See your Female Arjuna and crave for reverse, what if Karna born girl
“I do not have a son,” Pritha says once her husband has finished his enumeration of the ways in which they could obtain heirs despite the curse keeping him forcibly celibate, just as though she is an ignorant girl in some backwater village. Behind his back, Madri rolls her eyes in what would be brazen mockery from one less graceful, and is still amusing enough to make Pritha purse her lips to avoid a smile.
“Ah,” Pandu says. “Very well, O Blessed One, we will contrive a solution.”
They know, each as well as the other, what solution it is likely to be: one from the getting of a child and the other from being begotten. They look away to the soil, to the sky, both mortified, while fearless Madri glances from one to another, curious.
“I do not have a son,” Pritha says again, “but, O King, I have been blessed by the sage Durvasa and can summon the gods into my embrace.”
Pandu’s head swings up, eyes shining eager, pale face flushing a blotchy red. So eager, her valiant husband, like a boy on his first hunt, a pup on the scent.
It is Madri who says, “May not such gifts be perilous in mortal hands? You may win a son and lose a wife, O Husband.”
It would be heartwarming if Pritha could be certain it wasn’t manipulative instead. Regardless, she reaches out to tangle her fingers with Madri’s, and smiles at Pandu before saying, “I cannot be certain it will be a son, but you will lose no wives to this quest. In my thoughtless youth I summoned Aditya to my bed and he left me a daughter golden as dawn-bright Usha.”
Vasu is conscious of the stares she’s getting, on top of the stares all of them are getting. It is foolish how unprepared she feels for any of it when they had discussed the likely situation every night after the younger children had fallen asleep, she and Yudh shoulder to shoulder facing their mother like disciples, supplicants. Queen Pritha was lovely in the forest, but with every day on the road she has grown more splendid: at the head of the procession now she looks like an idol into which some god has breathed life. Her children and stepsons, Vasu diagnoses with an expert eye, are far less presentable. Vasu is the only one of them to have ever inhabited a city, a palace, and she was only four when outriders from Pandu took her from the arms of the nanny she’d thought was her mother.
“They’re looking at us,” Arjun complains from behind her shoulder, his pony nudging at her geldling. “I don’t like it.”
Arjun is her absolute favourite, a thing which she does not even attempt to disguise. But he is, like all little brothers—and Vasu is an expert in the matter, having five—an annoying brat with a gift for overstating the obvious.
“It’ll be worse when we get to the palace,” Bhim says ghoulishly. “All those cousins!”
“I’m sure they’ll be nice,” Vasu tells him. “Now look after the twins, I need to go talk to Yudh. Don’t hare off on a ride, this isn’t like home.”
It would be home, it would have to be, but for all she’s nineteen and a woman grown, Vasu feels for a moment as shockingly young as Madri’s sons: nine and still bawling for their parents every night.
The cousins are awful. The aunt is fine if remote, the uncles are… Vasu isn’t sure what she thinks of the uncles, for all they make it very clear what they variously think of her: Shakuni a tool, Vidura a protege, Dhritarashtra the possibility for an alliance. Grand-Uncle Bhishma, if he notices her beyond the archery, does not approve. It’s fine, Vasu’s not looking for approval and she is, she knows she is, an aberration, out of place in the neat story of Pandu’s sons, like an extra thumb on a hand.
But the cousins, oh the cousins. The eldest of them is the girl, Dushala, a month or so younger than Yudh and nearly as quiet. Then the unending stream of boys, led by Suyodhan who would be comely if he weren’t scowling and Sushasan whose name is a despairing parent’s fond wish. Vasu felt guilty for not being able to keep all their names in mind, but only a little because Yudh couldn’t either. Probably their mother could, as she’d always known not only the names but histories of all the servants, sages and itinerant mendicants they encountered. To Vasu they’re a river of troubles that Bhim keeps enthusiastically diving into to take on the crocodiles and eels in the depths.
And then the river tries to drown him. Vasu listens dry-eyed to their mother’s reasoning and agrees to keep it quiet. Then she and Yudh go out to their favourite hiding-place—and what a horror it is that they need such a spot, here in the home of her brothers’ father—and drink their way steadily through the last of their year’s stash of honeymead. In the morning she bawls them all out, makes them swear to never venture away from each other, never listen to their cousins, never trust anyone in service to the princes of the Elephant Throne.
It should, Vasu knows, be rather a surprise that it has taken so long for anyone to plot her marriage than to find it in her mother's plans, but it has been so long, and she is twenty-one and old for it, that it comes as a shock to have Queens Pritha and Gandhari turn to her one morning while she's doing her best to be unobtrusive, and say
"It is a good match."
"We do need eyes in Kampilya."
Another thing unsurprising, that it is her mother who cares for the politics of it openly and her aunt tries to disguise it with words of care.
It is, and they do. Vasu does not bother protesting that she has little interest in men and less in marriage, or that she would far prefer to watch her brothers grow into the glorious heroes they’re sure to become. She is Pandu’s daughter by adoption and Pritha’s by birth, a woman of the Yadavas far more than of the Kauravas: a political animal from curled hair to painted toenails. Better alliances will keep Yudh’s throne more stable, and their cousins have sent away their only girl.
The boys are gratifyingly miserable, Bhim cooking up a storm and Arjun coaxing her into archery lessons he no longer needs and the twins mutely clinging. With all that it is hardest to bid farewell to Yudh, who takes it all with dry eyes and a clenched jaw. He is seventeen, too old to need or heed her assurances, this brother whose birth restored her to her mother's arms and found her the only father she has ever had.
“You will see me again,” she tells him at last, and prods at him when he mulishly rounds his shoulders. “It is not so far in a light chariot, from here to Kampilya.”
“We met the twins’ uncle last year,” Yudh counters, “and our own never to this day.”
“My sons will see theirs,” she tells him as she gets up to dress, as her maids have been begging her for half the morning. “I’ll come to your coronation, little brother.”
Three years, five months and nine days after she sees them for the last time, a messenger comes to Vasupriya with news of her brothers’ death.
Her husband finds her in the outer courtyard of their quarters, methodically shredding a dropped tailfeather from one of the peacocks thronging the walls.
“We set out at dawn,” Shikhandi says, dropping to sit beside her and taking her wringing hands between his. "It is not so far in a light chariot."

Chandrika
Chandrika peeled her sweaty back off the stone floor. The summer was particularly unforgiving this year. The days were long and humid, the sun was beating down on their backs with the intention of turning them to ash. The thick walls of the fort barely did anything to help with the heat. The day was humid and still. There was not a single waft of breeze.
“O Suryadev, what have we done that has angered you so much?” Chandrika lamented. The sun did not offer a reply.
Chandrika sighed. This summer had been a particularly boring one. The long summer days stretched by without event. Asha visited from time to time, but her family was keeping her busy at the temple. They performed Yajna after Yajna, anything to subdue “The wrath of the Sun God”. Ever since that night, The House of Surya was convinced that Suryadev’s wrath had been unleashed upon them as a form of punishment. Punishment for Soumya’s actions, punishment that they too would have to suffer through, for they had let him get away with it. So now they performed Yajnas, sacrificed atleast 20 goats everyday, did everything in their power to appease him. They believed that if they failed, Suryadev would burn so bright, that everyone and everything would be destroyed. Total annihilation, for the actions of one entitled pig. Thanks a lot, Soumya. Chandrika did not understand why they had to suffer for what an insufferable twat did. It’s not like they had let him get away with it, that wasn’t exactly true. He did rot in jail, all throughout the winter, and he was exiled by the House of Agni. But no, that wasn’t enough for the House of Surya. They had demanded that his blood be spilled inside the temple he had dared to desecrate. But Chandrika’s father had intervened. He along with Asha had reasoned that Soumyas death could not only mean war, but it would also be in violation to the oath they had taken vowing never to spill each other’s blood. The Gods do take oaths very seriously, and breaking one would be a greater offense. Lord Aditya, head of the house of Surya, had begrudgingly agreed. And so, Soumya was allowed to go free, as long as he promised to stay out of trouble. Like he would ever keep that promise, thought Chandrika darkly. These days Asha visited less and less. As her father’s advisor and diplomat, she had to travel to faraway cities and secure relations. Jaya had stopped visiting entirely. She was off doing Gods know what in the sea, and she had been gone the whole summer. With her friends gone, she had little to do. She stopped visiting Aranya too, since Soumya was staying at the House of Chandra, and she did not want to risk running into him, because she was sure she would strangle him if she saw him.
And so, she had nowhere to go either.
She wished that her father would give her more responsibilities, especially since she was 21 and the heir to her house. But her father insisted that she wasn’t ready, and travelling was dangerous for her, since there were many who would love to kill her. And so, she was confined to her chambers, studying endlessly to prepare for her future role.
What was the use studying, she thought, if she couldn’t apply any of her knowledge to real life? She helped her father with some of his affairs, but she wasn’t allowed to go off to other places like Jaya or Asha without her family accompanying her. She felt suffocated more and more as each day passed by.
She looked out her window. In this heat, no one was out in the gardens. Even the birds were hiding in cooling trees. It seemed as though the world was holding its breath for something to happen.
Suddenly there was a knock at the door.
“My lady” said the maid who had entered the chamber “His grace summons you”.
Father. He rarely summoned her. He barely had any time to spare for her. If he had summoned her, it must be important. Her heart sped up a bit with excitement.
“Tell him I’ll be with him in a minute.”
This summer might pick up after all.

Deer Park in Delhi: A Tranquil Escape
Delhi, the bustling capital of India, is known for its historical monuments, vibrant markets, and rich cultural heritage. Amidst the urban hustle and bustle, the city offers several green spaces that provide a peaceful escape. One such serene retreat is the Deer Park in Delhi. This lush green park, located in the heart of the city, is a haven for nature lovers and a popular spot for leisure activities. Another noteworthy green space in the city is the Japanese Park in Delhi, which also offers a tranquil environment for relaxation and recreation. In this article, we will explore the various attractions and features of Deer Park in Delhi and highlight its significance as a green oasis in the urban landscape.
Tumblr media
History and Overview of Deer Park
Deer Park, also known as Aditya Nath Jha Deer Park, is located in the Hauz Khas area of South Delhi. The park spans over an area of approximately 60 acres and is part of a larger green expanse that includes the Hauz Khas Complex and District Park. The park gets its name from the large population of deer that inhabit the area. It is managed by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and serves as an important ecological and recreational space for the city's residents.
The history of Deer Park dates back to the medieval period when the area was part of the Hauz Khas Complex, a water reservoir built by Sultan Alauddin Khilji in the 13th century. The park has evolved over the years to become a popular destination for families, fitness enthusiasts, and nature lovers.
Attractions and Features of Deer Park
1. Deer Enclosure
One of the main attractions of Deer Park is the deer enclosure, where visitors can observe herds of spotted deer (chital) in their natural habitat. The enclosure is well-maintained, providing a safe environment for the deer while allowing visitors to enjoy their graceful presence. The sight of deer grazing and moving around in the lush green surroundings is a delightful experience for both children and adults.
2. Hauz Khas Lake
Adjacent to Deer Park is the Hauz Khas Lake, a historic water reservoir that adds to the park's charm. The lake was originally constructed during the reign of Alauddin Khilji to supply water to the inhabitants of the city. Today, it serves as a picturesque spot for boating and picnicking. The lake is surrounded by well-manicured lawns and walking paths, making it an ideal place for a leisurely stroll or a relaxing afternoon by the water.
3. Rose Garden
The Rose Garden within Deer Park is a vibrant and colorful section that features a variety of rose species. The garden is meticulously maintained, with blooming roses of different hues creating a stunning visual display. The Rose Garden is particularly popular during the winter months when the roses are in full bloom, attracting visitors who come to admire the beauty and fragrance of the flowers.
4. Walking and Jogging Trails
Deer Park is crisscrossed with well-paved walking and jogging trails that wind through the lush greenery. These trails are a favorite among fitness enthusiasts who come to the park for their daily exercise routines. The tranquil environment, fresh air, and scenic views make it a perfect place for jogging, walking, or practicing yoga. The park also has several benches and resting spots along the trails for visitors to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.
5. Bird Watching
Deer Park is a haven for bird watchers, with a diverse population of bird species inhabiting the area. The park's dense vegetation and proximity to the Hauz Khas Lake create a conducive environment for various birds, including parakeets, peacocks, ducks, and migratory species. Bird enthusiasts can often be seen with their binoculars and cameras, capturing the beauty of the avian residents.
6. Picnic Areas
The park offers several designated picnic areas where families and groups of friends can gather for a fun-filled day out. The sprawling lawns, shaded by tall trees, provide ample space for picnics, games, and other recreational activities. Visitors can bring their own food and enjoy a meal amidst the serene and green surroundings. The park's peaceful ambiance makes it a popular spot for weekend outings and family gatherings.
7. Historical Monuments
Deer Park is home to several historical monuments that add to its cultural and architectural significance. The Hauz Khas Complex, located adjacent to the park, includes ancient structures such as the Hauz Khas Lake, Feroz Shah's Tomb, and the Madrasa (Islamic school). These monuments offer a glimpse into Delhi's rich history and provide a unique blend of natural beauty and historical heritage. Exploring these structures is a fascinating experience for history buffs and architecture enthusiasts.
Tumblr media
Japanese Park in Delhi
While Deer Park is a well-known green space in Delhi, another notable park worth mentioning is the Japanese Park in Delhi. Located in Rohini, Japanese Park is a beautifully landscaped park that draws inspiration from traditional Japanese gardens. The park features meticulously maintained lawns, scenic walking paths, and serene water bodies. It is an ideal place for a peaceful retreat, offering a tranquil environment away from the city's hustle and bustle.
Japanese Park is known for its aesthetic appeal, with cherry blossom trees, stone lanterns, and decorative bridges adding to its charm. The park also has dedicated play areas for children, making it a family-friendly destination. Visitors can enjoy boating on the park's lake, relax by the water's edge, or take a leisurely walk along the well-paved pathways. The park's serene ambiance and picturesque setting make it a popular spot for picnics, photography, and recreational activities.

We just wanted to thank all of our beautiful applicants for taking the time out to curate such unique and intricate characters for our little Wonderland - we’re so grateful for all of your interest, and we had such a delight reading over everyone’s brilliant ideas and creativity!
Please remember to send us your blog within 24 hours va DMs or ask and review the accepted CHECKLIST and the TRIGGERS page.
ASHLEY has fallen down the rabbit hole and into Wonderland. The city is pleased to welcome into its folds Clementine Vos | [ FC: Alice Vink ] under the guise of LILY.
Ashley, you absolutely spoil us with your application – there is such an edge to Clementine, yet somewhere there is a sort of cold softness that seeps through your depiction of her. We cannot get over how gorgeously you managed to emulate our Lily, how she is precariously set in the balance of her family and the White Queen and how she is half-digested by Wonderland already. Your characterization of her is to die for and we are on the floor at your prose – “in reality—or perhaps a moment of insanity, of near-death—it is just another thing to be broken if you are meant to live.” We can’t get enough of her and would happily let her crush us. Welcome to Wonderland!
AVI has fallen down the rabbit hole and into Wonderland. The city is pleased to welcome into its folds Augustus “Gus” Grover | [ FC: Aditya Roy Kapur ] under the guise of GRYPHON.
Avi, you know where our hearts are – Augustus is a character that we both root for whilst being intimidated by, and your application had us sympathizing with him and wanting to see what spiral Wonderland can throw him into at the same time. He has so many complexities woven into his character and we’re itching to discover more and more of him as the plot thickens – “You wanted to destroy it, all of it. Just like it had done to you ( an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth ).” We just know he’ll add so much depth and the streets are quaking with him wandering them! Wonderland is demanding him here to see what will become of him, and how are we to deny such an amazing character?
DIVYA has fallen down the rabbit hole and into Wonderland. The city is pleased to welcome into its folds Fei-Fei Wilhelmina “Willie” Greenwater | [ FC: Natasha Liu Bordizzo ] under the guise of TIGER LILY.
We are so excited to see some of our more bare-bones skeletons taken, and you have done so beyond our wildest dreams, Divya! You breathed life into Tiger Lily and had our hearts aching for her the entire time. You brought so much detail to Willie’s person as well as her history, painting a beautiful image of something Wonderland hungers to swallow. “Each tempestuous character prowling the neon-buzzing streets is a perfect candidate for her typical attempts at harmonizing with the world” – you truly could not have put it better, and your application has us bouncing off the walls to see how you’ll continue to grow her! Welcome!
EM has fallen down the rabbit hole and into Wonderland. The city is pleased to welcome into its folds Mina Alizadeh | [ FC: Medalion Rahimi ] under the guise of RED QUEEN.
Em, your portrayal of our lovely Red Queen was nothing short of gorgeous – Mina has the grit that we so wanted from the skeleton, turning dirt into an empire of her own and turning us into fans of her in the process! We loved the dichotomy of her upbringing; the juxtaposition of soft worry and sharp ambition that she grows into, her character mellifluous and defined at the same time. “… she licks ambition into your ear, dripping the notion of wanting—poison that it is—into your ear as you stare at the reflection she’s made of you” – wow. Your application had us holding our breaths the entire time and we absolutely cannot wait to see how she unravels here in Wonderland!
K has fallen down the rabbit hole and into Wonderland. The city is pleased to welcome into its folds Henrik Sørensen | [ FC: Mads Mikkelsen ] under the guise of HUMPTY-DUMPTY.
We were absolutely blown away by the poetry of your application, with how you so beautifully articulated Henrik’s character through such unconventional yet illustrious ways. You commanded our presence with him, and we were absolutely enraptured, picking out pieces of his story with our jaws on the floor. “Not the work of my conscience, or guilt, or anything so temporal as that. I burn them in the hearth, as with a multitude of smeared documents and poisonous truths, let them die a simmering death and rebirth themselves as whatever best absolves those who come knocking at my door” was absolutely gorgeous and we can’t get enough of him! Henrik has us completely stupefied and we’re begging for more!
NOAH has fallen down the rabbit hole and into Wonderland. The city is pleased to welcome into its folds Pax | [ FC: Frankie Adams ] under the guise of BANDERSNATCH.
Right from the start, your application was drenched with the dirt and cruelty of Wonderland’s underbelly, and we loved every morsel of it. Pax balances fragmented innocence and ferality so well, and it is all we could ever dream of for our Bandersnatch and so, so much more. The sheer detail you had in your application astounded us, and we love every fact, headcanon, and ounce of creativity that you have given us with them! “It makes sense, doesn’t it, to hand the reins of life from one person to another, when the only love known is possession” – we know that there is so much to Pax and so many different directions that they can go in Wonderland and we’re so excited to see just where you’ll take them!
SKYE has fallen down the rabbit hole and into Wonderland. The city is pleased to welcome into its folds Ruby | [ FC: Jennie Kim ] under the guise of MAD HATTER.
Our Mad Hatter is such a dear character to us – we were expected a wildcard, but still you threw us for a spin with Ruby. We adore how there is a twist of a once-softness to her, and how that only makes her more dangerous. “Sometimes there is a girl out in the light, pretty young thing, looking so fragile and sweet. but oh, her eyes, those eyes that have the same glint as the girl in the shadows eyes dark as ravens, girl with red painted lips curved into a smile sharp as a dagger… “ You truly captured the madness that we craved for with our Mad Hatter and gave her that dark distortion of her character that Wonderland so welcomes. We just know she’ll stir up the city even more and we look forward to absolutely loving her for it!
ZERO has fallen down the rabbit hole and into Wonderland. The city is pleased to welcome into its folds Lukas Delacroix | [ FC: Clement Becq ] under the guise of BILL.
The only appropriate response to your application would be falling on the floor and shrieking uncontrollably because it was absolute artistry. You walk the line of horror and haunting with the grace of a funambulist and we are simply in awe watching! We loved seeing how Lukas almost became his childhood home himself – a haunted house, walking – and how you wove together the concepts to create a character that is both skeletal and so fleshed is simply breathtaking. “You don’t live through a haunting without becoming something else…” – we would highlight your whole application if we could, really. We look forward to seeing how Lukas will continue to lurk Wonderland! Welcome!
ZERO has fallen down the rabbit hole and into Wonderland. The city is pleased to welcome into its folds K. | [ FC: Younés Kahlaoui ] under the guise of MOCKTURTLE.
Zero, Mockturtle is one of our fondest skeletons and we’re so happy to see that they are loved so beautifully by you! You truly captured the dreamy, disconnected quality of their character while contrasting this by putting K. in the middle of the White Queen’s fighting ring, creating such an intriguing dynamic within them. “He behaves as if he’s underwater, for the most part, and maybe he is—something about him screams suffocation, something about him asks for someone to just take him away—but there’s blinding line between melancholy and the hope that he exudes” – just absolutely stunning. You continue to amaze us with the tone of your writing and we can’t wait to see how he evolves (or devolves) here at Wonderland!

MARBLED WILL ✧  UTP ✧ 35+
THE LAP OF LUXURY IS ALL YOU HAVE EVER KNOWN. coddled, loved, you know of no other way to be ----- told that is what you deserve. lover, no fighter, you are content to relax, knowing that your spot in life will never differ, never lessen. your job is to be admired and you fulfil the duties flawlessly, drifting from place to place with an innate sense of grace and elegance, turning heads wherever you go. perhaps you would be better suited to another sect , one that basks in beauty in all forms for, surely, you are epitome in all possible ways.
THAT IS NOT TO SAY THAT YOU DO NOT WORK, ONLY THAT YOU DO NOT WORK HARD. that you do not break yourself into pieces everyday in order to fulfill your duties. you have family money that works as a safety net, that alone puts you as among the wealthiest in the city, the country. no one finds fault with you, any shortcomings brushed aside if they're acknowledged at all ----- people drawn to you, admiring you, loving you as if it was always meant to be.
DYNAMICS
oleander crane ✧ a growth developing
you've captured their attention in a way they didn't see coming and the knowledge is taken as a victory. it always is, the way you can collect human beings like toys, available for you to pick up and play with whenever you so desire. the thing is, you rarely desire. all you want is to pull people towards you just to know you can, and they are no acception. you do not consider them a friend, not in the way they might you, but that does not mean you do not enjoy their company.
mottled venom ✧ a desire, a yearning, a pining
everyone likes the bad guy, and you are no exception. you have decided you want them in any way you can, the only problem is that they seem fit to block any and all attempts you have made to try and get them to so much as sit beside you. it is a struggle you have rarely dealt with, unused to people not giving in under your attentions, but you've heard that attainment is all the sweeter the harder you worked and you cannot wait.
spindle edge ✧ sweetness on your tongue
they're someone you can't wrap around your finger, someone you can't bend to your whim. it's not unusual, there's always some that seem immune to your natural charms but that does not anger you. it is a complicated relationship ----- when things align right, the two of your are unstoppable, quite the pair. when they don't, you're like fire and ice.
SUGGESTED FACECLAIMS : wakeema hollis, oscar isaac, constance wu, aditya roy kapur,
