Totally F***ed Up (also known as Totally Fucked Up) is a 1993 American drama film written and directed by Gregg Araki. The first installment of Araki's Teenage Apocalypse film trilogy, it is considered a seminal entry in the New Queer Cinema genre.

Araki classified it as "a rag-tag story of the fag-and-dyke teen underground....a kinda cross between avant-garde experimental cinema and a queer John Hughes flick."

Nowhere is a 1997 American black comedy drama film written and directed by Gregg Araki. Described by Araki as "Beverly Hills 90210 on acid", the film follows a day in the lives of a group of Los Angeles college students and the strange lives that they lead. It stars an ensemble cast led by James Duval and Rachel True.

Like the other films in the trilogy, it contains scenes of graphic violence and sexuality. The film notably includes several cast members on the verge of stardom.

Gregg Araki (born December 17, 1959) is an American filmmaker. He is noted for his heavy involvement with the New Queer Cinema movement. His film Kaboom (2010) was the first winner of the Cannes Film Festival Queer Palm.

Araki was born in Los Angeles on December 17, 1959, to Japanese American parents. He grew up in nearby Santa Barbara, California, and enrolled in college at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He graduated with a B.A. from UCSB in 1982. He later attended the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts, where he graduated with a Master of Fine Arts in 1985.

Oh, some more thoughts on last night's show in Sendai:

Kaoru propped his left foot onto the big speaker in front of him a couple of times, which allowed me to see his entire awesome victorian outfit. There was a song where they projected live footage of the members on the back screen, around the time of Soshaku in the setlist I think, and the screening started with Kaoru. But he was in that position with his left leg raised and folded, and what we saw was a proper crotch shot for several seconds. Then, the cameraman who was tasked with filming him seemed to come out of his trance, realized that his footage was the one featured in the background live, and he promptly raised the camera to capture Kaoru's face instead hah.

In that same song, Kyo clearly stayed longer in front of his cameraman, crouched and growling, and when he knew that the footage was being projected on the screen, he pointed between his eyes and the camera lens, even though we were like right there, to his right hah. He had a teasing expression on his face.

And my feedback on Sendai is that... Damn, for some reason those people seem way taller than in Sapporo. I don't know how many in the audience don't live in the region, but everyone in the VIP queues was taller than me. If I hadn't had a good number, I would have struggled to find a spot with a clear view of the stage.

There were also complaints on Twitter from Japanese fans about how ridiculously high their numbers for VIP were, which was most likely in the 300s. They blamed sunkrad's greediness and declared that they wouldn't buy VIP ever again. But I think part of it was that: 1) the VIP area had been a bit bare, from my experience, so they could definitely fit more people; 2) Sendai PIT's front area seemed larger than usual, so maybe there was a particularly high number of VIPs just because of that venue.

Transcription of my 3 blogs yesterday re: 1992 HIV test results

I decided to type out the contents of the three blogs that I posted yesterday re: February 10-12, 1992 entries concerning HIV test results. The way that I posted them yesterday made it hard to follow the story line. I've include some editorial notes as points of reference.

Page 1:  2/10/1992 Monday

First day back. Has a good feeling  to it—fully alive—robust. Trials stretching out to mid April Two preliminary hearings tomorrow. It’s all wild, wooly, crazy stuff. (This is in regard to the Deputy Public Defender job that I had in 1992.)

Dinner with Anne and Steve tonight. A lot of talk about HIV (HIV-AIDs virus). Anne tests again tomorrow. I get my HIV test results at 10:30am Wednesday.

Arturo and I discussed the possibilities (of my HIV test reults). He told me that when he found out (he had tested positive with the HIV virus) he could not sleep all night..

My feeling is—if I got it, I got it. That bugged Steve. I just wanna snuggle and sleep. Nite.

2/11/1992 Tuesday

Just now our wind—is silent…a mournful train whistle speaks through the space that the wind has left behind.

Tomorrow, the HIV test results. I don’t really think about bit too much. Maybe, deep down, I do a lot.

2/12/1992. Wednesday

Test results were “non reactive”…thank god. “You can test again in 3 to 6 months if you want to. 

‘ Eg: from late last November , point of last possible transmission via Alan.

The negative results makes me feel more solid about life.

Steven gave me a hug saying “I’m glad you are OK.” Suprized me.

And, the beat and rhythm of life goes on. I’m really glad that I tested, for the experience, to say I diid it. I did my rhythm dance up to the time of it and found that there was no way to be prepared. All I asked was  “as much as possible, be open to the feelings, whatever they may be."

“The game is not to get it” AIDS… instruction to 9769. Today, we were all numbers…0033, 00 this, 97 that—waiting (for the HIV test results) in the (hospital) hallway with the cemetery (across the street) view. “Is my trip shortened?” Is my journey lighter by time and distance?”

For me, for now, the answer is No, in this odd world where negative is good and positive is bad.

I feel an underlying joy, but a surface level melancholy…Why? For those who have gone before? I don’t know.’
