As soon as the unfortunate Conan was in Château-Gontier he was “seized in the heart and suddenly died” in horrible convulsions, “just like his father had died”.

It’s a pointless (pre)sequel. They’ll probably keep making more because the allure of the minions is just too great and too easy a cashcow to let up.

Minions: The Rise of Gru

Minions: The Rise of Gru    [trailer]
The untold story of one twelve-year-old's dream to become the world's greatest supervillain.
Sometimes I need to just watch something silly, and the Minions certainly fit the bill. I can't say how often I watched the TV spot linked above to put me in a good mood.
The opening credits paying homage to James Bond movies just put a smile on my face.
After about an hour it turns into unncessary action overkill. But until then it's just enjoyable, silly fun.

Minions: The Rise of Gru - Movie Review
Minions: The Rise of Gru – Movie Review
