Man what the fuck do you mean we are getting into another goddamn war in the middle east over nukes our own intelligence can't seem to agree on the existence of? What in the Now That's What I Call 2000's kind of bullshit is this???
There are clear and obvious consequences and concerns here, but something that strikes me is how the timing of this is set to galvanize the angry young men in the States who are poor and unable to find their role in the workforce and will be preyed upon by recruiters to go play soldier when they're better fit to be a goddamn electrician but you don't get a signing bonus for going into a trade like you do when signing up to go get shot at.
They've been fed so much bullshit, and a war will help solidify their half baked beliefs about the world because they'll be looking at it through range finders and scopes.
Muhammad Ali had a particular quote about a certain word no Viet Cong ever called him. That quote made so much goddamn sense to me, I was a kid at the time when I first heard it. But damn. We really are about to send off some kids to war while their kin are liable to get kidnapped by ICE, shit, they'll cook up a "service for citizenship" process and act like it's a fucking gift.
Tired of brown folks getting demonized, displaced, and slaughtered. Tired of watching the ignorant think any of these recent events make them exempt or safe from fascism. Heartbroken to see how cold and hard-hearted the average American can be. It's painful to see propaganda work over time. To see the anti-authoritarian homies from two decades ago succumb to boot licking and cult of personality politics.
Had to come back at 5am to finish writing this because I wrote myself to sleep around midnight trying to make sense of it all. And the thing is, hate doesn't make sense. Somewhere along the way, some insidious thing tipped the scales and people became incurious and fearful instead of inquisitive and hungry to learn.
How are we supposed to win back the minds of people who are so entrenched in their hate that they can cheer for atrocities and injustices? How could any of those who have been wronged set aside their righteous anger and fury long enough to be bothered trying to flip the point of view of someone who could be so cruel? That is too much to ask.
There's no way this is the endgame, right? That humanity becomes so calloused and hateful that we choke ourselves on petty differences and ignorance as our planet dies out while we suffocate in the blaze of it all. Have we failed so often for so long that it'll only be in our last gasps that we realize how foolish we've become?
It feels unhelpful to wonder these things out loud, but on the other hand, maybe it's a comfort for others to see that anyone can be bothered to wonder these things at all at this point.
If we have passed the event horizon and it's just a matter of time, the best we can do is try to support those who need it and love each other. Feed the connections to those who bring you joy and laughter. Embrace loving people, and even if shit gets really, really grim...trust that love endures. It will outlast and overcome hate every time. Even if it's a naive, childish sentiment, that's where I'm putting what little faith I have to spare. When some strange creature seeks to understand what happened to us when we are all long gone, I hope they see that in the ashes they'll find the bones of those who chose to embrace one another as the darkness approached. Let them gaze in wonder at the human capacity to love.
Take care of yourselves. đ

i think RFK being an outspoken anti-food additive guy is going to be disastrous for food safety cultural awareness generally. one of the absolute worst things to be a stopped clock about bcause every single Colbert report liberal is going to get so reactionary about it. i mean food safety/additive scolds like myself are already on very thin ice re: sounding insane. i had many frustrating discussions with fellow leftists about PFAS (teflon) in the years preceding the recent "oops it turns out teflon toxicity has been a massive coverup this whole time" articles because "they tested it and it was safe lol".
teflon is an interesting example in particular, because for decades all veterinarians and bird owners above the beginner level of bird ownership have been aware that using nonstick cooking utensils inside your house was a great way to instantly kill all your birds, even if you weren't superheating the pans or using steel wool on them or otherwise intentionally aerosolizing them. it was just a known thing, not to do that. but for some reason this literal canary in the metaphorical coalmine was considered unimportant to the assumption that PFAS chemicals were completely safe for humans. this wasnt really a "dose makes the poison" situation either, nor was it like a "dogs cant metabolize grapes and will die from eating a snack that is healthy for humans", it was more like "you can have a little bit of lead paint as a treat but it costs another cubic inch of your brain every time you take a sip". the safe amount of PFAS to have inside your body or the general environment is zero, every particle above that level is bad for everyone. birds just die sooner from it because they're very small and very porous. i mean teflon still hasnt been regulated or demonized properly, that;'s going to take decades, as it did with arsenic, cigarettes, asbestos, lead, etc. until something like 26,000 people a year (as quoted in this video) are dying from provably PFAS-caused disease, the FDA isnt going to regulate shit. which is how it is with every horrible thing americans eat and probably a big reason why people with various chronic illnesses usually report feeling mysteriously less bad when traveling in most of europe, even when eating foods theyre "allergic to' in the USA

The Finale of Top Form goes TOO Meta: Jin and Akin are rivals once again
Other Parts [1] [2] [3]
Retrospective on what I think should've been done to save the ship: [4]

Before I conclude my take on this shooting star of a ship, let me go on a little tangent first.
When GMMTV launched KristSingto, as a branded pair in 2016--the first ever official same-sex ship (or koo-jin) in Thailand-- media critics and industry experts called them insane.
Now, even at that period branded pairs were not a new concept in the country, and by the time Channel 9 produced the first ever officially-labelled Thai Boys' Love series Love Sick in 2014, queer media has had a strong cinematic presence in Thailand for over two decades. Krist Perawat and Singto Prachaya were in fact NOT GMMTV's first foray into queer content-- Tay Tawan and New Thitipoom first appeared as a same-sex couple in the het-mix series Kiss (Jan 2016), followed by Off Jumpol and Gun Attaphan in het-mix series Senior Secret Love: Puppy Honey (March 2016). But Sotus (August 2016) would be GMMTV's first full BL-- a series focused on the love story of two men that isn't an addendum to a straight couple's love story. When GMMTV publicly declared their desire to do more projects with KristSingto as a koo-jin, followed by formally launching TayNew and OffGun as official ships with their own BLs, critics feared that GMMTV would run into a pretty major managament and marketing concern.
Because what happens when a same-sex ship falls apart?
The actors become each other's BIGGEST competition:
This would be a nightmare for GMMTV's management, because as these actors are retained in their agency, they now have to ensure that both actors in the (former) ship would get an equal amount of opportunities and representation, without upstaging each other or splitting the original fandom they had built. This is not a problem for het ships, because actors and actresses do not compete for the same roles, so couple fans can support them individually without being traitors to their bias and their fellow fans.
This is why prior to KristSingto, companies who produce BLs don't formally launch branded pairs, and the actors who play in these shows are managed by different companies who view BL series collaborations as a one-and-done deal (similar to other producers in Korea, Taiwan and Japan). GMMTV has managed to circumvent all management concerns by NOT separating the ships at all-- regardless of their solo projects, actors in the koo-jin always remain within their brand. They can do projects with different partners, but only once and never for long. All fan events and promotions shall remain within the koo-jin and even when apart, all actors in the pair must constantly remind fans that they are a strong unit. In recent years however, GMMTV has run into the problem of the actual ACTORS not wanting to be in the koo-jin anymore but retaining their contracts with the company; thus being in-agency rivals of each other. In hidsight, maybe there was some merit to the early warnings of their critics.
Irregardless, because of GMMTV's success and their brands' career longevities, other companies have adapted this pair branding practice to the point that it's become the norm of the industry. Actors in the ship must come from the same agency. Because even if they are pair branded, if they don't come from the same agency, chances are they're competing heavily against each other because their COMPANIES are fighting for media space. This is why branded pairs managed by different companies typically don't make it more than a year on average (but there are some exceptions).
Yes, the "KristSingto concept" paid off, and continues to bring in money for GMMTV, but that doesn't mean it'll work for everybody. Media, like any other aspect of society, is inherently political, and competition is rife. Some stars shine, some dim, and some...
Some implode.

Smart Chisanupong and Boom Raveewit now hold the singular notoriety of being BL's shortest-lived branded pair, at three weeks since the launch of their offical fandom.
In 2025, we count branded pair longevity on the day they launch their ACTUAL brand, in this case, the Auralis. WeTV officially closed that chapter yesterday, with a (what I assume) FINAL statement on the co-management issue of Smart, posted at around 11 pm Thai time (and edited to remove the header on the same day):

Though there isn't a mention of them shelving the Top Form project altogether, it can be presumed that production plans have been put on hold, as in the third paragraph they apologized for disappointing the series' fans and asked for understanding.
Also, see that last line, the "[...] call on ALL PARTIES ACROSS THE INDUSTRY to uphold a sense of contractual responsibility [...]"? That's a simple and straightforward call from WeTV to blacklist Grand Ivory Records and by extension, Smart.
Blacklisting in media is the practice of excluding individuals or entities, from opportunities or employment within the media industry. The calls to boycott artists in media are usually done in very hush-hush methods, but instances of direct blacklist calls are regularly done especially in Asian media. Here is an interesting article on the history of blacklisting in media, and how companies announce it:
And for a more recent example and (closer wording to how WeTV's issued their blacklist), Below is an English translation of China Association of Performing Arts (CAPA)'s call to boycott actor Zhang Zhehan, after he allegedly expressed his support for Japanese imperialism against China during WW2 (this was proven to be unfounded, and ZZH is slowly rising above the blacklist in recent years).
Zhang Zhehan starred in the hit Chinese bromance Word of Honor alongside BL veteran Gong Jun (who had one BL series prior to WoH that predates the tightening of censorship restrictions in China) Though not formally pair branded, the two were in talks to pursue a second joint project under WoH producer Youku. They were actively doing JOINT fanmeets and JOINT sponsorships for big name brands, appearing together in tv spots, and publicly mentioning and acknowledging the fandom name chosen by their cp fans (so essentially doing everything a branded pair does). This lasted for three months (May to July, 2021), before the PRC censorship boards targeted Zhang Zhehan. JunZhe was considered the shortest-lived fandom in queer-adjacent media before SmartBoom did their swan dive for Auralis.
WeTV's announcement is veiled, careful and apologetic, but the statement from TaiLai (WeTV's Thai production house and head of the Top Form project) was ANGRY and... poetic?

Man, someone really needs to get TaiLai a social media manager who speaks native English đ
What in the dollar-tree Shakespearean knockoff is this?!
Anyway, mentions of Damoclean swords aside, TaiLai specifically mentioned in their post that they intend fo fully pursue accountability for contract breaches, meaning a lawsuit is well on its way here.
These statements were made almost a week after Grand Ivory Records' and TaiLai's last heated (and childish) exchange on X, and three days after GIR claimed to still be in negotiations with Headliner and TaiLai over Smart's co-management.
The morning before WeTV, the actual media owner of Headliner and TaiLai, issued this statement to end all further discourse, GIR ONCE AGAIN *smh* announced another upcoming solo fanmeet for Smart in China:

Proof once again that GIR is all kinds of MORONIC and OBTUSE, because WHY THE HELL would you provoke WeTV AGAIN, when you're in the midde of legal renegotiations, while knowing that doing so put you in scalding hot water that first time? How do you, a company with two talents, go against the 17th richest company in the WORLD by employing the most legally questionable management decisions on this co-partnership? What hubris has blinded you so thoroughly?
Just because they trashed you in that documentary? Don't flatter yourselves, GIR; WeTV ALSO blamed Boom AND THE ACTUAL FANDOM for the failure of Top Form's continuation in the second part of the docu. WeTV is a monster that's darker and more sinister than you will ever be.
So what all this means is 1) GIR and Smart are probably going to be slapped by lawsuits left and right from all three companies under the Tencent conglomerate, if they haven't already, 2) WeTV, a major shareholder in Asia and part of China's top three media brands, has called for the industry blacklist of GIR and Smart, and 3) the SmartBoom ship is officially dead.
And as you'll see from the two posters at the top of this post, GIR and TaiLai aren't done measuring their dicks, because they both announced SOLO fanmeets for Smart and Boom in China on the same day, 721 km away from each other:

It's WeTV using Boom to further prove to GIR their superiority and utter strength, in the territory they have a chokehold over. Monsters, all of them.
Anyway, initially I didn't want to post this retrospective at all.
I meant it when I said @finally-im-home's statement on the whole fiasco is the final message I want everyone to see about SmartBoom. Go read that HERE first if you haven't-- it's insightful and very hopeful, unlike my own doom and gloom posts.
I changed my mind and decided to post anyway when I saw Auralis fans clamoring for the actual FANDOM to sue the companies who manage Smart and Boom. I can tell you now, the chance of us winning THAT lawsuit is a long shot the distance of Earth to Pluto, because as far as I know from an industry professional's perspective, we as mere spectators have no legal capacity to raise that lawsuit. Lawsuits of this nature have never been done before, and even if we did file it... would our co-petitioners (Smart and Boom) even cooperate? Do they even WANT to sue their own companies?
Smart seemingly doesn't. In his message on IG, though he insists that he personally never wanted to break the ship up and was happy to be in it, he accepted the decision of all parties and placed blame on himself, regardless if GIR decided for him.

And Boom is making a new song under WeTV, and has already secured a solo photoshoot and fanmeet, similar to Smart and GIR.
Are they still in contact? Are they still friends? Who knows đ¤ˇââď¸ Are they still required to interact, or prove to the fandom that they're still friends after this fiasco? No. Will we ever know if their friendship survived all this? Hopefully, yeah, but maybe not immediately. Even GMMTV's Bright and Win had to bide their time after the dissolution of the ship, to show the public that they're still good friends.
This media circus has done enough damage to Smart and Boom's career, and their mental health. I said in my last post that Boom is the greatest casualty of this mess and I stand by that, but with a blacklist and an impending, possibly million-baht lawsuit, Smart isn't doing any better either. At this point, if they want to change the trajectory of their careers away from these moronic companies, IT HAS TO COME FROM THEM. Even if it's too much responsibility placed on a young man's shoulders, Smart needs to come forward and take measures to extract HIMSELF from GIR, as a personal choice. Otherwise, he intends to join them in this ordeal to fruition.
And if we are any kind of fan, we have to respect that.
I'm anticipating that this will be my last post on Smart and Boom, and probably for Top Form and Auralis as well.
I find it ironically fitting that their fandom name is derived from the North Star and Aurora Borealis-- two things that are not constantly visible to the naked eye, and something you need to actively search for in order to see. Starlight takes lightyears to reach Earth, and most of the glimmers we see in the night sky are just fading remnants of dead stars that burned so bright it released light bright enough to reach the farthest corners of the cosmos.
Maybe, by naming their fandom from starlight, Smart and Boom knew then that their collective shine wasn't built to last. Not because they wanted to lose the light, but because they knew the space they wanted to shine it on is too dark and all-consuming to sustain their spark.
(Hey, I can be poetic too, TaiLai, screw you)
I wish Smart and Boom all the best in their careers, now as individual artists. I wish for Smart to become the idol he wants to be because he truly deserves it, and for Boom to finally get the acting acclaim befitting of his talent, and to join the likes of Billkin, Gun, and Apo in industry recognition.
And I hope, maybe weeks, months, or years down the line, I'll scroll through social media and see a normal photo they posted themselves, of Smart and Boom on a weekday off work just casually grabbing a bite to eat at a random restaurant, maybe with friends, maybe with their significant others, maybe by themselves. Free from the cloying expectations of fandom culture and the harsh rat race of money-hungry conglomerates-- just two friends who are content to support each other from the sidelines.
P.S. WeTV and TaiLai, since you all fucked us over, the least you could do is sue GIR to the ground. Not Smart-- GIR. Burn them to the ground so Smart can finally be free from that bogus contract. Make sure you get so much money from GIR that the CEO never has the power to open any business ever again. Only then will I forgive you.

oh mama, it has been a long day, when it should've just been a happy one. i thought i'd just put every psa into one post, cause the world is testing me today.
paige and azzi's social media presence is a PRIVILEGE that we have, not a right. they do not owe you anything as public figures. stop acting like you've been wronged just because they didn't post something. enjoy what they do post, and leave it at that.
i'm not the first person to say this and i won't be the last. you do not know them. you don't know what their relationship is like besides what they post, you don't know what conversations they are having. i keep seeing people saying they "feel bad for azzi" as if the discourse that they're having is to protect azzi or something. stop pretending you're talking shit about her relationship for her.
guys, we really need to stop bothering other players about paige and azzi. they have their own lives and they do not need us hounding them about other people. why were there people flooding ty's live with comments about paige and azzi? ty's literally injured and out for the season, leave her be.
if you are claiming that paige isn't treating azzi right solely based on her social media response, first of all, you're deluded. second of all, you are not a paige fan. you do not like paige. to say that paige is somehow betraying someone that she has known for nearly a decade, that has been there for every challenge in her life, is basically saying she's an asshole of astronomical proportions. if you disagree with this, then maybe you need to reflect on why you're accusing paige of something you don't even understand.
and if you read the last 4 bullets and thought "preach, but i don't need to hear this, i'm a normally adjusted person," always remember report then BLOCK. reporting is better than nothing, but people like this don't learn, they just make new accounts. block. block. block. protect your peace. this tag should be a safe place for everyone, and i'm sorry that it's not. if you ever see something that pisses you off but you don't wanna interact with the account, come to my asks. i have spent the whole day wishing i could smack people through a screen, so i'm always happy to see it.
lastly, if you live in the us, i know it feels like everything has been awful recently, but after what has happened today, it truly feels like the world is on fire. i've always appreciated how tight knit the pazzi community is on here. my asks are always open if you need to talk or vent about anything. or if you just need to come say hi and remember you're not alone. door's always open. i love y'all.
#HEY READ THE LAST BULLET IF YOU DIDN'T#feels like i'm asking for a flood of terrible asks but it's cool we ball#if you're not coming to yell at me you're totally welcome#paige bueckers#azzi fudd#pazzi

Genuine question, what did Stalin think of Zionism?
Stalin as an individual was never a fan of Zionism (or Jewish nationalism in general). For most of his political life, he spoke out against such ethnic and religious chauvinism, for example saying in 1913 in "Marxism and the National Question" on the question of whether or not the Jewish people constitute a nation that it is only religion that connects the disparate Jewish diaspora communities, asking "how can it be seriously maintained that petrified religious rites and fading psychological relics affect the 'destiny' of these Jews more powerfully than the living social, economic and cultural environment that surrounds them?" In addition, in Chapter 6 of the Foundations of Leninism, "On the National Question", Stalin stressed the importance of combating colonialism and promoting the national liberation of colonies as part of a broader anti-imperialist struggle.
Yet it is from this same opposition to chauvinism that led him to condemn at every turn antisemitism and hostility towards the Jewish people. As he stated quite clearly to the Jewish News Agency in 1931, "Anti-semitism is of advantage to the exploiters as a lightning conductor that deflects the blows aimed by the working people at capitalism. Anti-semitism is dangerous for the working people as being a false path that leads them off the right road and lands them in the jungle. Hence Communists, as consistent internationalists, cannot but be irreconcilable, sworn enemies of anti-semitism." In this vein of communistic opposition to antisemitism, upon the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941, the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee was founded in the Soviet Union in order to coordinate international support from Jewish communities abroad towards the Soviet war effort.
However, Stalin was neither a dictator nor an ideologue. His personal beliefs did not alone shape the policy of the Soviet Union, and he was often pragmatic in his dealings as a national leader. The Soviets, while initially advocating for a secular and multi-ethnic democracy in Palestine, ended up backing the partition of Palestine and the creation of Israel as a Jewish state. The Soviet representative at the UN, Andrei Gromyko, explicitly invoked the recent memory of the Holocaust in his defense for the Soviet decision, decades before the West would adopt the same rhetoric in defense of Israel (probably because such rhetoric had been associated with the communists at first.)
That said, I have not been able to find a single quote from Stalin in his own words expressing support for Israel or Zionism. While many sources make the mistake of identifying Soviet policy with Stalin's own thoughts and beliefs, whenever it comes to the question of Soviet support for Israel, it is always other members of the Soviet government who are quoted. I cannot say for certain that Stalin was not in agreement with the Soviet decision to back Israel at the UN, but I cannot say for certain he was, either.
Soviet friendliness towards Israel would not last for long. The Soviets had been convinced, due in no small part to the fervent efforts of Zionist diplomats both during and after the war, that Israel would be a neutral, even Soviet-leaning nation. The reality of the matter quickly asserted itself, as Israel almost immediately sought ties with Western powers upon independence, as well as conducting active propaganda campaigns trying to convince the Jewish citizens of the Eastern Bloc to emigrate. By 1948, the year following Israel's independence, the Soviet Union began efforts to combat Zionism as part of a broader campaign against "cosmopolitanism", or pro-Western and pro-imperialist sentiment. (It should be noted that while the anti-cosmopolitan campaign during this period has often been maligned as "antisemitic" by Western commentators, and while I will not claim there was no excess or intolerance involved, the campaign was not at all targeted towards Jews. Zionism, while widespread, was not a very popular political position among the Jewish members of the Eastern Bloc and the opposition against Zionism came just as much from Jewish communists as it did from non-Jewish communists.)
Relevant reading:
The Soviet Union and the Creation of the State of Israel, Gabriel Gorodetsky (a detailed look into the diplomatic efforts to achieve Soviet support for Israel, primarily from the Zionist perspective)
Stalin: The History and Critique of a Black Legend, Domenico Losurdo (while not focused on Israel, it provides more information on the Soviet perspective on the matter during the chapter addressing claims of Stalin's antisemitism. It does make the mistake of identifying Soviet policy with Stalin's own beliefs, however.)
Human Rights in the Soviet Union, Albert Szymanski (this and the previous book discuss in part the charges of antisemitism relating to the anti-cosmopolitan campaign)

Thank you for the tag @angie-words.
I'm mostly in outlining mode right now but even so, I do write something less involved here and there because there's this constant itch in my fingers to write. This is from something very unfinished, not even in its alpha stage yet, and the sentence wasn't even done. At least there was no punctuation mark. Probably got interrupted in the middle. It happens.
When even Crowley had had to concede the fruitlessness of his efforts and had slept the decades away
17 words. Why can't I ever get one of the short sentences for these things? (And yes, I know, there aren't that many of those. I'm wordy! đ) Don't think I can name that many people who haven't been tagged recently for this, but I'll try to come up with some.
No-pressure tags for @nosferatini, @bohoteacher, @angellilou-art, @valesyart (I count lines written for comics as well!), @kt-mighty-odd, @bl0ndwave, @mielpetite (again, I count lines written for comics - and I'm trying to come with more names! đ).
Note to self: Work on ending EVERYTHING on a three-word-sentence in case you get tagged again. đ
Last Line Tagging Game
Rules: Share the last line you wrote, then tag as many ppl as there are words.
Thanks for tagging me @the-written-wyrm :)
This truth Aziraphale hadnât been able to explain, not to Crowley, not even to himself, loomed between them now, just like that.
Way too many words for tagging (I really should learn how to write shorter sentences), but maybe you'd like to share @rcreveal , @theriverspath, @luv4thethindarkduke, @catsteinbooks, @metalmiez? No pressure :)
And of course if anyone else who wasnât tagged wants to share, go ahead!

In an addition, your recent post was so accurate, despite them threatening israel for decades, we don't have ANY siren, shelter for this situation and without internet without any idea of where might be exploded so more 'normal people' get killed, being unaware that they can leave their home-if they can, some banks and their apps were not working for days and many peoole couldn't get money even online. Idk about now. We also have to be nervous about our money. We don't know what to do with that.and i don't even have full informations about this. I think more people can give better infos.
It's awful. The people of Iran are so brave and full of potential and deserve so much better. I know this is a terrible situation and being forced to be in ignorance of whatâs happening and cut off from the world and from each other must make it even worse. Hang tight. Even this will pass eventually. Lots of us around the world are thinking of you all and hoping you stay safe and that one day you can live the life you deserve.
#I was so glad to get these asks and know that you're ok for now.#Hang in there and stay safe!!#asks#Iran

Same Old Story: Trump Budget Delivers Symbolic Gestures Instead of Real Investment in Indian Health
The Trump administration released new details about its 2026 budget, which includes the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Budget in Brief. As with past budgets, this document was rolled out with the usual talking points: commitment to tribal sovereignty, honoring federal trust obligations, and improving health outcomes for Native people. But reading between the lines â and looking at the numbers â reveals a familiar story: symbolic gestures, flat funding, and broken promises. The proposed $8.1 billion for the Indian Health Service (IHS) may look like progress on the surface, but Tribal leaders and health advocates know better. Most of the "increase" comes from mandatory spending tied to contract support costs and facility leases â obligations the federal government is legally bound to fulfill. Thatâs not new investment. Thatâs just keeping the lights on.And itâs not even enough to do that. IHS has stated it needs $9.5 billion in fiscal year 2026 to meet baseline health care needs for Native communities â a figure that far exceeds the administrationâs proposal.Even more troubling is whatâs missing: advance appropriations for IHS. Despite years of advocacy from tribal leaders, health care providers, and bipartisan support in Congress during the Biden administration, the Trump administration sidesteps this critical provision. Itâs a glaring omission that puts Native lives at risk. When the federal government shuts down â which has happened more than once in recent years â every federal health program continues to operate with funding in place. Every program, that is, except the Indian Health Service (IHS). Advance appropriations insulates the IHS from political gridlock, ensuring consistent healthcare delivery regardless of Washington dysfunction. To omit this is not just an oversight â itâs a betrayal of the federal trust responsibility. While the budget includes modest gains in specific areas like dental services ($5 million), mental health ($1 million), and Purchased/Referred Care ($6 million), these are crumbs when compared to the real need. They do not even begin to address the chronic underfunding that has plagued IHS for decades. Native people still die younger, get sicker more often, and face more barriers to care than any other group in the United States. These are not statistics. They are lives. Our relatives. There are some bright spots. The new $80 million Native American Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder Program provides much-needed investment in culturally grounded mental health and addiction services. But even this feels like a half-step forward while the ground erodes beneath our feet. The reauthorization of the Special Diabetes Program for Indians (SDPI) at current levels is a win for Indian Country, though the administration had initially proposed a funding decrease. That proposal should never have been on the table. SDPI is one of the most effective public health programs ever implemented in Native communities, and cutting it would have been an act of cruelty disguised as fiscal restraint.Beyond IHS, deeper cuts across HHS â including a $17 billion reduction to the National Institutes of Health â raise further alarms. this is a water is wet observation but it's funny how obvious it is that in order to say stuff like this you have to be so incredibly intellectually dishonest.
people only know about top surgery because of trans people talking about it. trans people have actively had to fight to get access to top surgery. top surgery scars are commonly derided and view negatively by mainstream society. for most of modern history the norm has been actively trying to avoid any scarring. it is only recently, as a pushback done entirely by trans people with great resistance, that top surgery scars are remotely seen as desirable. even outside of a trans context, mastectomies are frequently treated as extremely tragic because the idea of getting your breasts (symbolic of potential wifehood) removed is culturally derided.
to act like top surgery is at all on the same cultural level as BBLs or lipo is a genuinely absurd claim. BBLs are pushed by major magazines, paragons of mainstream cultural for decades. top surgery scars are romanticized by a bunch of random trans people on the Internet. i know online these things can feel equivalent in influence, but they really, really are not.
even puting aside the whole "but what do people REALLY feel? can people be trusted to know their own desires when We Live In A Society?" question. traditional cosmetic surgeries are driven by the demand by the patriarchy to seek sexual desirability. top surgery is used constantly as THE symbol of transgender destruction of women's sexual desirability & wifehood. the fact that screenshot op thinks these things are comparable is proof in and of itself of how deeply mired in unchecked bias their arguments.

This is such a curious way of thinking bcâŚ. Do you really think I want top surgery because someone TOLD me to get it? Fuck no. The minute I started developing breasts before I even knew what transgender meant, I wanted them gone. I starting binding in elementary school. I would cry hysterically when my mother wanted to measure me for bra size. no, I was not fucking molested. No I didnât have any trans family members. No I did not exist on any trans spaces online. I simply just donât want breasts, I have never wanted them. This does not make me âmentally illâ or some sort of sexual deviant. Itâs as simple as that I donât want breasts. I donât give a fuck how other people perceive me or any sort of fashion trend. I know my body more than anyone else and top surgery is truly and deeply what is best for me and my mental health.

That proposal should never have been on the table. and another reason to hate him as of last week is that he recently was on concert with a country musician, but not just any country musician, Morgan Wallen

Sure Morgan wallen(born on  May 13, 1993 , 32 years ago) is a successful musician. Last month he released his new album âI'm the Problemâ (his fourth studio album overall) and itâs still being popular on the billboard charts. His previous album âOne Thing at a Timeâ released in 2023 debuted atop the US Billboard200 and spent 19 non-consecutive weeks atop the chart throughout 2023 and 2024.[7] The album broke the record set by Garth Brooks' Ropin' the Wind for the longest-running number-one country album on the respective chart, and has spent 87 weeks atop the Top Country Albums chart and one of the songs from the 36 track list(thatâs from the main album , not the album deluxe version ) "Last Night" became one of the most successful and popular songs from the album topping the billboard charts for the year-end list of that year (not bad for an album that  garnered mixed reviews from music critics for being too monotonous) .
but thatâs not the only thing that Morgan is known for
On February 2, 2021, after celebrity gossip news magazine TMZ released a video recorded on January 31 showing Wallen using the racial slur "nigger" to one of his friends after a night out, the incident was unsurprisingly met with strong criticism and backlash. While he offered apologies , donated to organizations that supported black musicians and even told his fan base not to defend his actions radio stations stopped playing his music, award shows didnât nominate him and when he was nominated in a award show, he didnât win any and wasnât even invited
that didnât stop him from being successful in spite of it though.
âBut he collaborated with lil durk â
yeah but that doesnât change the fact that heâs not going to live it down because thereâs people who donât forget. sure anyone who has seen Drake being all good friends with Morgan may not seem like a bad thing (post Malone was a rapper before releasing his first country album last year and one of the tracks included a collaboration with Wallen) so it wouldnât be surprising if thereâs a possibility that Drake could do the same thing in the future
but then again when a certain Compton rapper calls you for being a colonizer and profiting from black culture but not caring enough for black lives , then why the heck are you associating yourself with a white American Tennessee native who nearly became cancelled for saying a racial slur, and a highly offensive one at that?
Thatâs why some people have a problem with Drake with his cornball self on a concert with Morgan Wallen , and Drake being a biracial Canadian should know better than to be buddy with someone who has used a highly offensive racial slur against black folks . But then again this is the same guy who thought itâs ok to say things like âwhipped and chained like American slaves â and say that Kendrick Lamar, an African American (and highly regarded and respected) rapper from Compton, âraps like heâs trying to get the slaves freedâ but not apologize for it when he was called out for being tone deaf about enslaved black ancestors in America. Not to black Americans. Not to black Canadians. Not even to Trayvon martins parents when he (allegedly) said that heâs going to go the level of the guy who got away with murdering their son over a decade ago (keep that in mind he may or may not said this in a diss track towards a black American rapper)
The same guy who would promote that baldie from Canada (if you know you know) freedom which was undeserved (the same person who he didnât eff with) because Meg the stallion was not interested in him and completely misinterpreted âMother | Sober" while dissing Kendrick Lamar saying that he was molested as a child despite not being anything like that, a complete lack of empathy and regard regarding black psychological trauma regardless of sexual abuse or other traumatic events (domestic violence, seeing violent crimes , child neglect etc) experienced as children even if they were not victims or being a black woman abused by a another black man shot at , nearly killed and then constantly tormented despite being kind enough to not see her attacker in prison because no good deed goes unpunished (thankfully neither does bad deed go unpunished either) and not offering any sincere apology to anyone who felt understandably offended, horrified, retraumatized and outraged by his words. Not to Megan.
Not to Kendrick , more specifically to his mother who was a victim of csa who when she thought her son was too a victim of csa didnât believe him when he said that he was not touched inappropriately.
Not to actual victim of molestation nor domestic violence.
heck not to any of the women he bashed out of spite.
I been telling yall Aubrey was a WW and moving like a incel and white supremacy for years and I hate him so much more now as a person because of him having no respect for the same black ppl who once respected him when they didnât have to and disrespecting women especially black womenfolk who didnât have to buy his music nor wanted their future boyfriend to be like him
and you know what the white bigots can have him because how can us black Americans take this guy seriously as a hip hop artist again

The north remembers! He had the most unsolicited commentary of all tbh.
The moment he was being such a groupie for her abuser and tormentor for no good reason at all her ancestors being the outraged group that they are struck him down hard. Like it all went downhill from there. Now look at him heâs getting humiliated by the world now. The only thing he can do is either a. Move to a new town where nobody knows his name. B. End it all (as in unaliving himself) or c. Go the same route as mgk and post Malone and do a different genre like pop punk or country.
But seriously if we can learn anything from this is that 1. Donât mess with somebody who has been through already so much that they should not have to go through I.e one minute losing your grandmother, mother and father and the next being shot five times and then tormented by the person who harmed you for five years
And 2. Donât mess with somebody like Kendrick Lamar.

Erm... Hi, I guess. Sending this off anon just because. Just... feeling like the fandom I was most invested in recently is dying at a fast pace over here on Tumblr and I don't know how truly deal with it.
It started great back early in the year, with many people making blogs and a tumblr community and everything to share fics and fanarts about the source, and it felt welcoming and like was fun and everything. And then since the start of May everything just... slowed down like someone hit the brakes. Many of the BNFs or fandom pioneers are using their blogs less and less and prioritizing their private twitter accounts, many creatives have left or dissapeared, and feom what a mutual told me most of the acrion happens either between private twitters or on discord.
And I've tried to contact them over on twitter with my own private acc, but not even after DMing them and telling them that's my twitter, they either ignore my request or straight up block me. Which makes me wonder many things too.
In the end, it feels like they're 2-3 accounts left here and they also are barely posting anything these days. It's only a matter of time before they also move to twitter and/or discord and then... there'll be no one left except me, I guess. And it makes me feel defeated and like I've wasted my time and creative drive. Also been trying to move from that interest to others, but it's not working.
Dunno if someone has had a similar experience. But yeah... i don't know how to deal with this honestly. And it's not like the source has finished/ended either. Ugh.
--
Decades ago, a similar pattern would happen, but it took years. Now, it takes a few months.
If you enjoy making fanworks, that time wasn't wasted, but you cannot slow the passage of time or make people stay in love with the same media.
