it's a dream of mine since i was a wee one (as in, 4 years old) to own a chinese water dragon, but unfortunately it's not easy to get them in my area ... but i have 2 old dogs and a fluffy cat!
unfortunately i only take good pictures of ONE of my dogs, and that's just because gummybear is too damn old to be photogenic anymore 💀
this is bearbear (dog) and toomas (cat) though! he is named toomas because he is TOO MUCH. (directly just, too-"many" in spanish)
i am most definitely a reptile person though. i LOVE lizards so much, and i was obsessed with snakes when i was 10. but i am just as happy with my fluffy guys !! :D

sometimes the only defense I have against trauma denial is that this system would not be this way if none of it happened. these trauma responses and behaviors and triggers are spread across a massive amount of parts and fragments, even if visual memory is blocked. it's supposed to be, that's how dissociative barriers work. the trauma only existed while it was happening as a child, which kept us alive. no shit it's still blocked now, even for those of us who directly experienced it.
#I read recently that the kind of constant flooding we experienced from 2020 to 2023 was not typical of the process of unrepression#so I think it's very possible that how we're experiencing this now- as short but intense bursts- is pretty normal#but it feels like having lost everything because there were so many visceral visual/somatic/tactile flashbacks bombaring us 24/7 for 3 years#not to mention that the blow of our mother (a fellow csa survivor) not believing us did a massive amount of damage#and her denying it just couldn't exist at the same time as the knowledge that it was real and the memories of it.#so yeah. of course my stupid brain decided that our mother had to be right. that was supposed to be the less painful road#huh. thinking through this feels like turning a corner somehow.#that'd be nice but I'm not hopeful. that would require good things to happen in this system + 90% of our gatekeepers to not be assholes

#:)#knowing where i *want* the story to go does not elucidate me on where the story actually *is* going#i am surprised by this story as much as you#this is the part where i confess to nobody's surprise that the pickle route outline document is like a one page google doc#the entire Process of pickle route has always been the like half dozen scenes i thought would be funny/poignant back in 2020#and then my desire to scaffold a quarter of a million words around them to justify their existence#when the story's done i'll point out the precious few premeditated scenes#for reference of the like 6 or so that exist only 3 of them have actually come into being#next one is 7-6. then it's [redacted] in (seven). and also the ending#everything else is a fun surprise we'll just have to uncover along the way

this is so funny to me actually bcuz this is 100% how i talk abt my characters ages. i know what YEAR they were born and i know what rheir ages are supposed to be at the start of the story but i dont actually know when it takes place?? im really bad at math. There was a moment where rainbow was supposed to be 23 and i somehow accidentally made her 17 lmfao
#theoretically it would take place in 2021 bcuz thats when i created my object ocs but the more time passes#the weirder it feels to have it take place years in the past#i considered moving up their birthdays by a few years but like. idk i like their birthdays theyre cute :3#bubblegum is SUPPOSED TO BE 15 and she was born july 2007#watermelon is supposed to be 7 and he was born june 2014#etc etc#starr is 27 and she was born september uhhh 1995 or 1997 i actually dont remember. whichever one makes sense#also that would mean building block was born in 2020 and since she's always gonna be a baby the furhter away we get#it means that she wouldnt have even been born when the story is actually supposed to take place. Like#i know their birthdays and their ages and what year they were born everybody else has to do the math#to figure out wtf is going on because I DONT KNOW#also that means that building block would be a pandemic baby lmao 😭#what was rhe vibe in nigeria in august 2020 during the pandemic. well i say that like it even happened in their universe#which there really isnt any reason for that to be true#it isnt historically important to mention like..... world war two or slavery or whatever. fucking obviously. in the context of objects#it gets messy so its better to just Not#also the months the characters were born really fuck me up bcuz jayden was born in late december#so for most of the first year that they met he would be.... younger than he actually is being born in 2003#but since building's block birthday and exact age is the most important timeline-wise#and she was born august 14th 2020 and she's seven months old when they first meet#then it canonically would take place in march 2021 which was my original intention#bcuz that is the actual date that i first created my object ocs#ANYWAY. boring character age ramblings#but its hard to keep track of so i dont even blame the author!!!! birthdays are weird and hard to keep up w/#when you dont know exactly when your story is supposed to take place#assuming its in a normal-ish world im sure fantasy ocs dont have this problem#txt#object ocs

rewatching eternal sunshine of the spotless mind and pulp fiction in theaters next week two movies i didn't even love when i watched them the first time but this is what you do for love
#they're doing a marathon first movie at 7(pm) 4th movie at 3 we're only going to the first two because idk we have lives and things to do#places to be...and also 4 movies would be a lot#first movie ends at 9 second movie starts at 10 so we'll eat between the two and it's gonna be great#it's funny because we said we were gonna do this on the thursday we went to see the substance like when we were at the bar after and then#my bff sent a message in the groupchat to be like hey we're doing this if anyone wants to come!!! and only the people who had already said#we were coming reacted#it's not funny but like it is funny#i wasn't focused enough when i watched eternal sunshine of the spotless mind that's what i remember. and i watched them in april 2020 so 4#and a half years ago and i gave 3.5 stars to both it's not like i hated them. i just didn't love them like i never would have paid to see#them again just for the movie#and like i say: brf slt
