I have a theory that all the writers comic books end up in one world. I think when one book ends it kind of starts the characters in different roles and plot. Think about it...

If a writer and comic artist (and their team) work together again it is easier for the comic artist to draw in the same style they've done before. It's also easy for the readers to follow along because they get used to the comic artist style with a certain writer. Or the writer is also the comic artist as well.

Maybe this is why Dan-O can remember Ha-Roo so well because in another story they where the main character. I mean Dan-O has joked in a episode she was probably once a princess in her other life and Ha-Roo another episode while on their school field trip asked her if some of the historical places looked familiar. He also knew some of the areas of the woods and Dan-O couldn't understand why the woods where so detailed (in kdrama historical dramas always fall in some village near a forest).

My theory is Dan-O was a historical princess and Ha-Roo was her prince in a historical comic. Maybe in their other story Dan-O and Ha-Roo also figured out once the comic ends they would start a whole knew life in secret where they don't know each other, so he gave himself the scare to remember her.

And this is also why Ha-Roo can't figure out why his life started with Dan-O and why he isn't a main character (I also think it's why he can play the flute and when the comic is not in scene he's still this quite yet strong prince character).

Maybe this is also why in this scenario, Dan-O starts feel everything seemed off, because in her "other life" she was the main character with this bold personality (the personality she shows in secret when their not on scene) and was used to the story evolving around her but something was missing and that was her protagonist.

Also, I believe the writer has a soft spot for her (even though they tried to kill her with her disease) because of how rich and yet likable they made her. They also made her story so depth compare to other extras in the comic. With a dead mother, the side story of her family wealth, and her crush on Kyung. Also, as much as she is submissive to Kyung she still doesn't talk in catchphrases like the other extras.

Another theory is, Dan-O story never was published and the writers scratched her story with 'secret'. Since, High school dramas are more favored and maybe the publishers wanted another scenario. So instead of making whole knew characters they changed the plot and Ha- Roo realized it so he made the scare hoping Dan-O remembers him. Because they probably found the book in the first comic the historical comic and realized he's not written in it.

Update: Ha-Roo officially was a historical prince with A'sing history, painting like if he's from a different area, and prince like personality.
