Good morning Amity Park, I'm your ghostly weatherman, Lance Thunder. Today's Thursday, May 15, and there's a 20% chance of rain. Highs are in the high eighties, and the lows are in the low sixties.

Skulker has been spotted all across Amity Park this morning. He appears to be searching for something. Strangely enough though, it doesn’t appear that what he’s searching for is Danny Phantom, his usual target. Phantom seems to have approached Skulker at 8:53 this morning, but was ignored.

The damage on Main Street and Orchard Avenue has been repaired. These roads are now entirely open.

The Fentons will likely not be driving today, as their RV is undergoing repairs.

I love 15. I do. I think Ncuty is an extraordinary actor and he was perfect to play the Doctor.

But.

I wish his talents were used better.

I wish, instead of having him say to 14 "we're healed now, I'm the trauma-free version of us", that he (RTD) showed us his gradual changing, him becoming this new, emphatic Doctor, the one that actually says "I love you" when it matters

(somewhere the doomsday theme started playing and someone is crying. Might be me, we'll never know).

Because I cannot lie and say it didn't feel out of character after so many years of knowing the Doctor as the versions we were shown before and I'm also not saying one is better, just that the jump between the two felt too out of the blue (box) to actually be genuine.

God, or whoever, knows that you don't heal from trauma just by getting a new face and personality, you do so by trial and error and painful effort and I just wish RTD had focused on that instead of presenting us with this new version of the Doctor from the start. And yes, there are a few times in which he goes back to that other angry person he was before but it's never addressed properly or it's just resolved in two lines and disappears to never be mentioned again.

I thought it was a great thing when Belinda called him out for reading her DNA without her consent because it put into perspective the fact that we as the viewer had become so trusting of the Doctor that it didn't seem a big deal until someone mentioned it. And his reaction was so good too, Idk if I'm reading too much into Ncuti's performance but before apologizing he actually seemed irked and that was in character because the Doctor is not used to being questioned. This is just a small example of something that could have been a great thing to explore and it just wasn't.

It could have been an amazing plot and an amazing new start if RTD just focused on the characters instead of bending them to the insane plot he was concocting, a plot that would have been fine if the characters stood at the centre of it.
