Modeling system could enable future generations of self-sensing materials
Research that eliminates the guesswork in developing advanced 3D printed materials could help accelerate the development of new forms of "self-sensing" airplanes, robots, bridges and more. A team of engineers led by researchers from the University of Glasgow have developed the first system capable of modeling the complex physics of 3D-printed composites capable of detecting strain, load, and damage using nothing more than a measure of electrical current. By allowing material scientists to predict in advance for the first time how new structures can be fine-tuned to produce specific combinations of strength, stiffness, and self-sensing properties, it could help catalyze the development of revolutionary new applications for the technology.

Prototype time!
My first project in 2025. It was nice trip down memory lane, returning to 8bit micro controller. I am still trying to get the hang of the printing setup and new filament so the printing is pretty poor on this one.

I've only recently picked up the H-3 Nozzlenose (because for the longest time I thought I'd be awful at it) but it's honestly crazy just how fun it is
I haven't had so much fun with a weapon in a while. It is so satisfying I swear
The sound for the direct shots... both their kits... the way you can continuous fire by timing inputs right... fucking around
Wish I could put my Splatoon thoughts into words. I love this weapon
#i cant decide if i like vH-3 or H-3D better#im honestly finding H-3D a little more fun because of how defensive it is#but i have a mild point sensor bias. and cooler is like. THE special currently#but H-3D is such fun to play#for a very long time from the start of the game til only like 2 months ago i fully believed I'd suck at this weapon#hell even noob me back at the beginning held such harsh opinions such as “why would ANYONE play this”#ohhh you fool. you silly motherfucker. this is the most fun youve had in a while#its funny. every weapon i thought I'd hate at the beginning is like. my main now#splatoon#Gameplay//#<- guess it goes there

Will do.
#Homebrew on the 3DS took a while.#While Flashcards like Gateway were already Possible#through a combination of two Cards#One that installs an Extremely Large String in the DS Modes Status#And another that abuses the Now compromised 3DS to run Pirates Software.#However this Exploit could not install Homebrew.#Homebrew without Hardware Modification only became Possible shortly before the New 3DS Release.#Through an Exploit named Ninjhax.#This Exploit abused an Major Vulnerability in the Terrible 3DS Game Cube Ninja.#Cube Ninja was a Game that was mostly played using the Gyro Sensors#and it included a Level Creator that would save Levels as QR-Codes that you could share.#However there was no Limit on the Size that these Levels could have.#So using an Custom QR-Code The Game generated an Ridiculously Large Level#that Compromised the Console to the Point that First Homebrew Became possible.#Cube Ninja quickly became the most sold game on the eShop#before Nintendo took it down that is.#Eventually Ninjhax became Obsolete with the discovery of easier and more powerful Exploits.#But thats a Story for another Time.

Ultracompact fiber-tip sensor achieves high sensitivity in magnetic field and temperature measurements
Magnetic field sensing plays a pivotal role in numerous fields of medical, transportation and aerospace. The optical fiber-based magnetic field sensor possesses outstanding characteristics of compactness, long-distance interrogation, low cost and high sensitivity, which has attracted intensive interest. However, the fiber-based magnetic field sensor is generally affected by the temperature perturbation. Recently, although the temperature crosstalk can be effectively eliminated by integrating multiple sensing elements, it is at the cost of increasing the size of the whole sensing components, and the different spatial location of multiple elements could cause the measurement errors in the multi-parameter discriminative sensing. In a new paper published in Light: Advanced Manufacturing, a team of scientists, led by Professor Limin Xiao from Advanced Fiber Devices and Systems Group, Key Laboratory of Micro and Nano Photonic Structures (MoE), Key Laboratory for Information Science of Electromagnetic Waves (MoE), Shanghai Engineering Research Center of Ultra-Precision Optical Manufacturing, School of Information Science and Technology, Fudan University, China, and co-workers have developed an ultracompact multicore fiber (MCF) tip probes for magnetic field and temperature discriminative sensing.
