Hey amazing Inex! Was rereading for the umpteenth time the Warlord AU and I was thinking about the mantikittens;

Does any of them go back to see their blood family?

Apologies if it has been asked before, it just popped into my mind and would not leave me alone!

I want to write Maja's reunion with her family, although the bunny is fighting me.

On the one hand, they're going to be very glad their daughter, who they have mourned for some years now, is alive.

On the other hand, they're Redanian and she's now a Witcher. Which means she's either a monster to be feared or technically a noble now, and either way...not quite the daughter they lost.

I felt inspired by the coin asks so I drew some of the designs that people mentioned. As someone who is studying to be a historian I really liked designing them, because coins were a wonderful way to spread propaganda, and it’s very telling what people put on them. Just putting the lute as a symbol for Jaskier on one side would have been a very telling message about how important Jaskier is to Geralt.

Also maybe the coins with the Witcher school designs could be dispersed in the areas that the schools were before they all came to Kear Morhen.

@inexplicifics 's most recently published chapter in Like Stones in a Running Stream has a single stanza written for one of Jaskier's songs that is so vividly well written that i could hear the melodies that i grew up with almost immediately. Im not particularly talented with instruments beyond banging a hand to the rhythm and my voice is occasionally nonexistent on my bad days but i had to. Blame the former theater kid that is a much younger with less scar tissue in their lungs me.

(A side note. The background noises are me making coffee. I wasn't prepared to be recorded at the time lol.)

Tempted to write an AU of an AU of an AU.

In @inexplicifics's Must Brave The Thorns, it's suggested a few times that if Aiden had still been around, Geralt and Eskel might have picked Coen as Milena's arranged husband.

I'm now picturing that scenario, where Coen is very polite but Milena is still obviously terrified, so Lambert still hands her a dagger and offers to help teach her to use it. After a bit of confusion where Milena tries to ask her new husband permission and Coen thinks she's asking whether Lambert would be a good person to learn from, Milena agrees to the lessons.

Coen explains that he's not interested in sex so he and Milena have a very polite, formal relationship in public, and some very private sleeping arrangements.

And of course, through the dagger lessons, she finds herself attracted to Lambert and seeing his kindness beneath his prickles - except now she's married to someone else and this lust is entirely inappropriate. And Lambert is happily in a relationship with Aiden and freaking out about being attracted to someone else.

I can see a lot of potential for angst with Milena refusing an approach by Lambert because it would be a scandal for a married woman to have sex with him, and he just interprets it as being that of course this dainty, noble woman wouldn't be interested in a barbarian like him.

Aiden is jealous about Lambert being into someone else and worried about losing him, and worms his way into their "dates" as a third wheel so that he doesn't miss out on time with Lambert, only to find that he actually likes Milena too.

And eventually Coen gets sick of them all being anxious and stressed about their emotions and makes them talk it all through.

No Secrets in Kaer Morhen - Ch 1: Arrival

MHA/Witcher Crossover (Specifically - Accidental Warlord AU inspired) Rating: T Relationships: Many (multiple background established relationships AWAU world plus eventual Aizawa/Yagi) Words: 5,262 out of ?

Summary:

Yagi Toshinori gets hit with a Quirk and now he's somewhere very unfamiliar and where nobody knows who he is. The anonymity is sort of refreshing and the people here are good people. But his meds have run out, he misses the few folk he's gotten attached to since he started teaching at UA and he has no idea what the conditions of the Quirk are for getting back to Japan. He can only hope they're working on things on their side. Kaer Morhen is used to the strange happening by this point, but despite the fact that Witchers were created to fight the monsters that fell into their world ages back, they hadn't expected to literally see someone from another world appear in their training yard. He's very odd, but seems a good sort and they can smell how much pain he's in - Looks like they've collected (adopted) another stray, for however long he stays.

I have finally started posting the thing. technically thing is not finished but i have a bunch of chapters ready to go.

THE WITCHER Flung to Catch a Star by inexplicifics WIP, (Eskel/Geralt/Jaskier), 63k, Accidental Warlord AU      Morvran Voorhis, first-ranked prince of Nilfgaard, has been sent to Kaer Morhen on a diplomatic mission. His tasks are twofold: first, negotiate a nonaggression treaty between the wild barbarian Warlord of the North and the Nilfgaardian Empire. And second, ingratiate himself with the mysterious Warlord’s daughter and heir apparent, Princess Cirilla.      Sir Cahir Mawr Dyffryn aep Ceallach, a Vicovaran knight, has been assigned to protect young Prince Voorhis on this mission. Prince Voorhis may be the best of a bad lot, but Cahir’s still not looking forward to the threats or the temperature of a winter in the distant North.      They both know their mission is a dangerous one. But they don’t know where the true danger lies…and while they know how to navigate Nilfgaard’s treacherous court, they are not prepared for Kaer Morhen. He almost jumps at the sound as his dog, Lud, barks in surprise. Henryk quickly stands, moving to answer his door, and nearly gapes at the sight.

Magda looks up to him, her bluish lips shaking.

“Oh, little duck,” he says softly, quickly ushering her inside. He corrals her to the chimney side; she’s shaking like a leaf. “Why are you outside?”

“Papa said I was bad,” she quietly answers, and Henryk hisses between his teeth. “Said I had to sleep in the barn until I was good again… but last time I was good only after a week, and I’m so cold, Sir Henryk.”

This is sad. Like really, really sad. Inspired by Shireen Baratheon's death in GOT, just so y'all know. Major Child Death, child abuse and grief.

Alright; so I watched a video of Davos's anger towards Melisandre about Shireen's death, and hated that she got off way too nicely, so I wrote this.

It ended up way longer than it was supposed to be, and I've been working on it for a week, so I'm glad I got the angst out of my system.

This is not a happy fic. There is fluff, and parental feels, but it's sad.

It's in the accidental Warlord AU of @inexplicifics universe, when the Wolf takes Redania, but the politics are really in the background. I love to play with side characters, so thats what I did.

It's not clear in the stories, and the games/show wasn't exactly helpfull, so I just tried a bunch of things, drawing from a bunch of different periods. If I draw more I'll share.

I have finally been bitten by a plot bunny NOT in the Star Wars universe. @inexplicifics's Accidental Warlord AU of the Witcher finally got me on the *mumbles*-th reread. This is in a very much 'time line, what time line?' AU of an AU. We'll see if I ever get this done. But have some lines from the opening — bunny kicks land surprisingly hard btw.
