Omggg i saw the new episode of jjk and it gave me such a big idea i think you'd love. Imagine one day sukuna finds his wife that he married thousands of years ago and due to their marriage his wife was granted immortality. And just like she never cheated or kissed another man just waiting for her husband to return and when they reunite (even if he doesnt say it) he is over the moon and just wants to never leave his wifes side ever again. Just much fluff and romance ahhhh

Sukuna scoffed to himself, the boy had finally allowed him to take control after all this time. Even in this deep underground it felt good to feel the air on his face and not through that brat. He continued forward. Thousands of year of stored power and he had been reduced to a fraction of it, despite the immense power he held he couldn't help but miss the time when he ruled over the landscape, unchallenged.

He had a partner even, the one human who he couldn't bring himself to kill, the one he realized he couldn't live without. You had married him, been granted immortality by his hand, and still he had lost you. His last memory before being split and exorcised, was you running to him, crying his name. He was happy that was his last memory.

Sukuna tore himself from his own thoughts, they so often drifted to you but right now he wanted to use the small amount of freedom he was granted.

He moved his hand foreword, fire erupting from his fist as he threw the heat forward, it crashed through a wall, tunneling through the train station. He heard peoples screams like music to his ears, he walked foreword through the rubble. People ran, screaming, away from him. Fire cast from all around him, bursting every human in his sight into flames, he hummed contently to himself.

"S-Sukuna?" A feeble voice trembled from beside him

He knew that voice, he knew that voice, he slowly turned, a truly befuddled expression on his face, his lip curled as he dare not get his hope up but...

There you were, you looked exactly as gorgeous as the last moment he saw you, nothing changed, your clothes were more modern of course but there was no mistaking it, you were here.

"I knew it was you!" you cried, tears streaming down your face. You threw yourself into his arms.

He was too stunned to speak, his arms unmoving, all he could he process was the blood running down your leg, he moved his arms to gently put you down,

"Sakuna-"

"Did I do this to you?" He asked, his hand moving down to your leg, activating he reverse curse technique to heal the gash. He just couldn't believe that he had hurt you, it had been 1000 years and the first thing he did was hurt you

"Oh my love don't worry about that now" you smiled gently, you had always forgiven him no matter what he did

You moved a hand to his face to gently tip his head to look at you.

"I thought you would have found someone else by now, had a family moved on, I mean I'm sure you have" his voice grumbled low in his throat

"I would never" you leaned your forehead against his "I haven't touched a single souls since I lost you, I-I knew you would come back just like you promised"

Sakuna remembered the promise he had made to you that dim moonlit night, on the engawa of the palace you shared, that he would never leave you, even if the world fell apart he would always find you.

"I've missed you" he whispered moving his lips to kiss yours, he moved back to take in your entire person

"Your as beautiful as the day I lost you" he breathed

You smiled sweetly

"What the hell is going on?!?-" the onlooker was silenced as his head burst into flames

You continued to smile as if it was nothing

He picked you up bridal style, "we'll go find the house we used to share" he smirked to you

"I'd like that" you giggle

'Hey what the hell is going on' the brat who's body he had been forced to posses voice rang out in his head

Sukuna slapped his face "just shut it would ya" he growled to himself

"What was that?" you questioned from his arms

"I have a lot to explain" he breathed out

Underrated QSMP Duos/Groups

Tina and Forever

Since day one Tina has had a soft spot for Forever, of which she stated during the Bagina date. She talked about how much of an impression he made on her when he welcomed them to the server, and she really did feel welcomed by his presence. During the Happy Pills arc, she was probably the most consistent person to ask and worry about his state outside of the Curing squad

Felps and Maxo

Fofoquieros who gossip about other people's love lives, enough said

Maxo and Baghera

They can match each others' energy so well in both comedy and with lore and investigations. They're also surprisingly keen on picking up on each others' subtleties

Forever and Pac

Probs not underrated after Happy Pills but they're moments sometimes go unnoticed. Pac is one of the people Forever trusts the most, and Pac looks up to Forever probably more than anyone save for maybe Fit. Pac was given a direct message in Forever's goodbye message, and his reaction should show you just how much they mean to each other (os moços <3)

Foolish, Mouse, Tina, Felps

They hung out together and did dungeon raids that one time after a big lore event and while Foolish, Mouse and Tina already know each other quite well, Felps fit in and matched their energy perfectly. 10/10 vibes that stream was

Ironmouse and Philza

Don't have too many moments together but when they do, they always make each other laugh. That one time they had to be spies but couldn't keep quiet cause they kept making each other crack up pretty much says it all

Tina and Badboyhalo

Somehow Bad annoys Tina more than Foolish does and that in itself is an accomplishment, but just like Bad and Foolish, Bad and Tina still hang out together quite a bit, and they're bickering has just become part of the friendship <3 (also this post)

Rivers and Roier

Rivers is a bit more reclusive so I don't see her talk to people that much, but her and Roier are great friends who can be themselves around each other. They're very funny together and have come up with some great bits/gimmicks, and we get to see Rivers being herself at some of her best when he's around. Roier also gets to joke around with her in ways that sometimes fly over other peoples' heads (sometimes its cultural, sometimes its just a Rivoier thing)

Etoiles and Antoine

They won't be underrated to the French community, but the non-French may have missed how great these two are (and all the French tbh, Baghera + Etoiles are another great duo). Etoiles and Antoine are those friends who have been married for 1000 years and also insults each other whenever the other one breathes; they know each other like no one else and can bring out the most in each other (whatever that "most" is depends on the time of day)

AyPierre and Maxo

Despite the breakup, at their peak Maxo and Pierre could always convince each other to say and do the most batshit things that most other people wouldn't be able to draw out of them. They make each other act way more cursed in the best way (see the Furry club for evidence); there's a sort of freedom in being able to find someone who's just as much of a freak as you are

Foolish and the Capybaras

Foolish actually knows the capybaras quite well, and has each of them distinctly memorized in his mind (he even named most of them). He pays attention to who they are as individuals, and he finds genuine delight in their antics. They've felt appreciated and happy enough with him that they allowed him to be their king, and its because of Foolish that they developed stronger lore relevancy

Mr Beast is being "cancelled" because he's friends with a trans woman who commissioned art from someone who might be a predator. People are asserting this as "proof" that Mr Beast is a predator, himself.

Okay anon let's debunk this because after making the post I did some digging on this. Feel free to make your own conclusions.

Shadman is a pedophile. That's cut and dry. He was a very prolific nsfw artist who specialized in loli. He literally made porn of Keemstar's 8 year old daughter. This was normalized at the time Shadman was active and many other creators were seen friendly with him. If you see this behavior as 'normal' and not harmful, please block me.

Ava was seen messaging and being buddy buddy with Shadman when Shad was still active. On stream she pulled up Shad's website by accident. One time, Shad tweeted out a picture of an underaged character from an anime with the caption being "Why are people sending me this?" Ava's response was something along the lines of "please Shad". Later on even in a Mr Beast video in Ava's house one of Shad's pieces was seen on the wall. Jimmy himself even looked straight at the piece.

People are not attacking Ava just because she's a trans woman. Is the hate worse because she's a trans woman? Yes. The same people who couldn't care less about the Dr Disrespect thing are the same ones who were the most vocal about the Ava thing. But to simplify it as just transphobia is simply incorrect because at the end of the day, trans or not, Ava is a person and all people can be terrible people.

Also, it is very possible Jimmy knew all about Ava being a creep. He was in the discord server while Ava was apparently making very sexual jokes to minors in that same server. But anon, who is alleging that Jimmy's also a predator? He turned a blind eye to Ava's creepiness, sure, but nowhere I've seen has also said that Jimmy's guilty of the same actions.

And finally, the Ava stuff is not the only reason Jimmy's under hot water recently. Dogpack 404 made a video talking about all of Jimmy's faults as a creator. This video touched upon the following: his lotteries being illegal, him rigging his videos, him selling fake signatures, him advertising Feastables as a healthy brand when it literally has the same ingredients as Hershey's, and generally just scummy behavior. Dogpack recorded the video before the Ava stuff came out. Other stuff has also come out about his game show, beast games, where contestants talked about the poor treatment and how some people didn't have access to medication, health products, or even food. Eliminated contestants were offered 1000 dollars in hush money. And all of this probably would've come out regardless of Ava being exposed. It was coming eventually. Dogpack was also given a cease and desist and apparently the beast team are searching for ways to ruin his life. Dogpack goes more in depth about this in a Twitter thread

So yes. Mr Beast is a scummy piece of shit. You should not be supporting him or his content. And on another note, fuck all the commentary youtubers staying silent on this topic just because Jimmy's their friend (looking at you, Ludwig and your terrible ass stream). But in the long run, this will not impact Jimmy's channel because his fanbase is mostly children who either don't know or don't care. But his reputation in the greater internet landscape has been tainted, for better or for worse. To anyone reading this, I hope this correctly educated you on the situation, though I may have missed a few major points. Have a nice rest of your day : )

It's halfway through the year! Got any favorite albums/books/tv shows/whatever to recommend?

I'm gonna be honest, I feel like I have been VERY behind on reading/watching/listening to ANYTHING this year. I've only gotten through 3 books, and have big to listen to/to watch/to play piles, but! I shall try to find something to rec.

Books/Comics I have only read 3 books this year and I hattteeee it, but at least one of them was Hanif Abdurraqib's A Little Devil In America, which I finally got around to after buying it almost 3 years ago. 1000% must read imo. I'm sitting on his new one that came out a couple months ago, and I AM going to read this year. I AM. Also, I went to go see him speak a few weeks ago and he complimented my Fireworks shirt because he is one of the few people who loves them as much as I do.

I have read a lot of comics this year though! James Tynion's The Deviant is probably the one I would recommend to you most specifically, it is VERY dark, but VERY good. It's still in progress though, but I think should be wrapped up by the end of the year. Also Jeff Lemire's Phantom Road. It's real weird, I dunno what the hell is going on with it, but I'm enjoying the ride so far. Jeff has another book running right now called Fishflies, which is more traditional Lemire, weird and sad and Canadian. Also very good, but Phantom Road is the one I'm currently enjoying more of the two if I had to pick.

TV/Movies I finally got around to watching the first season of The Terror, which I was a FOOL for missing out on when it was first released. What a fucking television program!!! But other than that, I think anything else you might be interested in that I've seen you've already watched lol. I don't know if Julio Torres' work is up your alley, but his new show Fantasmas is fucking great so far. Very in the weirdo vein of Los Espookys, or like, literally anything he has ever created.

In a weird twist I've watched a lot more movies this year than TV, which hasn't happened in perhaps ever? My biggest recommendation will be for The People's Joker, which unfortunately is not available to stream anywhere yet, I don't think, but hopefully should be soon. I also, to very much my own surprise, really enjoyed the Glenn Powell vehicle Hit Man. Richard Linklater I think can be very hit or miss, but this one was fun if bizarre.

Music I've been trying very hard not to get caught up in the FOMO of roughly 40 albums being released a week that I want to listen to. I think I've finally hit a wall of how much new music I can actually sit down and listen to and appreciate in a given week, so this year has been an exercise in letting go of the need to be on top of everything the second that it drops.

There's this band called Super American that I love, and I can't really figure out why? They're a scrappy little pop-rock-ish duo thing, and they can write hooks for days, but it's often mixed with some of the corniest shit I've ever heard. There's one track on their new record (called Gangster of Love, I fucking hate it) that has a part that sounds like a fucking LFO song. It should suck! I don't know why I don't think it sucks! So your mileage may really vary with that one, but I think baseline it's a fun and silly little summer record.

Also, I can't believe I'm saying this, but the new Story So Far album...rules? Truly did not expect it at all. Parker I am so sorry your dad died, but my god you guys wrote some of your best songs out of it. And for a left-er field rec, the new Hurray for the Riff Raff that came out earlier this year is fantastic, a kind of meandering back to some of their original sound, but in such a more realized way than those earlier records. Just a very gentle and beautiful album.

Writing Interview Tag Game

When did you start writing?

A looooooong time ago. Haha. As a kid there was a several year period where I thought I wanted to be an author as a career, and always liked writing even after I moved on to other plans. The stuff I wrote as a kid is mostly lost to time, although I do still have the Google doc of a “novel” I wrote for my senior English project in high school. I haven't had the courage to look at it for a long time because it is uh. Not Good. :P (No judgment on my past self - we become better through trying and learning. But it would probably be unrecognizable compared to my writing now.) 

Are there different themes or genres that you enjoy reading than what you write?

Sort of? I like reading scifi and fantasy and the majority of my writing has also been in those genres. But I also like reading things like regency romance, historical fiction, very specific types of horror, etc. that I have no real interest in trying to replicate. 

Can you tell me about your writing space?

Sometimes I write on my phone flopped on the couch - that's how I'm writing my answers to these questions in fact! I'm a pretty fast phone typist but it's still a slower process, though, so when I really want to buckle down I usually go to my desktop computer which is in the office. Right now it's a big wooden corner desk but I'd like to replace it with a couple of smaller ones that are more easy to maneuver and put cool rgb lights on for the Gamer Aesthetic. XD

What’s your most effective way to muster up a muse?

Lately as I've been trying to write more consistently, I've been having a lot of luck with this web app called 4thewords.com. It's a bit of gamification but the main thing I like about it is you pick an amount of time and a word goal and it sets a timer for you and it has proved REALLY effective for forcing me to just get words down on paper. The first draft is the hardest for me by far and it's been often really useful for getting over that hump. So lately I'll set myself up for 500-1000 words or so per day of “battles” and that gets me the forward momentum that I'm trying to maintain. 

That said, I'm also trying to be better about not forcing myself to write when it's just not coming at all. I don't want to burn myself out. 

Are there any recurring themes in your writing?

I am sure the answer is yes but it's hard for me to distinctly identify them. (I'd be interested in hearing reader answers to this question.)

Off the top of my head, though - missing scenes, mutual pining, struggles with emotional control. I think one major thing is that, as someone who missed my prime dating years due to the Big Sad, a lot of my characters do have an underlying thread of finding love/fulfillment/connection despite obstacles, later in life, or when they feel they don't deserve it or don't know how to do it. 

What is your reason for writing?

The same reason I was almost an actor, the same reason I like making people laugh on my stream. Hell, even the same reason I like programming and making software that improves someone's day. 

I like making people feel things. I like seeing their reaction to something I've done and hearing that it evoked something in them. This is the most fundamental human connection in my opinion. 

Is there any kind of specific comment or type of comment you find particularly motivating?

Honestly, any time someone takes time out of their day to leave any type of comment at all, it's guaranteed to make my whole week. But in keeping with my previous answer - my favorite comments are ones where I get to hear about how I affected the reader's emotions, or where they mention particular parts that really struck them. Those always make me really happy. c:

How do you want to be thought about by your readers? 

Interesting question. I think… as someone who is good with character voices and keeps tight hold of the fundamental core of the characters even when putting them in different situations. Someone who can manage both angst and humor well. Once again, I'd like people to look forward to what I write because they know it's gonna make them feel something that they enjoy. 

What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?

Character voices and dialogue. I've been told I've been very good at catching the cadence of different characters, and some of my favorite things to write have been just bouncing those voices off each other and seeing what happens. I think this is really the pillar on which all the rest of my work is able to stand bc the characters feeling like themselves makes the rest have more impact. 

How do you feel about your own writing?

This really depends on when you catch me, haha. Some days I'm really proud of it, and some days I have a hard time seeing anything good in it. Currently in a bit of a trough of overthinking it, but I’m lucky to have a couple readers who are v supportive which helps. <3 Overall though I think I do a good job and have some interesting stories out there and in my to-do list. (I also tend to way over-compare myself to other people in the fandom; there are so many incredible writers around here that it's hard to put myself next to them.)

When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, or do you write purely for yourself, or a mix of both?

A mix of both, I suppose? Certainly in picking what I want to write about I am thinking primarily about what I would find fun to write and not about what has a “market” in the fandom per se. But I also am lucky enough to have found other people who do enjoy the same characters as I do and enjoy my take on them, and in that sense I am definitely often more excited about a particular idea because I know one or more of my friends would be excited to read it. :D So both things are definitely a factor.

4. a story idea you haven’t written yet

Oh my god so first idea I've been meaning to do was very shortly after I got the Murder on Eridanos DLC. There is a line that Max says, or a line that's said next to max about the Captain being the inspector instead of Captain for a bit, right? Well, I found this reddit thread a while ago and I cannot for the life of me find it again, that connected a lot of Max's actions to alcoholism (The OSI vial in his room, when he's in the penthouse one of his idle animations is drinking from a flask, him in the last hope with Parvati, etc).

Well, I have a fic that's started, and it brings together Max being drunk, an offhand line from his about sweets being forbidden, as well as some like... title play with the Captain.

7. your preferred writing fonts

If I'm working on one shots, I usually stick with Arial at 11 pt(The standard google drive settings), but if I'm working on something with some real length and depth (such as Cabinet Man or Portrait of A Lady) I'll usually write my first drafts in Courier new at like 5 pt. I find it's easier to write a stream of consciousness if I can't seen the words super clearly.

17. talk about your writing and editing process

Talking very generally, most of my fics start with a one page document where I kind of shot gun blast my brain storm. A small scene is created first, only to build from there.

If It's a multichapter, I do make a bulletpoint list, and a plot chart dependign on how I want the action to flow. During this process, if a chapter decides that it wants to be written, I'll usually just take a moment from the plotting to draft out the thoughts. if it doesn't make it into the final cut, usually I'll keep some dialogue or it was needed to flesh out a problem that was going to arise in the plotting section.

I'll jump around the plot points I detailed, writing 500-1000 word chapters as I see fit. Then, i'll flesh out those chapter discriptions into real chapters, reading the bridges between chapters to see if anything's missing. At that point, I like to set the fic aside for a couple weeks and work on other writings to let it stew and settle.

Once I get to editing, that's when i bump the font size up to 11 and go to town with reordering sentences, working on tense of sentences, swapping scenes and chapters around, and whatever else I need to do to make the story flow with as minimal plot points missing as I can.

18. if you keep them, share a deleted sentence or paragraph from a published fic

I have exactly one line, and it was from a fic with Maxim Horvath from a couple years ago.

"The smell of fear coming from you…. Addictive." The voice curled around the room, tightened around columns and betwixt cobwebs.

ok warning im adding in after writing all this i just ramble about bedrockverse and tmmyrp for like a bunch of paragraphs.

its kind of interesting to me to think abt tmmyrp sometimes. like he started as ctommy as this blog that would follow alongside the canon streams. when dream broke out of prison i had tmmyrp act as the aftermath of that stream and freak out on tumblr.

but at the same time hes so different than ctommy. for one i think hes honestly a bit too mature to be canon ctommy in how he handles conflict (i.e.: the argument with technoblade in december last year). hes so different and my silly idea of including every different tommy design by making him shapeshift has now had deep and important connections to the plot. tommy flew michael back to see ranboo when he was revived. tommy grew tulips when he and tubbo ran off to petalsbrough- AND OH PETALSBROUGH MY PETALSBROUGH.

tommy and tubbo genuinely getting scared enough of dream- who unlike in current canon was a real, up close, and consistent deeply terrifying threat- to LEAVE the main smp. the fact that its still connected by a long tundra path of like 1000 blocks to SNOWCHESTER. its so interesting and i love the lore of that location so much i forget it isnt real. tubbo built an apiary there that never got used. tommy built up a house that was nearly identical to his old one because he missed it so much. when dream found their location through ranboo, he started burrowing fucked up tunnels underneath it to navigate the island easier and always be right behind him. when tubbo left for techno and phil's, tommy hid in tubbos house because he was scared. and that nether portal island right next to it where that confrontation happened between him and dream was TERRIFYING but it felt so so canon it was amazing.

the difference there in how tommy acted in an exile 2 situation was that at that maturity level- both the canon amounts of growth and the added bits of tmmyrp- he knew what dream was trying to do, and just went completely blank and dissociated the fuck out and didnt even respond to anything he said.

and during all of that the shapeshifting bits became environmental storytelling. when he died the first time and spent a month in limbo with ghostbur, the flowers went from tulips to blue cornflowers and he gave one to ghostbur before he was revived. the longer he spent with dream, the more draconic features started appearing on him, and he went slightly numb in the rain because bits of enderman also appeared after an argument with ranboo right before dream showed up.

and the way that before petalsbrough and before dream started tracking him down closely, tommy had another argument with technoblade in the basement of technos house. this was after their massive argument too it had been a while. and tommy told techno about exile first before anyone else before even tubbo and i think thats something so important and interesting to think about. and so techno knew what was happening when tubbo realized dream had tommy, and he was the one to approach dream first to confront him. and goddd god the rest is history with that bit it was so amazing it was one of my favorite bits of lore weve done with those blogs if you have the time go back to early february or late january and just reread those threads we did they were amazing.

but also once he was saved, he started talking to songbird again and holy shit the crimeboys era (which we are still in) has been so great. its so similar to canon in how tommy can read him like a book, knows how he works. but tmmyrp consistently goes about it by just acting like HE wants to do something, and wilbur should join him because hes not just going to leave tommy alone to DIE now is he? and so he- while i dont think canon ctommy in any way needs to be the one to "save" cwilbur, this is different theres a lot of buildup and it isnt even "saving" so. yeah. but he swims in the river with wilbur and makes food with wilbur and hangs out with wilbur but not enough.

thats the thing. it wasnt enough. because before casinoroyale joined the group, songbird kind of didnt have anyone. tommy was still quite frankly scared of wilbur, and was off in petalsbrough dealing with dream- wilbur was the only person NOT THERE when dream died. well casino too but casino wasnt a part of the rp group yet lol. so there's this strange distance between songbird and tmmyrp thats been so tense and everyone can feel it up until like. pretty recently. maybe july?? maybe june?? only now has tmmyrp started going and hanging out with songbird in a casual friendly way again. and man i love those threads. the fucking queen dying in the middle of a thread with songbird and having him break down over it was the funniest shit in the world.

where do I start??

i almost missed the draft haha. I managed to mooch off of walmart's wifi and watched a stream of someone else's stream of the draft for three hours. I actually watched sportsnet's yt stream for most of it and saw some player interviews but they ran right through the actual draft and I missed half of the picks and then they just stopped streaming half way through the first round. I'm trying to catch up on all the content and find a good quality stream to make gifs of. i'd love to know what everyone else thinks about any of this or anything else!

putting this in point form because i have a lot of random thoughts here and i'm sure i'll be annoying about draft stuff all weekend

Prefacing this by saying that i don’t know much about most of the teams that these players went to so i can’t give a good estimate to how they’ll work out in the organization. i know i'm not the only person who thinks this draft has more talent than the average draft. the top five projected picks could have easily been first overalls in any other year and the first two rounds are full of players that i think will have decent careers. i'm mostly in it for the fun friendships!

not much to be said about the top five. I think carlsson will fit better in anaheim and fantilli will be better in columbus. and he wanted to go there. will smith looks good in teal. He’s got that golden retriever thing that thomas bordeleau is going to hate. Reinbacher doesn’t deserve all the hate he’s getting. I’m excited to see how he does with the habs. I’m really surprised michkov fell so low. With picks like reinbahcer and simashev, i figure the teams that drafted them have a plan. It’s interesting to see what teams decide based on what they think their organization will benefit from. 

lots of whl players that went undrafted in previous years i think deserved to get drafted and i hope some will sign as free agents but i was happy to see milic and hanzel drafted.

notable draft buddies: lukas dragicevic and caden price to seattle. I’ve never cared about seattle but these two have been two of my favourite dmen to watch in the dub and on the u18 team.

nashville gets tanner molendyk and kalan lind. i wasn’t expecting molendyk to go so high but i personally think he’s one of the best dmen in the draft. His skating is a big strength. lind is a mitch marner type. Great until he opens his mouth. i got a little bit of dylan mackinnon (qmjhl) at the prospect game and i feel like he and lind will get along. and of course samuel honzek and jaden lipinski from the giants got drafted to calgary together!! i really wish they did all the rounds on the same day just so we could get pictures of players together in their jerseys. and for literally no reason i’m excited about leonard/cristall/allen in washington together.

the flyers have some good picks. I think in a few years, after michkov joins the team and the other prospects develop more, the future of the team will be really exciting. I like hart but i’m excited to see bjarnason. 

I personally think some players from the whl went way too low, cristall and heidt are definitely steals. I think a lot of teams will regret passing on them. wild fans seem to like heidt already. but that being said, i think danielson at 9, benson at 12, and yager at 19 was really good. i think every single player was jealous after yager got that call from crosby haha.

Heidt and ziemmer: these are my guys. Was 1000% not expecting minnesota and la but could be worse. 

The jets org is looking interesting with barlow, milic, and levis but i don’t know if i can go jets. Apparently milic is going pro this next season which will be interesting and i want to see ratzlaff as the starting goalie in seattle this year. it’s always complicated with goalies because you want to love them all and you also want them to play but that’s not always possible. i’m worried about hart/bjarnason but i figure that bjarnason will slowly transfer to the flyers when he’s ready and by then hart will have been pushed out or have moved on. I do like him but i can give him up in a few years. sorry. and now we finally have levi on the sabres and i know it’ll be a while until ratzlaff is ready for the pros but i’m not liking that situation either. 

I think myatovic absolutely deserved to go so high. He’ll need more development like everybody else but he’s a big guy and i think he’ll be notable in the future. With most of the core thunderbirds players moving on, i think myatovic will really step up.

in conclusion, i think i've accepted the draft order haha and not to use the word "exciting" for the thousandth time but i think this will be an exciting upcoming season and i can't wait to see how this draft class turns out over the next few years.

timeline shenanigans

alright so i realized that my whumptober prompts wind up skipping around the timeline a WHOLE lot so i think i should probably put an explanation of how that all goes on here!

TLDR: i see dsmp canon as being considerably longer than what we have in terms of IRL time. longer explanation under the cut

okay. so. lets talk timeline. my main dsmp canon timeline centers ctubbo and how old he is which. is kinda funny but also makes things hard to explain. so let’s try to figure this out. i also operate under the assumption that the world is filled with WAY more people than we see on stream, so keep that in mind.

5000+ years before DSMP: philza (32) dies. in her grief, trixtin (31) ascends to godhood and becomes Death, making philza her angel

1000+ years pre-DSMP: eret and foolish meet. at some point, eret dies, and foolish makes a deal with death so that they reincarnate.

~370 years pre-DSMP: eret is reincarnated as a royal

~200 years pre-DSMP: wither cult era. victorian england type vibes.

~100 years pre-DSMP: eret and foolish reunite on a train (link to a fic!)

now we get into the tubbo-centric stuff. this is how i understand the timeline which. rip. let’s see how we do with this. in terms of time, assume that like cctubbo, ctubbo’s birthday is in late december

4: tubbo is found on the side of the road by philza (5000+) and taken in

10.5: tommy (10) is found by wilbur (19-20) and taken in. elsewhere, the royal/greater SMP is founded

11: tommy (10.5), tubbo, and wilbur (20) go out into the world, meet eret (19), wind up in the territory known to us as the Dream SMP

11.5: l’manberg is founded, starts as a small commune of sorts, and people begin joining.

12.5: fundy is born, ages at a 7:1 ratio (by the time he is 1 full year old, he is the equivalent of a 7 yr old)

14: l’manberg declares independence, war begins

15: fundy’s aging slows down once he reaches adulthood (3 years of existing, equivalent to 21 human years)

16 (may/june): final control room and deal with dream happen. l’manberg gains independence

16.9 (like. november.): wilbur (26) decides to hold an election

17 (january): schlatt wins election shortly after tubbo’s 17th birthday. tommy (16.5) and wilbur (26) are exiled, form pogtopia

17.9 (december): manberg festival happens Weeks before tubbo’s 18th birthday.

18.4 (may/june): manberg vs pogtopia war. wilbur (26) names tubbo as interim president, blows up manberg city square as cleanup efforts begin, dies

18.5 (june/july): ranboo (18.7) moves to the DSMP

18.7 (october): interim president tubbo is named Real President amid chaos following wilbur’s death

19 (january): shortly after birthday, george’s house is burned down. investigation takes a month (start of february), and at the end, tommy is exiled.

19 (early early may): tommy (19) escapes exile; butcher army + techno’s execution happens. one day later, tubbo goes to visit tommy, discovers that he has “died”

19 (july): doomsday; stays in royal SMP territory for a while

19 (august): disc confrontation; dream is put in prison

20: sets out of the SMP with a number of l’manberg survivors and founds snowchester. nukes begin being built

21 (jan-april): gets married, adopts michael (3). tommy (20.9) is trapped in the prison, dies, is revived around march. nuke goes missing.

21 (may): red banquet happens

21 (june/july): wilbur (26, mentally 40) revived, las nevadas formed

22: invited to las nevadas

22 (march/april): burger arc

22 (july): prison break, ranboo (22.9) dies; revengers save michael (4.5)

edit/sidenote: ive got fics that divert from this bit specifically. within the king of kings timeline, michael is rescued from snowchester and brought to the castle, and stays there until after ranboo dies.

22 (september): wilbur apology tour

that’s as far as we have, so that’s what i’ve got in terms of timeline! hopefully this makes things make a little more sense when it comes to how much time is mentioned to have passed later on. some fun facts about this list: 1) wilbur is dead for five years instead of six months. the limbo time dilation stays the same though. 2) dream is in prison for just under two years.

I watched the livestream RT did the other day last night and I'm still feeling that sadness, I thought about posting something but didn't, but I guess I am?

I started watched RT in like 2010/2011, really got into them in 2012. But long before any of that, I watched RvB not knowing it was something RT did. It was on some other website that I can't even remember now, along with myriad of other content I found.

I stopped watching them after a certain On the Spot episode (I can't remember the number), with Gavin, Geoff, Jack, and Ryan. I remember this like it was yesterday, but was actually like 6-7 years now? Ryan made a rape joke and everyone went along with it and that's when I had enough of RT so I took a break.

2 or so years had passed and then STF formed and they started putting out videos. I loved their whole thing. They basically said, "this is my family and I'll bury anyone who hurts them". They did wholesome and chaotic stuff, the complete opposite of AH, which I still loved but I could no longer take the toxic content and bullying (the way friends will some times say terrible stuff to each other, but its supposed be in a "I love you" kind of way which is still horrible). Their whole group just meshed so well and it was what I needed at the time. My favorite video of theirs will always be a Minecraft vid, where someone starts a fire and absolute pure chaos happens and it is the funniest shit I've seen. They did a tiktok version of it and I've lost count of how many times I've watched it. And then they said STF was disbanding, it kind of hurt. They were the main reason I got back into watching RT, and then this little group of dorks I've come to call "home" was no longer a thing.

And then we get to now; the sadness I feel now... boy howdy, I didn't think typing this out would make me cry but here I am. Ahem... RT shutting down hurts a whole more than when The Creatures disbanded and I was more of a Creature fan than RT sadly. But it's as they said on the stream, RT was this whole other thing that existed. So much good came from them, so many good people, and unfortunately bad shit happened but that's bound to happen with anything. And now I'm just focusing on all the good things.

I'm a cry baby, so I 1000% cried tons during the stream, some broke me more then others. And thinking now, I will forever have "poopy diapers" stuck in my head. It was just some random thing that was said during one of the earlier Extralife stream where they were playing CAH, I can't remember the context of it being said but it was a team 2 Spoopy thing.

I went through the RT tag and there's just a whole lot of "they brought on themselves", "they should have made better money choices", and so on and so forth. But like, just chill the fuck out. We get it, you hate RT, cool, but like keep that to yourselves. Didn't you're parents ever tell you if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all? Hate and negativity is not needed right now, there's already enough of that in the world.

Anyway, I don't really know how to end this. I'll miss RT. <3

Trip report of the five lives I went to on my last trip to Japan--wait this is starting the same as the last post...ah well. This trip was only a weekender btw!

BanG Dream! 12th☆LIVE DAY 1 : Poppin'Party 「Welcome to Poppin'Land」 (11/3, Tokyo Garden Theater) Arrived late missing two songs thanks to an extra long flight due to volcanic ash (never did figure out exactly which volcano was going off). First time seeing all of Popipa perform as only 3 at most came to CharaExpo back in the day. It was...fine? It was very much a Popipa live. The framing device of the theme park and each song being matched to an attraction was cute, but it sort of made the setlist feel scattered. Three of their newest songs were performed, and the rest of the setlist generally skewed older with many that hadn't been performed in two years like 1000-kai Urunda Sora and CiRCLING. At least there was Time Lapse, but no Teardrops. The Yumenokessho POPY (the AI singing program based on the Kasumi voice) section fit the last and seemed generally disliked. Glad to mark the group off of my list, but it also showed why they're not a live priority for me. A joint live between them and MyGO!!!!! was announced, which I'd had a gut feeling was going to happen soon.

tipToe. 「homeroom mini-Halloween Special-」 (11/4, Shibuya Chelsea Hotel) A short and sweet mini live from the one chika idol group I actively follow. Was very happy to be able to fit this in to attend one more live before the group's graduation and final live next June. Small setlist, only recognized one song but that's just due to only really listening to one album. My oshi Rinchan remembered me from my Twitter replies :)

BanG Dream! 12th☆LIVE DAY 2 : MyGO!!!!! 「ちいさな一瞬」 (11/4, Tokyo Garden Theater) The franchise's second newest group and the one getting the most push, hot off the heels of their sleeper hit anime. I believe this was the first of the three lives to sell out its seats. My first time seeing this group as I wholly ignored their first year of existence due to the seiyuu being unknown, and didn't go to their 5th oneman live. The first part of the live, they were behind a projection screen that had the lyrics and MVs playing on it, a throwback to their "hidden" days I believe? I was very glad Noroshi was their opener as that is my second or third least favorite song in all of Bandori, so they got the pain (literally, the song hurts my head) out of the way quickly. Silhouette Dance is a whole banger and a half and I was full body swaying at the chorus. There was an intermission with these repetitive walking sounds that also annoyed me, but it led into a reenactment of the middle-end part of the anime with Ningen ni Naritai Uta, the full leadup to and including Utakotoba, and Melody. Shiori was appropriately done as the only acoustic song. No Haruhikage, which one other audience member riffed on after lights came back on by yelling "なんで春日影やったないの!?" (Why didn't you play Haruhikage!?). They had a Zepp tour leading up to the Popipa joint live announced, looking forward(?) to seeing if ticket sales stay strong for them.

Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight Band Live "Starry Session" revival (11/5, Makuhari Messe Event Hall) First Starlight live I've attended, this was a live that was supposed to take place in 2020 but was canceled/delayed until now. The theme along with having a live backing band was a selection of the songs performed were chosen and sorted by a draft meeting stream, also done three years ago. The draft songs were split by day and holy hell I'm glad that day 2 was the one I was able to attend because all of my favorites from the list (which honestly I didn't even know going into it) were performed. The entire draft section going from Otte Owarete Sirius, GANG STAR, then Onikurenai Nin Emaki, and ending on Gyoshite Gyoshaza was amazing (the songs not listed were also good, just not my favorites). And of course all the surrounding songs that were repeated between the days were surprisingly majority songs I knew as I've only watched the anime. At a couple points the cast walked up the aisles and the start of the encore had them on mini stages in the middle cross aisle. so I got a good view of some of the seiyuu. A very recommended live to watch if you want quality Kukugumi.

BanG Dream! 12th☆LIVE DAY 3 : RAISE A SUILEN 「REVEAL」 (11/5, Tokyo Garden Theater) As expected, the majority of the setlist was dedicated to the new REVELATION mini-album, with all five songs being performed in full and in album order with other things in between. Other than -N-E-M-E-S-I-S- (released earlier this year), the setlist skewed to older songs - literally their first eight releases, then the middle-era (ha) SOUL SOLDER and JUST THE WAY I AM. The album order is roughly how I'd rank the songs from favorite to least favorite as well, though STRAY CERBERUS is at the bottom for me. Two other notable things were the costume switch at the second intermission to their original character outfits, and Raychell once again doing "men! women! others! everyone!" for the crowd responses - major props that it wasn't a one off from last live. Overall not as good of a live as EXCLAMATION HIGHLAND or Heaven and Earth setlist wise but...BUT... The most important part was I was front row center. So I had a perfect view of everyone and everything And Tsumutsumu came all the way down front stage for JUST THE WAY I AM and perched on a stool right in front of me. So this live was god tier just based on that. A two-day oneman live in June was announced after the end, which I was iffy on attending (trying to get to a Roselia live next year) but then they announced that 10 songs would be fan chosen by survey so there's a chance for some underperformed stuff and now I'm committed to fit it in.

And that was my stupid YOLO weekender. Next Japan trip is...well, definitely end of May for D4DJ XROSS BEAT. Maybe before then for Roselia?

Silly little vent post because long forum is nice and I’m honestly exhausted. I streamed last night and apparently getting shit faced and promptly going to bed gives me time to reflect on my short comings.

I DESPERATELY want to go back to making soap, body butter, and perfume. I miss how good everything used to smell and making a product that literally everyone enjoyed. I have had such brain rot the last few days that I’ve been writing down scent profiles for Resident Evil, Dragon Age, and Mass effect characters but I just don’t have the funds to jump into soap making again after losing roughly 10k over the spans of a few years in both business and Cosplay supplies. I can’t even afford to ho back to making costume pieces anymore. I used to be successful and now I just feel run down and overall like a failure despite my best efforts after trying to get to a safe place. Now that I’m in that safe place it’s been impossible to pick up and no one wants to hire anyone either. I feel useless. I have so many card decline warnings in my emails, and I have all these bills that’ll likely stop getting paid because it’s hard to make ends meet.

Do I just crowdfund a skin care line? Like what do I do? How do I even pick up and start something like that? I am one person and I feel like I’d fail everyone because what if it blows up? What if it doesn’t blow up and it’s a waste of time? How would I even advertise a crowdfunded project? I legitimately have no idea.

Also I don’t even know if some one would WANT to smell like Albert Wesker, Varric Tethras, Karl Heisenberg, or Garrus Vakarian. I know I would, but that’s just me. I’m just so frustrated with myself and I’m afraid to attempt ANYTHING I could literally do so much for my business with $1000 and I don’t even know if I could raise that for SOAP.
