Not even his gang, or Kuki are the first to see you, nah it’s Itto himself,

he literally finds 12 yr old you just sneaking around in awe in Chinju Forest,

and needless to say ur pretty fascinated with the colors and the vibes, and it’s not like Genshin Impact existed when u were this young, ur poor younger self is just rlly paranoidly looking around

Itto is kinda a lot at first, and he was a little confused by ur constant rubbing your arms, or tapping ur fingers on stuff, (or all the stims u be doing when ur nervous) but he just took it all in stride

so Itto, after like an hour and a few well placed rocks at his face and groin by 12 yr old u who was ready to fight to the death at first, FINALLY convinced you by drawing a little picture of his house and his friends

and all that clear effort, despite the foreign world, foreign non-human guy, etc., made you warm up to him too, afterall, even 12 yr old you knew a himbo when they saw one 💪

at first he just thought you were another person who was getting powered up by that yokai he felt (he was convinced thats what you were when u weren’t physically here before, like some kind of powerful gift giving/deal making yokai)

but after he saw you shapeshift the next morning into 16 yr old you, (he lives with his grandma so ur younger self felt pretty safe staying with a himbo guy and an little grandma lady)

  Through the Bible with Les Feldick LESSON 3 * PART 2 * BOOK 61 THE GLORIOUS PROMISES TO ISRAEL - PART 2 ISAIAH 54:1 – 57:1 Let’s go back where we left off in Isaiah 54. We stopped with verse 7, so let’s look at that verse again for just a second. Isaiah 54:7a "For a small moment…" God says, for just a little bit of time, but like I pointed out at the end of the last program, how long has it been? About three thousand years that Israel has been going through tough times. They’ve had certain periods of relative quiet, but most of the time the Nation has been under turmoil, under the hatred of all the other nations of the world, and still waiting for the day when they will finally have their Messiah. Now, that’s why every Jew of any spiritual worth at all has a favorite saying, and what is it? "Next year Jerusalem." I always get a thrill out of the picture when they first captured the Temple Mount in the Six-day War. How those young Israeli soldiers, you could tell they were kids, 18-20 year olds, and how they were celebrating that they had finally gotten the Temple Mount. It is known only to God why the Israeli general at that time, Dayan, gave it back to the Muslims. He could have just kept it for Israel, but I guess he thought he was trying to maintain good relations, whatever, but he gave it back to the control of the Muslims, and so it’s been ever since. But, nevertheless, they have always had a heart-cry for a return to the city of Jerusalem. Isaiah 54:7 "For a small moment I have forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee." This is the hope of Israel. One day, they are still going to have all these Old Testament promises fulfilled and Christ Himself will be their King. Now, let’s go on into verse 8. Isaiah 54:8 "In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; (for a little while) but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer." Now there’s comparativeness. Here 3,000 years compared to eternity is what? A moment. None of us can have a concept of eternity. It’s just beyond us. But eternity is eternity is eternity. And 3,000 years of time as we know it is just (snap) nothing. All right, so he makes this comparison, now then, verse 9. Isaiah 54:9 "For this is as the waters of Noah (the Noahic Flood) unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so I have sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee." Now, what’s the comparison again? As soon as the floodwaters left and the rainbow appeared, what did God tell Noah? "That’s my covenant promise, the bow in the sky, that I will never again destroy planet earth with water." And that’s what we’re to be reminded of whenever we see the rainbow. That’s God’s covenant promise with mankind that He will never again destroy the earth with water. Has He? No! And will He? No! But what’s the reason for it here? To make the comparison, neither will He ever give up on Israel. They may rebel, they may be wicked, they may be sinful, they may be guilty of unbelief, but God will not give up on His chosen people. All right, let’s go back again and look at some Scripture verses. Let’s go back to II Samuel chapter 7, because this is one of the first promises that this is exactly the way it’s going to be. Israel will be rebellious, they’ll be sinful and wicked, but God will never withdraw His mercy from the Nation. All right, II Samuel chapter 7, and it’s being spoken by God through the prophet Nathan to David. Verse 14: Here’s the promise that God makes to David concerning the Nation. Not just Solomon by himself but the whole Nation. II Samuel 7:14 "I will be his father, and he shall be my son. (Now, He’s speaking here of the nation of Israel.) If he commit iniquity, (and we know they have and they will) I will chasten him with the rod of men, (What’d He mean? Invading armies, the enemies that would overrun them over and over and over again) and with the stripes of the children of men:" God would punish them. But now verse 15, what’s the first word?

II Samuel 7:15a "But (the flipside) my mercy shall not depart away from him,…" In other words, God will never, never give up on the nation of Israel. All right, now let’s jump up to Jeremiah a moment. Again, as I mentioned in our last program, there may be those who think that God is all through with the Jew. They may think that everything ended in 70 AD. But, I’ve got a question for them. Then what are you going to do with these verses? This is the Word of God. You can’t just throw it out and say, "Well, God has forgotten about it." No, He hasn’t. Jeremiah 31 and drop down to verse 35, now this is a promise of God concerning His earthly people. Jeremiah 31:35a "Thus saith the LORD, (Well, that’s all you need isn’t it? God said it!) which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar;…" I think that has a reference to the tide. You know, whenever we’re on a seacoast area, that is the one thing that still intrigues me – the tides. I just can’t fathom it that everything is so meticulously timed that they can set up schedules of the tides, way in advance. Unbelievable! But again, here is a reference to it. Jeremiah 31:36 "If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, (In other words, if all of a sudden the tides would stop going in and out, or if the sun or the moon should suddenly cease to function…) then the seed of Israel shall cease from being a nation before me forever. " But they haven’t departed. And Israel hasn’t stopped being a nation, nor will they. Jeremiah 31:37 "Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, (I think He’s speaking of the heaven of the heavens, the abode of God. He’s not just talking about space as we know it. He’s talking about the abode of God Himself, if that can be measured. If man can figure out where it’s at and find out the distance and everything, but it’ll never happen.) and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, (then God says,) I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD." But, He won’t because the promises are steadfast and sure that all of these promises are going to be fulfilled. Again, let’s jump all the way up to Zechariah, one of the great prophecy books in the Old Testament, other than Isaiah. Zechariah, chapter 14, I’d like to start at verse 1, because this is what the world is getting ready for tonight. The whole world, the planet, either in the natural forces of earthquakes and volcanoes and tidal waves and the power of weather, or whether it’s manmade weapons of mass destruction, everything is getting ready for these final moments of human history. Here’s where Zechariah culminates. It’s what we call the Battle of Armageddon. It’ll be the last great push that Satan will perform against the eternal coming Christ. These are all still future. Zechariah 14:1-3 "Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. (This is all spoken to Israel.) 2. For I will gather all nations (The whole world, now, you talk about a coalition, this is going to be a coalition and then some.) against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; (Sound familiar? That’s warfare. That’s the residue of armies.) and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3. Then (when it seems as though Jerusalem will disappear from history) shall the LORD go forth, (the Second Coming of Christ) and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle." Well, we know what’s going to happen from the Book of Revelation. He’s going to annihilate those nations brought together by the anti-Christ, and this will introduce, then, His peaceful appearance to set up the Kingdom. Zechariah 14:4a "And his feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem

on the east,…" The Mount of Olives? Does everybody know about the Mount of Olives? Well, I hope you do. On every tour we’ve ever taken to Israel, that’s one of our stops. We hope to go again next spring, and we’ll be standing on the Mount of Olives. All right, now jump with me, keep your hand in Zechariah and let’s just jump up to Acts. Because what I like to prove to people over and over is how these Old Testament prophecies, whenever they’re referred to in the New, are so explicitly and simply put that nobody can argue with it. Acts chapter 1 and this is when the Lord has just finished His forty days in His resurrected body with the twelve or the eleven, rather. They’re now meeting on the Mount of Olives, and I’m sure these eleven men have no idea of what is about to happen. They just think it is another one of their confabs with the Lord, but then all of a sudden, verse 9, when He had finished speaking the things in verse 8: Acts 1:9b-11 "…while they beheld, (just all of a sudden with no forewarning) he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. (They watched Him go.) 10. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven (watching Him leave from the Mount of Olives) as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11. Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, (Now watch this! Jesus, in that resurrected body, the nail prints in His hands, who has now been with them for forty days walking, talking, eating.) who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven." Now, do you have to have a theological degree to understand that? Why, it’s as simple as can be. Now, flip back to Zechariah. And isn’t that the same thing? Now Zechariah foretold this 500 years before Christ. Almost like after it happened. Let’s read it again: Zechariah 14:4a "And his feet (the returning Christ) shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives,…" He’s not going to come in an invisible Spirit. He’s not going to come like an ethereal cloud or like an angel of some sort. It’s going to be the resurrected Christ, the same one the Twelve watched go into heaven. So, we know it’s the same one, and He’s going to come and stand on the Mount of Olives, which in turn will be separated to make way for a glorious river of fresh water running between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea. We pick that up now in verse 8. Zechariah 14:8 "And it shall be in that day, (when Christ sets up His throne room in Jerusalem) that living waters (fresh water) shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, (the Mediterranean) and half of them toward the hinder sea: (that is the Dead Sea, out to the east) in summer and in winter shall it be." In other words, it’s going to be an ongoing thing year round. Zechariah 14:9 "And the LORD shall be king over (what?) all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one." Now, that’s plain and simple. He’s going to establish an earthly Kingdom as we saw in the first program today. Israel will be the top dog of the nations. They will never again have to ask somebody else for help. Instead, they’ll help others. They’re going to have their Messiah as their King. Israel is going to be blessed beyond all the other nations. It’s coming. All right, now then, let’s come back to Isaiah, we’ll make a little headway. In chapter 54, verse 9, and I think this is a good verse to remind yourself of the eternalness of our God. Now, the water was on the earth how long with Noah? A little over a year before it started receding. All right, so the waters of Noah were just like nothing compared to this nation of Israel. Isaiah 54:9b-10 "…for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. (Why?) 10. For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; (this is all supernatural activity) but my kindness shall

not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee." All these promises for Israel will one day come to fruition. All right, but now we come back to their state of unbelief and their wickedness and they are being afflicted, verse 11: Isaiah 54:11 "O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, (See, all this before they can have the blessings of the Kingdom? But, look what’s coming.) behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colors, and lay thy foundations with sapphires." Now, I’m sure this is all in symbolism, but actually it may become literal when the throne room is brought here to Jerusalem that all these beautiful gemstones will be part and parcel of the building of it. But either way, it just makes for glorious reading to see how God is going to bless His covenant people one day. Isaiah 54:12-14 "And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, (which are a bright red stone) and all thy borders of pleasant stones. 13. And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children. 14. In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee." Now, remember, this is all such an opposite scenario from what the Jews have experienced over these last 3000 years of their history. Isaiah 54:15 "Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me; whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake." Now, whenever the nations of the world turn on Israel, you can just bet whatever you want to bet that the adversaries of Israel are going to be losers, because God is not going to let anyone touch Israel without his design. Isaiah 54:16-17a "Behold, I have created the smith (Now we’re talking about a blacksmith.) that bloweth the coals in the fire, (that’s the forge to heat the metal) and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; (whatever the blacksmith is making. In antiquity it would usually be swords and spears. All right, so if that is what he was talking about then he says:) and I have created the waster to destroy. 17. No weapon that is formed against thee (Israel) shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn…." You see, this is why I have begged anyone I’ve taught for the last thirty years to pray every day for God’s people, Israel, and He’ll bless you for it. Write your congressman, call them; don’t ever turn against the Nation of Israel. They are God’s promises and the promises are that if we turn against them we’re going to fall. And I’m sure that in spite of our wickedness, this is why God has blessed America. So, never forget these promises that God will bless them that bless Israel, He will curse them who curse Israel. Isaiah 54:17b "…This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." In other words, He is in control of everything. All right, now we’re going to go right into chapter 55, and all of a sudden, just like Paul does up in the New Testament, the prophet shifts gears. Now, instead of looking forward to the glories of the Kingdom after having gone through the years of turmoil, we go into the glory of God’s saving grace. This is a salvation chapter again. Isaiah 55:1a "Ho, everyone that thirsteth, come ye to the waters,…" Now, stop and think a minute. What does that remind you of? What did the Lord tell in His own earthly ministry of Himself?"Come and drink of me, and you’ll never thirst again." Why? He is the Living Water! You go back into Numbers, when Israel was thirsty and their herds were bellowing with thirst, what’d He tell Moses to do? Strike the rock! Out of that rock came rivers of water to water the millions of Israelites plus all their livestock. Well, who was the Rock? Christ! He’s the Rock of Scripture. So, out of Him came living water. Here we have it again. Israel

is invited to come and drink of the waters of salvation that God will freely give, because look at the rest of the verse. These waters are for that person who has no money. Isaiah 55:1b "…come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price." Why? Because God’s salvation is free. It’s the same way today. You can’t work for it. My, I just spent minutes again the other night with someone who was brainwashed – they think they have to work, work, and work. I said, "Can’t you trust the cross?" "Yeah, but…!" They’ve got to work for it. It’s just unbelievable. Because you see, as soon as you have to work for salvation, what human being can know if they’ve done enough? Well, you can’t. So consequently, whenever you ask someone who is basing their going to heaven on their works and you ask them, "Are you sure you’re going to go to heaven when you die?" What’s their invariable answer? "I hope so. I hope I’ve done enough." But, they can never know. But, you and I don’t have to hope so, we know so! Not because we’re so good. Not because we’ve done so much, but because we’ve done nothing. God has done it all! That’s all God wants is faith – believe it! Here this verse makes it so plain that even in the Old Testament economy salvation was free. It didn’t cost. All right, we’ve got a couple of minutes left, so let’s go on into verse 2. Isaiah 55:2a "Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? (It’s of no use) and your labor for that which satisfieth not?..." Now what’s he referring to? Materialism. Look at the world around us. We are saturated with materialism. It’s all our younger generation can think about. A bigger house. A better car. More activity for their kids. Well, that’s all well and good as far as it goes. But listen, Beloved, that in itself never satisfies. It’s worthless. Now, after we’ve gained salvation and we have all these precious spiritual promises, yes, God doesn’t tell us that we’ve got to live like hermits. God doesn’t tell us to move into a monastery and be isolated. No. But, we do have to have our priorities straight, realizing that salvation costs nothing and that it’s free and that once we have it, then we can go and certainly enjoy the things that God has blessed us with. Isaiah 55:2b-3 "…hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. (that is, in spiritual blessings) 3. Incline your ear, (Listen to what God has to say.) and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David." Now, never forget he’s talking here to Jews. We can certainly take application, but the actual text is for the Nation of Israel. Isaiah 55:4-5 "Behold, I have given him (David, a man after God’s own heart) for a witness to the people, a leader and a commander to the people. 5. Behold, thou shall call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee." Now, there again, I think that’s just a reference to those verses that we saw earlier. When Israel finally enjoys her King and that glorious earthly Kingdom, all the nations of the world are going to be blessed through Israel. It’s going to be Israel’s King that’s ruling. Israel is again the hub of the wheel and all the nations of the world will be blessed through that blessed covenant nation of Israel over whom Christ, God the Son, their King, will be ruling and reigning and not just for 1000 years. It’ll be forever and ever.

Inescapable, I'm not even gonna try and if I get burned, at least we were electrified. I'm spilling wine in the bathtub, you kiss my face and we're both drunk. Everyone thinks that they know us, but they know nothing about all of this silence and patience, pining in anticipation, my hands are shaking from holding back from you ...

The rain fell harshly and unkindly on the pavement for the fifth day in a row, the sun having forsaken the forgotten hellish town that was Knockemstiff, Ohio. Few could say the name and ever fewer dared to enter the town. Even God’s afraid of it, his mother would tell him after nursing what felt like another one of her endless bottles of liquor. It was a haunted town, not a lot left and those who did never crossed paths with it again. Murder and crime were all time highs but not even the government dared to come in and try to to anything which meant any police force in the town were like gods, deciding who lived and who didn’t. One of those god-like men was Lee Bodecker, however he preferred you called him Sheriff Lee Bodecker.  He was a chubby man in his early thirties, tall but the beer belly made him hunch making him look shorter than he was. He had once been the envy of the town, one of the most handsome men of the town but years of living in Knockemstiff wear down everyone. His own poison had been alcohol which had ended up with him in therapy with his wife and with a therapist who had told him to curb the craving of alcohol with sweets instead. It had little to nothing as he still drank like his life depended on it and tonight was no different from other nights. He took off his hat as he entered the local bar in town, the only bar in town, and everyone looked his way, silence installing the ever noisy bar. He liked it, Lee liked it. He knew he was not the handsome one, in fact his look made him quite funny so he made himself scary. Lee made sure that everyone who looked his way, heard his voice or saw his shadow was afraid of him. It definitely worked as once he sat on the bar stool, there was already a glass with 5 fingers of his favourite drink. 

Everything was silence except for the mumbling of men discussing their days until suddenly the mumbling was no longer about the hell that was living in Knockemstiff. He turned around in his chair and understood why the men were suddenly so interested. There she was, dressed in a high neck black shirt which stood over a white skirt. Matching go go boots left her legs bare, something women in Knockemstiff did not do, still stuck in decades of last. She wasn’t from around and everyone knew it merely by the way she dressed but Sheriff Bodecker knew different. Men watched like dogs as she made her way to the bar, to his side. 

     - Y/N. - he greeted her. - What are you doing here? Trying to disrupt the town?

     - My grandmother died.

     - I heard. My condolences.

     - She left me all of what was hers including the house so I’m here to sell it. 

     - The one in Brewer Heights? - she nodded. - Tis a nice house, but I don’t think anyone here would have enough to buy it.

     - I’ll decide that. - she held the glass the bartender in between her hands, her eyes roaming over to his hands were his wedding ring had started to become tight around his finger. - Still with Jane?

     - Why wouldn’t I be? - he cocked an eyebrow at her. - What are you doing here, Y/N?

    - I told you, I’m here to sell ...

    - No. - he interrupted. - Why are you here, at the bar? What do you want?

    - Nothing ...  I see you’re not in the mood to help me anyways. - she got up from the stool she had sat on, straightening her skirt as her feet hit the floor. - Good evening, Sheriff Bodecker. 

He was sat, watching her leave but also giving an aura to the men who too watched the modern girl exit the building not to get any ideas. Lee knew these men, they were like dogs and once a suitable amount of time passed, he took to returning to his cruiser and follow her. How could he trust this town with her, an outsider? Y/N had been brought up in Knockemstiff, the daughter of store owners who had both been killed in an assault gone wrong. After that, she was ushered to live with her grandmother, the last of socialites in Knockemstiff. Rumours said her grandmother had moved from New York to wed with a penniless man already expecting once she wore her wedding gown. Rumours or not, she still held much more money than anyone in the town together and she wasted not a cent in her granddaughter’s education, moving to a more upscale house in Brewer Heights once she got her under her care. She was always the one with everything and Lee remembered seeing her while still an officer driving around a brand new glossy red car, hair loose through the wind. In all honesty, he thought her never too leave town but as she reached her tender 21st year of life, she left leaving everything behind. 

He parked outside her grandmother’s home, stopping just a bit away from it looking at the house that was so eerily sketched in his mind. He leaned against his seat watching Brewer Heights, the place he so wanted to have lived in his youth. Of course he now owned a place there too but it was faint, fickle. If he were to not be sheriff anymore all would shatter. He would do everything he could to keep his position. He deserved it, he deserved it more than any damned soul on this planet. A knock on the glass removed him from his mind state as he looked the way of his window to see her. 

     - Can I come in? - she asked, eyes lingering on the passenger seat. He stretched over to the side, opening the door for her but not exiting the car. She entered, closing the door as she sat on the seat. - I’ve always hated when you were mad at me. 

     - I’m not mad.

     - You have no reason to be. I know what you’re mad about and it’s your own fault, you know that.

     - Is it my fault you left? - his hands tightened against the wheel of his cruiser, anger coursing through his veins. Lee never liked to hear the truth.

    - She knew, Lee and she was right ... If anyone knew, if the town knew I would’ve been ruined and I didn’t deserve that. You must understand I didn’t deserve that. 

    - I didn’t deserve you leaving without saying a fucking thing now did I, darl’?

    - You were married. - she almost spat the words in his face. - You are married, Lee. Now you can be mad at me all you want, you can hate me for all I give a damn but I was not gonna destroy myself for your happiness, and I will certainly not allow you to destroy yourself for lust. 

    - Y/N ...

    - I don’t need your help anymore and I would enjoy it if you parked your cruiser away from my house. I wouldn’t want any rumours about your infidelities to resurface. - she exited the car and climbed the small incline of grass up to her home. Lee still remembered seeing her in a little white dresses her grandmother would buy for her, climbing that incline while holding the fabric so it wouldn’t fly up. She seemed to have gotten the hang of it.

Lee had met Y/N when she volunteered at the station back when he was still a patrol officer. She did the duties of every single secretary plus cleaning which was what she had volunteered for. It’ll be good for my university application, she told him when Lee asked what she was doing there. She started at 17 and remained there until she was 18 and ready to leave and become something other than a Knockemstiff resident. However, her mother having sudden heart attack ruined her plans and she decided to stay to take care of her. Lee didn’t see her for two whole years until she was 20 years old and he spotted her at the supermarket getting an earful from Mr. Collins about dropping a bottle of olive oil while trying to reach something from the higher shelf. Lee didn’t like it, he didn’t like Mr. Collins berating her for a simple mistake so he stepped in. He remembered her thanking him before reintroducing herself to him. 

He wasn’t one to be swayed by women, he’d married his Jane when he was fresh out of high school and while his relationship was more than stale, he had his mind on work and alcohol. Sure he could’ve divorced, found someone else but he wasn’t the teenager he used to be anymore, he was hardly someone who women would be attracted to besides a single man for a Sheriff? That surely wasn’t gonna happen. Yet, he couldn’t help but be entranced by her, fresh into adulthood with a mind full of ideas about what she wanted to do. He didn’t mean it, he didn’t mean to start a relationship with her, to start an affair yet he couldn’t say he regret it. He didn’t regret the nights where she’d meet him in the woods, covered by a black trench coat. He could still feel his, his hands against her back, feeling the fabric of her undergarments as the windows fogged. 

Y/N was upset. Her friends had told her she better not expect the man who she had left without any notice to help her but she was upset. What choice did she have? After her grandmother heard about it, it would’ve taken no time for everyone in town to hear about it and she would’ve been a disgrace and Lee would’ve certain not become Sheriff. Nevertheless she was upset. Instead, she asked an old friend from school, Billy. It was no surprise he was here, nobody left, nobody ever left. She had left but yet here she was once again, 4 years later wondering about an affair which shouldn’t have happened. Her grandmother had berated her for ages “you don’t sleep with a married man” and of course she knew she shouldn’t yet she had. She didn’t know better. 

She had boxes and boxes packed with whatever it was left of the house, photo books, clothing, bedding, all of it packed. Once she got to New York she could sort through it but right now all she wanted to was leave. Her friends even offered to come over and do it for her but the damned lawyer said it had to be her. In the morning she waited for Billy in the steps of her home, dressed in one of her old 50′s fashioned white dress, a far cry from the mini skirts she used at home and off he came in the exact same car he had when they were both teens. 

   - Y/N, look at you. - he walked off the car. - You look gorgeous, darl’. 

   - Thank you, Billy. - she scratched the back of her head. - Uhm it’s only 5 big boxes. I’ll pay for the gas if you help me take them to post office. 

   - You’re not keeping the house?

   - And live in Knockemstiff? - she rolled her eyes, climbing up the stairs to grab the boxes from the front of the door. The boy helped her pack the car before the two hopped onto the car. - So, how’s the town been?

   - Nothing changes. Mr. Collins died, no one was upset about it and that Bodecker guy became Sheriff. - he light up a cigarette as he turned on the engine. - It’s still as boring as its been and people mostly gossip around the same old gossip.

   - What’s new in gossip?

   - Eleanor still says you and Bodecker were fucking. - he chuckled. - As if ... I mean, look at you, you were prom queen and he’s a fat bastard. 

    - You should watch your mouth, Billy. He’s the sheriff. 

    - Because he bought it. - he shrugged. - Dad says he’s pretty much doing everyone’s dirty work. I mean his sister and her husband disappeared and were found dead. 

    -  I don’t really care for that type of gossip. - she leaned against the seat, watching the trees pass by. It wasn’t that she and Billy were good friends but she needed help and she’d rather die than go beg Lee to help her out. She had tried and it’d failed. Besides what was the worse that could happen?

The worse that could happen became very clear as instead of driving into town he took a left into the woods. She rose her head from the seat as all the ways one could reach town rushed through her mind. This definitely wasn’t one of them, it was hard to even get to the town through the woods. She knew that because, well ... it was where she would meet Lee to ensure no one from town found them. The car came to a stop and Billy got off the car. Maybe he just needed to pee or to get some air. She waited til he was on his back to open the car door and start running but he rushed after her, grabbing her arm and throwing her to the ground before standing over her, hands holding her wrists above her head.

   - Billy, what are you doing? - stay calm, that was what they always taught her, stay calm. 

   - Come on, Y/N. They always wanted us to be together in high school, remember? 

   - I don’t know what you’re talking about. Billy, calm down. 

   - You fucking calm down. I know you want me too, Y/N. You called me, you need my help, darl’. I can make you feel so damn good ... - his mouth lowered down and she started to trash around, trying to get rid of him. 

   - Stop, please stop. - she looked up at the sky, the morning sun barely up as she recalled why you don’t come back to Knockemstiff. You don’t get back because you get stuck. As she convinced herself there was nothing the do, a short was heard through the air. 

  - What the heck are you doing William? - she recognised the voice. She had never been more grateful for that voice. Billy jumped over to his feet.

   - Sheriff ... me and Y/N were just having a bit of fun ... You know, you understand, right?

   - Y/N ... - he looked her way. - What were you doing?

   - It was against my will, Sheriff. - she climbed onto her feet, leaning against a tree at a healthy distance from him.

  - Get the fuck out of here. - the young boy in his mid 20′s rushed out like a child afraid of the dark, forgetting his car and everything he had left behind. Y/N watched him running, tripping onto his legs as Lee fired a warning shot in the air. If this was NY, there would be someone here already but this was Knockemstiff and gun shots were as usual as rain during winter.

He smirked, happy to have once again imposed the authority he so much treasured. Lee never liked Billy, he never liked when he’d drive Y/N home from school even when she was volunteering at the police station. That boy was no good news and always looked at her like she was a piece of meat. Lee still remembered the old Sheriff telling her that boy was no good and looking at her now, dressed in one of her white dresses stained in dirty and green grass stains, he guessed he was right. 

  - Billy, Y/N? Don’t you have other friends?

  - Billy’s the only one with a car. - Y/N mumbled as she grabbed his keys from the floor to take her stuff off his car before he could return. - Thank you but I had it under control.

  - ‘Course you did. - he put his hands on his waist. - Come on, I’ll drive you to wherever you want to go.

  - I don’t want any favours from you, Sheriff Bodecker. - she held her boxes against her chest. Well, if she started now maybe she could be at the post office with all the boxes at nighttime. - That’ll be all.

  - Y/N, come on. I’m a public server so let me help you.

  - I don’t want your help. - she almost barked at him, taking another box from Billy’s car. Maybe she could drive the car, yet again she knew the captain particularly liked Billy and could fine her if 

  - Fine, can you tell me what you’re doing at least?

  - I’m shipping these boxes to New York. I don’t have time to completely go through them so ...

  - Put them in the cruiser. I’ll take them to the post office and take you home. 

  - I don’t want any favours.

  - It’s not for you, it’s for your grandmother. Now get into the car, please. - he opened the door to her.

Y/N huffed. The last thing she needed was a favour from Lee Bodecker yet in all honesty she had no other choice. She packed her boxes into the truck of his cruiser and sat on the passenger seat, arms crossed as he sat in the driver’s seat. Her mind played tricks on her, reminding her of what they used to do in that driver’s seat of his back when she was younger and full of ideas for the future. She shouldn’t have done it and she knew it, Jane Bodecker wasn’t the best woman but she didn’t deserve having her husband sneaking around with a 20 year old despite her herself having had her fair share of affairs. Not that Lee knew and she wasn’t gonna be the one to tell him about the time she was working late in the station and saw his wife getting busy with a new patrol. She didn’t have that right, after all he was doing the same to her. She shouldn’t have done it, nevertheless. Her grandmother died ashamed of her and now she had to deal with it. 

   - Billy said Sandy died. Is it true? 

   - Yeah, last year.

   - Oh ... I’m sorry, I didn’t know. 

   - She had it coming. That weird husband of hers ended up driving her off the edge. That Arvin kid shot them yet I can’t say they hadn’t it coming ... She was still my baby sister. 

   - I’m sorry, Lee. I’m so sorry ...  - she looked down at her skirt. 

   - Almost got me too ... stupid kid. - he shrugged. - Good thing I was fat enough to stop the bullet, I guess.

   - Well, I’m sorry about Sandy. - she said as she saw her house become clearer through the window. He stopped in front of her home, unlocking the doors so she could walk out. 

Y/N walked out before she could do something stupid. Whatever she did, whatever he had, whenever they were together she always ended up doing something stupid. She sat in the empty house of her childhood, only now containing furniture. She could remember it so well from her years as a child running up and down the stairs, not knowing what awaited her outside the world. Nevertheless, she didn’t want to owe anything to Lee. She knew who he had to answer softly too, she knew those men Billy spoke about. They always ran for Sheriff ever since she was a kid. 

She looked at the clock on the wall, 3PM. She knew exactly where those men would be at that time and so she changed and took her way downtown. Everyone turned their head as she walked into the badly light, old bar in tones of musky green which greatly contrasted with her baby blue short dress. The town had gotten stuck in the 40′s and 50′s, women barely showing their legs or any skin and there she was, a woman born and raised in Knockemstiff dressed like a movie star. The table of three men clearly noticed, the under-sheriff, the division chief and the captain. She stood in front of the round table, taking her sunglasses and setting them on top of her head, a nice, covergirl smile on her pink painted lips. You can get the girl out of Knockemstiff but you can’t get Knockemstiff out of the girl.

    - Hello boys. You mind if I seat with you? - she put her hand on one of the chairs. 

    - Hey, you’re Elizabeth’s granddaughter aren’t you? - Frank, the under-sheriff asked, pulling the chair for her. - I thought you were in New York.

    - I was but I just came here because of my grandma’s inheritance, but I have something to discuss. 

Another night, another day of useless parading around for Lee. He’d pass by the post office and shipped Y/N’s boxes and that had been the highlight of his day. As per usual, he made his way to the bar only to found the environment was slightly different. He knew this town like the back of his hand, anything off always rang alarm bells. As the bartender placed his usual poison in front of him, he decided to get to the bottom of the situation. 

   - Why’s everything so quiet?

   - I don’t know, Sheriff. - the man replied while cleaning glasses. - Elizabeth’s girl was here and I don’t know what she did but Frank, Jonah and Fitzwilliam left as if she were the devil.

Fucking hell. He drowned the last of his drink before grabbing his hat and entering his cruise. Damned Y/N, she used to be such a nice girl before leaving to New York. God, the only complaint he ever got about her was when the mayor complained about her wanting to run a march. He drove to her home like a mad man. What was she doing messing around with those three? He’d seen them do worse things for much less. Lee climbed the grass patch up to her door, knocking on it as if his life depended on it. 

   - Y/N, open up. Right now. - he thumped the door again. - I’ll break in if you don’t answer it!

   - Jesus. - the door opened up to Y/N dressed in what he was almost entirely sure was the shortest dress he had ever seen a woman wear. She stood against the door, hand on the wood while the other on her waist as he entered her home. 

   - Took you long enough. - he stepped into the home which he had never dared to step in.

   - I was upstairs. - she closed the door, locking it behind her for good safety. No one can be trusted in this godforsaken town. - What do you want?

Lee walked further into the house ignoring her question as he shut all the windows of the ground floor, anything that could allow anyone to look inside the house. Last thing he needed was for anyone to see inside the home and start any rumours. Stupid bastards. Y/N followed him around asking the same damn question anytime he shut any window and pulled any drapes down. 

   - Stop touching my stuff. - she put herself in front of him. - What do you want, Lee?

   - What do I want? - he sat against the couch, sighing. - What the fuck did you do, Y/N? Why were you at the bar?

   - I didn’t do anything. - she batted her eyes innocently. 

   - Y/N, I have another election coming up soon. I’ll ask again, what did you do at the bar?

   - It’s none of your business. 

   - Y/N, I’ve seen those men kill for less so you tell me now what you did. 

   - Stop ordering me around. - she rolled her eyes at him. - I don’t like owing anyone so now we’re even.

   - We’re even? - he pitched the skin of his nose. - What the fuck, Y/N? 

   - You wanna know what I said? Would that make you feel better? Would that make you feel like you rule this damn town, Lee? - she looked down on him, almost teasing him. Had it been a few years ago she would’ve been under him already. - I helped you out.

   - Y/N ...

   - It’s not just you who was sleeping around with a younger girl. They were sleeping around with friends of mine. The only difference is I have evidence of it ... - she grabbed her purse from the hanger, taking a beige envelope from it and throwing it his way. Lee looked up to her and then to the envelope opening it to see various pictures of girls he knew in compromising positions with his opponents, letters, everything. - They don’t have anything on you because unlike my friends, I don’t keep souvenirs from my affairs. 

  - You blackmailed them? Are you stupid, Y/N? They are going to kill you.

There was something about the contrast of the sun and the moon that deeply intrigued Todoroki.

Perhaps it was the way they rarely seemed to meet, always just a shy minute apart from coexisting together. Maybe it was how one of the other gave way for a moment of spotlight, either to bless the Earth with sunlight or to illuminate the dark sky with moonlight. Maybe it was because people perceive them as lovers who are separated by destiny, forever bound by whatever rules the universe had set.

He never got to the bottom of the reason why he was so enamored with the Romeo and Juliet of the cosmos but whatever it is, Todoroki had to thank it.

It was in these that he found solace, especially during the dark times of his past and childhood.

Shouto Todoroki was not an astronomer in the slightest. Despite his fondness over the stars in the sky or the planets lightyears away, he never took the chance to pursue this career.

Correction: He was never allowed to pursue this career.

In fact, he was not allowed to be anything other than what his father had set for him. Like the sun and moon, he was bound by destiny. But destiny, in Todoroki’s case, was a six-foot, heartless dictator who strived for perfection in everything at the expense of even an ounce of happiness and freedom.

“You are to follow in my footsteps, Shouto. You will continue what I have started and you shall rise over Japan and defeat All Might Corp.”

It was annoying. It was beyond him how his abomination of a father had this kind of mindset. But he had no power over this man. He controlled Shouto’s life.

So Todoroki fell to the same fate of his older siblings; all bound by their destiny as businessmen, inheritors of Japan’s second most successful conglomerate, and joyless lives. He became what society calls as a success— rich and thriving at the early age of 20.

You see, that’s just it.

Society has deemed success as being filthy rich at an early age. The way they measured success is by how young you’re able to afford luxuries, how much green papers you owned, and how famous you could be. They never thought to wonder if these so-called successful people were actually happy with their lives.

Success for Shouto was not about how much bank he could make, or how influential he could become, or how many cars he could afford. Success was finding joy in what you do, regardless of how much money he had. Shouto was far from successful. But he’s hopeful that one day he could achieve the life he wanted, whether his dictator of a father liked it or not.

For now, he is the moon without light to illuminate his dark life.

He is a new moon.

But things will change and the sun will rise again.

“Father, I would like to try secretarial studies,” Shouto brought up one day as the Todoroki family ate quietly in Enji’s mansion.

The clanking of Enji’s utensils rang through the big house, reflecting their father’s emotions. Twitching fingers, cold eyes, and a permanent scowl that seemed to deepen— he was livid.

“That’s absurd, Shouto. I will not allow it.”

“I never asked for your permission. I am taking secretarial whether you like it or not.”

The youngest Todoroki scoffed, retaliating once again from their father’s idiotic ideologies. Fuyumi was silently pleading for Shouto to be careful while the two older brothers were grinning for him to continue.

“You are a Todoroki. We do not serve people. They serve us. Drop this, now.”

“I don’t care what you say. I’ve already decided who to work for.”

Enji chuckled wryly, “and who are you wasting your talents on?”

“The L/N Enterprise”

There are only a few companies and groups that could be hailed as Japan’s best. These include All Might Corporations, Endeavor Inc., and the L/N Empire. Safe to say, these three are the big leagues, the future of Japan’s economy, and the most successful. These three GDP monsters also play in the same field: the music industry. World-known idol groups come from one of the three, and more flock to these companies for a taste of success. Behind these are the business powerhouses: Toshinori Yagi, known as Mr. All Might; and Todoroki Enji, dubbed as Endeavor. Little is known about the L/N CEO, however, what everyone does know is they are geniuses, even in different ways, because they were able to make their names known not only to Japan but the entire world.

Perhaps there are still differences. Unlike the two, the L/N Empire doesn’t only battle in the music industry. Countless branches, including the ever-famous Sumsang tech, come from their conglomerate.

Another factor from All Might and Endeavor Inc. lets the L/N Enterprise stand in the spotlight; the future successor of the entire group, and grandson of the richest man in Japan, is one of the youngest to ever sit on such a high position.

General Manager L/N (Name).

Many people wonder why this young man, who, at the young age of 20, began to dedicate his life to the countless numbers and percentages that come with this life. People his age at the time would’ve rather flaunt to the world of the riches they own, and indulge in such a lavish life that only few could attain.

But not L/N (Name).

He pursued this career that was bestowed upon him by his family and thus, just a short three years later, L/N is on his way to become the youngest Director and hold so much power over the L/N group, over this branch that he manages, and over Japan.

A bigshot at a young age, blessed with not only riches but also looks and intelligence.

If only he also had a good attitude to boot.

There were a lot of hearsays that circulated about the so-called business ace. Maybe it was because they only knew so little of his father that (Name) became the center of attention. People say he’s a womanizer, an arrogant, self-less prick who has an ego bigger than All Might’s height. Some say he was a sleaze and a temperamental individual who explodes at even the smallest of mistakes. People have also heard that the Director was ruthless, and seeing the countless rumors about this made them believe everything.

Enji could even vouch for those rumors. The brat, while he was a family friend, always found a way to talk back to him whenever he’s over for Natsuo. As far as the Todoroki could remember, L/N was in the same age group as Natsuo. He wasn’t really sure, but Enji’s certain that brat is an egotistical prick.

So why the hell did Shouto choose their God forsaken company?

It was beyond Enji, but he’ll let Shouto waste his time for a bit. After all, he could benefit from having an insider for that competition of his.

The object of Enji’s hatred and the famous L/N sneezed so suddenly.

“Endeavor-san must be cursing me again,” He hummed then continued on with his work.

(Name) was in his office, scanning through the proposals submitted by his department, when his temporary secretary knocked on the door.

“Here’s the batch of applications, sir,” She nervously placed the profiles on his desk. Before (Name) could thank her, however, the young secretary zoomed off.

(Name) was looking for a new secretary after his former subordinate was revealed to be a mole for some company. Aside from that, he knew that the assistant was after him, personally, too. She would often flirt and schedule him for dinners with “other people”, only later to reveal that she wanted to eat with him.

Basically, that assistant was a pest.

The flipping of papers came to a halt at one very specific file. Staring right back at (Name) were the familiar heterochromatic pools of blue and silver, as if saying that his attention should be on the young Todoroki.

Well, damn right.

Without so much as a glance at the CV neatly written at the bottom (which (Name) knows is more than qualified), he knew who he wanted by his side.

Miyuki was not originally born on Earth. She originally came from another dimension with a world very similar to earth's called Ryui. Five years before the current year, she lived a peaceful life with her parents and three older brothers in a countryside town. Her mother, Akatsuki Yume was a sage who was once a part of a cabal that worshiped children under the age of 6 as Gods. Sometime after meeting her husband, Akatsuki Kinzo, she gave birth to their daughter and fled the cult in order to live a peaceful life. As time went on, Miyuki accepted Kinzo and his three sons as her family and became very attatched to them, particularly her eldest brother, Akatsuki Shirou. Their father had told them stories about the Multi-Universe, how there were many worlds and many gods who watched over all of them. He told her about Magic and that his wish was that Miyuki would one day be able to leave their small world and explore the Multiverse and everything it has to offer, but to know that even with all of the wonders of the cosmos, she is special and to never forget that. She took those words to heart and said that she will see the stars one day, but hoped that her family would be by her side.  However, this wasn't meant to be. When she was 6 years old, the Grand Multi-Universe Empire had invaded Ryui, destroying multiple cities with orbital bombardments and razing the town that she lived in with ground troopers and droid officers.

Kinzo and Yume had decided to evacuate the planet via the ship that Kinzo had hidden. It was a ship that was able to travel to other worlds and he had already set the coordinates in the event something like this would happen. However, as they were on their way, they were found by the Grand General Esdeath and her Inquisitors. Kinzo urged his family to leave, resulting in Yume leading away their four children to the place where the ship was hidden. During the attack, Esdeath was able to mercilessly kill two of Kinzo's sons, resulting in him attacking her in a fit of rage. Yume urged Shirou to take Miyuki to the craft and leave, something that he did as Yume decided to stay behind to support her husband. As the battle went on, Esdeath eventually disarmed Kinzo and fatally wounded Yume, eventually leading to her death. Feeling as though there was nothing left to lose, he decided to use a spell that would have taken out Esdeath along with her inquisitors and himself, but this failed, as Esdeath was able to kill him before he could land a killing blow. But this was nothing more than a mere distraction in the end, as by the time Esdeath had killed Kinzo, his two surviving children had already left Ryui in a ship, which was also cloaked so it could not be detected and traced. Miyuki claims that this was the first day she had witnessed true evil, and it was because of this event that left a deep scar, though she was thankful to have her brother Shirou with her.

Some point after the Grand Empire's raid and destruction of Ryui, Shirou and Miyuki made it to Earth Prime where they spent the next five years living. Because of what happened to her homeworld, she became even more attached to her brother, who in turn swore to protect her from any harm that came to her. The two were taken in by an elderly couple, whose demeanor and mood reminded them of their late parents and peace returned to their lives for the next five years with Shirou training to become a powerful Magician, and using the teachings Kinzo passed onto him, including physical training. However, this peace was not to last. One year ago, the elderly man who acted as their grandfather passed away due to heart failure and in July of the current year (Around the same time as Index Old Testament Volume 1), the elderly woman soon passed as well, leaving the siblings to fend for themselves. Shirou however was able to care for the both of them, though the deaths of the people who adopted them hit them hard. Months later, another event would soon befall them when the Romefeller Foundation caught wind of the existence of the Akatsuki siblings and sent their men to bring them in, under the request of an unknown person. While the two were in the process of escaping, Shirou was struck and fatally wounded leaving Miyuki to panic and fear the worst. In an act of desperation, Shirou used the magic he learned from his father to transport Miyuki to Academy City, a place where he believed she would be safe and smiled before fainting. When Miyuki found herself in Academy City, she broke down, believing that everything she loved was now gone, feeling as though the Gods who watched over the Multiverse had forsaken her. Then, in a random event, she encountered a certain boy, one who was the same age as her brother Shirou.

The person who had contacted the Romefeller Foundation knew where she had been sent however, and had extended the contacts to another organization from a different world. Through the Romefeller, the Ministry of Science was contacted and told them that Akatsuki Miyuki was a person who held power to destroy the fabric of creation itself, referring to her power as the Child of God which seem to have disappeared sometime ago. Believing the Romefeller, the Ministry of Science sent their best operator, Bowen Chuuno, accompanied by the Sorceress Supreme, Rosalia Echidemont and sent them to Earth Prime, Japan, where they would head into Academy City to find her and bring her to them.

Personality & Character

Because of the tragedy she had witnessed in her life, and losing all of the people closest to her, Miyuki possessed a somewhat emotionless and detached demeanor, believing herself to be cursed with a power she did not understand. She believed that because of her nature as the Child of God, the gods themselves had forsaken and forced her to endure misfortune. Despite this, she did not hate the world or the gods and instead, blamed herself for all of the tragic events that happened to her, giving up on things like hope and giving into her own despair. This resulted in her using her power to subconsciously wish it away, believing it to be the source of all her problems. When she meets Kamijou Touma, her somber demeanor starts to change a bit, warming up to him from the kindness he showed her as he let her stay with him and Index. During her time as a member of the Kamijou Residence, she saw traits in him that reminded her a lot of Shirou, leading her to develop a familial attachment to him and saw him as an older brother figure. This was further enhanced when Touma had protected her from Bowen and Rosalia when they initially appeared, and then later when Romefeller Magician, Allan Pestage tried to capture her and kill Touma and the others. After the end of the incident, Miyuki decides to become the little sister of Touma, changing her surname to Kamijou and living with him, Index and Othinus for the foreseeable future. It is noted that when she declared this, her eyes changed from their brown color to a black, matching Touma's eye color and suggesting that her power as the Child of God may not have been completely banished.

Following her stay at the Kamijou Residence, she shows another side of her personality when she is around Touma, where she behaves like the young girl she actually is. These behaviors include wanting to be spoiled, like to wear animal onsies, and throwing a childish temper. On the otherside of this development, as Touma gets into more incidents, she becomes worried for him greatly, fearing that there may come a time where he does not come home. This results in her making reckless actions that put her own life in danger, giving an indicator that she values the life of Touma and others more than she does her own life.

Powers & Abilities

Miyuki is a person known as The Child of God, a person who is closer to being one of the Fewer Than 20 Saints in earth Prime. Because of this, Miyuki has the power to grant wishes and alter fate itself, ranging from the wishes of others to her own wishes. However, because she was not trained on how to utilize her gifts, she cannot control them properly and instead, its usage is mostly done via subconsciously. So far, she has not used her power on a large scale, but it is believed that she is capable of affecting not only Earth Prime and the Phases, but the entire Multi-Universe as well, potentially putting her on the Level of a Magic God and even the Foreign Gods. Miyuki does not seem to be aware of the potential her power has and only knows that she has a gift and nothing more.

She resented her gift to the point where she used it to make her powers disappear, something that was confirmed when Rosalia used her Cosmos Eye to determine if she was truly the Child of God. After Rosalia's analysis, it was determined that Miyuki was just a regular girl, but this may not actually be the case. At the end of the Arc, Miyuki's brown eyes turn into a darker color, signifying that her power was merely suppressed, leading her and others to believe that her powers as the Child of God were truly gone. It appears that after deciding to become the sister of Kamijou Touma, her powers reactivated themselves to grant her wish, altering her genes to be that of the Kamijou Family, thus truly becoming Touma's younger sister.

Othinus warns Touma that w should other magicians including the Anglican Church find out about her origins and status, they may come after her to suppress her. Since everyone, including herself believe that she is no longer bound by that power, this fear of her being hunted has been dispelled. Though one can never be certain if she may become a target for other parties in the future.

6) How has the pandemic been treating you? Whew CHILE!! Your girl done got into a relationship and out in the span of the 7ish months we’ve been in this god forsaken pandemic. Been at my lowest and honestly highest points of mental and spiritual health. Got a pet bearded dragon and surrendered it within the same WEEK. Safe to say it’s been a ROLLERCOASTER. ✌️

Also I’ve been told it takes some time for people to understand my humor because I’m monotone and sarcastic...it’s apparently not a good combination, but once you get me, you get me. It saddens me as a black Australian. But as a black person. It took soooooooooo long. For people to people to get together in solidarity to condemn the actions of a human being against another.

I swear people will always see colour. Always. No matter how far we go as a species. Why give a fuck now when WORSE SHIT HAS HAPPENED ON THE PASSED. BLACK PEOPLE WERE BEING LYNCHED. HANGED AND BURNED ALIVE. But now is the time to take a stand together because now is "enough" is this really how far we must go to realise the gravity of pain we cause each other on this god forsaken planet of ours. What the actual fuck is wrong with out societies and the people that love among them. How blind and ignorant can we be and still stand idle while bad stuff happens.

people like to act like Thrall deliberately put the Horde in the hands of a mad king, looking at the events of cataclysm and pandaria with 20/20 hindsight. completely ignoreing the context of the situation. So for those who dont know, this is how it went, From “The Shattering”. It addresses: Why he didnt choose Cairne, why he had to pick an Orc, Why it was Garrosh, Why it wouldnt fail, why it might go badly, why that doesnt matter when the world is at risk, and the thing Thrall is hated most for, the horrible, ‘evil’ action of having faith in someone becoming a better person.

Yes Thrall bears the RESPONSIBILITY of giving power to Garrosh but he is NOT responsible for Garrosh’s actions, Garrosh is. And Jaina does have every right to hold him accountable, because he DID make this decision having faith that things would be ok, but realizing that even if he was WRONG about Garrosh that the war that would ensue would mean a loss of life far greater than...the entire planet being destroyed. So yes, Thrall did put the lives of billions over the lives of thousands, and the people who died have every right to resent him for it. But frankly the responsibility of warchief should never been forced upon such a young and broken man.

HIs first thought was Cairne. His oldest friend here in Kalimdor, Cairne and he thought alike on many things. He was wise and ruled his people well. But Thrall, like Cairne himself, knew there were those who thought him old fashioned and out of touch with what was needed. If there was slight unrest in the form of the Grimtotem in Cairne’s own city, then there would surely be unrest and murmuring if Thrall appointed an elderly tauren to lead the Horde now.

No, Cairne would definitely have a part to play, but it could not be as the role of leader. An orc would be better. One the people knew and liked already.

Thrall sighed deeply. The perfect choice was one he could not have-Saufang the Younger. Youthful, charismatic, and yet wise beyond his years, he had been the brightest star in the sky of Horde warriors before the Lich King had slain him. His father, though not quite broken, had been emotionally devastated by the recent events. Too, the orc was to old, as was Cairne, as was the deeply trusted Eitrigg. Thrall realized that there could only be one choice, and he made a sour expression.

There was only one who could do it. Only one who was young and vibrant, who was well known and loved, who was a warrior without equal. Only one who could on such short notice bring the disparate factions of the Horde together and keep their spirits high and proud.

A perfect Figurehead.

Thrall’s glower deepened. Yes, Garrosh was loved and a fine fighter, but he was also rash and impulsive. Thrall was about to deliver him the ultimate power. A word floated to his mind, “usurper”, but he did not truly believe such a thing would happen. Garrosh needed something to placate an ego as mammoth as his legend-an ego that Thrall now realized he might have unwittingly helped to inflate. He had been concerned when he learned that Garrosh despised his father, and had wanted to show the son of Gromm that Hellscream had done great good. But perhaps he might have made Grom look better than he was. If so , then the younger Hellscream’s arrogance might be, at least in part, due to Thrall himself. He had not been able to save Grom’s life; he had hoped to inspire and guide his son.

Still, Eitrigg would be there to temper Garrosh, as would Cairne, if Thrall asked it of his old friends. Thrall would not be gone long. Let Garrosh sit in his place temporarily in Grommash Hold, with Cairne and Eitrigg on either side. If the rumors were true, Garrosh had already tipped his hand with the ashenvale incident, and Thrall knew Cairne would sit on the orc before he’d let anything like that get by him, now that he knew to be watchful of it. There wouldnt be a lot that Garrosh could do, really, to harm the Horde and--thrall had to admit--there was much Garrosh COULD do to inspire it.

Their leader would be gone. They would be worried and afraid. Garrosh would remind them that they were proud and fierce and unconquerable, and the Horde would cheer and be content until Thrall returned with the real answers to the problems that besieged them. Calm the land, and all would have a chance to become better. Ignore the land, the elements, and no glorious victory in battle could ever make up for the disasters that would inevitably follow

Yes thrall made a mistake..because he isnt magic, cant see the future and , god forbid, had faith in someone. by the end of cataclysm Garrosh had already gone to far and couldnt simply ‘come back’ without political strife. He chose to have faith that while there would be political unrest and even war that it was inevitable. One of the primary themes around this is the fact that Thrall has been aware, in each book he’s in , that he is an outsider. raised by humans he doesnt have the mindset of his people. the reason the orcs loved Garrosh so much was because he pushed imperialist ideas like they loved. In this book he even tells jaina that his people are prone to violence and that when desperation comes they are more than willing to do so. As a child slave and someone who didnt grow up with parents he started to think that maybe it was wrong to try to force his ideas, those of an unorcish orc, on his orc people. Maybe it was wrong to just...let them be as savage as they want. but to be frank, i disagree. its unfair to ask one man to bear the burden of the violence and prejudice of millions of people. if the Horde, between the imperialist orcs, the prejudiced and haughty elves , and the plotting forsaken (or rather, sylvanas’s cult), if they Want so desperately to be free of Thrall, then he should give them what they want.

Night Elf: A Character Guide

This isn’t to try and tell you what to do and what not to do; this is for people who want more lore accurate characters and don’t know where to start.

History

Evolution (Year -15,000): Night elves are descended from a tribe of dark trolls encountering the Well of Eternity 15,000 years ago. Those who remained near the Well began to evolve into taller, near immortal beings that resembled what we now know as night elves. Several other races originate from night elves directly: Highborne began as an upper class of night elves that served their then-queen Azshara. After The Sundering, Year -10,000, arcane magic was outlawed in night elf culture and those high elves who refused to give up the practice were exiled and went on to establish Silvermoon City (finishing construction in Year -6,800). This in turn went on to form the Blood elves following Arthas’ invasion of the city (Year 20), and eventually continued on to form Void elves (Blood elves exiled for delving into the Void). Nightborne are Highborne who splintered off and left the conflict during the War of the Ancients. Naga and satyr even are descended from night elves, the former originating from the surviving Azshara loyalists of The Sundering.

It’s A Kind of Magic (Year - 13,500): Night elves begin to study and use arcane magic to build cities, create artifacts and reshape the land. Some resist the urge to use it. Some begin to revel in the use refer to themselves as “Highborne”. 

The Sundering (Year -10,000): The War of the Ancients was an important series of battles against the Burning Legion wherein their previous queen Azshara attempted to summon Sargeras into Azeroth. This resulted in the single continent on the planet being split into four separate ones that we know of today. The Lunar Festival begins to celebrate the defeat of the Legion and at some point around here, Nordrassil is created.

Changes in Government (Year -9,400): Tyrande Whisperwind positions the Sisterhood of Elune as the head of both government and military, the Sentinels are formed and Malfurion Stormrage begins training other druids.

War of the Satyr (Year -9, 300): Armies of Satyrs, past night elves turned demonic, begin attacking night elf civilisations. Ralaar Fangfire and Belysra Starbreeze utilise the Pack Form to combat the threat, creating the first worgen. They are imprisoned in the Emerald Dream by Malfurion when they prove to be unpredictable and dangerous. 

Exile of the Highborne (Year -7, 300): Since the Sundering, arcane magic was outlawed, fearing another. Although the punishment was death, it became clear that far too many of their people were still practising and unable to face executing so many of their own, they are exiled.

Here Kitty, Kitty (Year -4,000): Tyrande saves the frostsaber queen, Shy-Rotam, and her kin become allies of the night elves.

Isolation (Year -10,000 - Year 20): Night elves were largely unknown outside Kalimdor until the Third War due to their isolationist nature. Medivh mentions knowing the history of The Sundering by the kaldorei in The Last Guardian (First War), but he doesn’t know what they are called today, meaning the term night elf wasn’t heard of then.

Out of the Woods (Year 20): Orcs sent to Kalimdor begin raiding the forest resources and killing Cenarius, causing hostilities with the night elf natives. Immediately after, the Scourge begin to attack. Tyrande awakens Malfurion from the Emerald Dream. Archimonde attempts to attack Nordrassil, but is defeated by the night elves and aid from Thrall’s new Horde and Lady Jaina Proudmoore’s forces. The night elves sacrifice Nordrassil as well as their immortality to save Azeroth. Fandral Staghelm wanted to create another World Tree that would restore the night elves' immortality but Malfurion warned against this but he suddenly fell into a coma and his soul was lost within the Emerald Dream, and Fandral forged ahead with his plans unopposed, becoming the new leader of the druids. This new tree was Teldrassil and the night elves founded Darnassus. However, this tree was corrupted and the dragon aspects refused to bless it.

Let’s Make This Legal (Year 27): Teldrassil’s corruption worsened and it’s discovered that Xavius, an ancient Highborne noble and the first satyr, was responsible, and that Staghelm was part of it and that he induced Malfurion’s coma. With the aid of other druids and the Green dragonflight, the nightmare was defeated. Ysera and Alexstrasza blessed Teldrassil, restoring nature's bond with the night elves. Tyrande and Malfurion are formerly married, concreting the night elven government as a co-leadership.

Welcome Home (Year 28): Mordent Evenshade sought an audience with Tyrande they combine resources, skills and numbers to prepare the wider night elven race for the challenges and Tyrande accepts and night elves are permitted to learn the ways of arcane magic.After an outbreak spread the worgen curse in Gilneas, the Shattering also destroyed the reefs which protected this human kingdom from naval attacks and the Forsaken take advantage of this and invade. The night elves intervened and helped the worgen in acquiring the Scythe of Elune so they could to understand and deal with their transformation. They welcomed the worgen into Teldrassil, allowing several female worgen warriors to join the Sentinel army and bringing Worgen druids into the Cenarion Circle.The Shatterspear tribe joined the Horde assaulted northern Darkshore, though the night elves were able to fend off the attack. Two  Horde offensives were launched against Ashenvale and both were stopped. However their assault on the new settlements of the Bilgewater Cartel in Azshara was held off,and a massive Horde-constructed bomb destroyed Thal'darah Grove in the Stonetalon Mountains. The biggest contribution for the night elveswas at Mount Hyjal, where Ragnaros invaded to try and destroy Nordrassil and the Cenarion Circle. The Shadow Wardens and the Green Dragonflight united against him, forming the Guardians of Hyjal. They were successful in fighting off the initial fire elemental invasion, resurrecting several of the Ancient Guardians. Aided by Fandral Staghelm and his newly formed Druids of the Flame even managed to infiltrate the Firelands, killing Ragnaros and many of his lieutenants, including Staghelm, as well as constructing the Sentinel Tree to keep watch over the area.

I Wanna Live Forever (Year 30): To restore the immortality of the Night elves, Lorekeeper Vaeldrin looked for the Pools of Youth, created by an ancient civilization that predated Queen Azshara. He opened a portal to the Krasarang Wilds. Tyrande had a vision sent a group Sentinels, led by Vaeldrin's daughter, Lyalia, However, the target of the spell had been warded using lost Mogu magic, imprisoning the expedition in a magic bubble that slowly drained their life. An Alliance adventurer freed them with the help of Kang Bramblestaff, and the freed expedition constructed a base camp to search for the pools. It turned out that the pools do not grant their immortality freely. Instead, they are used to transfer life energies from one person to another. Lyalia is captured and killed. Vaeldrin, using some of the water from the pools, used his own life energy to save her. The night elves also helped the Pandaren fight off the Dojani mogu and aiding in the defense of Stoneplow.Later on, being one of the largest forces the night elves gained a strong presence at the Shrine of Seven Stars. A powerful artifact called the  [Divine Bell] was discovered. and he night elves moved it to their capital for study and safekeeping. The city was infiltrated and the bell was stolen by the Horde. During the Siege of Orgrimmar, Tyrande had mustered an army of her people in Ashenvale and began a slow march towards Orgrimmar. She and her Sentinels then distracted Garrosh's Kor'kron, allowing Alliance forces and Darkspear rebels to invade the city.

A Very Bad Dream (Year 32): The Emerald Nightmare is revealed to be still active, its source being located at the tainted World Tree, Shaladrassil in Val'sharah Xavius re-established his ties to the Burning Legion and attempts to use the Nightmare to corrupt the world, however, his true loyalties remain with the Old Gods. He captures Malfurion and taunts Tyrande away, distracting her so he can corrupt Ysera. He succeeds and the adventurer along with the elves are forced to slay her. Xavius is killed and the Emerald Nightmare begins to dissipate and the Emerald Dream is restored. Later, the prime naaru, Xe'ra, sent her [Light’s Heart] to transmit an urgent message to the defenders of Azeroth that reveals she believes Illidan was a foretold champion to save the world and adventurers sought to revive him. He aided the Armies of Legionfall in Tomb of Sargeras and Kil'jaeden is killed. Illidan had forced their hands into immediately landing the army into an invasion of the Legion’s homeworld, Argus, as he had left a rift from Azeroth to Argus open. He is present  Argus Campaign and ventures into Antorus to free the Pantheon and Argus’s world-soul from the Burning Legion’s grasp. The Pantheon was eventually freed and the Vindicaar’s champions slew Argus the Unmaker, the dark titan created from Argus’s world-soul. Sargeras was imprisoned in the Seat of the Pantheon, Illidan serving as his jailor.

Vengeance is Best Served Dark (Year 33): Sylvanas Windrunner invades the night elven lands of Darkshore and burns down Teldrassil during the War of the Thorns. Tyrande, Maiev, Sira Moonwarden and Shandris Feathermoon approached King Anduin Wrynn to ask for aid in retaking their lands. However, due to their campaigns in Zandalar, Arathi, and Kul Tiras, Alliance forced were too far spread and he had to refuse. Tyrande went ahead to retake Darkshore herself. Along with an adventurer, the three other elves follow her and find her ship at Zoram Strand, which contained a book about the ancient ritual of the Night Warrior, a dangerous feat. She however succeeds and they track down  Nathanos Blightcaller and the Val'kyr attempting to raise Delaryn Summermoon. While Tyrande manages to kill one Val’kyr, Sira is killed during the battle and both her and Delaryn are raised in undeath. Sira walked away from the battlefiled, now calling herself a Dark Ranger. Delaryn is made a Dark ranger captain. Sira opposes Maiev during the Darkshore Warfront.

Physical traits

Life expectancy: Prior to the destruction of Nordrassil, the world tree granted immortality to the night elves. It’s unclear as to whether elves born after this event continue to age as mortal races do.

Height: Night elves tend to grow to around 7 feet (7 for females, 7.5 for males).

Eye colours: Night elves most commonly have silver eyes, but historically those born with amber eyes are prophesied to be powerful.

Abilities: All night elves possess the ability to Shadowmeld and stealth even in mid-combat. This is believed to have been gifted to them by their moon Goddess, Elune.

Cosmetics: Female night elves bare facial markings around their eyes that represent an aspect of their skills or personality. It is believed that is is part of a rite of passage ritual. Those without markings are highly unusual and this means that they are either too young to have undergone the rite, or are of Highborne descent.

Personality traits

Tree huggers: Night elves are raised in a culture of respecting nature and earth, their society is heavily ingrained with a reverence for the all forms of life. You’d be hard pressed to find an night elf that doesn’t care for nature. Littering, hunting for sport, torturing prisoners, or otherwise desecrating natural land/life wouldn’t be characteristic of a night elf.

Other races: Due to their isolation being broken by orcs taking from the forest, night elves tend to be wary of other races. This can range from outright prejudice to mild caution. With their bonds now strong with the Alliance, the latter reaction to others is more likely. They have a unique bond with the draenei as they landed close to Darkshore which is night elf territory, and were the first other humanoid race the draenei encountered on Azeroth. A draenei ambassador has been known to stand to the right to the leaders in Darnassus and draenei have been entrusted in caring for specific outposts and sites of night elf importance.

Other creatures: Night elves are known to have a great fondness for two animals in particular: nightsabers and owls. Nightsabers serve as mounts for them and owls as sentries. It is therefore unlikely for them to hunt these creatures for food.

Culture 

Language: Night elves speak mostly in their native tongue, Darnassian, but also know Furbolg and Thalassian (language of the high elves, blood elves, void elves). They learned Common to better communicate with their human counterparts. It could be considered reasonable to assume that due to a common origin, they also have knowledge of Nazja (the language of the Naga). However, night elves are known to be offended by comparisons between their tongue and that of their disgraced Thalassian-speaking and aquatic cousins because of ideological differences.

Government: Night elves are one of the few races that have a co-leadership. Tyrande is the most prominent leader alongside her mate Malfurion. Prior the The Sundering, the Sisterhood of Elune, a sect of priests, held the most power. 

 Military: The most central form of defence for civilian areas are the Sentinels, an elite guard of mostly female warriors that have strong ties to the Sisterhood, established approximately in Year -9,400. Tyrande served as the General of the Sentinels until she appointed her second-in-command Shandris Feathermoon to lead them after the Third War. The Watchers, a law-enforcement acting body, originated within night elf society and performed as jailors for night elf prisoners, members volunteering from the Sisterhood of Elune. They were created when Maiev Shadowsong put herself forward to guard Illidan Stormrage after he attempted to create a second Well of Eternity following The Sundering. The highest rank of the Watchers is Warden, employed as jailors, assassins and bounty hunters.

Religion: The Moon Goddess Elune is central to the night elf culture. It would be extremely hard to find a night elf that doesn’t believe or respect the goddess. The Sisterhood of Elune, currently led by Tyrande as their High Priestess, is the oldest night elf order known to Azeroth. Alike the Sentinels, although men are welcome, most members are female. Night elves consider Elune to be a single entity in a world of many rather than their own interpretation of a single god or powerful figure; when Velen commented on the similarities between Elune and the naaru, Tyrande requested that he not make such claims when in Darnassus or in the presence in the Sisterhood of Elune. 

Druidism: Malfurion is the first of the mortal druids, trained around Year -10,000 by Cenarius. After the creation of Nordrassil, Dragon Aspect Ysera bound the druids to her and her realm of the Emerald Dream. The Cenarion Circle was eventually formed as a governing force of the druids. Druids work in four specialisations: Balance, Feral, Restoration and Guardian: all obtaining their powers from within the earth. Along with the tauren, night elves have a special connection with the craft.

Traditions

It is common practice to take a fang from a deceased nightsaber mount in remembrance for it.

Night elf children are given an owl on their first birthday.

The motivation to keep writing is largely thanks to you, yes, You, the one reading these words. As I write them, it feels as tho we are connected, on a level that cannot be easily explained. Now, less sentimentality, and let’s get this PSA underway.

I’ve been working on the latest addition to my page, and the aim for it is to be a lot longer than my previous stories. Some time in the future I would like for it to be released as a book, but that may be aiming for the stars with a broken slingshot. But nonetheless, I have set a goal, and I intend to pursue that goal like a stubborn child clinging to his favorite toy. I will be releasing excerpts, but given the depth of the storyline, as well as considering the time it takes a fully fledged author (which I am not) to write a decent book, there may be large gaps of time where I won’t be posting anything at all. But it is my sincerest hope to bring forth a story that you will enjoy, in fact the enjoyment of reading the story when it is finished is my only motivation. The possibility of my writing bringing some form of financial reward to the table would absolutely be a tremendous bonus, but it’s not something that I’m counting on in the foreseeable future.

But enough about that now. I promised you an excerpt, and I shall deliver. Feedback is greatly appreciated, good or bad, if you have an opinion, I want to hear it. A Tale Of Time. Chapter I.

Far away from home.

The bright white sky above him was breathtaking, almost unbelievable. The two Suns was a magnificent sight all on itself, but the two large planets, visible even in the daytime sky, made it all feel unreal. The furthest planet reminded him of the pictures he'd seen of distant planets as a child, but this one had rings. The rings were turned on its head, going north to south, and covered much of the planets appearance, although it was painfully obvious he should’ve crashed on that planet instead. That planet had both oceans and vegetation, and an atmosphere. He could even faintly see the white clouds as they went on their way. The other large planet was on the opposite side of the planet he stood on, much closer to the binary star, and had paid a terrible price for it. The surface looked like a charred steak, cooked for far to long, and too close to the fire. It reminded him of burned flesh, covered in ash. If it weren't for the sun visor built into his helmet he wouldn't even have been able to turn his gaze anywhere near the source of light, it was simply too close and too bright for Terran eyes. Even with the visor down, the light hurt his eyes, but it was surely a sight to see. The two stars rotated so close to each other, it was almost hard to make out where one ended, and the other one started. He could see that the smaller one had started drawing mass from the bigger one, a sure sign that a supernova was due to happen soon. Well, soon considering an astronomical scale. It could be tomorrow, it could be in a million years. He had to look away, or risk permanently damaging his eyes. He blinked a few times, the sun spots on his eyes would take some time to disappear. There wasn’t a single cloud in the sky, most likely because there just wasn't enough moisture in the atmosphere to form even a single tiny cloud. And what little wind there was, only brought more heat, and sand. If it wasn’t for the slight situation he found himself in, he would’ve been amazed by the view and the scenery. The scorching sand below wasn’t much better than the bright light. Every step with his bulky boots was a struggle, the weight on his back and shoulders made the desperate fight for his life far worse. But at least he hadn’t chosen the black suit, and the suit did keep most of the heat from the sunlight off of him. “Cherish the little things in life sweetie, soon they’ll be gone, and then you’ll have nothing.” That’s what S'am used to say to him when he got cranky. If she had been here she would’ve had a few harsh words to say to him, that’s for sure. He could see her face in his mind, that short red hair, and the way her big blue eyes twinkled when she tilted her head to the side and smiled. And that cute little wrinkle she got between her eyebrows, she'd do that sometimes, mostly when he had done something stupidly dangerous. What he wouldn't give to see that face just one more time before... He shook his head violently, trying to shake his thoughts in order. No, that train of thought was not leaving the station. He tried to think of something else, but there wasn’t much else to occupy his mind. Sand. Sand dunes. A few small rocks sticking out of the dirt. More sand dunes. It didn't matter where he looked, it all looked pretty much the same. But he knew he couldn't just sit down and wait for the inevitable.

"You gotta keep moving, Jackass." He said to himself as he started walking. The concept of time quickly became completely pointless in this burning hell. There was nothing but sand and small patches of rough, dry dirt as far as the eyes could see. He couldn’t for the life of him remember the name of the binary star this god forsaken planet orbited around, but he remembered that both the inner planets were tidal locked. That meant that, if he was unlucky, which he apparently had a habit of being, he may have to cross a quarter of the planets circumference before finding some form of shelter. And to make matters worse, he felt the heat had already taken a heavy toll on his mind. He could hardly remember his own name. “One more step, Bru'ce. Just one more step.” That was the only thing he focused on, the next step forward. He couldn’t even begin to guess how far he’d walked, or for how long. But his survival instincts and his training took over, and ushered him forward. He knew damn well that the chances of him finding shelter was low, so he had made sure that he at least wasn’t wandering in circles. As he reached the crest of a small sand dune he stopped and turned around. The tangled mess that had once been his parachute, and the only reason he was still alive, dragged behind him. He looked to see if the lines it made in the sand behind him were somewhat straight. To his surprise, they were. Well, sort of. Not the straightest lines he’d seen or made, but absolutely good enough. With the sun on his back he kept walking. He was certain the two suns had been higher when he started, so he must be getting somewhere. But he hadn’t a single clue as to what he was aiming for. But there had to be something, somewhere. If he could find the escape pod, if there was anything left of it, then maybe he could send a distress signal. The relay wasn’t that far, it should be able to pick up the signal. Hopefully. No, definitely. It was going to work, he was getting off this lifeless rock alive. He just had to work hard for it. He adjusted the solar panels behind his helmet, trying to deflect as much light as possible. It had started getting hot as soon as he had woken up. He had flashbacks of the chaos on the ship, something catastrophic had happened, but he couldn't say exactly what. The onboard computer had been beeping furiously, just about every alarm possible had gone off at the same time. No cabin pressure, engines failed. Even the damn near indestructible antigravity reactor had gone offline. Then, darkness, and falling. He had woken up again in the escape pod as it tumbled down towards the surface. The emergency parachutes had deployed too soon, and burned up in the scorching hot atmosphere. If he hadn't bailed out in time and deployed the suits built in parachutes he would've been as dead as... Well, as dead as this planet. His thought were interrupted by the water reclaimer beeping discreetly in his ear. He glanced at the cracked display on his left arm. Water level at 35%. It had been 20% just a little while ago, but the thought of drinking his own recycled body fluids felt less appealing than ever. At least his batteries were fully charged. He knew he wouldn’t suffocate, unless the carbon filters clogged up due to all the sand. The rest of the display wasn’t much use, the atmospheric data was unreadable, and he wasn’t going to remove the only shade he had either way. The chances of this planet having an oxygen-based atmosphere, in sufficient quantities, were probably not the best. He laughed to himself. "Not the best? That's the understatement of the century right there." He kept his eye on the horizon and kept walking. “Come on, Bru'ce. One more step. I’m coming home, S'am. Just one more.” He started walking down the sand dune, desperate to find something.

The Prophecy in Revelation 12 Is Fulfilled!

The Israelites prophesy that after 2017 or 2018, it will be the age of Messiah and something big will happen. Nowadays, disasters occur frequently all around the world and the situation of every country is in turmoil. Many people are watching the dynamics of the fulfillment of these prophecies. Recently, an unusual celestial event has happened, and caused an Internet uproar. That is, the fulfillment of Revelation 12 on September 23. As it was prophesied in Revelation, “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars …” (Revelation 12:1). And this great wonder has occurred.

Astronomers have, after accurate calculation, ever claimed: On November 20, 2016, Jupiter, the King Planet, the symbol of the Planet of the King of the kingdom, will enter the womb of the constellation Virgo where it will remain and undergo a retrograde motion for 42 weeks, the precise length of the woman’s gestation period. And it will not exit Virgo until September 9, 2017. On September 23, the moon will be right at the feet of Virgo, and the sun will be in the constellation Virgo. Besides, the nine stars of constellation Leo, plus the three planets—Mercury, Venus and Mars which are in near-perfect alignment, a total of twelve stars, will appear above the head of Virgo. This rare and once-in-a-thousand-yearphenomenon is a fulfillment of the prophecy in Revelation 12:1.

Astronomers and some Bible scholars believe that the occurrence of this unusual phenomenon is not by accident. Next, great events will occur and, the years from 2017 to 2018 are bound to be an extraordinary period of time.

During that time, this thing received much comment on the Internet, and many people were looking forward to the occurrence of this phenomenon. What are Christians’ opinions? I have collected some novel opinions online to share with you.

A commenter wrote, “Witnessing the fulfillment of the verses from the Bible, the pastors and elders of the religious world repeatedly tell us, ‘The great disaster has come. The Lord will return.’ To be honest, the pastors and elders have said these words for many years. However, we just see the disasters grow greater year by year, and the verses prophesying the Lord’s return have been fulfilled, but we still haven’t welcome the Lord. The Bible says, ‘For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry’ (Hebrews 10:37). So I hazard a guess: The Lord may have long ago returned and begun to do the work of the last days to classify man according to their kind. If so, then we haven’t followed the Lord’s work, so it’s hard to say whether or not we are forsaken by the Lord. Our top priority is to find the Lord’s appearance and His work right away. If someone testifies that the Lord has returned, we should listen, seek and investigate carefully, and shouldn’t follow the pastors and elders blindly. God once said, ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge …’ (Hosea 4:6). It can be seen that if we are foolish and ignorant, unable to differentiate, and we parrot the words of others, then we’ll be most at risk and will most easily be deceived. Even if we are deceived, we cannot blame anyone else, for God has long told us, ‘Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird’ (Revelation 18:2). ‘Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues’ (Revelation 18:4). The desolation in the religious world didn’t happen overnight. And the religious community has long since lost the work of the Holy Spirit. The religious chaos is also quite common. Seeing the actual condition, lots of leading sheep and good sheep in the church all looked for the church with the work of the Holy Spirit and finally many of them found the Church of Almighty God. How did this happen? This phenomenon arouses my curiosity. Could it be that the Church of Almighty God has the Holy Spirit’s work?”

Another person commented, “I’ve seen on Facebook the Church of Almighty God testifies that the Lord has returned, that His work has already been accomplished and that He has already made complete a group of overcomers. This completely fulfills the saying that God will make complete a group of overcomers before the disasters. In the past, in religious world, some exegetical scholars said, ‘The church will be taken up before the disaster.’ Now the four blood moons have come and the great disaster is about to fall, but we haven’t been raptured. Then they say, ‘It can’t be taken up before the disaster, but may be taken up during the disaster,’ and some say, ‘The church may be taken up after the disaster.’ Now, all over the world, only the Church of Almighty God testifies that the Lord has returned. It seems that it’s possible to say that the church will be taken up before the disaster. It’s just that the Church of Almighty God is raptured, while we’re still in the dark and foolishly waiting.”

A third person said, “These prophecies in the Book of Revelation prophesied the work that the returning Lord Jesus does. We really can’t interpret them at our will. In the beginning, when the Lord Jesus was born, many people then held up the coming of the Lord Jesus against that of a Messiah foretold in the Old Testament. When they found inconsistencies, they furiously resisted and condemned the Lord Jesus. After the Lord Jesus’ resurrection and ascent to heaven, many people realized the prophecies concerning the coming of the Messiah were all fulfilled in the Lord Jesus, without the slightest discrepancy. However, they had committed a great sin at that time and it was too late for regret. Nowadays, in this pivotal point when a new age is replacing an old one, we indeed need to pay attention to hearing God’s voice like wise virgins. Before, in China, many devout believers had believed in Almighty God. At that time, I heard they said, ‘I’d believed in the Lord for many years and read the Book of Revelation many times, but I didn’t know how the Lord would carry out His work in the last days. After I believed in Almighty God and read His words, I understand what the Revelation means, because Almighty God has unlocked all the mysteries in the Book of Revelation. Compared to Almighty God’s work, these prophecies have come true and there is no difference.’ After coming overseas, I sometimes read Almighty God’s words online. You don’t say, even I, who have never believed in the Lord, understand a little of the Revelation, for Almighty God’s words have stated it very clearly. But there are a lot of things I don’t understand. Due to my busy work, I didn’t take belief in God seriously. Now seeing these prophesies are fulfilled and listening to your sharing, I think I should also investigate Almighty God’s work.”

I have benefited a lot from the sharing of the brothers and sisters. What unpredictable changes will the occurrence of this phenomenon on September 23 bring? Let us wait and see. What’s more, astronomers have ever calculated that there will appear another unusual astronomical phenomenon on October 5, 2017, which will fulfill the prophesy in Isaiah 24:23. And that day is just the great day of the Jews’ Feast of Tabernacles. It is not by accident that these strange phenomena happened in succession. They are hidden things and none can explain. In a word, these two years will be an extraordinary period of time. Though we don’t know how God does His work next, yet as the above net friends say, at this critical moment, our priority is to look for and follow the footsteps of God. In this way, when God’s work concludes and the great calamity befalls, we may not be forsaken by the Lord or fall into disaster.
