The long and nerve-wracking slowburn is what interests me more than established relationships (that's why I only write getting together fics lol), so in a reality where we get as many seasons as the writers wanted, it'd be so fun to watch the will they won't they with an obvious undercurrent of yes of course they will

And seeing Edwin lonely and pining for multiple seasons would be miserable, I'd gladly take him having temporary bfs along the way, and it'd be hella fun to watch him grow and learn in that way

I'm sure it would cause some delicious drama, jealousy, tension, pining, but ultimately, still bring Edwin and Charles together in the end <3
