The Seven theory time...maybe?
So I think The Seven, and us as viewers, have misconstrued the meaning of the name The End of All Things.
She is not The END of ALL Things
She is the End of All things
Meaning that she does not represent the destruction of the world, but the universal truth that all things must come to an end.
Relationships end. Friendships fade. Situations change. Something must end for a new beginning to arise.
So the first part of my theory is that The End of All Things and her sisters are some sort of primordial deifications of universal truths of this world. And smarter people than me can theorize about what other truths her sisters might be.
And the second part of my theory is this...
It has been established that both Antiope and Sam have a connection to this entity from casting spells on or around the mirror. But the reason that it was specified that ONLY Antiope saw her at the end of Ep 2 was because, by giving a soft yes to the internship, Antiope was setting in motion a chain of events that will effectively lead to the end of The Seven as they stand now. Nothing as grandiose as their deaths, but a change, a dissolution of their current status quo.
There was a lot of talk this episode about change, and several of the girls are very scared of it. They are holding on very tightly to this group, and to their friends, and what the party represents for them. They do not want to imagine their lives without The Seven. And as characters who are essentially just teenagers getting ready to graduate high school and are being shoved into so-called adulthood, they aren't ready yet to take off the training wheels.
So I essentially think that The End of All Things is absolutely NOT a villain. I think she will facilitate the girls is realizing that its okay that things end and change and evolve. And that they are each strong enough to take their next steps, whatever those happen to be.
