The "I forgot to upload these” Hair Dump  - Remi V3 + V2 Black

I made most of these several months ago and then never got around to uploading them, so I might as well post them - alongside some more recent hair retextures - all at once.

WHAT YOU GET: 24 hairs in total, for both male and female sims (but mostly female sims). While I could only fit the above 9 images into this post, there are previews in the folders for every single one - including back views for some of them, and two previews for the unisex hairs. Full list - including ages and poly counts - under the cut.

Police in White Rock, B.C., say they are increasing patrols along the city's waterfront area after a man was stabbed to death Tuesday night, two days after another man was stabbed and injured while sitting on a bench in the same area. Family members have identified the victim in the fatal stabbing as 27-year-old Kulwinder Sohi of Surrey. White Rock RCMP says it received a report of a man suffering from apparent stab wounds around 9:30 p.m. PT in the 15400 block of Marine Drive, a few blocks east of the White Rock Pier.

the taste buds' xp leveling

i finally got around to writing this up. you would not believe the number of npc statblocks i pored through for this. anyway, this is in honor of the anniversary of the finale of acoc.

same stipulations as the previous analyses:

xp for encounters is evenly divided six ways

monsters are either taken directly from the phb and other source materials or i calculate their CR based on dpr and other statistics

some opponents/encounters will have contextual multipliers--generally these are applied to account for the number of opponents, but may also account for other complicating factors such as environmental hazards, puzzles/traps, and the addition of other objectives to the battles.

as always, this is a combination of statistics and my own meta.

a crown of candy:

in contrast to previous seasons, a crown of candy really got into high numbers of low-mid level opponents. it's intentionally deadly and thus has more factors to account for with regard to the environment and number of enemies. there's a lot of ambushes.

ambush on the sucrosi road: the simplest battle to calculate, with standard enemies at a small range of CR.

cheese marauders: CR 1. they could easily ambush a level 1 character, but the level 3s were able to take care of them. total of 12 defeated, and a 1.5x modifier for number/ambush, for a total of 1800 XP

total XP count: 3600 XP, or 600 each

the grand tournament: this one is a little different, by virtue of being a staggered tournament with elements of subterfuge rather than a straight up battle. everyone collectively gets xp, and there's a multiplier because of the difficulty of the encounter in general, but none of the opponents are permanently defeated. keep in mind that the npcs here show up again but retain the same stat-blocks; for them to be fair opponents later on they're pretty powerful in this particular fight.

plumbeline uvano: CR 3, for 1050 XP

chiquito citron: CR 2, for 675 XP

linguina freccia: CR 2, for 675 XP

captain annabelle cheddar: CR 3, for 1050 XP

sir bonathan: CR 4, for 1650 XP

constano grissini: CR 5, for 2700 XP

keradin deeproot: CR 9, for 7500 XP. i based keradin off of the champion statblock.

scravoya myaso: CR 2, for 675 XP

total XP count: 15975 XP, or 2663 each

chaos in the cathedral: another ambush. also, another super deadly encounter, given that the taste buds were outnumbered, and up against much higher-level opponents. no mods because while the enemies were higher level, they spent most of their time escaping, save lapin. the imperial guard count includes the archers.

keradin deeproot: CR 9, for 5000 XP

pontifex belizabeth brassica: CR 9 for 5000 XP. i placed her level with keradin given the legendary resistances.

imperial guards: CR 2, with a total of 8 and a 1.5x modifier for number, for a total of 5400 XP

total XP count: 15400 XP, or 2567 each

deep bleu sea: actually a simpler combat than the previous; the cheese marauders get modifiers to account for the environment. this battle had a ton of shenanigans, from jet sending stilton to the depths, liam being an invisible peppermint batman, theo using swirlwarden to get up into the boat, cumulous' arrival, amethar pushing boats around, ruby's acrobatics, etc.

cheese marauders: CR 1, and 12 defeated, for a total of 10800 XP

stilton curdeau: CR 4, for 2200 XP, based on his hp and dpr

total XP count: 8750 XP, or 2167 each

safe harbor / blood & bread: in terms of difficulty it's a challenge to gauge this encounter because the party is separated and dealing with varying degrees of opponents; liam & the princesses are facing two higher level opponents plus soldiers, while amethar is facing calroy, and theo & cumulous only really faced the soldiers.

imperator ciabatta: CR 9, at a 0.5x modifier because they didn't harm him much, for 2500 XP

ceresian warriors: CR 1, with 4 total, adding up to 800 XP

constano grissini: CR 5, for 1800 XP

muffinfield soldiers: CR 1 each, with 7 defeated for a total of 1400 XP. they did not defeat the estimated 30, and thus do not get the XP from them, though they did complicate the encounter

calroy cruller: CR 8, at a 0.5x modifier because he's not actually harmed during this, for 1950 XP

total XP count: 8450 XP, or 1458 each

rescue at buzzybrook: first encounter with saccharina and it really hits different; this is technically more difficult than the previous encounters but doesn't read that way because of how handily they dealt with it.

oliver onionpatch: CR 5, for 1800 XP, based on his hp count

sir bonathan flashfry: CR 4, for 1100 XP

constano grissini: CR 5, for 1800 XP. he's in so many of these it's kind of crazy

ceresian warriors: CR 1, with 12 total, and a 1.5x modifier for number, for 3600 XP

vegetanians: CR 1, with 12 total, and a 1.5x modifier for number, for 3600 XP

total XP count: 11900 XP, or 1983 each

encounter at the ice cream temple: a hugely challenging encounter. i based her stats off of lich stats, given some of her abilities, but with an altered spell list.

sugar plum fairy: CR 22, with 1.5x modifier for the environmental hazards, for 61500 XP

total XP count: 61500 XP, or 10250 each

for candia!: a split encounter; some of the enemies here are individuals, many are units of soldiers. some that we have seen previously have been adjusted to account for being a swarm/mob rather than individuals; brennan describes them as being defined by size rather than hp--with each attempt the units can inflict casualties rather than doing specific minute damage.

while this is an overwhelming battle, the taste buds do benefit from troops: the monks of the order of the spinning star, the forces of house jawbreaker, the knights of north gumbia, saccharina's troops, cinnamon, etc. each character rolls for their troops as a functional extension of themself, e.g. granting sneak attack, shielding for the group. they split the difference in order to take out some of the enemies that were within the castle walls. everything gets a 2x modifier to reflect the difficulty of this battle.

keradin deeproot: CR 9, for 10000 XP. he died having a crisis of faith.

plumbeline uvano: CR 3, for 1400 XP. liam gets her in a single round.

pontifex belizabeth brassica: CR 9, for 10000 XP. falls from the castle pathetically

constano grissini: CR 5, for 3600 XP. dies on the battlefield.

calroy cruller: CR 8, for 7800 XP. struck down as a traitor to shit his pants one last time.

imperator ciabatta: CR 9, for 10000 XP.

meatlander mercenaries: CR 4, with 2 deployed units, for 4400 XP.

meatlander dogs: CR 2, with 2 deployed units, for 1800 XP.

vegetanian infantry: CR 2, with 4 deployed units, for 3600 XP.

vegetanian cavalry: CR 4, with 2 deployed units, for 4400 XP.

fructeran archers: CR 3, with 2 deployed units, for 2800 XP.

chariots: CR 5, with 2 deployed units, for 7200 XP.

ceresian archers: CR 4, with 2 deployed units, for 4400 XP.

ceresian warriors: CR 2, with 4 deployed units, for 3600 XP.

ballistae: CR 6, with 4 deployed units, for 18400 XP.

total XP count: 93400 XP, for 15567 each

overall season total: 218975 XP, or 36495 each. assuming the established leveling pattern from the rest of this series, they would be hovering around level 8 by the end of the season, rather than the 10 they actually were at.

final comments:

the taste buds went through a lot in a few weeks. they had some significant party comp changes from both PC deaths as well as some of the class recomp we saw throughout the season.

they start pretty low magic: rogues, a ranger, fighter, barbarian, and a warlock pretending to be a holy man. they were susceptible to ambush, at risk without a major healer, and lower level than many of the people around them.

in the midst of it all, they lose lapin and jet and gain cumulous and saccharina--replacing their one lost martial and one lost caster, specifically filling in their niches.

by the end of the season, they have a full caster with high dps and heals, 3 partial casters, and a lot of multiclasses. 2 rogues, 2 sorcerers, 2 fighters, plus the other base classes (ranger, cleric, monk, barbarian)

in contrast to the dream team, they have martial specialties: liam and ruby as assassin-type rogues, jet and cumulous as dex-type combatants, and amethar and theo as party tanks, though theo's is based on high ac deflecting attacks and amethar's is based on rage/hp. lapin and saccharina are very different as primary casters; lapin having more single target spells, rp spells, and low-level heals, while saccharina has a ton of aoe, and some low-level heals.

the presence of saccharina specifically means brennan gets whomped a bit by combat proceedings, since they're generally balanced for a lower magic party, and she breaks that pattern by coming in at level 8.

their combat style alternates between leading troops/allies and stealth missions. by the end, they have a pattern of liam going off to assassinate, saccharina splitting off to cast, amethar and theo leading the troops, and ruby and cumulous splitting the difference.

in terms of opponents, they generally face big groups of low-midlevel enemies with a few high level commanders/figureheads. the only fight that breaks the pattern is the sugar plum fairy fight. it is possible that we'd have seen more classic monster fights if they had done the intended meatlands arc, but as it stands, the taste buds are assassins and commanders.

brennan included some complex mechanics throughout in terms of environment, the most extremely examples being the sinking colby and the temple of the sugar plum fairy, as well as complex political dynamics, including the grand tournament, the cathedral ambush, the hanging of joren jawbreaker, and the final siege of castle candy
