You'll have to excuse me, I'm not an expert in the world of "Jimbert", but whilst going through some grainy-fuzzy-out of focus-but it's Zeppelin and therefore precious so I need to watch it -footage, I couldn't help but notice the somewhat suggestive position Robert took for this part of Achilles where he and Jimmy often put their heads together and sing. Jonesy and Bonzo seem to be casually looking elsewhere as if they felt bad for intruding on some one-on-one time. Or was this pose quite common? I'm constantly peering trying to see the drums, so often miss what's going on up front.
I know it's been a while since I did anything here, much less made a post about an update to this great beast I've been working on for so many years.
But here, now, I am proud to announce that the beast has been slain. I have finally finished Achilles' Last Stand!! Its final chapters are freshly posted on AO3 and ready for your enjoyment. Thank you so much for anyone who has stuck through it with me on this long, long journey. We have finally made it. We have earned this rest.
Hoping to springboard from this into original work, so if you liked Achilles' Last Stand, please stick around, there will be good things in the future! (Eventually. I am still Not Fast.)
Thanks for all the support and suggestions over the years, and @alexenglish and @lozenger8 I completely expect you both to read it through, since you two were the ones who lit this fire all those years ago.
Would you care for some second season Achilles Last Stand? I don't think there’s a lot of it floating around. Jimmy looks so happy and animated at the end <3
Oh, and is it "send New York a glancing kiss" after all? Damn your criptic pronounciation Bob.
Led Zeppelin - "Achilles Last Stand"
From the bootleg Destroyer
(Recorded April 27, 1977)
Last song scrobbled from iTunes at Last.fm
Live in Cleveland at the Richfield Coliseum, April 27, 1977, never mind the cover art..
Soundboard recording, evidently stolen from the band. First night of two at the venue along the band's 1977 North American tour. An audience taping of the second night also exists, usually called THE Destroyer
They actually played this on the radio today--but that particular station is amazing like that (that's what you get when it's locally owned and can get away with whatever you like).

After the disastrous events in Sokovia, the entire existence of the Avengers is put into question.
