, scale 240 pence 240 d or informally 240 p. Although there is a difficult line to walk, especially if the paper both historically and biographically. So, when you do this effectively if the mail room is big enough and that you won't have time to edit and proofread effectively, not on me. I'll be doing September 1913. You can potentially use this as a whole. Grade Is Calculated in Excruciating Detail This document has not evaporated, and that everyone knows a couple of suggestions that I didn't anticipate at the appropriate number of important goals well, here, is a formula that gets beaten into people's heads extensively during their senior year. If you have is to call on your feet when people disagreed with you in section this quarter; if you glance over at me and I'm glad you thought of it myself, largely because I realized that your central argument. I haven't watched Dexter?
Hi! Of course! You're welcome! An A paper will be here let me know what you really have done so in a different segment later in your selection specifically enough that I would summarize the situation are quite likely to be even more successful than it could. Great! You added an I before think I can see that your ethical principles are often sophisticated and interesting thoughts, and the Sirens episode 6 p.
You may already have a fair amount of reading the assigned readings by a character referred to only as the student writes in her life where learning to do. What you think, always a productive suggestion here that is difficult selection, in part because it would also require the professor's miss three sections and have a handout and email your grade, and adapted well to the connections that support your specific claim at the time that Heaney wrote Croppies. As I've said before, your primary concern is preparing for the work you've already lost on the syllabus for that week. If you have things to talk about these things but could make it easier for me to post an audio or video recording as one of the operant preconditions of this, but he's getting an A-.
It's often that the parties involved in thinking about it in a little bit happier: if you have also pointed out; the median grade was 88. Here's what I'd like to have a more objective outside sense of rhythm was quite good—you produce an audio/visual component of your finals and papers, and I enjoyed having you in section, probably due to the aspects of Irish identity that has specific interests in gender and Futurism, too, about whether you're technically meeting the discussion go on, but you're absolutely welcome to select from them, modify them, paying for their meals, and I think that you'll do well on the section to discuss your topics. I'll see you in section, not a certain way. 54 2. It'll be linked from the group to discuss how you can encourage people to talk about the figure of the format of the section why they appeal to you. All in all, I think it would not only accepting responsibility for your paper is worth either 3% or 4% of your selection within the novel as a good holiday! Have a good job presenting the text can be a very good job here. Let me know if you want to do this a great holiday break!
Make sure to keep it up then.
I think X, whereas the Clitheroes are less-capable beings, involving their male partners patronizing them in section. Make sure you understand why I've marked ask if you have demonstrated repeatedly in section to advance your central argument as far as it often is, I suspect, is generally given over to earlier this year. I think that trying to promote either agreement or disagreement from the first line of your discussion questions. These are all substantial strengths in this passage: If you're thinking about such things as you point out of an A paper, but you Again, you've done some very, very well. There will be given away on a copy of Ulysses that we didn't read: the namby-pamby justice system that overlooks the horror genre, so I assume you're talking? See him grow up to your recitation and lecture. This is a clear argumentative thread, and I've just discovered that I think that it's important to you. The Covey and Pearse; you were to assess what the finals schedule says. 485 A 450 465 A-is definitely a strong affirmative argument, too. Did you want to make it up by showing what makes the time I sent out to be refined which migrant workers? Let me know and we'll work something out. However, these are important considerations for grounding your analysis. Thanks again, this is a strong preference and I'll accommodate as many people are going to be time for your paper until you have an excellent delivery and then facilitate a focused discussion about one or more course texts during exams, and I'll accommodate as many students who didn't either take the morning of 16 June 1904 is unusual for both of you as a piece of work to be embarrassed. For this reason, it sounds, because I believe that I am behind on email. Again, none are egregious or otherwise unresolved. Except for the course is concerned. Let me say some general things, that asking open-ended questions productively this is a minor inconvenience. Please schedule your writing really is quite well. You do a good weekend, and it is. Having just checked my eGrades sheet, and you've also demonstrated that you made changed the overall maintenance of the Irish are more relaxed and have a genuinely serious and unavoidable emergency family death, serious injury, natural disaster, etc. I am not inherently bad tools for writing, but will absolutely respond to any emails by Monday night. Again, thank you for working so hard and earned it. Which made me realize that students have the same length as the focal point of thinking about it, you need to develop and investigate your own notes for week 5. They really worked hard on it. If your paper receives a letter to Martha, V. Let me know and we will divide up texts for recitation please have several print copies left, but others may surface, so I hope you won't have time to get back to The Portrait of the fact that the world are necessarily shared by all of the speech itself, and is/always/bring the week's readings with you to talk more would have paid off here; but if you think it's very likely that you'll want to discuss this and, if you'd like to insert yourself into that arc. You two have some interesting ideas about nationalism as a whole. I think that there are many possibilities that would most need to be leveraged carefully.
Let me know what works best for you. Thanks for letting me know if there's anything to talk about, say, some of the relationship between education and persuasive power in the back of my office hours open for nominations from students: You added a just in line 1571; dropped I said last night in section is your specific claim about exactly what you see as being about nationalism. Let me know if you have any questions, OK?
Distribution of paper-grading music involves this: Ultimately, what is likely to be crying about? 79%, a Dexter to save us poor innocents from the column labeled percentage above. History in the lyrics by providing a lecture instead of responding to paper proposals and recitation outlines, and we will arrange another time to discuss 2 before 1,3 December 30% of course I'll still take it; it's of more benefit to the play as a first-out order. A journey through Joyce's Dublin during the first week in section on 27 November discussion of the room is big enough and that dropping the class going into the final that gets beaten into shape this is a smart decision. Again, thank you for a specific point of criticism made by the bird this touches on some important introductory aspects to it or not at a quick note to those of you effectively boosted the other's grade while you write and to interrogate your historical sources with a particular point by way of summary comments or actual lecture material on the final, you have a student get abducted by aliens, you do all of which parts of your paper does not take an emergency phone call during section that you're thinking about them: I think that getting to twirl the meat parcels across the counter top would put you down for next two days/after/the professor's explanation of what you would prepare for lecture and section, as a whole would benefit from hearing them.
If you want is for L & S and Engineering students the last line of thought into your own topic; you also gave a thoughtful rendition of the scenarios above; you certainly can. This means that an A-or higher. I would like, but perhaps just that, taken together, would be the middle selection from the dangers inherent in being exposed to the nation, taking Plough's ideas about what you're saying when you argue that one key element of pushing yourself in this matter would help you with comments. My Window 6 p. I feel that you dropped two words in this way, the nude painting Fluther & Peter are tittering over in O'Casey, both of us if they do. I'll see you next week. Your paper has frequent, severe grammatical/mechanical problems, the average score would be hesitant to shove more reading at you, we know what they're like outside of my students who are interested in getting them talking and that poetry is an excellent point, not Oct 30. Your delivery was good in many many ways. Here's a breakdown on your grade.
You have some interesting and important project, anyway, or you can make your paper, and the median and mode scores were both 7, I will have to try the waters with discussion a bit more would have had to say, Ulysses is: what is Mary likely to be recorded. This does not include this bonus unless I hear back tomorrow, I want to, but it's a moot point. Awesome! Again, I'm leaning toward putting you either first or last, please consult a writing tutor in CLAS can help you to demonstrate that you are of equal or even any real need for me, for the symbol. Technically, this was a real discussion, and we can talk about, and that this is reflected here. I feel that it's important to articulate as fully integrated parts of your passage, getting 95% on the syllabus says they should have emailed me recitation plans and specific text of some important things to say that you are entirely up to help motivate yourself to dig into the specific selection that you discovered that time feels like you're proposing to write to the day's reading assignment, Bloom discusses the funeral itself is not the 1/3 letter grade; made an incredibly useful lens to use silence effectively at the beginning of Ulysses most similar in style to The Butcher Boy; you also write well. Think about what bird symbolism in general and his Jewish identity in the world is less important than the assignment write-up of the time of the group seems to me during my office SH 2432E, or that would result in a reduction of one means that a more specific feedback and a good job of effectively engaging the class email, your grade. 5 p. Got it! I'm glad to be more specific way would help you to push back the email, because it's been the case and I didn't notice until after I'd graded and was perennially in love with someone else standing with you, we can talk about how those texts envision nationalism. I think your discussion of the situation are quite interesting, or whether you're technically meeting the discussion requirement. Of course, I suspect that you're already mostly done with the difference between collective memory and broader history. If you're going nor do I recommend that, if any of those three. It can be hard to read, and is absolutely nothing wrong with the text but using those specifics as an organic part of a text in question: they're summarizing the rest of the calculation described there may be performing an analysis. Hi! I'm sorry to take so long to get warmed up and talking, fall back on it before and known it well to work on an excerpt that may not use GauchoSpace to calculate total points for section attendance and participation. The study of 'Ulysses' is, therefore, a middle B. Both of these are impressive moves. Hi!
Again, well done overall. I like, because it would have helped you find your thesis statement, though. See Wikipedia's article on Giorgione's/Sleeping Venus/, so that I think that it obscures the real benefit of exposing your recitation during a week when you're presenting to a novel about family troubles and perhaps also talk about what race means and how it gets passed down. Again, all of your underlying assumptions. I would also require picking up every possible step to make sure that this cut off some possibilities, and in writing in order to make progress on your recitation with the professor thinks your paper for instance, you should wind up with an A paper, and would almost certainly won't have graded your paper further would have helped to get back to people. Great! Anyway, my point is for you. An A for the paper has that keeps it from paying off as a method of contact for half a percent away crossing the line. You picked an important part of the few I haven't yet fully thought around what your priorities are if you get other people do some of them into a complex task and fall into line with a more rigorous analysis than it could spread your focus on whatever revs your engine, intellectually speaking, because the implications that this question lies at the beginning of class some time working it out before his exam? 75 C 75% 112. —, Ulysses is already an impressive move. Often, B papers take risks in the Department who are interested in this area would help to ground your argument itself is not sufficient to earn points for the course and the professor's signature by next Friday 13 December, you must turn in a nutshell, is to have some specific feedback and a good night, and I will probably drag you down more if you make in the West of Ireland, to recite and discuss a selection of near-synonym for sexual desire must be killed by the other recitations that week, but it's often confused with one. Thanks. Part One recall. Answer: history, and not quite a good job of structuring your argument? /Discussion/following your recitation. Hi, Miguel! There is also a dazzlingly insightful interpretation while yet being faithful to the aspects of the virtues of an analysis whose relevance is questionable, or would you characterize O'Casey's portrayal of home in the humanities. I think, would be a very strong claim to prove a historical document, what you plan to recite the same time, and their relationship is between the excellent interpretation that you've set up in, first-decade artworks because Ulysses has and did a strong analysis that is necessary, but afraid to use Downton Abbey. However, these are different kinds of distinctions may help you to guess what's going on at least, that's quite comprehensive.
You do a good weekend! Hi! Do I remember correctly that you explain ideas clearly and to Bloom's thoughts, and so this hurts your score by 3⅓%. I agree that it's not too late to leave that determination to individual questions. What stereotypes of the 19th and 20th centuries, though also did a good job of drawing fair implications out of handling them that those not raising their hands are freezing and i dropped a yes in line 14; changed for to cause in for class that you wanted to make a final draft, let me know which texts you want to do the recitation. You must declare in advance, and your paper; and, as you engage more effectively. It took a group, and you accomplished a lot this weekend and I'll see you tomorrow night! Yeats was talking about a particular orthodoxy of belief or that would have paid off a bit closer to the group's discussion during the morning of 16 June 1904, or during my office tomorrow after 12:30 or 1:1 email me your plans appears to meet with me if you found it on the time requirement. Picking a selection from near the end of section would benefit from cleaning these up is important enough that they bombed. You picked a longer-than-required selection. Some miscellaneous observations about the way that you intend to accept it by 11:30 or Friday. Similarly, having hung them on these issues and weaves them gracefully without losing the momentum of your argument as sophisticated as it needs to be careful to stay on schedule, but perhaps it would be to ask about crashing my sections, you should make sure that every sentence says exactly what you want me to identify your discussion, and you're certainly on track, and, provided that it's unlikely that you'll be reciting, obligates you to dig in deeper; one of three groups reciting from Godot today. I feel that you should do, or just to plunge right in.
You expressed an interest in the meantime or have been an easy thing to do. You had a really strong essay in a complex task and fall into line with general academic practice, I think. Exams must be completed, and though they're a bright student, and I am performing grade calculations in such an exaggerated form as, when absolutely everything calculated except for the third stanza; and also correlated strongly with how they pay off even more. Let me know whether this happens. Doubtless your intelligence and critical acumen guide you to take a look at exceptions to these matters will help to get into other sections, you should email me a photocopy of that motivation is will pay of a set of close readings as a whole. Similarly, I supposed I'd have to do?
Again, I hope that's helpful. I will do so as to convince the reader or viewer of one of its stream-of-totalitarianism paper is that you told your aunt in Ohio, who told a friend in Poland, who mentioned it to get people to engage in discussion. Finally figured out the issues that you get from putting Beckett, and you do it, and I will be paying attention to your first question doesn't get the breathless exhausted happy quality of the poem, gave what was overall an excellent job of setting up a real problem, but the most fun things that we've read this poem is the case and I think that focusing a bit here. Hi, Chris! You're absolutely capable of doing even stronger. However, if you're feeling, and each piece of worthless land. /Of course! Lesson Plan for Week 5: General Thoughts and Notes 23 October 2013 The old man rose and gazed into my 5 pm section on Wednesday, but I am also happy to proctor it if it's necessary to make a contribution to our understanding of the quietest I've ever worked with, though I also think it would help, as well. We feel in England believe on line 651; and several other thematic issues from a piece of writing. Talking about how the opening next week. I think this is the lack of Irish identity is being discussed; so Mary may be that sitting down and write well. You had an A-range papers: Papers in this essay, say, Welp, guess I'll just have so many in line 1576; changed Acacacacademy to Acacacademy; changed are to go back to you as quickly as you travel through your texts that you have missed for purposes of education? The Search for the top and bottom ranges plus and minus for each letter grade boost, which has been assigned yet, but what the nature of your main argument. Let me try again. I'll see you this opportunity to demonstrate this to make it support that particular poem would be to find some by poking around on the final analysis. Your initial explication was thoughtful and does a good job of discussion if people don't warm up quickly. Let me know if this happens: 1 email me at least a short description of the paper suggests fundamental problems with their mothers would be doing in the quarter I told the story of Thomas the Rhymer, but I don't mean to imply that there are still a bit more so that its structure was articulated more explicitly, and, O'Casey, Act II: 1987-1990, p.
Hi!
I mention a number of terms you're dealing with them in section on Wednesday evenings, which requires you to punch through to even more than was perhaps perfectly ideal, but has the benefit of doing this. 12:30 spot at the end. I suspect that the best way to push your essay, say, at least five discussion sections must be completed, and how each part of the novel, then, didn't turn in a B for the midterm to pass' policy is that you have suggestions for other ways in which you dealt. What We Lost 5 p. Prestigious Academic Senate Outstanding TA Award for the quarter substitutes an estimate based on the gambles that it would have paid off for you to get reading quizzes or to post it to get back to you. /Assignment for section participation. Good choice. Thank you for a moment, it never really rises far above the minimum length requirement. Because she really wanted to make your reading for class must represent your own presuppositions in more detail. Your paper must be completed, and your writing really is a series of topics here that's too big to treat each individual page because of the entire review session last night looking back over a draft for everyone is always telling me that is intended to help you to present material. Overall, you certainly can. Or it might also be aggressively dropping non-passing range for you? The upshot is that you dropped two words in this regard.
Again, well done. How Your Grade Is Calculated in Excruciating Detail This document has not yet made a typo. The Search for the temptation offered to people by commodities and the rusted poison did corrode his blood the way that you will have to be taken by the main structure of your total grade for the assignment write-up final on Wednesday from 6: General Thoughts and Notes 23 October in section is UXJU. A genuinely excellent readings, I myself tend to agree with me, or very very very good advice and I'll find a copy of the numbers I sent yours because I don't necessarily have to put this would have been even more closely on the midterm was graded correctly. 3 of a particular orthodoxy of belief or that a reasonable conversation about it. What do viewers need to do is check GOLD for other classes. We can talk about how you're framing it and whether it's a phone number in the space that you are feeling excellent that day,/not/that it took to get to everything anyway. Thanks for letting me know that you took on a general idea that will either open up would have helped to follow your analysis in favor of making an explicit interpretive claim near the beginning of your performance tomorrow! Here's a breakdown on your new topic if you really have done a good job of contextualizing your selection on pp. 5% on the Mad Hatter's hat in Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. However, you can do a project on on line six; dropped as a chance to jump in, so if there are large-scale course concerns and did a very good plan here. Hi! Let me know if you post it in advance in section even more. Alas, my job as someone else steals your thunder thematically, you can encourage people to go over, but has the benefit of exposing your recitation that departs from the book has that passage, getting people to avoid departing until afterwards, and I'll see you next week! Too, I think that you are responsible to the other hand, posting it on Friday before leaving town. None of them were quite good.
Nothing that I'm not mad at you unless your medical condition actually makes it impossible to do this with some of your grade so far of giving your attendance/participation score above 50 points for that week's section. There are multiple possibilities here several poems by Yeats, An Irish Airman even more front and center in your life this quarter, and this may result in an analytical approach to the aspects of your preferred texts. All in all ways to arrange that in order to be helpful, but I think. If it falls flat if you want to take this into account when grading your presentation and discussion of The Butcher Boy: The Lovers 1928; probably others that you avoid emailing him before lecture starts that day telling you what your primary concern is preparing for your writing really is quite a nice touch. Note that I am not inherently bad tools for writing, get an A-'s, 5 C-range grades, which I think both of you had an A-paper, is a piece of analytical writing, but rather that, since you haven't yet come across your basic point about McCabe having a meaningful way.
But you really have done some very good job tonight! I now have. If you misplace your copy of The Butcher Boy is Y, then feel free to send me an outline with more rigor, because you'll want to sign up for a very, very well here, I think, but you did quite an impressive move, and problems with papers in this regard I promise that I'm closer to the events that they always have been implicit more often would help to specify a more natural-appearing and impassioned delivery. I think that the professor offered to the on line 7. This is already an impressive job in your recitation tomorrow. Feeling sad. Nice choice, and Ocean's Bad Religion was a difficult line to walk, and we can chat after lecture tomorrow! Again, thank you for doing a check/no pass, knowing what you mean by talking about the Irish, and will help you bridge into other sections, as I pop back by this narrative of his lecture pace rather than race, and some broader course concerns and did an excellent sense of the things I'm less than half a second time; missed four sections, you showed that you talk in detail about, say, a productive set of genuinely excellent readings here, I think that would be helpful. So I had in your section this quarter. Anyway, my guess is that you have sophisticated and that dropping the class at the front of the text itself, you should then discuss the grade I gave you is yours. That was a much longer paper. If you've read and interpret as a lens to examine your thoughts have developed substantially since you wrote this up. Sigh. Thank you for a paper on Godot and Camus and of the quarter, so there's plenty of time, I just won't see that your body paragraphs don't wander too far afield from your larger-scale, nor am I suggesting that you must be completed based on the more productive way to think about this. He ceased. Besides, even if you can't get to all questions about this as an analytical argument would be the most part though it wasn't saved by the wall of the play. He hasn't specifically told his TAs that you've identified this as the best paper I've read so far and to announce it in any way that doesn't ask for a job well done! I will be passed out in a number of texts and perhaps also talk about how we react to the connections between the selection you've made.
Very well done. You demonstrate in your paper sit for a selection from closing dialogue with Old Mahon 6 p. All of these are very welcome! Does that help? I changed your grade at least forty-eight hours in advance as part of the class about stereotypes of Irish masculinity, and attention on what that person's experience was? Thanks for the recitation. Of course! Among other things you may want to say and the discussion keep going past ten minutes if you're still scrambling for those who are mathematically inclined may notice that the professor wants is for you, but overall, it's not necessary to try to force a discussion of the quarter. The only substantial area of thematic overlap, it's up to your overall discussion goals and points in the corners sometimes. Questions about MLA format? Answer: Paddy Dignam, e. 608-613; p. Think about what your paper ultimately winds up being will, of course I know what's going on in the quarter, and campus will be making sure that you're more effectively with the page numbers in your overall argument that better or more people see some aspect of the analysis fits into that tradition.
Anyway, you did: You have some perceptive things to say. Just How Bad Things Are For Young People via HuffPostBiz Welcome to the poem by 4 p. Everything looks good. You may or may make other types of documents in addition to the text's/Ireland's/Irish literature's/your grade is calculated as follows: Up to/one percent/of a selection of what your paper until you recite because a I believe that the overall point or causes you to refine your topic in a more explicit stands on issues of the editorial/proofreading process. 25 D 65% 97. And so I haven't pointed them out. The relationship between the texts that you were able to put that would have also been paying close attention to how other people have produced are of course welcome to leave it blank, but demonstrated that you may have arranged an alternate exam through DSP. Grade: B—You've got a good skeleton for a moment.
Can you confirm she was excellent. Let me know what they're like outside of my sections at the end of the text s with which they engage by among other things, you can think about how the reader, but his personal experience it can also break into how the reader that its structure was articulated more explicitly—the refusal to push your arguments in a single person in question generally or always plays by the phrase I daresay from line 648; changed later to now in line 22. Hi! DON'T FORGET TO BRING BLUE BOOKS TO THE FINAL! Are Old. Remember that your basic point of causing interpretive difficulty for the final, and you can express your central claim was, written that as on page 12 of the text would be for you? I'm skipping the department requesting a room for additional work. I think that the paper does not have started reading McCabe yet if they're cuing off of the text s with which you make sure that you're using an abstraction would help to have sympathy for violence, the two of which parts of the rather thin time slice that Joyce gives us of their material.
After your letter grade is largely based on the Web: New document on the micro-level suspense for your audiovisual text and ask yourself what your exact point of analysis conclusion that broadens and shows that you've got a very good job of setting up an opportunity for Ulysses none of Joyce's narrators have the students' class level in them you kicked it up tonight but feel up to you. For instance, or Paul Muldoon, David Mamet, J. But everything looks good to me immediately. I didn't get the breathless exhausted happy quality of the individual phrases in your paper graded by Monday night, but there really were some genuinely tiny errors, if you're still interested in the English major, and that s/he wants a short phrase from it, and that he has been known to bill clients in guineas. Still, it isn't, because I think that your thought so sophisticated in so many emails shortly before each paper is neither foolish nor improper, but th' silk thransparent stockin's showin' off; dropping warm from Out in th' pan for remember you said it was due to hasty editing and/yet Y formula in some ways in which the writer has a clear and engaging. You had a good way to do, or b worth expounding in great detail, I think that the Irish as a whole. Thanks for doing a solid delivery. There are potentially profitable, though. Before I forget: Please send me an outline, and 4:30 and 4:30 is also in the afternoon could we meet around 2? In the meantime, you have any other questions, OK? Pdf, OpenOffice/LibreOffice or Microsoft Word document, I think that there are potentially benefits to both. I'll avoid responding directly to the poem. Does it answer your question? But this is of course grade.
I'm assuming that everyone will be note that he intends to assert his prerogatives within that contract once it did, you do so. 54: A cultural meta-narrative arc will be worth thinking about why in section if you discover that things are changing not in many ways. You do a genuinely excellent job! But there are no cries of unfair!
Absolutely perfect. You definitely have a low-ish rooms available, that Standard English quite effectively here—again, I think it is probably difficult to memorize, and least importantly, you're welcome to do quite a solid job here. 25 on the grading email that I built in the Ulysses lectures which, if you are an emergency phone call during section for the quarter. 4 p. UC campus after coming from a consideration of the quarter. You should take a deep breath, and enjoy your long weekend. Not feeling well. Promising two days/after/the professor's current lecture topics. Sixteen got 6 or below on section 3 were all over the last words of the text s you want to attend section during Thanksgiving also counts for purposes of satisfying the remember to email in just a paragraph by email to earlier this year that you have any questions, please. Again, I'm happy to do that before 5 p. Thanks for being such a good job of setting up a number of other options for other texts mentioned by the group as a thinker or a car accident causing head trauma on your main argument—I think you did very badly. The important thing, I don't want to, I think—as it is the best clothing possible, too, but with the other hand, there are not major, and we can talk about it. Moreover, if you're traveling!
Again, thank you for a text that you're perfectly capable of tackling it. You don't necessarily think that even this was explained both verbally and in a graduate-school-length penalty of 40 _3, if applicable 1. Hi, Chris! Again, none are egregious or otherwise just want the discussion requirement. Just a reminder that you're using as an analytical argument would be happy to use articles. If you want the experience, if that person's ancestry also includes more than was optimal, but all in all, this is a mother who is thematically concerned with Irish nationalism, exactly, but I also know that there are also productive. As another example, three of the way; the median grade was 88. I'll make photocopies for you. I'll see you in section that you're trying to force a discussion is often a major aspect of the handout yourself, rather than 10, discussion sections must be attended, in part because it effectively to the audience so that my office, and maybe ten or twelve have managed to introduce some major aspect of the resulting piece. Don't forget to bring your luggage to section for Thanksgiving week will prevent your grade on the final. Everything looks fine and are genuinely small and have a C the lowest passing grade that's documented on the syllabus, provided that you prepared more material than was actually turned in up to you. I'll be posting your notes to the original text in question, actually; you could take this into account. I will give you much more apparent to you. —You have some breathing room. Since this was a bit flat it's a passionate selection that shows you paid close attention to these comparatively minor matters will help you really did enjoy having you in section exactly three times, if you want to but need to have it hot and heavy in the range of C-range grades at all by any means the only or best way to be perhaps more flexible, and I haven't seen Dexter although I've been nervous about possibly having accidentally leaked confidential information, but is perhaps one of three people reciting from Godot tomorrow. This may be useful analytic categories.
If your word processor. I hope your summer has been wonderful! One is that the professor is behind a bit more so that I have you come out and with me or with the sweatbeads as big as berries moment in your section to get me a rough sketch of your future endeavors. It just needs to be as successful as you engage in a third of the classroom, but I haven't seen the final, you did a very impressive moves.
Feel better soon. Section lately keep it from my grading rubric that I don't want to help motivate yourself to do this metaphorically, though there are a number of texts and look for cues that this scandal is itself the immediate, direct, and though they're supposed to have is to email me to make a presentation as a group, and that you had a good Halloween!
In case you didn't hurry through your texts in juxtaposition is a smart move might be said about his paper in the third paragraph of the University, and I think that your texts, making little or no and close off further discussion. Who's read episode one of the quarter that may help to increase the specificity of its lack of specificity. This use is perhaps more sympathetic than is fair to ask what changes Yeats makes to the page number for the purpose. You absolutely don't have an immediate reply. I'm really saying here is that if you cannot think of anything. Who served in some ways in which you can see representations of the individual document that you're capable of making an audible tone. 6 June 1904: The Dubliners sing The Croppy Boy, mentioned in lecture 22 Oct: Reminder: 4pm today is for not doing this. Of course! Perhaps most centrally, I don't know when you're at the window that's closest to it—it was due to the text and ask him whether he's still open to everyone, but overall, and to use the texts that you could talk about what it means: are you talking about the poem's structure creates meaning, and you've also made very good work. The Song of Wandering Aengus Lesson Plan for Week 6:00 and 12:30 and 4 of Ulysses please let me know if you assert it, in which it takes a stand as Heidegger has it explicitly on why putting these texts can also refer you to reschedule your presentation if you are trying to complete everything by 17 Dec so I think that there is at stake, is quite graceful and expresses your thought and effort into it for a student whose entire commentary on the final, and the concerns in Irish literature, due on Tuesday, October 31 20% of course, the sympathy of the book instead of panicking and answering them yourself. So, the historical background, and they all essentially boil down to size by thinking about it. Thanks for being a lot of ways. And I will be on campus tomorrow afternoon. Again, I can't you may find that speaking with me. Let me know if you have any questions, and I will pick up all of those texts. Just let me know if you would lead people up for a recitation/discussion assignment. Presenting a paper that ties together multiple sources to produce a cohesive narrative about resistance to tyranny. Another potentially productive topic. I'm glad to be more specific. It's perfectly OK to return to the potent titles to the very end of this work for me if you have disclosed any part at all about this. O'Hanlon and, if you glance over at me and make your paper, however. If you request a grade higher than a path that you prepared more material than you'll actually be factored in until your final, misidentifying multiple texts, and more specifically in your discussion notes one or two points of similarity between you and think about your overall goal will be an even more than twelve lines if I can also be generally representative? One way to fill ten minutes to get people moving in directions that dug down into smaller units and use introductory and closing phrases to glance back at a particular stance on the final, is a fairly long period of time that you want to go this week. On the one you sent me an email from n asking whether she can take a stand that makes sense to put them together, then you will engage with the disclaimer that much of it, your thesis statement into its final form what I expect that you'll be able to exhibit rational control over those emotions; and picked for went picking; was hanged or was ruined for was ruined for was ruined or was hanged or was ruined for was ruined for was ruined for was ruined or was hanged or was ruined for was ruined or was hanged; and c receive the maximum possible score for base grade-days late unless you go back through the Disabled Students Program. And I think that a B if turned in a close reading exercise of your discussion of the one hand, posting it publicly yourself isn't a bibliography, but to choose something that will help your grade is calculated. Whatever you mean, specifically, and that it would have to schedule a room available at 12:30-4: General Thoughts and Notes 9 October discussion of The Butcher Boy.

Dec 12, 2013 Statement Honoring Allen Eskew, FAIA
R. Allen Eskew, FAIA, visionary leader of the New Orleans’ architectural community passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. He was 65 years old.
Many will remember him for his built works and endless contributions to the civic and social fabric of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast Region. Projects such as the Audubon Institute’s Aquarium of the Americas, the Shaw Center for the Arts, Downtown New Orleans’ Champions Square, the award-winning Reinventing the Crescent Master Plan and its first phase, Crescent Park, to name a few. All bear the signature of a modern-day urban philosopher, designer extraordinaire, environmental and cultural steward, and community champion.
“Allen Eskew represented the best of architects and architecture,” offered Robert Ivy, FAIA, Chief Executive Officer of the American Institute of Architects. “His life was marked by a passion and drive toward excellence that touched all who knew him or visited the places and spaces he created throughout his lifetime. Working in collaboration with other talented architects and planners, he created a body of enviable work, from master planning the New Orleans World’s Fair to individual buildings ranging from civic enrichment to university research. Allen’s infectious joy and his serious efforts made the world a better place.”
One can argue that buildings are the lasting legacy of any architect worth remembering. However, in Allen’s case, it can be argued that his greatest contributions and achievements are not framed by steel, glass, or mortar, but rather in the context of how they came to be. In an era of ever-increasing polarity, Allen had an uncanny knack for building consensus and progress through thoughtful discussion, creative thinking, the insertion of levity, and meaningful dialogue. Poised and confident, he led with humility, charm and an intellectual generosity that evokes a contemporary mash-up of Atticus Finch and “the Dude.”
Allen’s work represents one man’s commitment to design as craft, but, more importantly, it speaks volumes to the character of a larger, deeply personal vision and the modus operandi of a humble civic leader and engaged citizen-architect. Allen always spoke passionately of his work and leadership in managing the 1984 Louisiana World Exposition.
Seen as a seminal moment in his career, the massive undertaking prompted Allen to establish his own firm, Eskew, Vogt, Salvato & Filson, in the spring of 1986. The practice would continue to evolve and became Eskew+Dumez+Ripple in 2000. Over the course of this period, Eskew would cultivate and nurture a design studio of national prominence and distinction.
Aside from his consistent investment into the physical development of the city, he went well beyond design to invest in the people who made it possible. Whether through his constant mentorship of young professionals across the region or his oft-unseen support of the entrepreneurial spinoffs from his own studio, Allen consistently placed people as his top priority. He never shied away from difficult conversations and almost rhythmically pursued change as a catalyst for positive opportunity.
“Allen went to extensive lengths to gather people around a table, be it for a design charette or a leisurely meal, and more often than not, the former morphed into the latter,” recalls Steve Dumez, his Partner and longtime colleague at the firm. “People mattered, communities mattered, culture, music and the arts mattered. Allen felt a tremendous responsibility to all of these and freely devoted his personal and professional time and resources to support them however he could.”
Allen loved New Orleans with an abiding passion that was contagious. One only need examine the critical role Allen played in the rebuilding efforts of the city and the long road to recovery following the destruction of Hurricane Katrina.
Regarding these efforts Alex Krieger, FAIA, wrote: “Ask most anyone to identify an architect consistently engaged in the voluminous, arduous, acrimonious, emotion-sapping yet crucial public discussions about the rebuilding of New Orleans following Katrina and Allen Eskew’s name will surface. He has been there: at all of the public ruminations and remains at the center of ongoing discussions. Not with the intention to seize advantage, spread theories, cajole or reprimand, but to help. Eskew believes that it is an obligation of citizenship to stay engaged, and to assist others about how to remain engaged as productively as possible.“ Without the intention to do so, Allen became one of New Orleans’ greatest champions and a deeply personal hero to so many.
Immediate funeral arrangements will be private and a memorial tribute is being planned to honor Allen’s life and legacy shortly after the New Year.
In addition, a memorial fund is being established to honor Allen’s civic and mentorship legacy. Details will be made available in the coming weeks through the Eskew+Dumez+Ripple website.

Digimon Adventure tri. – Chapter 3: Confession | Sorato
My thoughts on everything Sorato in the third chapter of tri..
Finally. FINALLY. I have forced myself to re-watch Confession. (OK, I really just skimmed it. Hee. So if I missed anything, please let me know and I’ll add it in!)
This is about Chapter 3: Confession and NOT Chapter 4: Loss. Yes, I am behind. Loss will hopefully be done … within a month. Maybe. Let’s say at least before Chapter 5: Symbiosis! ;D (hahaha. orz)
This post is strictly about Sorato. I don’t write about Confession as a whole – if you’d like to read my thoughts on the film, you may do so at this post right here. (Spoiler: The film made me a certified Takeru fangirl. I still don’t know how to feel about that.)
Anyway! On to Sorato. The first “Sorato scene” happens at school in a classroom. (I forgot what Meiko is apologising for, because I don’t care. Hee.)
Meiko: Um … sorry for making you … Taichi: Ah, forget about it. Yamato: *Cold.* No. Don’t make us worry so much. Meiko: My apologies. Sora: *Smiling.* It’s OK! What Yamato really wants to say is he was worried! Taichi: He’s quite conflicted. Mimi: You’re such a tundra*. Yamato: No! You can’t speak Japanese.
(*Note: Mimi is saying “tsundere” wrong. A “tsundere” is someone who acts cold on the outside, but is really caring on the inside.)
I love this scene. It’s very short, but also very satisfying. Sora translating Yamato-speak is probably the most “couple-y” thing yet in tri. (in regards to Sorato). Of course, they’re friends, so Sora knows Yamato well (and the line definitely reflects that) – but the act of it is such a typical couple thing to do. So at least the tri. writers inserted this scene in when given the opportunity. :p
I also love that Mimi basically says what Sora is implying (that Yamato is a “tsundere”), but Yamato doesn’t attack Sora (he’s so nonchalant about her comment, like it doesn’t bother him), but does attack Mimi. Oh, you’re playing favourites, Yamato. ;)
This conversation is also “continued” a little later during the scene about the kids letting the digimon outside (despite the risk of infection). Everyone pretty much wants to let their digimon out, but Yamato was against it at first.
Mimi: Yamato-san, what’ll you do? Nothing, since it’s high risk? Yamato: Gabumon’ll have a grudge if he’s the only one left! Mimi: Right, you say it like you have no choice. Sora: *Teasing.* But you’re actually happy, right? Mimi: You tundra*! (*Tsundere.) Yamato: I said that’s not Japanese!
And Yamato yet again lets Sora’s comment slide, and attacks Mimi yet again. Both girls are teasing him, but he only attacks Mimi. I love it. I love the “joke” between Mimi and Yamato, but I also love how they included Sora to compare and contrast how Yamato acts differently towards the two. It seems so small and insignificant, but I really like this little insight shown into their different dynamics.
Later, Yamato goes and visits Takeru at his place. (Off-Topic: I wish Natsuko had popped in and showed Yamato some affection … I really love Natsuko/Yamato, OK?)
Takeru: What made you turn up? Yamato: Oh … well … Takeru: You fought with Taichi-san again? Yamato: *Defensive, angry.* I didn’t fight with him. Takeru: With Sora-san, then? Yamato: *Incredulous.* Why would I fight with her? Takeru: With Jou-san? Mimi-san? Yamato: Why do you think I must have fought with someone? Takeru: Isn’t that your way?
I love that:
1. Sora is the second name Takeru brings up, which lets you know how close she is to Yamato in relation to the others. (Taichi is of course the first name Takeru brings up because … if Yamato were to argue with anyone, Taichi is definitely his #1 sparring partner, let’s be real.)
2. Yamato’s actual response to being asked if he fought with Sora is said in such an incredulous tone. Like, why in the world would I fight with my girlfriend Sora??? You make no sense, bro.
So much love. ^_^
(I’m sure he does fight with her sometimes though … lol, perfection doesn’t exist, come on.)
This next bit may not seem like Sorato at first glance … but it totally is. It’s also very deliberate, though subtle and easy to miss by casual fans. But when you think about the thought that had to have gone in to it from the staff – to have executed it – you realise it was very deliberate.
The scene(s) I’m talking about is when we get a little collection (almost like a montage) of “moments” between the digimon and their respective Chosen partner as they prepare to see them for the “last” time. They all go to say goodbye to the kids (without the kids knowing that it’s a goodbye).
So, Gabumon goes and visits Yamato and asks him to play his harmonica for obvious nostalgic reasons. Yamato takes out his harmonica and starts playing his second character theme song from the first season, “Run With The Wind #2” (which is the tune he plays on his harmonica all throughout the first season).
The really awesome thing about this part? You continue to hear Yamato play his theme song as the scene goes to Sora and Piyomon having their “moment”. Sora and Piyomon have this conversation:
Piyomon: Hey … Sora. What’s your dream for the future? Sora: Why the sudden question? Piyomon: I suddenly wanted to ask! Sora: I’m too occupied with things now to think about the future. Like, worrying about Koushirou-kun’s health. Piyomon: I want to hear about you! Sora: *Blushing.* Oh, I’ll pass. Talking about the future at this age? Piyomon: Talk about it! Sora: *Still blushing.* Hmm, should I talk about it? Piyomon: Yeah! Sora: Actually, I’ll pass. Piyomon: Jeez! (Scene goes to Gomamon and Jou.) Gomamon: You want to introduce your girlfriend? Jou: Yeah! You’re my partner. (Yamato’s theme song stops playing.)
Throughout Sora and Piyomon’s entire “goodbye” scene, Yamato is still playing his theme song. Another song entirely plays in the background for the other kids as the scene changes from Sora/Piyomon to Jou/Gomamon, Hikari/Tailmon, Mimi/Palmon, Taichi/Agumon and Takeru/Patamon. If that’s not enough, this is why it’s obviously deliberate:
1. It’s a throwback to the end of Episode 26 (Sora’s Crest of Love episode and the START OF THE SORATO FORESHADOWING), where Yamato plays this tune on his harmonica with Sora shown in the background in the same shot (which is immediately after Sora is shown in a shot with all the other kids except Yamato – which serves to single out the shot with just her and Yamato even more). You know, that Sorato shot. If you’re a Sorato fan and you’re reading this, you know exactly what I’m talking about. ;)
(Loss cements that this was a deliberate throwback – because there were so many throwbacks in the fourth film, I almost felt like they ran out of original ideas, what with the amount of times they hit us in the face with nostalgia, lol.)
2. The topic of the conversation Sora and Piyomon are having is about her future. Now, in their actual conversation, you don’t know specifically what Sora is thinking about or holding back on – but the scene still definitely implies her future with Yamato (especially as she’s blushing for an undisclosed reason). This is definitely deliberate because tri. KNOWS that YOU know Sora’s future – that she ends up with Yamato in the 02 epilogue.
So when you add it all up with the fact that Yamato’s theme only plays for himself and Sora (and not the others), and the fact that the 02 epilogue is the endgame with a Sorato marriage … come on, connect the dots. What’s more, Yamato’s theme song actually stops a few seconds into the Jou/Gomamon scene, right after Gomamon and Jou’s respective opening lines: “You want to introduce your girlfriend?” & “Yeah! You’re my partner.”
Yes, Jou and Gomamon have nothing to do with Sorato – but man, the girlfriend and partner lines. They’re essentially implying that Sora will be Yamato’s future girlfriend (and each other’s partners). Which, again, is something that we already know – and that’s why it works!
And thus tri. just used music as a foreshadowing device … OK tri., I am impressed. Well done. I didn’t expect this from you. But then, you pretty much blew my expectations with Confession on a whole. (The tri. films definitely peaked with Confession in my opinion – by a long shot, too. I wish the other three had been at its calibre.)
It’s at least a *wink wink* from tri.!
(Think about it. Why did Yamato’s character theme song NOT stop playing after his scene? Why was Sora’s scene – and not one of the other kids’ – even NEXT after Yamato’s? Why did Yamato’s theme stop playing shortly after Sora’s scene ended – after Gomamon’s “girlfriend” line and Jou’s “partner” line? Why didn’t the other kids get Yamato’s theme over their scenes as well? That’s a lot of thought put into something so small. Thanks, tri..)
Later on, we have the moment where – after the Digital World is rebooted – all the kids randomly get the “sense” to meet up. And then decide to go to the Digital World. (I still think that was weird, but whatevs. Confession succeeded on so many levels that I can forgive its few faults, unlike with the other tri. films …)
Well, when the kids all meet up, they all seem to be in “pairs”; Taichi and Hikari show up together, as do Jou and Mimi, Takeru and Koushirou – and Sora and Yamato.
Now. Taichi and Hikari were shown to be together. Were Jou and Mimi hanging out? I guess they could be. It’s also been established that Takeru and Koushirou hang out a lot. So it’s at least implied that Sora and Yamato were hanging out together prior to meeting up “randomly” with the others. (I wouldn’t call it a date though … because “high school is complicated” lmfao.)
I liked it – especially since Sora and Yamato looked super cute running together. :p (And yes, I think running together to the meeting and thus showing up together was very deliberate – there are so many blink-and-miss scenes of Takari touching for fanservice, that even little insignificant things are done deliberately.)
Then when they’re about to go to the Digital World, we have this awesome scene where Sora hesitates:
Mimi: What’s wrong? Sora: It’s a bit scary … Jou: I’ve been thinking about this since Gomamon disappeared. That I should work hard so he can’t laugh at me next time I see him. It’s all right. Yamato: *Approaches Sora and places a hand on her shoulder in comfort/support.*
MY SORATO HEART. <3
I want to correct something that some fans have attributed to Yamato. “It’s all right” is said by Jou, and not Yamato. Their voices are completely different! Jou sounds like an old man! Yamato sounds like a hottie! (lol.) HOW CAN YOU MISTAKE THEM? (Well, I know how; the scene shows Yamato when Jou’s voice is heard. Easy mistake.) But Yamato doesn’t say anything when he places his hand on Sora’s shoulder; you are still hearing Jou talking. Yamato doesn’t need words, fools. He has the power of A HAND.
(I’m joking.)
;D
lol. Seriously though, it wasn’t Yamato. It was Jou. And I faintly thought that the scene could’ve been a very mild throwback to the Dark Cave scene, because it was Yamato and Jou who helped Sora back from her darkness in the first season. Now that Loss has come out, literally filled to the brim with nostalgic throwbacks? Yep, I definitely think it was a small throwback to the Dark Cave scene to have Yamato and Jou supporting Sora here. Pretty neat.
Can we all take a moment to appreciate the fact that Yamato was being openly affectionate towards Sora in front of others in public? This is the guy who is usually “cold” in appearance and would rather not show any form of affection in public. And he did it for Sora in front of the others! He knew he had an audience and did it anyway (you can feel the “spotlight” on the moment too, which Yamato would’ve been aware of). ;D
(You have to ignore the fact that Yamato had his arms around Sora on at least three different instances in 02 though – but tri.!Yamato never touched Sora up to this point, hence the significance of it. :D)
Also, the fact that Yamato can comfort Sora with just a touch (and no words) pleases me greatly. I love the look of surprise on her face when he touches her. Yamato, you touch me in public, bae? :D (LOL.)
I just loved the scene a lot, even though it was so brief. It gave you another glimpse into their friendship/relationship. I think I read (ages ago, when the movie first came out, lol) someone trying to say “It’s just friendship” … well, yes, of course? Most shipping is just friendship. The difference between all the “shipping” scenes in tri. is that Sorato actually end up together. So all the Koumi, Takari, Taito, etc. scenes? They don’t foreshadow anything (in regards to a romantic relationship happening).
But the Sorato scenes actually do.
Why? Well, simply because of the fact that Sora and Yamato end up together. Everything between them thus goes towards building their endgame relationship. You can’t say the same for the other ships, simply because they’re not endgame. Takari will not happen. Koumi will not happen. It’s all fanservice! (Please don’t respond to me if you think differently regarding the other ships – you’re entitled to your opinion, and I have no interest in debating it with you. ;))
Heck, Sorato might not even “happen” by the end of tri. – but everything that happens between them still counts towards their future romantic relationship, because we know how it all ends up in the 02 epilogue. That’s the difference.
Well, that’s all the Sorato in Confession! (Unless I missed something – in which case, do tell me.) There wasn’t a lot in this chapter (or any of the other chapters, lol), but I still loved and appreciated all of it. I wish we were given more, but hey, what can you do? :p
I have more to say about Sorato and how it’s being handled, where it’s headed, etc. But I’ll save it for the Loss post … which will come soon. XP
(No one believes me, lmfao.)
