btw I know a lot of people didn't like it but with "We tried your approach," Siuan did kind of have a point!
Like, obviously there are extenuating circumstances. Like the fact that, when Rand left, they (I think????) had no idea that he would still urgently be needed because they didn't yet realize what had actually happened
Also, the fact that Moiraine is a mess who WISHES she had something as strong as duct tape to hold herself together (or would, if she knew what duct tape was)
but like... as soon as Moiraine realized what had really happened, arguably, in terms of the big picture, she ABSOLUTELY should've gone to Siuan about it
She thinks the fate of the world requires her protecting Rand, and she's having a giant crisis about the fact that she doesn't think she can do that (especially alone and without the One Power)
And....yeah, I do think that as soon as Moiraine realized she probably couldn't protect Rand - or even that they were fucked and she needed to FIND him - she should've gone to someone with the power to actually help her about it
Tactically, she SHOULD have availed herself of the massive resources that were 1) Lan's help, and 2) the much more massive resource of the Amyrlin Seaet being her co-conspiritor
But she didn't. Because she was emotionally compromised.
Her reasons for not doing that are understandable. Clearly, her response when in this much pain is to lock everything down and trust no one and give nothing away, which, like, fucking relatable tbh
But tactically, letting herself indulge that, and continue indulging it for so long, esp when she had to go on the run with Rand and wasn't sure she could protect him? That was a mistake
She could've probably got Siuan's help setting them up somewhere hidden for training boot camp (though it seems like the show is saying they maybe need a male magic user to train Rand??? but not sure), and actually used some of those six months getting him trained
But she didn't. And now Lanfear has got Rand, and just about all the cards, too
Siuan obviously didn't handle things perfectly either. But she was also right, at least about this part of things

I kinda maybe put a lot of my OC plot tag lines on a Wheel and gave it a spin so outta 79 options, it landed on "Cellphone Justice" which is... these two.
Matthew "Skittles" Mouse and Daisy Eddington
Partners in justice (of sorts). They're basically vigilantes and their orders are simply text messages. They don't really know who their bosses are but they do as they are told.
Skittles is a very mediocre guy. Doesn't stand out. The most color he has in his wardrobe is blue jeans. He's amazingly asexual and has zero interest in romance regardless of intimacy and yet he gets partnered with Daisy. The gayest lady he has ever met. Great start. She enjoys calling him fun little nicknames but seeing as they're monitored closely (via cell phones/technology) she is scolded and told to pick a single one. So she does. She dubs him Skittles. The candy as gay as her.
The one thing they have in common is their number one weakness: cute girls.
Daisy turns into a stuttering MESS of a human being. A disaster. At the mere sight of a cute girl. Skittles on the other hand is TERRIFIED of them. When asked, he simply blames his life growing up. Daisy doesn't really push the matter just thinks it's a little weird to be scared of every single cute girl (no offense to the not being afraid of her taken).

jmah!dream tries to apologize to techno for giving up information about him so easily, but techno waves him off. "nah, nah, don't worry about it. i've been busy since you've been in here, got so much stuff you don't even know about. you could tell sam every single thing you know about me and it wouldn't affect me at all."
whether or not the lie sounds convincing is up to you :)
In the cell, Dream doesn't get to say too much - Sam is there, for one, and he's also just. Trying not to think too much about it, about how much he's betrayed himself, his allies, how terribly weak he was for the slightest reprieve that wouldn't even last. He's no stranger to this shame - it's not like he had much to do in the cell, really, but think, but with Techno actually in here and Sam using his faltering under pressure against him the humiliation is all that much harder to handle.
After Techno breaks him out, there's probably a moment kinda like what happened with the note - I didn't mean to, he's been- been torturing me, he made me give him intel- trying to explain, trying to sound apologetic, trying to be good.
As for Techno...it's hard for him to be anything along the lines of actually resentful at Dream for you know, being tortured. Unlike canon, even, he's not really been personally affected by Sam's whole deal at all. Ranboo never gets imprisoned, never dies. Techno never gets trapped in the cell for three months. Nothing Dream has disclosed has had any real, tangible effects on his well-being or that of his allies - while Dream is shaking, here, in front of him - very obviously starved, very obviously tortured, very obviously having been through hell. He's still bleeding from Quackity's latest visit, all but holding onto Techno to stand up.
Techno knows about being forced to do things against his will, having his agency stripped away by those with more power, dehumanized by people he's trusted. Right now, his priority is getting himself and Dream out of this place. He can't really be mad at Dream. Not for this.
