My own thoughts under cut

I agree very much with everything that was said in the original post, and it all resonated with me very strongly.

I feel like, because he spent so long putting others before himself and repressing his own desires to be more likeable, the only things he wanted when the Winged Lion attacked him were to find Delgal, to keep the kingdom safe, and to have the royal family eat together with him again (why he has all the plates set up, and can still taste the nightmare shellfish). If that's the case, desires he had for himself may not have even been present for the Winged Lion to eat. Instead, once those desperate wishes were gone, the things Thistle wanted for himself might begin to resurface... I thought something like that might be possible because he was smiling instead of numb like Mithrun had once been, and his memories of Delgal returned even though the Winged Lion took away his desire to see him again.

I also have OCD, and relate a lot to how desperate and agitated Thistle is all the time. I think it would be nice if what he lost were his compulsions and feelings of obligation rather than his sense of self, because I don't want freedom from compulsions to only be possible in death. I want to believe he can breathe deeply and feel the sunlight again, and I had also thought it would be nice for him to live by the sea. But that's all just my selfish headcanon

engineer is, contrary to popular belief, a bad cook. this is owing from a lot of things, the most significant being that things he needs to account for within very short spans of time stress him out, and he considers all the imperfect measurements and subjective waypoints of it the constant bane of his existence. engy is not a man who improvises; he plans, painstakingly, works through the diagrams in his head if he needs to, but he does not work 'on the spot'. such an ideal is antithetical to everything he stands for and everything he's ever done.

he makes do with recipes, sometimes, barely, as long as they're clear, concise, and exact. he refuses to stray, whatsoever, even if a simple addition would undoubtedly make whatever he's trying to cook better. with this loophole, he has managed to convince a significant portion of the team that he is, if nothing else, competent; a stealthy application of boxed pancake mix or "just add water!" prepackaged stuffing now and then helps to maintain the carefully cultivated illusion. while he does find it nicely contributes to his constructed persona, of a practical, generous kinda guy, it helps somewhat that he finds the concept of anyone knowing he's absolutely incapable of making spaghetti unless he's reading the directions straight off the side of the box horribly embarrassing.

one warm summer evening, engineer finds himself at the grocery store having made a promise too far, and can imagine nothing but his eight hungry teammates back at the base, soon to be sitting in front of the grill and expecting authentic texan barbecue, just like he made at home three times a week, which was the slightest bit of an exaggeration. and, well, he's just lucky no one on the team's from the South, and when he brings home a precooked rack of ribs, chars them to shit on the grill, and dumps three bottles of lukewarm barbecue sauce over them, no one can tell the difference, and when they complain about it engineer gets to tell them all what unrefined yankee palates they all have. his secret's safe for now. he solemnly resolves to talk less about his eating habits in the future, lest his luck run out

i have always maintained that persona 5 should have a female player character option, but unlike persona 3, i believe this should change absolutely nothing else about the game. same dialogue, same confidants, just change the pronouns and character model. the only exception to this is changing akechi’s gender too because their relationship wouldn’t be the same without the weird gay tension rivalry. what if we were narrative foils… and we were both girls. what if we beat the shit out of each other in mementos and we were both girls. do you understand my vision. you do.

What was wrong with it? The only thing I didn’t like was that Carlos went from saying how bad the Rangers were as an institution in the previous episode but then he was suddenly okay going off and taking the law in his own hands the next as if he’s also not under an institution that facilitates white supremacy and his very act of wanting to take the law in his own hands is exactly what is wrong with people in his profession

I'll put this under a read more because apparently my opinion is vv unpopular.

Wyatt/Judd storyline: I know this is a ridiculous drama show and I shouldn't take it seriously but... as someone who works in the healthcare system and has spent a large portion of my career in rehab....... this was just the most disability!saviour bullshit. Judd taking Wyatt home to try and rehab him, himself? Not having Wyatt have his own autonomy in that? Wyatt not being told by physicians (even though he is an adult, with capacity) about his prognosis? Wyatt requires long term, specialized rehab with professionals who are experts in their field? I don't know this entire plot line rubbed me so wrong.

Robert/Owen storyline: We didn't know Robert well enough for this to be as "heart breaking" as the writers intended. So much valuable time in these episodes was dedicated to this but as a viewer I felt disconnected from what was happening. And for the final moments to go to that (very triggering death scene) over a hopeful, joyful moment of Tarlos on their honeymoon was a fucked-up choice.

Gabriel: I wonder if there will come a day when writers recognize that you don't need to kill off characters to advance other character's storylines. A much more impactful (and less lazy) way to move Carlos' progression forward would have been to keep Gabriel alive and have them work through their issues. Growth, healing, communication. Isn't that so much more beautiful and poignant that a shocking and traumatizing death that was simply used for shock value? On a similar note, what the hell was the point of the Reyes sisters? I wish he stayed an assumed only child. The rehearsal dinner was full of characters we didn't know or care about (save Tarlos, Owen, and Gabriel/Andrea).

Tarlos: There literally wasn't a conversation between them at their own wedding....... They were in the background for the entirety of the reception. We got literally 6 seconds of a honeymoon. Tim fucking cut all of the scenes they used to promo the wedding that we all went feral over. How much more was probably filmed that we didn't get? And for what? All of 4.18 TK felt like a prop just there to further Carlos' arc. For Carlos to again end up LYING and DECEIVING "the love of his life." This arc may have worked if it was spread out for an entire season. But to try and shove it into half an episode? It felt incredibly rushed and the writing felt sloppy. All the rhetoric of Tarlos and the viewers' "earning" the wedding. Why can't they be happy after everything? Why can't we enjoy their wedding without having to earn anything? They use Tarlos to advertise and promote and when it comes down to it the show runners don't deliver and delete half their scenes and pretend they care about "representation."

Queer characters and queer viewers deserve authentic and happy plot lines that are not OVERSHADOWED by trauma and grief. I truly would have rathered they postponed the wedding until season 5 rather than thrown it on at the end like they did. It didn't feel right. Where was the joy they promised? Nothing could've made up for what we went through prior.

But none of the ABOVE even mattered when it came down to the wedding because as a viewer, I was fucking reeling from watching Gabriel's needless death that I didn't even process what I was seeing. They tainted the wedding for fucking ever. I've rewatched the vows but I can't even fully invest in them. While it was airing, I wanted to turn it off. I didn't want to watch. I was stunned, numb, and angry. Those emotions are now what I relate to the supposed "Tarlos Wedding" episode. It may have been better honestly split into 2 weeks so that the viewers could process and prepare.

Anyways... that's a little bit of what I'm feeling.

Sidenote... For anyone who has experienced the loss of a parent (I have and i think that's what made this ep so hard for me), my ask/inbox is always open. Your feelings are valid and I hope you're all taking care of yourself after last night.

Kurumi & Lambo are playing around during after-school hours but then, a series of idiotic and unfortunate events led to a malfunctioning 10-year bazooka finding its way to the Disciplinary Committee Leader, Hibari. Apparently, he switched places with his past self. (This takes place during Daily Life Arc)

This was inspired from @social-muffin's suggestion! It was only supposed to be the rkgk above but then it went out of control and now I made some comic out of it 👁️👄👁️

It's been a while since I made long comic like this and I didn't really have it planned when I started drawing it so I just went with whatever *looks* like it would be ok.

For this one, I did plan on making Kana & Younger!Hibari's dynamic into something similar to a common trope in manhwa: Emotionally Constipated Cold Father (Kana) & Traumatized/Neglected Affection-starved Daughter (Younger!Hibari) 🤣🤣🤣 Then after some development, the father is now somehow super overprotective of the daughter 😆😆

I already have an ending that I can imagine for this scenario, but I'm still considering if I should draw a next part eventually 🫡🫡
