hello Kristen!! I come to ask you to choose between 5sos songs: Alex Gaskarth co-written edition!
Disconnected OR Long Way Home
End Up Here OR Kiss Me Kiss Me
Catch Fire OR Over and Out
can you believe how many songs they've written together?!? I literally feel so #grateful when I remember these songs exist 😌😋 like a few of these are rly some of my fave 5sos songs actually.... their combined talent is literally so powerful. also I do love reading linear notes and learning about the credits. for example I just found out rn that story of another us (another absolute fave of mine) was written by Luke and Josh Ramsey aka lead singer of Marianas Trench (one of my fave bands and also one of the most creative and talented bands) and he is also the guy who co-wrote call me maybe!! like... I just love it when my worlds collide like this. Lol and that's been Trish's Sunday night fun fact corner!! thank u and goodnight haha
TRISH
Do you want me dead? pun intended FOR REAL
Cannot believe I have to choose between disconnected and long way home 😭
Listen I love disconnected with all my heart forever and always….however, in the livesos version of long way home they literally say “this next song, is a very special song of ours. We wrote it with Mr! Alex! Gaskarth!” LIKE HOW CAN YOU NOT. For that reason I have to choose long way home 😔
Okay next one, KISS ME KISS ME. It’s literally my favorite off of self titled. When depressed teenager Kristen heard the words “here’s to teenage memories” uh huh
lastly, over and out 100000% are you kidding me that song is so good. LIKE BECAUSE OF YOU????? IM GONE FOR GOOD AND THATS THE TRUTH!!! AND THEN THAT BRIDGE UGHHHH
I had no idea alex co-wrote all of those songs. I knew about long way home and disconnected. But none of the others
Ikr!! I love when worlds collide like that! When big time rush announced they were releasing a new album after YEARSS. There was a preview of them recording with someone who had a future hearts platinum record hanging up in the background and I remember losing my mind
Send me two 5sos songs and I’ll tell you which one I like better!

When We Collide (Part 40)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Assistant!Y/N/CEO!Luke
Rating: NC-17
Masterlist: Here
Summary: He is the definition of high class smart ass, swimming in Dom Pierre Pérignon champagne and has never seen the shadow of poverty. She is underprivileged, lives in a messy dorm room on sale and struggles working as an assistant after being thrown out of college. But how will they collide when Luke makes Y/N pregnant after a drunkenly one night stand
When We Collide on Wattpad
“Air Canada Flight 759 just landed in Newark Airport. Remember your luggage and we wish you a pleasant stay in New York.”
The female voice over the speakers almost sounded mechanical. In every airport it was a different voice but this was all too familiar.
You looked up at Luke who threw his bag over his shoulder after grabbing it from the conveyor belt. When the female wasn’t speaking she was replaced by calm music that could compare to something from an elevator.
“You need any help?” You asked just to be sure but he shook his head quickly and headed towards the exit.
There was no place like home.
If a plane flight could have been compared to a roller coaster this would have been the right one to get the tingling burning sensation in your stomach.
With a 25 hour planned flight with only one stop in between in Toronto, you would have sworn it wouldn’t be able to get through. With the mix of turbulence and a kid screaming at row 53 it didn’t even matter if you were sat at first class.
That kid was able to scream at the top of either his or hers lungs until blood would leak from your ears.
It didn’t help that Luke clumsily had spilled wine all over his pants during the bumpy ride. You weren’t even the one to laugh because after attempting to take a nap for twenty minutes you had given up completely.
Safe to say, you were both lacking sleep and it was shown by the way you were acting towards one another.
“Have you called Patrick?” You had probably asked this for the fifth time but the lack of sleep erased your memory. Better ask more than once than forgetting about it all.
“He said he would figure out what to do. It’s afternoon even though in our minds it’s something way different,” He ran a hand through his hair and ran it down his tired face afterwards.
“Hopefully our body will fight the jetlag soon. Otherwise I won’t be able to meet up for work tomorrow.”
You stopped in track by his words and made sure to block his way from walking forward.
By the way you were looking at him he could tell that you didn’t think it was a good idea. You had the whole weekend off where he barely needed to work and after so many hours on a flight the last thing he could do was to go back and sit in front of his laptop and desk.
“Y/N it’s fine.” He commented lowly to the point of just wanting to give up already but he was still stubborn.
“You say that all the time.” You mumbled and once again blocked his way when he started to walk.
It was a good thing there weren’t many around you in the airport. Some still and waited for their luggage while others stood in line to the bathroom or sitting on the benches trying to kill time.
“Because I mean it...” He shrugged like it was no big deal but the bags under his eyes showed differently.
It didn’t change the fact that he had been sitting on the plane for almost twenty hours just making work. It was a luck the plane had internet otherwise you had no idea how he would be able to kill time.
“It’s not my first time catching a long flight and afterwards coming home for work. I’m trained into it. I will catch up with sleep later.” He pressed both hands on your shoulders and carefully moved you out of his way.
“Next time I will use the bump excuse that’s for sure.” You mumbled under your breath and lifted up the handle of your suitcase to start rolling it again.
Luke shook his head by your words and leaned down to remove your hand from the suitcase and without hesitation pushed it away.
You looked up at him with a quivered eyebrow but being too tired to argue about independence you allowed him to take the suitcase. It wasn’t that heavy after all but could be complicated to roll at times when you had to get through a mob of people.
“You want something before we go out?” He asked and you shook your head instantly, “No? Water? Juice? Cold coffee? Anything. When we get out I don’t think we have the time for it.”
You furrowed your eyebrows not understand what he was speaking about but made a final shake with your head. You weren’t thirsty and it wouldn’t take much to make you want to pee.
“Okay, fine.” He nodded his head and sighed heavily as you walked out of the exit doors.
You almost stopped in track and your eyes widened in surprise but it was soon followed by a hand to cover it up.
Blinking lights were coming from everywhere but at first you were confused to what it was. It wasn’t until you heard Luke’s name being repeated you figured out it was flashing lights from cameras and a swoon of paparazzi was standing in front of you.
You looked up at Luke who was standing with a tight line on his lips.
“Care to explain?” You asked, you could tell that he knew just well enough what was going on but still seemed annoyed about it.
The answer to your question was replied by someone else or most likely the high pitched scream of a voice that stood out from every other sound in the large airport hall.
“Welcome home!” Holly screeched and waved what even you could tell was the Thailand flag instead of the Australian one.
You looked up at Luke again sincerely hoping it was all just a joke. You were too tired for this, you were too tired to even start a conversation with Holly just the sight of her made you want to turn around and take the plane back to Sydney right away.
“I have to.” Luke sighed and let go of his luggage to stop everything in track and prepare for the welcome home hug the paparazzi was desperately waiting for.
You wanted to just yell at him right away that he didn’t but you just shook your head in disbelief and crossed your arms. There was no way you would be joining this so instead you planted your ass on the suitcase and watched from the side.
“Long time no see, honey.” Luke greeted and wrapped his arms around Holly.
You were so sure your eyes would be ready to fall out because that was how many blinking lights there were. You knew it was all set up because it wouldn’t catch such attention unless the word had been spread.
“How are things going with the two of you?” An interviewer asked, clearly desperate to get his job done.
“I’d say pretty great.” Holly smiled and looked up at Luke just to get confirmation and he did with a nod.
“Things are definitely going forward.” He agreed and kept the arm around her.
“What about your small trip to Sydney Luke? What separated you apart?”
You almost wanted to roll your eyes by how much they wanted to dig into it. Nobody wanted to read about them in the magazines anyways.
“Well to make sure I full filled my job and Holly also got a bit of time with herself I decided to bring along my assistant Y/N instead. She’s always there for me when I need it and I thought she might need a bit of a break during her pregnancy.”
By the mention of you he looked over his shoulder and sent you a glance. You weren’t sure how to analyze it to be honest you had no idea how to read his face.
Attention was drawn towards you but the questions seemed faint in your ears. They were asking about the father, asking how things were going but to be honest the only thing you could feel was a bit of pain in your stomach.
“No questions will be answered about her. For the safe of her privacy.” Luke was quick to say and nodded for you to follow him and Holly.
You looked at him confused but decided to go for it anyways. You had no idea what he had in mind maybe this was just a small entrance welcome thing between them just to show that they weren’t a completely dead couple.
It had been a blessing the last couple of days.
Not having to witness the two of them and it was obvious Luke was starting to grow annoyed with her. He didn’t have the same tolerance he had before and it could take nothing to make him irritated and rejecting.
But now it was like everything had been pushed away and forgotten.
He wrapped his arm closer around her and walked through the paparazzi, a hand in front of his face just to block it out a little bit.
You shrugged off the weird feeling of being completely crowded and followed them behind. You weren’t informed that Holly was going to pick you up you had assumed it would be Patrick as per usual.
What they wouldn’t do for the PR stunts. To be honest you were questioning both your daughter’s life and your own by the thought of having Holly behind the steering wheel.
“So are you ready?” Holly asked but for once Luke looked confused and didn’t understand what she was talking about.
“Ready for what?” He asked back and quivered an eyebrow.
“Come on Luke don’t be silly.” She laughed quietly but you could tell that she was getting tense because he didn’t understand what was going on. People were still standing around you so it wasn’t like they couldn’t hear their conversation.
They were trying to speak quiet but it was obvious ears were everywhere.
“You know what I’m talking about.” She explained with a fake smile and moved closer to his face, “The deal we made with Peter, remember?”
She was speaking as if he was supposed to understand what was going on but he still had a blank face as expression. He sincerely tried to understand what she was talking about but he was clueless.
“Holly I’m not catching up.” He stopped in track and moved his back to let it face the paparazzi instead.
Unaware of what was going on you nearly knocked yourself into his back but stopped in track to hear what was going on. So much for the lack of sleep because you didn’t understand what was going on around you.
“For god sake Luke! Peter explained that we needed to go out on a date today when you got home because we were ‘apparently’ starting to die out and the news needed some good old fresh stories about us!”
“Out?” Luke had to double check just to make sure what she was talking about, “You want us to go out now?”
He clearly wasn’t up for the idea at all. He was repeatedly trying to open his eyes fully but the puff in them seemed to fight against him. He didn’t want to sound rude because of the people around you but he was having a hard time.
“Yes, we have to!” Holly almost exclaimed but lowered her voice, “Peter told us to! That’s the reason why I came along in the first place besides seeing your pretty face.”
Luke sighed heavily but wasn’t up for the argument. The last couple of months he was taught that he could pick his own fights. This wouldn’t be worth one.
“Is it okay with you?” He asked but you almost wanted to reverse the question.
“Yeah that’s fine...” You shrugged not really feeling like your opinion mattered anyways.
“I’ll appreciate if you just drive me home please and thank you.”
“Oh, we can’t do that.” Holly was quick to reply and you lifted your eyebrows.
“I took the car that my mother gave me for Christmas.” Holly looked up at Luke, “It only has two seats so I can only take you with me.”
Well that was enough to ruin your night even more. At first you believed she only said no because she didn’t want you to tag along at all because of the paparazzi but for once she had a decent apology.
“I’ll pay you a cab.” Luke quickly came up with an idea but you weren’t much for it.
“Yeah I think I will just take the subway. Will make things a whole lot easier.” You shrugged not trying to seem bitter or tired but it was all coming onto you at once.
Luke could tell that you weren’t up for it and he looked over at Holly with a questionable face. He didn’t say anything you could tell he was clearly confused and had no idea how to solve it.
“I don’t want you to go home on your own.” He said more quietly to you than Holly.
“It’s okay. Enjoy your date.” You shook your head and grabbed the handle of your suitcase, “I’ll see you later if I haven’t fallen asleep in the sub.”
He almost wanted to roll his eyes by your attitude but he had learned when you were like this there was no time to argue. You wouldn’t get anywhere with it and in the end it would be completely pointless.
“Call me when you get home.” Luke explained and wrapped his jacket closer to his body after grabbing Holly’s hand to be lead outside.
You nodded your head but didn’t say anything but stared at him turn around. The mob of paparazzi followed quickly outside the door as Holly and Luke left the airport to get to wherever she had planned they would be eating.
A heavy sigh came from your lips because of the sudden silence. Now it was only people’s voices around you and a bit of peace hit you.
Until you felt a weird feeling in your stomach.
It had been coming and going for the day but now it was starting to become worse. You weren’t sure of what it was at first you believed it was only because you had been eating too much but you were starting to question the theory.
Trying to shrug it off you shook your head in disbelief and started to move forward.
Luckily enough there was a get through to the subway if you just walked to the other end of the hall. That way you wouldn’t need to go out and walk in the weather that could never be compared to Sydney.
But that was when you stopped again. The pain grew worse by each time you were becoming rather worried.
It didn’t last for long but it felt like a minute each time. You weren’t sure what was going on but the redness on your cheeks showed your discomfort already.
You bit down on your lip unsure of how to handle it. You were so stubborn you didn’t want to but your hand came before your mind as you were dialing his number quickly on the phone.
“Luke, something is feeling wrong.”
“Yes, something is.”
Looking over your shoulder confused you saw as he was standing right behind you. He was panting a bit spoiling he had been running to get to you, and you moved your phone away from your ear.
“Leaving you now would be the stupidest choice of mine. I told Holly to drive home and quit the date. I think the only thing we will do is to get a cab, drive home together and make sure we’re both as safe as possible.”
His words were kind and came from the heart but they were faintly heard in your mind.
A whine came from your lips and you hovered over your knees to try block it all out.
Luke’s eyes widened in surprise and he quickly placed a hand on your back wanting to know what was going on. It was like his mood changed 180 degrees and he finally understood why you had called him.
“I thought you called to scold at me for the wrong decisions.” He exclaimed and grabbed your hand to lead you to the side by the benches.
“What’s going on?”
“It hurts.” You whimpered and tried to shrug it off. It was clenching and tensing it was hard to describe but it sure was an unfamiliar feeling.
His face literally showed the word ‘again’ and he bit down on his lip as he looked around for any source of help.
“Come with me.” He explained and without doubt you followed him.
At first you had no idea where you were going because it was a part of the airport you hadn’t been at before. It wasn’t until the fancy cirscumstances changed you knew it was the department of business travelers and such.
He was very gentle with helping you sit down on the couch and within seconds he got someone to call over the speakers for a doctor, midwife or anything close to help.
You were amazed how calm he was behaving because at other times he would freak out more than you did.
But there was nothing. It didn’t feel like he didn’t care because you could tell he did he just tried his utter best to show that he was there to calm you down and everything was going to be alright in the end.
“I was called to help.” A voice said as the door opened and Luke stopped in track from standing in front of the water machine.
“Thank you so much for showing up on such short notice.” Luke quickly said and gave you the ice water hoping it would help just a little bit.
“My flight to Transylvania was cancelled so I had some spare time of mine. My name is Andreea and I have a Bachelor’s degree in midwifery, nursing and others in the health-related field.”
You shook your hand in hers and watched her grab a chair and roll it over to sit in front of you on the couch.
“So tell me, what’s going on?” She instructed and made you lie down so she could get a feel of what was happening inside.
“Oh what a kicker.” She was quick to comment after having a feel, “They are active that’s for sure.”
“Yea she loves kicking me.” You agreed and watched as Luke made you lift your upper body so he could take a seat next to you.
Your head fell back onto his lap and you looked up at him to see his eyes fixed on your stomach. He was desperate to wait for an answer.
“Where’s the pain? Is it here, or are we talking about downhill.” She asked and as she did poked you a few places just to get a reaction.
“It’s like right here.” You explained and pointed down at your stomach just to illustrate what was going on.
“It kind of hurts but then it goes away after thirty seconds. It’s not much it happens but now it’s really starting to hurt and I don’t understand if it’s prelabour or what so ever.”
“Do you have your journal with you?” Andreea asked and watched as Luke leaned over to grab your bag, “I assume you do since you’re at the airport and seem pretty close to not being allowed to fly.”
“It’s right here.” Luke explained and gave it to her.
Andreea grabbed the papers and made a scan through it. She wasn’t doing much with her expression and she wasn’t reacting with a furrowed eyebrow so you assumed everything was as it should be.
“Okay seem from where the pain is and how far you are in the pregnancy I’m gonna tell you that the pain your feeling isn’t prelabour and there’s nothing to worry about.”
“But what is it then?” You asked and bit down on your lip a little bit nervous.
“It’s nothing major...” Andreea shook her head and gave back the papers, “It’s what we call Braxton Hicks. It’s when the the muscles of your womb tightens and you can actually feel it when it happens.”
“Oh my god I thought she was going into labour.” Luke more likely whispered to himself but you both heard right away.
“It’s not, but it’s something that makes her prepared for it.” Andreea nodded her head and stood up from her chair.
“But how can I tell the difference?” You questioned and sat up on the couch to stand up.
“Well with labour contractions everything is heightened. It’s more painful, it’s more frequent and it’s more regular. They are noticeably, and increasingly, longer.” She explained as she pulled her jacket over her shoulder and wrapped her scarf around her neck.”
“I think it’s a mom thing. You will know when it comes.” She said the last sentence with a wink and leaned over to shake both your hands.
“Thanks for showing up without any notice. It’s people like you who should be appreciated in this world.” Luke said sincerely and she nodded her head.
“And it’s fathers like you that deserves to be seen instead of the ones leaving their children.”
Your breath hitched in your throat by her words as she waved a final goodbye and walked out of the door.
You stood frozen not really knowing what to do or what to say because it was for one moment that you felt a little bit scared of everything. How would you be so sure that you would feel when it would come up?
“I don’t think I can do it.”
Luke looked up by your words pretty confused by the thing Andreea had said but it was completely pushed back by you.
“Wait what?” He asked just to get you to repeat the words.
“I don’t think I can do it Luke.” You shook your head in and held your hand in front of your mouth.
“I don’t think I can grasp the title of becoming a mother.”
He sighed heavily by your words and leaned forward to get you on the couch.
This wasn’t the first time and far from it. He knew that deep down you were still panicking, there was still something that held you back even though you were looking forward more to this than ever.
“Come here.” He explained and sat down.
You sighed heavily as well and took a seat next to him. He wrapped his arm around you and let your legs be over his lap so you could get as close to him as possible.
“No one says that you will become a mom in just one day. Some has the title from when they are born, some learn with age some learn with realization. Maybe it won’t be until she is in your arms that you will realize but I can promise you one thing.”
You looked up at him by his words and at the same time he looked down at you.
“You will know when you become a mother because it’s right inside of you. And I know for sure that you will grasp every part of it you possibly can to achieve the best for your daughter.”
You smiled softly by his words and at the same time looked out of the windows that showed airplanes ready for takeoff.
“Our daughter.” He said more quietly and leaned his head on the top of yours as an airplane was ready to start and be like a shooting star in the night sky.

It's You
A/N this is part two but part one is here
MASTERLIST
Pairings: Henry Cavill x reader
Word count: 1,638
Warnings: Smut also this is my first time writing smut so ahhh
Summary: You and Henry are finally single do you have a shot?
Tumblr media
From the outside, this house looks lavish. It has been built with wood covered in render and has white pine wooden decorations. Tall, squared windows allow enough light to enter the home and have been added to the house in a mostly asymmetric way. The Autumn breeze had scooped a last lake of leaves around the grand front door. Still scooped in Henry’s arms, you nuzzled closer to protect you from the sharp air. As you were carried down the small concrete path, Henry reluctantly let your small frame back on the ground to retrieve a clump of assorted keys.
From the inside, the vast entryway was silent before a bounding bear attacked your shaking knees. Grinning widely, you bent down to pat his fluffy belly. Behind you, Henry admired the new sight before him as he slowly removed a jet black leather jacket. Placing the jacket on the coat hooks to his right, Henry drop his keys on the sideboard. The sudden clink made you jump to stand up straight much to Henry’s disappointment. Swiftly, moving to greet his pal, Henry amused the energetic Akita with hasty cuddles.
“Now Kal, I need to borrow your friend and I’ll get her back to you later” Henry cooed to the bear as he guided him into the living room. Now residing behind Henry, you started to fumble with the hem of your skater skirt. Suddenly panicking, you remembered how press follow you everywhere as well as Henry which meant they could be outside now. Swinging around to face the door, your soft trembling turned into shaking.
Pulling you out of thought, Henry snaked his arms around you from behind and brought his mouth teasingly to your ear. The warm breath sent shivers to your core. You feel safe yet completely exposed at the same time. Bitting your lip gently, your body falls into the deep musk of the burly man. All insecurities flow out of your body like a wave of relief.
“Henry, I… I think I’ve.. urm” your fear of relationships after your ex had only worsened but you needed this. He could tell you had reservations about commencing a relationship more than friends as it could risk all you’d built together. Relinquishing you from his grasp, Henry swirled you around like an eloquent ice skater.
“We can talk and I’ll fix you some breakfast or coffee,” Henry spoke softly while lifting your chin. Fixating on his warm honey eyes, you tried to nod but his warm hand restricted the movement of your chin. He chuckled softly before heading across the vast hallway to a neatly kept kitchen. Being the perfect house guest, you slipped off your dainty ballerina pumps. Carefully and cautiously, you feet followed the ghost of henry’s movements. Along the way you smiled as you spotted his discarded timberland boots.
Allured by the sweet sent of freshly ground coffee, you realised that he must have anticipated that you’d agree to come home with him. He knew how your mind worked and it drove you crazy. Like a mouse you creeped up behind the work of god. Unfortunately, you were caught by a smirking Henry rest beside two freshly made coffees. Mercilessly, the muscular adonis ravished your neck with sweet pecks.
“I need to sa- mmmm” melting into the sensual act, your words were swapped with delightful whimpers. The sweet noise halted as Henry loomed over your clavicle; gracefully, his eager hand was stroking small circles to the small of your back.
“I think that I have feelings for you… urm like not friends…like more int-“ pausing when the graze of Henry’s voluptuous lips were just within reach, your mind was racing- burning like the soft spot that sat between you legs.
“Think or know?” His husky tone sparked an exquisite roaring flame in the depths of your womb. To build up your courage, you pressed your foreheads together like a mating lioness.
“I know… and I need you,” Henry growls in at your answer like a prima mate. Desperately, the husky animal ambushed your pillow lips as your bodies yearn for each other. You hum as his hands pull your body to cling to him. Gasping softly as he sucks on your bottom lip, you moth gapes open allowing a perfect passage for Henry’s wandering tongue. God why did you wait so long? His talented lips steal dirty whimper which distracts your senses from the wandering hand which slips beneath your knitted top. Carefully, exploring the roundness of your perky breasts, Henry growled at meeting your erect nipples. His member grew painful hard. You’d both waited a long time.
“Bed!” You mewled. Of which he hastily complied as he rushed you up the hard oak staircase. With each step of the stairs, you felt the overwhelming bulge of Henry’s desire. Colliding with the closed door, your kissed grew desperate as Henry forcefully broke open the door. This man. The hard tent in his pants jerked into your clothed core. Frantically, Henry threw you on to the quilted four-post bed. When you get back to this moment again, your sure he’ll utilise all four posts. Sensually, Henry hovers over your lower half as he slips down the suede skater skirt. You breath hitches as his warm breath attacks your exposed upper thighs.
Trailing up to your apex, Henry litters you with butterfly kisses while using his soft claws to kneed your breasts. Impatient and aroused, you discard your knitted top and comfy bra. Grinning mischievously, Henry parts your soaked panties and dips the tip of his tongue into the river of arousal between your lower lips. While you moan for him, he plunged deeper to draw out his name from your lips.
Momentarily, Henry removes his experienced tongue to free your tilt from the constraints of your soaking knickers. Rip. The dark lace broke under the needy hands of the roused man but it didn't bother you in the slightest. You needed to replace the overwhelming pleasure that was once captivating your entrance. Henry watched greedily as you slipped you hand down to the dripping folds and dipped your fingers into the searing heat. A growl released as your whimpering grew stronger with self-pleasure but it was nothing compared to the sensation Henry made you feel. Sinking his own fingers into your arousal, Henry added much-needed friction to your aching mound.
“Ahhhh Hennnnry just mmhmm make love to me” you desperately cried out. Harshly, Henry whipped your fingers from your vagina. If anyone would make you come undone then it would be him and only him. Vigorously, the thick fingers were snapping in and out of the pool of arousal making you edge closer to your apex. Determined and ravenous, Henry continued to piston his digits as he drew himself up the bed to capture your face in a hungry attack. You used this new position to drift your hand over his clothed cock. Gasping slightly, Henry allowed you access to delve into his perfect mouth. Smirking softly, you revelled in the sweet taste of your core which had invaded Henry's mouth. Curling inside you, the skilled fingers knocked you off the edge.
“I'm...” you tried to communicate but your orgasm ripped through you like a hurricane which Henry took advantage of as he's tongue won dominance in your mouth. Drawing out your release, Henry slowed his relentless fingers as your warm juices trickled down his thick fingers. Pulling away slowly, lips barely touching, Henry looked down to admire the mess you'd created because of him. Gently, his digits were removed from your swollen mound and placed in his mouth to taste his triumph. You took this moment to plan you strategy for attack.
“So sweet and hot, imagine that all over my length. I'm going to stuff you so full you can feel me through next week. You-” even though Henry's words made your core tingle in the second run of excitement, you cut him off.
“Make love to me” Henry did not need to be told again. Stripping to show all, Henry made sharp and efficient work of discarding every article of clothing left on the two of you. He leaned in and pressed his pillow lips against yours as he shifted his hands to your back; guiding you under his godly frame, Henry clutched your body against his. With urgency, the Adonis drove his tongue between your lips and plunged it into your mouth which earned a soft moan from your occupied mouth. A playful glint arose from your eye as your wandering hand circulated his pulsing member.
A small gasp rendered from your lips due to the hunger emitted from Henry's attack on your lips. You emulated this with light pressure and slow(ish) strokes of his length. Slowly building speed, you heard a low growl emulating from Henry. Drifting, Henry's hands resume their position to massage your breasts as his hips buck into your faster strokes. Breaking away for air, Henry rested his head at your neck leaving small sensual nips in his wake.
“I need to feel your walls around me, ” his breathy growl tickles your ear in delight. As you already use the pill, you moved immediately to place yourself in a prime position. Removing your hand, Henry guided his extremely hard length to tease you slick entrance. Bucking your hips, you couldn't handle the overwhelming sensation.
“Are you sure?” Henry questioned again as he stared deeply into you eyes. His honey orbs melted your heart. Placing you hands on his cheeks, you pushed a delicious kiss onto his plump lips.
“Yes, ” Pulling away, you looked deep into the eyes of each other as Henry dipped his penis into the pool of pleasure. Both moaning simultaneously, you moved like a finely tuned orchestra- in perfect harmony with one another. This was heaven.

You call me up It's like a broken record Saying that your heart hurts That you'll never get over him getting over you And you end up crying And I end up lying 'Cause I'm just a sucker for anything that you do
You couldn’t stop playing the video. Ever since it was sent you from a random number, you couldn’t stop crying. The video was barely ten seconds long, but it was ten seconds that broke your heart. There your boyfriend was, clear as day, kissing a girl that wasn’t you.
It isn’t long before you heard the front door open and slam behind someone, reminding you of who you told to come over. Luke, your best friend since you guys met in the sandpit at six years old. When he accidentally pushed you in, so you kicked him in the nuts. You guys had been inseparable ever since.
Luke was your best friend, and you were his. You guys had been through everything together. When he first learned guitar, when you did gymnastics, when he joined a band, when you guys first went to high school, and now, your first heartbreak.
“y/n?” He calls from downstairs, looking around the dark room. He had learned from a young age to just come into your house without knocking, your house was his second home after all.
Of course, you do have a few female friends that you could have called but none of them knew you as well as Luke did and you knew Luke would be there with you through everything. He would understand. He would comfort you better than any girl ever could. You walked down the stairs, trying to keep your sobs in but once you caught eyes with Luke, the tears started to fall.
“Luke,” You let out, looking at the boy barely keeping yourself together.
“y/n/n, what’s wrong?” Luke questions, eyes wracking over your defeated posture before looking up at your puffy red eyes. It was clear you had been crying, but why?
“He- he-,” You cut yourself short, letting back a choked sob as you land at the bottom of the stairs, Luke walking closer to you, his face looking at you with concern, “Luke he was with another girl, he cheated-”
Mind wracking back over the video, you broke down into tears, falling into Luke’s now open arms. Suddenly, once you're in the arms of your best friend all of your walls come crashing down and you start to cry louder, letting out every emotion you felt that night. The sadness, betrayal, and overall heartbreak.
Luke holds the back of your head soothingly as you cry into his chest, playing softly with the hair on your head. By this point, he is supporting all of your weight but he doesn’t mind as he lifts you over to the couch, allowing you to continue crying in a more comfortable position than the awkward standing position you were in moments before.
Whilst Luke was sad hearing you cry, he was overcome with anger.  The fact that the scum would cheat, on you of all people. You were amazing, perfect even, so why would someone ever give away the chance of being with you? He knew he wouldn’t. Luke knew how much you loved and cared for the boy, Jack, and to see him cheat on you, he couldn’t help but be furious.
If he was being honest, the thing he wanted more than anything right now was to hook him right in the face. Punch him right where he stood, busting open his face so that no other girl would ever want to kiss him again. It’s what he deserves. Luke knew he was probably being a bit overprotective, but that didn’t matter to him, what mattered was that you were okay right now.
The last thing you needed in your state of fragility was Luke leaving you by yourself to set into the dickhead. Oh no, that could be done another time when you weren’t crying. What you truly needed right now was his comfort, so that’s what he gave you. He held you close, not even saying anything but hugging you closely, silently reminding you that he was here for you and always would be as you softly lulled into a sleep.
And when then phone call finally ends You say "Thanks for being a friend" And I'm going in circles again and again
I dedicate this song to you The one who never sees the truth That I can take away you hurt Heartbreak girl Hold you tight straight through the daylight I'm right here, when you gonna realise That I'm your cure? Heartbreak girl
Walking down the hall, Luke’s eyes catch onto you. Even though he’s been with you all weekend, comforting you after the video you saw on Friday, just looking at you is a sad reminder of how you are doing. A frown has fallen onto your face whilst you look over at something. Following your gaze, Luke finds him, Jack, with his arm wrapped around the girl in the video.
He wants to punch that stupid smirk off Jack’s face, then they’ll see who’s truly laughing. When Luke’s eyes drift back over to you, he feels his stomach dropping slightly. The look in your gaze makes you look broken, eyes conveying a sense of vulnerability that Luke didn’t think was possible. Maybe it’s just because Luke knows you better and knows how to read you better than everyone else, but he notices all of the changes in you. He sees how your eyes lacked the sparkle they usually had, your usual smile not present, even your outfit seemed a little dull. Nonetheless, you’re still gorgeous, Luke thinks so, but you look different; less lively.
All of this heartbreak just because of a stupid boy. One stupid hard-headed jock that doesn’t know how to truly value the important things in his life. The stupid jock that didn’t know how much you were truly worth.
Luke knows he could treat you so much better if you just gave him the chance to. If you looked his way instead of Jack’s. He would hold you close and never let you go, let you know just how much you meant to him and those truly important around you. He would watch you like the only person in the world because you were the only one that mattered.
He doesn’t even realize he was staring at you until he hears a cough sound from behind him as Reggie puts an arm over his shoulder, smirking, “You’re staring, pal.”
Luke, who’s eyes briefly glanced over towards Reggie when the bassist spoke, glanced back at you quickly, sighing lightly in relief when he realizes you didn’t notice him staring at you. He shrugs half-heartedly, not noticing the knowing look that Reggie gives him as he speaks, “I can’t, Reg. I’m not supposed to like her like this, she’s my best friend.”
“Best friend or not, I see the way you look at her, everyone does but her,” Reggie says before patting his friend on the back.
“She still likes him Reg, and I’ve known her since we were six. She’s been in so many relationships yet she fell for the stupid jock,” Luke says, shaking his head as his fists clench at his sides. He doesn’t realize but his face contorts into anger, making Reggie smirk, “she deserves so much better. She deserves someone who’s going to appreciate her. Someone who will show her how much she means to them-”
“Someone like you?” Reggie asks, making Luke glance at him with an annoyed expression, huffing. Reggie shrugs his shoulders, “Just saying man if anyone knows y/n it’s you. You just gotta be there for her and she’ll realize how much you mean to her. I mean, everyone thinks you guys are meant for each other, soon she’ll see that too.”
I bite my tongue But I wanna scream out You could be with me now But I end up telling you what you wanna hear But you're not ready And it's so frustrating He treats you so bad and I'm so good to you, it's not fair
And when the phone call finally ends You say "I'll call you tomorrow at 10" And I'm stuck in the friendzone again and again
Luke is frustrated. It has been two weeks since his conversation with Reggie, and the hope Reggie had given him for pursuing a relationship was surely fizzling out. Reggie was wrong, that’s what Luke thought anyway. Not only had you not realized how much Luke was bending his back for you, going out of his way to comfort you, being there for you 24/7, you had been so utterly stupid. Jack had given you the most insincere apology known to man, and you were meeting up with him for a date.
It had been forty-seven minutes since you had left, not that Luke was counting or anything and he still hadn’t heard a word from you. No text, no call, nothing. Jack was probably taking up all of your attention with his boring jock stories or his lame jokes. He probably didn’t even compliment you when you arrived and that was practically criminal.
You had been all dressed up when you left, not that Jack would have even noticed, but Luke did. He noticed the way the outfit you wore looked perfect on you, complimenting everything about you and most importantly, how confident you felt in it. You deserved more than a boy that wouldn’t even tell you that you were pretty, Luke knew that, he just wished you did too.
He paces around his room, feet aggressively hitting the ground. He wanted to punch something, to let out all of the anger and frustration that was itching, begging to be released. Yet, his anger was cut short when he heard his phone start to ring.
“Hello?”
“Lu?” Your voice sounded through his phone, ringing in his ears.
“Y/n?” Luke said in confusion, eyes glancing up at the time, “Aren’t you supposed to be on your date?”
You hesitate to answer, a complete silence hanging in the air until your light sniffles sound through the phone, “He didn’t show, Lu. M-My mom dropped me off, I don’t have my car. Can you come pick me up?”
“I’ll be there in 10, stay there y/n/n.”
Luke ran out of the house.
I dedicate this song to you The one who never sees the truth That I can take away you hurt Heartbreak girl Hold you tight straight through the daylight I'm right here, when you gonna realise That I'm your cure? Heartbreak girl
I know someday it's gonna happen And you'll finally forget the day you met him Sometimes I'm so close to confession I gotta get it through your head That you belong with me instead
Luke couldn’t help but smile at you, hazel eyes meeting your e/c eyes as he strung his guitar expertly. It wasn’t an uncommon occurrence for you to be at band practices, actually, you were at a large amount of them. It was normal for you to watch the band, well that’s what you said you were doing, but you were only really looking at Luke.
You didn’t play any musical instruments properly, but you could play a little guitar from what Luke had taught you. You remembered his teaching you, arms wrapped around you, hands guiding your fingers onto the different frets, playing different cords. He didn’t give up when you messed up, and instead, he smiles and shows you again, your back flushed against his chest.
It was no secret that you always enjoyed watching their band practice and perform, but it was different this time because they had gotten you to stop thinking about Jack. This was the first day that you didn’t feel miserable and instead felt happy in their presence. It was the first day that your gleaming smile returned, one that all members of the band had missed.
Soon enough, they were finished, congratulating each other on how well they played with large smiles.
“We’re gonna sound great at the rally!” Reggie says, flipping his bass down to his side so he didn’t have to hold it as he gave Luke a high five before turning to Alex, all of them breathing heavily with huge smiles.
“Of course, we’re still finishing with the other song, right?” Alex asked, eyes looking over at Luke for approval. He nodded his head, making you look at them in confusion.
“What other song?”
Luke glanced over to you, walking closer before kneeling beside you, guitar still in his hand, smirking “Can’t tell you, it’s a surprise.”
You groaned lightly, flinging your head back before giving the boy your puppy eyes, “Please? I won’t tell.”
He laughed lightly, shaking his head at you. Over the years, he had often been the victim to your puppy eyes, and whilst he often found them irresistible, he knew he couldn’t tell you this secret. He playfully slapped you on the arm, “Get those puppy eyes away, they’re not gonna work today.”
“Fine,” you grumbled, standing up before you stood up alongside Luke, who slung an arm over your shoulder. You guys shared a look, almost communicating through your eyes, something that you guys had gotten freakishly good at since you were kids.
“So, who wants to go grab a smoothie?” Luke said, turning his attention towards the rest of the band as you jumped on his back, ready to leave practice for smoothies.
I dedicate this song to you The one who never sees the truth That I can take away you hurt Heartbreak girl Hold you tight straight through the daylight I'm right here, when you gonna realise That I'm your cure Heartbreak girl
Soon enough, the rally at school came and the students surround the stage that the band was playing on. You stood at the back, proudly watching them as they played. Their most recent song blasts through the halls, exciting the students more than you had seen for the previous people on stage, even Dirty Candy. Sweat drips off of them, lights blazing down on them with intensity.
Eyes looking at Luke, you see him jump around when he sings and it brings a smile to your face. You knew this was their surprise song, the song that they were ending with because it was an unfamiliar tune, but one that Luke was pouring every feeling into as he sang the lyrics.
Suddenly, he’s no longer playing his guitar and it’s hanging on the strap by his side, mic detached from the stand and he’s making his way off of the stage and running through the crowd. You’re astonished, not only because Luke is running off stage, but that it somehow isn’t affecting his vocals.
Everyone seems to knowingly make a path for him to run through, almost as if they know where he is going to. Your eyes stay on him as he comes through the crowd, slowing down to a walk as he begins to sing again,
“I dedicate this song to you The one who never sees the truth That I can take away you hurt Heartbreak girl
Hold you tight straight through the daylight I'm right here, when you gonna realise That I'm your cure? Heartbreak girl.”
His eyes meet yours when he is standing barely feet away from you. His hair is messed up, dripping with sweat but you barely notice. When he stops singing, he lifts the mic away from his face and holds it down away from both of your faces so that it can’t pick up what you’re saying.
People start to talk between themselves, all of them staring at you and Luke standing barely a foot apart, eyes gazing into one another but you don’t notice because you’re too busy looking at Luke. You’re speechless, heart racing faster than you thought humanly possible, with lips slightly apart before he whispers to you, “This is for you, my heartbreak girl.”
Then, his free hand makes its way up and cups your cheek, and his lips connect with yours.

Flirting in Walmart
a/n: definitely going to be writing some fetus 5sos, BUT, this video makes me feel some type of way 😌
description: being the opening act for 5sos is fun, but not when they wake you up at 12:30 to go into walmart. [PT 2]
Tumblr media
“Pst, [Y/N].”
Someone rocked your shoulder, your body- a snoring lump- being knocked around in effect. You groaned at the movement, toes curling because your legs stretched.
“[Y/N], wake up,” the voice whispered again, warm, minty breath fanning across your face.
“What,” it came as a statement, the question mark lazily slung off from your short tone.
“Do you wanna come into Walmart with us?” Calum’s hand stayed on your shoulder, fingers pressing into your skin, exposed by the crooked t-shirt.
You shivered, brushing him off of you, “Why?”
Your eyes slowly opened, noticing the flicked on lights of the tour bus, the blackout curtain to your bunk hanging over Calum. His face was so close to yours, your heart skipped a beat.
“Ash and I want better blankets, Michael wants dog treats, and I know you said earlier that you wanted a heated blanket and lipgloss,” his eyes dipped back into his head when he listed your list from that day.
You were flattered he remembered your complaints from earlier in the day. And, even though your head was whining, your feet aching, and your joints moaning from each movement, you went to sit up.
Calum guarded your head with his left hand, afraid your sleepy state would hit it off the top bunk. “We’ll be outside. Take your time.”
You lazily pulled on the fuzzy sucks abandoned at the bottom of your bunk, feet colliding with your moccasins once you shuffled to the front area of the bus. Though your skin was covered in goosebumps, you stepped down from the bus in just your sweatpants and a t-shirt, no bra protecting you from the chill.
“Ready?” Michael cheerily remarked, Moose on a lease in front of him.
You nodded, falling in step with Ash and Calum towering on either side of you. “Can you take ‘em inside?”
Michael shrugged, “Its 12 AM; I dont think it matters.”
You managed a sleepy laugh, taking in a deep breath. As the chilly air filled your lungs, your teeth chattered haphazardly in your mouth.
“Why didn’t you grab a coat?” Ash laughed.
You shrugged, the lights of the store making your eyes squint as you came closer to the entrance. “Don’t know, I’m half asleep.”
Ash chuckled again before catching up with Michael, who called the older man up to him to look over the clearance just inside the entrance. Your arms collided with fuzzy material, the chill going slightly away.
“Oh, thank you,” you slipped your hands through Calum’s hoodie, allowing for your cold to go completely away.
“Welcome.” He stopped at an intersection of aisles, causing you to stop, too. “Wanna come with me?”
“Cosmetics is right here, lets go there first.”
You lead the way down the aisle, noticing Andy filming Michael and Ash at the entrance. Calum followed you down the makeup aisles, confused but intrigued by the products.
You squatted to look at the NYX lipgloss’ and Calum busied himself with an eyeshadow pallet.
“This would look really pretty on you,” he spoke, placing the pallet down in front of you.
You plucked a shimmery pink from the display rack and stood back to his level. “You, too.”
“You think?” He blushed: Your face didn’t have the energy to rush blood to your face, luckily.
“Yeah, Ive always thought you would look really hot on stage with eyeshadow,” you shrugged, eyes dancing over the pallet.
Calum’s eyebrows perked up, “Oh? Hot?”
“C’mon, you know I think youre hot.” You deadpanned directly into his eyes. “Blankets,” you walked away, Calum following like a lost puppy because of the compliment.
You stopped at the blanket aisle, feeling Calum pause just behind your shoulder, his chest nearly pressed up against you. You skimmed down the aisle, unsure of which heated blanket to buy until you saw the brand you had discusssed with your mom.
“You get one?” You turned to the older man, noticing he had strayed away as you were looking.
“Uh, yes, this fuzzy one would suit me.”
It was stitched with a giant Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven.
You snorted, stuffing your empty hand into his pocket. “Still hot.”
Calum grinned down at you, backing out of the aisle as you walked towards him. “Did you wanna look at books, too?”
“Yeah, I did,” you gaped up at him, unaware he actually listened to you that much.
You finished the last book you brought on tour yesterday, discussed it with Sierra, and exchanged recommendations in the dressing room. He simply overheard you, hadn’t even been involved in the conversation.
It was your turn to look lost, following with wide eyes. Calum stepped into the aisle, beginning to gaze at different books. He plucked through a coloring book while you were reading the backs of some novels. You had two picked out when he got bored and leaned against the shelf in front of you. His arm was slung up on the top shelf, face nuzzled into his elbow, watching you with adoring eyes.
“May I help you?” You quipped, still looking at a book.
You met his eyes and he grinned, “Just admiring the view.”
You were more awake now and your body allowed the pink tint to criss cross to the tips of your ears. “Hm.”
After picking up three more books, you walked alongside one another to the next aisle. It was simply rolls of fabric, but Calum didn’t care. Or, apparently, didn’t notice.
“Well, these blankets are cheaper,” he mumbled to himself, but you still heard him.
“Cal, no-“
“I’m getting one of these instead.” He grabbed the roll of black fabric and walked away. He knocked down a roll of one designed with plaid, but didn’t seem to, again, notice.
You sighed, picking it up and putting it back. You turned to follow him again, facing both Calum and Andy, with a camera. You grinned, waving at the device.
“Wanna say something, [Y/N]?” He moved closer to you, focusing the lens on your face.
“Hi, mom!” You giggled, waving again. Your eyes flickered from the camera to Calum, who was staring at you again. He smiled shyly, but grinned when he noticed you were meeting his eyes.
You took a deep breath, clenched your jaw. The next few minutes were a blur as Ashton pointed out to Calum that the blankets were rolls of fabric. Then, checking out, trudging back to the bus, sitting yourself down on the couch. You took everything from the bags, removed the packaging and tossed the trash into the bag Ashton held out to you. You hooked up the heating blanket, and excitedly walked/ran/skipped/danced to your bunk.
You bent at the waist, leaning the top half of your body into the bunk in order to plug it in. You stood back up, clapping your hands together at the new addition to your life. You bent down again to put your books into the drawer beneath your bunk.
When you, again, stood up, you turned and your eyes collided with Calum, who was on the couch, halfway through unraveling his pack of socks, but paused because he was distracted. His eyes were focused on the middle of your body, the air where your ass had just been. You cleared your throat, hip popped out.
You crossed your arms, shuffling into the living area. Ashton muttered a goodnight to both of you, shutting the door separating the bunking area from where you were. The lights were dimmed, the only one on being a lamp on the table next to Calum.
He didn’t meet your eyes, busying himself with his socks as he rolled each pair into each other. You sat down across from him, on the other couch.
“What’re we doing?” You sighed, fingers fumbling with the loose sleeves of his hoodie.
“Hm?” No eye contact.
“Cal,” you sternly replied. He still wasn’t giving you his beautiful brown eyes, “Calum.”
There. He frowned, face red and eyebrows raised. “What?”
“What’re we doing?” You ran your hands down your thighs, clamminess seeping through your pores. “What?”
“i dont know,” he shrugged, scared of the consequences by saying he could fall in love with you.
“Dancing around each other. That’s what. But why? Youre so confusing. I compliment you, flirt with you. But, you just flirt back and walk away. Are you playing with me? You dont want to play with me. I’m a Taylor Swift, bitch, ill write a song about you- nah, actually, you could call me love, stare at my ass again, and I’ll write a motherfucking album, Calum. I genuinely, honestly, like you. I want to, like, be with you, Cal. If you want to, ya know? Like cuddle and shit and like, dance with you at the clubs like Sierra and Luke do. I dont know, I’m tired and hot and flustered because you were staring at my ass. I dont know what to do,” you let it all fall out, unaware of what you were saying until it out in the open. But, you couldn’t care less anymore. You needed to know his intentions before you fell in too deep.
Calum grinned into his lap, setting down his final pair of socks. He stood up, abandoning the clothing. He settled on his feet in front of you, out stretching his hand to you.
You glanced at the body part, eyes moving up his arm to his brown ones. “What?”
“There’s a club event tomorrow or some shit. I would dance with you right now, but my eyes are falling shut just standing here.” He shrugged, fingers wiggling in the air as he rose his brows again. “Let’s go.”
Your lips began to quirk up into a smile, legs pulling you from the couch. “Wh-“
“Cuddle,” he tugged you into him when you grabbed his hand. Calum lifted you in his arms, moving his hold to your waist. You squealed as he twisted you around, bridal style, while your fingers grabbed at his shoulders.
“Okay, but my bunk, my heating blankets all warm and ready.”
With a chuckle and a shake of his head- a kiss to your forehead- he shut the door with his foot.

For the writing ask (you don’t have to answer all of them since I probably picked too many, sorry!): 1, 2, 7, 8, 10, 19, 20, 26, 30, 31, 32, 36, 38, 39, 40. (Thanks 💜)
I did it, I answered all of them!! (Yes, it took me a couple of days aha.) Thanks for asking anon! 😘
1. Which of your fics would you keep the basic plot of but rewrite completely?
Generally speaking I would rather die than rewrite anything ever, and most of the stuff I’ve written I can look back on and be like “nice”. I did recently reread a few bandom fics I wrote and felt mildly horrified by the fact that some of the writing was so spare that the dialogue sections were like reading a screenplay, so I’d have to say those would come the closest. Like I wouldn’t actually ever rewrite them, but were I to write them today they would read very, very differently.
2. Anything that you’d like to write but feel like you’re unable to?
Honestly I read soooo much Hydra Trash Party stuff and would love to vibe with Bucky’s sexual trauma in fic more but I feel like I’d really struggle to write that kind of background given my usual writing style. That’s the kind of super iddy thing I usually do in chatfic, but unfortunately I don’t have anyone to do that with in this fandom, so I’ll just keep whining internally about the lack of HTP Sam/Bucky while doing absolutely nothing to address that glaring lack.
Rest of the answers behind the cut!
7. Your favourite ao3 tag.
I cruise the Bottom Bucky Barnes tag like a 50s kid dragging Main.
8. How slow is a slow burn?
HERE’S THE THING. So if I ship something super hard, like hard enough to write or read fic about it, then I have already interpreted the canon itself as a slow burn because presumably they haven’t kissed yet, and I’m writing or reading fic because I’m ready for the kissing to be happening. I also don’t tend to read a whole lot of long fic. So basically I’m gonna need kissing by at least the 15k mark unless it’s like, masterfully written.
10. Top three favourite fic tropes.
You know, I’m honestly not usually drawn to stuff that’s very traditionally tropey! I don’t write it too often either, usually with fic I’m just a simple gal who wants to look at canon and then figure out a way to get them to acknowledge they want to kiss each other. I do love fake relationships though!
19. Share a snippet from a wip without giving any context for it.
“There’s more than one Loki,” Sam is disturbed to tell him. “A bunch more. One of them is a good guy now.” Actually, Strange had described him as ‘moderately helpful and uncomfortably sincere’. “Another one, uh, broke time, and now there are multiple timelines that have created different universes.”
“Got it,” Bucky says, in the tone of someone who in no way has it.
20. Do you work on a single project or many at the same time? How does that work for you?
I usually have a couple of things going at once that I bounce between until I decide that I’m Going To Finish Something, Dammit and force myself to focus on just one. It’s generally fine because I’d rather have too many ideas than none at all, though I’ll sometimes inadvertently cannibalize myself and have to edit out things I’ve used in two different WIPs.
26. What would you describe as OOC?
I’m honestly pretty forgiving about that, having been trained to suspend my disbelief by liking really dark fic hahaha. One weird thing that tends to throw me in not-dark fic is a lack of humor in the dialogue. I tend to like fandoms with pretty funny characters or people, so I like to see their sense of humor reflected in fic. Sam and Bucky in particular are really funny characters in their own ways - gimme the banter, please!!
30. Describe a fic that almost happened, but then it didn’t.
In so many fandoms I’ve had visions of an OTP epic spanning years and years, and in zero of those fandoms have I ever completed one of those stories.
31. What was the most difficult fic for you to write (but in the end you made it)?
There is a point where every fic feels like the most difficult thing I’ve ever written. Something particularly cute that I do, which I love, is writing very intensely up to the sex scene, and then getting shy about it and wandering away and not working on it again for a little while, despite the fact that usually the whole point of the fic is that I want to get to the sex scene!!!
32. Do you have a word/expression that you always use in your writing?
I’m sure I have plenty of things like that!! I try to edit repetitive things like that out because when I’m reading a lot of a writer’s stuff little phrasing quirks always stand out to my copyeditor brain. That said, I know when I’m doing it and still tend to huffily be like “well that’s the best way to phrase that action!!” so, whatever.
36. How do you come up with fic titles? What’s the one you’re most proud of?
I either have a title from the jump or I’m combing my music library for a lyric snippet I can use like ten minutes before I post the fic. I’m pretty fond of This Is A Song About Fucking in that I committed SO deeply to jacking myself off there; it’s a phrase that Brendon Urie used to say to introduce Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off during the Nothing Rhymes With Circus tour (I had to look that tour name up. Thank GOD I had to look that tour name up) and I used it for a 5SOS group sex fic posted a cool eight years after that tour (which I went to multiple dates of, oh god) ended.
38. “This never happened” fix-it fics or “this happened but” fix-it fics?
Definitely the latter, when a canon makes a lousy choice I’m usually like well here we are, let’s talk about where we go from here. But I don’t really look for anything with the fix-it tag in general, once the canon breaks something I loved I’m usually so moody that I just abandon ship and stop reading fic haha.
39. Wildest AU scenario you have written?
I verrrry rarely write AUs for posting, but have chatficced some truly bonkers nonsense in my time. My old writing partner in bandom and I used to get weird with Brendon/Ryan - the satyr/fairy and fisherman/selkie days were really something.
40. Write a 9-word fic.
I’m too invested in the thing I’ve written 5k words of these week to think of anything new, so here’s a snippet from that instead.
“Come here,” he chokes out, and the helpless hope on Bucky’s face in response nearly undoes him completely. He sits up to meet Bucky halfway, grabs at his shirt the moment he’s within reach and drags him close, Bucky climbing onto the bed all long limbs and graceless need. The kiss is a surprise only in how rough it is, a hard press of lips like Bucky’s greedy to touch Sam any way he can, like this is just another way for them to collide.

But how will they collide when Luke makes Y/N pregnant after a drunkenly one night stand
When We Collide on Wattpad
“Are you goddamn shitting me?”
Your mumbles were faint in the hallway as you stumbled down against the cold fuzzy beige carpet. It wasn’t warm like it used to under your bare feet and your head was wrapped in your sheets.
“Why does it always have to be at 2 A.M the power goes out and I’m alone?”
You grumpily wrapped the small flash light you had brought along from your nightstand between your lips and focused on the fuse box. It was hidden in a long closet standing by the end of the hallway but when you opened the door it was there.
“If I knew how this thing worked it would have become an electrician.”
You shook your head in disbelief and furrowed your eyebrows confused. With a mix of numbers and colors, weird cables that lead to everywhere you were left unsure of what to do.
“Well the red one could be an outstanding choice?” You leaned over to grab the red cable, but with the lack of experience and totally confusion you let go of it quickly.
Might as not start trying to burn the house down even though it was completely dead of power.
You had woken up to the confusion. Not that the lamp wasn’t on because it had been off after going to bed, but it was slowly the heat that you could feel was disappearing.
You were covered in sheets and a blanket, at first you just thought it was the cold outside. It was snowing, it was obvious over the whole city but you had assumed everything was alright with the electricity.
It wasn’t until your feet was cold as eyes and you were shaking from top to toe you knew something was wrong. What a perfect night to go through when you were completely home alone, there wasn’t even a sight of Patrick.
You were grumpy to say at least. You weren’t much for waking up in the middle of A.M. You had grown so used to having a steady sleeping rhythm when you thought about it you could sleep all the time. It came with the pregnancy.
“Maybe if I just pull this?” You weren’t even sure what you were doing and even though you were flashing on the box you didn’t understand a single thing of it.
Of course you could have called for help but who to call for? All your friends were sleeping because of college the next morning and Luke was working over for the night.
You didn’t know what he was supposed to do but it wasn’t like you could be home alone for a few hours.
Or, you thought so.
Shaking your head in disbelief you fiddled with a few buttons but not something that would change anything. You were so frustrated but decided to give up because if you started to change something in the system you most probably would ruin it.
You didn’t know what else to do than walk into the living room. There was no point of trying to sleep again because it was too cold and you felt fully awake.
Everything seemed so creepy when things weren’t in light. It wasn’t that you hadn’t walked through the apartment in darkness before but when it was forced it was like there was something scary about it.
Not to mention it wasn’t helping on your mood that also the fridge had shut down. You almost felt forced to take out all the food before it would become bad but when you thought about it, it was so cold in the apartment it probably would stay to date.
You stood confused not really knowing what to do otherwise than pressing your sheets closer to your body.
But a sound coming from the hallway leading to the elevator of the penthouse made you shake your head in disbelief. The sound wasn’t loud but it was there and enough to freak you out.
You had no idea what it was but curiosity took over. Or, more likely your nervousness freaking you out so you had to make sure nobody was about to break in or something.
Sure that was way out of the league but you still were nervous about it. Living in such an expensive apartment meant that you could get kind of skeptical at times, especially now that Luke had announced the high amount of security was because of you.
It could also be because he was extra careful about anything that involved you and the baby bump but you could never be too sure.
Wrapping the sheets closer around your body you grabbed the flash light between your hands and pointed towards the entrance of the apartment.
You didn’t know what you were supposed to do but when the sound came again your eyes widened. It couldn’t be a cat trying to crawl in, could it? It was too far high to someone to crawl into this place unless it was a bird flying into one of the windows.
You shook away the weird feeling that was creeping up your spine and headed towards the entrance with shaky hands. Nothing would happen as long as you just checked that nothing was there.
But what if there was? You couldn’t just walk forward without anything to defend yourself.
You had no idea what else to do than let the sheets drop to the floor and grab the lamp that was standing on the coffee table right next to the couch.
It wasn’t much you could do with it and besides that you had no idea if something was there or not but you couldn’t just hit them with the flashlight. It wasn’t big enough and with a lamp plus the shade of it they would get pretty surprised.
After plugging it out and flashing towards the entrance again you took a deep breath and decided to go see what it was.
The sounds had become faint but now more often, there was definitely something going on and you could feel your heart ready to pop out of your chest.
Your pulse were rising you could feel how your mouth was turning dry, but that wasn’t something good because if you needed to scream it had to be loud and clearly so everyone below could hear.
What if they were bigger than you? That chance was pretty big considering it could be a tall person and with your belly it wasn’t much you could defend yourself you couldn’t even take the stairs upstairs without losing your breath.
You were standing behind the plant when you heard the faint sound again but as you had come closer it had become louder.
You were so sure you would pee your pants any second by now, the bladder control had become invalid because of being so many weeks through and to be honest you were regretting not taking a piss before deciding to investigate like a spy.
When flashing towards the front door with the lamp high in the air ready to throw safe to say you got the biggest shock ever even though it was kind of a relief to see Luke stand with his eyes just as wide as yours.
“Luke?” You were somehow so surprised that it was him you dropped the lamp to the floor and watched it break into a million small pieces.
His eyes widened even more than before by the sudden movement but he still had his hand in front of his head because you were flashing the light right in his face.
“Y/N? What are you doing?” He asked with a hint of confusion, he had expected you to be far away in a good well sleep.
“The power went out and I heard noises. I just didn’t think you would be home by now.” You felt a little embarrassed you had put such effort into something that wasn’t really that scary.
“Me neither but I was fast finishing work. It’s okay you were scared I should have texted I was coming back.” He blinked twice when you pointed the flash light away from his face but he furrowed his eyebrows when he noticed the broken pieces again.
“Y/N that was a Tiffany Trumpet it costs $400,000!”
“Well I’m sorry I thought you were a burglar and you scared me!” You were quick to respond and leaned down to try collect the pieces.
“No, I’ll let someone take care of it tomorrow. If the power is out it’s most probably because of the cold and we can’t really do anything else about it than wait for tomorrow morning to call someone up. I’ve tried this a few times before it’s like it’s this end of January thing.”
You stood up when he explained and let go of the few pieces you had collected. It actually made sense because you couldn’t use the vacuum cleaner to clean up the mess you had created.
“For how long has it been like this?” Normally he would have shrugged off his jacket now and hung it up as he walked into the living room but he kept it on.
“I’m not sure because I’ve been sleeping but definitely an hour. It just started to get cold and when I checked the box thing I had no idea what the numbers meant.”
“Well I’ll just go heat up the fireplace then.”
You watched him over your shoulder as he headed towards the fireplace that was long and square right in front of the stairs that lead to the top building. You had never actually seen it being used you always thought it was there for decoration.
But it was in fact working and after Luke threw a bit of wood inside of it and turned a few buttons here and there suddenly there was light in the apartment.
“You can go get some candles? I have no idea when the power will be back but so far we can just lit everything we want to get some lights.”
You nodded your head in agreement and headed back to the closets where the box also was. It also included small candles, large candles and what else Luke had collected when he was on trips around the world.
“Why do you have so many candles?” You asked in confusion and were met by him wearing at least two hoodies and a beanie. Kind of a contrast to the suit he had been wearing minutes ago.
“I collect them here and there. Kind of like shampoo bottles at hotels.” He explained and you looked down at the ones you had in your hands.
With the help from him you placed a few here and there and lit them. It gave this really cozy feeling to the place and when you looked out of the windows you could tell you weren’t the only building with blackout.
It was almost like all the lights had come back and after grabbing a small speaker to turn up some music from his phone you stood in the kitchen looking at each other.
“How was your day?” You asked and pressed your hands against the counter to try pull yourself up.
“Long and exhausting. After you left I was sitting alone in the whole building with paper works that never really seemed to end. It’s because of the new year so I have to go through all the papers from last year to see how much we’ve earned and such.”
You nodded your head in agreement even though you had no idea what he was talking about and a sigh came from your lips when you weren’t able to pull yourself up.
“But as I was fast and going through the stuff quick I decided to leave early,” While speaking he grabbed you under the thighs and easily lifted you up on the counter with a small smile.
“So I walked home to an apartment that was completely shut off. I couldn’t even use the elevator so I had to take the stairs. People can’t say I’m not in shape because dear got over 2.000 steps I can feel it in my thighs.”
You smiled softly by his explanation and watched him head towards the fridge. He was taking out a few ingrediens you weren’t sure why but you assumed it was because it was shut off.
“What’s up with you pouty?” He asked after noticing your face expression, something you hadn’t even realized yourself.
Your hand came up to touch your pouty lip and you folded them together once before shaking your head not wanting to say anything.
“What?” He asked carefully and cocked is head to the side, “Don’t want to share?”
“It’s just stupid...” You mumbled and fiddled with your fingers between your thighs.
“It’s just that I think I’ve gained too much weight. I can barely do anything now and I’ve been eating like insane the last couple of days. I know I’m supposed to do that because of her but it’s just like I’m too afraid that it will become too much. I can’t carry stuff anymore, I can’t take long walks without feeling like my feet are about to burn off and I neither can I carry myself onto the kitchen counter. I just think I’ve really become fat.”
“You’re not fat.” He was so quick to respond you looked up from your belly carefully.
“You eat just exactly what you want because it’s what the baby needs. You’re carrying for two, of course you will eat more than normal but that’s nothing to worry about. People don’t look at you in a different way because you’ve gained weight they look at you because you’re more beautiful and blossoming than ever.”
Your lips parted carefully by his words but you had no idea what to respond. A red color was spreading on your cheeks and he smiled softly by your reaction.
“I don’t know how to reply other than thank you.” You shifted in your seat and shrugged your right shoulder.
“You don’t have to respond you just have to take the words in.” His voice was still gentle and soft but he meant every single bit of it.
You smiled softly and watched him grab a bowl from below the counter. He was planning to do something and cooking seemed a little bit weird at this time of the night.
“What are you doing?” You asked and crossed your legs on top of the counter as much as you possibly could.
“Pancakes. I’ve heard they’re best when you’re fooling around late at night.” He replied and looked over at you with warm eyes, meanwhile opening the bag of flour he had in his hands.
You had not expected for this to happen but when you thought about it, it was the perfect time for it.
It wasn’t much you saw each other when it came to being home. He was frustrated and busy all the time but not taking it out on you. He always made sure to put a smile on your face even if it was just by the simplest thing.
He was always trying his best to make sure that he always seemed to be there even if he wasn’t. You appreciated it so goddamn much.
“But what about the blackout? We can’t even cook because the power is out.” The pout came back to your face you couldn’t avoid not looking a bit disappointed.
“That’s why we’re using the gas stove.” He leaned down to press on and a little bit after a small blueish flame was shown right below the small grid on the stove.
It was actually the first time you had seen that being used as well. Luke had a lot of stoves in the house but most of them were flat and not made on gas. They were the ones mostly used by the cook he had but when seeing this one being used it created a different tension.
“I think you can also cook marshmallows on this but I’m not sure if it’s a good idea or not.” He had a curious look on his face but you shook your head to his idea.
“What? Seems like you’ve tried it.” He laughed and you nodded your head.
“I tried it with Nicole once. Not really a good thing it ended up being a complete mess in her dorm and safe to say her roommate wasn’t much happy about it.”
He laughed again by your words and mixed the ingrediens together. You didn’t even understand how he could do this because it was like he was day and night when it came to cooking. Sometimes he knew just well what he was doing and at other times he was worse than you and almost burning hot water.
“I didn’t know you knew how to make pancakes.” You weren’t sure if you wanted to say it or not but curiosity took over.
“Something you learned on that camp as well?”
“No, no I haven’t actually.” He chuckled by your words and made sure the dough was good enough for the soon to be hot pan.
“One of my chiefs taught me when I couldn’t sleep. It was a period where I was very stressed out so I had someone to cook for me 24/7. He taught me a few lessons here and there including pancakes because I always crave them at the weirdest times. And I’m a very fast learner so since then it’s been kind of my thing.”
“Well when you think about it you’ve never made me pancakes before.” You hummed and he looked up with shiny eyes.
“Well that’s gonna change now. Catch.”
You barely got the chance to say what before the first pancake was flying towards your direction. If it wasn’t for the fact you had fast reactions it would have gone straight to your face.
“Luke!” You scolded and took the pancake from landing on your lap.
“What? I said catch.” He laughed and you shook your head in disbelief.
If he wanted a fight then so be it. As he was focusing on making the second pancake and spread it out on the pan you folded your own pancake into a ball and pointed it right towards him.
But before you could hit him straight in the face he shook his head but didn’t look up at you.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” He warned and for once looked over at you with the flipping thing in his hand.
“I’m not doing anything.” You whispered back and placed the pancake in your mouth in one piece.
It wasn’t something he expected and he had to hold everything in to try not to laugh again. You were trying to chew but it was happening horribly and after trying to swallow the whole piece he laughed loudly.
“You’re such a charming person.” He commented and you nodded your head in agreement.
“I’m aware of that.” You smiled and jumped down from the counter to help him out.
He looked confused at first but when he saw you were there to help me smiled brightly.
Not that it was much you could do but you liked to stand next to him and watch. If it would get too hard you would just to grab a chair because there was no way possibly you would jump onto the counter with your own help again.
He was whistling carefully along to the music and you thought how this was the first time he actually seemed and felt calm. There was nothing about him that seemed stressed out, he wasn't walking around in mumbles with his eyebrows furrowed or trying to come with an insult or something that was related to work.
Everything around him just felt so real for once. It was natural. It was like he wasn't trying to be someone who he achieved to be.
The way he was looking over the pan with such concentration showed that in his head he had something else on his mind that work. He just wanted this to be a cozy time even though it was after midnight and you most probably had to go to bed. It wasn't a weekend day and you knew in a couple of hours you would have to wake up and sit at your office for another ten hours.
He was just standing there making pancakes and sometimes laughing. He was so comfortable around you, you were so happy the feeling for once was mutual.
After explaining that he had headed to Ashton's you were pretty shocked. Safe to say, having him to leave in the first place was the first time in your life you had actually felt real pain in your chest. The one where you can't get rid of it no matter what and you know it's because you need someone else's strength and not your own.
You had not expected for him to come back and when he did it was breathtaking. Everything about it was something you so dearly needed when he sat down on the couch he didn't go away. In fact you stayed on the couch until the early mornings not saying anything but just being in each other's presence.
It was like that was the best communication between you. The one where you didn't have to worry about stuff because words could hurt more than feelings. You knew just exactly well how each other were thinking and that had come with getting to know each other so well.
That was how you continued it. You weren't speaking much but when you did it was only sweet words. Not something where you would yell, not something where you would argue to the early mornings. It was all just calm and quiet.
You also needed that since entering the third trimester of the pregnancy. So many things were coming up and before you knew it you would suddenly have a baby in your arms. At first Luke had grown scared but to be honest you were starting to be tripping as well.
Even though you had rented books and what else to prepare it was like you could never get enough to fully understand the concept of being a mother.
"You know we should actually find a name pretty soon." He mentioned after what could be close to the tenth pancake and you hummed in agreement.
"I was thinking of pancake." You laughed and he raised his eyebrow.
"Peanut Pancake? God we are literally forcing her to be bullied in school already." He commented and you giggled in reaction.
"We are definitely not going to call her that." You said, not with a stern tone but enough to make him realize you were serious.
"But that doesn't mean we don't have to find one. She's coming out in April we need to be prepared. Can't have her be called Baby Hemmings for the next few months after her birth."
"Who says her surname is going to be Hemmings?" You asked with a hint of teasing and he raised his eyebrows.
"That's a discussion we will share with her first name."
You furrowed your eyebrows but smiled anyways because of his way of acting. It was like he had already been thinking and preparing it already but to be honest none of you had spoken about it yet.
"Can you take the cinnamon. I think we need to spice up the dough a bit."
You looked over your shoulder by his words and leaned over to look for the cinnamon in the amount of other spices. They all looked the same and even though you had lights coming from the candles you couldn't tell which was which.
Luke sighed softly and let go of the pan to head towards you and still standing behind you as he leaned his arm under yours and forward for the cinnamon. He knew just exactly well where it was and fished it out from under your arm.
You turned around in reaction and the only separation between you was the large bump pressing against his stomach.
"You found it." It was the only thing that seemed to come out from your mouth and he nodded his head in agreement.
It was like even though the bump was separating you you could still feel his heartbeat race. How he was standing so close was enough to replace all the cold that had been in the apartment all night.
You had no idea what was going on but your thoughts were interrupted as all the lights came back into the apartment. It was kind of a shock at first but Luke still didn’t move.
“The power is back.” He whispered and you nodded your head in agreement, feeling how his eyes adverted down to your lips.
“Your pancake is burning.” You whispered back and this time his eyes widened.
Hurrying away from you to stop it from smoking you took a deep breath and looked over at him with wide eyes. His eyes were completely focused on the pancake to see the reaction but if it was possible everyone in New York would be able to see how red your cheeks had become.

wildflower pt 5 - calum hood
a/n: i dont even know what to write in this a/n’s anymore HAHAHAH but snippets of karla and calum, a little derailed but they find their way back to each other, always. a little shorter but i hope you still enjoy!
summary: after a nasty breakup, Karla Rivera finds herself working as one of the new producers/songwriter for 5SOS. She had no intention to fall in love right now, but one conversation struck a chord with her. In between producing a smashing album and writing hit singles, Karla finds herself entangled in the arms of a man who she never thought she’d end up with.
The silence in the house was deafening. Calum had been avoiding Karla all week, the one week before tour and she was not having it. She tried to be patient, let him have his time to sort out his thoughts, but he was leaving in two days and she hasn’t seen him once. So she storms into his house at nearly 11PM the night before tour and they proceed to have a screaming match with one another. Harsh words were thrown all across the room, the pillows on the couch scattered the floor. It was now half time, Calum leaning over the kitchen counter and Karla’s back was against the refrigerator, her hands crossed in front of her chest. The only sound breaking the silence was the jingle of Duke’s collar as he runs back and forth between his parents.
“You can go if you want to.” Calum raises his voice above a whisper. Karla scoffs, pushing forward so she stands upright.
“You really want me to go? You really want me to leave on this note? Seriously, Calum?” He stays silent, head hanging over him. Tears prick in her eyes when she doesn’t hear him speak, doesn’t hear him say the words that she so desperately wants him to.
“Can you at least say something?”
“What?! What do you want me to say?” He lashes out at her and Karla stumbles back. His mind is running and he can’t catch up, the words pouring out before he could stop them, “I’m going on tour for four months, I’m not going to be here. Then you realise you don’t need me and then you’ll leave. It always happens, it always will happen.” He’s crying too, wanting nothing more than to curl into a ball on the ground. She’s heartbroken that he would ever think that way but she also sighs in relief, finally being able to get him to unravel on his own. Sure, Karla knows she pushed his buttons but she knows its what’s good for him. Talking, sharing his thoughts instead of bottling it all up until it explodes into a raging pit of fire. She lets herself approach him, wiping the tears from his eyes. Her other hand rested on his torso, pushing him closer to her despite his protests. He leans down and buries his face into her neck. She feels the tears soak through her shirt onto her skin and her heart softens.
“I’m always going to be here, Calum. No matter what storm we go through, what drought that tries to pull us apart, I’m always going to be here. I know what I was getting into the moment you kiss me and I’ve done this before, sweet pea. Yes its tough and yes we will go through the motions but I know that I love you more than enough to ride through them, just so I can see the love of my life do what he loves.”
“You can find someone better, especially when I’m gone-“ Calum tries to reason it out, but whatever he says is far from reasoning and Karla cuts him off.
“I dare you to finish what you wanted to say, Calum. I dare you.” He sighs, wrapping his arms tightly around your waist.
“I love you, Calum Thomas Hood. I love every single inch of you and I want to be your forever, if you let me. Don’t run from me, please.”
“I’m sorry, I love you too. I’m not going to run, I promise.”
-
Two whole months. It definitely felt longer than that for the both of them. They were in a new relationship and having to be so far away from each other when they were supposed to be in their honeymoon phase, definitely took a toll on the pair. No matter how much experience Karla had with dating artists that travelled the world, it was always the sound of their dejected voice over the phone and the teary-eyed Facetime that broke her heart. It also causes her to make heat of the moment decisions, like cancelling all her studio sessions and getting on an airplane.
Karla’s knee bounces in the cab as she makes her way to the arena. The boys had arranged for her to come down two days prior and keeping it a secret from Calum was the toughest thing on the planet. They hope they’ve managed to pull it off, with Karla telling him that she has to make a trip to Nashville to write with another artist. When in reality, she was on a flight to Tampa where the boys were scheduled for their next show. She arrives just two songs before the end of the show and she meets Sierra who welcomed her with open arms.
“He’s going to be so excited, he has no clue.” They make their way to side stage, where she watches them for the second last song. Calum was having the best time and anyone could tell, the smile on his face wider than ever. He was bouncing around on stage, totally unaware that his girlfriend was just a few feet away from him. When they start their final song, Karla makes her way to the dressing room, and sits on one of the couches to wait for her man. She feels jittery and excitement bubbles in her after finally being able to see him in the flesh. She hears the boys from down the corridor and the smile on her face couldn’t get any wider when they let Calum enter the room first. His eyes lock with hers and he has to do a double take.
“You’re joking” Karla shoots up from her seat, running towards him. She jumps into his arms, his sweaty body colliding into hers as she wraps her legs around his waist.
“Do I look like a joke to you, Hood?” He shakes his head at her, soaking in as much of her presence as he could at one time.
“Well then, kiss me.”

The ballroom was aglow. Chandeliers hung from high vaulted ceilings, flames blazed above and left a lurid haze of warmth in their wake. Michael swept into the room as a crashing crescendo hit its queue. The music was loud, overwhelming when mixed with the crowd of strangers. He knew no one, if not for the masks on their faces, then for the fact his home was filled with dignitaries and lords and ladies of lands he had never been to. His eyes scanned the room, from the glistening display of ice sculptures to the exuberant amount of food lining tables against the walls.
None of it mattered. All Michael wanted to see was shy smiles and fidgeting hands. He scoped out the room once more, falling into disappointment when he couldn’t find her. But a gentle tap on his shoulder had him turning on his heel, letting out a breath of awe and taking her in. Instead of uniform—a gray dress and apron—light blue lace and pearls donned her body. Her hair was done up and a mask made to match her dress hid her face. But she was unmistakable to Michael. He’d know her anywhere.
“Care to dance?” Michael asked and extended his hand to her in offering.
She nodded and behind the mask that claimed her face Michael knew her cheeks were warming.
“As if I could refuse a prince,” she whispered airily as they drifted to the middle of the dance floor.
For the first time since Michael met her there was no fear that lingered between them. Secrets danced in the open. The prince took a beautiful lady to the middle of the ballroom and no one spared them a glance except in awe. Whispers would not carry words of disapproval, sneers would not meet their gazes. Michael felt like he was on the clouds as they twirled around, his hands lightly on her waist. He was trained in dance but she knew no steps other than to sway rhythmically to the music.
“Can you believe a kitchen maid is at a royal ball?” she asked in another whisper, the question so timid and filled with such disbelief it nearly broke Michael’s heart.
If he had it his way he would escort her to every event the castle threw. She would be awe inspiring in silks and jewels. She would be his princess and arranged marriages would cease to exist.
Instead of voicing all of those thoughts and wants he simply sighed with content. “You’re stunning.”
Her touch glided from his shoulders, up his neck and to his face where she gently lifted his white mask. She smiled shyly as she took him in before placing it back down. “As are you, my prince,” she responded and twirled with the music. Her dress sashayed in a grand sweep and she giggled. “I’ve never worn a dress so fine. You’ll have to thank her for me.”
Michael went rigid, the mere mention of his betrothed enough to make him falter. He wanted to despise her, he certainly hated their situation and the fact he could not marry the one he loved. But he couldn’t find resentment for her in him. Not when she was kind enough to grant his lady a night made from her dreams and dress made of lace and pearls.
“I will,” he promised. The ballroom was beautiful, her dress and mask were intricate and complimented her in a wondrous way, but Michael was still missing something. “Come out to the balcony with me?” he asked, knowing the shadows of the night would give them privacy.
She nodded as he took her hand and led the way out the doors to the desolate space. The moon was out, full and glowing just like her smile. Stars dotted the sky in tales of heroes and tragedies. Michael found her gaze, innocent and sweet. He acted on impulse once he was sure they were completely alone.
Just as she had, with gentle fingers and a loving touch, he lifted the lace mask from her face, finding much more beauty beneath the material. She smiled again, not as shy as before. When they were alone, she wasn’t afraid to be intimate, to show sides of herself the rest of the kingdom would never know. She beamed under the moon and looked up at the sky.
“It’s a beautiful night,” she said and turned to reach a hand out to the balcony railing, gripping it softly with a gloved hand. “It’s too bad it will be over so soon.”
Michael breathed out, breath colliding with the chilled air in a sorrowful plume. The party would die down in only a couple of short hours. Her dress would be replaced with the uniform Michael was prone to seeing her in though her glamor and beauty would not disappear. The castle would go back to being dark and feeling hollow. The morning would come and his wedding day would approach, no matter how much he willed it not to. His one true love would not be the one to walk down the aisle to him, no matter how much he wished for it.
“We could slip away,” Michael suggested and while she was used to the phrase--slipping away from the kitchens or royal responsibilities and finding alone time in the dark of Michael’s chambers--this time she sighed and shook her head slowly.
“We can’t do that anymore,” she said softly but the words were enough to pierce against Michael’s heart. “This is our last night. You’re meant to be wed in a fortnight,” she continued and turned back to him, reaching out for his hands and giving them a gentle squeeze. “She’s a good woman. And you’ll be a good husband.”
“We could run away,” Michael then suggested even though he knew it was farfetched, he could never run from the crown he was born to wear, he could never escape the fate that followed him.
She laughed but it was not filled with joy as it usually was. “I couldn’t rob a king of his crown.”
“I’m not king yet,” he mumbled.
“No, but you’ll be the best one this kingdom has ever seen. If you let yourself be,” she encouraged and closed the small distance between them, her lips brushing his softly. “I love you too much to let you run away from everything you’ve ever wanted.”
“You’re everything I want,” Michael spoke the truth but he knew it wasn’t enough. He knew the night was their last. “Stay with me tonight?” and in the morning they would go back to being a prince and a kitchen maid. Only crossing paths when the castle halls brought them together. Only exchanging familiar glances and pretending their hearts weren’t breaking with each day.
“One last night,” she agreed and slipped her mask back on, all of their games and disguises coming back to life as they left the party.
Their guards only came down when they were tucked safely away from everyone else. One last night filled with bliss and promises they knew they could not keep. The moon faded away and with the sunrise came an empty side of the bed and a lace dress left behind on the floor. Michael’s heart in pieces.

Wake up, Sunshine - Part 3
Warnings: Cursing, anxiety attacks, car accident, still mostly fluff.
Summary: As much as Addy wanted to hide everything from Calum, there was just something about him that made her want to tell him everything. Maybe now was the right time to tell him.
Word count: 3k
A/N: This is the third and final part to my piece that I wrote for disabled!sos day, and idea that came from the lovely @skinnylukes. A day that is meant to encourage more disability-inclusive writing in the 5SOS community. I enjoyed writing for this project, and it was a huge honor to be a part of it. Hope you all have fun reading, and are staying safe and healthy. Lots of love!! 😊
Part 1 | Part 2
Tumblr media
It’s been about six months since I told Calum about the accident. That night, we stayed up until the sun came up talking about it. He asked me questions about the healing process and how I got used to walking with a mechanical leg. The only time I felt even the slightest bit uncomfortable is when he asked me to take it off. I had hesitated, but I did it, I even took off the stocking I wore to prevent horrible chafing. He had gasped when he saw the scar. His fingers grazed it as he continued to tell me how sorry he was that I went through this. I had shown him the pictures I had, including the most gruesome ones. We cried together the night, but I feel that’s what truly built our bond.
From that moment on, it was like we could never leave each other’s side. We both did our daily routines, I went on a run, then I went to work, he’d work too, but the second I’d get back to his place, we couldn’t leave the room without the other one following. It didn’t take us long to agree to live with each other, it was easier that way, and it wasn’t long until he asked to join me on my morning runs. That was something that I felt the most scared about. I still hadn’t quite gotten the motion down, and I didn’t want him to see me like that, but he made no comments about it. Just ran next to me, talking like everything was normal.
The day I did finally get the motion down was one we celebrated. I yelled in the middle of the stride and told him that I finally got it, he held his hands up in victory and when we finished the path back at his house, he pressed a hard kiss to my lips and told me how proud of me he was. It wasn’t long after that day they he left to go on tour. The house was lonely without him, my morning runs were lonely without him. Everything was weird without him. As much as I loved having Duke as company, I needed to feel the warmth of his body against mine again. Thank god he was coming home for a break today.
I spent most of the day pacing around the house, just waiting for him to walk through the front door. When he did finally get home, I was standing by the front door. When he saw me, he dropped his bags and threw his arms around me, lips pressing against mine with need. A need that I felt as well. He pulled his lips away from mine, “I missed you so much,” he whispered. My heart fluttered, I missed him too, more than I could ever explain. “Can I take you out to dinner tonight? To a fancy restaurant?” His right thumb rubbed my cheek, and I smiled at the idea, but how fancy was he thinking?
My throat worked, thinking about it. “How fancy? I don’t know if I have anything fancy to wear.” He smirked, then told me that he wants to take me to a five-star restaurant. “I don’t have anything to wear to that kind of place.”
“Go shopping, take Crystal with you.” As fun as that sounded, I didn’t want to. I wanted to spend the whole day pressed against him. “I’ll be here when you get back, I promise. I’m not going anywhere.”
Crystal picked me up about fifteen minutes later. The normal anxiety attack ensued while she drove. I had to pace in the parking lot for a minute before we could go into the mall, but Crystal was patient, she knew hoe hard car rides were for me. She knew how much I hated that I couldn’t stop the anxiety attack until I was out of the car. Every time I wished I could just get over it, but every time I think about the crunching sound the car made as the other one collided with our car.
We made it into the store, and I started looking at all of the floor length dresses. We had only gone out a few times, but when we did go out, I wore something that covered my leg. He had asked me why, and I confessed to him that I didn’t want the whole world to know. He proceeded to tell me to ignore what anyone had to say, but I still didn’t feel comfortable with it, so he didn’t fight me anymore.
Crystal caught sight of me looking at the floor length dresses and grabbed my hand. “Stop hiding who you are, Addy. I know that it’s hard to expose yourself to the whole world, but if Calum doesn’t care, then why should you?” My hands were shaking at the thought of showing my leg off.
My voice trembled as I spoke, “What if they say horrible things about me?”
Crystal scoffed and started sorting through a rack of clothing, “People say horrible things in general, bionic leg or not. Unfortunately, that’s a side effect of being with someone famous. Trust me, I know.” He eyes lit up when she reached a certain dress. “This one is perfect.” She held up a black dress, cut into a love V in the front, the skirt of the dress being high in the front, low in the back. “Go try it on!”
I stood in front of the mirror with the dress on, my leg incredibly visible. Even though I wasn’t, I felt naked. “I don’t know Crystal, this shows off a lot.” I called through the door of the dressing room, still staring at myself in the mirror.
I could hear her get closer to the door, “Can I see it before you make any rash decisions?” With a sigh, I turned around and opened the door. I stayed inside the walls of the dressing room as he looked at me, her eyes lighting up. “You look amazing in that dress, Addy. Calum will absolutely swoon over you. You have to get it, please.”
Somehow, probably with some Jedi mind trick, she managed to convince me to get the dress, and a pair of black flats that laced up my ankle. WE continued to shop around for a while, but I was good with just the dress and shoes. My confidence already shot by the thought of exposing my leg to the whole world.
Crystal waited to drive away until I was able to go inside with composure. When I walked through the front door of the house, it was quiet, the only thing I could hear was the soft sound of music. When I looked at the floor, there were rose pedals the lead from the front door down the hallway toward the bedroom. My eyebrows stitched together in confusion, but I set my stuff down on the ground and followed the trail. The trail lead into the bedroom but continued into the bathroom. My eyes flickered around the bedroom, Calum was nowhere to be found. When I continued to the bathroom, I found him sitting on the edge of the bathtub, holding a single rose. There were candles lit all around the bathtub, and the tub was full of water and rose pedals floating. “What’s going on, Calum?” I asked with a smile stretching across my lips.
He smiled and stood up, stretching his hand out towards me. When my hand landed in his, he gently pulled me towards him and he handed me the rose. With a smile, I took it from him and took in the florally scent. “I missed you so much, today is going to be all about us. I prepared you a bath, you can take it alone if you want, or I can stay in here with you, it’s up to you.” He turned toward the bathtub for a second and then back at me. Suddenly, I realized how difficult it would be to get into the bath by myself, so I asked him to stay with me.
I’d never asked him to help me like this. He’s seen me without my prosthetic plenty of times now, but never in this type of situation. I hated asking him for help, even though he told me that I was being ridiculous. My ex never wanted to help me, I told him. He didn’t, after the accident, that easily could’ve killed both of us, he found everything I needed to be an annoyance. I always had to remind him that I shouldn’t have even survived, which seemed to annoy him even further.
As I sat on the edge of the bathtub, I took my bionic leg off and spun so that my right leg was in the water. That’s when Calum found his spot behind me and I grabbed his arm for leverage. He helped me bounce over to the end of the bathtub, which is when he put his arms under my armpits and he held me up as I my body slid into the warm water. As I settled into the water, I thanked him sheepishly. He ran his hand through my hair and kissed the top of my head. “It’s not a problem, baby.”
He stayed in the bathroom with me, humming a song as he massaged my shoulders. It was when he moved to my hair and massages my scalp that the words finally slipped out of my mouth, “I love you, Calum.” We had never spoken those words to each other, even though we knew we were in love. Those words just weren’t the ones we usually used. My eyes opened, surprised the words slipped through. When I looked up at him, he was smiling.
He leaned forward and pressed a gently kiss to my forehead. “I love you too, Addy, more than anything in this world.” We continued to laugh and talk and enjoy each other’s company while sitting in the bathroom. When I decided I wanted to get out, he put his arms back under my armpits and helped me stand up. He helped me sit on the edge of the bathtub and he took a few steps towards the closet that had all of the towels in it. The fabric felt soft against my skin as he wrapped it around me.  He helped me dry off before I pulled my stocking and my prosthetic on.
When it was time to get ready, I took more time than I actually needed to get ready, but I wanted to feel good since I was going to be exposing so much of myself. The final touch was putting my dress on, and after I laced up the flats, I stepped in front of the mirror to look at myself. As much as I hated showing off the fact that I am part bionic, I felt good about myself. For once I was actually excited to step out with Calum. People could say whatever they wanted about me. I knew he loved me for who I was, and that was absolutely empowering to me.
Calum was waiting by the front door for me, he was wearing a pair of black slacks, a red button up shirt, with the first few buttons undone, a leather jacket, and some black boots that I hadn’t seen him wear in a long time. His hair was styled for the first time in a while, and he just looked absolutely perfect. I stopped at a spot where he could see me and cleared my throat. He stopped pacing and looked at me. As soon as he saw me, his eyes lit up. He slowly made his way over to me, his hands snaking around my waist. “You’re not wearing a floor length dress.”
My head dropped as I shook my head, “No, Crystal talked me out of it. You can thank you for that one later.” My eyes met his again, and he let out a breathy laugh.
“You are absolutely beautiful, Addy. Not just now, every day.” He pressed a passionate kiss to my lips before grabbing my hand and leading me out to the car. My hand tightened in his before he let go of it to place his hands on either side of my face. “Take a deep breath with me.” I did as he asked, and he talked me through my anxiety. When I sat in the car, it was the first time in a long time that I wasn’t physically trembling. My heart was still racing, but my hands weren’t as sweaty as they usually were.
When we reached the restaurant, you could see the photographers waiting. “I’m sorry, sunshine, I had to make reservations so of course everyone knows we’re here. Do you want to go through the back?” The amount of people with cameras waiting intimidated me. A part of me wanted to take him up on his offer and go through the back, we’ve done it before. However, this time I wanted to take it on.
“No, let them take their pictures. Let them talk about me, I don’t care.” I tore my eyes off the photographers and looked at Calum who looked quite surprised. “Who cares what they have to say about me. I know you love me for who I am. None of what they have to say matters.” Calum smiled and leaned over the center console in his car to press a hasty kiss to my lips. The second he got out of the car the cameras started flashing. My chest raised with my breath, even though I acted tough, I was scared shitless. He opened my car door and I turned my whole body so I could step out onto my left foot. The flashes stopping momentarily as everyone got a glimpse of my metallic leg.
Calum grabbed my hand and squeezed it, reassuring me that everything was going to be okay. We walked together, hands laced together, the camera flashes picking back up. He held onto my hand while we waded our way through the crowd. I tried to ignore the rude comments being tossed towards me. They didn’t bother me as much as they bothered Calum, that was made obvious when he finally turned around, “That’s just plain rude, mate.” He said it as nicely as he could, but I could tell he was getting worked up. I put my hand on his chest and told him to keep walking.
When we got into the restaurant, his face was red with anger. His eyes locked on the people outside the front doors. My fingertips trailed down his cheek, pulling his eyes off them and back onto me. “It’s fine, we’re here to have a nice dinner. Remember what I said in the car? Nothing they say matters.”
His face softened, and he kissed me. “I know, but they were just being rude for no reason. They have no reason to say any of those things to you.” He grabbed my face and placed his forehead on mine, apologizing.
“Calum, you don’t need to apologize, everything is fine, let’s go have a nice dinner.” He nodded and turned to the man at the stand. The man took us all the way to the back of the restaurant into a private room, where he closed the door behind him after he told us the dinner and wine specials. It was nice to be in a room that was just us, no cameras, no people, just us and the wait staff.
A woman wearing a white chefs uniform came out to us, her hands clasped behind her back. She introduced herself as the sous chef, and that she had a wonderful meal planned out for us. Calum raised his eyebrows at me, silently telling me he knew how to treat me. The sous chef excused herself back into the kitchen as a waiter brought out a bottle of wine and poured it into our glasses. We cheered to our relationship and took a drink of our wine.
The whole night was perfect. Dinner, the wine, the bath I was able to take before dinner, everything. I was pretty sure that there was nothing else that would make this dinner better. That was until Calum reached across the table to grab my hand and looked me in the eyes with water lining his eyes. “Addy, can I tell you something?”
I squeezed his hand and nodded, “You can tell me anything, you know that.” I smiled, and he ran this thumb over my fingers. His throat working as he tried to conjure up the nerves to speak again.
He laughed nervously, “I know we’ve only been together for about six months, but those six months have felt like a lifetime to me. I never thought I would feel this way about a single person in my entire life. You are the reason I wake up every morning, you are the reason I smile, you just are my reason to be me.” The tears started to well up in my eyes, but my heart was racing, nervous about why he was telling me all of this. He let go of my hand and scooted his chair back. My hand flew to my chest, trying to keep my heart from beating it way out. He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a small red velvet box. I held my breath and he came closer to me and knelt down on one knee. “You are the love of my life, and I want to be able to wake up next to you every morning for the rest of my life.” He opened the box to reveal a beautiful rose gold ring with a bright white diamond sitting on the top. “Adeline Davis, will you marry me?”
The tears escaped my eyes and a sob hitched in my throat. My head nodded frantically, not able to actually get the word out of my throat. He pulled the ring out of the box and grabbed my left hand, slipping the ring onto my finger. The wait staffed clapped as he closed the space between us and we shared our first kiss and an engaged couple. I couldn’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him.

New York provided no shade from the bright lights of fame despite your relocation from LA. Every time your foot exited your new apartment building in Manhattan, camera flashing swarmed your vision like bloodthirsty hornets. Equally unrelenting were the men holding them, often shouting crude and vicious rumors to get a reaction. It came with the life you were gifted. Being as close to Tony as you were, fame crept behind you constantly, hiding in the deep recesses of alleys and buildings you passed. It wasn't anything you chose, far from it actually. Somehow you went from humble uni student to famous confidant of Tony Stark.
It is true he took you under his wing, but it wasn't your fault he viewed you as his own daughter. Yet despite this, you were the one who had to deal with the fallout of it. The paparazzi, the vicious fans, the lack of privacy. A bit of you reveled in it because occasionally, it was nice to be the center of attention. Occasionally. You were lucky that Tony set you up with a lovely PR team, predicting the outcome of the growing friendship between the two of you. This meant you were trained for these things. The paps, the interviews, the tours. It is what came with the life. At least that's what you kept repeating to yourself as you put on a brave face and walked through the crowd with a gracious confidence and a kind smile, surrounded by brute security who did not mirror your compassion for those around you. As soon as you collapsed in the car, the smile fell from your face faster than Icarus fell from the sky. Fittingly too. It wasn't too long ago you had true happiness. Being lifted from a less than glamorous life and shoved into the spotlight had its perks. Having a team with you wherever you went meant you were never hungry or worrying about paying rent or struggling to pay off student loans. But when you fly too close to the sun….
“Hey Max, would you mind turning on some music?”
“Of course Miss. Y/N” His hand momentarily left the wheel to turn on the radio and returned just as quickly. Swells of some band you didn't quite know filled the all-to-empty compartment of a vehicle meant for 6. Opening your phone, you swiped through social media until you arrived at the compound. Max opening his front door triggered a fake smile upon your face as he wrapped around the car to let you out. Your hand was taken by Max and your Sophia Webster heel graced the pavement of the compound driveway as you exited the car, poise dripping from your every movement. This facade was dropped immediately when you entered the safety of the compound doors. Immediately taking off your heels, you quickly lost Max at the door and quickly moved to the safety of your room to avoid any unnecessary interactions. Collapsing into your prestigiously decorated room, you found a pair of leggings and a loose tank top to change into. You were home momentarily but you couldn't let that make you lazy and unpracticed according to the schedule your PR team sent you.
5:45am - Arrive at Compound
6:00am - Yoga in Training Studio
7:00am - Breakfast
7:25am - Meeting with Mr. Stark to Review notes
8:45am - Nail fill
And the list droned on and on until too late in the evening for your taste. You groaned, grabbing your yoga mat at its designated corner and burying your head in your phone, looking for a playlist to suit your next hour.  Sliding in your headphones and clicking on the closet album, your bare feet quickly and quietly pattered down the hallway before you collided with someone significantly taller than you causing your phone and yoga mat to drop rather dramatically on the floor. Removing your ear buds, you froze reaching for your belongings as a laugh rang in your ears. “Here, let me help you wi-... Y/N?”His blue eyes pierced your heart as they met yours, at a distance too close for your liking. You could feel the color draining from your face like paint peeling from a wall. A wash of nausea hit you at full force, almost knocking you off your feet. Your eyes searched for an escape plan as time slowed around you and there it was in, its full body guard glory.
“Max! I’m over here!” The suit-clad man popped his head out from the crowd of identically dressed cronies and a look of relief washed across his middle-aged face. He quickly rushed toward your position, parting Bucky from you like Moses had the red sea. The same relief grabbed hold of your face as his little squad surrounded you, escorting you to the studio.
“Miss. Y/N, You know you're not supposed to leave my sight! I’m supposed to make sure you stick to your schedule and you don't make it very easy” You pushed a chuckle from your lips as you peered over your shoulder to the super soldier frozen in the middle of the hallway.
“If it was easy, everyone would do it Max,” you once again tried to play along, struggling to gain any sort of emotional footing under you.
                                                        •••
You could feel them looking at you despite you being the only one in the studio. The downside to the plan you had concocted was you couldn't escape the gaggle of security placed on you. It was infuriating that you were an adult and yet, you still found yourself surrounded by babysitters. To be fair, you weren’t known to handle stress very well and seeing he was back, you now understand why you had Max and his friends glued to your side this morning.
You exited the studio a tad more relaxed than when you entered. Your shoulders dropped a bit lower and a small smile found itself upon your face. “Alright Max, whats next?”
“Miss. Y/N, your breakfast has been prepared downstairs. You only have 25 min-”
“Max, I’ve told you… I can fend for myself ok?” you sighed, a small smile still on your face because you knew he was well-intentioned. You were welcomed to the sight of a large, hearty breakfast consisting of an assortment of organic and nutritious delights. While you would have rather sported a doughnut this morning, you were thankful you had people who cared for you this much. “Ok Max, I need you to get lost and let me enjoy myself while I’m home ok? I know it's your job so how about you walk me to where I’m supposed to be? Fair?”
“Miss. Y/N, You know I’m not supp-”
“Come onnnnn, Max! Please!”
The exasperated whine apparently struck a chord on his heartstrings because he agreed to your terms if his team watched you on the cameras. You took your bowl full of fruit back to your room and collapsed on your wonderful, wonderful bed. Your phone vibrated in your pocket as you flipped on the tv.
Bucky: I didn't know you were going to be here...We should talk?
Your heart dropped into your stomach and even the small amount of fruit you consumed seemed to spoil in your stomach.
Well Fuck.

Ogre Battle (Joe! Deaky x Reader) FLUFF w/ a Sprinkle of SMUT!!
Tumblr media
Part 15 of The Queen Repertoire
WARNINGS: Cursing, mild smut, insinuation of domestic violence
Notes: Sorry this took so long it was ridiculously hard to come up with an idea for this song, and not to mention with what’s going on around the world I found it hard to find the mental energy to write. I’m doing better though and am planning to get stories up in a faster pace cuz lord knows  we need the distraction now more than ever. Stay safe and at home fam! Enjoy!
Come tonight Come to the ogre sight Come to the ogre-battle-fight
Not all heroes wear capes. I know that now.
My ex just left our flat fuming. The flat itself was a mess now, but it was nothing compared to me. My cheek stung from where he hit me and I was just... done. The phone rang as soon as he left. I tried to put on a brave, normal voice...but you can never lie to Freddie darling.
“Y/N what's wrong?” he asked.
“I-It's no—.”
“Lovey don't you dare say it's nothing. I can hear it in your voice something happened,” Freddie said. “Tell me.”
“Save me first then I'll tell you,” I said holding back tears. He and the other's knew my ex and I were having problems and that he wasn't always the loving type. So it didn't surprise me that Freddie knew just how bad things were with just that one little sentence.
“Pack your things lovey we're on our way,” he said.
It's been a few minutes. I packed my clothes haphazardly, and grabbed my box of records (what records were left after my ex took to smashing them against the wall). I waited by the door  grateful that my ex always spent a couple hours getting smashed at the pub.  Good for nothing drunken arsehole wanker. That's what they kept telling me but I never listened...just kept telling myself it wasn't true. God I'm such a bloody idiot.
I nearly jumped at the sound of a knocked at the door, a very furious knock. I opened it to see an enraged Freddie, being slightly held back by Brian who stood behind him with his hand on Freddie's shoulder. His hand slowly fell though when he saw my face.
“Where. Is. He?” Freddie said, fists balled.
“Not here,” I said turning to pick up my bag and box. As I did I left the door open revealing the mess left in the house.
“Jesus,” Roger gasped. “The prick is fucking mental!”
“Lovey, I will ask again, where the fuck is he?” Freddie asked again as John took my bag from me and Brian took my box.
“It's not worth it love,” I said closing the door behind me.
“LIKE HELL IT'S NOT NOW TELL ME WHERE THAT FUCKING WANKER IS BEFORE I TEAR ALL OF LONDON APART LOOKING FOR THE PIECE OF RUBBISH!”
“FRED!” I reached up and took his face in my hands. “I'm leaving him! Alright? I'm leaving...that's all that matters.”
“B-But he hurt you.”
“And it'll only hurt me worse if you got in trouble because of him,” I said. “Now can we please just go.”
Freddie cooled down a bit and we piled into Roger's van. We drove down to their flat where they escorted me to the 'guest room'. “Deaky isn't this your room?”
“You need it more than I do, love,” he said placing my bag down by the bed.
I walked over to it and collapsed. The lads just stood their awkwardly, as though waiting for a miracle to come and heal me right there on the mattress. “Well are you handsome bastards going to just stand there or am I not getting a cuddle tonight?”
With an eye roll Freddie moved to lay down beside me. John collapsed on the other side of me. Roger laid back by my feet at the foot of the bed. And Brian pulled up a nearby chair sitting in it with his long legs dangling over one of the arms.
I was surrounded by warmth and silence; the feeling so comforting I prayed I could stay like that for the rest of my life.
“Why can't all men be like you lot?” I asked not realizing I asked it aloud.
“Well then we wouldn't be so unique then would we?” Freddie said. “Besides can you imagine the chaos that would ensue if the world suddenly had more than one Roger Taylor?”
“As if one of me is so bad to be around,” Roger said. “Besides do you think a world with more than one Freddie would be any better?”
“Darling I don't think...I know,” Freddie said cheekily.
I rolled my eyes and pecked Freddie on the cheek. “I love you, you crazy bunch of nutters.”
We laid there together for what felt like a peaceful eternity.
“What do you suppose that pathetic waste of space is doing now?” Roger asked.
I groaned. “Roger please...I don't want to think of him anymore. Not even to imagine him dying of alcohol poisoning in his spot at the pub.”
“So he's there then?” Roger perked up.
“Proper smashed I'd bet,” Freddie said sitting up. “Lad's why don't we have ourselves a little fun showing that ogre piece of shite just how it feels to be on the other side of  the fist.”
“OH FUCK YEAH!” Roger stood up and ran to get his coat.
“Freddie please!” I said grabbing him by his arm. “I don't want you getting hurt or imprisoned because of me!”
“Darling just seeing that mark on your face hurts me. Ergo I must show him that you can't hurt anyone of us without hurting all of us. Now he may walk away alive but I can guarantee he will suffer pain a million times worse than what he has inflicted upon you.” I'd never seen Freddie so furious before. It was scary but at the same time...
“I love you,” I said pecking him on the lips. “So you better come back to me or so help me I will never forgive you.”
“I will, darling,” he said. “I love you too.”
“And I will do everything I can to keep these nutters under control,” Brian said standing up from his chair. “I'll carry you over my shoulder if I have to you are not leaving that pub a murderer.”
“As if you could lift me with your twig arms,” Freddie said.
“Want to bet?” Brian said in his serious 'I'm-Not-Bullshitting-Here' voice.
“Deaky will you join us?” Freddie asked the man laying beside me.
“Um no, thank you, I'd rather spend the night with Y/N than in jail,” he said. “Besides I don't feel comfortable leaving her alone right now.”
I sighed. “Well thank God one of you has a brain.”
“Ahem,” Brian looked at me offended.
“Fine, thank God two of you have a brain,” I said laying back down. Brian smiled at that and left the room followed by Freddie.
Once they were gone I turned and placed my head on Deaky's chest.
“I don't deserve you guys,” I muttered.
“Yes, you do,” Deaky said wrapping his arms around me.
“No I—.”
“Y/N,” he lifted my chin up with his forefinger. “You deserve the world and so much more.”
I brought my hand up to play with the tips of his long hair. Deaky was always the kind and gentle soul in my life. The one who held my heart and cared for it when nobody else would. “I should've been with you.”
“What?”
“Back when that monster first came into my life I was a bit conflicted. Here I was with two choices; go with this new mysterious path or go with the one my heart always wanted. I chose wrong.” I looked up at his gentle eyes, his face soft with innocence and love. “I should have chosen you from the start, and spared myself the horridly wasted time with that ogre...I choose you now...if you'll have me.”
“Y/N,” he said brushing my cheek with his fingers. They were rough and calloused but gentle as they touched me. “I chose you a long time ago. I will always choose you.”
I reached up and pressed my lips onto his. He kissed me back and after a while flipped us over. He peppered my lips and cheek with kisses before bringing his lips to the skin of my neck. He licked and sucked at my flesh, earning a moan from me. “Deeaaakkkkyyyy.”
He pulled back looking at me as though I was the only thing that existed for him at that moment. “I love you.”
“I love you too,” I said brushing my nose with his before our lips collided again.
Life with my ex was never like this. With Deaky I could breathe, and relax, my body melts into his, and my heart...my heart only beats for him. Making love with my ex was also never like this. Deaky was gentle touching me and taking his time; he made sure my comfort was a priority and not his satisfaction.
His hand snaked underneath my shirt nudging it upward. I pulled back and nodded letting him lift the material over my head. He tossed it aside and looked down. He gasped and I knew he'd seen them; yellow patches that used to be bruises decorating my stomach.
“H-He always had to have his way,” I said.
Deaky sighed and brought his lips to one of the patches. He kissed each one as though that was all it would take to heal them fully, and erase the painful memory. Soon after we continued ridding each other of clothing. Deaky might have been a thin and slender lad but that didn't reflect in his length which was a size other men could only dream of.
I moaned  loudly as he pushed into me. “God! Christ!”
“You feel fucking amazing love,” Deaky groaned as he started to move.
I really had chosen wrong but I was now making up for that mistake. Our bodies moved together in perfect rhythm as I knew they would for the rest of our lives. Sometime later, our skin glistening with sweat Deaky erupted inside me, filling me until he had nothing left.
“You are my life now, Deaky,” I whispered snuggling up to him after.
“You've always been my life, Y/N,” he said pressing his lips against my forehead.
We fell asleep and didn't even hear when our warriors returned from the great ogre battle.
“Dammit Freddie you're never wrong,” I heard Roger whisper.
“About love I'm never am,” Freddie said. “You can pay me in the morning. I'm off to bed.”
“I'm never betting against Fred again,” Roger said.
“I never do,” Brian chimed in laughing his soft and gentle laughed.
Eventually the flat was silent, as is every moment after a battle.

Questionable Relationship Status
Tumblr media
Pairing: Ashton Irwin x Reader
Words: 2400+
Author’s Note: I’ve been dying to write for Ashton again, especially after meeting him and I had a prompt I planned to use with him. Thank you to my lovely friend @h0tsos for providing me with this cute ass idea! I hope it turned out okay xox ALSO THANKS TO STEFF (h0tsos) FOR MAKING THIS GIF FOR ME
"Ash! Where's your hoodie?" I yelled from the bunk area as I shift through the clothes in his bag. A chuckle was heard from the other room before Ashton walks into the back.
"What do you need my hoodie for?" He asked and I glanced towards him to see a dimpled smile on his face.
A huff escapes my lips as I stand up straight, turning to face him. "I'm cold," I pouted and he giggles, his hand reaching for the same exact hoodie I have.
"Your hoodie's right here?" Ashton questions with his eyebrow raised.
"Yeah," I draw out, crossing my arms over my chest and look to my feet, "but yours is baggy and it smells like you."
Ashton rolls his eyes and reached into his bunk to grab the black 5SOS hoodie before tossing it to me. "You're so lucky I love you," he laughs while shaking his head, stepping back out into the living area.
"I love you!" I call out with a giggle. I threw the hoodie over my head, slinging my arms through before hugging myself.
I inhale deeply, smelling Ash's cologne on the clothing and my heart flutters. I always loved the way he smelled. It smells like home. I walked out of the bunk area, seeing the boys on their phones.
Ashton's sat on the couch, his legs spread wide and I head towards him. His hazel eyes meet mine to which he smiles softly. "You look cute," he grins and I give him a cheesy grin before moving to lay in between his legs.
I rest my head against his chest and rest my eyes as Ash's long fingers comb through my hair. A content sigh comes from my nose as my arm wraps around his waist.
The drummer could feel his mate's eyes on him and he looks up from his phone, seeing Luke looking at him with a confused look on his face. "What?" Ashton asked with furrowed eyebrows and Luke let out a short chuckle while shaking his head.
"Nothing," he starts and motions his head towards me, "she been doing good being away from home?"
Ashton glances down at me as I stay silent, listening to their conversation. I nuzzle my face a bit, tucking my hand under his back. "She's been doing good, surprisingly. I'm really glad she's here with us," he smiles softly and Luke nods his head with a smile.
"Yeah, she’s certainly keeping us intact," Luke laughs and Ashton joins in. I couldn't help but smile a bit before biting on my bottom lip.
-
Ashton and I were on the tour bus as everyone else had made their way into the venue we were at. I sat on his lap, my legs on either side of him as my hands comb through his hair.
"You feeling okay, bub?" I ask quietly and Ash moves his hands to my waist, nodding his head slowly. I frowned a bit, continuing to comb my fingers through his hair.
"Y/N, sweetheart, I'm okay. Just having an off day. I'll be fine," he mumbles and opens his hazel eyes to look at me. "You don't need to worry about me."
His hands move up my back and I sigh, shaking my head. "I may not need to, but I do," I tell him and he gives me a soft smile.
Ashton runs his hands up my back before his fingers find their way into my hair. "You're so amazing, you know that?" He asked me and I shrugged a bit, giggling.
"Hey, I try to be." More giggles leave my lips before the brunette pushes my face closer to his. My breath catches in my throat as our foreheads rest upon each other, sitting in comfortable silence.
The door to the tour bus opened and I turn my head to see Luke standing on the stairs, his blue eyes set on the two of us. I give him a small smile and glanced back at Ash to see his eyes were closed again, his hands ran up and down my back.
"Everything alright?" Luke asks and I watch Ashton open his eyes, looking towards his best mate.
"Yeah, everything's good," Ash smiles before he taps the side of my thigh, motioning for me to get up.
I slide off his lap, laying back on the couch as Ashton moves to gather his things from the back. Calum piles into the bus after Luke moved towards the table in the kitchen area.
"So," Luke starts, gaining both mine and Cal's attention, "are you guys dating or?” The blonde asks and I furrow my eyebrows together,
"Me and Ashton? No, we're not dating," I inform him and Calum lets out a laugh. "What?!" A laugh leaves my lips as I look between the two boys.
"There's just no way the two of you aren't dating. You two are all over each other all the time, like, not in a best friend kind of way," Calum speaks up for Luke and the blonde nods his head, pointing towards his bandmate.
“Well, believe it you two. I would know if Ashton and I were dating and we aren’t… unfortunately,” I barely whispered the last part, looking down at my hands as they fiddled with each other.
Calum moved to sit beside me and I sit up, looking over at the blue-haired man. “Look, I know you’ve got the hots for my best friend and I’m telling you that you should go for it,” he mentions and I scoff, shaking my head. “I’m serious. You two are on the verge of dating anyway. I’m surprised the two of you haven’t kissed yet.”
“You really think so?” I ask quietly, glancing towards him as he smiled, nodding his head. I nibble on my bottom lip, my eyes moving towards the bunk area where Ashton currently was, hearing him roaming around.
“Go get ‘em,” Calum whispers and smacks my leg.
I could hear Calum and Luke exit the bus as I peeked into the bunk area, seeing Ashton looking at the various jumpsuits lying on the table. "Need help deciding?" I tease and Ash jumps a bit, turning his head back to look at me.
"Yeah, that'd be great," he laughs and I walk into the area. The drummer drapes his arm over my shoulder as I stand beside him, looking down at the four jumpsuits. "Which one is your favorite?"
"The green one," I answered immediately and Ash chuckled. I giggle, glancing up at the brunette. "What?! You asked and I answered."
"I know, I know. I guess I didn't expect you to answer so quickly," he tells me and I shrug my shoulders.
"I'm gonna be honest. You look fucking great in the jumpsuits. They suit you really well," I confessed and could feel my cheeks heat up.
Ashton and I's eyes met and I blushed, even more, seeing the adoration in his hazel eyes. "God, you're so fucking incredible. I don't know what I did to deserve you," he mumbled quietly and my heart flutters.
"I think it's the other way around, Ash," I whispered and he shakes his head.
"Nope. Not a chance," he grins and I roll my eyes before wrapping my arms around his waist, resting my head on his chest.
Ashton's arms wrapped around my neck, holding me close to him as we stood in silence. "Wanna know something funny?" I asked, feeling my heart pound against my chest and he hummed in response. "Luke, uh, Luke asked me if we were dating."
He pulled away from me, his hands on my shoulders as his eyebrows were furrowed in confusion. "What? He did?" I nod my head slightly, biting my lip.
"Yeah. I guess we're very friendly with each other," I chuckled nervously as my fingers fiddled with his shirt.
Ashton's eyes roamed over my face as he didn't say anything, the tension becoming too much. I cleared my throat, needing to get away from him as nothing but negative thought came to my mind.
I drop my hands from his waist, tucking strands of hair behind my ear before walking out of the bunk area. I couldn't stop the tears coming to my eyes, quickly opening the door to the tour bus to get outside.
"Wait, Y/N!" Ashton calls out and I halt my movements, turning around to see the drummer bust through the door. I cross my arms over my chest and look at my feet, hearing his footsteps become closer. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry I didn't say anything. I just… I didn't realize that my affection for you was so loud. I-I'm not sure how you feel about me because a lot of the times I thought you were just being really friendly and-"
"Ash," I cut him off, speaking softly and takes a step towards him. "I like you, a lot. Cal was actually the one that told me to go for it so I brought up what Luke had said because it made me realize just how close we are."
Ashton lets out a breath of relief, lifting his hand so his palm lays against the apple of my cheek. I give him a small smile, leaning into his touch and he leans forward to press our foreheads against each other again. “We have a day off tomorrow and we should be in DC by the time we wake up. Would you want to get some breakfast? Or brunch?” He asks and I nod my head.
“I’d love that, Ashton.”
He smiles widely, his fingers combing through my hair as he reduces the distance between us, our lips colliding with one another. My hands move to his torso, gripping his shirt as I move my lips against his. Ashton was about to deepen the kiss, running his tongue along my bottom lip when a few screams came from behind him. The two of us pull away from each other and I jump slightly. Both of us glance over his shoulders to see a few fans standing by the fence, waving at us.
“Hey, guys,” Ashton giggles and I hide my face in his chest.
“Are you guys finally together?” One asked and he glanced down at me for a quick second before answering.
“We are. I finally decided to gather some balls and ask her out.”
-
The show was fucking incredible, as usual, and I found myself sitting on the couch in the tour bus while waiting for the guys. I managed to take a nice hot shower without getting interrupted by anyone, which doesn’t happen often, to be honest. The door opens and the boys file into the spacious bus.
Each one of them gives me a smile and Ashton walks towards me as soon as he closed the door. “Hey, beautiful,” he whispered before kissing my forehead. He sits on beside me as I stand up, taking advantage of the couch being empty and sprawls out onto it.
I went into the back to get my phone charger, coming back out to see Ashton taking the entire couch. “Really? I was gone for like, a minute,” I giggled and slapped my hands against my legs.
“You also missed me making an Instagram story,” he adds and I shake my head, walking towards him before laying directly on top of him. “Alright, sure, you can lay here.”
“Well, you shouldn’t have taken my seat then,” I joked and rest my chin against the back of my hands, looking up at him. I glance back towards Calum as he sits across from us and the two other boys are scrounging the cupboards and fridge.
I watched as he took out his phone, tapping a few times before he began talking. “Hey, boys and lady,” he greets and pans the camera towards Ash and me.
“Watch my story,” Ash comments, looking at the blue-haired lad and I make a scrunched up face for the camera before bringing my eyes back to Ashton.
“You’re an egghead,” Cal mentions and a laugh leaves my lips.
“You skipped my shit.”
“Your head looks like an egg,” Calum laughs and Ashton makes a face to which Calum and I blurt out laughing and I hide my face into his chest.
Luke joined Calum on the couch across from us, scrolling through his phone as this situation became quite similar to the other day. Calum was making another story and he mumbled the word kawaii to Luke making the curly-haired boy lift his head and make a face at his friend. I shake my head, looking away from the two and glance back towards Ashton who already had his hazel eyes on me.
“Whatchu staring at?” I giggle and he shrugged his shoulders, a grin on his lips. He mumbles something incoherently before pressing a kiss to the top of my head.
“Hey, hey, wait,” Luke’s voice interrupts our moment and the two of us look towards the blonde. I hum in answer, seeing his eyebrows furrowed together. “I thought you guys weren’t dating?”
This question gained the attention of the other two, having all three bandmates looking at the two of us as Ashton wraps an arm around my lower back. “We weren’t until about seven hours ago,” Ash mentions and everyone’s lips parted in shock.
“Holy shit. Fucking finally,” Michael commented before tossing his plate into the sink, heading back into the bunk area. I giggle and rest my head against Ashton’s chest once more, feeling the exhaustion fill my body.
“Yeah, finally,” Cal mentioned with a smirk on his face, his honey-brown eyes dead set on me.
A laugh leaves my lips and rolls my eyes playfully. “Yeah, yeah, yeah, get used to it,” I tell them and Luke scoffs.
“We have been used to it. You two have been like this for months.”
“It’s not our fault we’re oblivious as fuck,” Ashton mumbles and I nod my head, agreeing with the drummer. “I’m just glad I don’t have to hide it anymore.”
I move my head, looking back up at him with a smile on my lips. He gives me a cheeky wink and I can feel my cheeks blush a bit. He leans his head forward, barely reaching my lips as he presses a feathery kiss to them.
Groans were heard from Calum and Luke and I giggle. “Alright, damn, we’re happy your together but don’t do that shit in front of us,” Cal comments and I shake my head.
“Fine, fine. We’ll just go in my bunk and makeout,” Ashton mentions and taps my ass cheek, signaling me to get up.
The two of us get up from the couch, his hand intertwining with mine as he leads us towards the bunks. “Night, boys!”
