Chartreuse eyes open to find your own closed, a soft smile gracing your features with the sunlight from the open blinds of his balcony haloing you.

He was glad that your hands were in his hair and not on his face because he couldn't keep himself from flushing.

He sighed, tail thumping against the sheets. "You're imaginin' things."

"When I was little my mother would always brush my hair before bed. She would take her time and hum this little tune and just..." He trailed off, losing himself in the feelings of those memories.

He didn't like thinking of is ma. It brought up too much to the surface. Too much that he refused to sort through.

Too much about her.

Too much about his father.

Too much about his brother.

Too much about how much he has lost.

"Leona." One again, you pull him from that headspace. "I hope I'm not over stepping but..."

"I'm so happy that I'm you trust me with things like this."

He released a breath he didn't realize he was holding. "'Course I trust you with this.'

aaaaaa chapter 3 of IHM was soooo good!!! Reader and Gojo’s banter is so funny, I just love stories, series and movies where the main characters can’t stand each other and fall in love without even noticing! Their relationship reminds me a lot from the main couple in the movie “Life as we know it”. Omg poor reader when dealing with Choso, the other cop PLUS her neighbors! And the way everyone is so nosy and suspicious, I feel like more awkward situations about their sudden marriage are about to come. These cringe encounters are everything 😂😂😂 The little detail where reader reminds Gojo to strengthen his collar before he leaves was the sweetest, cutest thing! I absolutely love how reader meets part of the family all at once, it was so adorable. And Mama Gojo is amazing, I already love that woman! Does she believe in energy, crystals and all these things? The way she literally hugged reader and declared she would bring luck to their family was soooo sweet!!! This fic is definitely the found family trope!!! And little Juno calling us auntie? My heart just melted right then and there! i relate to reader in the sense that she feels overwhelmed and terrified at the thought of having another family now that she’s married to Gojo. I am close only to my mom, dad and brother, and completely ceased contact with my family from my father’s side of the family. What I mean is, family is difficult, so I’m excited to see how reader will navigate this new chapter of her life, since when you marry someone, it’s like you marry their whole family by association. I hope the rude comments and asks you’ve received straight up demanding smut in all your fics don’t discourage you from continuing writing and posting your lovely stories!!! Unfortunately this always happens, people only care about what they want to see and completely disregard the author’s feeling and efforts. Thank youuu so so so much for writing real stories, with a real build up which only makes the romance between the main characters more genuine and worth in the end! I am absolutely awed by all your writings. I genuinely hope the rudeness you’ve been receiving from the fandom won’t keep you from doing what you love. thank you for your insights on family, that is so true. when you marry someone, you marry their whole family too. and that can be hard to navigate, especially when you’re so used to being around just one person (in reader’s case, her mother) and then suddenly having to acclimate to new people. i’m so glad you can see yourself in her (i’m the same way, only keep in touch w my immediate family and hardly w my aunts/uncles/cousins on both sides for a lotta family drama reasons haha) and i’ve always felt frightened to expand my relations w ppl for that reason, but i think i find that it can be healing too.

What the hell, broccoli? You have met the guy for a total of literally three seconds where he said hi and walked off and have also observed him goofing at a date with ZY for an additional minute a week before. That's a...unique ability to form any sort of opinion about a person from that amount of interaction.

Any time anyone starts a convo by saying "pardon my frankness" type of intro, nothing good can come. But seriously, wtf! YOU DON'T KNOW HIM, THIS IS INSANE! She's never gonna bang your broccoli self, give up.

She is so much more polite because if anyone who wasn't my BFF of 10 years had the presumption of saying they know better than me who is suitable for me - good god. That would come better even from her mother who is, at least, her actual mother!

I literally started clapping. The thing is, LX may not be everyone's cup of tea (frankly, wouldn't date him myself, would brain him within an hour) but ZY clearly knows him inside out and sees him clearly and likes what she knows and sees - she is not some Victorian ideal wanting to change him into a better man for love - she likes him just fine the way he is and that is why that relationship can succeed. Going into any relationship, friendly, working or romantic, hoping to change the other person, is futile. But if you know what you are getting and like it, then there is every chance. Broccoli, like her mom, can't really see ZY for the grown up she is, who may make choices they disagree with or wouldn't themselves, and who has different tastes than they do. Broccoli's whole basic assumption is that she's fallen for Li Xun being attractive or w/e and has overlooked his personality and/or hopes to change it, he genuinely cannot get that ZY he knows, the good girl, can genuinely like the personality of a feral cat x human hedgehog crossbreed. But she does and honestly, she's allowed to and it is only her business. The only time people should intervene in a relationship is if the other person is abusive or an addict or some other similarly terrible stuff. Otherwise, butt out. Even if she were a misguided naif falling for an immature domineering jerk, guess what - her business and college is the perfect time to make those mistakes.

AAAAA! How is he so annoying? What kind of an answer is that? 50% is a failing grade for a reason! How can you make any relationship judgment when you don't know one half of said relationship aaaaaa!

That was GLORIOUS!!!! And she does not consciously realize it, but an epic slam of her own mom who she equates this dude to. (Broccoli is another one of those born on third base thinks he hit a triple people. Her mom, broccoli and ZY all come from privilege but honestly only ZY is cognizant of the same.)

Broccoli winding down the convo with "I hope you are right" made me want to stab him with a fork because that is so what people say when they mean "you are WRONG but I am too mature to continue and I am making that clear."

IM LOSING MY MINDDDD like I've hit the stage I hit when I was reading priory where I become so obsessed with the book I just want to read it all the time and it's all I can think about it's so so good

I'll talk a little bit about what's making me so insane the most below the cut - spoilers for a day of fallen night (prequel to the priory of the orange tree) below!

just. glorian and wulf. aaaaaa I love their relationship so much. I had a strange feeling wayyyy earlier in the book that something was going to happen and wulf might end up being the one to get glorian pregnant but just. they mean so much to me. their friendship is so sweet.

I'm just going so insane over glorian in general. she's a child!!! she's a 16-17 year old girl who is so scared but is so determined to be the best queen she can. her mother thought she wasn't enough and even though her mother isn't here to see her fulfill her duties she's so determined to be more than what her mother thought she would be. I seriously adore how samantha shannon wrote her. she genuinely feels so much like a teenage girl even as she gets more and more responsibilities settled on her shoulders.

and just. the way she's chained to her castle walls until she has a child. her body is an incubator and she can't defend her people the way she wants until her womb has served its purpose. she wants so badly to be more than a womb, she wants to be the shield for her people. she wants to be their protector. she wants to be their queen. but she can't do that until she continues this vicious cycle of the berethnet queens.

(also I just deeply appreciate how clear samantha shannon made it that glorian is aroace. I know she wrote tané as aroace in the first book which was great but it wasn't the kind of thing I could extrapolate from the text on my own. glorian's orientation never feels unnaturally slotted in it's just a part of who she is but it's very explicit at the same time. and I especially appreciate it since she does have sex! and she doesn't hate it, even joking with wulf like "oh how terrible we have to do this several times" but also knowing once she's pregnant she's never going to have sex again. like yes asexuals can have sex and even enjoy it and I just love the nuance glorian is given)

but man. glorian shieldheart. she's so young but she's doing such an amazing job as queen already and I'm so glad she had wulf and that he made sure she was comfortable and okay. I am terrified something is going to happen to wulf but if he survives the grief of ages I am so deeply hoping he gets assigned to stay in Inys serving glorian as a knight so he can watch his daughter grow up even if its from afar

also of course I love all the other characters too. I love dumai and nikeya's dynamic so much and I'm so obsessed with the two of them (I had first suspected maybe they were going to have something between them but I brushed it off and when I realized we were going that direction I literally cheered out loud). and tunuva... oh tunuva I love you. I want her to find wulf so badly. I'm also a bit pissed at esbar saying that tunuva doesn't feel the priory are enough, she's trying to find her SON!! I get you might not love your daughter more than any other priory sister esbar but tunuva loves both her children so deeply. I am very scared of what canthe/kalyba is up to. also when tunuva first told the story of how she lost her son to canthe I thought to myself "man wouldn't it be wild if that was wulf" and then I brushed it off bc I was like how would he get to inys. still don't know how he got there but I'm sure canthe had something to do with it.

also my love what do you mean Logan called Sunshine princess 😭😭 and I love her so much, she goes "isn't this fun? we're explorers!" while stressed out of her mind and having a terrible morning, ugh she's so cute and she's the best mom ever I literally got a little bit emotional over it bc that's just how many young mothers are really 🥹 always trying to keep things positive for their kids, I think you're capturing that perfectly!

she's so cute she shows gratitude by hugging 😭😭 idk how Logan is gonna keep it together honestly she's so cute and funny, but also poor woman she's horny af I bet she loves sabrina carpenter 💀 and I'm 100% with her ok I deserve jail time for the thoughts that came to my mind when he said "are you always this polite princess" ???????? like sir imma need you to tone it down or you'll get me arrested ugh he's so flirtyyyyy he called her pretty and why do I feel like maybe his love language is acts of service???? like every grumpy man in the world?????

Yesss I think Theo's health, both mentally and physically is the priority for Sunshine, and she is being very careful to make sure he grows up in a very loving and peaceful environment even if her own environment isn't exactly peaceful ❤️ So even if she's stressed out, she will make it look like a game to Theo and keep things totally positive ❤️

Lolll oh Logan is trying to keep it together but between her hugging him, and him sniffing her hair, and her being all cute and rambling with him, he is finding it very hard 😂

Snape braced himself as he wordlessly handed Potter her spectacles, and she clumsily accepted and fumbled them onto her sleep-flushed face.

Clearly, the wizarding world’s only hope was a slow riser when it came to shaking off the effects of foreign substances. Snape made a mental note to work on that after they were settled.

Harry looks from her professor to Voldemort. Voldemort, who smiles at her like he wants to consume her. It was the creepiest smile she ever saw on the serpentine man’s face, turning her blood cold.

“You’ve gone mad,” she says shakily, breathing hard the longer she stares into Voldemort’s red eyes. “Absolutely bonkers.”

“And you,” said Harry, gesturing to Voldemort, “you were trying to kill me all my life.”

“Situations change, Harry,” replied Voldemort softly, in a whisper with which he spoke with his snake. It makes Harry sick. She’d rather he's back to hating her again. This was creeping her out. “I protect what is mine. And my Horcruxes are very much mine.”

Harry felt like she was going to hurl. If she did, she’d make sure to aim right at Voldemort.

“It’s your fault I’m a Horcrux in the first place,” growled Harry, glaring at Voldemort, whose smile only widened, shark-like.

“Would you rather be dead?” he asked coldly.

Harry closed her mouth. Then, she turned to Snape, green eyes pleading. “Is he the only one? Why can’t I stay here, Professor?”

“Because the Ministry and Dumbledore will come looking here,” replied Snape. “The Dark Lord is a master of evading both, and of remaining hidden. No matter how much they look, they will never find him.”

Harry swallowed heavily. After a moment, feeling like she just signed her death certificate, she nodded.

Voldemort’s eyes glowed in triumph, and he smiled, like he had won.

“I'll wait in the sitting room.” said Voldemort, and left out the doors, ducking his head under the doorframe.

Harry got up from the bed, feeling numb. She didn't look at Snape, not even when he transfigured her hospitak garb into a dark hooded robe similar to Voldemort’s, or when he summoned socks and shoes for Harry to put on. Harry grabbed her wand from the night stand, drank some water so she doesn't faint, then followed Snape out the door ofthe guest bedroom.

Voldemort was standing in the sitting room, surveying a photograph of two children. One was a black-haired, very cute eleven-year-old boy with black shoulder-length hair and dark eyes. He had a green tie. And beside him...

A girl with red hair and green eyes.

Voldemort must have heard Harry shuffle to see the photograph better, because he said, “Severus and your mother when they were children.”

Harry stared at the picture of her mom. Her mum was so pretty, even when she was a girl, with cascading red hair and a cute face.

Without a word, Voldemort headed for the doors. Harry swallowed, and after a last glance at the picture, she followed after the skeletal man.

She was scared out of her wits.

“Come,” said Voldemort, extending a skeletal hand.

Harry stared at the offered hand, took a deep breath, and placed her hand into his. Her hand was small and delicate in Voldemort's larger one. His skeletal fingers wrapped around her palm, and Voldemort brought her close to his side.

* Running and huffing* what the hell was that? Did i just saw a tiger cub, who can talk and stand like human? And....did he wear a scout uniform!? What's going on here!? Am i dreaming!? It can't b-

" Aaaaa!!!!! Ouh!!" I landed on the ground. Now, I got bruised on my skin. My full dark military combat suit was messed with dirty mud. My red lenses, it looks shattered but it didn't break yet.

" Damn it....i need help..." Finally, I reached that big city. I don't know what kind of city was. I had to go in there and have a look.

" I go inside to that city, i was about to feel relief to meet people in out there but my smiled become fade. My heart almost stop and i was speechless. My eyes wide open to see the inhabitants of this city. All of them, they were animals, animals everywhere!! Animals that live their style like humans!. There's no sign of human.....oh heck, where the hell am i? What kind of this place!? Where's human!?

At the moment, all of them were stopped walking and they all stare at me with shocked. I realized that I was in the crowded street. I can hear their murmur, whispering and some of them give disgust look towards me. Wait.... are they... recording me, with their phone!?

Everyone keeps murmur. I was panicked. So i was move stay back. I breath anxious behind the gas mask. Until i accidentally bumped a bit to the bear cub one. I quickly look at him. He's a little, and looks like he's starting to cry.

" Ohhhh no, no, no!!!" Don't cry!!"

" Aaaaaaa!!!! Mommy! That alien is trying to eat me!!!!" That bear cub cry with hysteric then run back immediately to his mother. The mother hugged him while she was looking at me with frightened.

" Who are you anyway!? Get away from my child you MONSTER!!"

" wait! I'm not..!"

* CLICK!* They taking pictures of me

"Aaaaaa!!!!!!!" I run left them behind. I keep pushed among the crowded. All animals, they are everywhere! I was only human in this place!! All of them were shocked and scream of fear.

" Aaaaaaa!!!! What the hell is that!?"

" It's alien, run for your life!!"

I just ignore of their nonsense comment and keep running. I run to the middle road area and i jumped over the car. The deer inside looks angry head his out.

" Hey, watch your..- what the hell is that!?"

I jumped over the car and i was landed, rolling, and get up then run immediately. I was lost, lost in this city. All of them watching me!!

I don't know where to go but what i was thinking in my mind is..." RUN, JUST RUN LIKE A CRAZY."

So....i keep pushing the various of animals in the middle of this city. Until that, i accidentally bumped into an animal, a hippo who carried a box that filled with stuff. The stuff inside was scattered around.

" No!!!! My comic!! Hey, why you don't just..-!?"

The box was on my head. When i lift up the box, he's scream.

" Aaaaaaa!!!! Someone, help me!!! Alien!!!!" He's panicked while pointed at me.

" I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..!!" I collected the comic quickly and put it back on his head. I know, it's such a rude. Then I ran and left him behind. Everyone watching this situations. Not only I'm scared but embarrassing too!

Now....i had nowhere to go but i could just keep running, in this extraordinary place...

Judy's POV

Today is another great one. Like usual, I'm working in ZPD with my fox partner, Nick. We always having fun time together. Sometimes, along with Clawhauser after the shift.

Right now, we just bought a hot of coffee cup but mine, was carrot juice while Nick, mocha.

" You know what, carrots? Thank you for buying me a coffee. This tastes better than in ZPD one." Nick smirk at me.

" That's why I called hustle, sweetheart " I teased him.

" Huh, dumb bunny." Nick's joking

" Hey carrots, i want to asked you something."

I laughed so hard when i hear his funny jokes. Now, i get it what he means. Yeah, morons!

" So, you are gonna called me " morons" for my clumsy act? Haha, funny Nick. You should be grateful that i didn't let you work in cafeteria prison." I teased him again.

" Now, you talking about popsicle aren't you? Well... how about we bought it at souvenir shop? It's my turn to buy it for us!"

" Awwww Nick, you such a good sly foxes. Don't forget, I think we should buy it for Clawhauser too!"

" What do you mean? Who in the world selling donut flavour ice cream?"

We both laughed because of our joking story. Until in the moment, I got a call from chief Bogo from ZPD.

" Yes, chief? Something important? I was with Nick at the street to buy a drinks."

" Hopps, this is important case, unusual case."

" Wait... unusual case? Another criminal again?"

" No! You must come here now!! This is not ordinary criminal, you and Nick, come to ZPD now!"

Chief then had end call. I wonder, what could it be?

" What was that about, carrot? Another criminal case?" Nick asked me.

" No.... I don't think it's about criminal but....it might something else.... I'm not sure what's about but we must go back to ZPD now!"

Nick nodded. We both rush to the ZPD.

At ZPD ( ZOOTOPIA POLICE DEPARTMENT)

We already arrived at ZPD. We all officer had gathered in a room, they all are noisy. Until that, everyone becomes silent once chief entered in this room. Chief look sigh and serious and he talking about the case, we listened him carefully.

* Sigh* alright, everyone. We had got a contact from a teacher that.... one of her student saw..an alien. Chief pinched his nose with disbelief.

Everyone was shocked and couldn't believe what they heard that chief said. I also couldn't believe too. Alien? Really?

" Chief, who's her student, may i asked?" I asked him.

" It was Kyle, Judy. He's the one who saw it, in front of his eyes. Kyle told his teacher that he encountered that thing while he exploring in the mountain forest to take some pictures. When he saw that unknown figure, he hide in the bushes and take the pictures of the alien. Then....."

" Then what, chief?" Nick asked.

" That thing, catch a glance of flashlight and camera sound. That unknown figure then opened the bushes. Kyle was traumatized when that creature give eye contact to him. Kyle said that the creature has intimidating appearance."

" Oh no!! What does that thing looks like, chief?" Clawhauser seems frightening.

" We don't know what that THING looks like but we had to go to meet the witnesses. She probably still at the forest along with their students for safety. We need to get in there and doing Investigate."

" We will go, chief!!"

" Good, after that...." Chief look at three of us.

" Nick, Judy, and Clawhauser.... I want you to find that " alien" and bring it here. I don't want any residents of Zootopia get threatened by that creature." Chief said with stern and serious.

" What!? Me too!? But..!"

" Wether you like it or not, I want you to cooperate with Nick and Judy or else no doughnuts for you got it!?" Chief scold to Clawhauser.

" Don't worry....me and Nick will protect you no matter the cost. Let's find that alien!"

Clawhauser nodded slowly even he's scared. After that, they all had to find that unknown creature. They went to the location where the witnesses saw it.

HUNK'S POV

I was running until I found myself in this unknown area. I found thick big bushes in the retaining wall then i immediately jumped hide deep inside to avoid getting seen by animals. I had no idea where I was but I caught a glance at the board above, it was " Sahara Square." Sahara Square? So... this is the subway station area? Well....i had no choice but to get inside the train but it didn't arrive here yet so i had to wait.

Finally, the train is arrived! Wow, it looks more sophisticated than in my world. The slide door was open. There's various of animals that walk outside, some of them walk while looking at their phone. Without waste the time, i run as fast as I can without being noticed by them. I get inside so fast before the slide door closed. Luckily, there's no passenger inside.

I then find a seat and hide under it to sleep. Damn....i miss my home. How i am going get out of here, in this unknown place? I begin to close my eyes, i fall asleep..

Ken has pretty mixed reviews I think so it’s hard to say if it’s an unpopular opinion to like him. In general I avoid any hate of Ken and just associate with the girlies who are nice to him. BUT I still wanna talk about how much I love Ken anyways so I’ll just answer both parts of this ask 🏂

Kens relationship with Shinji and his specific theories on what happened to his mother vary in each different version of p3 but I’m very much a fan of versions like the movie where the two of them have a sweet bond before Ken learns the truth. Like Ken looking up to shinji and seeing him as just the nicest and coolest guy ever is really cute and the way he nervously asks if Shinji wants to go to the summer festival with him is also so fucking cute. And Shinji feels a mix of shit like obvious guilt and a fear of being too close to Ken but also he’s so fucking protective of Ken too and just wants the kid to be happy and safe and like Shinji is just the kinda guy who’d have a massive soft spot for kids so he definitely would have a soft spot for Ken. But hnnghh I’m not here to talk about that! So yeah I think Ken loves Shinji a lot but then when he discovers the truth everything becomes really fucking complicated. There’s this really good moment in the movie where right before October 4th Ken is taking care of the fish Shinji won for him at the fair (WHICH IS SO CUTE) and he starts crying and is like “of all people, whyd it have to be you?” Which makes me sob so I love like. Ken has known for some time that there was some unnatural bullshit with his mothers death and that she was killed, but he’s been completely invalidated by the police and really any adult he’s tried telling this to. So he just becomes more and more resentful because no one ever takes him seriously and he KNOWS what he saw so he takes it upon himself to reveal the truth and get revenge. His idea of revenge is like a vague idea that just kinda spirals I’d say like he definitely thinks his mom was murdered in an intentional and malicious way so it’s easy to hate her killer and it’s easy to want to kill them. But then when he realizes it’s Shinji it throws him for a loop cuz he loves Shinji and while their time together has been short, he’s a good guy like yeah he’s intimidating and isn’t in control of his persona or his emotions but the idea of him being a murderer is really hard to believe. But Ken has been building this idea in his head for so long and he’s so young and has been told everything is black and white so he tries to carry out his plan anyways. AND THIS IS JUST MY PERSONAL BELIEF but if they hadn’t been interrupted I genuinely don’t think Ken would’ve been able to kill Shinji. I think he would’ve been standing there shaking and sweating like IM GONNA DO IT IM GONNA GET YOU but he doesn’t move at most he would injure Shinji but he wouldn’t kill him. He isn’t in his right mind and his worldview is shattering I think he could’ve been talked out of it cuz he’s a good kid man and he was very clearly hesitant

So yeah I love his relationship with shinji and his rage that comes from grief and invalidation, he really does just need a fucking hug. And I love how sweet he is how much he cares about the others and how like. He really is just 10 years old and you just wanna get him outta there lol like he should not be fighting shadows he should be playing shadow the hedgehog 😭

And my ass is always here to appreciate p3p and its themes like oh my godddd AAAAAA. Anyone who says Kotone goes against the theme of the game is just like. Stupid? And misogynistic obviously. Cuz i really truly don’t see how??? Like genuinely don’t know how that conclusion can be reached other than misogynistic nonsense. I love Kotone she’s a very good protagonist I’d say what really makes her work for me in contrast with the other protagonists is like. She isn’t some sorta Perfect Ideal Man for the straight men playing to project onto like just by being a girl they kinda had to throw that idea out the window lol and she’s just like silly and goofy, she isn’t this perfect amazing mold she’s just chilling. And I also obviously like her cuz yay female protagonist lol

I think Kotone brings out the best in the team like portables version of the characters is the ideal way of experiencing them like they’re so so good and i really really felt like everyone loved and cared for each other cuz that’s a problem that persona games have imo (in 4 UGHHH they all just like treated each other horribly and everyone acts like they’re such great friends and I’m like. What game did you play sir). And obviously her social links are leagues better like why would I want the alternative like hello Akihiko and Shinji are literally the stars and the moon that’s so fucking good and I can hang out with Ken and a dog and a cool librarian girl. I’ll say the romance options are pretty shit but guys honestly, persona romance routes have never really been GOOD

Then I guess the big controversy, the pocket watch coma route, I’ve gone on record pretty much every goddamn day voicing my love for this aspect of the game like. It’s all the same; Shinji is deeply suicidal and literally dies thinking he deserves it, his death being “necessary” for the theme to work is such a slap in the face to me like it comes off as either Shinji dying was meant to be a lesson to the audience to not live like him cuz that’d be wasting your life which is, really shitty and inconsiderate like good god I think being depressed because you can’t control your emotions and you accidentally killed a woman when you were 16 is pretty justified i dont think you can just “move on” from that. The alternative is his death is supposed to be this tragedy that the player must overcome because they’re trying to say that death happens and you lose people and it sucks but that doesn’t mean life isn’t worth living which. First off, literally all these characters have already lost someone important to them so killing off Shinji is completely unnecessary and second uh. I feel like if that’s the lesson you wanna teach, shouldn’t Shinji be like the ideal character to teach it to??? And like I’ve said this many times but it’s really hard for me to feel good about this games themes when the character whose struggles i related to most apparently needed to die for the message to work like. Thanks for that 😞. I don’t think you have to avoid ever writing suicide or like bad things happening to suicidal characters but this specific instance was just. Oh it was so bad I hate it so much I refuse to play any version of this game where Shinji dies I refuse.

So uh basically when he gets to live, specifically through the power of friendship, it means so much to me. It’s a good way of showing how simple acts of kindness can go a long way and we keep each other alive by being loving to one another and taking care of each other and that’s what life’s all about. And I like optimism and love being used to show life is worth living cuz that’s way more effective in making me want to live than some fear mongering shit. So yeah I’m clinging onto Shinji getting to live for dear life it’s actually so so important to me that someone like him get a chance to realize he’s worth something and he deserves to be alive and happy and he can get there one day. Makes me feel less hopeless 🥰

And I’ll just leave with this: the most important thing in the world is in the stage play when Shinji wakes up from his coma Ken gives him a massive hug and I cry and I sob and I die

I love all the scenes with the brothers.

When Kanat says this and you see Aziz’s utter quiet rage that he dares to say that because he’s not the one beaten non-stop and how dare he equate them. But the thing is, even if Aziz is too damaged tor realize it, Kanat has also been badly abused, even if not as badly as Aziz.

Kanat is a total mess with attachment issues and a ball of rage, at himself and others, but he’s by far the sanest person in that cursed family.

And there is something in Aziz that wants to hope, to believe, to heal but the rest of him is too hurt to let it come to the fore.

And that’s the crux in it. Riza is an evil genius because by picking one child to constantly beat and the other to never hit (even if he destroys his stuff and makes him pick whether Riza will beat his mom or his brother), he’s done his best to have the brothers turn on each other, the way they probably wouldn’t have if he beat them both equally (Aziz does not truly hate and resent their mother, and I think it’s in large part because she gets beaten as well.) Aziz, who suffers the brunt of horrifying abuse, sees Kanat as an enemy.

Kanat can dream because he’s less damaged but even his hope doesn’t exactly have a plan...

AAAAAA! Characters who know the utility of therapy are my jam. Like - I love that Kanat realizes his brother is sick but I also love that he uses plural - it could mean that he just means he will be with Aziz as Aziz seeks treatment but I sincerely hope it means he knows they both need it, because they both do. 

Ooof. In a way, this is a paradoxical way for Aziz to assert control over a life where he has none - if he is born evil and can’t be fixed, that means it’s OK he can’t escape and seek help - there is no help to be had, it means his father is right to beat the hell out of him. Oh God.

Oh, Aziz.

You know, I never disliked Aziz for trying to take his brother’s life apart - he’s so horrifically abused, so terribly damaged, and he so displaces all his suffering on Kanat, that to see Kanat find happiness and peace and love feels like the ultimate unfairness of the universe to him, like grace to the undeserving.

This show is largely a soap that is equal parts insane and entertaining, but the portrayal of damage and abuse and attempts to cope feels real even within that.

Please, thinking about how much neglect Hawks went through makes me so sad :( like not only does mans probably not know how to read or write but he was probably so far behind with EVERYTHING.

I am sure 100% his parents didn't teach him anything and the only resource he had of the world outside of his little shack was the TV (which his mum was practically glued to and it clearly didn't work well) so he wasn't going to learn much from that.

Like he probably couldn't even count past like 12, didn't know what most things were, didn't understand phrases (like in mean girls the "omg shut up" "I didn't say anything?" type of deal) and I know this child didn't know how to use chopsticks, like imagine when he gets taken in by the commission and he has to sit there for like an hour every meal cos he can't pick up his food without dropping it :( like I really think being so behind as a child is why he's so fast as an adult, he had to go really fast and cram to get to the normal level of a 7 year old and when he got there he just continued that speed, you know ?

Also, when we see him saving the people in the car crash he's got a little shopping bag, I like to imagine him paying for that if he couldn't read or count like the shopkeeper says its 300 yen and he thinks 1 note = 1 yen and he doesn't know how much 300 yen is but its clearly a Big Number and he definitely only has 4 yen so he starts freaking out like how is he going to get his mother money if things cost this much? But it turns out he actually DOES have enough money and now he's so confused because he now has 0 clue how money works so everytime after that he just prays that he has enough money for what he's picked up.

I also have a head canon that the reason why his boots are Like That is cos the first time he ever wore shoes was when he was on the streets with his mum and after 7 years of bare feet, walking in proper shoes was terrible so he preferred boots with hardly any sole that were so big they could barley fit his feet cos that felt most similar to walking bare foot and although he could walk fine in any shoe as an adult the boots were just never changed.

I also have this sad thought that like what if no one actually knows Hawks' real birthday ? Like I genuinely don't think Tomie was in a state of mind that allowed her to know or remember exact dates, not even the date that her son was born so when the commission asks when he was born she's just like "around Christmas? Maybe after?" So they just give him a birthday that matches that vague description :'(

yeah i remember talking with a friend and we about like.....what if baby keigo wrote in a diary! and since this was abt the ghost fic i was writing the ua kids were going to find his old diary and read it and probably cry. But then we realized......he wasn’t allowed to leave the house. Definitely did not go to school. Very much doubt that either tomie or his father taught him to read or write. If he knew any words at all, he would have learned them when his parents left him alone in the house and he could switch the TV to kids shows where they try to be educational.

Aaaa that would be really sad if they didn’t even know his birthday ;_; my personal headcanon is that when he was younger his mom was more....there. It’s hard to take care of a baby, you have to be extremely careful because they can get hurt so easily. I like to think that until he could walk well, tomie actually did a pretty good job! she held him and fed him and maybe even sang to him. They were pals, he was her only friend. And then as soon as he could survive without her constant attention.....she just kind of.......withered, without that urgency. so tldr i think she would have remembered his birthday, and maybe even remembers newborn keigo with some fondness. and then let herself slip back into helplessness as soon as she could ;_;

The hpsc planned to immediately start hero training, but instead, they have to teach him how to count, how to read basic characters, how to hold a pencil, how to tie his shoes (UGH you have me considering the tragic boots backstory how dare you.....) .maybe bc he couldn’t tie his shoes he just preferred zipper to save himself the embarrassment (I STILL HATE THE BOOTS, TO BE CLEAR).

Aryll's two closest friends are classmates of hers who live nearby in Castle Town-

Cami- A young Rito girl, and daughter of the Rito liaison to Central Hyrule. Aryll has known her since she was three. She's a spitfire in personality but kind where it matters, and is quite athletic... already learning how to use a bow, playing sports in the streets with the other kids, and finding any excuse to take a quick flight over town. Compared to everything else she's not the best flyer so far, but it always takes Rito children a good few years to build up their aerial skills. (Aryll sometimes wishes she had wings like her.)

Asher- A young Hylian boy Aryll met when she was around eight, and son of a local baker in town. He's already learning to take up his father's trade, and is lukewarm on it. (Aryll definitely can relate... she's all but expected to take up her mother's trade when she grows up, too.) The lad's bookish and somewhat shy, striking quite a contrast with Aryll and Cami, but the three of them get along quite well. Aryll just wishes people would stop teasing her and Asher for 'liking' each other because they're always playing and hanging out. She literally just sees him as a friend. (And, as she realizes later in life, doesn't even like boys in that way- she's sapphic.)

It all started during a beach trip. It was a very hot day, so you got rid of your clothes and stayed in your swimwear. You pulled Jihyun to the ocean but since he was wearing shorts and a shirt, he could only join you until the ocean reached his knees. You told him he should just stay in his swimwear but he refused using a lame excuse. You were about to tease him about it but immediately recognized a hint of pain in his eyes so you just let it go.

The next time it happened was during a lazy Sunday morning. The light was entering your shared bedroom window, making him glow and look beautiful and you couldn’t help but kiss him. The intimacy of the moment filled your senses, wanting nothing more than to touch him and feel him close. Your hands sneaked under the old t-shirt he used as a pajama and just as you were tracing his abs, you felt his hand closing around your wrist. The same pain you had seen at the beach was present again in his teal eyes, only this time there was a pinch of fear with it. After a couple of seconds of looking at each other, he quickly let you go, muttering an apology. Before you could get the courage to ask him about it, he kissed your forehead and left the bed, mumbling something about breakfast.

The third time was after rain surprised you in the middle of a long walk. Both of you ran inside your home soaking wet, laughing as you closed the door behind you. You took off your coat and helped Jihyun get out of his as well. Looking at him laugh so earnestly, some of his hair sticking to his face made you realize how truly beautiful he really was. “I love you so much,” you whispered and he widened his eyes, taken aback. Soon after, he smiled at you and promised he loved you as well.

Not being able to resist, you pulled him closer, feeling his drenched clothes against yours. You held his face in between your hands and pressed your lips against his. His hands found their way to the small of your back as he kissed you. You had loved than man for years, loved him when you stayed awake at that cabin taking care of him and you loved him when he left. You loved him even more the day he returned to your arms and swore you would never let go again. Your hands trailed down his jaw and neck, making their way to his shirt, where you started unbuttoning it slowly. You felt him tensing under your touch and his hands clasped over yours once more. You searched for his eyes and saw the same look again, the pain, the fear and now, you could recognize a bit of shame amongst them.

“Please,” you whispered and you felt his hands tremble. A few seconds later, you felt his grip loosen. His eyes avoided yours as you began unbuttoning his shirt, one by one, measuring his reactions to know if you were pushing too hard. His shirt slid down from his shoulders and you noticed him wincing.

Even with the dimming lights coming through the windows of the living room, the burn scars were more than visible for you to notice. They were big and covered a good portion of his pale chest. While they didn’t hold much coloring, the wrinkled skin gave them away. Some of them were thick while some of them made his skin look so frail your heart ached for him. You found yourself tracing his scars with your fingers as softly as you could, while you thought about the fire he had whispered to you during a late night. The memories of his mother were present in each one of his scars and, knowing him like you knew now, you could tell those scars could not even begin to show the emotional pain he must have been under all those years.

Lowering your head, your lips found the closest scar, one just below his collarbone and placed a small kiss. You felt Jihyun’s body tensing, his face immediately turning to you. You looked up at him and noticed his previously avoidant eyes filling up with tears. You moved your lips to another scar, one in the middle of his chest and probably the biggest one and pressed the softest of kisses on top of it. Jihyun’s hands held onto your shoulders as if he was to lose balance any second. You continued looking for every scar on his trembling chest, pressing kisses on them, your nose nuzzling his skin as you looked for another one.

When you finally stretched your back and looked at Jihyun’s teal eyes again, you noticed his face damped with tears, small sobs stil. Stepping on your toes, you pressed a kiss on the corner of his quivering mouth.

“You’re so beautiful,” you said against his lips, your hands on top of his shoulder blades, thumb stroking his skin softly. “And I’m so in love with you.”

This time, it was Jihyun who pressed his lips against yours, finding comfort in your touch and soft words. You stayed locked in a tight embrace, wet clothes from the rain and quiet love promises, knowing you had finally torn down the last standing wall in between you both.

ushijima would be deadass confused on why they would call you mom, he would be like '???' like one of his eyebrows would be raised as he looked at the team in a confused manner.

poor baby wouldn't get it. but after a moment of silence he would be like "ah..." because he would realize that his s/o had this instinct to baby the first and second years and tendo

tendo would pat ushijima's back as he laughed at ushijima's dense self.

you were naturally caring and kind enough to be considered as a mother and he would probably think--

"she would make a great mother someday."

KUROO TETSURO :

AND OF COURSE LEV AND INUOKA STARTED THIS.

this probably happened while you guys were eating on the snack that you bought over to the boys, and when you handed lev and inuoka their snacks they would be like

"THANK YOU MOMMY!" with the flowers in the background, making you flustered for a moment

and Kuroo will be like "oho? isn't it a little too soon for you to have children?" he'll say that with his smirk or grin, either way, he's a smug bi--

"KUROO!" you yelled out and yaku was already on it, throwing a water bottle at kuroo who was hit on the head, you gave yaku a thumbs up and he returned it with a nod and proceeded to eat the snack you bought him

you giggled when kuroo got up as he rubbed the back of his head, grumbling at how you and yaku teamed up against him.

"traitors..." he'd mutter and you'd just kiss him on the cheek and he'll smile at you.
