amount of sleep: usually 6-7 hours, I recently got diagnosed with mild sleep apnea so I wake up literally every hour or two and i have to use a cpap 😔

dream job: hmm well I guess I’m working it right now (I’m a therapist)? when I was a kid I wanted to be on broadway (I was big into musical theater/choir)… now I honestly kinda don’t really “enjoy” working in general even though there are parts of my job that I enjoy. I honestly get the most satisfaction out of doing things I like for my own enjoyment (like writing and drawing) rather than for monetary gain.

movie/book that describes me the most: uhhhhhh I guess I’d say LotR, I very much relate to Frodo lol (which is one of the reasons he’s my pfp on my main blog). I also love its portrayal of wholesome masculinity and kindness/goodness conquering all.

favorite song: hard to choose… there’s literally so many I like lol. I really love 1of1 (both the album and the song) by SHINee (my fave kpop group)

favorite instrument: I would say the mandolin or the fiddle

favorite aesthetics: I really enjoy the vibe of whimsigoth, though my personal style does not incorporate it. I attempted it a couple years ago but felt it was too femme - nowadays I wear “fashionable” men’s clothes (layers, button-ups, men’s jeans)

favorite author: Charlotte Brontë simply because I love Jane Eyre so much. She made me feel so many emotions with that novel 😭 I related to Jane a bit too much

random fun fact: hmmmm well I was the lead in two different musicals when I was in high school which was pretty neat! I mentioned somewhere above that I wanted to be on broadway growing up so that’s the closest i’ve gotten to that lmao

what are your favorite places to shop for clothes i have a hard time finding anything thats my style

Honestly low key brands or small designers is where its at. I like shopping on ebay and Depop (yes i say this a lot but 1of1 pieces or rare finds are what makes me happy). If shopping on ebay or depop be specific in what you’re looking for. Tip: shopping online is better.

Some amazing brands I’m loving for unique pieces is Sublimehavoc, endieu, dasyori, gemsbymadeline, oliviasade.co, donidotweb, aaasports56, visionbyneo, insigniamsa…. I could really keep going on and on.

Little accessories matter. Find cool winter accessories, tabi gloves, or a cool print glove. Cute beanies, chains, rings, sunglasses(oakley)…look for cute tote bags/leather bags. Vintage boots/heels. (If i knew your style I could help more)

I'm curious. What concept SHINee has done that you find the most interesting, the most well done, and the one that had potential but missed at execution?

hm! potential but missed at execution is DEFINITELY dcm, there was SO much promise in those first set of fake reality promo photos that was pushed aside for appropriative 4th gen nonsense that was not at all necessary. i don't really know what happened with the creative team there and why they got cold conceptual feet, but i'm very sad that they never pushed thru for the full twin peaks-y fake suburbia theme.

most well done? tie between odd and 10f1. both of them were SO influential to the industry that we're still very visibly seeing the effects of them almost a decade later. personally i would put 1of1 slightly farther ahead of odd just because the styling for 1of1 is one of THE best stylings of all time in the history of kpop, and they damn well knew it. i love odd + view so so deeply but its legacy has been a .....worsening of stylings over the last eight years bc it made companies realize they could just put idols in normal clothes and stop investing so much in costuming.

most interesting? hands down tsol. it's so rare to see such a beautiful monument of grief and love so thoughtfully executed. i've talked at length before about the choreographies from this era and how incredible they are, but the cohesiveness of the full album and its aesthetics of nostalgia and examination of their legacy as a group and how they set an optimistic tone for the future is so so so fascinating. i rewatch the tsol mvs (good evening/i want you/countless, not our page bc it makes sob uncontrollably) more than any other shinee mvs because there's endless ways to unpack them and the inherent dichotomy of deep personal grief and having to pretend to be a veneer of yourself as your job adds such a compelling layer to them.

Thinking about shairstyles (shinee hairstyles) and was hit with the image of a jjong mullet, thinking 1of1 hair color but as a mullet. Do you have favorite styles for the boys? Or ones you’d like to see?

jjong mullet oh 🥹 wouldn’t that be something! i bet he’d actually do it and it would look so good.. ah im a big big fan of all shullets but especially minho.. oh when he cut his hair my heart broke in half 💔 im still piecing it together honestly the wound is too fresh.. the way it was curly too OH stop i can’t even think about it that’s literally my minho. for key i actually love it most when it’s black and the length he had during dcm promo, it works so well for styling both up and down, and i also looooved this specific shorter black hair but he ofc eats anything (let’s remember when they ACTIVELY tried to make him look bad as a prank by giving him ugly cheap extensions and he literally served cunt LMAO #bestkeymoments), for jjong it’s always always the pink hair of course 🩷 even if it didn’t look as good as it did just his sheer enthusiasm about it is already enough to cement its spot as my favorite. jinki… most of the time im no better than a man when it comes to jinki i don’t care. but 1of1 was nice.. i like it long too.. any color is fine (all the shades of dark brown LMAO) but don’t ask me any color please. and for my taemin i loved skunk hair, the lucifer extensions were iconic but he hated them so i hate them too, however! the advice extensions he loved and i love them too. taemin is my guy honestly he’s always my prettiest princess genuinely no matter what so 💖
