Favorite dragons redesign: Part I - Class Strike

Decided to redesign some of my favorites in this series going class by class. Strike first. I actually love all dragons in this class, but I decided on three so as not to overdo it. Maybe I’ll do the Skrill and Deathgripper individually some time. Toothless isn’t here since I’ve already drawn him.

Some question about the lamb of penance 1. Can you or do you plan to develop more on the different class of the lamb of penance ?

2. In wich category would you put holy dart ?

3. Will you make more character in the lamp of penance or will it be only Dart and cream wafer ?

4. What is the functionment of the hierarchy in the lamb ?

5. On a scale from 1 to 10 how would you rate the fear of meeting a lamb in the middle of night ?

Sure!

Penitent Acolytes are your typical members, roughly 80% of the cult. They’re the force behind orchid planting, also tend to the Vanilla Kingdom in their king’s name. Also scouts and researchers, with many tasked with traveling Earthbread in search of things that benefit either the Saint or Bishop’s motives. Penitent Mages are spellcasters in the same vein as Saint, focusing on light magic for attack and defensive purposes. Penitent Knights and Duelists are also Lambs who defend the kingdom, or acolyte who are planting orchids across the world. While their blades may seem counterintuitive to Saint’s no-killing policy, they are actually magical: if cleaving through or stabbing, it does not gouge the dough to a lethal degree; instead, its lethality equates to the energy drained from the victim. A gash from the metal will make the attacked increasingly weary, and an otherwise lethal blow will render their entire body numb and debilitate them on the spot. It’s like a blade slicing through viscous honey: it can leave a deep mark, but the dough heals on its own. It’s suspected the magic of the blades are tied to the healing and energy-draining powers of the Beast.

Holy Dart is neither of these categories, as she stands above all of them as a special unit. However, she does share similarities with the Duelists, since she can also wield blades and fight with the rapid movements they have.

If the lore or story call for it, yes! There may be one who’s more of a(nother) paladin I might make. Someone has to oversee the lambs’ defenses…

Acolytes sit at the bottom, with Knights and Duelists sitting second. While considered on the same tier, Mages are slightly above them since their magic is more connected to the Beast’s. Holy Dart and others who Lambs report to are above them in their own tier of elites, and those elites are subservient to Cream Wafer. Saint Vanilla, whom the Bishop is undyingly loyal to, sits at the very top. While he’s at the highest position of power, he’s mostly their figure of worship. Not often does he give orders or survey the Lambs’ operations, as Wafer handles them diligently enough.

Depends on which Lamb it is. An Acolyte can be a typical grunt encounter, though unsettling by nature. The scare factor increases as you up the tier; if Wafer’s encountered in the middle of the night, then it’s guaranteed Holy Dart is nearby and ready to render you immobile if you lift a finger. If it’s Saint, you’re already at his mercy.

Yay for babies! Also yay for streamlining designs. Lilac and Quiver have been tweaked a bit (and Quiver will continue to get tweaked as she grows) to make their markings easier to remember.

In game, Lilac is a med cat, but RNG says he's bad at it. Works for me, bc in cannon he is not a healer officially yet. Also, herbalist and wounder are two different specialties a healer may have. Herbalist is more medicinal and gathering, where Wounder is "removing dirt from injury/resetting bone/cleaning etc"

The fact that Mike's hatred of Dart is entirely on behalf of Will. The first scene with him, he's grossed out like everybody but mostly curious and asking questions. After Will tells him it's worrying him, he becomes extremely argumentative, even arguing to kill it, and stands in front of Will when they release it.

But the main reason I noticed was because in 2x04, while the rest of the party's plot is finding Dart, his plot is getting to Will. The only time he even participates is in an early scene during which he mentions that he thinks Will will be there. From when he realizes Will is absent on, he completely dismisses Dart and his sole goal is concern for Will.

Because it was never about Dart. It was about Will feeling safe <3.
