And there’s also the final episode of that season where MK just grow very big to try to fight LBD. I just love that part of his power and I have seen very little people showing it. Like, sometimes that power can show up when the poor boy is experiencing overwhelming emotions that can’t be contained anymore, or pure exhaustion. For example, Having many responsibility can lead to a lot of stress and exhaustion and at some point MK just can’t do more and just become tiny, not able to do more. On the opposite, maybe he experience trauma again through a nightmare (like about azure for example) and the emotional burden is to much and he just becomes big because of that. You see my vision? I love sizeshifting base on emotions :)

7: Where did the title come from?

Bury Me Low by 8 Graves! I was listening to this song a LOT when conceptualizing the fic and I feel like the whole thing kinda describes Zane in the fic. In retrospect, I do kinda wish I had named it something smoother, I had a few ideas for what I might change it to (Inside the Dark, Forsaken Dark, and [redacted because i might be using it for another project teehee]) but I do like Never the Dark and I think i'll keep it lol

10: Why did you choose this pairing for this particular story?

Polyninja because I love them and the fucked up relationship dynamic post zanedeath called to me.

Pixal/Skylor has always been awesome but I included it here specifically because of how I view their character actions in the three year time skip. Skylor joins the ninja a few month after Zane dies and despite the fact that they don't harbor any ill will towards her, Zanes absence is a fresh wound that it feels like she's trying to step into. It makes everyone bleed. No one is coping well and things get messy and tense between skylor, the ninja, and pixal until Skylor has a mental breakdown and removes herself from the team (trauma response due to the nature of how her father raised her.) Skylor was never part of the team- she's not been there from the beginning, so she's an outsider. And so is Pixal. (Not intentionally of course, but the others share a different kind of grief that the two don't.) Cyrus eventually convinced Pixal to go to therapy where she gets some clarity on things and reaches out to Sky to apologize again for any role she played in the teams tension with her. She invites Skylor over for dinner and they accidentally end up talking for 6 hours- and the rest is history

(Skylor IS on good terms with the ninja btw. they apologized and hashed things out- but she won't rejoin the team for a lot of different reasons.)

Coppershipping my beloved. new-ish in the ficverse! They were starting to be more friendly with eachother after zanedeath, and that progressed post s11. Dareth took his grief at losing Zane as motivation to get in better shape and actually try and train, so he hits the gym and puts on a lot of muscle. takes up boxing. He wants to be able to do more to help if something happens again. He ends up putting his new skills to use protecting Cyrus from something or another and Cyrus asks him to be his bodyguard. They spend a lot of time together and fall in love teeheehee

oh man. Is it bad to say the fact that it's almost finished? I'm just really proud I've been able to stick with it and put in the time and effort. I've got a pretty spotty track record with chaptered work- i lose motivation and drop things a lot, unfortunately. But i'm still dedicated to finishing NTD!

Context (since I scarcely post Restart AU): New game plus with Narinder as the player character in a different timeline/universe because he doesn't want to rule his dying one

In this doodlecomic, Narinder gets temporarily cursed with blindness after defeating Leshy, almost as if to make him experience and reflect upon what his brother endured for years. Even if he's a different Narinder who experienced a different dynamic with his old timeline's siblings. And this happens with each Bishop he defeats. Imagine Narinder wanting to talk shit but coughing up blood. Or him getting jumpscared constantly since he can't hear anything. Or him [redacted for dark humor]. Turns out I posted some doodles/wrote things on the convo and idea ages ago too? gross old drawings

For those unable to see the pictures and in case my handwriting is too squished/it's unclear where it belongs in each panel, I've included the script below (and ah shit included a redone scriptsnippet of Narinder and Allani's first meeting in the new timeline):

Perhaps this is what he experienced in the millenium (oops, I misspelled millennium) after my imprisonment. 7 Allani: (crosses arms, surprised by the event) So wait, the Bishop of Chaos blinded you? 8 Allani: (chuckles and glances away, amused) How ironic… Narinder: (from offscreen) SILENCE! 9 Narinder: (clenches left hand into a fist, looking aside with contempt) I refused to be deterred from my mission! I know not how long it may be until my eyes recover… 10 Narinder: (looks at reader with determination) But this is nothing. 11 Allani: (from the perspective from Narinder kneeling on the ground, her hand extended to him as she looks annoyed about his grandstanding) Well, if you're going to spend a while recovering from your injuries again, at least do it indoors, Death God. Grab my hand, I'm taking you back to your Temple. 12 Narinder: (irritated, unwilling to accept her assistance) Hmf! An aside, the line "Reveal yourself!" might be a callback to their first meeting where she approaches from behind with a weapon? Or at least I like to think so:

Allani: (approaches Narinder from behind, spear pointed at his back) Stop! You intrude upon the soil blessed by The One Below. Who are you? Narinder: (wearing his hood) Hmf! I am no enemy. Allani: (presses spear into his back) How can I know when I can't even see your face? Reveal yourself! Narinder: (pulls back hood and looks over his shoulder at her) You gaze upon the God of Death, foolish lamb. Consider yourself fortunate that I feel merciful today. (he turns and pushes the spear away, drawing himself to his full height in an attempt to intimidate her) Allani: (laughs, incredulous of his claim) The God of Death? Hah! I see no Red Crown on your head! Only Master Ratau has been granted that privilege! okay obviously growing up with a technology gives you a more native understanding of it than coming to it later in life but I've been wildly underestimating my audacity skills for years I think and it's all because my high school had laptops with audacity on them and I was in the very first small test cohort of the first year they did personal laptops for students. so my experience is very much not universal, but I've been using the program just casually since I was 11 years old. and to be fair, I absolutely had a special interest in audio and sound design even back then, lol, so I am still probably more experienced than most of my classmates from the same group just by virtue of being really autistic about it.

but now I'm starting to work in community radio, and these older radio professionals are absolutely thrilled to hear the level of experience I have and think I'll be a great asset to the team... waow... so that's where i am as of typing this. i haven't saved yet. i'm torn on saving to my designated weird route slot and then exiting/reloading my untouched pacifist save or stupidly deciding this in fact has no real negative consequences and google whether this is secret boss-related. i'm gonna look around just a little more before deciding but im leaning towards option one.

6/5 2:30 pm so the thing about jumping off the face of the internet was an exaggeration; i'm in and have been regularly checking a deltarune watch party server. with the help of someone in there i figured out i was right the first time about it just being a secret boss thing + how to fully trigger it all. i also realized i turned my ch3 weird route slot into a pacifist save with a partly completed sidequest on it so it's time to copy and then erase. i also accidentally exposed myself to a spoiler juicy yet vague enough to further intrigue me. more on that later.

Most hits: O, Brother Mine. Unsurprisingly, since the one piece fandom is huge af and it was first posted when there was almost no fics with that premise. Actually, last i checked, there still wasn't all that much! What are you people doing out there!!!!

Second most kudos: folding paper. Also no surprise for the exact reasons stated above. I have 11 work in there, and tbh, i'm expecting them to take all places

Third most comments: both works of Heartbeat Aflame share this one. Again, anyone surprised? No one surprised. Moving on

Fourth most bookmarks: seafoam was actually my favourite to write from all 11 of my works there. Love me some characters that live unfathomably long the time blurs between millennia- wonder why i'm in isat now. COUGH loop COUGH
