The Book of Aicill relates to the criminal law and is often discussed as being on par in significance with the Senchus Mór; although, the latter deals with civil law.
Like the mystery of Saint Patrick’s posthumous authorship of the Senchus Mór, the Book of Aicill attributes its authorship to that of the legendary Cormac Mac Airt who is supposed to have ruled as High-King of Ireland during the 3rd…

Not my usual content but I just had to chime in/make a comment on something.
IF YOU DONT WANNA HEAR ABOUT AI ART, IGNORE THIS.
Okay, so, I was scrolling on Pinterest and I came across some cool pixel art and then I scrolled down and read this...
Now what really flutters my knickers about this is that we have encouraged people to think that they're "artists" enough that they can own words and the stealing of actual artist talents being sewn together in a Frankenstein of plagiarism. I am absolutely baffled by the entitlement to think that you can own a language and stolen work, basically.
And this is why I avoid AI at all costs. Not only because it's stealing, but because I don't want to have my ego as inflated as this. I'd rather be pleased with my talent and work rather than my knowing how to put words together over and over again to generate something I didn't do. And I hope more people feel this way as time goes on, and AI is used for something more purposeful.
Anyway, that was my rant. Back to pixelated ponies~

I blogged about gender, mourning as an act of protest, and blood-drinking -- aka some thoughts and ideas sparked by the symposium I attended on Wednesday about Caoineadh Airt Uí Laoghaire. Involves some slightly snarky commentary about past discussions of Comrac Fir Diad, for those who like academic shade.
It's a long 'un, and it's got FOOTNOTES. I spent a long time manually hyperlinking them, so I really hope they work...
