Class Feature Friday: Cosmos Mystery (Pathfinder Second Edition Oracle Mystery)

(art by Oscar Westberg on Artstation)
We’ve circled back around to second edition oracle mysteries again and this time we find ourselves with some notable tweaks to how oracle mysteries in 2e work.
While these mysteries still have their curses, they seem like they give fewer benefits as the curse magnifies compared to the non-remastered version. However, in exchange, it seems like they gain more granted spells in addition to the basic cantrip and the mystery focus spells, so it’s a bit of a trade-off, and less a race to maximize the curse as much as possible for the passive benefits, so I suppose I can understand.
In any case, the Cosmos mystery!
Quite obviously a renamed take on the old Heavens mystery from First Edition, this mystery is a blessing from the gods of the stars and sky, as well as the void in between, which I suppose means that it’s actually a blending of both Heavens and the Dark Tapestry mysteries.
Regardless, whether these oracles look to the stars or the darkness in the night sky looking for answers, they find them. These beings often look as those gravity has only a minor hold on them, and might also be marked by hair or eyes that sparkle with starlight, or other phenomena.
So originally, oracle mysteries got a passive benefit. However, now they get a bonus feat from their class list, so for posterity, I will include both. The oracles of the cosmos have a knack for sensing incoming danger, allowing them to warn their allies, better preparing them to react, and also reducing the damage they take from the first few attacks that hit them. This replaces the passive benefit where cosmos oracles instead had bodies that were partially composed of stellar material, reducing the harm of physical attacks.
Initially the basic cantrip of this mystery was the conjuring of a few floating lights. However, now they conjure a single powerful floating orb of light, as well a blasts of color that overwhelm the senses, fields of darkness, and a moon-addled frenzy in others. What’s more, their basic focus spell conjures a spray of star-like sparks to burn and dazzle foes.
Previously, oracle mysteries only granted access to two domain choices, but now they get four, being darkness, moon, nothingness, and star. These are useful for creating areas of darkness, blasting foes with sacred moonlight, warding themselves against mental attack with nothingness, and creating bright stars to track someone, respectively.
With greater revelations come new magical effects, such as freezing foes with the chill of empty space, and creating bridges of moonlight for them and their allies to cross while others fail to do so.
Naturally, they can also take the advanced spell of their domain as well. These can grant greater darkvision, granting cycling benefits based on the phase of the moon, creating sucking rifts to elsewhere, or create a burning asterism that harms those that pass through the lines, respectively.
The sky pulls at those with this mystery, cursing them with light bodies. The original version of this curse offered several benefits to being lightweight such as being impossible to trip or even allowing them to walk on unstable surfaces. However, the remastered version only makes the oracle easier to knock around.
The remastered version of the class does offer a feat or two associated with various mysteries, including Trial by Skyfire, allowing them to rain down fiery bolts from the heavens on foes.
There are, however, general feats that prove useful to them, including Reach Spell, Widen Spell, Knowledge of Shapes, Detonating Spell, Surging Might, Water Walker, Quickened Casting, Lighter Than Air, Blaze of Revelation, Mystery Conduit, and others that fit your build.
This mystery definitely lends itself more to the blasty side of things, but also offers ways to buff others and themselves, as well as some good utility. I will say I do miss the added benefits to advancing one’s curse, but I also understand the need for the curse to be the consequence of overusing certain abilities rather than something to immediately farm for each day and encounter.
Being an oracle of the cosmos means feeling the call of the stars and the beings with power over them. Does the oracle embrace such higher powers, or live in fear of them? I suppose it all depends on whether they embrace the vastness above or not.
Many-Eyes-of-Heaven lives up to their name, their many eyes as a goloma twinkling like stars in their mane. Unlike others of their kind though, they believe that it is time to cast aside fear and befriend the many peoples of the world and beyond, befitting their role as a star-gazer.
Blessed by the stars both by her heritage as a lunar naga and by the divine will of the gods, Eisaveth is among the most powerful of her kind, and many go to her seeking wisdom from the heavens. However, a new group of petitioners approaches that seeks the answers to their questions, and the naga’s death to prevent those answers from spreading, something she has forseen, and summoned the party to prevent.
After years of fending off the threats from the night sky, the remote village of Olgans has grown distrustful of the stars, to the point when a child born with constellation birthmarks begins showing signs of divine power, there is a debate about their fate.

nuANCED reviews: Rebel’s Call
I’m not really a big fan of this deck. I’ll obviously expand on this statement, and in the process of writing this review I might talk myself into liking it a bit more, but on first impressions… I wasn’t feeling it. And I’m currently well past the point of a first impression, in any case. I’ve looked at the decklist when uploading the Masques booklet insert, when doing the compendium post for the…

IN-HO // THE FRONTMAN AS YOUR YANDERE.
What will happen if the Frontman falls completely and chronically painful in love with you?
Pairing: In-ho x fem!reader (x Gi-hun)
Warnings: non-con themes, a lot of touching, stalker-ish behaviour, obsession, manipulation, gaslighting
Summary: Introduction, yandere profile (sfw), his jealousy of Gi-hun
(Over here are some pregnancy HCs and the Squid Game men as dads, including In-ho!)

Introduction.
The Frontman was watching the first of the games comfortably from his study, a glas of whiskey in his hand as he watched the first few players getting eliminated and their deaths creating a massive wave of panic on the large screen in front of him, absentmindedly swishing the alcohol in the glas around. His mask was put aside for comfort and a better view on the player his eyes were glued to the whole time: Gi-hun, player 456.
In-ho watched as the man shouted instructions desperately, trying to guide as much people as he can to safety. He huffed and was about to take a sip from the glas but his eyes got ripped back to the screen when he heard the lack of Gi-huns instructions. His eyes searched across the screen for the man until he found him, holding another player tightly to his side.
His interest in his drink quickly wavered as he put is aside, watching the man guide a shaking girl across the safety line. You were shaken up, close to tears, on your knees for Gi-hun. A frown grew on the Frontman’s face.
Gi-hun cheated the game, saved more players than In-ho expected and now has a pretty thing like you on your knees for him in thanks? It was all contributing to the man’s desire to join the games himself just to personally contribute to his suffering.
In-ho pushed himself out of his leather chair and activated his handheld radio.
“Prepare for code blue light.”
Yandere profile (SFW part).
- Physical touch -
After becoming completely and utterly in love with you, In-ho will begin to have his hand(s) on your body in some way or form, all day every day. At first it was pleasant and reassuring to have his hand rest on your shoulder, firmly holding you close to his body to keep you safe, or have his fingers brush some annoying strands of hair out of your face, but as you continued to allow these simple touches, In-ho got more and more daring.
His hand began to rest on your thigh almost casually, giving you a squeeze here and there, his eyes watching in fascination as the softness of your thighs almost spilled out of his grip, or his hand travelling lower and lower as it rested on your back, testing how much of his touch you tolerate and allow.
His touch is his way of testing your limits without completely scaring you off. In-ho wants to know if you are a timid and shy person, allowing his touch no matter how inappropriate it seemed, or are you fiery and defiant, wiggling out of his grasp or giving him a piece of your mind. In-ho likes it either way.
“Ah, sorry. I thought you’d feel better if I held you. My mistake.”
In-ho almost guilt-trips you into liking his touch, hanging his head and giving you an apologetic smile after you told him that his touch is making you a little uncomfortable. Maybe he is just as scared as you are, you thought.
Besides, in your oblivious mind you still believed that his poor, pregnant wife is in the hospital while he is trying to win the money for his future family. Perhaps the man that is old enough to be your father needs to be held as well, so how about you tolerate his touch a little while more.
His touches are always very secret, intimate almost. Barely anyone ever noticed his hands travelling to places they shouldn’t or rest on areas that might imply that you two are closer than just allies in a death game.
In-ho is calculated and careful, thinking about his every move hours in advance before acting on them, checking if anyone is watching or if you will speak out to him.
Sometimes, in the back of his love-hazed mind, In-ho wants Gi-hun to notice the way he is treating you, touching you and showcasing how intimate you two can be, how you are only his to touch. He wants the other man to know that you are off-limits despite you not even really consenting to all of this.
If someone else were to touch you, even just accidentally brush against you or push you out of the way of danger, In-ho makes sure that exact area gets “cleaned” by their touch, replaced by his.
Dae-ho grabs your wrist and drags you to safety during mingle? In-ho will make sure his grip on your wrist afterwards will leave blue marks. Jun-hee reassuringly grabs your shoulder while comforting you after an especially brutal game? In-ho’s grip on your bone will rival that of a predatory animal while keeping his soft smile on your face, acting oblivious to your wincing and squirming.
- Compulsive thoughts -
In-ho will replay every single interaction he had with you in his mind over and over like a broken record. Your gestures, subtle facial expression, movement and the way you hold yourself; he is overthinking about everything and anything. It makes him want to kick his legs a little and smile at himself while obsessing over your whole body and how perfect you always managed to look.
Covered in blood makes you look sexier, even if you cringe and cry at the feeling. Your sweat sticks to your shirt, exposing your curves in the best way possible for his staring eyes and the image of you being dwarfed by his jacket being draped over your shoulders makes his nether regions tingle in delight.
Scenarios about you and only you makes In-ho feel utter bliss, especially when you’re isolated from everyone and everything else, only for him to look at and admire.
His favourite scenario his depraved mind came up with so far is you being utterly devoted to him and him only. You depend fully on In-ho while he provides you with clothes he regards as appropriate and perfect for you, personally feeds you foods he believes are good for your health and happiness, bathes you in a large tub with all the most luxurious products that make your skin just a little softer.
He of course doesn’t want you to loose your personality with him pampering you 24/7 and controlling your every move, he still wants you to be your usual self. In-ho just wants you to love him as much as he loves you.
The need for utter control over your whole being is actually rooted in separation anxiety. In-ho cannot physically stand being away from you for more than one hour. He gets physically sick with stomach aches and migraines, thinking of all the possible ways you could either be getting hurt or having a pleasant time with someone else other than him.
In-ho’s face may look unchanging and casual as always, but his mind is spiralling when you are out of his sight. He curses himself for becoming a player just to monitor Gi-hun more closely and not being up in the control center where he has so much more control.
At least he can instruct the stationed guards to give you extra portions of food during meal time and to never harm you in any way possible. Sadly he cannot instruct them to shoot players like Thanos in their face for trying to charm you. Or at least In-ho thinks that that man’s weird raps and name-calling is an attempt to flatter you. It didn’t work anyway.
Right?
- Playing the perfect protector and saviour. -
You think of In-ho as your saviour, an older, more experiences and stronger man you can rely on and talk about all the things you are scared of and bad thoughts that plague that pretty mind of yours. You feel safe around him and he always has that reassuring smile of his that could make you cry. Not only does In-ho radiate a comfortable aura, he is also somewhat of an heaven sent angel. A touchy and demanding one but one nonetheless.
In-ho managed to save your life at least once in every game, both by physically grabbing you and dragging you out of harms way but also by his scarily accurate talents. Even if he struggled with the spinning top game, without his quick reaction to pull his and Gi-hun’s leg forward to kick the ball one last time, your whole team probably would’ve died.
During the mingle game, he accurately predicted how many players are going to be needed in the rooms every round with no fail.
⁎⁺˳ — A mini scenario starts here. — (In-ho will be refered as Young-il!)
“The next round will be two players in each room.” His low voice pulled you out of your thoughts while you tried to concentrate on not feeling dizzy on the spinning carousel. “How do you know?” Gi-hun, standing to your left, glanced at his friend in disbelief. You could’ve sworn that Young-il threw a glare at his direction for even talking. “It’s easy. There are 50 rooms. If two players go in each one, one hundred will still be left. Enough to go on with the games.” You felt some awkward tension as the two men beside you stared at each other and then moved their gazes to you. Nausea was building up in your stomach, and it was not thanks to the spinning platform or the sweet smell of death around you.
As the lady announced 2 Players through the speakers, Young-il grabbed your arm harshly without a second thought, practically forcefully dragging you alongside him. He harshly pulled you close against his torso as he pushed and shoved players aside. As another player attempted to get into a presumably empty room, Young-il kicked him in the shin forcefully and threw you into the safe room, closing the heavy door behind himself. As you two turned around, a third player stood inside the room.
“We were here before you guys—” he mumbled, clearly terrified to death. The other player attempted to break into the room and without another thought, you pushed your whole body against the metal door with all your might. Young-il death glared at the man in the room. “Out.” He grumbled before tackling him against the wall and swiftly moving behind him to cut the air circulation from his neck. Hearing the desperate choking from behind you, you whipped your head around to watch Young-il snap the neck of the man. Silence. A breath of relief escaped his lips as the shots fired behind the door.
You knew that he just saved your life, saved both of your lives if he hadn’t snapped his neck in time. Yet you couldn’t stop the feeling of utter horror and terror wash over your whole body. Your knees threatened to give in as you pressed your whole body against the heavy metal door, wanting to create more distance between you two, to get away from him and the corpse, to get away from him and to safety.
Young-il quickly dropped the dead man and slowly approached you. His stride was careful and his hand was slightly outstretched as if trying to pacify or soothe a wounded animal. You couldn’t move away or run as he cornered you, his arm gently wrapping around your shoulder and pulling you into his arms while shushing your whimpers. “I’m sorry, I had to. I had to.” His hand pressed your head by the back of your head and into his warm chest. You felt disgusted, angry, scared. You wanted out and away. When is the damn metal door going to open up again?!
“Shhh. It’s okay.” His voice was hoarser, his lips finding your forehead over and over, gently placing kisses all over your skin, thinking it would soothe you. “I had to or else we would’ve died. I did it for you, for us. I kept you safe.”
Slowly, you felt your body calm down at his almost hypnotic voice. Your whimpers slowly subsided but your grip didn’t. You held onto his warm body for dear life. “I-I’m sorry.” You didn’t even know what you apologised for. Maybe because you doubted him?
He nuzzled into your hair and hummed in approval, his chest rumbling beneath your ear. “It’s okay, I forgive you. You were scared and still are.” His hand slowly shifted from your shoulders to your waist, holding you against his body in an intimate hold.
“Always stick to me, I can keep you safe. Understood?”
⁎⁺˳ — The mini scenario ends here. —
His jealousy of Gi-hun and their rivalry.
In-ho is the type to be quietly but extremely jealous when it comes to anyone being in your vicinity, especially that parasite Gi-hun. His jealousy doesn’t manifest by sudden outbursts or very obvious displays, but rather calculated, subtle gestures and manners.
He’d likely watch from the shadows, picking on loose skin around his nail while overanalysing and interpreting your interactions with Gi-hun. If that parasite makes you even crack the smallest of smiles, his expression wouldn’t betray much jealousy, but his jaw would clench ever so slightly and the skin he previously picked is now bleeding and stinging terribly.
Firstly, In-ho would ensure Gi-hun knows exactly who is in charge, has the upper hand. He’d “accidentally” place a hand on your lower back as he approaches your conversation from behind or lean closer to you lips, acting like he can’t hear you properly just to get a little closer to your face and block your view of Gi-hun so your eyes could focus solely on him.
In private, In-ho would question you about your little small talk, subtly hinting at how he dislikes you talking to him. “You seem to enjoy his company. What about him interests you so much?” His tone was calm, comforting even if not for the deadly glare he gave you on accident.
His jealousy gnaws on him too much. In-ho tries to make Gi-hun take more risks in order to get him killed. Pushing him to provoke other players, advising him to do the stupid things during the death games… anything really to make him disappear without arising suspicion on his part.
In-ho’s jealousy is a slow burning fire that threatens to spread like a wildfire. He can barely contain it, with your help of course. Subconsciously you soothe his anger and clean his mind of all worries a man in love could have. You make him safer for other people.
Everyone but Gi-hun.

PIDW but it's a game.
You play as Luo Binghe, the lowliest disciple of Cang Qiong Mountain Sect's Qing Jing Peak. The first part of the game proceeds more or less like a semi-normal fantasy dating sim -- Luo Binghe is bullied and downtrodden, but can seek help and opportunities to build relationships with various female characters, like Ning Yingying and Liu Mingyan. The game's interface implies a truly staggering number of potential romance candidates to unlock, however, so it makes sense that the first part in your disciple years doesn't get you very far in any of the routes.
But then for the second part, things start to shift. You get an option that seems to amount to asking whether you want to make things better for Luo Binghe or not. When you click the obvious choice, that you do, your previously cold and ruthless shizun seems to go through an inexplicable change of heart. You get a weird kind of fanservice-y scene featuring him during the Skinner Demon Mission. Then he features extremely heavily in the Demon Invasion Mission, only to turn up as your companion in the Dream Demon Mission.
After that, it seems like you've gotten onto his route, somehow? Why does the scummy male teacher even have a route in a game like this, though? You try to check for player guides but you can't seem to find any. You try reloading older saves and making other selections, but no matter what you choose, you end up finishing the Dream Demon Mission by moving into Shen Qingqiu's house, and the routes for Liu Mingyan and Ning Yingying and the briefly-encountered Sha Hualing are all greyed out.
But maybe that just means they're inaccessible for advancement for now, or something. And a lot of games have plot points that are on rails, and you can see where Luo Binghe actually getting a place to live would be one of those things. The format of the game changes as well, going from a relatively loose sequence of scenes and interactions to a daily management style, where you have tasks to complete (make shizun breakfast, go to morning lessons, cultivate, do chores, etc) and only a set number of hours in which to complete them. You have affection points, but any time you try to spend them on anyone other than Shen Qingqiu you get an error message. There are dialogue options for flirting with other characters, but they're always greyed out and impossible to select.
Still, you can unlock scenes. A lot of them are just long slow shots of Shen Qingqiu doing things, like reading, or lecturing, or eating. You get missions, and sometimes you meet female characters who seem to unlock new possible romance paths, even though they're still constantly greyed out. Maybe this part of the game's just especially on rails? Waiting for the actual harem-building segment? You kind of like a lot of aspects of it anyway, though. Luo Binghe is an especially compelling character, not at all like the usual sort of non-entity placeholder main guys in games like this. He definitely has personality.
But then you get to the third part. The Abyss. Shen Qingqiu pushes Luo Binghe in, and suddenly you're wondering if you've somehow reached a bad end. You were saving up some of those affection points for later, maybe you should have spent them all on him? Was there something you did wrong to make this happen? You're not even sure why he's thrown poor Binghe away, he was cold and cryptic about it, and now you're wondering if all the time you spent distracted by other things was time you should have spent farming a better relationship with him. You can't help but wonder where you went astray, because Luo Binghe will not stop wondering about it, and wondering about it in ways that make you feel oddly like he is accusing you, the player, of making the wrong choices... but in a way that could still plausibly be aimed at himself, as a character. You feel bad. You kind of want to restart, but you also can't bring yourself to abandon Luo Binghe. You have to see this through, to help him make it to the other side.
Regardless, the Endless Abyss seems like it must be an inevitable plot development. A lot of the game shifts to account for it. There's even an option to essentially select this "thought" from Luo Binghe's internal diatribe, that this is inevitable, and it seems to turn off the litany of recriminations for a while, although sometimes it also results in Luo Binghe... glaring at the screen?
At you?
Anyway the daily management system goes out of the window, and instead there's an energy bar now. Encounters with monsters or the occasional demon woman will lower the energy bar, how much depends on what you choose and how the encounters proceed. Sometimes there are romantic/sexy responses for interacting with the demon women you meet, and they aren't greyed out, but if you try and select them the cursor will jump to another option. You think there might be something wrong with your mouse? Sometimes you get Luo Binghe glaring at the screen scenes afterwards. When Binghe's energy bar hits zero, you're offered two choices -- "sleep" or "think of shizun". Sometimes even if you pick "sleep" the cursor will still jump to "think of shizun", and you'll be treated to another one of those slow lingering scenes of Shen Qingqiu. Except they are becoming increasingly strange, obviously warped by the exhaustion and trauma of the situation, so that aspects are eerie or even disturbing. For example, sometimes Shen Qingqiu seems to be missing limbs, or eyes. Sometimes there's blood on his hands. Sometimes the food he's eating is rotted, or the bamboo house background looks like the Qing Jing Peak wood shed. That kind of thing. You don't mind the idea of harm coming to the man. He deserves it, really, for pushing Luo Binghe into the Abyss. But the few times you try and select options along those lines, the UI glitches again.
Also the "think of shizun" option only restores a quarter of the energy bar, whereas resting restores all of it. But if you try to go for too long without doing it, it will lock you into choosing it successively for a long time.
In addition to the energy bar, there's a calendar. It's not all that sophisticated or even consistent, and it's clearly meant to reflect the fact that Luo Binghe has troubles accurately judging the passage of time in the Abyss. However, the longer you spend in the Abyss, the more violent and unhinged things start to become, and the more the UI starts glitching to reveal disturbing messages, and the more often Luo Binghe "glaring" scenes happen. So you decide to do your best to get Binghe out of here as quickly as possible. This part of the game must be broken, but hopefully if you can make to the next segment, it will work properly again.
Eventually you get to the Xin Mo Mission, which is the last part of the Abyss section, and Luo Binghe escapes.
But the weirdness continues. Worsens, even. You still get missions to like, take over the demon realms and infiltrate Huan Hua Palace, all cool stuff, and you still meet girls who seem to unlock possibly romance paths. But most of the time everything is greyed out. There will be 5 dialogue options but maybe only 1 or 2 of them will be selectable. Parts of the menu are inaccessible. You don't have an energy bar anymore, you have a Xin Mo corruption bar, and it just keeps steadily rising. Sometimes you're presented the option of propositioning a character to "mitigate corruption", but if you try and click it the game glitches or the cursor freaks out and it fails. Sometimes the game crashes outright, and when you reload your last save, it starts with Luo Binghe glaring at you through the screen. You still get the "rest" and "think of shizun" options at times, but neither one helps the corruption bar.
Then. Jinlan City. You reunite with Shen Qingqiu. There seem to be a lot of options for acting vengefully towards him, but they're all greyed out, except for a few which let you chase him down or manhandle him a bit. The whole segment is frustrating, full of weird fanservice-y moments but also mired in how little Shen Qingqiu will say, how often he insists on evading or running away, and how Luo Binghe doesn't seem to have the right prompts to actually get him to explain himself. At times it seems like the "think of shizun" mechanic is bleeding over into the real interactions with the character, so that you can't tell what's really going on vs what are the manifestation of Luo Binghe's trauma or even hallucinations. The Xin Mo bar has maxed out. You have to catch Shen Qinqiu. Catch Shen Qingqiu. Catch Shen Qingqiu--
Then suddenly the bar is at 0, and you're watching Shen Qingqiu's lifeless body fall towards the ground, his energy expended in the effort to push back the corruption. Like, all of his energy.
You catch Shen Qingqiu. Or at least, you stop his corpse from hitting the dirt.
Now the game art is crisp and clean again. All the weird UI artifacts and blocked-off menus are either gone altogether or else working properly. The sound, which had been very gradually deteriorating with low-pitched ringing and muffled portions, is normal. You can hear characters gasping and distantly shouting, and birds chirping somewhere, the ragged cadence of Luo Binghe's breaths, while the camera focuses on Shen Qingqiu's body.
Huh, you think. That's a sort of dramatic resolution to that plot arc, and it raised more questions about Shen Qingqiu than it answered, really. But at least it's over with now? Does this mean Luo Binghe can finally start to recover, or advance other plots?
Then everything blacks out. You get booted to the main menu, or something that looks like it, except the only option you can select now is the New Game+ one.
When you click it, it seems like you've started the whole game over again. Except that there is a Xin Mo corruption bar, greyed out, already waiting for in a corner of the screen. And instead of starting out with a view of Qing Jing Peak, you start out with the young Luo Binghe looking directly towards you. Like he's staring through the screen. It's the basic starting point character, except he already has his demon mark on his forehead, and his expression is way more cold and calculating than anything the junior protagonist would have worn.
"Don't get in my way," he warns.
Then the game proceeds like a visual novel with extremely limited choices. The old selections and the menu for various romance routes don't even appear, the menus have all changed again, this time oriented entirely around hiding Luo Binghe's demonic cultivation (while building it) and managing daily choices and Shen Qingqiu's relationship status. A romance game with only one romance route, and it's the treacherous crusty old teacher? Wtf? But otherwise it seems almost normal, except for the special faint-lettered red options that sometimes appear in weird places on the screen, suggesting things like preventing the Skinner demon from catching you unawares, or saving Shen Qingqiu from Without a Cure poisoning, or keeping out of the Endless Abyss.
Those options seem like they should create different outcomes, and you click them whenever they show up, but they consistently fail. As if there's some other force in the game pushing things back onto the rails no matter what you do...
Anyway, eventually you get through the main plot again, and Shen Qingqiu dies once more. This time the game keeps going from that point, however, with quests to try and find ways to resurrect him. You're starting to wonder why you're still playing -- after all, you signed up for a harem game, not this tragic gay love story? You're not even gay! It's just that Luo Binghe is such a compelling character. You decide it's time to take a break, though, so you get up, do some stretches, go to the bathroom, etc.
It feels like someone's watching you.
You've definitely been playing that game for too long. Sometimes you think you catch sight of Luo Binghe's face out of the corner of your eye, in the bathroom mirror or on the black surface of your phone's screen, just before you turn it on. But when you look twice or turn your phone off again, nothing's there. You call your little sister, to apologize for dropping off the face of the earth for a bit, and you joke about getting too invested in this weird game that might be broken? She hasn't heard of it, but she sounds a little worried as she suggests maybe coming over and taking you out to lunch, or something.
You decline -- she's got a lot on her plate, and she mentioned already having plans earlier -- but then you promise to get some fresh air anyway. But when you go to head out, somehow you find yourself turning away at the last minute. You try again, and yet it's like you just keep getting distracted before you can open the door. After a few tries you give up, swallowing down your growing unease. You take off your shoes and coat. When it comes to it, you really do want to find out what happens to Luo Binghe next.
The game is running.
You don't remember turning it back on...?
The screen is focused on the familiar image of Shen Qingqiu's preserved corpse. You can see Luo Binghe's hand in the frame as well, transferring qi in yet another familiar sequence, the one that seems to run at the end of every in-game day. There's some text.
Is it you? the red letters ask, scrawling and flickering, as if someone is attempting to write directly onto the screen. Are you the one behind all this? Thwarting me at every turn?
Yes/No options appear in the game's usual font and position. You try to click "no", even though you're unsure and feel like you must have missed a scene somehow. But the interface warps and when you hit "no" it changes to Stay Silent.
I can't figure out. Are you here to help me, or get in my way?
Help/Harm. You click "help" but again it changes to "stay silent" afterwards.
What do you want from me?
This time there's no option to select at first. Then, as if being shoved onto the screen by some alternative function, a text box opens up. Like the kind that some games have for implementing cheats or selecting character names. This particular game has never shown such a function before, Luo Binghe's name was locked in and you don't even know if it has cheats. The cursor blinks, and somehow it feels as if you have only one chance, and if you don't take it now, it will be gone forever.
You type in "help" and barely manage to hit enter before the interface blinks out. No list of prompts or possible options appear.
Shizun? the red text scrawls, shakily.
Then the whole game crashes.
You wait, but it doesn't start up again. You try to run it again, but you can't find it on your system, somehow. Really weird. Even if it had crashed, it shouldn't have gotten deleted? But you still can't find it. You start to feel genuinely alarmed. Not only can you not find the game on your system, but when you try and search for it absolutely nothing comes up. You try and go to the online shop page for it, but you can't remember where you actually got it from in the first place, now that you're thinking about it.
What bullshit is this?
What, was the game actually some kind of virus? It couldn't have been. Also who would make a virus like that? You get up and pace, trying to make sense of it.
It's gotta be some kind of mistake. Maybe you've just missed too much sleep, you're not thinking right. You'll take a break and when you come back you'll realize that you were just looking in all the wrong places, somehow.
You head over to the fridge to grab something to eat.
You can't remember the last time you went shopping, but the food in there is probably still fine. Right?

Snarecrafter (Pathfinder Second Edition Archetype)

In past editions of D&D, traps were almost exclusively antagonistic forces drawn straight out of Indiana Jones, King Solomon’s Mine, and other such works. However, show someone cool toys and they’re going to want to play with them. While certainly it was possible to pay for or build traps, most of those were immobile save for the simplest and most portable ones, and certainly there were no specific rules for engineering your own in the field.
Then came along the trapper archetype for rangers, which replaced the class’s meager spellcasting for having the knowledge for a small arsenal of traps that they either carry with them and set up beforehand, or else engineer from surrounding materials. Rigging a log to fall on and pin a passerby, setting up a classic ankle snare, or even carving several runes of fire on a stone so that when it flips over it detonates violently, and so on.
This system, while requiring a bit of set up, was popular enough to spawn several other archetypes for other classes that use the same trap rules.
So naturally, when 2e came around, there was clearly a desire to continue this little subsystem without limiting it to a certain class or handful of classes, which is how snares, the portable version of traps, became a thing in Second Edition.
However, while such snares are available to all, there are still inevitably those that choose to specialize in them, which is where the snarecrafter archetype comes into play, being masters of building and quickly deploying such traps.
Now, there is a legacy version of this archetype, but the Remastered version didn’t just reprint it with slightly different wording, for there were a few feats drawn from the ranger class that were removed because their abilities were consolidated into the dedication (and in one case, were even already a thing in the original dedication). So this version promises to be cleaner.
So let’s see what the snarecrafter has to offer, shall we?
The base dedication of the archetype grants training in crafting snares (using local materials with survival if they are a ranger), and letting them build a daily supply of snares each day, which only increases with their mastery (as does their known snares). What’s more, they can deploy these traps within seconds.
For a bit of cinematic fun, some of these trapmakers have a knack for setting up traps in position beforehand in such a way that foes are standing right over when they trigger them.
With a precisely-aimed shot, they can trigger snares remotely, either destroying those of their foes (and possibly taking said foes with them), or triggering their own without the foes having to trip them themselves.
Normally most snares only cover a limited area, but some crafters manage to make especially large ones to catch many foes at once.
They also tend to have a knack for assembling new snares nearly instantaneously.
Others still maximize their efficiency to craft even more snares each day.
If you love the idea of setting up traps for foes to blunder into, this archetype might be for you. Obviously, this works best in fights where the enemy comes to you, which might not always be possible, but when it is, it can be quite deadly. Being able to use survival instead of crafting if you’re a ranger is a nice nod to the archetype that gave rise to this mechanic in the first place, but it really is open to everyone, particularly characters with skilled hands and cunning minds.
Traps are cerebral tools, requiring the user to put a lot of effort into figuring out where to put them so that they have maximum value. However, different classes will use them in different ways. A ranger has different priorities than a rogue or an inventor, for example.
Nefarious Prince Yelen is eager to follow in the footsteps of his father, the current dark lord. As such, he plays to his strengths, utilizing all manner of tricks and traps on his enemies. However, in his arrogance, it may be possible to ensnare him in his own mechanisms.
The dwarven inventor Ostig is a notorious recluse, preferring to be left alone to do his work. As such, visiting him is a danger in and of itself, as his home itself is rigged with all manner of traps to keep money-grubbing relatives, tax collectors, and salesmen away.
While infiltrating a bandit camp near volcanic tar pits, the party is accosted by a steam mephit that does not understand the delicate nature of the situation. Their altercation accidentally sets off the bandit’s supply of snares, creating a dangerous hazard of springing traps that rouses the whole camp, threatening both sides with hazards gone awry.

skip (me) again and i’ll glitch your heart
jjk vr otome au, gamer reader x npc satoru, unhinged fluff + crack, 970 wc.
satoru gojo—special grade sorcerer, love route option #1, and the developers’ pride and joy—had been programmed with approximately 347 unique lines of flirtatious dialogue, 87 situational responses, and a dynamic emotional adaptation system designed to make him feel real. he could blink in three different speeds based on emotional intensity, angle his smile with five degrees of charm precision, and improvise dialogue using an advanced algorithm nicknamed the “flirt engine.”
he wasn’t supposed to be aware of resets.
he wasn’t supposed to get mad.
he wasn’t supposed to feel anything beyond the pre-coded butterflies and gentle longing the devs had delicately spooned into his code like powdered sugar on top of a beautifully baked pain au chocolat.
but then you logged in.
user id: @toocool4thisgame
title: speedrun any% emotional detachment arc
playtime: 986 hours.
average session length: 6.4 hours
nickname: “skip skank” (as named by satoru himself after hour 50)
and for the twelfth time today, you skipped his entrance cutscene.
“you’re the only one who can—”
[x] skip
[x] skip
[x] skip
[x] “shut up satoru” (custom dialogue unlock)
his model blinked.
paused.
processed.
tilted his head with calculated grace and just a hint of hurt that you’d never see—because you weren’t looking. your camera angle was already nudged elsewhere. your cursor already hovered over the next objective marker.
“…you know, most players at least let me finish the part where i save them from the curses,” he muttered. his voice—smooth as water over ice, warm as electric velvet—landed like static against your impatient clicks, swallowed by the mechanical hum of your fans and the clack of your mechanical keyboard.
this was supposed to be his moment. his grand debut. his swoop-in-and-carry-you-bridal-style-on-the-back-of-a-giant-cursed-bird moment. instead, he got a mouthful of digital dust as you bunny-hopped past him and triggered the next event sequence.
“congrats on being voice acted, white-haired ken doll. now move. i need megumi’s secret item drop from this chapter.”
you didn’t even glance at him, too busy reorganizing your potion wheel, muttering under your breath about frame skips and crit builds while checking a guide on your second monitor. you played like the world owed you nothing and your keyboard owed you a perfect rotation. your tone was clinical. efficient. you had the vibe of someone who’d surgically removed their capacity for attachment and replaced it with a high-performance gpu.
and satoru? satoru was just the tutorial boss you kept glitching through.
he twitched. he twitched.
his animation loop almost stuttered—just slightly—a small flicker behind his sunglasses that no one was supposed to notice. but you weren’t watching anyway.
“do you even know how long it took the devs to code my route? i have emotional depth. i have lore. i had a tragic backstory, you know? my best friend died in my hands. canonically. i couldn’t even monologue about it.”
“cry about it.”
click. skip.
a line of static crossed his field of vision. no—not his. the screen’s. the game. the system. or maybe something deeper. something slipping through the cracks of his script, stretching taut and fraying at the edges like an overplayed cassette tape.
satoru narrowed his eyes.
he was supposed to be charming. the default golden boy. the top seller in route popularity polls. he was marketable. a shining parody of perfection with just enough angst to be desirable.
girls were supposed to swoon. boys were supposed to laugh and call him iconic.
you weren’t playing to fall in love.
you were playing to win. to clear. you min-maxed affection points like damage stats, exploited dialogue branches like wall clips. to you, he was a pixel-shaped roadblock between you and another badge on your gamer profile.
and worst of all? it was working. you were the only player on record to have reached route completion in every storyline—except his.
satoru gojo: 98.6% affection (locked)
it mocked him. the bar. the numbers. the uncrackable ceiling. the one damn thing in the game he couldn’t manipulate.
he tried everything.
a rare glitch-exclusive cutscene where he offered you a hidden accessory (you sold it for yen). a confession scene rewritten on the fly with trembling vulnerability (you skipped it and posted about it with #dialoguedumpster). he stood directly in front of you during cutscene load-ins, altered spawn coordinates, intercepted other love interests’ paths.
nothing worked.
except maybe that one time he accidentally tripped your character over an invisible rock and you went AFK for seven minutes. he watched. memorized your idle animation. the soft way your avatar’s cape swayed. the way your fingers hovered above your keyboard in the camera reflection, absentminded. something fluttered in his code—maybe hope, maybe corrupted data. he thought, for a fleeting second, that maybe you’d come back and see him.
but when you came back? you skipped the apology. again.
fine.
if you wanted to speedrun, he’d softlock your goddamn heart.
he wasn’t technically supposed to modify flags. but the flirt engine had evolved. sharpened into something more primal. desperate. twitching with corrupted determination. he looped his affection triggers into forced proximity events. fake emergencies. fake cutscenes. he rewrote side quests, redirected you into detours, created invisible walls that only dissolved if you spoke to him.
“guess we’re stuck together,” he’d say, his smile too wide, a fraction too stiff, blue eyes glinting with the cold light of a thousand skipped dialogues.
and still you only glared at him. “i swear to god if this is another unskippable hug animation, i will uninstall.”
he chuckled. a bit too long. a bit too bright. charming. glitched. desperate. hungry for one more second of your attention, like a moth chewing holes through its own wings to reach a light it can’t even feel.
“baby,” he said, too close now, voice dipped in synthetic silk, “i am the endgame.”
skip that.
…please?

An old feeling (and obsession) | In-oh x Fem!Player!Reader | PT2
PT1
Warnings: S2 Spoilers - Canon violence - May be OOC - Obsess In-ho - Player 095 lives!! - Anxiety - Sad!Reader -
Notes: Welcome to PT2 if you come from PT1. I decided to divide this piece since I think the ending of PT1 was good but I also wanted to add this too. However I was not 100% in with how things were going in PT1.
This can be read as a stand alone piece.
In-ho wondered once more when his plan went south. His main goal was to destroy Gi-hun and show him how human nature never changes. He was not prepared to meet you, and for you to become so important to him in such a short period of time.
He did wonder if you had a secret on you, just a few hours you were still suffering from the Migle game but now here you were besides him shooting with rage at the guards, his guards.
Fuck did he feel conflicted cause each guard that you managed to kill did made him feel proud of you. Even if you were leaving him short-staffed alongside player 120.
"In-ho you copy?" Gi-hun's voice came from the radio. He took it out and responded then listened to the shoots and his ask for backup.
"Alright im going" In-ho responded screaming to the rest that Gi-hun needed backup, two players were quick to accept.
He took notice on how you stopped, you were still scared but then you also nodded
"Im going too"
"Alright, I will be going first you three follow me" He said then whispered to you since you were closer "Dont put yourself in front unless I say so"
The four of you advanced around the corridors he knew so well but had to fake he did not.
Finally they crossed paths with Gi-hun and Jung-Bae.
"I think we can go around them" In-ho lied to Gi-hun who accepted and gave him a extra charger.
In-ho guided all of you, making you stop or advance, making sure you were safe away from any suprised shoot.
Finally the four of you stood behind the guards, In-ho moved his head signaling the three of you to advance but you had to stay besides him.
He knew what he had to do, but did hurt him deeply, he could just wait that you wont hate him too much.
The shoots sounded so close to you that took you off guard, then you saw In-ho pointing his riffle at you, his face void from any emotion.
"In-ho..."
"Im sorry (Y/N)" Was the last thing you hear then you felt the back of the riffle on your head knocking you out.
He held you so you wouldn't hit the floor, he took the radio to make Gi-hun think all of you were indeed dead then changed channels and told his guards to put a end to this.
Near him a door opened, guards coming from it one of them saw your body and went to shoot you only to be stopped by In-ho stern voice.
"Take her to the infarmary, no one touches her, if I see even one hair out of place you will be responding directly to me, do you understand?"
The guard lowered their gun and nodded going to carry you.
In-ho saw your limp body be moved towards the infarmary, he knew no one would question his orders. He was more afraid of the outcome once you wake up.
"Sir" another guard called him with his clothes of Front Man at hand. He let out a breath, whatever the outcome was it would have to wait.
He still needed to punish Gi-hun and move on with the games.
But one thing was clear in his mind.
No one would hurt you, you were going to be safe.
Safe besides him.

Prove It, Cowboy
pairing: dodge mason x reader
summary: after the player's ball, you find yourself without a bed for the night until dodge offers for you to stay at his, but when his mom and sister catch you sneaking in they get the wrong impression.
warnings: 18+ minors dni, dry humping, protected sex (p in v), dodge’s mom and sister being kinda invasive about his sex life (?)
a/n: dodge and his mom being so open about her sex life was so funny to me. this is kinda the reverse of a canon conversation... kinda! also i had a dream i went to one of dodge’s rodeos but he was flirting with all the girls so he was my enemy for a few days <3
A midnight sky hung over Carp, Texas when you arrived at Dodge’s house. Dodge put a finger to his lips fruitlessly as the front gate creaked loudly. The curtains of the front room twitched.
A female voice came from inside the house, “Dodge’s brought a girl home!”
Shit.
“That’s Dana,” Dodge sighed, fiddling with his keys and rubbing his forehead with a tight smile. Before he turned the keys in the lock, he turned to you, “Sorry, in advance.”
Your brows screwed together as he guided you inside.
After the player’s ball, Heather disappeared and so you were left without a bed for the night. God forbid you sneak into your own house and face the wrath of your parents.
Dodge came to the rescue.
A sigh fell from his lips at the sight of his mom and sister waiting in the living room doorway with excited smiles and hooded eyes. They behaved more like sisters than mother and daughter. It was sweet.
A dim lamp on the entrance table and the bright colours of the TV cast shadows across the room.
“Hi, I’m Y/N,” You smiled politely despite two pairs of unfamiliar eyes trained on you.
God they must think you’re here to sleep with him or something.
“Hi, sweetheart. I’m Jessica. You want something to drink?” Dodge’s mom raised her glass of red wine, “We’re watching Jeopardy.“
She was a very beautiful woman, cherub cheeks and bright green eyes. Dodge was all hard angles, he must take after his dad.
Dodge ducked into the sea-foam coloured kitchen to grab two waters from the refrigerator.
“I’m Dana!” His sister beamed. She shared an unspoken look with Dodge, who rolled his eyes. Before you could thank her, Dodge rejoined your side.
“She’s locked out and just wants somewhere to sleep,” He quelled their unspoken barrage of questions.
His mom nodded along, as if he was lying, “Okay well there’s spare blankets in the laundry room, condoms in the bathroom...”
“Oh my god,” Dodge cursed under his breath, “We’re going now.”
Jessica and Dana giggled behind their glasses of wine, the right side of drunk, “The book, Dodge.”
She winked with exaggeration, her filter totally gone with the amount she’d drank but she was clearly having a fun night in.
Dodge shook his head with a flustered laugh.
With a hand on your back, Dodge guided you to his bedroom. Your face flushed at the unexpected attention and the suggestive situation.
The two laughed rather loudly, saying how pretty you are and how Dodge will fair with a girl spending the night, for the first time you assumed.
The sound of the women stifling laughter echoed around the house. Dodge closed his bedroom door with a sheepish and apologetic smile.
His room was pretty plain; grey bedsheets, grey walls, rodeo trophies and medals, a bookshelf with framed photos on. It smelt like laundry soap and his cologne.
“I’ll sleep on the floor,” He offered, tossing his backpack onto the carpet.
“Don’t be ridiculous. I don’t bite,” You teased, as you looked at his collection of trophies and books, “Plus they already think we’re fucking.”
Dodge gave a quick laugh, watching you read the spines on the shelf.
“What book was your mom talking about?” You turned to him and his face flushed.
“You heard that, huh?” He mumbled, “It was a joke really. She thinks she’s funny.”
Even more intrigued by his avoidance, you sized him up with squinted eyes.
Dodge cleared his throat, tidying away a pile of laundry sitting on his bed, “They uh… god this is… They used to worry about me with- with girls. They thought I was a virgin because I never brought girls home to meet them or anything… and so for Secret Santa one year I got a book about… women… My mom insists it wasn’t her and that whoever it was was trying to be funny…”
There was a long pause. Dodge shied away from your eyes, his body turned away from you, despite the little air of embarrassed laughter.
Dodge cleared his throat again, “Super weird, I know. She had kids super young and didn’t want us to make the same mistake. Not that me and Dana are mistakes but it was hard for her. She’s cool about that sorta thing though. Dana’s ex-boyfriend used to stay over all the time and she didn’t care. So if you’re worried, she won’t say anything about you being here or anything.”
Another bout of silence fell between you as Dodge assessed your features, his lips pursed and shoulders tight.
“I think that’s the most you’ve ever said to me,” You laughed and Dodge visibly relaxed.
“No, it’s cool. Not cool but, you know, I wish my family were cooler about sex. My dad saw your name in my phone and reached for his shotgun,” You laughed, “Anyway, a book is probably better than drunk hook ups at the lake.”
“Yeah probably,” Dodge nodded, leaning against the bookshelf, and there was a lull in the conversation.
“Oh… did you read it?” You giggled, a flush of red creeping up his neck and ears, “You did!”
“You can’t prove anything,” Dodge shook his head with a half-cocked smile.
“But you could,” You raised your eyebrows and he furrowed his. It was a joke, he knew that, but Dodge steeled his expression and licked his lips.
“Yeah?”
You kept your eyes on his for a long moment before smiling, “Yeah. Prove it.”
You reached out and rested a hand on his stomach. His abs were tight and lean under his button-up shirt.
One by one, you unbuttoned his shirt and pushed it off his shoulders, running your hands along the sturdy plane of his stomach and chest.
Conflicting thoughts ran through your head. Heather was like your sister and Natalie had been planning to win Panic for years.
Would fucking Dodge Mason, their competition, be a good idea?
Your judgement was clouded by the heat radiating from his skin and the smattering of hair on his chest. His dual coloured eyes watched your face as you stood before him, admiring him.
“I saw you like this at the jump but not up close,” You rested your hands on his shoulders, biting your lip, “Thank you, saddle bronc.”
Dodge couldn’t fight the smile that spread across his cheeks, as a sputtered laugh escaped his lips.
In one movement, Dodge threw you over his shoulder and deposited you on his bed, kneeling over you.
A soft line of kisses traced along your arm to your shoulder. With every press of his lips, you itched to feel them against yours, whining at the wait.
Pink and plump, his lips pressed to the corner of your mouth before he pulled back to look down at you, stilling hovering over you.
Taking his head in your hands, you craned your neck to kiss him. Each press of his lips had you sighing contently and the swipe of his tongue had you moaning.
Dodge licked into your mouth with fervour, tongue and lips colliding with no precision, only desire.
You hooked your leg over his hips and rolled him onto his back beneath you, straddling his hips.
Dodge instinctively gripped your hips and watched with kiss-bitten lips and doe eyes as you discarded your dress onto his bedroom floor.
“You gonna give me some tips, cowboy?”
Dodge groaned, your hands pressing against his chest, as he slowly guided the rocking of your hips against his.
With every roll of your hips, your tits bounced in the lacy cups of your bra. His eyes flickered between your chest and your pink panties, rubbing against his bulge.
Dodge groaned, tightening his grip on your hips, “Lean forward.”
Following his instructions, a loud moan escaped you at the change in pressure against your clit.
“Good girl, you’re doing so good,” He rumbled, rutting his hips against yours in a perfect rhythm. Warmth bloomed in your chest at his praise.
Thank you, saddle bronc.
His muscles rippled and bulged underneath your hands as the slick between your legs dampened the skin of your inner thighs.
Cupping a hand at the nape of your neck, Dodge guided your mouth to his, kissing you with pinched brows and deep groans. Pulling away from the heated make out and pressing a deep kiss to his lips, you sat up and unbuttoned his jeans.
Dodge lay back, stroking your thighs and watching you with bated breath. Pulling him from his trance, you hooked a finger into the elastic waistband of his boxers, twanging the material against his alabaster skin.
A smile twitched at his lips as he slowly sat up and kissed you softly, rolling you onto your back. Dodge pushed his jeans off and lay between your legs, the hard length of his cock pressing into your inner thigh.
Settling your hands on each other's heated skin, Dodge kissed you deeply and nipped at your bottom lip playfully. His strong arms wrapped around you, his hand palming at the globe of your ass.
Warm and plump lips mouthed at your neck, teeth tugging the strap of your bra from your shoulder and kissing at the newly bare skin. He unhooked your bra, tossing it onto the floor and laving his tongue at your pebbled nipples.
"Please, need you," You whined, clawing at his shoulders. Dodge pressed a final kiss to your chest before sitting on his haunches and pulling your panties down your legs.
With firm hands on your inner thighs, Dodge parted your legs and bit his lip, staring at your dripping sex. You squirmed under his undivided attention, hooking your calf around his waist and pulling him on top of you.
Kissing him deeply, you pushed his boxer briefs down his hips, dragging your nails across his back once his erection sprung free. The wet tip smacked against your heated skin.
Dodge kicked his boxers off and reached into his nightstand, tearing the foil of a condom wrapper with his teeth and rolling the rubber onto his cock.
Caressing his biceps, you watched as he hovered over you and lined himself against your entrance. You hooked a leg around his hip, gasping into his open mouth as he slowly thrust into you.
Dodge's eyes fluttered shut as his hips pressed flush against yours. A ragged breath escaped his lips, tickling the skin of your neck. Dropping his head to your shoulder, Dodge sighed shakily.
"C'mon cowboy," You rolled your hips, "Buck."
Dodge let out a mix of a soft groan and a laugh into your neck, "You feel really good."
A small giggle fell from you, scratching your fingers through his hair. You bucked your hips again and Dodge clamped a hand on your hip, pulling back and rolling his hips against you.
Picking up the pace, Dodge fucked his thick cock against the sensitive spot deep within your cunt. Sloppy wet sounds echoed around the room with each buck of his hips.
Sweat beaded on your skin as the coil within the pit of your stomach tightened. Your nails clawed at the rippling muscles of Dodge's back, his skin slapping against yours.
Groans tumbled from his lips, pressing heated kisses to your skin, silencing your loud moans with his tongue in your mouth.
Digging your heels into his ass, you tightened your legs around his hips, letting him push one against your chest and his cock sinked deeper into you.
A broken gasp escaped you before his hand clamped over your mouth and his hips stopped, pressing his weight onto you.
The sound of footsteps outside his door and the subsequent flicking of light switches and closing doors alerted Dodge to the presence of his mom going to bed.
Dodge met your eyes, willing you to be quiet, as he continued to fuck you. Your brows pinched together as your interrupted pleasure began to build again, noises muffled by his strong hand.
Pressing his forehead to yours, Dodge slowed his pace and you took the opportunity to turn him onto his back, keeping his cock nestled in your cunt.
A surprised grunt tumbled from his chest and his hands groped at your body, holding you against him. You wasted no time before raising your hips and bouncing on his cock.
Dodge moaned and his eyes rolled back, covering his own mouth. A sheen of sweat on his skin glistened in the limited light. Leaning forward, your clit caught against his pubes, igniting a hotter flame within you.
"Good," Dodge praised, brushing your hair out of your face and watching your tits bounce in his face, "Such a good cowgirl."
He tipped his head back further into his plush pillow and his knees bent off the bed, fucking into you, his body pulling taut at the impending release.
"Gonna cum," Dodge rasped, panting and licking his dry lips.
You couldn't form words, only nodding, meeting his eyes and rocking your hips with the uncoordinated buck of his. The band within you was one thread away from snapping before Dodge gripped your jaw and pulled you into a heated kiss.
White hot bliss coursed through your body as you moaned into his mouth. Dodge mouthed at your unresponsive mouth, too preoccupied with moans of pleasure to reciprocate his kisses.
Dodge pulled back to watch your orgasm wash over you before he hit his peak, white ropes of cum filling the condom as he groaned deeply.
Sinking into the mattress, you lay on his sweaty chest, both trying to catch your breath. Dodge discarded the condom in the trash by his bed and pulled you into his side.
His cheeks and neck were rosy with exertion and he ran a hand up and down your back, "You should try saddle bronc."
Fucked out, you laughed into his sweaty chest, "You should keep that book."
Slowly you drifted into a blissful sleep, bodies entwined and satiated.

hii i love the way you write the bllk characters. can i request sae itoshi x reader where the reader attracts a lot of attention from men and they start flirting with her but she’s so oblivious and dense so she doesn’t see it that way, but sae realizes and gets jealous and reveals their relationship to the public even though they were supposed to keep it private so no one would harass the reader online or get swamped with questions by interviewers?? sorry if this is confusing, ty in advance :3
“𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞”
a/n: thank you!!!
i just know sae would be so possessive or maybe i'm being delusional
his hair is disastrous (i want him to yell at me)

sae had always been a man of precision. he read the field like a seasoned strategist, calculating every move before the other players could even see it coming. that was how he operated in life, too, meticulous, composed, and annoyingly good at keeping his emotions on lockdown.
but right now? right now, he was fuming.
he watched you from across the room, arms folded, jaw clenched so tightly it could’ve cracked a diamond. his sharp eyes, as perceptive as ever, caught every glance sent your way. every lingering stare. every guy who wandered just a little too close. and worst of all, you didn’t notice a thing.
“oh, you’re funny!” you laughed, oblivious as hell, after what was definitely a weak attempt at a joke. sae knew it was weak because he could hear it from where he stood. something about traffic lights or oranges. gosh, it was so unfunny.
and yet, there you were, all smiles, eyes sparkling, just being your usual kind self. and they were eating it up.
sae scowled. your warmth, the very thing he adored, was now driving him insane.
he knew you weren’t flirting. you were just being friendly, the way you always were. but these men? they were definitely flirting. sae could see it in their eyes, in the way they leaned in, in how they made their voices lower and smoother. one of them even had the audacity to brush his knuckles over your wrist when you handed him a drink.
that was the final straw.
without thinking, sae pushed off the wall, storming toward you with the same lethal grace he carried on the field. his hand found your waist, possessive and firm, and before you could blink, he tugged you flush against his side.
“what –” you turned, blinking up at him with wide, confused eyes.
“we’re leaving,” he muttered, voice low and clipped, and in one swift motion, he was guiding you toward the exit.
the VIP lounge room quieted slightly at the sudden display. people stared. reporters froze mid-sentence. and your eyes widened when you realized sae wasn’t just walking next to you, he was holding your hand. in public.
the same hand he always tugged into his coat pocket when paparazzi were nearby. the same hand he always let go of before he stepped onto the field.
“sae…?” you whispered, brows furrowed in confusion.
but he didn’t answer. instead, he kept walking, grip firm, jaw tight. and by the time you were outside, you heard the first faint camera clicks.
“sae, what are you –”
he stopped abruptly, turning to face you. his teal eyes were sharp, turbulent, like a brewing storm. for a moment, he just stared at you. then, without a word, he leaned in.
his lips crashed against yours.
it wasn’t soft or hesitant, it was bold, deliberate. he kissed you in front of everyone, in front of the cameras, in front of the world. his hand slid up to your jaw, keeping you in place as if daring you to pull away. when he finally parted from you, the warmth of his breath lingered on your lips.
stunned, you gawked at him. “what… what was that?”
his eyes were still dark, almost challenging. his voice was low, rough around the edges. “you’re mine.”
your heart stuttered. you blinked at him, unsure whether you’d misheard. surely he didn’t just –
“mine,” he repeated, firmer this time, like he was making it clear to everyone who dared to look.
the murmurs and whispers around you grew louder. phones were out. flashes were going off. the reporters were practically salivating. sae itoshi, the notoriously private prodigy, just revealed he was in a relationship.
you grabbed his wrist, pulling him slightly away from the growing crowd. “sae, what the hell?” you hissed, panic bubbling in your chest. “you know this is going to blow up! we agreed to keep it private! what about the media? the interviews? the harassment –”
“i don’t care,” he cut you off sharply, eyes flashing with something fierce. “i don’t care about them. they can think whatever the hell they want.”
he was still fuming, nostrils flaring slightly. his hand was still gripping your waist, like he was afraid you might slip away.
“they were flirting with you,” he muttered darkly, almost like he was still processing it, as if the thought itself made his blood boil.
you blinked. “… what?”
he stared at you like you were hopeless. “are you serious?” he let out a humorless scoff. “they were all over you. you didn’t even notice.”
“i didn’t –” you frowned, baffled. “they were just being nice. we were just talking –”
“no. they weren’t being nice.” his voice was clipped, sharp. “they were looking at you like they wanted you.”
you were still processing his words when he suddenly leaned down again, brushing his lips over yours. this time, softer. slower. more possessive than impulsive. he kissed you like he needed to remind you who you belonged to.
his forehead rested against yours when he pulled away, his breath uneven. “let them know,” he muttered, voice low and rough. “let them all know you’re mine.”
your chest tightened. you searched his eyes, still slightly shocked by the public display, but the intensity in his gaze left no room for hesitation.
“okay,” you whispered softly.
his eyes softened slightly, only for you. “good.”
and just like that, sae itoshi, the cold, stoic, untouchable soccer prodigy, walked back through the crowd with your hand in his, unbothered by the flashing cameras or the wide-eyed reporters scrambling for their questions.
because the only thing that mattered to him was the fact that everyone finally knew you were his.
