How do I get access to the English episodes it shows they either are not there or I can’t access them

Keep in mind that Onedrive is finicky sometimes, and there's a chance you won't be able to see the streamed episodes and you may have to download them. Sadly we have no idea why this happens, and sadly we don't really have any other alternative to upload so many files (there's over 1TB of Hamtaro episodes in there!) that also allows for a streaming option.

Content Update: July 2021

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to update people on some updates i have been uploading over the past week. I had some things i needed to fix, and some things I wanted to implement, and some things that needed tweaking for one reason or another. So what has been fixed? Thanks for asking!

All chairs that slotted to a surface have been fixed. These include dining chairs, barstools, desk chairs, and high chairs. You can redownload, or if that's too hectic, grab S4S and run their batch fix, that is all I did. 

I enabled desks and dressers to snap under bunk beds. This was a little thing I wanted for my game, so you all benefit. Not mandatory though. Other objects that snap like loveseats, living chairs and alike already snapped so didn't need and update

do note that my bedding will not snap. Because I use separated bedframes it would require a larger overhaul to how I slot bedframes to mattresses which was out of the scope of this update

The new double showers I needed to make for Hamptons Getaway and Serenity Bathroom still had occluders leading to a dark spot, that has been rectified. 

Lennox Kitchen 4 seater table was missing a shadow group, cannot believe it's taken years to notice that...

Because this totalled in 27 custom sets and 3 addons, it's a lot of sets that needed to be reuploaded. Because of that I am not listing and linking, I will be here all week. If it has anything listed above, it was updated so please use some common sense. If you are unsure, ask on this post to keep it all in one place.

SFS was giving me grief and throwing a "key not found" error during this process. If you get this try hard refreshing (crtl+F5) first to see if that helps. I did test all the files to make sure they loaded to download page as I went, but issues may still arise. In that case, grab file from Google Drive. If you are experiencing this, be very specific and tell me what file specifically, otherwise I am unable to help (telling me "you can't download" something is as useful as a chocolate teapot). 

If you do think I have missed updating a file (very likely) please also be specific so I can double check. I have made a lot of CC and even I go "hey that looks familiar, did I make that?

In that process I dumped all Onedrive links which will no longer work, there should at least be a link for google drive for older content, and if the item no longer exists, then it is no longer available. So please don't ask because i wont be about to help (I think it was just 2 cowhide rugs and early TS4 houses which are still on the gallery).

hey so i saw and read your tutorial on using sgly, but i'm stuck at the part about downloading from baidu cloud (?). it looks like now that we're required to make an account there before we're allowed to download the files, and even tho i have a weibo and wechat account, i still need to verify using my phone number but unable to (i think "format" is wrong so i'm assuming that they only accept cn numbers.). any idea how to bypass this?

The other less secure option, that i know it worked a year or two ago, is to use a borrowed number to receive sms, there are many pages for that purpose (you can search for it as sms phone, temporary phone, verification number, etc.) however it is difficult to find numbers that have not already been used for that, in addition, the account is a bit exposed because they are public and the sms received too, and there are times that it doesn't work because the system detects that they are a risk and asks you to call directly

You can find more methods, such as using vpn, downloading apps, or trying to register on different Baidu pages, but, as i said before, the measures are getting stricter and nothing guarantees that they will work

There are also some creators that offer to upload it to Simfileshare or Onedrive for foreigners if you contact them, but they are very few…

The lot makes pretty extensive use of content from the University Life EP, which is not surprising as that’s where the lot designation comes from. In addition to the coffee register and the comic book register that give the lot its function, about half the furniture in the comic book store comes from that EP.

Given that one half of the lot is devoted to a coffee takeout joint, I imagine you could also designate the lot as a “Java Hut” without losing functionality, as long as the Roentgen register stayed in place.

I have listed some individual items that are from EPs and SPs, when I thought they might be easy to mistake for CC. I have also listed all Store content, where identifiable. The one exception is University Life, simply because it was used so heavily that to list any individual items from that EP would be redundant.

Tips about missing CC + notes about playability:

For the first time, I am reuploading part of the content used in this lot. I do not take any credit for the reuploaded items, I am merely sharing them after their original creators became unable or unwilling to do it themselves.

My criteria for which content to include or exclude are admittedly a bit arbitrary. In general, I have not included content that is still available online and easily findable, even if the creator has not been active for a while. I considered including content from dormant creators or those on indefinite hiatus, for fear their content would not stay available for long, but I’ve decided to cross that bridge once I come to it, and avoid reuploading (with only one exception).

Content I have included is from creators who have officially retired from Sims 3 creation. Content that is still readily available but only in backed up archives (rather than on the creator’s own site) are also included. This is because such archives are often time-consuming to dig through, and also because it never hurts to have a backup. I have included ONE item from a creator whose website is currently live (the alien statue conversion by Cathilark), but that is because of a collision of factors: they moved blogs, they reuploaded most of their old creations except for this one, and they have been inactive for most of a year now, making it rather unlikely that they will respond in a reasonable time frame.

There are also a couple patterns I have included, even though they do not fit in the above criteria, simply because they needed to be modded. These are the "Japanese bamboo” pattern by sectumsimpra and the “Sunny Tiles Small” pattern by ShannaSims... the first was offered only in a merged package with other patterns, from which I extracted the individual pattern that was used, and the second was made with CAP and therefore was afflicted by the bug caused by CAP giving all pattern files the same instance ID (a different bug from the “materializing materials” issue).

I want to stress, again, that my reuploading the content is not meant in any way to imply that I take any credit for the creation of these items. They belong to their original creators. I’m just making them available to the newer downloaders who may not have had the opportunity to snag these items when they were still online.

For the first time, II have replaced the Store Bistro Oven with Ani’s modded version of the same item, as I prefer her version (still requires the Store item to function, as it contains the necessary scripts). For the menu, I used the recolorable version by aa6x7.

There is an issue with one of the plants used on the rooftop: Martine used decrapped versions of store items with the vast majority of her builds, but there is one plant from the Renault set that seems to have been downloaded directly from the store. Decrapping the lot itself (as opposed to just your content) seems to fix this issue.

As always, this lot comes with its share of pattern / CASt-related issues.

One of the tables on the rooftop shows up as a blank white texture, even when the correct pattern is installed through the launcher. This becomes apparent when you take the table into CASt: the table actually DOES remember which pattern was used, it’s just that some of the TXTC and/or XML links seem to be malfunctioning so that the image doesn’t show up. Just re-apply the pattern manually, it solve the problem neatly either way.

The checkered floor (used behind the counter, in the washroom and kitchen, and in the corridor towards the elevator as well as on the 3rd / 2nd floor) was not found. I am inclined to guess that it’s a custom patterned floor texture rather than an EA floor texture with a custom pattern applied.

My top suggestion to replace this in your game would be the “Rida” tiled floor from this floor conversion set by @you-lust​ (previews for the specific floor used can be found here, it’s the checkered floor pattern shown 3rd from the bottom).

If you prefer to install your custom textures as patterns rather than walls and floors, OhMySims has converted these into patterns for CASting here (previews here, I link directly to her Onedrive folder because she’s already been swamped with complaints that her links don’t work, and anyway Marion hasn’t been active for ages).

A couple of sinks from the washroom remain unidentified. I have no idea what they are, especially as Martine provided no preview images showing what it’s supposed to look like on the inside. I suspect it does not matter, since even from the blurry outlines I can make out from the floor plans, they appear quite generic. I personally replace them with the Mexican tiled sinks from Around The Sims... they echo the Mexican tiled tables that were used to gorgeous effect on the rooftop, and I can imagine an upmarket coffee shop going to extra expense to install these, even if it is only for the bathroom. They ARE donation, but I do encourage you to donate to Sandy if at all possible!

The use of an end piece rather than a corner piece for the corner of the Ambitions awning results in a gap. If it bothers you (as it did me), it’s easy to just replace this part with the proper corner piece and CASt it to match the existing awnings.

Android Comic Book Store:

This was the lot that pushed me to go through with my newly hatched scheme of sharing lost content myself, as the items  from Levini / Circuswolf and Awesims ended up comprising a significant proportion of the CC in this sub-build.

For once, I’ve identified all patterns used in this sub-lot, including the small-scale ones used to recolor the standing books. (I even included one of them in the uploaded zip file, in case people wanted to install the individual pattern without getting all the other patterns it was originally merged with... apologies to sectumsimpra).

I don’t like the register meshes that ship with the game, so if you’re also looking for a sleeker alternative to the Roentgen register, you’ll be spoiled for choice with all the registers made by @aroundthesims​ Sandy. I happen to really like the one she made as a substitute for the Uni Life register, but if you find a different mesh more to your liking, you can always just clone the one you like better then apply an OBJK script class change.

Well, firstly, just know that i’m no expert but i appreciate you asking me for help! Making CC varies in different difficulties but by no means does that make anyone unable to make it. In my personal experience i’ve found that i have improved in all fields of creating custom content over the years, so no matter where you start- never give up because you will improve. 

There is no set in stone way of making cc, nor a set of programs that you’ll need per say but I guess that a little starter list of what you’ll want to begin is a good idea so:

a cc making software- i recommend sims 4 studio, as i’ve always used that for my own custom content and am not really sure of other programs. you’ll need to make an account and get the most updated version of the program. I should also throw in that it doesn’t matter if you’re a mac or windows user. there are tutorials on how to use it on the website.

an editing program- i use adobe photoshop, however if that’s not really available to you, you can get a free trial here, or use another program like gimp, basically whatever you can find that you’re comfortable with and has a somewhat detailed editing software. find the tutorials that are right for you- learn how to use stuff basically first.

a sharing website- a sharing website is a place where you can upload your creations, get the link for them, and post them for people to go download. websites such as onedrive, mediafire and simfileshare are perfect for this. you will need an account for all three, however, simfileshare requires you to obtain a code to join. message me off anon if you would like one. for me, simfileshare is the best website to share custom content, as i like the simple appearance and easy use.

the game!- obviously. but i mean that when you’re making previews for your cc, you’ll want to be able to put it on your sims//in game.

There are so many amazing tutorials out there for all aspects of creating cc, just a google away! But just some more things you’ll want to know from me to you <3:

it doesn’t matter what you make, there will always be people who appreciate what you do, and like i said, you will always improve.

editing can take time, and sometimes you won’t always like the end result, and that’s okay too! you don’t have to share everything.

poses! in game/cas poses are useful if you want to spice up the default stances of your sims, they help your previews to stand out. there are tutorials on how to use them in game.

recolours are a cool start. by making a recolour of something, you’re not only starting to learn how to edit clothing/ object textures, but you will have the chance to make a preview and gain your own editing style. you can recolour ea stuff that’s already in the game, or recolour other content creators work, but make sure you check their tou first!

just so you know, you can take screenshots in game using ‘c’ on your keyboard or i guess just use ‘prt sc’ to copy your screen display. once you’ve taken a screenshot, go to your screenshots file in your sims 4 folder to get it and then edit it to your hearts delight!

thumbnails. using sims 4 studio, you have the option of adding a thumbnail to your cc, its optional, but makes for a nice touch.

After looking at a few different platforms for uploading and storing files, I think the clear winner is MEGA. It has fantastic end-to-end encryption that makes sure all of your files are protected.

It offers a good range of features, including a chat function and Versioning, which adds an extra layer of security to your files. If you accidentally make a mistake or delete a file, it’s replaced by a previous version.

However, MEGA doesn’t have the best editing features or integrations.

If MEGA doesn’t seem right for you, then either OneDrive or Box are two other good alternatives. OneDrive and Box both aren’t as secure as MEGA, but they do have integration tools.

OneDrive is very budget-friendly as it’s cheapest price plan is only $1.99 per month. It also has a free version you can download, but you’re limited to 5GB of storage for your files.

OneDrive is available to download as a mobile app and desktop client, but the latter has a plain and outdated design.

Box is more suited to businesses, but it has a good range of features for home use. You can download a few different apps of Box, including a mobile app. It has a lot of integration tools and has great customer support. Aside from a free version, the cheapest price plan for Box is $5 per month.

How to Manage Files, folders, and other documents in Microsoft OneDrive

OneDrive is almost similar to other cloud file-management service just like Dropbox, but besides this it also lets you access your MS Office files. If you haven’t managed your OneDrive account storage, then it gets complicated for you to find a file stored in OneDrive storage.

So, here is how to manage files, folders and other documents in Microsoft OneDrive!

Syncing Files, Photos, and other documents to OneDrive

From My PC:

•    To sync Files, photos or any other document to the OneDrive, the first step you have to do is choose the files for syncing. You can also select an entire folder to sync to OneDrive.

•    Login in into the computer you’re using OneDrive.

•    Now, navigate to the files or folder that you want to sync on OneDrive.

•    Then add the files or folders to the OneDrive location.

•    Repeat the same procedure to add more files or folders to OneDrive. If you need a new folder for your documents, then you can create it.

From Settings:

You can also select files for syncing from Settings. This is the second method of selecting data for synchronizing.

To directly selecting files from settings,

•    On the system tray, click to the up arrow icon.

•    Here you’ll see the OneDrive (Cloud) icon. Right-click on it.

•    From the popup options, select Settings.

•    Confirm that ‘Accounts’ tab is opened.

•    Now, go to ‘Choose folders’ and then select files or folder.

Backing up files or folder to OneDrive

•    The above files or folders you’ve selected will be added to your OneDrive folder, so to view them, go to OneDrive folder.

•    If OneDrive folder contains all the files that you want to sync then check the box of ‘Make all files available’.

•    To sync only selected folder, tick the box ‘Make this folder visible’ for that folder only.

The selected files or folder will synchronize to your OneDrive online storage.

Managing folders of OneDrive

•    Go to OneDrive Login page.

•    Log in with your OneDrive account’s username and password. You’ll see the files and folders stored on your OneDrive on the next screen.

•    To view items of a folder just click on that folder to open it.

•    If you want to do anything with a file like Move, copy, delete, Rename, Download then just right-click on that file.

•    Drag a file or folder of your system and move it ‘OneDrive page’ to directly upload them.

•    To get accidentally deleted documents you can open Recycle bin and also recover deleted file or folder from there.

Stop Syncing

You can directly uninstall OneDrive to stop syncing files or folders of your device. However, if you’re unable to do this or you don’t want to uninstall OneDrive for any reason, then you can also disable syncing manually.

To disable syncing,

•    On the system tray, click to the up arrow icon.

•    Here you’ll see the OneDrive (Cloud) icon. Right-click on it.

•    From the popup options, select Settings.

•    Go to the ‘Settings’ tab.

•    And then select ‘Turn off’.

It doesn’t matter on which platform you’re, either you’re on Windows, Mac, laptop, or mobile device. You can manage your online OneDrive account from any of them.
