The end-to-end encrypted communication app WhatsApp, used by roughly 3 billion people around the world, will roll out cloud-based AI capabilities in the coming weeks that are designed to preserve WhatsApp’s defining security and privacy guarantees while offering users access to message summarization and composition tools.
Meta has been incorporating generative AI features across its services that are built on its open source large language model, Llama. And WhatsApp already incorporates a light blue circle that gives users access to the Meta AI assistant. But many users have balked at this addition, given that interactions with the AI assistant aren’t shielded from Meta the way end-to-end encrypted WhatsApp chats are. The new feature, dubbed Private Processing, is meant to address these concerns with what the company says is a carefully architected and purpose-built platform devoted to processing data for AI tasks without the information being accessible to Meta, WhatsApp, or any other party. While initial reviews by researchers of the scheme’s integrity have been positive, some note that the move toward AI features could ultimately put WhatsApp on a slippery slope.
“WhatsApp is targeted and looked at by lots of different researchers and threat actors. That means internally it has a well understood threat model,” says Meta security engineering director Chris Rohlf. “There's also an existing set of privacy expectations from users, so this wasn’t just about managing the expansion of that threat model and making sure the expectations for privacy and security were met—it was about careful consideration of the user experience and making this opt-in.”
End-to-end encrypted communications are only accessible to the sender and receiver, or the people in a group chat. The service provider, in this case WhatsApp and its parent company Meta, is boxed out by design and can’t access users’ messages or calls. This setup is incompatible with typical generative AI platforms that run large language models on cloud servers and need access to users’ requests and data for processing. The goal of Private Processing is to create an alternate framework through which the privacy and security guarantees of end-to-end encrypted communication can be upheld while incorporating AI.
Users opt into using WhatsApp’s AI features, and they can also prevent people they’re chatting with from using the AI features in shared communications by turning on a new WhatsApp control known as “Advanced Chat Privacy.”
“When the setting is on, you can block others from exporting chats, auto-downloading media to their phone, and using messages for AI features,” WhatsApp wrote in a blog post last week. Like disappearing messages, anyone in a chat can turn Advanced Chat Privacy on and off—which is recorded for all to see—so participants just need to be mindful of any adjustments.
Private Processing is built with special hardware that isolates sensitive data in a “Trusted Execution Environment,” a siloed, locked-down region of a processor. The system is built to process and retain data for the minimum amount of time possible and is designed grind to a halt and send alerts if it detects any tampering or adjustments. WhatsApp is already inviting third-party audits of different components of the system and will make it part of the Meta bug bounty program to encourage the security community to submit information about flaws and potential vulnerabilities. Meta also says that, ultimately, it plans to make the components of Private Processing open source, both for expanded verification of its security and privacy guarantees and to make it easier for others to build similar services.
Last year, Apple debuted a similar scheme, known as Private Cloud Compute, for its Apple Intelligence AI platform. And users can turn the service on in Apple’s end-to-end encrypted communication app, Messages, to generate message summaries and compose “Smart Reply” messages on both iPhones and Macs.
Looking at Private Cloud Compute and Private Processing side by side is like comparing, well, Apple(s) and oranges, though. Apple’s Private Cloud Compute underpins all of Apple Intelligence everywhere it can be applied. Private Processing, on the other hand, was purpose-built for WhatsApp and doesn’t underpin Meta’s AI features more broadly. Apple Intelligence is also designed to do as much AI processing as possible on-device and only send requests to the Private Cloud Compute infrastructure when necessary. Since such “on device” or “local” processing requires powerful hardware, Apple only designed Apple Intelligence to run at all on its recent generations of mobile hardware. Old iPhones and iPads will never support Apple Intelligence.
Apple is a manufacturer of high-end smartphones and other hardware, while Meta is a software company, and has about 3 billion users who have all types of smartphones, including old and low-end devices. Rohlf and Colin Clemmons, one of the Private Processing lead engineers, say that it wasn’t feasible to design AI features for WhatsApp that could run locally on the spectrum of devices WhatsApp serves. Instead, WhatsApp focused on designing Private Processing to be as unhelpful as possible to attackers if it were to be breached.
“The design is one of risk minimization,” Clemmons says. “We want to minimize the value of compromising the system.”
The whole effort raises a more basic question, though, about why a secure communication platform like WhatsApp needs to offer AI features at all. Meta is adamant, though, that users expect the features at this point and will go wherever they have to to get them.
“Many people want to use AI tools to help them when they are messaging,” WhatsApp head Will Cathcart told WIRED in an email. “We think building a private way to do that is important, because people shouldn’t have to switch to a less-private platform to have the functionality they need.”
“Any end-to-end encrypted system that uses off-device AI inference is going to be riskier than a pure end to end system. You’re sending data to a computer in a data center, and that machine sees your private texts,” says Matt Green, a Johns Hopkins cryptographer who previewed some of the privacy guarantees of Private Processing, but hasn’t audited the complete system. “I believe WhatsApp when they say that they’ve designed this to be as secure as possible, and I believe them when they say that they can’t read your texts. But I also think there are risks here. More private data will go off device, and the machines that process this data will be a target for hackers and nation state adversaries.”
WhatsApp says, too, that beyond basic AI features like text summarization and writing suggestions, Private Processing will hopefully create a foundation for expanding into more complicated and involved AI features in the future that involve processing, and potentially storing, more data.
As Green puts it, “Given all the crazy things people use secure messengers for, any and all of this will make the Private Processing computers into a very big target.”

Introducing SavvyDissent
Friends, it's time (I'm sorry to say) to bring back the chain e-mail, the reply all, and the mass text. Security and safe use of the internet just became critical.
I hope you will (securely) spread it through your social circles in person, or by secured email or text.
We're all in shock from the election, and we're all wishing we could do something. Protests and resistance will increase over the next years. My hope, and my advice, is that we take the threat seriously. You (and I) are not overreacting; they tell us their plans. Trump promised at the beginning of this campaign way back in 2023 to overhaul the federal government into his personal bureaucracy. He specified that will include surveillance departments.
This is real, and it's critical to understand the the US is not immune to fascism and authoritarianism. American exceptionalism is a dangerous lie. With the technology we have now, the rise of fascism will look radically different that our historical imaginations conjure, and the administration will be very different than his 2016-2020 presidency.
The 2016 Trump was chaotic and vague, and even then he left destruction in his wake. Now, the far-right have had years to organize for a second Trump regime.
They have concrete plans they didn't have before. Trump is less coherent now, but he's surrounded by people with purpose and competence that in he didn't have in his first administration. His health is declining fast, and JD Vance is potentially even worse ideologically. The Trump administration will likely involve RFK, Jr. and Elon Musk, both of whom are extremely dangerous.
Audaciously, the richest man in the world has warned us to expect austerity. He's in a position to become Trump's propagandist (and has played the role already.)
The Heritage Foundation, an extreme Chisto-fascist organization, are the architects of this coming regime. Their agenda in Project 2025 should terrify us. One of my only sources of hope is that it seems Trump/MAGA are telling us their plans. That advantage is lost when we don't believe them.
We need to accept some harsh truths, and one of these is that social media is not the place for a resistance movement.
It is not our friend or ally; it is demonstrably dangerous. Learning this is part of the mission inherent in the popular phrase, "Don't obey in advance." Don't hand them your information. The CEOs of the major sites are collaborators--they helped manifest this outcome, and they've already demonstrated their willingness to help quell dissent (your photos are used in face-recognition software to identify protesters) and aid the police in hunting down and arresting abortion patients.
We have to rethink organizing, and we have to do it securely.
I must stress that Trump has included leftists (by which he means even moderate liberals and democrats) in his speech about "the enemy within." Even if we are white, Christian, cisgender, straight, and able-bodied, he has declared us the enemy.
Each of us has a decision to make. We either become publicly dissident--risking personal safety to a degree we can't know--or we wage our opposition in the safest way possible.
Social media? They're cops. If we are going to have any hope of staying safe and organizing, we must accept this truth.
We must assess the risk of posting our affiliations and circulate petitions and direct actions on the public web. Most of us are easily identified where data miners and AI can detect this information. For the most part, that's out there, permanently. When you delete an account, the company retains copies of your data.
I am not a security expert, but I have some beginner tips for safer communication.
● Download an end-to-end encrypted messenger app and stop using SMS texting and social media DMs. I recommend Signal or Discord, but would not trust WhatsApp, as it's owned by Meta.
● Look in to data removal services like DeleteMe or Incogni; these will help your reclaim as much of your data.
● Turn off your phone's location tracking.
● Install a VPN and sign up for a secured email. Proton Mail and storage are good; Gmail and Google Drive are the enemy. A VPN (virtual private network) hides your IP address that would otherwise out your location and other info.
● There are cheap anf free options for VPNs and you can find secure email free.
● Install TOR or other secured browsers. Chrome especially is a security nightmare. Incognito or private browsing on your regular browsers is not a safe option.
● Reject site cookies and use best practices for password security.
● Don't make plans online. Circulate information directly using these secure practices. If you volunteer or join protests or see calls to action on public social media, talk with the organizer to urge a move off social media.
● If you attend a protest, read into Black Bloc tactics for anonymity and health/safety, or at least wear a face-obscuring mask. Police have already used face-matching software to arrest protesters in the US.
● Speaking of masking, follow Covid protocols. Our health system will be gutted soon and any measures to prevent communicable disease are going to be on us. (Vaccines could be banned; the CDC eroded even further.) There are dangerous flu strains as well- please take precautions.
● Disable face recognition or thumbprint logins on your phone. Currently the cops are allowed to use these to access your phone, but they can't force you to give them the PIN or pattern drawing. Be aware that could change.
● If you are trans, discuss privacy concerns with your doctor.
● Along that vein, if you're seeking an autism diagnosis *and your level of support needs can be met without it* rethink having your neurodivergence documented. The fate of disabled folks is precarious, and authoritarian/fascist movements are dangerous for us. I'm not sure if ADHD or other neurotypes are at risk, but there is historical precedence for autistics and other divergent people to be targeted.
● Protect each other: Do not out trans, queer, racialized, or any other vulnerable people in your friends groups. Note that includes any pregnant person--Whether you're excited your best friend is having another baby or your kid sister is late for her period, keep that offline. (For the love of all that's holy delete your period trackers.)
● If you know travel plans for someone to travel or move to a safer blue state, you shut the fuck up about it.
If you have further knowledge about privacy and security, add it when you forward this to friends.
I'm planning for this to become an anonymous zine/newsletter where we can distribute info under-the-radar communications network. To opt in to occasional newsletter posts,
email "add me" to [email protected], visit tumblr.com/savvydissent message via Discord or Telegram @savvydissent
Print & distribute on paper.
Share this with your contacts, and circulate it safely. Please message me to share any direct actions, mutual aid organizing, or any relevant info you want to spread. Please take good care of yourself.

Best crime and thrillers of 2023
Given this year’s headlines, it’s unsurprising that our appetite for cosy crime continues unabated, with the latest title in Richard Osman’s Thursday Murder Club series, The Last Devil to Die (Viking), topping the bestseller lists. Janice Hallett’s novels The Mysterious Case of the Alperton Angels, which also features a group of amateur crime-solvers, and The Christmas Appeal (both Viper) have proved phenomenally popular, too.
Hallett’s books, which are constructed as dossiers – transcripts, emails, WhatsApp messages and the like – are part of a growing trend of experimentation with form, ranging from Cara Hunter’s intricate Murder in the Family (HarperCollins), which is structured around the making of a cold case documentary, to Gareth Rubin’s tête-bêche The Turnglass (Simon & Schuster). Books that hark back to the golden age of crime, such as Tom Mead’s splendidly tricksy locked-room mystery Death and the Conjuror (Head of Zeus), are also on the rise. The late Christopher Fowler, author of the wonderful Bryant & May detective series, who often lamented the sacrifice of inventiveness and fun on the altar of realism, would surely have approved. Word Monkey (Doubleday), published posthumously, is his funny and moving memoir of a life spent writing popular fiction.
Notable debuts include Callum McSorley’s Glaswegian gangland thriller Squeaky Clean (Pushkin Vertigo); Jo Callaghan’s In the Blink of an Eye (Simon & Schuster), a police procedural with an AI detective; Scorched Grace by Margot Douaihy (Pushkin Vertigo), featuring queer punk nun investigator Sister Holiday; and the caustically funny Thirty Days of Darkness (Orenda) by Jenny Lund Madsen (translated from the Danish by Megan E Turney).
There have been welcome additions to series, including a third book, Case Sensitive (Zaffre), for AK Turner’s forensic investigator Cassie Raven, and a second, The Wheel of Doll (Pushkin Vertigo), for Jonathan Ames’s LA private eye Happy Doll, who is shaping up to be the perfect hardboiled 21st-century hero.
Other must-reads for fans of American crime fiction include Ozark Dogs (Headline) by Eli Cranor, a powerful story of feuding Arkansas families; SA Cosby’s Virginia-set police procedural All the Sinners Bleed (Headline); Megan Abbott’s nightmarish Beware the Woman (Virago); and Rebecca Makkai’s foray into very dark academia, I Have Some Questions for You (Fleet). There are shades of James Ellroy in Jordan Harper’s Hollywood-set tour de force Everybody Knows (Faber), while Raymond Chandler’s hero Philip Marlowe gets a timely do-over from Scottish crime doyenne Denise Mina in The Second Murderer (Harvill Secker).
As Mick Herron observed in his Slow Horses origin novel, The Secret Hours (Baskerville), there’s a long list of spy novelists who have been pegged as the heir to John le Carré. Herron must be in pole position for principal legatee, but it’s been a good year for espionage generally: standout novels include Matthew Richardson’s The Scarlet Papers (Michael Joseph), John Lawton’s Moscow Exile (Grove Press) and Harriet Crawley’s The Translator (Bitter Lemon).
Historical crime has also been well served. Highlights include Emma Flint’s excellent Other Women (Picador), based on a real 1924 murder case; Laura Shepherd-Robinson’s story of a fortune teller’s quest for identity in Georgian high society, The Square of Sevens (Mantle); and SG MacLean’s tale of Restoration revenge and retribution, The Winter List (Quercus). There are echoes of Chester Himes in Viper’s Dream (No Exit) by Jake Lamar, which begins in 1930s Harlem, while Palace of Shadows (Mantle) by Ray Celestin, set in the late 19th century, takes the true story of American weapons heiress Sarah Winchester’s San Jose mansion and transports it to Yorkshire, with chillingly gothic results.
The latest novel in Vaseem Khan’s postcolonial India series, Death of a Lesser God (Hodder), is also well worth the read, as are Deepti Kapoor’s present-day organised crime saga Age of Vice (Fleet) and Parini Shroff’s darkly antic feminist revenge drama The Bandit Queens (Atlantic).
While psychological thrillers are thinner on the ground than in previous years, the quality remains high, with Liz Nugent’s complex and heartbreaking tale of abuse, Strange Sally Diamond (Penguin Sandycove), and Sarah Hilary’s disturbing portrait of a family in freefall, Black Thorn (Macmillan), being two of the best.
Penguin Modern Classics has revived its crime series, complete with iconic green livery, with works by Georges Simenon, Dorothy B Hughes and Ross MacDonald. There have been reissues by other publishers, too – forgotten gems including Celia Fremlin’s 1959 holiday‑from-hell novel, Uncle Paul (Faber), and Richard Wright’s The Man Who Lived Underground (Vintage). Finished in 1942 but only now published in its entirety, the latter is an account of an innocent man who takes refuge from racist police officers in the sewers of Chicago – part allegorical, part brutally realistic and, unfortunately, wholly topical.
Daily inspiration. Discover more photos at Just for Books…?

Top Phishing Scams and How to Protect Against Them in 2025
It's June 2025, and while the digital world continues to advance at breakneck speed, so too do the tactics of cybercriminals. Phishing, the art of tricking individuals into revealing sensitive information or performing malicious actions, remains the single most common entry point for cyberattacks. Gone are the days of easily spotted typos and poorly designed emails; today's phishing attempts are sophisticated, personalized, and disturbingly effective, often powered by advanced technologies like AI.
The New Faces of Deception: Top Phishing Scams in 2025
Phishing isn't just about email anymore. Attackers are diversifying their channels and leveraging cutting-edge technology.
AI-Driven Voice Cloning Scams (Vishing/Deepfake Audio): This is perhaps the most alarming trend. Cybercriminals are using AI to clone voices with uncanny accuracy. You might receive an urgent call from what sounds exactly like your CEO, a family member, or a close colleague, demanding an immediate wire transfer or urgent action. These deepfake audio attacks are incredibly hard to detect without extreme caution.
The Lure: Emotional manipulation, urgency, and the apparent authenticity of a trusted voice.
Sophisticated Multi-Channel Phishing (Smishing, Quishing, and Beyond):
Smishing (SMS Phishing): Text messages impersonating banks, parcel delivery services (e.g., "Your package has a pending fee, click here to resolve"), or even government agencies are highly common. Links often lead to fake login pages.
Quishing (QR Code Phishing): As QR codes become ubiquitous, scammers embed malicious QR codes into emails, posters, physical flyers, or even seemingly legitimate documents. Scanning them can lead to phishing sites or malware downloads.
Social Media & Collaboration Platform Phishing: Attacks aren't confined to email or SMS. Scammers are actively using platforms like WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Slack, and Microsoft Teams to impersonate colleagues, IT support, or trusted brands to gain your trust and steal credentials or information.
AI-Generated Phishing Emails with Flawless Grammar and Personalization: The days of phishing emails being betrayed by obvious grammatical errors are largely over. Generative AI enables cybercriminals to craft highly convincing, personalized emails that mimic legitimate communications with alarming accuracy. They might analyze your public social media profiles or past communications to make the email seem even more credible.
The Lure: Perfect language, contextually relevant content, and precise impersonation of known entities.
Credential Phishing for Cloud Services: With almost everyone using cloud platforms like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or various SaaS applications, credential theft remains a primary goal. Attackers create extremely realistic fake login pages for these services, hoping you'll enter your username and password, giving them direct access to your accounts.
The Lure: Mimicking trusted login portals for services you use daily.
MFA Fatigue Attacks: Attackers repeatedly send multi-factor authentication (MFA) push notifications to your device at odd hours, hoping you'll eventually approve one out of frustration or exhaustion. Once approved, they gain access.
The Lure: Annoyance and the human tendency to want to stop repeated notifications.
Employment Scams & Headhunter Phishing: Targeting job seekers, these scams offer fake job opportunities via email or social media. They might ask for personal information early in the process or demand fees for "training" or "background checks."
The Lure: The excitement of a new opportunity and the desire for employment.
Your Shield in 2025: How to Protect Yourself
The key to defense in 2025 is a combination of skepticism, smart tech habits, and continuous awareness.
Verify Before You Click, Respond, or Act:
Always Confirm Requests: If you receive an urgent request (especially financial or sensitive data-related) via email, text, or even a call, do not act on it within that channel. Verify it independently using a known, trusted method (e.g., call the person back on their known phone number, use an official company communication channel you trust).
Inspect URLs Carefully: Before clicking a link, hover over it (on desktop) or long-press (on mobile) to reveal the actual URL. Look for subtle misspellings, extra words, or unusual domains. Even if it has "HTTPS," the site itself could be malicious.
Question Unexpected Communications: If you weren't expecting an email, text, or call, be immediately suspicious. Does it match the sender's usual behavior? Is the timing strange?
Enable and Harden Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA):
Use MFA Everywhere: Enable MFA on all your important accounts (email, banking, social media, cloud services).
Prioritize Phishing-Resistant MFA: Where possible, opt for app-based authenticators (like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator) or physical security keys (like YubiKey) over SMS-based MFA, which can be vulnerable to SIM-swapping. MFA is a critical barrier, even if your password is stolen.
Think Context, Not Just Grammar:
Be Skeptical of AI-Generated Content: Assume that flawless grammar and perfect branding can still be a scam. Focus on the context of the message. Is it asking for something unusual? Is it trying to create panic or urgency?
Don't Fall for Urgency/Threats: Scammers thrive on emotional manipulation. Messages that threaten immediate account closure, legal action, or massive fines are almost always scams.
Keep All Software Updated:
Patch Relentlessly: Ensure your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux), web browsers, antivirus software, and all applications are always updated to the latest versions. Updates often include critical security patches against known vulnerabilities.
Invest in Robust Security Software:
Use reputable antivirus and anti-malware solutions with real-time scanning capabilities.
Consider advanced email security solutions that use AI to detect sophisticated phishing attempts before they reach your inbox.
Regular Security Awareness Training (for everyone!):
Organizations should conduct frequent, interactive security awareness training sessions and phishing simulations. This helps build "muscle memory" for identifying and reporting suspicious activity.
Report Suspected Phishing:
If you spot a phishing attempt, report it to your IT department (if at work), your email provider, or relevant authorities. You can report cybercrimes. This helps others and contributes to tracking malicious actors.
Phishing will continue to be a dominant threat in 2025 and beyond. By understanding the latest tactics and adopting a proactive, skeptical mindset, you can significantly reduce your risk of becoming a victim. Stay informed, stay vigilant, and stay safe online!

Understanding the Power of Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Have you ever wondered how your phone understands your voice when you say “Ok Google” or how Google Translate converts Hindi sentences into English in just a few seconds? Or how do chatbots on shopping websites answer your queries in real-time? The secret behind all these smart actions is a powerful technology called Natural Language Processing, or NLP.
NLP is one of the most exciting and useful branches of Artificial Intelligence (AI). It focuses on helping computers understand, interpret, and respond to human language — just like we do when we talk to each other.
For Indian users who use multiple languages daily, NLP plays a big role in making technology more accessible and user-friendly. Let’s dive deep into how NLP works, why it matters, and how it’s changing our everyday lives in India.
What is Natural Language Processing (NLP)?
Natural Language Processing is a field of computer science and AI that teaches machines to understand human language — whether it’s spoken or written. Just like humans learn grammar, meaning, and tone in a language, NLP helps machines do the same.
The interesting part is that NLP doesn’t just focus on English. It can be used for any language — Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, or even Hinglish! This makes it especially important for a multilingual country like India.
NLP combines two major areas: linguistics (the science of language) and computer science (the science of programming and algorithms). When combined, they help computers read, listen, and even respond to humans in a meaningful way.
NLP may sound magical, but behind the scenes, it’s a mix of smart techniques and clever algorithms. Let’s break it down step-by-step in a way that’s easy to understand.
Text or Speech Input: First, the system needs input. This could be anything from a typed sentence, a voice command, or even a WhatsApp message.
Language Processing: The system breaks the sentence into small parts (called tokens). For example, the sentence “I want to buy a new phone” becomes [“I”, “want”, “to”, “buy”, “a”, “new”, “phone”].
Understanding Meaning: Then it tries to understand the meaning of these words and how they relate to each other. It checks grammar, context, and even the tone.
Responding Intelligently: Based on the meaning, it gives a smart response. This could be a reply in a chatbot, a translation, a voice command action, or a search result.
Behind each of these steps, there are many complex tools like Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning, and Neural Networks. But don’t worry, the beauty of NLP is that users never have to worry about how complicated it is — they just see the result!
Where Do We See NLP in Everyday Life in India?
You might be surprised to know that you’re already using NLP many times a day without even realizing it. Here are some examples that are very relatable for Indian users:
Voice Assistants like Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant that understand Hindi and regional languages.
Language Translation Apps like Google Translate, help you understand foreign languages or even help tourists in India communicate with locals.
Customer Support Chatbots on websites like IRCTC, Paytm, Swiggy, and Flipkart handle thousands of queries daily in multiple languages.
Speech-to-Text Typing tools that convert your voice into text when sending WhatsApp messages or writing notes.
Social Media Platforms that detect hate speech or filter out abusive content automatically.
With the rise of digital India, mobile penetration, and the use of local languages online, NLP has become more relevant than ever.
Challenges of NLP in the Indian Context
While NLP has come a long way, it’s still not perfect — especially in India, where things get tricky due to the diversity of languages and dialects.
Multiple Languages and Scripts: India has 22 official languages and hundreds of dialects. Plus, many people write in Hindi using the English script (Hinglish), like “Aap kya kar rahe ho?”. This makes it hard for computers to understand.
Code-Switching: Indian people often mix two or more languages in one sentence. For example, “Mujhe ek coffee chahiye, please.” NLP tools need to be smart enough to understand this mix.
Accents and Pronunciations: Speech-based NLP struggles with Indian accents and pronunciations. Words like “data” may be pronounced differently in Delhi and Chennai!
Lack of Quality Datasets: To train an NLP system, a lot of language data is needed. For many Indian languages, this data is still limited or not well organized.
Despite these challenges, many Indian startups and global tech companies are working to improve NLP models for Indian users. With the support of AI researchers and local developers, the progress is promising.
The Future of NLP in India
The good news is that NLP is improving rapidly, and its impact in India is only going to grow. Here’s what we can expect in the coming years:
Better Language Support: More apps will support Indian regional languages for voice commands, customer service, and news reading.
Smart Education Tools: Students will be able to learn in their mother tongue through AI tutors powered by NLP.
Healthcare and Legal Support: Patients in rural areas could describe their symptoms in local languages, and doctors would receive translations in real-time.
Digital Government Services: Public services can reach more people through AI-powered helplines in local languages.
In fact, the Government of India is already working on projects like Bhashini, which aims to make the internet accessible in all Indian languages using AI and NLP. This is a major step toward true digital inclusion.
Final Thoughts: Why NLP Matters to You
In today’s world, where we are constantly connected to our phones, apps, and the internet, NLP is like a silent friend that helps us communicate better. Whether you’re booking a cab in Mumbai, ordering biryani online in Hyderabad, or studying from home in a small town in Bihar, NLP is quietly making your experience smoother and more efficient.
As technology continues to grow in India, understanding the basics of NLP can help you appreciate how AI is changing our lives — not just in English, but in every language that we speak. It’s not just a tool for tech experts; it’s a bridge between humans and machines, and it speaks our language.
So the next time you say “Play Arijit Singh songs” to your smart speaker, remember — it’s NLP doing the magic behind the scenes.

This ensures no opportunity slips through the cracks.
8. Better Reporting Through AI Dashboards
Instead of static spreadsheets, agencies now use AI-powered dashboards to deliver interactive, real-time insights. These tools automatically surface key patterns, anomalies, and trends—allowing businesses to make data-backed decisions quickly.
AI also enables:
Natural language report generation (“Explain this month’s traffic drop”)
Predictive KPIs (“Forecast next month’s conversions”)
Voice-controlled dashboards
This means faster, clearer communication between agencies and clients.
Final Thoughts: The Future of Agencies Is AI-Augmented
AI is not replacing digital marketers—it’s enhancing them. For any forward-thinking Digital Marketing Agency, integrating AI into workflows means more precision, less repetition, and smarter strategies.
A modern Digital Marketing Agency uses AI to work faster, target better, and report clearer—all while staying focused on creativity, empathy, and strategic thinking. If your business wants to stay ahead of the curve, partnering with an AI-ready agency isn’t just smart—it’s essential.

Android Gets Smarter: Google's Security Upgrades Target Scams and Stolen Phones
Reinventing Mobile Protection: Google's Latest Android Security Upgrades Tackle Scams and Theft Head-On
In a rapidly digitizing world where smartphones have become central to personal and business activities, the significance of robust mobile security cannot be overstated. Google has recognized this evolving threat landscape and responded with a comprehensive suite of security upgrades in Android, aiming to outpace the increasingly sophisticated tactics of cybercriminals and phone thieves. Businessinfopro takes an in-depth look at how Google's new Android security features form a powerful line of defense against scams and theft, reinforcing trust in the Android ecosystem.

A Strategic Focus on Device Theft
With smartphone theft still rampant in many urban centers worldwide, Google is rolling out features specifically designed to neutralize the benefits a thief might gain from a stolen Android device. One of the standout capabilities is Theft Detection Lock. Leveraging machine learning and on-device sensors, Android can now detect motions commonly associated with snatch-and-run scenarios—like someone grabbing the phone and sprinting away. Upon detection, the phone will immediately lock itself, preventing the thief from accessing sensitive data or apps.
This feature complements Offline Device Locking, which ensures that a stolen device locks automatically even if it's disconnected from the internet. This renders traditional theft strategies—like disabling connectivity to avoid remote locking—ineffective, closing a loophole that thieves have historically exploited.
Enhanced Authentication Barriers
In 2025, Android is doubling down on its biometric authentication capabilities. The Advanced Biometric Confirmation update ensures that even if someone gets physical access to your phone, they cannot change critical settings or reset the device without an approved biometric scan. This prevents unauthorized users from performing a factory reset, changing Google account credentials, or turning off tracking services like “Find My Device.”
For businesses, this has serious implications. Devices issued to employees are often repositories of sensitive data, from corporate emails and proprietary files to customer contact information. With this layered security in place, even if a device is physically lost or stolen, the data inside remains protected by strong, identity-based locks.
Scam Protection with Context-Aware Intelligence
One of the most forward-thinking additions is the Live Threat Detection for Fraudulent Apps and Messages, a real-time scam shield that uses AI to analyze and intercept suspicious activities on-device before they can compromise the user. It works by recognizing behavioral patterns and app-level anomalies—flagging apps that might mimic legitimate services or attempt to access sensitive permissions without user consent.
Google has integrated these security layers with Play Protect, its app vetting system, and is now giving more visibility to users through new dashboards. These dashboards will not only show users which apps were flagged or restricted but will also offer explanations, fostering a more transparent and proactive approach to mobile security.
This feature will be especially useful in regions where phishing scams and social engineering attacks—such as impersonating bank representatives via SMS or WhatsApp—are prevalent. The system alerts users when a potentially fraudulent communication is received and can automatically block messages or calls from known scam sources.
Remote Lock Via Phone Number: A Game-Changer
In a move that blends simplicity with high-impact protection, Google is introducing Remote Lock via Phone Number. If a device is lost or stolen, users can now lock it remotely simply by entering the phone number on any other internet-connected device. After verifying their identity, they can trigger a device lock that freezes access until the rightful owner regains control.
This innovation reflects a broader trend in security technology—making high-level security accessible to all users, not just the tech-savvy. It reduces the window of vulnerability and provides immediate peace of mind. For business users, this capability means corporate devices
can be safeguarded swiftly without needing complex enterprise mobile device management (MDM) systems.
Upgraded Factory Reset Protection
To curb unauthorized device reactivation, Android is reinforcing Factory Reset Protection (FRP). Previously, bypassing FRP required only minimal technical knowledge in some cases. The new version links device ownership more tightly to biometric and PIN-based credentials. Even after a reset, the device requires the original owner's authentication before becoming functional again.
This deters resale of stolen phones and sends a strong message to would-be thieves: a stolen Android device is essentially worthless.
Empowering Users With Security Transparency
Security isn't just about deterrence—it’s also about user education and empowerment. Google is enhancing Android’s Security & Privacy hub, offering real-time insights into which apps access what kind of data, how often, and why. The updated dashboard empowers users to revoke permissions and restrict background data collection more easily.
This is a key move in aligning Android with modern data protection expectations. With data privacy becoming a global concern and legal mandate in many jurisdictions, these tools help businesses remain compliant while maintaining user trust.
Partnership with Mobile Carriers and Manufacturers
Google understands that an effective security strategy must be holistic. To that end, it is working more closely with mobile carriers and device manufacturers to ensure timely rollout of security patches and alignment on anti-theft protocols. These partnerships are expected to reduce fragmentation—a long-standing challenge in Android’s open ecosystem—and ensure broader coverage of critical security features.
This collaboration also supports Google’s renewed emphasis on long-term OS support, with many newer devices promised up to seven years of OS and security updates. The impact of this
commitment cannot be overstated. For enterprise environments, it translates to longer device lifecycles and reduced exposure to zero-day vulnerabilities.A Security Model that Evolves with the Threat
Perhaps the most impressive aspect of these updates is how they reflect a shift from reactive to proactive security. Google is embedding AI not just as a user-facing tool, but as a dynamic system that continuously learns and adapts to emerging threats. Android’s modern threat response no longer depends solely on static rules or virus definitions—it learns from global trends, anonymized user behavior, and real-time incident reports to adjust its defenses accordingly.
For businesses and individuals alike, this evolution is critical. Scams and device theft are not just nuisances—they are gateways to identity fraud, financial loss, and corporate espionage. By strengthening Android’s core architecture and adding intelligent protective layers, Google is future-proofing its mobile platform for the threats of tomorrow.

How to Find Unit Number in Property Finder Listings Instantly:
A Complete Guide for Dubai Property Buyers
In Dubai’s fast-paced and transparent real estate market, having access to precise property details can make or break a deal. Among those key details is the unit number—especially relevant for buyers, investors, and even agents looking to verify property listings or cross-reference ownership. However, finding unit numbers on listing platforms isn’t always straightforward. That’s why knowing how to Find Unit Number in Property Finder Listings Instantly is now more important than ever in 2025.
This guide will walk you through the importance of unit numbers, the challenges users face, and the best tools or methods to reveal them—even when they're not visible at first glance.
Why Are Unit Numbers Important in Dubai Real Estate?
Dubai’s real estate sector is highly regulated, with each unit registered under a unique number through the Dubai Land Department (DLD). This unit number acts like a fingerprint for the property. It can be used to:
Verify the ownership and legal status of the property
Check mortgage or lien status through DLD services
Review exact floor location and floor plans
Match the property listing with official government records
For buyers, it ensures they’re investing in a verified and existing unit. For agents, it prevents the risk of duplicating or falsely listing unavailable properties.
But despite its importance, unit numbers are rarely shown on public listings—largely due to privacy rules and platform limitations.
Challenges of Finding Unit Numbers on Property Portals
On portals like Property Finder, Bayut, or Dubizzle, listings typically show details like community, building name, number of bedrooms, and size. But often, they stop short of revealing the unit number. This creates challenges for:
Verifying that the unit is real and currently on the market
Avoiding fake or duplicated listings
Conducting due diligence when purchasing off-plan or secondary properties
That's where the need to Find Unit Number in Property Finder Listings Instantly comes in. And now, smart tools and tricks can help you do just that.
How to Find Unit Number in Property Finder Listings Instantly
There are several ways you can attempt to retrieve unit numbers, depending on how the listing is structured:
1. Check Attached Brochures or Floor Plans
Sometimes agents upload official developer brochures or building floor plans. These files often contain unit numbers for each apartment or villa. Scrutinize these documents carefully.
2. Contact the Agent Directly
If you see a property you're interested in, call or WhatsApp the agent and request the unit number. Be professional and let them know you're doing due diligence.
3. Use a property finder unit number finder Tool
Several Chrome extensions and AI-based tools have emerged in 2025 that allow users to extract hidden metadata or detect property information embedded in the page. A reliable property finder unit number finder can analyze the HTML of the listing, parse documents, and even reference DLD APIs to suggest likely unit numbers.
These tools are becoming increasingly popular with brokers, investors, and even property tech startups.
Tips for Using a property finder unit number finder Effectively
When using such tools, make sure to:
Only download browser extensions from trusted real estate technology providers
Cross-check results with Dubai Land Department data (via REST App or DLD website)
Always confirm the unit with the listing agent before proceeding with documentation
Keep in mind that while these tools are helpful, they are meant to assist—not replace—manual verification.
Conclusion: Get Ahead with Better Property Insight
In a competitive and digitally driven property market like Dubai, being informed is your greatest advantage. Learning how to Find Unit Number in Property Finder Listings Instantly saves time, increases transparency, and protects you from making the wrong investment. With the rise of smart real estate tools, a reliable property finder unit number finder can help you unlock crucial data and boost your confidence in every deal.
Whether you're an agent working with high-volume listings or a buyer seeking investment property, mastering this process in 2025 gives you a serious edge.

Invisible Assistant: How AI Is Quietly Redefining Modern Living
Artificial Intelligence has moved far beyond futuristic dreams and high-tech labs. It’s now a practical, everyday companion—shaping how we live, work, and interact without ever demanding the spotlight. From morning alarms triggered by sleep cycles to AI-curated news feeds and personalized grocery apps, artificial intelligence is seamlessly integrated into our daily routines. Yet many of us are unaware of just how much it’s changed our lives.
AI doesn’t always look like a robot. Sometimes, it’s the software that recommends your next show or flags a suspicious credit card transaction. As this technology continues to evolve, so too does its impact—delivering more brilliant convenience, faster decisions, and more tailored experiences with each passing year.
Personal Assistants That Know You Better Than You Think
One of the most direct ways people encounter AI is through digital assistants. AI-powered assistants are evolving into lifestyle managers. They can anticipate your schedule, suggest the best time to leave for appointments based on traffic, and even manage your shopping lists by predicting what you’ll run out of. In the background, machine learning refines every interaction, making future engagements faster, smoother, and more relevant.
AI in Daily Communication: Predictive and Personalized
Even the way we text, email, and communicate has been subtly reshaped by artificial intelligence. Predictive text, grammar suggestions, and auto-reply features are driven by AI models that analyze sentence structure and context. These systems not only save time but also improve clarity and reduce errors in everyday conversations.
In email applications, AI filters out spam, organizes your inbox, and even suggests short, accurate replies based on the message’s tone. On messaging platforms like WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger, chatbots now answer service-related questions 24/7. For businesses, AI-enhanced communication tools are redefining customer service, reducing response time, and enabling companies to serve global audiences around the clock.
Shopping Smarter with AI Recommendations
Artificial intelligence is quietly revolutionizing how we shop. From fashion to groceries, AI analyzes your preferences, behavior, and past purchases to recommend products before you even realize you want them. Retail giants like Amazon and Netflix depend heavily on machine learning algorithms to provide personalized shopping and entertainment suggestions.
These systems track browsing habits, click patterns, and purchase history to create accurate customer profiles. But AI in retail isn’t limited to e-commerce. In physical stores, AI-driven inventory systems forecast demand, manage stock levels, and optimize supply chains to enhance operational efficiency. Smart mirrors in fitting rooms display how clothes look in different colors, and cashier-less stores utilize facial recognition and sensors to charge customers as they leave automatically.
The seamless blend of convenience, customization, and speed is transforming shopping from a task into a curated experience.
AI and Health: From Fitness Tracking to Early Diagnosis
Few areas show AI’s life-enhancing potential more than healthcare. Fitness trackers, such as the Apple Watch, Fitbit, and WHOOP, utilize AI to monitor heart rate, sleep cycles, physical activity, and even oxygen levels. These wearables provide users with real-time insights into their health, empowering them to make proactive choices.
In medicine, AI is becoming an indispensable diagnostic tool. Algorithms now detect signs of diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and neurological disorders by analyzing images, lab results, and patient histories more quickly and often with greater accuracy than human doctors. These systems help physicians make informed decisions, reduce diagnostic errors, and improve patient outcomes.
Mental health apps now use AI to detect mood shifts through typing patterns, voice tone, and screen behavior. Some can suggest exercises or connect users with counselors, thereby democratizing access to care and breaking down the stigma. The future of medicine is one where AI doesn’t replace doctors but works alongside them, offering deeper insights and faster support.
Smart Cities and Smarter Travel
AI doesn’t just live in our pockets and homes—it’s shaping the infrastructure around us. Innovative city technologies are utilizing AI to enhance traffic flow, manage public services, and improve safety. Traffic lights adjust in real time based on congestion, and AI monitors utilities to reduce waste and predict outages before they occur.
In transportation, ride-sharing platforms like Uber and Lyft optimize routes and pricing through AI. Airlines use AI to manage flight schedules, overbooking, and even in-flight services. Navigation apps learn from real-time data to redirect drivers around traffic jams or road closures.
As self-driving vehicles continue to evolve, AI will soon become the very driver behind transportation systems—literally. With predictive maintenance, intelligent traffic systems, and AI logistics management, our daily travel is on track to become safer, more efficient, and less stressful.
The Emotional Side of AI: Human Connection Through Technology
Beyond the mechanics of convenience and efficiency, AI is starting to play a surprising role in emotional support and companionship. Social robots and AI-powered pets offer comfort to elderly individuals, children, and people with disabilities. These devices can carry on conversations, provide reminders, and detect changes in mood or health.
AI is also being integrated into virtual therapy platforms, providing conversational interfaces that enable users to explore their thoughts and feelings in a safe and private setting. These AI-driven tools can’t replace human empathy, but they do make emotional support more accessible.
What makes these applications powerful is not just their technical prowess but their capacity to connect with users in meaningful, human-like ways.
A Quiet Revolution That’s Just Getting Started
Artificial intelligence is no longer a distant promise—it’s an active participant in our everyday lives. It lives in our homes, communicates with us through our devices, shops with us, travels alongside us, and even helps monitor our health and emotional well-being. Often, it does all this so quietly that we don’t stop to acknowledge how deeply it’s woven into our routines.
But the influence of AI isn’t just in the tools it powers—it’s in how it changes our expectations. We now anticipate immediate answers, personalized suggestions, and seamless services. AI is shaping not only what we do but how we think about technology and its role in our lives.
As artificial intelligence continues to evolve, its future will depend on thoughtful design, ethical deployment, and transparency. Done right, AI won’t just change how we live—it will enrich our lives in ways we’re only beginning to understand.
