Also that storyline gave us so much!! We got to see Carlos' rocky relationship with his dad, we got that wonderful Owen and Carlos scene, we saw him putting aside everything to look for TK, the way he shifted into detective mode and didn't stop until he had TK back, MY FAVOURITE HUG IN THE ENTIRE SHOW!!!! I WAS FED THAT EPISODE!!! I love love love that storyline so much ahhhhhhhhhh!!! Carlos was so good in it and I lose my mind a little every time I rewatch it. I just really really love the "throwing aside everything to save the person you love" trope. Maybe I should unpack why with a therapist but it's too early in the morning for that right now

Slashing! I just woke up and I have miraculously remembered the dream I had; and I must share with you! It's kinda sad, but also feel-good too? Like in a 'it's us versus the world, and I'm happy that you're the one with me' way.

Alright, so you have that headcannon that Greasy lived on the streets for a while, right? Well, in my dream, this was during that time. At least from what I can tell. Y/N (I say Y/N, but I genuinely don't remember who it was. I don't think it was me, I can't remember if it was you. It could have even been Shiny or one of the other weasels for all I know. So I'm going with self insert) and Greasy are sitting together, in an alley, taking shelter from the rain. I can't remember if they had cover, but I remember that they used a cardboard box as like an arm rest/table between them or something.

Anyways, these two are chatting. About what, I can't remember. But I remember that there was some dry laughter (the kind that you hear and you just know that they're not really happy, they're just trying to find some humor in this messed up situation they're in), before they started talking about deep stuff. Considering the setting, my guess is that they were opening up with each other and/or talking about the lessons and philosophy they've learned in life because of their situation. Which, at least in Greasy's case, it'd probably be something like 'kill or be killed'? Or some other saying that means that in order to survive, you have to use others.

The odd thing about this dream was that I distinctly remember Greasy smoking in the dream too. Not as bad as Wheezy, but I remember so vividly him pulling out a pack, taking one (just one. Wheezy, take notes) cig out, and lighting it up. So I guess my brain thinks younger Greasy smoked XD but I also remember him drinking from a beer bottle at the same time? Not with the smoke, I mean like I remember the same exact scene the dream camera focused on Greasy pulling out the cigarettes, but he instead takes a swig from the bottle, if that makes sense? So idk, maybe my brain realized this wasn't Wheezy, and replaced the cigarettes with alcohol in the middle of the dream XD

But yeah, that was my dream. Greasy and Y/N taking shelter in an alley while talking about life. Idk if this is purely platonic or there was a romance, but either way, I hope you get a kick out if reading this ^^

I remember they smoke. Lieutenant Memory: Oh yeah, but- Captain Brain: Sh sh sh, I got this. Okay! What next?- Oh lets put 'em in that lovely friends excellent origin headcanon- Lieutenant Memory: Alright alright... but SIR- Captain Brain: I'M BUSY, LIEUTENENT. ~ Several Moments Later ~ Lieutenant Memory: *Writes something on white board very angrily as the Captain wouldn't listen to them* *Shoves it in front of the Captains face, slamming in on the table in front of them* Captain Brain: What?- what?- what is it Lieu- Captain Brain: ... wait that one's not Wheezy?! Lieutenant: WHEEZY'S BLUE Captain Brain: WHAT!? Lieutenent Brain: He w h e e z e s. Because he s m o k e s, sir! Officer at the Controls: *Sighs. This job is not worth the college credit* I'll just stick a beer in his hand and hope she didn't notice...

Aries moon: super chill at first I assume the wilder side kicks in after

Taurus sun: Hate/love relationship they can be super cold the others usually aren't very judgemental more accepting

Taurus moon: very generous & is prone to a "cozy aesthetic"

Gemini sun: some of them are super chill others highly rude & annoying lacking filters often but both tend to live in there heads sometimes they need to let go of whats causing them to overthink

Gemini moon: AHHHHHHHHHH y'all are so damn authentic & accepting you dgaf about other peoples opinions & Like I said often are great conversationalists

Cancer sun: the super sensitive ones👀 then theres the cancers that are sweet often really bubbly & often treating others like family yet ppl really out here calling y'all crybabies some of y'all violent AF super in touch with feminine energy & emotions (moon tingz)

Cancer moon: very emotional & prone to crying however they do seem to care about thingz strongly but if y'all are upset over something y'all can say it cuz even if you try to bottle your feelings it shows often

louis' character in It's Fine To Fake It Til You Make It is soooo good, I keep thinking back to that fic and to him and I feel like he's so singular, the characterisation really sticks out, you did such a great job!!

Evermore is The storytelling masterpiece I mean I love The love triangle as much as the next person and folklore is obviously amazing but taylor really exceeded herself with evermore like every single song is a tale and I love that. I totally agree with you, it is really inspiring.

ANYWAY in the meantime I've read "down the line" (I finished a few weeks ago) AND I LOVED IT (perhaps I just really love everything you write). THE SLOW BURN WAS SO GOOD like sisksksk the way that Harry has a crush on Louis so early on is so cute compared to how Louis is like "I 😡 dislike 😡 this 😡 man 😡 that 😡 I 😡cannot😡take😡my😡eyes😡off😡and😡who😡so😡PURPOSELY😡hit😡my😡knee😡SOOO😡MUCH😡😡 also 😡 have 😡 i 😡 mentioned 😡 he 😡 has 😡 dimples? 😡 DIMPLES😡" sjsjsj also I loved Louis SO MUCH??? I want to be his friend. And I REALLY WANT TO GO TO CLEVELAND. your description of places/locations always makes me want to go to visit them. it's insane but everything seems so idyllic and has a certain stillness (or sadness?) that makes me want to DIVE!! into them. and that's that on your great descriptive skills.

Something that I reaaaaally loved about this fic though was the side characters! The team definitely felt like a little family (I loved Micah and James) and their dynamic was so heartwarming plus THE PRANKS AND FAB FIVE AND WATCHING AVENGERS IN HOTEL ROOMS 😭 i just loved loved reading this. 

i havent started the extra innings (yet!) but I'm really excited to see some things from Harry's pov, he was probably my favourite character (I loved Louis A LOT and I related to him so much sometimes but there was something about harry that was so amusing, he's a comfort character for me).

Anyway, I actually started writing this now because I JUST SAW THAT YOU POSTED WRITE THIS DOWN (FROM THE VAULT) AND I'M SCREAMING. I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES WHEN I SAW IT. I'M STILL SMILING WHILE LOOKING AT AO3 TO CONFIRM THAT IT'S NOT A DREAM CAUSE LIKE. AAAA. I'm so excited to read it. I still haven't but like. "they are so in love it is sickening" is perhaps the best tag ever. Right so I am still very much not over Ace quoting Shakespeare in episode 9. Like

A) “there are more things in Heaven and Earth Agent Park.” Is such a zinger and The Bard would be pleased with the delivery

B) he’s right but Agent Park kind of is too and Ace just completely sidesteps his point in the name of ~literary flair~ and also definitely because he’s peeved lol

C) it’s from HAMLET. And it’s one of HAMLET’S LINES. Ace being compared to an angst-ridden young man who feels isolated and is consumed with a task that fulfills a need for purpose and ends up procrastinating acting on anything that would take him forward at all until circumstances force him to act with little choice left as to what to do or how to be who he wants to be…fits really well and fills me with a vague anxiety. Hamlet put off avenging his father because he doesn’t know how to go about it without hurting his mother specifically and the people who care about him generally, so he keeps trying to make things right completely on his own (which skews his perception of events) and forces him to push away and hurt everyone who loves him and wants to stand by him. The only person he doesn’t lie to or hurt is his best friend, who ends up in a position of holding him as he bleeds out, biting back an I Told You So because what good is that in the face of losing someone you love? AHHHH. Ace doesn’t parallel him in every way, but he definitely has a similar relationship to Rebecca as Hamlet has to Gertrude and he tries to fix things on his own and there are certain ThiNgS he won’t act on and ends up damaging because he’s holding back or lashing out and not actually communicating ever. AhhhhhHHHHH.

D) the scene where Amanda tells Ace that he isn’t really the Good Guy™️ that he thinks he is reads so much like Hamlet’s “Get thee to a nunnery- wouldst thou be a breeder of sinners?” line to Ophelia. Like one is saying to the other that what they put into the would is poisonous and pathetic despite their best efforts, and that they shouldn’t try. To be clear, Amanda’s line came from a place of deep hurt and frustration and betrayal and Hamlet’s was aimed to hurt Ophelia so badly so that she’d leave him alone so that he could accomplish what he needed to without having to worry about her, soooo they are definitely not the same, but I think that the effect is kind of the same.

One couldn’t track direct parallels through Ace’s arc this season with Hamlet’s story, but I think that a lot of the themes are the same. Ace is under immense pressure from his father, tries to protect and look out for his mother, tries to expose and bring to justice an insidious father figure who misuses his power, pushes away and snaps at people who’s advice he can’t accept or thinks isn’t relevant, betrays and hurts people he used to have intimate relationships with for complicated political and moral reasons, and is wrestling with questions of love and honor and honesty and purpose and action and morality.

Iiiiiim just hoping that in this case the cursed key counts as the poisoned foil and that Ace’s story gets to keep developing beyond the Creepy Blue Realm. He is way less far gone than Hamlet was anyway, and probably has significantly better hair.
